It's not going to help you. but so many people do it. any rank 1 survivors and killers I've played with or against are all selfish Try hards
The killers destroy a team and the survivors only look out for themselves
-
yeah. I do mean rank 1. I really don't care what my rank is and I'm just playing the game for fun and sometimes it feels that a lot of people on both sides can't do that. If I play survivor I get killers that need that 4K and make it impossible to do anything and when I play killer I get survivor teams that play arrogant and toxic making the game very frustrating. sure I'm not going to get the 4K all the time if at all but it sucks when you're played for a chump with every annoying trick in the book. blinding with pallet breaks and every attempt to stun ect.
-
I filled that out and tried to be as brutally honest as possible. I was especially critical of what behavior I found toxic and how I felt about certain killers. and survivors too.
-
If we're talking flashlights, lets mention the BS that is blinding while the killer is destroying a a pallet. I run into that so much and I'm not even looking at the beam and it works.
-
Very true. I've been trying to play both sides of late and it's really bad on both and I know it. Just had a game where I kept getting blinded while kicking a pallet. I'm not even looking at the flashlight and it works. you want toxic play that's pretty bad not to mention the tea bagging survivors. Sure I'm not the best killer in the game but I don't play like an #########. Typical DBD community. play toxic because you can. Both sides do it. I try not too and it's frustrating
-
fair enough it just seems odd that you get emblems and the offerings for more blood points in those sections don't reflect the new way things are.
-
I would have had a 4k with myers if the obsession didn't DC on my shoulder in a game a few weeks ago. I'm a casual killer so I really don't care if I get a 4K or not but still.
-
Saminations DBD parody voices for survivors and killers?
-
I miss getting all my struggle points if I was put on the hook before the previous person dies. I understand why it was changed but I considered it a punishment for a killer that rushes a game. not that big a deal just a comment

The hook timer paused while the Killer was in a certain radius of the hooked Survivor, so naturally, it was abused, one Survivor loops near hook while the others do gens. Prevents the other person from ever going into Struggle or Dying and there wasn't anything the Killer could do.
This was about two-ish years ago I think.
Interesting. I don't remember it but yeah that's pure BS at least it was tried and found to not work as intended

I think that ambiguity is very intentional. It feels to me like the entity directing the killer to a point of interest, which I think is really enough. It would also be a nerf to the almighty pebble if they were to change it, and we can't be having that!
I'm not 100% sure about the off-the-hook notification, but I don't ever remember it not being there. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention though and forgot how it used to be.
that makes sense I guess I just never noticed the unhook notification before. I don't play killer as often but I'm trying to do it more.

This has been tried before and it was HEAVILY abused.
If it has been tried and doesn't work that's cool I'm curious as to how it worked and how it was abused?
-
make notifications for actions for the killer more unique in sound and appearance. they all sound and look the same no matter what it is. sometimes I get confused as to what's really going on .
Also a lobby hint as to the killer survivors are about to face. As someone who plays both sides killers get to see who they're going to be dealing with and what they're brining in.
-
Theres an easy solution to face campers. If your standing right next to the hook the sacrifice timer won't progress. that would be my solution.

Maybe he just pig squeals to try to communicate with you :3
Leatherface could be considered OP though, that chainsaw is a one hit and pure BS. yes I know you have to know how to use it but when he can down two people with one attack it's insane. there should be a limit on that.
-
The DCs are running rampant right now. I've been getting them in both killer and survivor matches. I understand the frustration with moris. My big thing is that some of them really suck, so why waste them on killers that are no fun to see. Also getting killed after one hook feels like a huge ######### you from a killer. and ends your game way too fast. I had a killer that at least waited until the final hook to use it, I was dead either way. not all hidden killer offerings are moris
-
I missed out on the legacy skins too but they wouldn't be special if everyone had em
they look awesome
-
Can't say I'm a fan of the wraith either.
-
I hate playing against the hag. I don't know if she's over powered at her base but some of the builds are insanely annoying
- devour hope
- Third Seal
- Ruin
- BBQ
- silent traps
- fast teleporting
just kill me now

Honestly dont think them fixing the bloodweb would cause real problems, i can see every complaint being critiques, not full on complains, as in "this is better than it was but this needs to be fixed"
speaking of the bloodweb what items did those crazy blueprints replace? I get so many now it's not funny

all good

@Yords said:
Thank you for learning from your mistakes and becoming more understanding of the other side instead of being an overly entitled toxic survivor lol there are too many of them.
the over entitlement is bad on both sides. some killers just kick the ######### out of you and call you bad. and they do the most aggravating things.

Fringe.
Could have a third school map but this time college.
The Porcupine Man could make a fun killer. He's a genetic experiment designed to be an evolution of man. All the same smarts but with some enhancements. There are two versions one can fly the other cannot. Could work in a pallet hop like legions slide if TPM isn't fully evolved. He could be able to hop up to higher level areas without a railing. If you want to tail him to sneak to hook under his radar he has spines on his back you could be injured by if he knows and tricks you into getting closer than you should. If only partially evolved he needs massive amounts of energy in food and will seek out fat to power its evolution. It could allow an Oni like mechanic to gain more abilities but stays like meyers EW2. TPM transformation is painful and he is violent. He would be suffering while causing suffering and that sounds like the entity could enjoy it. With claws and wings maybe he could be waiting on a wall someplace ready to drop down on someone. I'd think it should be an instadown but it would feel OP. Maybe a sneaky stealthy hit without the speed boost to compensate for waiting up there.
Survivor(s)
Olivia Dunham.
Would be a good way to get a female law enforcement character. She was experimented on a little as a child. It has given her some abilities and the full depth of could be limitless. Some telekinetic control could give a perk to remotely drop a nearby pallet. She can take control of other peoples actions possibly lending them some small speed boost while doing something with a progress bar and skill checks. It could go to the person she saved most recently. I would suggest sacrificing gen speed for healing speed as it would be nearest cannon. She has other abilities as well but with the show it is known there is at least one other universe so any adjustments can be chalked up to that.
You could really pull a lot from this show and considering how it ended but was something people were fond enough of to get an extra partial season to wrap up it has some popularity. Peter Bishop could be another survivor but I'm having trouble crafting possible perks for him. Walter Bishop a mad scientist type could be snuck into the lore. He's made his own universe and can interrogate dead people among many other things and I think there is a lot to work with.
I agree with Fringe. I loved that show sure some of the episodes were meh but over all it was awesome.
-
oh so you didn't walk into the pallet stun? wow people are just crazy when looking for things to hate.

any of the crazy monsters from Cabin in the woods.
-
oh and a quick question, why wont the forum let me start things in general discussions anymore? It makes me select a category and none of them are this.
-
I honestly think they're doing it backwards. They're adding a penalty for switching out of rights of Judgment to hit with basic attacks because people use Punishment of the damned so much, yet they're making you recover faster from the thing they're trying to balance in the first place. shouldn't the penalty come from using the ranged attack not from just marking the ground?
-
I was playing a game with someone that DC'd for not liking a killer and their reason? they thought it was BS and didn't want them to get the sacrifice points. the thing they didn't realize was that if you DC on a hook they still get the points anyway. what they need to do is think of a way to sperate intentional DC's and the game kicking you out. that's the only way I'm ever DC'd
The issue is that the game can't separate an intentional DC from a game error and you get punished regardless.

I'm no FNAF superfan but I'd like to see an animatronic robot Killer for a change, but with it would come another indoors map. 🙄
Oh, also, Scooby-Doo Chapter with Shaggy as the survivor, YEET.
We need Shaggy in Mortal Kombat first though.
-
I don't bully killers at all if I can help it. As someone who doesn't play killer as often I see both sides of it. A lot of it comes from getting games where a killer destroys you and calls you trash, when you're given no breathing room at all and they use very powerful perks that you know if they didn't have them they wouldn't be as good.
Don't get me wrong I know they earned them and both sides have perks that can stack a game against the other. actually had a wraith that had zero perks and still played really well gave him props for it even if he didn't say anything back. It can be eye for an eye sometimes too. if Killers are going to be toxic so will I and vice versa.
-
I may be in a minority but I'd like to see Kayako from the grudge in here. just that sound she makes is creepy enough and hearing that behind you would be crazy. I'm not going to ask and beg for DLC's especially licensed ones because that can't be cheap. I'm just along for the ride.
-
when it comes to playing the game it helps me to destress while playing if I try to put the voices that Sam gave some of the killers in the DBD parodies. it makes it a little less annoying when playing either side.

BE giving killers an advantage? Who knew? You took away one of the things that made this map unique. Tall weeds! BE does everything that benefits the killer. That has been proven with every update. I'm getting sick of it.
The corn on the farm is pretty damn tall, what I want to know is why do we have an offering to go to coldwin farm when you get that map a lot by default anyway.
-
Even when you play a killer the new sound is quite unless you're right next to the gen being worked on. I don't really see it as a buff for killers and just annoys survivors
-
The shape because it was the first licensed one.
-
I don't see pointing out bugs as backlash. voicing my dislike for them adding something annoying that no one asked for is just that. At times it does feel like they don't think before they do things, they just throw things at the wall to see what will stick.

So one of us actually brings up the problem the other ignores it and acts like it’s fine that’s all you’re saying
that's pretty much DBD in a nutshell, you bring up an issue most don't care and the others say get good.

Everyone always jumps on pennywise for the Steven King inclusion. But I always thought Jack Torrance as killer, Wendy as survivor, and the overlook hotel/maze garden as the map would be a much better fit for dbd. Especially with breakable walls now being a thing.
Loved seeing another person consider it too.
I never even thought of Jack Torrance. That would work great for DBD they could even make an overlook map. and him breaking down doors with his axe would fit as well. and he's crazy and kinda trapped in his own realm to begin with.

Have you played as killer in Red / Purple? Finishing the game early is almost a guaranteed depip and at most brutal killer. If you finish in less than 3 or even 5 minutes you'll barely get 20k bp and if you're lucky 15k.
Mind you yes this has been an issue with survivor for a while. They have to do individual task to play optimally but they are punished if they don't spread out their work. My honest opinion is either survivors should get a 10% bonus based on the performance their teammates did in each category (So 30% total) which would be rewarded post game even if you went on to the next game OR just overall increases to BP. Granted the post game reward I'd only give if a survivor lasted until the gates were powered to avoid people suiciding on hook and still being rewarded.
This is if we're talking BP. If we're talking emblems the survivor emblem scoring system is already generous regardless of how you play.
Ranks shouldn't even matter in this game, I know it's meant put players of similar skill together but right now that system isn't even working. I don't give a damn what rank I have. sure I want to move up but it's not the end game for me. once you reach rank 1 and get the achievement for it what does it matter anymore?

The rip-cord engine revving noise would be fine if it was done a single time when a generator is being touched for the first time at 0% and again around 95~99% percent. It's when each generator makes repeated heeving lawnmower noises on a short loop while the survivor touches 2 wires together that it's like "Why are our headsets being attacked?"
yes that would be fine. at least it would sound like a generator rather then a car with a shot starter.
-
I was playing a round as a killer and the game just wouldn't load. we got to the match and then the game wouldn't even try to load.
-
that makes sense. I understand why some don't want to play killer though, I try to play both sides and as a killer you're bound to this fake rule book or you're going to get people disconnecting and rage quitting because they don't want you to get the points. so it's frustrating on both sides.

I don't care.
See in all other games bming is part of the game and I do not care whether the other team has fun in other games, be it dota, tekken or whatever I do play. It is hilarious to wipe a team in dota and taunt afterwards or spraypaint "LOOOSER!" after they just died or put on a voiceline for everybody to hear which just mocks them.
Really in dbd, yeah sometimes I do feel bad like when it is a baby killer or baby survivors (mmr good times) but yeah in the end i do not care and dont really see why I should. Because I think people are not little children and to lose a game is just that and not the end of the world. Somehow people here care whether or not the other person had fun. It is just an odd concern, i know some will tell me i am jerk but do keep in mind, I like to play the game, i want to win. I enjoy my wins and loss as well and I am fine with people mocking me for failing. I mean as long as you can laugh about your own fails, are people telling me they never made a stupid move and laughed about it because it was so dumb? Yeah but oh god other people are not allowed to laugh about it too.
Stop treating people like little kids, one bad game and they will leave. Yeah well okay so get lost and play tetris if you do not ragequit that as well once you lose. To lose is part of the game, i assume people are having fun otherwise they would play something else. 🤷♀️
this right here is why the game is so toxic. It's not about treating people like kids it's about people getting enjoyment out of something they paid for. Real completion comes from an even playing field where all players have the same ability and some are just better then others. This game is nothing like that. If you enjoy doing the things you mentioned in competitive games, try going and playing a real sport, winning a game and then tea bagging the other team and taking the line maker and painting Losers on the field. See how far that gets you.

You won't get much points as the killer either when you finish the game fast and one-hook everyone. Also, it's ridiculously easy for survivors to get full-cap objective points, since they get a massive boost when working at a gen together. For the other categories, yes you have to do something. But when the killer performs good (not stomping you), you will get plenty of opportunity to be in a chase or unhook / heal someone. If you prefer to rush gens, and the killer struggles to hook anyone, then your BP will be less, of course. But thats for the killer aswell.
True, however the amount of killers who stomp you is extremity high.

It was extremely quiet before. When you're engaging in a chase near the gen, you can't hear it at all.
I have survivors popping a gen just besides me when i'm chasing other survivors in that area, and i don't even know it's being worked on.
Sure if you play stealth killer, you can hear it. Otherwise, no. So it's actually needed.
But i wouldn't mind if they change it again to suit both sides
That's a fair argument too. not being able to hear during a chase is a music issue it's loud for sure.

If you allow yourself to get into that position, then that's on YOU.
It's just a game and ranks don't mean anything. Take the L and move on.
Some killers can't do that, neither can some survivors, having played both sides it's very equal treatment.
