That is one of the best things I have seen today
I saw this an hour ago and thought "I'll probably have to wait a while to use this" and I almost immediately found a use for it.

Oh wow, another DS post. I think this deserves a reward
Seriously man, anything that can be said has been said.

Swords and knives have differents types of blades and hilts. If you look it up close, PH's holds a giant kitchen knife. This also relates to the fact that he's the encarnation of James' guilty, that's why he uses a daily item as a weapon, but way distorted. His weapon description in DBD also mentions it as a Great Knife.
Thats true, but the blade has been manipulated enough from its original state as a kitchen knife that a case can be made for it now being a sword rather than a knife. With it being so big. Names don't make much sense, especially since theres the whole symbolism thing with SH.
-
Why can't it be both? Smash Bros is a party game with a competitive scene.

I've actually found that his Chrome mask works better than the red one on darker maps like Yamaoka. Mainly because it actually does its job at semi-reflecting the environment around you, so its visibility varies depending on the map. This also means that it's much easier to spot on brighter maps like The Game, and Lery's, but overall its a pretty decent mask to use for the majority of the maps if you are trying to keep from getting noticed.
Thats true, I normally stick with red because of its consistency. I use chrome when I bring an offering.

I use the classic whole(pretty scream)ver why the red one?
White and black are contrasting colors so the mask sticks out like a sore thumb, this doesn't happen with red.

As someone who's done various sword training for 20+ years, the underhanded swing, which is typically weaker on a long sword, makes sense for the mere injury he gives them. Though I agree from an aesthetic sense, it is very underwhelming when you have a huge supernatural fellow wielding a huge fantasy sword.
I suppose thats the reasoning for it not instadowning people in DBD like in SH2. I wish they would have found some other way to represent his body horror aspect though.

this work for ghostface?
Kinda, your chances increase if your wearing the red mask. I've caught out a few people with this, not very often though.

Another thing that most people also don't notice is that's not a sword, that's a knife. He's basically Myers on steroids.
I just looked it up and it looks like it would actually be classified as a sword judging by its length. That makes the name a little weird.

She's right there.
I've never seen something so obvious in my life.
I do actually have sight issues so idk if the joke is that there isn't one there or shes extremely hard to see lmao.

The animation wouldn't make any sort of sense, given the necessity to be rather quick.
Then they could make it more unique by giving it a longer startup but more range, kinda like Oni but at base.

He does an over head swing for his mini mori execution if that counts. Don't see how they can change the under arm bowl effect for M1 without compromising the executions value
I know, I just wish they would extend that to his normal smack.

Oh no, it can be for any reason you please my man. So long as it terrifies you to see. Like seeing a Lerys offering when playing Billy.

I think that's a pretty great idea, and I think they could expand the Ghost Face lisence to include an original survivor and map. We all know which survivor and which map, too.
I'd kill for Carl and a shopping Mart map.

I just want that Halloween 2018 outfit. Makes more people believe in the boogeyman
Agreed, a Withered Michael outfit is honestly my most wanted aesthetic. Perhaps they could even change his music to the 2018 renditions.

I want pig to have add-ons that change her RBTs to a different type of trap (like how Freddy can alter her power). Maybe a device alongside hooks where the pig can carry downed survivors and place them in? That would be cool.
That would be sick. Its not like it would take much effort since stuff like the shotgun collar and the Death Mask serve basically the same purpose as RBTs anyway.
-
That makes the entity the manager. The Killers employees trying to scam customers (survivors) out of hope. It all makes sense now.

We really don't know.
Some of the devs say the Killers are all in their separate realms, awaiting their next trial, unable to move from one realm to another until it is time to do so. Some of the devs say that the Killers are able to roam around freely and that Wraith and Nurse are in love.
I honestly believe that statement was made solely to legitimize the Wraith and Nurse Valentine's Day cosmetics they made, and it's the statement most people have snatched onto.
I don't, because cosmetics (besides the Legion, Blight and POSSIBLY Prestige) are not canon in my eyes. That is how I've treated them since their inception, and the more bizarre cosmetics that have been coming out recently (cough Greek collection cough) just continue to prove that.
Thats a little weird. This seems like a pretty big thing to not have an answer to. I hope the devs clear it up eventually. Thanks for the info.
-
Not big on hell raiser, but pinhead could be pretty cool.
-
Grey Big Foot said it well. I'd like to add that using cover when chasing someone in Wraith Shroud makes it way harder to reveal you. Try crabwalking to your target as well so you don't get caught by spinechill.

I agree too, keys are strong. I still think medkits are the strongest survivor item, but keys are close behind. I just don't love that keys always come up when someone calls for a Mori nerf. I don't think there's really any reason for that association to exist. I wouldn't be opposed to keys being changed a bit if it makes the community happy, but I don't personally think they're broken as is.
I disagree, I think keys are far in a way better than any other item, not only do they let survivors escape they come with they're own host of other buffs. I believe the the association should exist, because they are both things that should be changed that cause the same problem. I see where your coming from though.
-
That would be very disappointing.
-
Pyramid Heads is by far the best for me, I love the SH music.
I like Demos, Death Slingers, and Ghost Face.

Some killers have no counterplay. Spirit is guessing, so thats not counter play as your skill doesn't matter in that situation, and deathslingers spear is unreactable. If you don't get hit he missed. However, deathslinger is balanced, because he has low pressure. Spirit isnt as she has a mobility tool that doubles as the second best chase power in the game.(The best is SLB)
I never said I disagreed with the notion, I said I was tired of the posts.
-
God I hope, that would be sick.
-
"This killer has no counterplay and needs to be nerfed"
I just wish they'd stop.

Well. I honestly often thought to ask you to explain what SCP exactly is. For I am not one that knows much about it. And my ignorance leads me to feel it's much like Cabin in the Woods. But also Google fails to explain it well enough. 🤷♂️
Its nothing like cabin in the woods (Though that movie was very good). SCP is a website were people write and share horror stories about a fictional "Foundation" that has to secure, contain, and protect the world from anomalous entities. This can be something small and stupid like a toaster that makes you think your a toaster (SCP-426), A serial killer threat like a statue that can snap your neck when not looking at it (SCP-173), or a world ending monster (SCP-682). Think of it like creepypasta but all unionized under one theme with actual quality control and a series of successful video games.

As far as I know, SCPs are basically a common license and can be used by anyone. I don't think there would be a big need to secure licensing agreements on them. That said, the original authors could, IN THEORY, claim ownership of their writing, but the whole SCP archive is predicated on people releasing those kinds of rights when they submit new entries.
Once they become part of SCP, they leave the OG authors hands entirely, nothing they can do now but edit it. The difference between a SCP style chapter is that a deal would have to be struck with site admins so that the game could not be legally pirated, which is actually something CC makes happen for some reason. Hopefully that shouldn't be too big a problem though. I believe SCP blackout made a deal for it to be sold without enabling piracy.

Thats one of the nicest thing anyones ever said to me here lmao, thanks mate. I think I might have conjured this post, I thought outloud "I wish more people would talk about SCP more than just me" and this showed up like a minute later. Its like my reward for using insidious for anything other than camping lol.

Rule out Demo, his perks are okay but hes not a very good killer, theres no amazing perks on the survivor side of things either, plus its expensive. Ghost Face is cheaper and has the best perks but its just him. Freddy is an amazing killer with niche but usable perks, survivor side is still nothing special. And lastly the Silent Hill chapter, Pyramid Head is a strong and unique killer, but his perks kinda stink. The survivor side of things isn't awful this time around, soul guard is a decent perk.
Honestly I'd say pick the one that interests you most from a power or preference perspective.

They both are OP in the same way that a thunderstorm and a hurricane are both bad weather. Keys don't bother me as killer, since most matches they're irrelevant and even when they do get used they're just impacting the very end of the match; most of the match plays out normally, but you just end up with a 3k instead of a 4k. Occasionally you'll see 2 or 3 escape and occasionally those escapes come in matches survivors weren't going to win, but both at once is rare in my experience. When I pull that off as survivor it's usually in matches we were going to win anyway, and it rarely happens to me as killer.
Meanwhile, green and pink moris are relevant in nearly every match they're burned in. From the moment your first teammate gets Mori'd as survivor, that match is over unless the killer is a potato. And, unlike keys, you're still stuck there playing it out instead of getting to requeue. Survivors can do almost nothing to counter green and pink Moris. They are going to get used and the killer is going to either 4k or 3k + hatch unless they're bad or matchmaking screws them. On the other hand, killers have a wide variety of counters to keys: tunneling, Franklin's, Moris, keeping gens down so that the hatch only spawns for the last survivor, etc.
You make it sound like I didn't say "moris are definitely stronger overall". Of course everything you said is correct, however what other survivor items do you know of that let 2-3 kills escape without getting all gens done?
-
Hes sooooooooo boring, its asinine.
Edit: I was talking about Freddy, for some reason it didn't register the vote.
-
So is this an actual joke or a "Guys its totally just a joke" joke?
-
Probably MoM and Forced Penance. MoM sounds like the perfect Ash style perk to me if it was reworked right. Forced Penance punishing altruistic survivors sounds amazing but really isn't all that good.
-
Unbreakable and surprisingly, Blood Warden. I love the aspects of surprise for BW, the look on they're faces when they realize they're stuffed. I love getting back up with unbreakable near the gates, feels like a saw style twist to me, though it probably looks nothing like it.

Moris >>> keys. People keep trying to make an equivalence between them, but they really aren't at all the same.
If keys were as strong as moris, they'd be in the offering slot instead of the item slot, and they'd allow survivors to escape through the hatch once they finish a gen. Survivors could still bring toolboxes with BNPs because the key would be in the offering slot. Sound like fun?
And people still act like both aren't OP in the same way and shouldn't be brought up together. Moris are definitely stronger overall, but both keys and moris help the team achieve they're objective far easier than they should.
-
No Mither, it was designed to be hard mode.
-
I actually kind of like them, I run them since no one ever suspects them. Its so much fun to see how a survivor reacts when the door gets blocked in they're face.
-
You gotta get it hot and bothered before you can "Cleanse it" for being so naughty.
-
I use it sometimes, you can't really go wrong with it.
-
I feel like GF (I've talked about him a lot this past week) is the hardest beginner character for new survs. Since hes so simple most new players can get the hang of him quick, and his best counter is awareness, which is something new survivors don't normally have. So what I normally see is an instant exposed followed by a down. Bonus point is that because hes licensed hes less likely to be seen by new players, making matches against him rare and thus making it harder to get a feel for how one plays.
-
SCPs, named myself after it lmao. Jason would also be nice.

Right after grabs and optimization ;)
I'll take that, the framerate on consoles is disgusting and gen grabbing is basically just playing russian roulette. I hope they'll eventually get to it.

Best not to use DH to bait a swing because of latency. Try to use it to get that little bit of distance to reach a pallet or vault.
I guess I'll have to find a new perk then lol. I run DH because I like its mind gaming potential, I don't care much for the distance aspect.
