I feel like a lot of survivors care about their cosmetics and prestige's. But I just buy blight against then get wraith eventually with iri shards. I'll take the L and run 2 perks for ever, if mmr is accurate and people play the game to win on both sides.

I'd be interested to hears other's opinions on this. When i play killer, unless I'm running a mori token, trying for adept or going for some other specific challenge. I'll usually let the final survivor go, either in respect for a good game or in pity because they were bad in i steamrolled them. Just feels like a nice thing to do and add a bit of positivity back into the game.
I do it in most of my killer matches where i perform well. I'll of course make exceptions for players who crouch and torch spam lol. Bad manners will earn you the hook.
It's not something i see other killers doing often though. I've seen maybe 3 matches where the killer has let the final survivor go. And it's never been me lol.
Depends. If I think a survivor played really well which is extremely rare. But I do let the last go most of the time if i think it's faster to go next. Games over I don't care if they live and I don't like the little door to door game you have to play if they are hiding.

Old one was way too safe. New one is really strong vs Nurse and Blight but average vs everyone else and needs really good timing. Good survivors will still use it effectively. Overall still like new one better also Legion and Slinger dont care about DH at all power wise which is nice.
I would just like to say blight was the only character with counter play against DH before the patch. Now he can still just bump into something nearby to bait it out if needed, though sometimes there is nothing and you just have to take the L.

You're saying Hyperfocus with Stake Out will do gens 15 - 20 seconds faster in an average game or is that the most optimal time getting lucky with skill checks and hitting every single great skill check?
Yes I watch scott jund do 2 45 second gens per game. You could literally be absolutely terrible at dbd and it wouldn't matter because you have good timing on the great skill checks. It is broken and people who think it isn't are on some copium

No you don't. Epic survivors are tourney players who don't Q pub lobby's.
This is just not correct. Tourney player's play pubs a good amount as well. Not only do I see comp players on the survivor team once in a while on the survivor team. They frequent lilith omens games on his stream. Plus a lot of tournament survivors are over rated. Mind you I have not seem them a lot, but the game is completely different from normal dbd. It usually involves pre throwing and playing as safe as possible, with mild looping skills.

Mained hag for the first few months of killer. Once you know how to play her it's impossible to lose until coordinated swfs

Bruh I watch my survivor friend play every day and killers literally only go for 2 survivors max and proxy camp. I don't get it. It's so boring to play like that, no skill even if you win from it in the end. Most survivors and killers in this game are so lame.

But yes, Wesker's collision is very bugged.
My biggest thing is why do people hate a character that has to get in melee range to one shot vs a hero that can one shot you from across the map. Widow was more more unfun to face imo.

Narrator: but the reality is that these were no SWF, they got the game free in the EPIC store and just tried the game.
Yep I'm sure people sending me to eyre and garden with full meta builds and they also all wiggle vs My blight are new players. They Definitely didn't all learn how to play vs blight together or anything...
Though you are right, there were like 2 people on other platforms in those 5 games.
-
I mained hag when I started playing too. If you play hag right it's really hard to lose very much before you get to good swfs who know how to deal with her. So naturally you are probably high mmr at this point. If they start dedicating someone to mess with your web at the beginning of the game you know it's gonna be tough.

Am I the only one who enjoys facing good SWF players?
I would rather go against a good swf team every game than anything else. Other than last night the survivors broke their offering record for me and I got 5 survivor sided offerings in a row. Slowly transitioned from running nothing, to running crow ring on the last one. But yeah a challenge is more fun, I'm just going to match what they are bringing if I'm consistently going against swfs running everything at their disposal.

That's exactly the issue, that last part. I have BT on my current build and people I unhook just run straight back at the killer, even when they're a good 30m away from the hook. 20s is a long window to bodyblock, and people don't expect it because it's been a month since anyone's run BT.
BT bodyblocking should probably be looked at right now. Nothing concerning protection hits will ever work, so I'd just look at removing collision.
(I'm also bemused that BT gets to be this powerful when Guardian's been completely forgotten, but eh, separate issue.)
People who body block are so dumb. I just stand there after I realize what they are doing and think "You really want me to tunnel you right now?"

No, I would like to play the game. Every other game has harsher dc penalty's than this game. They are already too forgiving. In league you get suspended for 2 weeks if you leave 3 games in a week. This game it's just like "oh it's been a day? Your good to dc again."

His power is basically nurse - practically no recharge and covers the same distance just as fast. It can't go through walls, but with the buff it still hurts you over pallets and vaults, and he doesn't even have to have the skill to land it on you, you just need to be in its path.
In addition to this insane power, he's a full 4.6ms killer. On indoor maps it's nearly impossible to locate him due to his insane terror radius so he gets quasi-stealth on those maps, nullifying his disadvantage over nurse's ability to go through walls on those maps. And he gets a fun little minigame with infection too, adding a little bit of inbuilt slowdown on top.
You won't see sweats playing Blight anymore, that's for sure, Wesker vastly outclasses him.
See you guys in a week when hopefully this killer is being played less because facing him is utterly unbearable. Plus I have noone left to play with because my whole friends list already just dropped the game from this update.
Haha if you think Wesker is anywhere near blight I don't even know what to say. Blight can essentially do everything wesker does but better. You are forced to m1 at many more tiles than blight is. Blight can 85% of the time find a way to use his power in a tile. His recharge time is worse than nurse. I have 0 idea how you came to that conclusion.

Killers.. from a fellow killer main.. please please please stop slugging and bleeding out the last 2 survivors for the 4k.. it’s really not that serious. 2 games in a row I had to sit through the bleed out timer because the killer couldn’t fathom not getting the 4k.
Just hook the third, and if the 4th gets hatch, they get hatch. It’s still a win. :)
Have fun and see you in the fog.
I have no slugged for the 4k for like half a year. My big problem that is common right now, is survivors are salty they lost and even though i'm afk they just hide instead of getting hatch or hide instead of getting doors. So boring, I am giving it to you so that I can go next the game is over.

It doesn't have to affect the lunge; Like I've described, it is enough to affect under what kind of an angle he turns while lethal rushing. That, by itself, is one of the best add-ons thanks to that. I do know of no other counterplay besides windows, besides making wide turns to force him miss the attack due to getting into too high angle from where he's running, if you ask me.
Although Adrenaline Vial has some downsides, they're not dramtaic enough to force players choose different add-ons.
Like I've described, he's fine on its own; The add-ons do make him problematic, as literally everybody runs the same ones for years already. It's getting quite annoying.
"it is enough to affect under what kind of an angle he turns while lethal rushing"
I'm not quite sure what you mean. There are 3 upsides to adrenaline vile. +2 rushes, A higher look angle that in turn allows him to do a 180 and the double recovery rate of his tokens. I can only assume you are talking about the higher look angle, but that really does nothing other than wacky flicks that have easy counterplay if you expect them. Adrenaline vial is only broken paired with c33.

Bestie Blight is beyond broken, even more than Nurse because at least she takes skill and map knowledge, not some hugtech you can learn under 5min.
So of course you don’t have to tunnel, now play Trapper or Trickster for a day, don’t tunnel and see what happens.
I mained several killers of varying tiers before maining blight :). And no blight takes the most map knowledge in the game by a large margin. Sure the hug techs easy but there is no killer you need to know more about maps and instantly recognize your current surrounding than him. Highest skill ceiling in the game by far though nurse does have the highest skill ceiling just for the fact you need to use your power.

@Neprašheart said:
He's fine, but I do hate facing players, who're relying on add-ons to make their curves reach such high angles that'd otherwise be impossible. His lunge while curving seems kinda questionable to me aswell.. I mean, I've received the most questionable hits from him while he was attempting to land a hit while performing the lethal rushes; No other killer in the game have had more questionable hitboxes from my experiences.. Not even the so popular Anna's hatchets.
I'd love to play against players, who're actually good at playing him without add-ons; Thing is, every single match against Blight, there's either an add-on to allow him to curve his lethal rushes under higher angles, to have more tokens, or to increase the recharge rates of tokens. I'd put him into the same unfun category as Rin with Dried Cherry Blossom, if Adrenaline Vial, Blighted Crow, Blighted Rat, Alchemist's Ring, or Umbra Salts add-ons are present. It just feels like the player's getting those hits thanks to the used add-ons instead of being actually being a good player.. Kinda like when M1 killers do run Bamboozle, you know..
Umbra salts does not affect blights lunge at all. Also it seems like you don't like adrenaline vial and that's understandable from a view of how fast he can cut through resources with it. But there is huge downside to adrenaline vial that you wouldn't know unless you played with it a bit. His lunges no longer retain their directional velocity. Which basically means yeah he can do a 180 but that also means that any form of a spin or dodge counters everything about adrenaline vial except shoulder flicks(survivor and killer hitbox are touching). Not only that any thing with dodgy collision or any efforts to try and correct your rush just doesn't work with this add-on, the reason for that is it takes longer for blight to even start turning on top of the slower turn rates. This add-on is extremely over rated, though it's still good for chewing through pallets against a pre thrower. And just to reiterate umbra salts are one of the worst add-ons he has besides the few that literally downgrade his basekit.
Forgot to say that c-33 even by itself is the best add-on in the game and is very very unskillful pair that with adrenaline vial and survivors get 5ft after a pallet before getting hit. Very disgusting for sure.

Swamp is one of my favorite realms, it has some of the most variety in terms of elevation. I will say both main buildings are a bit on the strong side, but that just means if survivors pop the gen then when playing killer you never have to go there, cutting the map size considerably.
It doesn't make artist worthless, as you just need to plan around the elevations, and she is more than powerful enough to make up for that anyways. It makes skilled Blights actually display their map knowledge rather than being able to brainlessly RMB over and over to get free hits. There is a good balance of high grass, and low grass for hiding survivors or traps as trapper/hag. I will say it is bad for Nemesis zombies, but that is an exacerbated flaw that can happen on any map, cranked to 11 in the swamp. Another potential flaw is hatch/totem placement, as I think this is the furthest to the map edge they can spawn. However I enjoy the variety as most totem/hatch placements are a bit boring on other maps. It also is the home to the PogLog, which is an above average strength tile at the cost of almost exclusively being found in corners. That makes it effectively a deadzone for the survivor, making it a risky proposition to use them. It has a good combination of open areas and LOS blockers for ranged killers and survivors, while also having many lower height tiles in the middle.
Whichever side I play, I rarely dislike seeing a swamp offering. I hate seeing MacMillan and Autohaven offerings more than anything, as its users are typically sweatlords who prefer "winning" at all costs over an enjoyable match for both sides. I even prefer RPD to those realms as long as I'm not Billy or Huntress.
Edit: Fixed spelling and clarity
Macmillan and autohaven are the most balanced realms in the game, so its always nice getting sent there. And the sheer lack of collision for blight does technically make him harder to play but it's more like he can't play half the map. And blight doesn't get free hits for hitting RMB, he does have to play around the game unlike nurse lol. And survivors tend to hide more which is boring.

Survivors would have a hard time seeing you too, so it should make things more interesting for the killers as well. Especially the ones with smaller models, or the ones that can crouch.
I mean, I don't play this game for the horror/ hide and seek. I want to test my skill vs a survivor at a tile.

FR, DH was basically the Brigitte of dbd: a hard counter to nearly all killer powers and more often then not an uncounterable "get out of jail" card. This perk alone made playing killer such a miserable experience that I even doubted myself why I was sticking with it.
Like Brigitte, DH held the game in a terrible vicegrip/stranglehold and alone lead to unprecidented bleeding of killer players, because playing that role was just not fun anymore. Playing survivor had become so easy and many players got carried hard by the ever same meta combination, that a 4E was more or less the devault state, unless the MMR system paired a killer with way more inexperienced players.
So OP might be right with some of their perceptions, but its very one sided. The 6.1 patch breathed fresh air into the game, and while it made things apparently a bit too tought for survivors, I applaud BHVR for the brave decision.
Exactly how I feel. Though I will say its really only tough for solo survivors in the low to mid mmr bracket, and even though I say it like that I do realize that is a large part of the player base. They simply need more information to play the game efficiently. But just as nurse and blight can run some extremely nasty builds/add-ons so can swfs. From my point of view nurse and blight are the killer equivalent of high level swfs if they are good and running good stuff. Though I don't think nurse should exist as is in the current state of the game.
I'm not biased I promise - Blight player

Old Corrupt had counterplay, it was called wait out the killers Corrupt so you wont get 3 gen'ed. It was a staple perk for for killer because we had time to set up (Hag, Trapper and for slow killers like Pig) or to look for survivors now it disables once someone is hooked? Smh crazy!
Did they do this because of Lethal Pursuer, complaining survivors (as usual) or both?
As a blight main this was the best change they could have made to corrupt. It was way too good on characters that get early pressure as stated above whereas a lot of killers need it to even play the game and they still get full value.

I get the zombies are terrible as I used to be a nemesis main. But they def need to do an add-on pass with him (and quite a few other killers). I rotate through at least 10 sets of add-ons as blight. All killers should aspire do have the diversity blight does with his add-ons.

Not all survivors. 3/4 of high MMR players (which are a small percentage), less than 50% of mid-MMR, and less than 20% of low MMR. This is from the devs stats. I agree it was broken, and not a perk I ever used, but I think it's important to be accurate about how many people used it. Because after the rework, any survivor complaint was drowned out by "you were all just being carried by DH and need to get good", even if the complaint wasn't about DH.
You are right, and that is true a lot of complains are hit with "you just want dh back". Though every so often that phrase is warranted. Solo queue is in dire need of information buffs, but when op started talking about IW and DH his post became null especially with his response to what I said. I don't think you buff solo queue by bringing back something op, you give them access to a lot of info a casual swf has.

If you played overwatch for as long as you did, then you would know that having the same overtuned meta for a half a DECADE is extremely unhealthy for a game. OW literally died from a lack of changes. League, OW and most big multiplayer games have at the very least an ever changing meta. The problem with dbd was that survivors had the same meta for way too long, I quit the game from April until this most recent patch. The reason was because I was essentially going against terrible players getting carried by their perks every single game(bots with perks). I agree with you that solo queue is in need of some base kit information and some mmr adjustments so players can be happy but complaining about DH and IW being nerfed is just dumb. DH was boring to play against and by far the most broken perk this game has ever seen, and after validation it didn't even require good timing just a skilless perk carrying 75% of the survivor player base. DH quite literally countered the entire killer roster besides blight when he has something to bump off of to bait it out, the only time anyone else could bait it out was if there was a very large amount of distance until safety. The changes they made to perks were healthy for the game. Now they just need to buff solo queue and massively change nurse.
Here's a thought what if they just nerfed tracer instead of adding brig like they did? That's kinda what dbd did here.

While I agree It won't be too useful vs the the top tier killers. There is a timing to guaranteed hits on blight and that speed boost will change the timing drastically while they are wiggling and spinning. It's why I just bump along with someone holding w when they are using lithe/SB.
-
That was kinda the issue with the last survivor meta though. All 16 perks always got value.

With that full disclosure out of the way, how good (out of 10) do YOU think you are in both roles?
Solo - 7
Killer - 7
Both of those could be a 7.5 on a good day, but I've always viewed myself as a 'slightly above decent' DBD player.
Most players in this game are not good. The average player is equivalent to a silver league player(majority of the player base but far from the top).
With that in mind my gameplay is rated like this
Killer - 7.5
survivor - 3.5( Biggest issue is that I have no concept for distance as survivor)
Blight - 8.5(I am a really good blight, but I simply do not play enough to be compared to the top 1%'
Though I guess the killer score should be essentially be my rating for macro on blight as I have not played another killer other than 1 plague game 2 months ago in the last 5 months.

Eh...the issue is that the game is heading towards a position where it's balanced around SWFs - and there's no realistic way for solo survivors to coordinate or share information like an SWF can do.
Hell, even perk selection - far too often you get 3 people running Kindred.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3145783#Comment_3145783
I think they'd help slightly.
The issue is that just because people have the information doesn't mean they will actually cooperate.
You can't force coordination.
The game is not balanced around swfs, nurse and blight are there to be the killer version of a swfs in terms of power level. Solo queue needs base information to help them out but in reality most of the problems with solo queue stem from 1 to 3 bad players getting matched against a good killer due to autofill. Just like killers would get sucked into a game with a high level swf even though they were playing clown and have 30 hours in the game before 6.1.0. If matchmaking was good I would be going against good swfs all the time regardless of my queue time and that clown would go against similar level survivors.

I rarely ever got tunneled beforehand as it was never an effective strategy at higher MMR but I feel like ever since the mid chapter balance changes it's made things much worse. With how much more time it now takes survivors to complete Generators + DS Nerf + the base kit buffs killers got there's no longer an effective way to counter it this playstyle especially in Solo Queue. It's better for killers to eat OTR & DS and just keep tunneling because how slow the game is now. Literally almost every game either me or another survivor gets tunneled. Somethings needs to be done about this.
I agree tunneling and camping is a sad part of the game. As a blight player I go out of my not to, because I know I could tunnel someone out of the game in A gen. But It's something the devs NEED to make objectively bad for killers to do. There will always be camping bubbas because they find fun in that for some reason but everyone else needs incentive. I find chase fun and skillful, there is no gameplay to tunneling outside of the term strategy.

I can understand if it’s the beginning and someone’s just mad they got caught to quickly get them to not completely ruin the game unnecessarily. Sometimes, however, it’s ok to let people just go in a losing game.
It's like throwing up a surrender vote and league, and then it gets voted no. People may want out of the match but they still try regardless. Unfortunately most players in this game have less mental and competitive drive the most league players.

Hard doubt, for instance basic macro killer mechanics are far harder to master. That is when to chase, when to kick (pallets or gens), when to drop a chase, etc.. Those all require far more processing power than basic pinball geometry. I will concede the point on swamp maps. They have the most inconsistent hitboxes and half the swamp is covered in butter. So learning which bushes and twigs on swamp you can bounce off of actually is skill (but almost knowledge moreso).
Also like I said in other posts, it takes far more mastery of the killer to pull off last second 3rd charge Bubba hits, Huntress snipes (especially through gaps), and nearly half the killer roster of powers. To be fair, maybe Blight bump logic comes naturally to me so I fail to see any skill involved in comparison to other mechanics, be they killer unique or universal to the game.
Uh yeah macro is the accumulation of all killer game sense. And taking the best possible path to a hit is most definitely harder than 50/50 a huntress hatchet lol. I think otz's bump logic is terrible if you have ever seen him play, I doubt yours is better though.

I would play oni more if the optimal strategy wasn't to pre throw the entire map before taking a hit.

I never to rarely like bug abuse, or things not working as intended in versus/competitive games. I stopped playing Super Smash Brothers Melee when my friends saw pros use Wavedashing and started copying them.
It also adds another tool in the belt of the 2nd best killer in the game, it isn't like some trapper or clown bug to make them roughly as deadly as mid-tier killers. Also everyone claiming it is some arcane magick that only the most skilled of wizards can pull off 90 % of the time is just another sweaty tryhard that abuses every exploit for a "win". Blight is one of the easier killers to play effective consistently, as you don't have to balance map pressure or your situational awareness to nearly the degree that other killers need to. Even then, if you use the same brain power the other killers need then nearly every match is pretty much an easy 4k.
In short easiest best killer doesn't need or deserve more access to game winning tools.
I also always hear people parrot the same line "bump logic scarier", but it only comes from those same bug abusers. I hear "no don't nerf my overpowered killer, I am not even using my full power by glitching!" If it works properly then Blight can be viewed and balanced appropriately, without worrying about unintended mechanics.
Bump logic is the hardest thing in this game. Nothing can compare to the difficulty of gauging the rng surrounding and playing to get a hit off of it in the moment. He may not have the highest skill floor but he most definitely is the hardest killer to master in this game.

All of his techs are easy compared to bump logic, and bump logic is everchanging due to the rng nature of the game. Forcing tiles to work regardless of how unfavorable it is for blight feels amazing. Plus blight takes away the most boring and unskillful part of killer, W.

S - Blight
F - Every other killer in the game after playing blight

what i mean is they move left or right and i miss completely, even if i wait until they are right on top of me
It is about timing, what suzu said is right. He has an extremely large hitbox for the first 1/10 of a second during the lunge phase of his lethal rush. So as long as your model is touching them you get a guaranteed hit with the right timing. After that initial phase though he has an extremely thin hitbox that is easily jukable.

Biggest problem with the game is matchmaking. So many people think the game is killer sided or swf sided but It's really not. Bad teamates will lose more solo queue games than full slowdown wraiths and all the other non a tier or higher killers.
