Blight, because his killer design is infinitely more fun than the rest.
Sheva, because she's hot and needs a rocket launcher.

I feel you’re one of the last people to call out anyone’s bias. You’re quite killer-sided, at least here in this forum. And I am no where near the inverse of Dunwich.
What do I actually say that seems to be killer sided? I am a self admited blight mains who knows he has op add-ons, I dislike people being able to leave games whenever for free(survivors), I dislike 3-gens, camping killers and think the game should tune down tunneling. The only reason I might seem killer sided is because I argue about blight with more knowledge about him than 99.5% of the people on this forum. I genuinely have played a lot more survivor than killer for the past year and a half now.
You make a one or two sentence snide remark hating on killers or expressing something heavily survivor biased. Dunwick does the same thing for killers albeit definitely more biased just with many more words.

One thing I've learned is if the Blight is very close to you and in the middle of a Slam...get up close and mess with their FOV. I noticed this causes a lot of Blight players to hestitate and may force them into cooldown which might give you time to get to a loop.
Also if a tile is tall enough and he's trying to Rush, crouch down. Break that LoS as much as possible. It'll make them second guess on the rush.
Man, I hate to discourage you because that's the last thing I would want to do. But it takes a literal top .001% survivor(in terms of playing vs blight) to use movement against a good blight after the first time. It's almost impossible to explain the wiggle/spin mixes that I have seen maybe 5 survivors do ever vs blight including me watching comp games/streamers, but only something that insane would ever work against an actual good blight twice. Also the only time movement on survivors means anything vs real people on almost any killer.
Both things you mentioned do work vs the large majority of blights somehow so I guess it's good advice but I would never in good conscience be able to say so without a disclaimer myself.

The problem is number 7. I played Blight extensively to find a counter, (maybe even more than Ghosty, who I would consider my main) and I found NO COUNTER. What I did find was gaps in my knowledge. There was always a better play for the Blight to make, and once I learned it, the Survivors were screwed. It is so oppressive, I can make continual mistakes like butter-sliding mid-match, and still learn, resulting in a 4k (or 3k+hatch, I don't bother slugging for the 4k). I had to learn and earn my victories on Myers, Legion, Clown, Ghosty, Trapper and so on, but with Blight, they are gift-wrapped on a silver platter.
When the counter to a Killer is 'hope they are a new player to the Killer', that is bad design. That is the case with Nurse, and that is the case with Blight (and on a rainy day I might even extend that to Spirit as well).
I also find it a bit silly to consider basekit Blight alone. Every person who plays Blight in a manner that makes you want to quit playing the game (altogether, not DC on the spot) will be using add-ons, as they aren't going to pull their punches. Even then, if we were to look at the extreme of negativity, I believe the Blight winstreak included numerous matches without add-ons.
The gaps in your knowledge as blight player is true to an extent but if as survivor you also know just as much about blight collision you can use it to your advantage. It just requires such an immense amount of knowledge it's dumb to expect from a survivor player.
EX: I take the blight to a long wall in which he only has one corner on the outside with collision, I play that entirely differently. If the blight forces a hug tech(if he can) in that scenario then I know I can play around it.
Just like the blight player should be, the survivor should always being looking at the outside of a tile or even depending on the tile the inside. "oh this long wall filler tile on borgo has no collision itself and none around it? Free."
I'm not saying it's easy to be in position to abuse a lack of collision vs blight but I have not seen a single other person mention it directly on these forums. Literally the only lack of collision I have seen comp players use against a good blight is shack, wow almost everyone should know that.
I've mentioned the lack of using collision against blight a lot but in this community/game I can't expect people to put the effort for a killer they likely don't play and even if they do they aren't going to go out of their way to learn all the collision regarding blight to such an extent that they can instantly recognize it as either role.
I randomly beat into the head of my survivor main friend that the coldwind T-pees(really don't know how to spell that) have no collision on some sides and directly watched him abuse a blight with it.
It's not that it's always possible to abuse collision in or a round a tile vs blight but that fact that it's pretty much ignored.
You can always catch up to someone as blight and that's strong true, but no one really knows about the killer in the first place.
NOTICE: BLIGHT HAS SEVERAL OP ADD-ONS PLEASE DO NOT DISCOUNT WHAT i SAID EVEN IF IT CAN BE TRUE REGARDING SOME OF THOSE ADD-ONS.

Soooo what happens if you just get downed and proxy camped for 2 minutes by huntress with iri head? Or get a lugged for 5 minutes? I don't think this idea is good... There will be games with even experienced players where you won't get enough BP for your system.
"Being available to do so"
If slugged, hooked camped or maybe even in chase you would not be affected by this.
-
Remove self unhook without deli(please don't mention luck builds as they are either hard throwing or strong with a full stack)
Make it so after you have 50 hours in the game, getting less than X bloodpoints after X time while being available to do so results in a penalty. EX: You have 500BP a min as a survivor at 5 min? You are not even remotely playing the game.
It's possible to make it so people can't baby rage quit the match, people just don't get it.
"If PeOpLe DoN't WaNt To PlAy ThEy WoN't" yeah no. Make them eat the mediocre DC penalty at least.
-
I mean slugging can be strong but it is very risky compared to any other tactics(outside of sadako being a terrible killer design).
Yes you were not in control of that situation, but imagine if your teamates all dogpiled you within 3 seconds of each other? You'd be out and what she did would be meaningless.
I think she definitely could have done more and gotten more kills with two people on death hook, but base kit endurance after getting picked up would literally remove slugging from the game and slugging isn't that good right now to begin with.

The only reason I don't feel Blight's (general) collision doesn't need to be a priority, is the Killer is so easy and so oppressive, when I slide off like butter into the ether, I still have a millennia to catch back up and down them in chase. If the bump fatigue increased based on tokens used like Nurse, then sure/maybe, I'd think it should be more of a priority, but it is simply too easy to 'get back in the fight' as Blight as is.
I am against bug exploits for everyone, (but less harsh for meme perks or weaker Killers) so I'd take the trade of no more bugtech for no more staggerless vaults in a heartbeat.
I mean if you slide off of something on your second rush and there is a pallet nearby the survivor should never get hit. Most blights are terrible and easy to deal with even with the op add-ons. I have literally not lost once vs a blight with c33 which has probably been 20-25 games for me. Blight might be easy to get value out of but he is far harder than any other killer. Blights collision has probably gotten 50% worse since I picked him up at the start of January 2022. I used to love macmillan and autohaven, now macmillan trees have a 30% chance to not be real and autohaven is worse overall. I'm positive the few months after weskers release caused collision to be changed for him without thinking of other killers.
The only reason you get a hit when you slide is because the survivor held W, that is the point of blight as a killer if anything.

Nothing about Blight requires skill it’s literally playing dbd on easy mode maybe he’s tricky on console but that’s easily learned too be so serious
I mean you are just completely biased. I have ran into one good blight while playing survivor ever. The killer has pretty much an endless skill ceiling, unlike majority of the killers in this game that don't have much of a ceiling.
He is top 5 in mechanics and requires more knowledge than any other killer.

you should post this in the “bug reporting” section of the forums. I hope this gets addressed because from the sound of it, it doesn’t sound pleasant at all. I mean i main Spirit so i have no idea how blight works 100% but when the sounds don’t work properly which is most of the time….i know the feeling.
anyway hope you enjoy the event! And don’t listen to those who claim he’s oP and whatnot, jeez it’s like the Spirit debate 2 years ago it’s annoying 🙄
Unfortunately I don't think this is fixable. The servers are simply not capable of handling the amount of players that come back to the game during these events and they slow down. I'm fine with blights power being tied to the server like this normally because it means he doesn't get an advantage from ping, but when it's like this I just can't play him. Like imagine if spirit or huntress has to wait an extra .25 seconds to activate their power, it would feel so clunky. Then blight has to do it for every bump.
Thanks for the sentiment though, I appreciate it.

The funny part of killer players is those who play for fun, they would play low tier killers because its really kill doesnt matter for them (I main Trapper and 2nd to Myers, Spirit but mostly meme with her). Those who play only to kill will use high tier killers with no mercy in sight.
Except I have been through many mains, I stayed away from blight for a long time. But I watched lilith omen do some wacky stuff and picked him up. If I wanted to slaughter people at the start of 2022 I would have committed to nurse.
I don't like basic m1 killers at all because they aren't fun for me whatsoever. I enjoy more skill expression than what those killers allow for.

Don't even, op thinks that Blight has highest skill ceiling and that alch ring takes skill.
No, your actually a weirdo. Everytime you speak to anyone about blight it's alch ring this, alch ring that. I think alch ring is op, your just beyond a hater of a character that is essentially the superior to your own.
Hillbilly has slightly more mechanical skill required to play him at peak compared to blight. Blight requires more knowledge than anything in this game. Hold the L. "oh but billy curve" yes you have to have mechanics for that, blight has to know all collision and instantly recognize the collision around any played tile. Your outdated, overnerfed and clunky killer is nothing by comparison.
IDK why I am responding to you actually. Every single thing you say to somebody with an argument is alch-ring abuser even though you have no idea, thus I muted you months ago to not implode to a person so salty about the fact their killer got gutted XDXDXD.

But highly prefer Nurse though, Blight just feels wrong with addons like legit cheating
I mean nurse is far easier and her power is terribly designed, blight on the other hand just has the best add-ons in the game which can be changed easily. If you feel the add-ons are cheating then don't use them, or if you want to use the add-ons don't use perks. I have played around 30 nurse games and guess which single game I lost?

Blight players are just always so mean I had one a minute ago just tunneling and hitting on hook all I wanted to do was look at the void stuff so aggressive
I mean maybe? Every blight player I have every played against besides one running iri tag was completely terrible. Most people just try to run alch ring or c33 and play like garbage. First game I played as survivor in the event was a trickster tunneling me out after he lost 3 gens in the first chase with me. Most killer players are scummy in some way, blight just has a potentially disgusting power level that attracts people who are new or have ego issues.
But yeah, it's not blight you hate. It's either his 4 add-ons, his supposed attracted players or you lack of understanding.

Blight is literally the strongest killer in the game why are you even playing such an op killer during a fun event

@[Deleted User] said:
Blight is literally the strongest killer in the game why are you even playing such an op killer during a fun event
Because he is the most fluid killer in the game with the highest skill ceiling and the most fun for me. I hard limit myself more than 95% of killers at least. I get it, you hate blight based on your previous posts/replies but the killer minus a few overused/overtunned add-ons is bar none the most interactive killer in the game. Although you probably don't really understand much about blight so I understand your strife to an extent. I mean 99% of killers are not good at the killer so how can I expect you to know much about him?
This post is not a post to garner sympathy but to let people know that blight as far as I know is exclusively the only killer who's power is directly tied to the server. A blight with bad ping and/or the servers are running slow due to a large influx of players means the blight receives a far larger detriment than any survivor or killer. A survivor's ping also means timings on hits change. 200 ping on a survivor requires a completely different timing on a shoulder flick.
-
In all my time playing this game up to 300 hours after the first 10 playing doctor I probably had a 60-70% kill rate. I don't think I ever hard tunneled and camping was relegated to an end game for me other than when I was securing a stage. I played Hag, nemi, ph and bubba, during prime CoH and God validation dh. Like I might main blight now but that meta was far harder to deal with than the current one. People suck at this game, genuinely be better.
Why are you always doing these super one sided posts? Ayodam was the first one to reply and they got a ton of upvotes but they are a reverse mirror of you. All they say is from a biased survivors perspective, you are the same for killer.
The only time I ever was going super try hard was like a month into blight getting 4X dh, iw, UB and filler perk. That was only because I was so fed up with seeing the same 6 perks that I refused to allow survivors to win at all.
-
The survivor is healthy and doesn't take a hit before making some distance. It's fine if a killer does that, but a good chase would mean both sides start even to me.
Although I probably handi-cap myself far more than the majority here. It's a large party of my break from dbd.
I so wish I could try as hard as possible on killer and feel nothing but dopamine and tilt like any other game.
-
If mmr was truly accurate to what it's supposed to do then you couldn't blame the game for it. That's not really the case though.
I don't want to be that guy, but if I can play my first two blight games with only yellow speed and bbq/shadow in the last two months and 4k both vs at least 1k hour players after dbd's attempted mmr degradation while highly inebriated tonight, then you can 4k as nurse and blight normally while running c33 and tunneling at the VERY least.
Like what are you expecting people to reply to this post? There's me who is a blight main and can say what I did above. There are people who are killer mains who will hard agree with you because they somehow can't accel in this game. There will be the in-between questioning you and the survivor mains laughing at you even though they also can't accel in this game.
I really don't want to involve your name but how are you not auto winning on nurse after 6k hours 99% of games? Although hours are pretty exclusive to dbd as a representation of skill, I guess that's what happens when it's the only visual representation of it. I've never heard someone refer to their hours in league or OW outside of clickbait titles on youtube.

I'm a little skeptical about this. Because I only play solo, and even though Survivor has a 100% bonus, the matching time still takes almost 5 minutes. There is no way that my skills are extremely low or high, so I have prepared three opinions.
In the first place, the bonus is just a sham. In reality, the number of killers has decreased dramatically.
There is a bug in the matching system and it is not referencing the correct runk.
The matching waiting list is filled with SWF slots, and there is a lack of slots available for solo survivors.
If bhvr is not a liar and the system is working correctly, then the third reason is probably the reason. If that's the case, Solo is being treated unfairly in this respect as well.
1: the bonus is not a sham, I essentially play against bots when not on 100% bp killer as killer. I really don't enjoy kicking puppies.
2: There is no bug with matchmaking. The base matchmaking is already broad and many things impact it in dumb ways. Just poor design that is somewhat a result of the wide skill gaps in the playerbase.
3: There was data released by bhvr years ago and it was about 50/50 2-4 swf and solo, I would think that swf has increased but I could very well be wrong. Again, all 4 players being solo is probably 1 in 5 games at the very least.
The only thing about solo being treated unfairly is the lack of a very basic ping/communication wheel imo. In ALL games a full team with comms will have the advantage, but it's up the devs to give every player the ability to get very close in communication, not give them out of game incentives that give them literally nothing in game. I genuinely could not care less about the mediocre horror aspect of dbd, which is the defense people have for giving solos a basic communication system.
People who stay because of their favorite horror licenses that have almost no horror impact on the game will stay, all of the other players will leave if they see their games is being treated worse fun wise than all the other terribly balanced awefully piloted games/devs.

Actually killers also demanded that in this same topic long time ago.
Demanded what? Hatch being removed or something to counter survivors hiding for 2 games worth of time?
-
I mean sure but that won't make the game more fun for solos.
Matchmaking working correctly won't make any solo team a death squad, but many killers would claim that to be the case if all 4 solo survivors of mmr matching the killers were all trying to win. Which can happen but rarely. Although 4 solos is probably really rare as well, more than people would make it out to be.

I wish to have a 1 month test without Hatch mechanic to see how much kill rate is increased. And the possibility that killers' nerf just by removing the hatch alone. There are alot more behind that one extra kill
I genuinely don't care about slugging for 4k but if you remove hatch what stops the survivor from stalling forever? Maybe aura reading after 60 seconds?

I actually cannot get to any such conclusion, it's completely random. Sometimes I get good days other bad days and they don't really follow any pattern I can pinpoint.
I only play killer when it's past 11:00PM and it's 100% on killer. That way matchmaking gives me real humans.
-
What's actually wild to me is in my survivor games the only time people DC/unhook is when they aren't being tunneled. I genuinely think I have only seen one player on my team that's getting tunneling leave the match.
As much as people try and blame it on tunneling and camping, I just don't see it in my games.
-
I would not say it's that insanely hard to master no. Although it depends on your definition of mastery, because there are few people in few games that you could be argued to be perfect. If you are factoring in a human element as you should then I would say no.
If you go out of your way to learn the game from creators you can get the hang of this game really quick. I was exclusively a killer player when I picked up dbd and the reason I did was from randomly seeing otz play hag. At around 300-400 hours in my macro was really good and my mechanics were good too(not there is too hard of mechanics in this game except for a few killers). My game knowledge was also solid. I would not say I was a master level killer player but definitely far far better than average.
I would say survivor is overall the harder role by quite a bit, at least for me. Learning how to chain loops together in the best way given your rng and knowing how to play against each killer takes quite a bit of knowledge.
A game like league is just so extreme in every aspect that is just outclasses dbd on mastery. League has over 200 items and 165 champions in the game, learning those interactions and figuring out the mechanics there could take a very long time on it's own. Then there's figuring out the intricacies of laning phase and how to play/build as your champion vs their champion. When to roam, when to just take an L for 5 min. Late game macro to be efficient but put pressure on the map and be in the right spots for team fights.
DBD is unique and has a decent skill curve but it just doesn't have enough in it to be "one of the hardest games to master". It may seem like I am downplaying it a bit, that's not what I am trying to do. The game isn't easy.
-
@I_CAME said:
I'll say what I always say. There's zero incentive to stay in a survivor game that looks like it's going badly. You aren't going to win and you aren't going to get any bloodpoints either. Especially true if you are a solo player. The odds of you making a comeback are very low due to how quickly things snowball for the killer. For less experienced players there's also a high probability of them being hard tunneled out so I kind of understand why they give up. The person who gave up might have just been tunneled out five games in a row. It's impossible to really know their motivation for giving up. Give people more of an incentive to stay in games if you want to solve this problem. I don't know how to achieve this but clearly something needs to be done.
An incentive would help but a penalty is what brings results.
Or you know, just remove the ability to self unhook without deli?
Maybe make dc penalties a bit worse than they are now. People log in and play 5 games(leaving 3 of them) and do the same thing the next day.
Attacking the reasons for why people give up is a good start but it''s not enough in a pvp game and def not enough with how fragile players are in this game.

The skill required to play survivor is so ridiculously high that everyone on the teams has to be like pros. It's insane. Matchmaking will never fix that. Survivors need buffed in all aspects.
The entry into survivor is more than killer for sure, but it's not as much as you make it out to be and not everyone needs to play like pros. The truth is just everyone is terrible on both sides and one survivor doing a challenge can solo lose a game.

I have gone against several blights on survivor that were running C33 with slowdown and got no value out of it. Even c33/alch ring/iri tag being completely free people still struggle, hence why I said it takes a good blight or potato survivors to get value.
I mean alch ring requires skill and iri tag requires the most skill of any add-on in the game for sure. But c33 is just pressing right click at worst. Although I guess I have never lost to a c33 using blight...

When we look at the Blight VS Nurse showmatch Hens did some while ago the result was basically that without addons Nurse is stronger but Blight gets amplified by his addons so much, especially insta pallet breaking, that there is not much you can do against him, which basically makes him the strongest killer in the game, addons don't give Nurse that much more power...
First of all there is quite literally 0 point in engaging with the person you responded to here, they cannot hold a conversation
Second, if we take 98% of the player base nurse is easier to win with. I get I am a bit more experienced with video games than these horror fanatic's but I have played around 30 games of nurse and I only lost one(guess which one). That character is extremely easy to pilot
Blight on the other hand, I have seen very very few players I would consider good from my PoV. He simply takes too much knowledge than any other killer by a near infinite amount and more mechanics than all but a couple killers to pilot efficiently. Yes, some rando with mediocre everything related to blight can run a few add-on sets and still win but that only exemplifies the problem with the killer.
But yes, alch ring/ iri tag is theoretically a 400% increase in power compared to base kit blight(although iri tag is very counterable and by far the hardest add-on to peak with in the game).
Simply put, blight needs add-ons nerfed and nurse needs a real rework( not bhvrs definiton of a rework which is essentially just minor buffs or nerfs majority of the time). Looking at you legion and GF.

Killers will always say gens go too fast. We heard it even during the CoBruption meta when killers could force every game to go 30 minutes to an hour.
'Gen speed' is the popular outcry for two main reasons: it's easier than admitting you aren't there literal best killer in the game, and the devs seem to consistently make the mistake of listening to killers, so everyone is convinced of they ######### loud and often enough that they'll do it again.
First it was 'gen times', which was increased in 6.1 by request.
Then it was 'dead hard and DS' buy too much time. So they were gutted. Dead hard is such a popular excuse this happened twice.
Then it was 'healing is too strong' and thus medkits and circle were deleted.
Then it was 'prove thyself and BNP are OP' until those were deleted too.
Now we're back to generic 'gen times to fast'.
Seeing a pattern? The only thing most killers haven't considered is their own gameplay. Slap on 4 slowdowns, kick every gen, and wander blindly around the map looking for survivors. Then when you finally get a down 3 minutes into the game, but 2 gens have popped, you come over here and scream about gen times because you think it's been 45 seconds.
Literally any excuse to avoid the thought that you could improve your gameplay in any way. And why should you? Just complain on the forums loud enough and you'll probably get the nerfs you want. Those nerfs won't matter, because A) that wasn't the issue the whole time, and B) you'll just continue moving the goal post every time this happens.
Regardless of anything you said here, dh is just boring to play against when it's hard meta. I even use dh because it's fun to say dh out loud in a swf but it's tiring to say "dead hard" in the most monotonous way possible 8 times a game as killer .
"Oh? DH?... DH, wow.
top healing times were op, it would show immense bias to suggest otherwise. Self healing being 5X better than altruistic healing destroys major breakpoints in a match. Boons continue to have little to no real counterplay but most of those perks are bad because of that limitation, CoH being limited to swf/solos with brain and expo limited to swf(but being immensely powerful when used correctly). Boons just need to be base kit adjusted so they can be balanced well.
BNP might as well be the same or even better in certain situations
Prove is still good and was adrenaline level before the nerf(like a common scenario in a close game that can solo clutch the entire game) It's always been better to split on gens but prove can delete a valuable gen with miniscule solo queue coordination.
I am not agreeing with these killer players here, they are just bad, just like most 90%(ATLEAST) of dbd players are terrible. They will whine and complain and act like they understand more than they do. I was a biased killer player for my first 6 months playing but I genuinely despise how most killers play now(like bots), that's not a reason to dispute the power level of certain things on survivor side however.
But don't try and deny things that were absurd on survivor just like I don't deny how absurd the current state of blights add-ons are.

I usually agree with your takes but not this one. Most (yes, a majority) of survivor perks are bad/inefficient. If one isn’t getting consistent value from a perk—that means it works more than once in a blue moon under the ‘right’ conditions—it isn’t a good perk. It’s a niche perk. And that is a bad perk. Most survivor perks fall into this.
Unbreakable.

Multiplayer games work best when everyone has agency. They also work best when people interact with the opposite side in versus, or the same side in cooperative (even better if both at the same time). Due to the nature of this game, denying players of agency is required, but shouldn't be done any more than necessary.
When people chase/get chased and have options in chase, they have agency. When the Killer is forced to entity block too strong of a window with 3 vaults, they don't have agency, they have a flowchart. When a Survivor is facecamped and is forced to sit on hook and not end the match early, they don't have agency, they have a flowchart. Mechanics that give agency to agency-less situations should be encouraged and embraced. Mechanics that deny agency should be tooled to give agency.
Since this is a versus game, the skill of both sides comes into play. This also is a game where you can supplement a lack of skill with overpowering tools, like a giga-toolbox or Blight. As such, when each side brings those powerful tools, they are seeking victory at all costs. The other problem, is a player has no control over the caliber of their opposition. The match where I bring meme perks, can be met with a sweaty Nurse. The next match I could bring a giga-toolbox expecting fire to fight fire, but then I run into an add-onless Trapper. People too frequently bring forward stronger tools to counter the sweat they faced last match, and that leads to an arms race essentially. The best way to try to face this is do your best to not engage in the arms race, that's why I call this a party game, to not engage in a sweatlord mindset.
Part of the sweatlord mindset is lobby dodging, which is the current greatest threat to matchmaking. Lobby dodging causes an autofill player from any skill bracket to fill the lobby dodger's space. As such it increases the rate of being forced into outmatched lobbies for one side or the other.
Question
If dodging lobbies starts to get punished(not as much as dcs but a ramping affect) and there was a queue with no items/add-ons for both sides would that be better? I guess the end result is that killers don't play add-on reliant killers and the general tier of killer goes up but I would still think that to be fair.
Blight with meta perks and no add-ons vs 4 decently meta perk survivors with no items would be pretty balanced for ex.
I know dbd players hate the idea of a penalty for game ruining bhvr but it needs to be punished to move forward. This game is so stomp or be stomped to an extent and that comes from the two big things you mentioned.

Actually crazy how both sides are just saying the other side wants them to be their punching bag.

He is so terrible.
Better buff him than.
Thank god for all the wonderful killer mains on this forum to keep us in the loop, like we dont play the game as well.
Not what they said, 90% of blights are terrible flat out. The next 8% are alright and then the last 2% is probably where you see good blights.
People are slow in their bumps, slow to recognize collision, don't mind game with their power and generally don't know enough about the collision around them.
-
I mean, survivors shouldn't have their "surrender option" in the first place. I would not give killers the option to ***** out when I know how survivors abuse it.
*90% of the forum on their way to defend going next on survivor even though they are biased and know nothing outside of dbd*
XDDDDDDDDD.

Pretty much any killer in otz's A tier is what I think is good besides spirit. All of those killers are fine to vs and are strong.
BUT buffing weaker killers up to that level with their current kits would make them absolutely miserable to play against. Make clown A tier while keeping his power even remotely the same without making him uncounterable.

I said revert half the nerfs. Pop was nerfed on percentage 25->20 and category total->current. Then it was buffed on the percentage 20->30. So half the nerf was reverted, and buffed on top of the revert for that part. Maybe I was unclear.
Ruin was double nerfed: Death and Percent. (I'd delete Percent's nerf)
DS was double nerfed: Endgame and Stun Duration. (I'd delete Duration's nerf)
Iron Will was double nerfed: Exhaustion and Percent. (I'd delete Percent's nerf)
Self-Care was double nerfed: Efficiency and Percent. (I'd bump Percent back up to 45%, so altruism is still better)
Thana was hard deleted (in 6.1.2/6.1.3): Percent tanked unless all 4 are injured. The old 1 was essentially now the current 3.
Each of these should have half of the nerfs reverted, or in Thana's case hard reverted to the pre-6.1.0 version, maybe even 4.5% per Surv instead of 5%, so that the 80s 5% would be roughly equal slowdown to 90s 4.5%.
Ruin percent nerf is fine to revert
DS duration is fine to revert
IW nerf is actually perfectly fine as is, 100% was broken in more ways than one and the exhaustion fits it into the mft, resilience, dh, windows, ect.. build. 75% is also way better than 95% of people make it out to be.
Self care idc tbh
Thana really wasn't 6.1.0, the devs buffed it to be hard meta without realizing the consequences then hard nerfed it to only work with the killers that synergize with it most. I agree it should go back to what it was before 6.1.0.
The biggest reason the changes were fine is that change is good in live service games. Bhvr updates dbd at the pace of a snail compared to any other game. I was so bored of playing the game in the couple months leading up to 6.1.0. I was going to implode. Survivors where all the same and played the same. I didn't play survivor until after 6.1.0 very much but I am sure survivors were over playing against ruin/undying/pain res every game.
I could go grab the link to a comment I made about this if you wanted me to but OW is a prime example of what happens to a game with a 3 week patch cycle that transitions to a 1.5 month patch cycle. League is so large because of it's two patch cycle(roughly 85% of the time though out a year) even if changes are bad which some are it keeps the game ever changing.

I'd go as far as revert half of all meta perk nerfs done in 6.1.0. They already did it with Pop (and buffed it on top of that with 25->30), so just bring back the healthy perks to be usable again.
I mean pop isn't better, it's current not total regression. Most changes in 6.1.0. were fine, ruin was done a bit dirty though.

100% those are the most fun killers to play against. But I imagine it's really hard to design all new killers like that, they kinda tried with giving tps to people but one was sadako and one was dredge. One being abysmal to go against and the other is just alright imo.
-
A lot of the "bad" killers just don't have the capacity to be buffed to A tier. Clown, trickster, trapper, legion, any of those being A tier would be awful to play against.
-
The game has been boring besides some survivor for me for some time now. It took me a long time to realize but feeling like I can't try hard in this game hurts my want to play a lot. I don't mean try hard in tunneling but I can't put 100% effort into the game, constantly walking on eggshells to be "nice" to the enemy. The game was really fun when I was still learning blight and had pretty much 0 empathy for survivors at that time. But a lot of the reasons I had 0 empathy for survivors were removed and I played both sides more. Current mmr does not help.

No worries.
From my experience in the game and from what I've seen mostly posted on these forums, you are the minority for ending up back at a hook.
As @Krazzik said in an earlier post "much of the time it will be because they're proxy-camping and just wanna tunnel" and that is what I've seen the most. And those are the people that come on here and cry about basekit BT and being called a camper/tunneler, when they are playing that exact style.
The people who don't play that style normally aren't called out for their play and if they are, they can calmly explain why they didn't actually tunnel versus coming here to find people to take their side.
I would agree with you. That is likely the reason most people get hit with bt.

You left the hook to hook another, at that point all is fair. That's good killer play and if they don't see the chase is happening and take that time to go unhook, then they screwed up.
But you also can't be called out for tunneling since you hooked two different people already.
Thank you. That's about the only time I "tunnel" depending on a persons definition of tunneling.

Everytime this topic comes up, my answer will always be the same.
Why are you at the hook anyways that this is an issue?
There is 4 survivors. 1 hooked, 1 getting them off the hook and 2 working on gens.
You are focused on the 2 who are not a threat (needing to unhook, and heal and get back into working on a gen) vs using any of the really useful information perks and going after the other 2 who are working to finish gens.
If you aren't near a hook, this would never be an issue.
Hook.
Leave.
Find a new survivor on a gen and attack.
Repeat.
If they use it when there is only 2 survivors left, welp that's a fair down as you've clearly not tunneled.
But if you are near the hook when 4 survivors are still up (unless they follow you to hook like a moron) then you should never have a problem.
Easy.
Hook, down another survivor, hook them and if no one is readily available via bbq then back to previous hook.
I am not tunneling, I am not camping or proxy camping. it's a result of cumulative misplays on the survivors part and if at that point they take the bt hit, they have it coming X10.

I will now use the most extremely example to justify my point.
Completely unneeded nerf to a set of (currently) outright bad perks.
Thats why I said they need to be functionally changed to allow for direct buffs to them.

A survivor takes 14 seconds to bless Totem, while a killer takes 1 second to snuff Totem
So if they are blessing the same totem over and over again, it's to your advantage because they don't fix the generators
So it doesn't need any changes
incorrect.
If a survivor boons the top of ironworks, that's a big waste of time for the killer to go up there. That's an obvious example but there are many scenarios like that. If there are two gens left on one side of the map and a boon by the completed gens on the opposite side of the map, the killer would be throwing to go snuff that boon.
Expo and CoH are still good but the other boons will never be buffed until base changes happen to boons. It's not much of a problem anymore because people don't use boons often anymore and expo requires coordination to really go crazy.

Bro, you can’t call for a nerf when you think DPI is an exploit… I’m sorry…
Can't believe people are still on about dpi when it was changed over 2 years ago now I think. I really do think it was because of an otz video a little over year ago when he said it randomly. I love otz but I do find it so strange that he would never care to learn this killer well.
@dbdthegame said:
lil bro is pressed that there's a killer he can't use MFT against
I mean sure mft is not as effective vs blight but it's a misconception to believe it accomplishes nothing.
Not being able to get in position for a shoulder flick or being forced to flick and the 3% causing a close miss isn't uncommon due to this perk.
