The most obvious would be a % bonus shard for every subsequent level.
Like 1 devotion = 10% more shards. -

SoonTM.
I don't believe they gave any date. The patch is very likely waiting for Sony and Microsoft to verify the content of dbd patch, which is totally out of control of the dev's control. Why on Earth are they even releasing it at the same time. Just have the certification ready so that they can be released at the same time. The devs had plenty of time to start it, then it wouldn't be out of the devs control, which is ridiculous, as they should be able to decide when they release their update for their game.
Devs choice.
As far as I know, the last time a similar situation happened, Microsoft released the patch without even asking BHVR to confirm, which was fun times.I imagine they do that in case of the patches not being certified for X reasons, so they don't delay the PC release furthermore due to console, since this game is originally made for PC and not for consoles.

So the fact they're even delaying the anniversary event and double bp for console is pure coincidence and not consideration, right ?

Gatekeeper : why not.
Malicious : I believe we already talked about that, but what you lose in malicious, you gain in chase.
Chaser : not a real problem except for MMLightbringer : I heavily disagree. Points should being split up. Grouping up shouldn't generator more points, as a solo survivor actually doing more work than 2 people would actually get penalized with less points even tho he spent more time repairing, which is stupid.
Unbroken : Fine as it is considering most rounds are super short anyway
Evader : Fine as it is considering the genrush meta going on. It makes people to want to take risks and evaluate, which is a good thing. Unless you want even more gen rushing that is.Malicious: Switching one emblem for another makes no sense. Since a perfect play requires 3 emblems to be iridiscent and the last one gold. All emblems should be equally easy or hard to obtain.
Right now the easiest way to pip is to tunnel and to camp. Both things are considered unfun.Lightbringer: right now working together on a gen gives bonus BPs but fewer Emblem points. That´s not intuitive at all. Since the additional points suggest that the players are doing the right thing to get the emblem, while they do the exact opposite
Evader: what has being rewarded for playing stealthy to do with gen rush?
The only way to have even more gen rushing, would be to bring 4 toolboxes + BNP.
But the time it takes right now to do all 5 gens is simply to short.Malicious : Hard to tell, some killers are better at chasing than others, so that statement is weird to begin with.
Lightbringer : I don't mind if it's not intuitive. You shouldn't penalize people that repair solo over ppl that repair as a group.
Evader : it's pretty simple, it will allow super quick rounds (aka BNPs, and strong toolboxes) to borderline double pip with 0 efforts, which is the opposite of what devs actually wanted doing this emblem, since they want to reward interactions with the killer, where the actual skill matters (and you can stealth while interacting with the killer, and that's why it rewards points to be in the TR), not to give Iri emblems to that guy that did stand at the opposite of the map the whole round because one guy of his team is able to loop for 5mins, and will very likely depip from that, which would make 0 sense.
Chaser: With the current system. A chase is considered over, even if the killer sees the survivor and is running in the direction of the survivor. Slower killers, or those that rely on traps or stalk are penalized. A survivor who steps into a beartrap doesn´t get the killer chase points.
Lightbringer: it´s not penalizing. Right now, survivors which work together on a gen are penalized. This makes no sense. Working as a team is penalized. It shouldn´t be like this.
Evader: but that´s exactly what the name implies. The survivor avoided all contact with the killer. He evaded him. Right now the emblem should be renamed to "looper" because that playstyle gets the most points in this emblem. The guy who looped the killer for 5 minutes gets way more points than the guy who evaded the killer. Maybe increase the radius to make it count, or increase the numbers. But i don´t want to run behind the killer, in the hope to get some evader points. Because then i´m searching the confrontation instead of evading.
Chaser : this is simply not true, for a simple reason : if you down someone after "losing him" and "finding him again", you get more chaser points than if you get a consistent chase of "90s" since you do not mecanically "drop the chase".
A chase less than 15s is 90 points, which is way more than a chase of 45s+, so this part is actually beneficial to killers. I agree with traps tho.Lightbringer : atm, survivors which work together do have a 10% malus in repair speed, which is negigible (and compensated by the BP), if you make the double repair to give bonuses, you'll penalize solo player over a 80+% ratio, which is definitely unfair since they do the exact same work.
Evader : it's simply not what devs want. You can either survive and hide and not take the risk, and in this case, you get higher survival but less emblems, or take actual risks and try to do stuff related to the killer, which can provide more BP and more emblems, especially, which is fine to me.
Here you go, a video of Marth88 doing a perfect game, but he gets penalized for his chases.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMoABxTnbx0"Wow, a single pip instead of a double pip"
Sorry but it's getting a bit pushy right there.
Especially considering how irrelevant ranks are.Its not about the double pip. Its about the emblem.
But you´re right, why pip anyway, since ranks don´t matter.Welp, what I see is, chaser, in some rare cases, can prove less rewarding (tho you still usually get very rewarded in other categories). I'm a billy player, I usually get silver chaser at most rounds, and I find it rather sufficient compared to the chasing I actually have to do when I play other killers, while I just insta-down people with him.
I can understand tho, that it could prove somewhat problematic with characters like leatherface since he's rather weak, and the odds are stacking against him, but still, giving rewards for a double hit because of a one shot would be really rewarding for things such as NOED and such, and could allow easy pip to facecampers into noed. You could, of course, apply the distinction between powers and NOED, but the lack of consistency could prove weird

There's a BP cap to prevent bots to be overly effective.
At some point, back then, the game was swarmed with farming bots, and the limit was 500k due to them.
Now that they fixed the bots, they pushed it to 1M which is sufficient, and allows prestiging to still be a commitment, rather than "Hey, I prestige but it doesn't cost me anything since I put 4M BP in my survivor again and I cna play him again" -

10 days max certification so it should have released by now yet magical game it’s ‘still in certification’ BHVR are lyingSo you mean they're actually gonna put like, half their playerbase in trouble "just for fun and because they hate them" ?
It doesn't make any sense.Just be patient dude, a few days is nothing grevious.

You're aware that the delay is due to microsoft/sony and not BHVR right ?

It's not the lunge itself, but the actual cone.
What is the cone to-say? Well, because of the lovely peer-to-peer servers and hitboxes being total crap in this game, the devs implemented a cone for the killers basic attack. Meaning, if you're inside of this cone when they attack is initiated, it will count as a hit.
Opinionated, but for some reason, The Pig and Freddy are always able to hit outside of a window MUCH FURTHER than The Nurse or Trapper. I'm always hit after a vault and downed with these characters, evidently if they were another Killer I wouldn't of because of the cone. They would've hit the wall of the window. It's frustrating and annoying, you should only be able to hit mid-vault, not after when the vault has been performed. It seems like the opportunity is only given to The Pig or Freddy unless you're just standing directly infront of the window.
The cones are the exact same for all killers. No exception.
The range is eventually different, due the fact it's tied to movement speed. You guys are just spreading myths, because your perception is wrong due to the fact you play against smaller killers.
Hold up hold up hold up.
No, because not every killer has the exact same lunge and size.
Simply putting an opinion out there with being opened to being proven wrong. Not spreading myths, but being open to a discussion. There's a difference mate.
That being said, due to the cone, if positioned properly through a window, it can hit the survivor regardless of the Killer. That's cleared up.
And it's facts that some Killers weapons don't even touch a survivor but register as a hit. Because of the cone. So yes, it's present, and seems to just raise brows as to how a hit registers when you aren't touched by the weapon. It's called crappy coding if you ask me.
Edit: Yeah, because hit boxes were so broken they implemented a cone instead.
It's not crappy coding, it's just game mecanics.
The lunge range is directly tied to the base movement speed of the killer.
Pig/Trapper/Freddy/Billy/LF/Doctor/Wraith/MM EW2 do share the exact same lunge. It's just facts, and has been stated countless times by devs now, and is easily verified in game. Just get used to the usual range of the killers, rather than your perceptions. And yes, being small in this game is deceptive, which is a good advantage to have as a killer such as pig or Freddy.
Tho you can keep spreading myths such as "Pig has longer lunge" or "Freddy has more range and a bigger cone" as much as you want, it won't change the facts. Now you're changing subject and adding "you can get hit through windows", which no one denied, since windows are... windows, and no walls. So yeah, you can get hit through them. It's not ######### up, it's a... window, you know ?
I'll just give the details about how a hit works just to stop the myth spreading, as explained countless times by devs :
When you start hitting with a killer, there's a detection cone, that detects survivor in the area of effect. If it finds a target, it locks the camera on that person, and 0,3s later, if the target is still there, the hit do connect (which is why you can miss a chainsaw rush on a sprint-bursting survivor).
The cone is the same width for every killers, and the exact same length.
That being said, the LUNGE RANGE is different depending on the killer, and the distance you perform by lunging is directly tied to your DEFAULT movement speed.
Myers EW1 do have a very poor lunge, then Nurse, then Hag/Huntress have slightly lower lunge distance due to their lower base movement speed, and then, all the other killers do have the same lunge range and cone (with EW3 myers having slightly more reach)Not sure how it can be clearer than this.
Nobody is disagreeing with you. Not once did anybody say you're wrong...
I'm simply stating what was an opinionated subjective statement, nobody is spreading myths in this thread period.
Also, it is frustrating when you're decently over the window and get a lucky down because the killer managed to hit properly because they timed the cone-hit right.
Jeez, this is a discussion. People are just discussing things, nobody spreading anything but stating what they think. Glad you're there to clear it all up with your very poor attitude.
I.e Hag's cone would be then smaller due to her lunge. Her cone wouldn't hit as far as it would for The Pig/Trapper/etc because of her movement speed. How is it the same length if her lunge is smaller? That means her cone would hit outside of her given lunge and the same range as the base movement speed. That's mathematically incorrect.
The cone size is unrelated to the range of the lunge, simply.
Hag has a shorter lunge, but the same cone.
Basically, she cannot reach as far as some other killers, but the width of the cone and its length once the hit happens are the same. It's just that she doesn't dash as far as others while holding M1, basically. This is why a Hag can hit you as far as other killers when behind a windows, but cannot perform a long enough lunge if you're in movement, in some cases
All in all, if she has some invisible cone hitting you, its unfair
All in all, she deserves the same lunge than other killers, so it's not unfair.
If you come this way, David should be bigger than other survivors, and you should be able to hit them from further away. Would you consider it fair ?
No. Of course not. Because you like David.Guess what ? People like Pig too.
This isn't about David.
But this is the exact same issue : hitboxes, animations and size.
"It doesn't look like I want, so it should be different".
This is just not a smart request and you know it.Look you're missing the point. Nobody said anything about "it doesn't look like i want" it's about fairness in order to know when to dodge something, not give a killer this extended invisible hit box because shes small
Look like you missed the point : she has the same hitbox than any other killer, and reducing it wouldn't do any good. Just get used to it and the regular killer range.

They actually changed quite a few maps in the last patch.
Shelter woods got greatly changed for example, amongst other maps.Overall the game is still survivor sided tho, for sure.
i wouldn't know. i'm on a console....
They did add a lot of tall rocks in several maps, added vision breaking objects around a lot of maps. You'll notice pretty soon.
Tho, the map that actually had issues such as Haddonfield/Swamp and Bedham, didn't get changed that much. (at all, except for a very few pallet tweaks)
-
None of these changes are QoL tho. They're buffs.
Not sure if she deserves a longer TP range.
I do agree about flashlights tho. -

Viable ? No. Fun ? Possibly. Mostly for survivors tho.
-
I'd simply prefer maps to be balanced overall, rather than making a few maps to be overly painful.

The whole point of this forum was not to make a difference between PC and console players.

1. It's a 4v1 game. This is kinda normal that a "1" power has slightly more impact.
2. Devs consider WGLF to give stacks in a way easier fashion. A single team bodyblocking + rescuing can actually gain 4 stacks in a very quick succession.1) BBQ’s boost compared to WGLF is a metric ######### ton more than slight. 2) Solo survivors choices dictated by SWF sucks yet again. And its over a BP perk no less. Why? Just why? Just give it a small bonus or increase bloodpoint gain.
I would rather them to simply remove all the BP bonuses and make them eventually passives, and make perks to be actual mecanics. Allocating a perk for BP isn't fun, especially since you feel forced to do so.
I tend to repeat that since the release of these perks but people seems to like the concept of BP perks for some reasons, which is dumb considering you could actually get these BP bonuses as passives and get actual fun stuff to equip instead to make the game more interesting, and not to force you into a 3-perk builds for both sides. -
He does if you have quick thinking and proper positioning.
If you hesitate, they'll just leave the spot and run to the next juking spot. -
Try to find your basement.
Setup around gens (juking spots around gens, not gens directly) and looping spots around your basement.
Catch someone and basement him.
Stay around and wait for people to suicide as they try to rescue. -
Not a new idea, but not too bad.
Tho I can't even imagine how many bugs are gonna happen with this. -
A casual perk, used for casual plays. Won't work in any decently competitive match as you cannot consistently hook + run away from the hook + protect your totem without extreme luck.

If they DC 35% of their games, they get temporary banned.a 35% D/C rate is enough to ruin an entire game tho. And as far as I'm concerned, you need to have that ratio over a GOOD NUMBER OF matches to eventually get a 1 day ban, which leaves plenty of room to actually ruin HUNDREDS of matches before getting actual punishments.
D/Cing should just have more penalties atm.

Have been reported for ages.
It's basically due to the fact that the hit only happens 0,3s after the hit detection, and that difference makes the hit to actually miss since the target is going "too fast" and is not here anymore once it happens due to the speed boost.Devs are well aware, is all I can tell you, considering how many times I repeat this and show them daily footage of that issue.

He barely didn't change since release.
Had a few tweaks here and there. Still the most balanced killer in the game. -

I'll drop that here.
Enjoy.I heavily doubt it can get any better than this.

Not the first time.
They get banned in waves. -

Both roles are pretty equal when it comes to pipping difficulty.
Since the last patch, depipping as survivor became nearly impossible tho, while it's still very possible as killer.
But it's not an issue, since there were matchmaking issues.well do u play killer or survivor because i play both and i actually try to depip by using no perks because its boring at high rank but i barely ever do. Meanwhile in survivor games 50% of games are BS games where i'm camped by insidious, or my teammates don't save me, or the killer finds me at the start. The worst thing is i can last a while in a chase and all these ######### killers think that's a reason to tunnel me more so they chase me all game and get me at the very end only for my team to leave without me. if anything being a good survivor is bad for this new system because we're the ones who ene up in a chase all game weather we like it or not and we dont pip for it
I Play both, and I usually find hard game easy to safety/pip as survivor, while as killer, I either barely safety, or double pip.
-
They'd rather put all perks to be uncommon/rare/very rare and call it a day tbh.
-
I'd prefer something else.
Let's take an example : Ruin.
Give ruin the exact same effect than it has now, but add one more feature :
The guy cleansing the totem do have 30% more repair speed, but other people do have -10% repair speed. This way, people will actively hunt for the totem to get the buff for themselves, but would still have to break it stealthly/not get caught afterward because dying in that situation could prove problematic for the team to some extent.
Now that would be interesting.
-
Because survivors are 4, and the killer is 1. Which immediatly gives them more rights.
-
What about this balanced suggestion :
When you hook a survivor, as killer, you lose point, and the survivor is teleported at the exit gates with 32k BP as a bonus for the trouble.Killers aren't babysitters, and camping is part of the game and necessary considering how quick survivors are able to recover if you let them unchecked.
-
I agree with at least 2.
1 and 3 are debatable and would make the perk stronger, which could be good if it proves too weak. I didn't try it enough to say. -

Pls. -

All killers run at 115% speed. Only exceptions to this rule are Hag, Huntress, and Nurse. (And EW1 Myers)Jesus, your dreaming they don't, 1 trapper, 2 Michael Myers, Leatherface hillbilly without the chainsaw are the fastest without perks and with them they are like freight trains ready to run you down,
I get that English isn't your first language, so I'm going to give you a pass on this one.
I'm talking about their default walking speed, not their lunge or p
I get it your a RACIST and white thinking that your comment is funny but it's insulting, my ancestors all was born on this side of the world you and yours are illegal aliens did you know that Britain let go all the criminals they had in jail and send them here to my country so most likely your grand parents was all degenerate criminals and the sins of the fathers are pass down to their children that why you are you to this day, and that's why you think your better and your not your just a loser like the rest of us, more so I'm going to give you a pass on this one just one insult you get just one, ok I heard about in-breeding I see it now have a nice day God bless you
I’m gonna day what everyone WANTS to say to you.
You are a complete, and utter JOKE! You have no idea what you’re talking about. You have no recourse, and can’t even form an intelligent argument beyond, “what I say is true because my ego is massive”. You are a racist that pulled the race card (seriously that’s downright pathetic, you should be ashamed of yourself). Now why don’t you never do what you did again? Also, because I can’t help but plunder irony, if he’s a white person, and that makes him bad because “sins of the father” doesn’t that mean it’s not the devs fault the game is bad? And if it is, doesn’t that mean you are just single hand-idly throwing those accusations because you are cornered?
Cease and Dissist at once. And I dare you to try the race card on me, and figure out what race I am.
Kek, annnnd real talk started.
Too bad this guy isn't even worth it. -
A survivor totally deserves to live, even if it comes to RNG.
You missed the whole original concept of this game :
sacrificing others to get yourself an easier escape is totally coherent with the lore of the game, and that's even why the hatch exist.
There's nothing to "deserve" or "not deserve" in this game, it's a matter of choice, and letting your teammates to die in order to have an easier escape for yourself is LEGIT, even if you're pretty bad at the game.Additionally, Left Behind is WAY too situational to be used consistently, so no one will pick it, for obvious reasons.

Possible perk, pick 4 of the following :
Ruin (Strongly advised)
Nurse's calling (Strongly Advised)
Unnerving/Distressing/Overcharge (For 3 gen strategies)
NOED (Always efficient overall)
Brutal Strength/Enduring (If you want stronger chases)About the general tips :
Use extended range add-ons, but not the best ones since they increase the charge time by a lot.
Try to find the sweet spot between range and effectiveness, and try to shock as people are about to drop the pallet, either if you want them to early drop the pallet to break it, or if you want them not to be able to drop due to the shock, so you can swap to punishment mode and hit them.Don't start in treatment mode until you get in position, try to make the best of the first screams you get to find survivors out of position, away from pallets if possible to get the initial hit.
Don't shock too much during a chase, except if you get a survivor stuck behind a small wall where you can hit everytime to get him Madness 3.
Shock strategically afterwise, mostly to prevent pallet/vault plays. Keep training at doing it, and eventually, stay in punishment mode. Don't forget that shocking do prevent the bloodlust mecanic that can be very helpful in a chase.Don't forget one of the main feature of doctor : you can grab survivors while in treatment mode if they try to unhook. Even if they feint, you'll grab, since it doesn't force a hit. Just tap m1 quickly.

Never, facecamping is unnefficient.
You're better to start hard camping instead, to at least get people to think you may leave while you aren't. -
If you don't want to waste 1 hour, just hit, goddamnit.
Stop being so stuborn. -

The only thing he could use, is some tools to improve his map pressure. His bottles are already great for the chases.
That applies to every Killer that isn't Billy or Nurse.
Pretty much.
Devs kinda forgot that aspect of the game since the release of the game it seems.
