I don't think we have ever been in a position before where a killer has been this strong. I think the kill rate is way higher than people think it is. People keep saying she is A tier but I have seen many survivors say Blight feels like a break compared to her right now.

Are you under the impression xeno is more oppressive then alch ring or iri tag blight? I think the power is more forgiving than adrenaline vial and it's disgusting but not that level of strong.

  • Myers is over rated, he gets bodied by all of them.

  • @jesterkind said:

Not that I'm saying the perk is 100% fine, but a perk being that fun actually would get that high of a pickrate, so that's not a particularly compelling argument.

It's also not particularly unfair or unbalanced... on its own. It still needs nerfing, but it's more to the tune of removing Endurance from it and addressing Haste stacking.

As much as I respect your opinions, that 3% makes me play the same way old dh users did, greedy with a very valid sense of safety.

It makes a difference vs every single killer in the game.

  • I mean xenos power isn't really fun to use. The coolest part about it is the tunnels, the tail whip is so whatever.

It's kinda like neme, wow I used it for 10 games(max) and I understand everything, but it's also hard anti loop with little punishment.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah, yeah, the new Killer is weak and Killer in general is miserable. Same as usual.

It's so weird, you have reasonable takes once in a while and then say the most anti-killer things like this.

Is this person baiting or misguided in this post? Yes.

Would you have a similar response to a survivor doing the same thing? No.

You realize they'd need to listen to the voice chats that are reported and that's considered moderation, right? That takes time and resources.

Nope, they wouldn't. You think everytime someone is reported in vc in siege and OW a person actually listens to it? Not at all unless a manual ticket happens to be submitted.

I'm going to direct you to my reply to coffeecrashing but are you seriously trying to say vc is relevant to killer? It's both the benefit and detriment of the killer role that it's only one person.

You're stating, but also missing, the point.

Adding a feature to a game like DbD inevitably impacts one side over the other. You could have Overwatch with everyone on both teams communicating, or no one communicating, and as long as it remains, generally, the same on both sides you maintain balance.

Yeah, no. There are many games that are hard stomps because one team doesn't talk and the other has 4 people calling out.

I'll use your own words here: SIr, I play overwatch at gm1 and 3/5 games people have themselves set to not join the voice chat.

If on, average, the same amount of people on both sides use a feature it is, on average, balanced. Sure, you will have games outside the average, where one team heavily uses chat and the other doesn't that stand out, but balance worries about the general game.

You're the one saying Overwatch games generally don't have people joining voice, that's your claim, not mine. I'm just pointing out that is a synch game that balances out because it will usually, though not always, be roughly the same on both sides.

My point is: VC has low impact up to even the top level unless all 5 players are making call outs and many people don't join even at that level, In dbd there will be far less impact because everyone is terrible and people don't really care. People will swf if they want to get value out of VC, not queue up for solo and make hard shot-calls.

If people want the game to be balanced around voice comms, they should just say so. We are allowed to admit voice comms are in the game, and that some people use them to gain extra game advantages.

Wanting to bridge the gap between solo q and SWF is a separate topic, and would include things like matching all the frequent ragequitters with each other, so they aren’t ruining games for the solo q players that actually want to play each game. It feels like the survivor bots made the ragequitting situation worse. It feels like more games have early ragequitters, but since they get replaced by a bot, the remaining survivors are more likely to continue the game, even though they are still likely to lose because of the ragequit. The result is still a whole bunch of games that feel like a waste of time, but now we’re spending more time on these games instead of the survivors giving up so we all can move onto the next game.

Most of my complaints about solo q are the frequent ragequitters and “lone wolf” survivors, that don’t want to be team players, and will actively do things that mess up the team’s survival rate.

"Most of my complaints about solo q are the frequent ragequitters and “lone wolf” survivors, that don’t want to be team players, and will actively do things that mess up the team’s survival rate."

I can't deny something that blatantly disrupts the stats of this game.

At the very least I think basic "dot" pings like in OW should be implemented into the game. Like hit middle mouse button and a dot with your "survivor number" is there.

SIr, I play overwatch at gm1 and 3/5 games people have themselves set to not join the voice chat.

But that's the difference between Overwatch and DbD.

In Overwatch, both sides are likely to be using the voice chat to equal levels. If, on average, only 1 or 2 people on your team use voice, then likely only 1 or 2 use it on the other team as well. To a synchronous game you can really add whatever type of mechanic you want without impacting the balance because both sides have access to it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526166#Comment_3526166

Then when people say “solo queue is terrible do something”-

A couple of others have mentioned this, but you are attributing a lot to communication. A SWF knows each other. They can design their builds together and decide whether they want to bring their best gear or not. They know who their best looper is and, generally, will be more willing to sacrifice themselves for each other because they care about the team victory.

In many ways, its not the communication that makes a SWF strong, especially because a group of randoms wouldn't have the level of call out and codes that a top SWF does. That doesn't mean a SWF isn't powerful, or that communication doesn't help, just that its not the main thing.

The thing that makes soloq horrible is that one fourth of your team might just not play. I'm not even adding the possibility of being bad, that's subjective, but actively not playing. AFK, hook suicide, doing archives, etc.

something which crops up daily on this forum, Reddit, Twitter etc- what are they hoping the devs can actually do?

Make tunneling the first hooked target harder

    Make camping harder (currently planned)

    Remove early game hook suicides

    Penalize lobby dodging

based on the responses in this thread the only reason to not have it is because of the community. And that’s just kind of sad.

I've never played with voice comms, but I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as fun. I don't even like having SWFs on my team because I feel it throws off the nature of the game.

It’s also incredibly naive to just outright say that “this game doesn’t have voice-chat”. Because whilst it does not have official built in voice chat, an awful lot of people are using communication and gaining a massive advantage from it.

Define an awful lot. I suspect the majority of games have no survivors on voice comms.

Hiding who is in a party, not having comms whilst letting people have comms, not showing MMR-

I think parties should be disclosed post game, but Peanits has given pretty solid answers in the past why that and MMR are hidden.

I'm going to direct you to my reply to coffeecrashing but are you seriously trying to say vc is relevant to killer? It's both the benefit and detriment of the killer role that it's only one person. Again, when the devs and people are talking about swf it's pretty much always implied they are talking. The first benefit of a swf is the guarantee of a player who is good or trying even, the second is people talking. Even if you add a VC most people in this game(they are terrible) won't use it in the first place and even then won't use it well. The players who would use it well already are in discord, there is no issue adding this feature.

"In Overwatch, both sides are likely to be using the voice chat to equal levels. If, on average, only 1 or 2 people on your team use voice, then likely only 1 or 2 use it on the other team as well. That's what we've been doing ever since the survivor HUD was released. There's zero reason to believe that BHVR has any intention of actually compensating killers for all the quality of life buffs the survivors have been given. It's literally been years, and we've heard absolute zero on compensation buffs, besides the FoV idea that is happening for accessibility reasons.

We even have the healing nerf to prove that BHVR's goal isn't to actually balance survivors as a whole. BHVR nerfed self healing, but kept altruistic healing exactly the same, which WIDENS the gap between solo q and SWF. It's like BHVR's goal isn't actually to close the gap, and instead they're just using that as an excuse to buff survivors whenever they want.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526098#Comment_3526098

PvP games that have basekit voice chat, are balanced around voice chat, which means that if some people don't participate in voice chat, the whole team might be at a massive disadvantage.

Even if we use TCM as an example, have you seen the difference between killers that don't use voice chat, and killers that coordinate Bubba removing specific infinites, killers that coordinate being in specific places to flank survivors that are trying to loop, killers that coordinate being at the well drop-down place in the basement so they can be there when a survivor drops down a well, etc etc etc? And that is what the game is balanced around... players that are using voice chat to coordinate strategies that are impossible to do without voice chat.

This gives off the same energy as the people who say discord is cheating in dbd. When people say four man swf, guess what they are referring to?

As I said in my post OW is technically balanced around VC, but in my gm1 games it's rare for people to participate. An even harsher example is top 10 players both saying nothing and receiving nothing via voice chat. People who want to hard use VC will still just swf in the pre game and people who don't care that much won't.

  • @bm33 said:

BHVR would still need to moderate the voice chat like they do with the end game chat - that is alot of resources.

Not really, no. No one else does that. All they have to do is add a mute button and an option to report for vc abuse.

The words I can describe my killer experience are, meaningless, annoying, frustrating, low...

It's lonely, and hard to progress, with no teacher guide and 0 positive feedback. I feel like a naturally lower survive player. Why do Survives get all those OP perks?

Even when I uninstall the game, the experience still annoys me, I have to get it out of my mind, I wish I never touched this game

It's actually crazy how many people on the forum just don't know how to go to youtube.

    @Zokenay said:

Sad thing is, ultimately to get better has killer you have to become increasingly more ruthless and apathetic towards survivors, they'll have no mercy most of the time, so neither should you.

Playing nice will only end with you getting stepped on.

Maybe. But I went from unknowing to completely apathetic to nicer than the vast majority, I feel that is common once people reach a certain point on killer.

  • What exhaustion add-ons?

This is sarcasm because people don't run them.

Fearmonger is the only real exhaustion on the killer side.

  • @bm33 said:

Because then BHVR would be responsible for moderating voice chat. It's not worth the time or resources, especially knowing how toxic the DBD community can get. People constantly complain about messages they get in end game chat, it would be even worse with VC through out the entire match.

Now hear me out... mute button.

Very innovative! Or as I said previously a option in settings to automatically not join vc.

This entire thread only proves dbd players don't play other pvp games.

Which is why I'd more likely quit the game outright than I would accept voice chat

SIr, I play overwatch at gm1 and 3/5 games people have themselves set to not join the voice chat.

You are blowing this out of proportion.

Although I doubt 4/5 games would have more than 1 person join vc in dbd.

Your putting yourself at a disadvantage technically but lose nothing from the current state.

-Sincerely someone who would not join voice chat in this awful player base.

Oh yeah , i remember now.

Creator of Blight called hug tech is not intended and called it bug. BHVR said this bug will be fixed. But Sava18 know better then all of these people. Silly BHVR.

Blight has one of the best map mobility. Blight has one of the strongest anti-loop. Blight can break pallet with his power. He has best killer add-ons in game. With all of these stuff, he also has 4.6 speed. Poor Blight, such a weak killer. We should make hug tech his base-kit.

Hug tech is problem because it's a bug. Even if it was his kit, i would still ask to remove it. Because he is fast killer. Especially when you combine speed add-ons. He will hit you even before you react to his hug-tech. Leave the loop, break the LoS does not work against him because he is much faster then you. Pallets and vaults supposed to counter his power but Hug-Tech removes it.

But yeah, we silly survivors knows what? We just whine about killers, cry for nerfs. We even make bait posts bla bla bla. Blight is just fine, actually no. His brown add-ons are garbage. Buff them to C33 level.

I am sure your opinion will be changed. Now i know you will come with "But Blight has counters! Hug-tech can be countered by leaving the loop!" which is not true. His speed will be enough to catch you. Even he miss, what? Even you make distance what? Few seconds and he will remove all distance you made.

His exploits need to be removed. If you wanna make them base-kit, sure. Then make his cooldown like Spirit's. So you will have longer cooldown on your power when you miss it.

Fair? Sure, i am sure i changed your opinion or at least will make you think about it. Highly doubt but yeah.

You know I have been busy with college for the past week and this was your response?

Creator of blight called the hug tech non intended but agreed it was fine as a supplementary aspect of his kit until he could fully realize the collision he envisioned, guess what that's no longer possible.

It's actually crazy that I went back and fully read my post and you still didn't make a real argument. I am actually so baffled right now. I don't think you realize how anti-killer player I have been for the past year, I have mained survivor since 6.1.0. I argue about blight because people like you talk about him without any real knowledge.

Again, you didn't make a single new point here. Just regurgitated the same non-sense that holds no real value. I could ask why to every single sentence you made, because you didn't explicate on a single thing I asked just talked to the non-existent person you think I am.

I really can only assume you like baiting people based on this reply, I was hoping for even one thing I can go off of.

@Spare_Them_Mori_Me Sorry but there was no real conversation to be had here. I begged them and they still gave me no real conversation. Basically just called me a killer main and then said hug tech shuts down everything.

I don't argue when i see i can't change their minds. There is no point to do this. I am using forum to share my opinions and honestly i don't care if you like them or hate them. They are not click bait posts. They are my opinions.

You are free to not read my posts. I never forced you to write me or read my posts? So i don't know why you are complaining about me lol. You just can ignore me like how i am ignoring some people.

I don't like when people share their opinions and then don't explicate on them. You literally said you argued but you never do. I gave you a point and you gave up without any logical or knowledgeable points.

I know more about blight than maybe 3 people on this forum. I genuinely am extremely unbiased in regards to this killer.

I tell you why I think hug tech is fine, I give paragraphs why I think so.

Your response? The devs said it was a bug. LMAO. That's not an opinion, you don't even have your own thoughts on the matter and yet you make a post about it. It doesn't matter what I say, you'll fall back on "but the devs said" every time.

You haven't tried to change my mind, you just say some superficial things, repeat them a few times and give up. There is no conversation happening, I hope you see that.

Please, please make a genuine response to this. I want your full thoughts on my killer and any other topic you create that is always "hot". I want to hear something real. I don't like arguing for the sake of it but I am not a fan of people starting arguments and then providing nothing towards it. At that point you just look like you are instigating and that genuinely is the case ATM. Same energy as the previously banned "skill_issue" account.

It's unfortunate because I know I'll end up with nothing or a couple sentences.

Hello. Maybe it's an hot take but i think his power is on par with spirit and nurse (mobilily and lethality).

Anyway, as you said, they really need to change the problematics add ons and exploits, then "monotoring" the performance. Maybe he will be fair to face then.

His mobility is far above nurse or spirit easily. His lethality is strong but you have to realize people don't learn this killer enough to be truly efficient at countering him. There are objectively strong things you can do to counter a blight that no other killer could receive.

5-6 add-ons are genuinely in need of a nerf and his so called exploits only serve to mitigate rush usage during map traversal and give him the same mind game potential(maybe slightly greater) as a m1 killer at a filler pallet.

Blight and exploit in the same sentence is just an excuse for people in one way or another.

I argued so much before and i just give up.

Again you don't argue, I've made paragraphs and paragraphs responding to you in the past and your response is taking one sentence out of that for your own benefit. I can't tell if it's a language barrier or just how you are but you own comment is exactly how I feel about you.

Genuinely sad since you make all of the click bait posts XD.

  • Chase is terrible and terribly designed at that with spirit phasing. Passive slowdown went in the wrong direction and is also terribly designed. I put her on knight tier in terms of design.

I'd say I am said to see Sadako butchered in this way but I really couldn't care less. Hope she gets nerfed and forgotten about.

  • DH is easy to play around and the dh game itself is extremely boring. These days I have only had one killer wait it out in the past few weeks, while running mft as well.

Scott fabricated this skillful interaction around dh like it's not just some patience and timing.

Just get rid of the Endurance on MFT. It doesn't make sense for the perk and then reevaluate in a couple months.

C33, Alc Ring and both Speed addons need adjusting. Rat and Crow shouldn't stack, imo and C33 and Alc Ring need new effects.

Someone would have to do the math for me but I think they could try making the speed a flat 10%(assuming double speed) of the base 230% instead of exponentially stacking on itself.

"Self-unhook, Sandbagging, afking and whatever else."

New players will try to kobe. Some players might run a luck build.

New players have no idea what's going on. Bad players might sandbag on accident. I've certainly sandbagged people on accident whilst trying to take a hit for them. Heck, I've sandbagged my friends on purpose because it was silly.

Some people have this thing called real-life responsibilities. They shouldn't be banned for attending to them.

You clearly want to ban people for not playing with you. In your hatred, you've damned many more people in this idea.

"Other people have real life responsibilities"

Yes and as I have said if it comes up enough to actually be punished for it you shouldn't be playing sorry. Especially with how short of games dbd has.

Also I said consistent behavior, you mentioned things that don't happen often unless intentional.

Luck build would obviously not impact things if self unhook was removed outside of deli.

I don't have an emotion strong enough on this subject to actually call it hatred, just distain. That being said it's all about the survivor experience. When someone dcs or gives up in my killer lobbies I am far more frustrated for the other survivors they left behind not my own experience and when I play survivor they ruined the game for me entirely.

Again people giving up, leaving or trolling only leads to more doing the same out of tilt. Letting people run wild like you want, even more so than is currently allowed will only hurt the game more.

I don't think I reclarified this either, I said this penalty system wouldn't go into place until a certain hour threshold was hit. At a 100 hours you know not to kobe or the other things discussed. I'm doing nothing but a cycle hurting the player base directly.

  • @ThatRedPyramidThing said:

Have any of you "nerf Blight" players ever even played Blight?

Cause I have and he's not very easy to play. Controlling his movements are rather difficult actually.

I that is the biggest reason. The devs, like most of us are mediocre to average players. And for us average players Blight is super frustrating to use properly.

Like Nurse when you see a Blight that's good it's because they have put in the work to get good.

I'm convinced that people who want Blight nerfed don't actually play Blight.

I play blight and 5 of his add-ons can be nerfed justifiably. Alch ring, c33, adren(Far too forgiving in the wrong ways), both speeds could be either changed to additive values or reduced by a %. I really don't think iri tag needs a nerf when you realize people see that add-on one every 2 decades, it's definitely op in the right hands though.

  • @Nazzzak said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3516602#Comment_3516602

We already have penalties in place and they still don't stop people from DCing. Sandbaggers already can get reported for griefing but that doesnt stop them. BHVR aren't going to police people randomly going afk because there are legitimate reasons why someone may need to. From a business perspective, those people are all still customers and they want them to keep playing. Self-unhooking even, it's a mechanic that can come in clutch and missing skill checks isn't a crime, it still happens to me sometimes. They aren't going to punish that.

Reports really don't do anything. The point is consistent behavior prevention. There might be a legitimate reason someone needs to get up, but if it's consistent enough to receive harsh punishments you shouldn't be playing. You can talk about it like a business perspective but it becomes irrelevant when you look at league, their punishment's and realize they are a top three game easily in the world. People can't be consistently troll or be toxic in league without running into a 2 week or 4 week or ban. It's not to say there is no forgiveness outside of racial slurs but there is an extent where they realize you are only being detrimental to their profits but extension.

When you remove these players that negatively impact other players, you severely reduce a snowball affect of tilt. People who defend self unhooks often mention people who get bad games on repeat and who reach their limit, other players self unhooking in previous games are a big part of that.

I didn't imply that even a little, you would have to be so abysmally bad to meet the specifications I know you have read in the past, and I had mentioned back then that chase/slug/hook time wouldn't count and that I mentioned before that there would be a required playtime before these penalties would affect anyone.

  • @Nazzzak said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3515759#Comment_3515759

    This.

OP, you ask 'when is it okay to DC?' Uhhh it's not... that's why there is a DC penalty.

But fact remains, you can't force someone to play lol unless you go into their house and physically force them to unhook their team mates or keep repairing those gens. If people don't want to play, they won't.

But you can pretty much punish people for all forms of trolling, thats the point. DC, Self-unhook, Sandbagging, afking and whatever else. You can make systems to stop this for semi-consistent abusers of those things. You can, just like with any game not play but you will be punished.

  • @TheWarNung said:

Nah, trying to Kobe provides and extra bit of luck-based excitement. It's also useful for making the endgame shorter by letting survivors die fast to give their teammate a chance at hatch.

Plus, as a killer main I get SOOOOO upset when people kill themselves on hook against my no slowdown M1 killer 😜. Having a nice, easy 3v1 where I can take longer chases and relax a bit is pure agony. It just feels so punishing when survivors decide that my Doctor or Nemo is too OP to even bother playing against.

Your entire second paragraph which is obviously satirical is pure boredom to me.

  • I mean I don't have fun unless I get full chase potential out of survivor majority of the time but other players either don't play killers capable or the big one, not capable of it themselves. Tbf I also can't stand when killers kick a gen and leave or hit me and leave(especially at mediocre tiles). But I am a major exception about things like that. People kick gens like npcs(literally haven't kicked a gen in over 1.5 years now), people leave so often when chase is the only real part of this video game on both sides( I only leave if another survivor forces my hand), camping is rare as far as I can tell though(until end game), tunneling isn't that common either(as much as this entire forum makes it out to be). I simply want killers to play for chase instead of macro, as hesitantly as am to call kicking gens on repeat macro even as a former hag main. Even before I played survivor I was already limiting myself to this as killer because that's the most fun version of the game for both sides and I still win, I really don't care about these old killers below b tier that are forgotten with F tier design and no pressure.

I want to win but I want to struggle a bit. Most dbd players want to win while fing about, with 0 struggle. It's the true nature of this player base.

  • Getting throw on hook is something you can help and I'll get back to that but your teamates not saving you is out of your control, unfortunately if it's that common for you I can only recommend finding a swf.

With killer it is on you to learn

I would recommend watching guides and videos for both sides to learn. Literally hours of it, unless you can't learn at all from watching.

Both sides have a lot of nuance that would take a while to figure out on your own but not difficult once you see it a few times.

  • When did you leave? If you are talking about before 6.1.0 survivor then there was -20 perk variety.

  • I typically just bad after I kill the 3rd survivor, it's too much work these days even as blight to patrol gates for 2 min.

Sometimes I am in the mood to play it though.

theres 2 bugs right now with them, 1 is where the survivor gets invulnerability frames mid-vault and the second one is where guys have farther distance than the women do when fast vaulting. why revert the bug fix for vaults instead of just bug fixing those 2 issues while leaving fast vaults as how they should be?

it seems very dumb to revert it completely as for 7 years it hasn't been working properly, now your changing it back to not be visually accurate instead of just fixing the 2 bugs it has right now?

Your forgetting the part where they made dropdowns 10X faster, which is a bug that was in the game for a year that got fixed 6 months ago.

The devs are either non-communicative with each other or forgetful.

  • Gotta be the most boring killer to face in the game for me. Passive spirit phasing and condemn are both super unskillful. What a waste of a "rework"^DBD rework^TM.

The ideal goal for this killer should be to make her chase skillful with demanifestation and make condemn only slowdown unless extremely negligent.

Getting downed once at 2 gens after turning in 3 tapes but still getting mori'd is just the worst.

Easily worse than knight and barely less boring than SM.

I 100% agree. I also have a collection of Screenshots on my PC of Hits which were REALLY questionable. Where I was far away from the window after fast-vaulting it and still got hit. With under 40 Ping. And I also know as Killer that some swings should not connect, but I try it anyway and it works more often than not. And Killer mains do the same. See here:

    https://twitter.com/OtzdarvaYT/status/1686534140680609792

Yes, the fast vault looked goofy due to the Drop. But the swing was way too late, but Otz knows that this would have hit. The Nea would have bin hit while being quite far away from the window. Which should not have happened.

And I have seen Killers adapt to the new vaults already. Sometimes I still get hit, but this is because I was not far enough away. Which is fair. And I dont see many Swings at Windows anymore which means they adapted and know that not everything which hit before (and should not have been a hit) does not hit anymore.

However, soon we will have the joyful experience of getting hit miles behind the window. So that stuff like this will be more common. Yay. :)

But god forbid vaults are working. :)

Regardless of anything in your post, the otz one is completely wrong. There was the drops insta putting you to ground bug for a while and that's not ok. These faults aren't meant to insta drop you to the ground they should be normal over elevated heights.

League is infamous for handing out false dogpile and other unjustified bans. People more frequently are banned for calling out the person throwing the game/being toxic, than the actual gamethrower/toxic player. I refused to engage with chat in that game because so many false bans were being thrown out. I played League on release (when they sold a physical box in stores) until about S5-6, and it was always possible to make a comeback as long as the player that fell behind wasn't an idiot. I don't know if they changed the game mechanics so irreparably to make comebacks impossible since then however.

As far as jungle camping top lane, you can at least know your team is pulling ahead getting dragons, and if they aren't, then they are tactically planning on using the surrender feature I already mentioned. That isn't far worse than being slugged for 4 minutes, because surrenders hard end the match for everyone. Even if they refuse to surrender, you still have agency (again, unless League got even less playable over the years after I quit, they were heading that direction when I decided I was done).

So again if we want to compare League vs DBD QoL features, we have Champion bans, and a surrender feature in League. DBD has... far fewer false bans. I mean I guess that's something.

Now this one I wasn't present for, and have only heard from word of mouth, but DBD had no DC penalties for the first 3-4(?) years. The game had a much smaller playerbase, yet didn't die off immediately from the lack of a DC penalty. Almost like people only DC against the worst of experiences, otherwise people start to lobby dodge the DCing players.

I do find it funny though if you truly did come from League, you would know nothing anyone can do in this game is truly 'toxic' in comparison to the depths League players could dive. A ten on the scale of toxicity in this game is a two or a three in League.

The main thing with my post, is I was explaining that those games have harsher DC penalties because they have QoL features to make the worst of matches less common, or less painful or annoying. DBD has none of those features, and can have far worse experiences, drawn out for far longer. DBD is the only game I play, where a teammate DCing makes me go "yeah I get it". I don't approve or endorse, but I do understand. The lack of all of these basic features is the why, and the only reason they don't allow free DCs is because they aren't able to fix those problems in a timely manner. (See 'Hostage'* Merchant being untouched.) *In spirit

    Ok lets get started.

League doesn't give out false bans even remotely commonly. I have been warned once for leaving 10 YEARS ago over an email and suspended once for a first time offence for 14 days(deservedly). I have been playing consistently since s3 so I have immense knowledge on everything since then.

Comebacks: Always possible but just like dbd it relates to player skill, teamates and champ scaling. Yes you can make smart plays, but a few early game plays and some scaling will win you the game. Jungle being the most impactful since s2.

Top lane conversation: Did you really just say a top laner who has essentially done nothing for 10 min has agency because of a surrender vote? Is that a real statement? An entire dbd game played out besides Dull merchant games and you somehow gave agency to a league player with the same amount as someone afk in dbd for 10 min.

Champion/false bans: Yes when there are 170 champs in a game you need 10 bans, the game is 10X harder to balance and is much more balanced than dbd. 200 items and that many champs, I used to give riot so much **** but compared to dbd they do an infinitely better job. Again the false bans thing, not a thing simply. Especially nowadays.

Toxicity: I have probably 7K hours in league if I were to guess, peaking gm recently but I have not grinded ranked in many many seasons(pretty much irrelevant anyway because low elo is more toxic). Words hurt me far less than the gestures and cockiness of dbd players. Being a killer main for my first year tilted me far more than league had since 2014. Players have no ego or all the ego in the world in dbd. It's why you might of seen me spout about comp players in dbd because they generally(I have played against probably 8 and watched lilith play against a ton over 1500 hours) have bigger egos than faker(god) in league, which is completely absurd. I can't say I am top .5% of league players atm but I can look down on most dbd players easily. Also any minor chat offence in league gets you suspended, any consistent afk in league gets you suspended and a few games left in league gets you banned(all of those things lead to a ban real quick though).

Last paragraph: So a 15 min league game where you die once at 3 min and suffer for 12 more min is somehow less painful because you banned Yasuo? No I expect my teamates to suck it up in league where it's far more mentally detrimental and far harder and far more painful in the worst circumstance. Just like I'll take a 2 or 3 gen chase into a face camp as survivor in dbd.

If I queue top I ban fiora and there is still 5 more hard counter picks for whatever champ I play and then it comes down to pick order and jungle impact and whether or my lead even matters because enemy bot lane got 3 kills and the games over.

The only thing about league that is far less tilting is that they always will and always have had a patch every two weeks. But that doesn't matter when they cater to pro play and post an adc main as league balance designer.

So yeah, I like league and dbd is fun but your idea of league is wrong. There is no room for real toxicity in league, everything you do besides show mastery and emote is bannable but even those things I just mentioned can be muted.

The notion that league and league players are toxic is simply a remnant from 2012 to 2015 that has been literally dismembered at it's core. CS:GO voice chat is toxic but you literally don't have to experience a single bit of toxicity between leagues own parameters and any of the mute buttons.

They can fix the troll/give up issue with dbd. All they have to do is tie blood points per 2 min to every min not chased, hooked or slugged.

    AFK for several games? Suspended.

They should just remove giving up on hook or suspend people that do so.

8K BP over a game 10 min game where you didn't get camped, tunneled or slugged? Suspended.

Regardless of what the people on this forum(game) think, implementing this(with probably a few changes) will lead to a healthier overall player base and game. Cutting out part of the domino effect that continues to lower game quality.

Well if the devs can't think of a way to make it work than it is what it is. I mean it'd still be better than what its like now.. xD

Yeah! From 10k hour players vs 1k hours players to 5k vs 10 hour players, perfect.

While most of the games listed have longer matches, they also have basic QoL features such as bans in the Ranked modes. DBD has MMR required, meaning we only have Ranked mode with matchmaking (Customs being the alternative mode), without the Ranked mode QoL features found in those other games. Also many of the games have surrender votes. The games also don't permanently lock a player out of the match on death (forcing a SWF member to alt-tab and watch a video in the meantime for 3-20 minutes), and many of those games are designed with comeback mechanics. Shooters are also unique in that a sufficiently skilled player can literally solo the entire enemy team. If my team has half the gold of the opponents in Dota/League, we can still get lucky on an ambush/teamfight and win. If I have a baby Feng being chased first in DBD, it isn't a matter of if we lose, but when we lose (if the Killer doesn't intentionally hinder themselves to play nice). If she predrops all the pallets, I can't 5 gen run the Killer while managing their bloodlust with those pallets, especially if she is hiding and refusing to touch gens while I'm in chase across the entire map.

I am a league player of over 10 years now.

If someone is trolling I know for a fact they will get at least suspended if they do it a few times in a month, an entire month(people complaining about 24 hour bans after dcing 10 times LMAO).

There's no leaving, there's no afking and active trolling is rare. You may get extremely tiled players due to the nature of the game that play far worse than nomral but it's rare to run into someone running it down for the past 5+years(both are rare).

League is extremely snowbally, there is no major come back mechanic when played safe just like in dbd. Yes there are shutdowns but it's literally irrelevant if people play around it, sound familiar?

I can tell you that getting zoned off of even my first tower by the enemy top laner + jungler for 10 min straight to completely knock me out of the game with nothing that can be done because my jungler either is a weaker jungler or has to play around bot(bot lane jungle meta) is far worse than OH NO being slugged for 4 min(boo hoo).

In a game that typically lasts 12 min max, there is no reason to dc.

I know all the vets in this game are biased to the past of the party game the doesn't exist whatsoever anymore but it's not viable for the games health to let people(survivors) leave whenever they want.

Only in this playbase do people actively endorse this absurdly terrible behavior and it's quite sad that I have to witness it commonly. The harshest punishment in this game for an extremely selfish person is alt+tabbing, oh god you have to watch youtube for max 5 min.

Only thing I'll give you is dbd players being bad but that is no malicious in anyway.

  • I really am surprised otz of all people put the speed at fine tier, especially after admitting how often it lets a survivor make another safety net. I run it every single game and am far more lax while injured for a reason.

  • I didn't play with old animations but man did they look just the worst, so bad I would genuinely stop playing if they came back.

  • Slugging against teams in end game is the highest possible amount of fun I can have in this game. Although it happens rarely where both the game gets past 5 gens and teams are willing to play the all or nothing game.

Yeah none of those games are anything similar to what DBD is. Not to mention when I was a kid, there was no such thing as a leaver penalty. People just left games when they were no longer enjoying it. and no one cared. Some of the best games ever created in the FPS genre (CoD modern warfare), had no leaver penalty.

Companies would rather prevent you from leaving games when you are no longer having fun. Rather than take the time to figure out why a large number of their players feel the need to leave. Leaver penalties are a bandaid fix for a larger problem, which is the company is failing at delivering good match making.

You wouldn't need leaver penalties if matches were perceived as being more fair, or if there was just random match making.

You mention cod like you one person can't be worth more than 6 and there are typically 12+ players in the game.

Being one person down in dbd, even if that leaver is bad the game is over other than baby killers.

  • Not op but it has always been meta within teams.

I disagree with that. Blight has problematic add-ons for sure but even with them he can't beat the Nurse.

I will always be neutral in regards to blight, his add-ons can amp him so much that he can actually be stronger than nurse.

85% of nurse's total power level comes from base kit, blight can increase his total power level depending on add-ons and survivor skill level(so we call it 250% increase against equal opponents). Iri-tag/alch ring will pub stomp 90% of teams although it requires a lot of skill, but c33/green speed will win against insane comp teams.

The argument in regards to having something capable of going up against super strong .01% comp teams running everything at their disposal isn't up for me to decide.

And to be fair I feel that every killer is slow without shadow born so besides that

Ok fair, I can't disagree with shadowborn part. Your right but billys sound is global so harder to pinpoint, whereas blight has very loud bumps. So the drop on people only comes from stealth or max range rushes.

  • What's fast then? Blight and Billy have the same base speed in power.

  • Probably be second behind wesker.

  • To master, it's blight. No one has mastered that killer.

If it's about results then it's a different story.

  • I learned her like a year and a half ago. Played probably 25 games.

want to trade? my gaming day so far:

2x cheater instant kill cheater bots, 2x in a row the same moon ping blight followed by a p100 max speed blight and then a facecamping huntress over two hook stages.

    I'm done with DBD today.

Regardless of everything else you said, ping on blight is only detrimental to the killer outside of m1. As far as I am aware, he is the only killer like that.

Back when the anniversary even was out and every server had 100+ ping I had to stop playing killer the entire time, 1+ second bumps is not ok.

Yeah, I vividly remember that PRB were this things were changed and while the general killer buffs felt awesome, it was rediculous to work through 4 or 5 layers or Endurance :D OMG, it was rediculous.

For sure. I was only on that ptb for a couple days but by day 2 I was running alch ring to combat it.
