Yeah it's a complete rework moment. Not a "bhvr rework", but a true massive kit change.
Her gameplay is comically over rated in terms of difficulty, she only has a steep learning curve(for dbd).
Safe blinking on the large majority of objects/tiles in the game is an injure.

its removing teamwork, theres no argument.
What you want is a free out, there's no argument XD.
Equal levels of discussion ^.

I mean, I'm going to log back on with mft, dh, WoO and resilience(free slot). it's still going to be good and I'll keep running it.

how is removing teamwork "good" design? you think killer should be gifted free kills at endgame?
I mean it's not free. 3 people and it's an out vs a large majority of the killer cast. A sadako might wiggle past the 3rd person who body blocks and nurse might blink and a blight might slide past. Teamwork is having a tiny bit of confidence and a tiny bit of recognition of a situation to go find at least one teamate while the other is on hook, heal and swarm the hook. If you think it's a free kill just because one person can't tank an endurance hit then I really don't know what to say.

next time dont respond then, removing collision with endurance is poor design, and removes teamwork from the end game.
Not sure how removing collision would be poor design but I guess it's too much to expect someone to explain themselves on the forum.

It's biggest use is knowing what pallets have been dropped by your team, I know every pallet spawn in the game but could very well run myself into a dead zone by pure bad luck.

"There's a lot of counterplay" always been a excuse used by ALL hugtech users, you included, there is not, play killer and 4 survivors clones of yourself and I am sure you'll lose as survivor, there is 0 counterplay to hugtech and never will be, the counter to blight is what hugtech literally ignore, this is why it must be patches.
Saying the hug tech has no counter play essentially equates your knowledge and stake in any conversation here to 0. Especially when you reply to a comment explaining what it's most practical uses are met with "it has no counter play".
You watch literal any high level blight who is try harding and they are going to be rarely hug teching, doesn't matter if it's comp or a streamer going all out. You go against a new blight and they will sit there at a car or loop messing it up 5 times in a row. You go against a human blight not doing everything to win and he will try to incorporate it into gameplay as much as possible because it's fun feels immensely fluid.
Not to say it doesn't have it's objectively good uses as HTL said but it's not winning people matches like you think. It helps blight play already killler sided filler tiles, rush mitigation for traversal of the map in an optimal way and making a tile that is unplayable for blight potentially playable.
I swear people think " This blight just bumped into a pallet and sat there for nearly an entire second while I couldn't see his red stain, I should stay here because he definitely isn't going to hug tech towards me" or sit on the other side of a car pallet tile like they would vs an m1 killer.
But hey go off man, you definitely know what you are talking about and not just talking bs.
-
In 6 months, wow!
-
Grim embrace should genuinely just reveal all survivors aura. 40 seconds is fine until people are hiding. The perk is supposed to apply immense pressure, which doesn't happen during grim embrace. Just nothing without outside perk factors.
-
*survivors dying on hook shouldn't be a thing*
If there was some comp game mode and in qp the current gameplay was the norm it would be fine but there is only one queue.

Can you say the same for 3 gen tho? Its commonly stated that it's on the survivors if they allow the gens to pop too close together and be stuck in a 3 gen which is basically punishment for doing the objectives but it can't be on the killer to manage where they hook the survivors? I agree that the OP's situation is unfair but it's not common enough to warrant blindly throwing hooks around without consideration for placements after someone dies
I mean it really doesn't have a place in the game. 3 genning has some level of merit and it's getting addressed, hooks disapearing is rare and typically somewhat out of the control of the killer/a waste of time for a game that's already over.

Quentin: Somehow people usually assume Quentins are useless - similar to Leon, just without the troll part. ..... and tbh, they are. except when they're actually cracked.
As for killer:
Nemos have a tunneling license and don't know how to do anything else.
Nemo is the only killer with a tunneling license. I'm half mad if they don't.

Is it really a wild take when a significant majority, including CCers noticed and pointed out that matches have been feeling significantly harder recently?
Hell, we even have multiple threads in the forum pointing out that matches have become unpleasantly sweaty. (In which mandy confirmed the softcap increase no less.)
It doesn't make them gods in terms of actual power level, unless you are referring to their skill level as god level.

@jesterkind said:
It wasn't senseless, it made perfect sense and is very easy to understand.
6.1.0 was a patch aimed at addressing complaints about a stale meta. The only way to guarantee doing that is to make meta picks less appealing and to make not meta picks more appealing. If the end result of the change is that you still want to run it consistently, that patch would have failed.
I wouldn't mind seeing Ruin buffed up a bit to be more useful, especially now that we're over a year past the point where its prevalence (among others obviously) was causing complaints, but the actual nerf it got can't be too much for the goal of the patch. I'm not saying I want the perk to be useless, but it being useless isn't a mark of failure either.
I don't understand why dbd players want so badly to keep the game exactly the same. If the meta was still the same as before 6.1.0 then is 0 chance I would be playing this game still.

You say it is an unintended bug but have yet to fix it. Can you spend some time working on it within the next few bug fix sessions you guys do. It is kind of getting old, getting downed to a bug and losing a match and the killer not getting punished for abusing the bug. Nobody cares if the community gets in an uproar about it since only a handful of people actually use Blight in a religious way. It is unfair that you guys refuse to fix it because the killer is a strong killer or if there is a game breaking bug on a weak killer you leave it untouched for months. Blight doesn't deserve to have a glitch that breaks the rules of his power. If this happened on Pig and any trap she put on gets activated immediately you would patch it in a day.
Yeah, that's not even close to equivalent. People drastically overestimate the power of the hug tech. Biggest use is mitigating rush usage followed by turning a large chunk of filler tiles into repeating 50/50s which is pretty much how they are for m1 killers. Definitely outliers here and there but I doubt you would see them often.

Guess I will play Nurse like I play Myers by Mandy's explanation. Slower than survivors and an inconsistent power but hey I have map knowledge and game knowledge, not like I need to know how her power feels to get a Blink attack to connect on a consistent basis.
You could literally go into bot matches for 45 min to get a major grasp on her blink range. If you play more than 5 matches of nurse and still can't grasp the range or hit a survivor I don't know what to tell you. I lost my first game on nurse and then didn't lose again before I dropped her, to be fair only for 20 games during prime dh meta.
Blight is more beginner friendly but spending 2 min rushing around each map with shredded notes to get a feel for collision would greatly help your cause.
As mandy said the the mmr isn't the same as your main, just not baby mmr so you could literally stomp survivors without blinking on nurse.

It adds to the game from the killer's perspective. From the survivor's perspective there's little to no counterplay, especially on high walls with no line of sight. It's also obviously a bug, since you are turning off your collision using a strange method of hugging a collision object while looking up or down.
No it adds to the game from both sides. Unless you are at a filler tile which is generally killer sided it rewards fast thinking and prediction. If there is high walls then the blight is literally blind until he is past it as well.
-
This game looks like complete garbage vanilla.
Yes, making scratchmarks bright pink and everything else grey is advantageous. But I'm fine with that being a thing so the game isn't vomit inducing.

Does anyone know why Blight's addons have not been nerfed? Has Behavior said anything about it? Also, when is Blight "Hug Tech" getting fixed?
Hug tech only adds to the game, the add-ons are announced and you are thread number 500 in the last month about them.
-
Didn't even get to kick a gen during eruption meta because I've been kick free for nearly 2 years now.
-
DBD players are prone to keeping the game as barebones as possible in order to maintain a somewhat immersive horror game(this game isn't a horror game). Kinda like the non-sense with making killer the power role, it's not immersive just plain boring if either role is too strong.
Also, more than other pvp game playerbases they have a less experienced pvp game profile on average.
Most people don't need that crosshair due to muscle memory, but some people need the visual indicator in order to aim accurately by nature. I personally don't, but I would never fault someone for using it.
-
Super early dc/suicide and pretty much always afk after I get 3 because playing the gate game is so boring.
-
I'm not convinced lethal should be above pain res or even in S tier. If it's strictly for finding a survivor fast you can do that without lethal all the time, I'd say the more important part is knowing the split of survivors.

If we are talking about the meme addon, then I would be fine with it not nerfing him quite so hard but apart from that, which of Blight's addons need buffs? Half of them are problematic because they make him way too strong. The addons themselves wouldn't all be quite so overpowered, if Blight's base kit wasn't this strong. But a killer that is on the very edge of being broken can't have addons this powerful on top.
They could make his two learning add-ons actually useful. c7 is the worst add-on in the game, not even close and it's supposed to help people learn him. Monocle is just plain inaccurate, the range is off by a few meters and it deceives newer blights into thinking they'll actually collide with something.

Typing like that looks painful and is difficult to read. I don't get it, and I'm glad I don't. It comes off as rather childish.
And yes, people will always find a way to leave, whether you like it or not. Lol put in a penalty like the one you suggested and bye bye customers. The developers won't do that, not a chance.
If it eats away at you that much, when someone is trying to leave via hook, there is reassurance. I saw someone do that before...you can guess what happened next. :x sigh.
The most we will likely ever see is a time penalty for disconnecting, and an easy way for people to avoid that is the hook.
Your argument has no premise whatsoever. However, OP and others do, and very strong conclusions to back it up.
If a teammate doesn't want to play, they don't want to play. What do you think you forcing them to stay in the game is going do? Now you have a tilted teammate in your game that may intentionally grief you even more. Just stop.
No response? Lmao.
I haven't seen a legitimate argument for people leaving via self unhook yet. I give real arguments and people either drop the convo or spew more irrelevant garbage.
Please give me a reason why survivors can leave for free or the disconnection penalty is so lax after reading my previous response. I'm oh so curious why it should be in the game other than to give children a free disconnect when playing survivor. Killers camping until death means two mins of your time, killers slugging in end game until you die is 4 min. Neither of those are time extensive although they could be looked at.
Again only dbd community could make an argument for it, when their game relies on the 4v1 aspect.
Not to undermine the fact that killers can bleed you out for 4 min, but maybe alt tab?

They could still be left with a 3v1. People could AFK, give themselves to the killer, or sabotage the game in other ways. You can’t force someone to play the game in a way you’d like—period.
How many times do I have to bring up other games to prove you are just wrong. It's almost sad how many times you have repeated this.
-
So trade turning my brain off when I'm tired on killer for the same when I play survivor? Although they are completely different levels of strength.
Nah, I'm good.
-
Bump logic is actually harder on vial by a lot because of the reduced turn rate. Anything but a straight shot means there is a high chance you can slip off collision, especially with how much collision has been butchered over the past couple years. Anything but a shoulder flick is also terrible on blight, because it pulls you in the direction you were going rather than exactly where your looking with normal blight flicks are super easy to dodge.
On some maps vial is extremely strong and on others it's most definitely weaker than double speed.

I dont agree
like I said before, if tons of perks were stronger, players would have to pick 4 perks among all strong perks therefore more variety and unpredictable matches
Yeah but how in the world do you make monstrous shrine or red herring without making them completely absurd or unfun to play against? Like if you make clown the same power level as wesker, how in the world would there be any gameplay left for the survivors? Some things in this game just don't have the design to be strong. Ofc there are some that are viable to be buffed to adrenaline level, but I simply don't have faith in bhvr to pick those correctly.
-
A ton of perks, just like killers being buffed up to Adrenaline level as an example would be terrible to play against.

It's meant to be childish, it's imitating people who think there is nothing that can be done in regards to people who give up which in itself is childish and I have only experienced in the dbd community.
Did you really say lol put in a penalty like it's supposed to mean a ton of people left league? Game is one of the biggest in the world. League is framed as such a toxic game, but that's just a remnant from season 4 and before. You are not allowed to be toxic or troll or leave for more than a couple games in a couple weeks before your done. People will dc after getting downed in 30 seconds in dbd, people will still try to win in league after getting zoned from their first tier tower and by extension any gold or xp for 8 min straight via top/jungle 2v1.
You don't realize that people leaving creates a cycle of tilt that causes others to leave games/troll and it spreads like a plague. You can highly mitigate trolling/leaving in this game via something like what I proposed.
I have been an off and on league player for 10+ years, do you know how little people have ran it down or left the game in the last few years? Less than 1% of my games easily. You can always make it so people can troll/leave the game, ofc you can never have someone stay in a game but you can punish them to not ruin other peoples games.
What can you do, again it's only this game where people find it acceptable to ruin other peoples games. The most hilarious part is it very rarely happens to me on killer. I could run the most broken stuff on blight and still get a "gg" or "your a really good blight" it's rare to get hate for me on blight. But on survivor people do it 1 in 5 games when I play survivor and it just means I get 10 mins of pretty much a guaranteed loss.
I genuinely have no idea why people fight this idea so much on this forum/game, unless of course they like to leave games themselves. I personally hate playing vs half the killer cast because they are uninteractive one way or another but I'm not going to leave because of it, I'd rather try my best to destroy them. Same applies to tunneling.
Edit: this isn't CoD or battlefield. If one or two people leaves in those games it's easy to make up for, that is not the case for dbd.
-
Nothing will ever rival survivors OG OP meta(with some CoH sprinkled in after that was added). I had to quit playing dbd in april 2022 because I was just so bored of playing against the same 5 perks on 4 survivors every game. I had 0 sympathy for survivors back then because of it. Called them bots with perks and that was true.

You can present evidence of a dev literally saying 'you're wrong', with receipts, and they will fight tooth and nail to say otherwise.
If you are referring to me by chance then know I was only stating facts almost no one else would know and that only mandy has said anything about it. It's been a year and 7 months since the initial statement, I also said mandy was technically more valid from the standpoint of the company.

Yeah, sorry but 180s are the least problematic part of blight. After the initial screen turn limiter during a rush, he then has to hit and gets a slow increase towards that 180. It's literally reactible.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6J6EIFAEPLPL/img-6679.png
I mean, it depends.
Do you take the dev who created blight and left bhvr before being able to properly adjust blight to then remove it later on down the line although it being intended by him in the mean time or the couple statements mandy has made with no input from any other bhvr individual?
So I understand mandy is more valid in terms of bhvrs stance, McClean is far more valid logically and I have 0 faith that they could/would properly remove the hug tech without creating massive issues with the killer. But hey, there are a lot of individuals on this forum that don't know better and want it removed because something fluid that has interactive counterplay is in the game.
"But it's not intended" yeah, lmao what an argument.
But yeah I guess double speed blight at killer sided filler tiles using the hug tech is pretty strong, but who am I to say that's 100% fine.
