All tokes are bs you know why? Making killer 110 means he needs better power ( good exsample is spirit or henry) so if he would loose all thats too hard nerf just make him 4,4 because his power is realy strong and make him loose like 2 tokes thats same as breaking pallet with just dashes and he would be perfect high tier killer just like billy.

See anything along this lines is all I want from the high mobility, I don't want them to lose the identity I just want them to have some kind of breathing room.

  • I'd love more pants for gabriel, I know he has a summer outfit but I'd love another one, he is a handsome guy give him lots of outfits!

Male survs getting more outfits is always nice

  • Considering the increase is bringing in more players, I really don't think they'll double the requirements that sounds insane, they'd get roasted.

  • its on the Quality of life initiative road map like Mooks said

  • Can I just say this killer now plays like buttcheeks on controller.

Like it's REALLY, REALLY bad, you need to work on how the camera controls.

Also on that note the new ui is also really awful to navigate on controller. You need to do better for killer on controller in general, it's gross.

  • I dream of a shorter CD for Unknown, it's so punishing. I really want to play as them more, they are so much fun when it goes right.

it's such a simple change and it'd give them so much breathing room.

Yeah, having the highest Pickrate and one of the highest Killrates is a good indicator that changes are needed. If only one of them is high, it also means that you might think about changes, but it is more nuanced there. E.g. Krasue has the highest Killrate, because she is unpopular but has some dedicated mains who are good with her (and she is strong). This can point to making her more fun to play. Springtrap has one of the highest pickrates, since FNAF has a massive fanbase. There it depends on the Killrate if Buffs are needed.

But having both very high just screams for changes.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4067498#Comment_4067498

Yeah, it is honestly sad what BHVR has done there. And even more sad that it all was intentional. Anime was a controversial topic in DBD, there was a significant number of people who did not want to have Anime in the game. And since they want to sell their chapter, they had to give those people a reason to buy the chapter. The result is a very easy to play Killer which is also one of the strongest Killers. Meanwhile, they did not even have to bother with making Springtrap actually strong (he is decent, but nobody would think about putting him in the Top 10, maybe not even Top 20), because they knew that the Chapter will sell regardless.

And honestly, I also feel that you dont really do a favor to Killer players with making Ghoul braindeadly easy and so strong. I see more and more players where I am very sure that they only know how to play Ghoul. P100 Ghouls with a low amount of hours. And I think it is not really helpful that those players learn how to play the game with one character and whenever they switch to a different character, they will not really perform well, because a) they are at a too high MMR and b) the Killer is most likely weaker and harder to play than Ghoul, which will result in frustration.

I also cannot really blame people who DC against Ghoul. I would not do it myself, but when I face the 4th Ghoul in a row, my enjoyment of playing the game is really low and I will probably quit for the evening. Even if it was a very positive experience before.

Yeah that's what I was getting at, like I don't even have an issue with Krasue at this point for example.

Ghoul is one of the best selling killers/cosmetics, which is funny because Tokyo Ghoul might as well be a dead franchise.

Forgive me for the possibly toxic opinion, I swear most of the "fans" come from the fact they have clung to how strong they were, barely heard anyone I know talk about Tokyo Ghoul before this, it wasn't relevant and the friends I know who watched it all agree the anime was awful after season 2. Plus have to bare in mind a lot of younger players weren't old enough for when it was a current ongoing anime too.

I think BHVR need to stay well away from Hyper Mobility killers from here on, also nerf the ones who still exist in the game severely. Perk design, map design, killer balance in general is suffering so long as these exist IMO. IDC if the stats dont reflect it for Blight/Nurse (there is actually room for error on them, but it still doesnt excuse people are able to get well over 100 win streaks on said killer).

I'd rather focus on encouraging killer variety, fixing bugs, buffing the underused, AND NOT CONDITIONING THAT GHOUL SHOULD BE THE BALANCE STANDARD. I dont care if I'm using caps, like they don't know the damage they are doing to their playerbase by keeping it like this.

A more emotionally charged take, but honestly I hope they are listening. Please for goodness sake deal with high mobility.

  • Yeah that's happened to me a lot this patch, annoying coz I want to see what builds who I play with have, coz its fun seeing others ideas

  • @ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:

Highest picked survivor overall is sable because boobs and sexy outfits. Highest picked licensed survivor is lara because boobs and sexy outfits. Maybe we just need more boobs and sexy outfits.

On the other hand licensed survivors suffer from lack of "variety". My first main was Rebecca. She still is never getting a new outfit besides the 1 recolour since her launch. Therefor next to no customization - for the entire game's lifespan. But pick any original amd they all have atleast 8-30 options by now, making them harder to get bored of with consecutive matches.

Infact most of my 8 mains beside skull merchant, are all licensed characters that rarely ever recieve anything new, with the exception of xeno for some reason. (rebecca/xeno/trevor/dracula/ghoul/lara/aestri/skull merchant)

My biggest main survivor would be Trevor Belmont. But would you believe i actualy hate Trevor. And couldnt care less about Alucard. What i wanted from castlevania was just Simon Belmont, and Shanoa. Both were "considered" enough to be tossed in as cosplays but not worth the time to bring in as full legendaries. So i hate Trevor just because he was chosen of all the Belmonts. And Alucard was chosen just because he was the dev's favorite. Then after begging for a year and so on for Shanoa atleast, they throw in probably one of the worst legendaries theyve ever done visually - Richter Belmont. Looks nothing like ANY of the source material and they ignored all feedback.

So i know what u mean by venting how the licenses you love were treated lol. My duo was so excited for the walking dead, couldnt stand playing the characters because of the sound quality - which was also feedback ignores to this day.

I know what you are getting at but Claire/Jill/Leon/Ada/Chris are thirsted over heavily in the RE fandom, so that's why it doesnt really make sense here, I know why it is, it's because they look awful in comparison to their actual selves for the reasons i listed, Resident Evil is essentially the biggest seller of like any horror game franchise ever, so if they just put actual effort into the survivors they'd probably keep the RE fans lol.

And as for Castlevania I absoloutley agree they should have done Shanoa as a Legendary, Richter is so tragic and the Silent Hill cast looking so broken also makes me really sad. I just wish they didn't ignore feedback don't even let us refund them when we try to get fixes for them, so upsetting at times.

What's upsetting is like my main: Claire, has been broken for like 2 or 3 patches too

IDK its an emotionally charged rant, it's just clear they aren't retaining fanbases like RE, they could do a lot better to do so.

  • I'll take anything that keeps his identity but makes him feel more fair to play against honestly

  • I'd play more killer honestly, as the bp bonuses would be nice

My point is, that Deadlock and Fast Track are not comparable. Deadlock only blocks generators for a short time, whereas Fast Track, no matter how much or how little time it removes, is PERMANENT PROGRESS. Once Fast Track has been used on a generator, there is NOTHING a killer can do beyond a certain point. Deadlock? Hide near the generator for a bit until it unlocks or go cleanse a hex totem or something.

However, I no longer care. I am now using and loving Fast Track, especially in the Blood Moon Event, and I know that's going to make some survivors foam at the mouth, but I I know how to use it to my advantage and the killer's disadvantage, even in the Blood Moon Event.

But they are comparable, I literally just compared them. So no lol

They both give a benefit to an enemies objective being complete, that's the comparison

  • I feel like all of the silent hill cast deserve this, the way they look is awful

  • The new stats prove they need changes lol actually really sick of them

  • Yeah it seems like an obvious one

The game no longer has so few killers that it is unacceptable to have killer bans, likewise there are so many perks that perk bans within reason make sense as well. it wouldn't meddle with the actual matchmaking process to add even soft bans to the game before queuing similar to how DOTA does it now where you can select five heroes you do not want to see and there is a CHANCE the game will not allow them into the game but you can still encounter them. as for denying people their favorite killers, it wouldn't… it would just not match people who have that killer banned (or in the case of soft bans probably not match) into a game with that killer. and it would actually be good data for Behavior, whichever killers are getting ban selected overwhelmingly probably have an issue that needs to be resolved, same with the perks.

Yeah I get where you are coming from, I do think its possible tbf

  • Honestly I'd love killer bans simply because I am really tired of Ghould/Blight games but I know it's not really ideal, plus the idea of denying people their fav killer sucks.

That said they should BALANCE them properly.

  • @Dinadin said:

Several characters you mentioned arent survivors, theyre just skins. Also I guess most players dont own the overwhelming amount of licenced survivors, cause theyre just skins and their perks are mostly useless. So is no incentive to buy them besides being a fan of the character/series/game.

Which is more of a concern because they are all bundled under the one character and cost more than the chapter lol

  • Well considering the recent kill rates being around 65 percent might have something to do with it lol

Not saying every killer is that kill rate though, but considering some of them who are commonly picked are… well yeah

  • I don't see why that's a huge ask, some of the banners are pretty

  • Can we just do a hotfix and make it stackable, pretty please

  • Neither does Fast Track, optimally it only reduces like what 6 or so seconds per hook?

What's your point, can you read perk tooltips?

  • You know, tunneling isn't so bad as a strategy, it's only on the high mobility ones I have an issue with it because there is just no room to breathe.

Events honestly probably would be a lot more tolerable if we finally dealt with them, but that's just my opinion.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Because Killers complained. And if Killers complain, there will be changes.

I get where you are coming from, but last year was miserable for both sides. It was Launch Ghoul with blood favor hex builds on my servers, matches were utterly boring.

This year has been better spawns aside, more killer variety even if most of my games feel like they are against Blight (zzzz). I think gen regression is fine, just not on the hyper mobile ones (that's not exclusive to this mode though).

But I feel like a parrot on this forum, I'll always be the hyper mobility killer hater LOL

  • Gurl are we just going to pretend we don't have perks like deadlock? LMAO

For the record I have no issue with Deadlock! I just don't understand why we are acting like either side can't have these perks.

I think it's more unhealthy we give huge rewards when objectives are done if anything (Pain res, pop etc) coz that encourages a snowball, but again I don't have issues with these perks, I have issues that they have been meta for years though, it's boring.

  • @Mortimer said:

To be honest, facing a trickster has never been this much fun.

Yeah I really enjoy playing against them recently, unless its an awful map (no tall walls anywhere), but that's more of a map issue lol

  • It's the addons for me, I feel like the lower grade ones don't really help much at all.

I like Bracer and shoes a lot, but shoes not giving lasting movement speed between multiple aims is annoying, I think the buff is just lost after letting go the first time.

Otherwise I think they are good, I've really been enjoying not needing as many hits.

great job on fixing the gas pump spawns

Yeah this is what I came here to point out, the spawns are reverb fart sfx

  • Lady D as a killer with lots of cosmetics would be fun for the existing survivors.

As for Ethan, Capcom is like he doesn't have a face also he has like maybe 2 costumes if that.

I want a full rework of it, The walking dead map is so pathetic especially when you compare to what they did with trickster map.

I honestly believe its just a test map they slapped the main building tile in and called it at day because they couldn't get main building to spawn as a tile on other maps which they where trying to do originally

They could still take it out until it has been improved, the green filter my friends tell me gives them a headache, though IDK if that's actually a more common issue.

  • I'd love Ashley or more outfits for the RE survivors would be awesome.

    I'd love more RE content.

I wouldnt say gone, but it does need a rework. It's "main" building should actually be a main building, not a glorified jungle gym

I'd be surprised if they did that without a walking dead chapter 2

  • The walking dead map is the one I want gone atm

  • I don't really think we should be giving hyper mobile killers more mobility, they already are horrible enough to go against.

As opposed to non slugging twins? That's just what the killer does

I don't think it's the intended way to play her though, I feel that's more of what the community ended up doing, it's similliar to the blight issue coz they can be in two places at once and guard downed survivors. Much like how blight can get to a said location quickly because of their mobility.

Thankfully we do have the new abandon, but idk it's not really a tool I want to take away from killers, I just think the high mobility or the utility of having 2 of you when it's used for this kind of gameplay as this thread discusses can be really oppressive.

I'm not sure that's intended at all.

  • Tell them!

Like I don't even play Ada and its so sad she doesnt have heels

  • I mean I'd love more meaningful standard perks that suit characters more, like Ada's suck for stealth such as low profile, it's not like her at all.

Or how Eleven doesn't even have something like a force pushback (not super far) as an exhaustion or something.

I'd love more fun chapters like Nicolas', dramaturgy scene partner and plot twist were such fun perks and you could tell the devs had fun making them too.

    More of that please

  • Slugging Twins surely cannot be intended either lol IDK why they havn't dealt with how unhealthy that is for the game.

  • @TheMruczek said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066602#Comment_4066602

Yes, every gen regression being literally shadow of its former self being better than fast track. Are we even playing the same game? Vigil, Shoulder the burden, Botany, Five moves ahead? Base kit buffs?

Except they are still the most used perks in the game on killer side? Far from shadows of their former self with a new regression perk being added

So what's wrong with that being the case on the other side? Scared to have a taste of the same medicine lol That's all I hear

If gen regression can exist, so can gen progression.

  • How does the killer even know if it's being ran? Survivors are being tunneled all the time regardless anyways.

Nothing has changed at all like you said, killers need to hook to get their gen regression, fast track is nothing compared to what's available on killer side.

    People stop doomposting challenge impossible.

  • I suppose also you are denying yourself your on hook regression perks if you do this lol

Fair enough if you're running chase builds, but like the majority of the games I play on survivor have them.

I feel they did the best possible buff for it, not too much progress removed and also it can't be lost. Better than what it was before where it had literally no impact.

  • @Lorelei_Albrecht_TTV said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4066091#Comment_4066091

Buddy… Guy… Gen regression has been pretty much gutted all the while the most common perk type to release or get buffed on survivor is gen progression lmao. The pace of the game doesn't allow for 12 hooking on certain characters. Which honestly I myself am bugged by I LOVE Hex Builds and stealth builds BUT, the current pace of the game doesn't allow for that unfortunately. When 2-4 gens aren't popping in the first 2 to 2 and a half minutes I'm facing squads of people who's whole goal is to harass the killer player and try to make them miserable. Like this game has the potential to be great but, the devs need to know how it feels to play both sides to do that and they clearly don't because they keep doubling down on gen progression.

Why do you think I'm suggesting base kick at the very least do more regression. I feel like you shouldn't feel you need to run gen regression to make the game more forgiving. Honestly I don't think it should ever be meta, chase builds should be.

Base kit on either side could be helped. it could even be tested in an event queue on live servers, because I feel like PTB never bares real match experience, it's always extreme case opinions.

  • @Mandy said:

That issue was fixed already, we had a backend fix last week that took care of it - it luckily didn't need a download from players.

I had it happen last night, it seems to mainly happen on Tricksters Delusion, but not on other maps for me.

Specifically the event queue, is it maybe the fix isn't applied there?

The big problem with the "Free" go next because "why should someone suffer a bad game" mentality is the following….

Where do you draw the line? Till the game becomes unplayable?

You need to see the whole cake and not just your own piece, DBD is a 4v1 game and this means everyone has a different opinion on all these categories:

    • Who is the Killer
    • Are the Survivors bullys
    • Which map came up
    • Which perks is the opposite running
    • Which addons are in play
    • Do you like the enemys playstyle
    • Is the ping correct
    • How long is your losing streak
    • Did someone BM you
    • How fast you got hooked
    • How long does it take for a gen to be finished

These are just some examples which could be take for the stance "My Game is bad and I am suffering so I should be allowed to go next" and remember you have to think about these situations for every Survivor or Killer in every game.

Now I hear you saying that people won´t abuse a free go next and I am just asking "Do we play the same game?"

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4065826#Comment_4065826

Till today I didn´t understand how people think that a rank quque would lead the players which like to ruin over experience would go for a challenging game.

Be honest: Do you really think that bully squads or hard sweating killers want to go against good enemys? No they want to ruin/win at all cost and if their enemy is miserable thats the cherry on the cake for them.

So who would go into ranked mode? Maybe give something to people reaching a certain rank? Yeah this would bring the casuals into ranked mode because they try to get the free stuff…
So we have two quques both filled with people who want to ruin games and people who didn´t touch gras since the game launched.

So nothing will change except there are some people "bragging with the I am Diamond Elo" stuff.

there is a lot of factors, but we'll never have a perfect game regarding the go next. If you've been around for a long time you'll see the go next prevention and the dc penalties have achieved absoloutley nothing. I still see DCing killers/Survivors every other match near enough.

The only thing which has been a success is the abandon allowing survivors who have been slugged for a while to get out of matches the killer is doing it on purpose.

To reiterate, DBD will never be a perfect game and until they find a way to make it more fair (there is just too many factors as you've pointed out) they can't have these punishing systems, cheaters abound, vpners abound.

I personally think people being able to leave was healthier for the game, coz the emblem system put you into matchmaking with people who also abandoned lots (Depipping). Ofc sometimes it was a wild card (high ranks queueing with low ranks) but that is no different than what I see on live. I feel like MMR will always never be perfect, the emblem system at least gave some context to the lobby you were in.

Ranked games I feel would bring the competitive people to the same area, the tunnelers, the gen rushers all the people who want to play the game super optimally.

As for "Bully Squads", I'd much rather be interacted with then spend a match watching gens fly by coz no one wants to play, it's why I play killer or survivor, to interact with the other side. I just think people feel they are too forced to equip for genrushing to build for countering altruism/chase rn. A better base kick like 10 or so percent would go a long way, gen regression/lockdown perks are way too impactful rn, for good reason.

  • @AlwaysInAGoodShape said:

beHaviour just needs to buff soloQ players so they have base aura reading on their teammate's position, can see generators with progress etc so that they have the same info as coms players.

Right now soloQ players without aura reading are barely able to get a heal off without completely throwing the game, assuming it's not off hook

Honestly one big change is I'd like to be able to see when a team mate has a status effect like exposed. They do it for killer powers after all.

  • image.png

This room is a noob trap. you go in thinking there might be a door to the north, but its a dead end. I've fallen for it and I've seen others fall for it as killer, it's really funny.

With my brace/shoes build on trickster so far:

    image.png

I don't think I'm doing too bad, but, I've only played a few matches on the map.

  • I've had survivors run builds that have bamboozled me mid chase with plot twist and I couldn't find them LOL they seem better, IDK if they are like as good as other items, but they are better.

I feel they are perhaps a bit doodoo on large outdoor maps, maybe that's where you could look at improving them, coz its really obvious on those and there isn't really anywhere to hide.

Yes, this is what i keep saying. The solution to this problem is to stop cultivating a community that says "memememe" and start banning people harshly for ruining games. Literally every other online multiplayer game does this right now. Why can't DBD?

Save that for a ranked queue for people who take the game way too seriously honestly

1 … 21 22 23 24 25 … 75
