  • Maybe if it was random or had to be their own teachable perk. Otherwise survivors would bring more second chance perks and killers would bring more slowdown perks

  • The reason I don't like keys is when survivors purposely let you die on hook so they can get the hatch to spawn

Same, bloodlust being removed for this weekend will be heaven for console killers like me that get their hits robbed from bloddlust FPS drops all the damn time :D

No kidding. I've had so many hits robbed from me.

  • Survivors could always use the fountains to heal but only if they are infected. This works if they are injured or broken from infection.

The vile purge/ corrupt hitting survivors and not doing anything is from latency. I found when I turned off cross play this problem became less frequent.

Power struggle is a meme perk just like breakout and flip flop. I doubt it gonna change up the meta. Even that why would a killer take forever to get to the hook.

Could work with a sabo squad but the counter would be just don't walk through pallets

Surge activates upon a down. Some killer powers do NOT injure or down.

This would make such a change unbalanced and unfair. Why should only some killers get a significantly better advantage with a perk like Surge?

This would only be a buff to 8 of the 21 killers. I would say it's fair especially with it's conditions.

How often are you going to down a survivor near a gen. Most of the time they will run to the next loop.

Surge will not give good value to you if you can get multiple downs within a short time from the cool down. If surge did not have a cool down then yes I would agree that it would be very strong on a m2 killer

  • It depends on what a survivor does during the match. If they only do gens and avoid the killer they will only get bp for gens and surviving.

should I even explain how ineffective and inconsistent this is?

I'll agree that it won't work 100% of the time but I'll take my chances

  • You just need to play around it. If you suspect a survivor has spine chill try approaching at an angle not looking directly at them. That way their spine chill doesn't go off. I've noticed a lot of survivors that run spine chill don't look around when on a gen.

  • Just remove offerings that increase your bp. The challenge is currently bugged. I did it with prove thyself getting 8k a match. So you don't have to remove perks.

So do none of us know what a side-grade is? It's not always buff or nerf. Thanatophobia changes are just gonna make it meta on Legion and Plague. Plague is obvious, either they get smacked with what will probably be changed to -30% gen speed or give you Corrupt Purge, and imagine this build on Legion.

Monitor and Abuse, Coulrophobia, Thanatophobia, and Sloppy Butcher

Iridescent Button + Random Add-On IDK

It will be literal AIDS to play against.

No one will try healing during ff and it only lasts like 10secs. Sloppy will not work in ff either. So if survivors split up they will counter this build.

  • @BabyDweetMain said:

Maybe they don't count coughing as a grunt of pain. God I actually miss going against plague. Haven't seen one in over 7 months

She has a lot of bugs right now. Like using your power rubber bands you

  • Legion is underrated. He can keep everyone injured and get hits when other m1 killers can't. If you are chasing a healthy survivor and they pre throw a pallet thinking they're safe. That's when you frenzy over the pallet and hit them.

If you get a 3K with Hatch escape while still Gens need to be done, you won. Why care that much for the 4K? Like, you got a lot of BPs at this point, probably 4 BBQ-Stacks which is another load of BPs, most likely a Pip.

So why waste everyones time instead of just going to the next match by slugging?

If you are going for adept killer and you are a higher rank you need the 4k to get it

  • I lost my adept clown because of that exploit. The last two survivors were both injured and tbagging me on the hatch. I down one then they disconnect giving the other hatch

  • I died on 1st hook from a blendette self caring then once finished she slowly crouch walked across the map to the hook. The whole time the obsession was being chased.

All I know is I’ve seen so many posts this month specifically on how he needs to be nerfed because of his zoning ability.

Demo has the same zoning potential but never gets talked about

  • @SkeletalElite said:

It takes deathslinger like 5-10 frames to aim and like another 5-10 frames for the spear to travel. That's like 1/4-1/3 of a second to react. Around 100 ping that's about 1/10 second of delay from latency leaving you around 200 miliseconds to react. Consider average human reaction time about 250 miliseconds with extremely fast times being closer 200 miliseconds, it is mathmatically impossible to avoid a deathslinger spear. The only thing you can do is try to break line of sight at all times, but that is practically impossible. It's pretty much the definition of no counterplay.

Bad deathslingers are what make people think he has counterplay because the deathslinger misses their shot when the survivor jukes but it's literally just guessing, there is no cooldown or slowdown to faking shooting so you just have to guess when he'll shoot and even then a good enough aim can hit anyways. Your brain isn't a supercomputer that can analyze the situation and guess when a skilled deathslinger is going to fake or shoot with relatively high accuracy.

And even in the event you do manage to play in some way that prevents him from shooting you, it's either doing 1 of 2 things. 1) just endlessly blocking line of sight on 1 object and eating m1 hits (not effective) or 2) Throwing pallets extremely early so the deathslinger has no chance to use his power as anti looping (boring for both players)

No counterplay in this case does not mean unbeatable, a team doing their gens fast enough and using strategy 2 can easily beat a deathslinger, but it's not about win or lose. It's about how fun it is to play against him, and simple fact of the matter is that it isn't fun.

Causing a slinger to miss shots by unpredictable movements is counterplay. It's like saying a huntress that holds a fully charged hatchet has no counterplay.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1570780#Comment_1570780

That Slinger counterplay isn't counterplay. That's exactly what he wants you to do. 110 killers aren't as slow as everyone assumes, and he's always moving at 110 speed because quickscoping. Sure, drop that pallet - I'll just zone you, break it and shoot you because Slinger isn't a 110 m1 killer and you literally cannot react to him unless he's playing like a moron and going for long shots. Literally the most basic play there is with him.

And "unpredictable" moves are still not counterplay, it's just the only way of making his shot harder that you have. Like it or not, even if you aren't wasting time zoning yourself, it's entirely on him to miss, not you to dodge it.

Same goes for that PH "counterplay" - that's just called faking, it's a normal part of gameplay, and the reason PH is so strong is because only an absolute moron would use his ability before you vault. His entire strength relies on just picking his sword up and hitting you. You literally cannot avoid that. Fake the vault or take it, he's hitting you regardless.

I've played against enough red rank slingers & pHs and this works for me. Even when a slinger is in quickscoping range irregular movements work. It's just like saying demo has no counterplay when using shred or huntress when she's holding a hatchet. With pH there's a delay when he picks up his knife before he can swing. So you can still fake it

  • @MadLordJack said:

Slinger main here - He has no counterplay. Nor does PH. They really are both like Old Legion or Current Nurse - if you don't stealth, you're screwed. The only difference between Deathslinger and the others is that he has to break the pallet before he shoots you - and since he's not an m1 killer, that 1 pallet is all you get.

Edit: I should clarify, I'm not being sarcastic or anything. I started maining him because console players know how to destroy m1 killers, and he really is ridiculous in a chase.

Slinger counter: make sure he doesn't have a good shot by using objects to block his shot. In other words lose Los. In a loop predrop the pallet just like against clown. Since he's only a 110 killer you can make distance. You can also use unpredictable moves so he can't land a shot.

pH counter: When looping him act like you are about to vault the window/ pallet then don't. Use unpredictable movements against him. When he misses his m2 make distance. His actual hit box for his m2 is just around the center

  • I think a good buff would be if clown hooks a survivor or if he downs a survivor he gets increased reload speed for a certain amount of time.

This encounters the same problem with the “what if survivors don’t cleanse?”

At least with current Iridescent Seal she has a guaranteed 200 seconds of Corrupt Purge (excluding the free fountain somewhere on the map)

Iri seal lowers the corrupt purge from 60 seconds to 20 or 30 seconds

  • @Rivyn said:

Plague: Rework Iri Seal so that it allows her to to gain Corrupt at range, instead of walking to the fountain.

Irl seal gives you corrupt without going to a fountain. The description says turns vial into corrupt when a gen is completed

  • Once survivors realize you have BBQ they might hide in a locker or behind a gen to prevent you from seeing their aura then go back to work on a gen. With thrilling if they stop working on a gen they have to wait 16secs. So it gives good information and helps slow down the game a little.

  • He needs a lot of evil within to get either of those two add-ons. If a Myers is taking forever to get out of tier 2 you can assume he has either one. Unless survivors are just feeding him evil within the game should be almost over by time he gets tier 3

Believe me, they will. It just won't happen soon because of how slowly they release updates.

I don't know if they will because it encourages survivors not to group up together. Once survivors know you have it they should avoid being near each other when another survivor is in a chase.

  • I believe killers have priority in closing the hatch but survivors have priority in opening it with a key

And I would love it if SC didn't counter every stealth killer in the game, but it is what it is man.

Not just every stealth it counters the spirit mind game of standing still

  • @Elena said:

I just realized that Yui's perk lucky break and Iron Will are a good counter to spirit, but as you said Stridor just affects Iron Will. At least with lucky break you're able to hide your blood temporarily.

Unless they run father's glasses they won't see blood

Yeah i was using pwyf nemesis enduring and corrupt (pwyf is amazing so im not moving at their movement speed) and enduring nemesis is a obvious. And then corrupt so 5 gens arent done quickly.

I got it with pwyf, iron maiden, surveillance , and insidious.

3 gen them then when it's down to 2 survivors look for the hatch. Tombstone one of them, sit on hatch with insidious then they come to you

I didnt even pressure the gens so they had free reign up till that point to not 3 gen themselves. This is also red rank survivors and i was tombstone myers. I went around stalking for the first like 3 minutes then instakilled 2 of them and noticed they 3 gened themselves checked the 3 remaining gens no progress so i went to look around coming back like maybe every minute? So if they both rushed a gen (which they told me they were a 2 man swf) they could have gotten it done. I messaged one that it is bannable and they came up and let me kill them. Of course the other knew were hatch was and i knew hed just let his friend die so i tombstone morid the one and headed to the hatch and of course he jumped in. A hour and 10 minutes and didnt even get anything out of it.

Were you trying for the achievement with tombstone? If so you need iron maiden. Survivors will hide in lockers to prevent you from getting the achievement

  • Whispers + insidious. Wait by a gen you know survivors were working on and when they come back you get a free hit. I've had survivors tell me they freaked out from this.

    Addons :

Blind warrior + Either coxcombed clapper/bone clapper or addon of your choice

    Perks :

Nurses calling/Hex: third seal, if you wish to have an easier time/no blind warrior addons.

Sloppy butcher/stbfl/pop goes the weasel if you feel you need gen regression.

    Dark devotion

    Trail of torment

Offering : Indoor maps preferably hawkins lab or the game, though midwitch or possibly lery's can work too if you wish

    Premise of the build :

Sneak attack all survivors a bare minimum of one time from stealth. this activates blind warrior, which afik doesn't have a period of which afterwards it deactivates. then you go around hunting. hitting an obsession gives you free stealth to go map wide and hunt down survivors healing, via no terror radius or coming out of stealth cooldown. trails of torment can be activated at will (without the gen aura being shown) to allow you to effectively go into stealth for 16s, whilst remaining active in the match. they have nothing signifying your in stealth or out of stealth so less warnings. Blindness addon also makes it easier to have slugs on the ground, as getting a stealth hit on all survivors is effectively a permanent hex third seal on all survivors.

Aim is to get all survivors blinded. makes for easy slugs/getting trail of torment to be even more useful. once all are blind, trail of torment essentially becomes your invisibility, with a no hit cooldown (ie the coming out of stealth or reappearance factor of wraith.) you have your cloaked form for the start, and then stealth on demand from the obsession/gens. and when you absolutely need it to fall back on, your actual cloaking ability.

The blindness add-on only lasts for 60 seconds. You might want to read the add-on again

  • Legion is definitely underrated by the community. Just because you can't down with ff doesn't make it a bad power. You just have to know when it's a good time to use ff.

  • @SweetTerror said:

I can't knock Legion since I haven't tried him, but I was never eager to purchase him because his ability doesn't actually knock down survivors. And deactivating it forces you into a long cool down like Bubba has when he hits an object with his chainsaw. Again I haven't played him but based on the streams that I've watched, he seems like he would be very difficult to play with against much more experienced survivors.

Frenzy can get you hits that would not be possible to get with other m1 killers. For example a full health survivor drops a pallet early and thinks they're safe. That's when you vault over the pallet with ff and get a hit.

  • @Canas said:

The Legion mission which requires you to hit 5 targets during Feral Frenzy is virtually impossible. I seriously request a rework/fix on this mission.

For some reason my comment was posted twice

You need the iri button and the green add-on for frenzy time. The button makes your tr the whole map so you can run right up to them.
