I'm so overjoyed to see Unknown on there
I'm concerned about Doctor though, he has always been a more problematic killer at various points of DBD (accessibility issues)
I hope its just to do with his chase and not like the skill check side, I have a friend with Nystagmus who really struggles with him when we play against him. I'm sure it's just the chase though. -

Meanwhile, Pain Res, DMS, Grim Embrace remains completely unaffected.
This is my main concern but I suppose the gen regression limit is in place for those, I don't really mind them on balanced killers.
It's mainly always been the high mobility ones they are horrific to face on -

You know that survs just need to do the equivalent of 6 1v4 gens, right?
It is possible to win as killer, but it's so stressful that isn't worthy playing. You have to tunnel as a deranged man too since each HOOK, not KILL increases their repair speed. No you don't, do you play with friends at all? Co-ordination goes a long way, people are still learning to play the mode as killer coz the queues are long.
2 good killers are really oppressive, and if you are talking about solo Q'ing, now you know how survivors feel like queueing alone lol
Imagine a popular mode with casual players, if you are trying to win every game that's why you are miserable -
Honestly I think this is going to get worse before it gets better and that's okay. I'd rather individual perks had more of an impact and I'm ready to go through the journey with the devs and watch the game grow.
A lot of my gripes with this game are to do with stacking perks, so maybe we should wait and see and try it out THEN give feedback. -
What are these comments, everything except the sprint burst statement is REALLY out of touch I'm sorry.
You don't need to play the mode, loads of people enjoy it and not everything needs to be tailored to you lmao
Killer queue is oversaturated anyways, and probably will be when queue while you wait shows up to 1v4 as well -

One of my first steps to leaving dbd permanently. I do not want a killer I’ve played for YEARS to be nerfed to garbage 4.4.
it's been a long time coming, he'll still be strong just not a win condition, after all the power is pretty much unaffected which is why he is good.

Honestly like you say its how terrible all of the silent hill cosmetics look (Alessa inparticular is ATROCIOUS lol)
I hope one day they make them better -

Solo Q issue man. 😂😭
Seriously, I'm tired of killers having mediocre or bad perks because of Nurse, Blight and Spirit. Lary required some skill before, but now even an inept as myself can play and win games with this crap.Yeah NGL I agree with this regarding perks being strangled like Predator and Awakened Awareness because of Nurse.
Killer perk design could be strong if it weren't for the high mobility in some cases. -

2 patches and 2 another rift to store happened after that but still not on shards
Might be possibly due to them being licensed? Which outfits are they
-
Probably the patch after or when the next rift to store cosmetics get added.
-
Yeah IDK why they always nerf cool perk ideas because of a worst case scenario, rather than dealing with the problematic interaction itself.
Just turns the perk into a niche use for that one killer over it being useful to everyone. -

They would need to give you autoaim or make his knifes hitbox larger which plays against him because he wouldnt be able to shoot through gabs.
I dont think killer that requires multiple precise shots to get value controller friendly and wont be unless they do one of the things I mentioned but than it would be for first thing a buff for pc and for second nerf for all especialy pc so I dont see it happen.
its not even that, the aim sensitivity even when you change it feels like its always too much or too little, you don't have precise control over the camera like other FPS games.
Aim assist would help if it was light, but generally speaking you have to aim with your movement on controller and with 110 (not that I want a speed increase) it's really tough to keep up with survivors if you aim that way.
The camera control in general on controller is straight doo doo -
I'd love more chapter 2's of existing chapters, it'd be cool

depends on the time of day . During daytime i get alot more chill matches against legions and wraiths . Late at night is pretty bad just multiple slowdown ghouls or single larrys.
For me its blight blight blight ghoul blight then I get the odd wraith or pig or something
-
I love the buffs, Ripper Brace and Bloody Boa or shoes are my friend
But they really need to make this killer controller friendly, it's awful -

Thanks for the kind feedback! I was inspired by the “anti-camping/tunneling patch” that the developers had attempted but eventually abandoned. I slightly modified the direction of that patch to weaken camping and tunneling for Killers while providing them with other appealing options. Adding Pop Goes the Weasel as a basekit perk for Killers serves as a reward for not camping or tunneling.
However, giving Pop Goes the Weasel as a base perk raises concerns that Killers could become too strong in the late game. For Survivors, I included Self-Care as a base perk so they can maintain sustainability in the late game without losing viability, while also enjoying a wider range of perk choices.
This change would likely be welcomed more by solo-queue Survivors than by party players coordinating heals on Discord.
Yeah the self care in 2v8 is great for making the game feel more casual friendly on escapist, so I really like the idea of it, as a solo Q player I use self care botany a lot, so I can heal others and myself to make sure I'm not an easy target to tunnel out.
Same with killer I've always felt that no baseline regression can make the game feel very punishing if you make mistakes.
It's like something I feel could go a long way for DBD, if even for like a more casual 1v4 event to test out. I wish they'd experiment with this more -

A pallet save bug that's never been fixed if you mash m1 while picking up and they drop a pallet on you and it nullifies the stun. Had it happen to me twice this patch
Yeah that and there is one for spamming input changes or one of the f keys I'm sure to slow the game down to not acknowledge the stun.
that one might be fixed tho -
IDK I think it's less she is unappealing and more she is power crept by absurd hyper mobility right now.
I still play her and I think she is one of the more balanced killers in the game.
I'll still upvote for your ideas though -

Oh and how about old DH for distance and those 3 second heals after a pallet stun too while we're at it? 🤔
ngl I still think DH for distance was more tolerable than the bs that happens with the supposed "0.5s" of endurance that feels more like 2 seconds on latency, looool
Like if it was activate on hook and useable once with the distance I feel that would be okay especially with the current high tiers -
You put so much effort in part of me wishes I could try this concept on a PTB, coz I feel just reading it wouldn't do it justice.
A lot of thought went into this, I like how you've focused on the back and forth more, that's neat. -
Who cares if the last survivor gets out

@solidhex said:
-Underpowered low tier killers
I don't think there are killers who are so bad that they're unhealthy for the game. Yea there are low-tiers and high-tiers, but people exaggerate how bad low tiers are. Most good Ghostfaces, Myers', Trappers' etc will still win a lot of their casual pub games because until you reach high MMR you will face mostly survivors who have no clue, they run into every trap, don't know how to play against Ghostface etc. The difference is bigger in higher MMR, that's true. But i would nerf high tiers first, i don't know why after all these years Blight still can do what he does and still has these add ons while other killers have mostly bad ones.
-MMR and lobby dodging causing newer killers to be matched against SWF's
SWF's is a buzzword often getting thrown around, most SWF's aren't much worse than your default solo queue squad. Killer mains have this strange assumption that SWF means Seal Team 6, a hyper-optimized team who has played thousands of matches together and perfectly coordinate every action. From my personal experience, most swf's are just friends who chill together on discord, the individual skill in chase has nothing to with it and coordination isn't as easy and direct as most people think
-Twins (slugging playstyles are really harmful to the casual side of the game)
Twins excell against uncoordinated solo squads, but the bigger problem is that most people don't know how to play against them. Most survs refuse to learn and want their default order of events without having to think out of the box. But yeah, playing against a good Twins killer is stressful even with a good team.
-Blight/Nurse/Ghoul (Hyper mobility and how its strangled meaningful perks for lower tiers)
i agree, the game is generally very hard to balance, because of its nature but also because there are so many variables. Killers, add ons, perks, items, offerings… but bringing killers more in line without making them "even more of the same" (please not another dash/lunge killer with teleport and projectile ability and collectable item to delete their power) would be a great start
-Swamp Maps
why? i like them and they're the only ones that have this oldschool DBD feeling (the dreary colors). I will never forgive what they did to the Autohaven and Coldwin realms, they look so ######### since their rework. The strange greenish color that they added to Autohaven isn't doing it.Thank you for responding to everything with your opinion, Twins is mostly just in concept of Solo Q because I mainly play that so your assumption is correct.
Swamp is just like events are awful on it, and the pallets/loops are awful against ranged killers (it's a very specific matchup). I do think they can be played well? Event spawns are usually what make me sick of them
the MMR thing is just me trying to think what I dislike a lot when playing killer, coz I struggled to find something I'm like this is awful on that side, backfilling is my main gripe, I can't pretend to know how MMR works.
Honestly a lot of them were just to get a conversation going if I had to choose one out of all of them it would be the high tiers, but I parrot it so much I thought I'd try take some different angles
I appreciate your opinions and agree with a lot of them especially the co-ordination and communication part not being easy <3 -
Oh I'm excited to play against it, the beam is a fun concept, I'm not sure how the exile works tho

so far I've been always using iron maiden + reload addon I'm not ashamed to admit it just because I refuse to ever be put in a situation where I "have" to m1, I feel that's always the beginning of the end but now that bloody boa is looking tempting since I hopefully don't have to freak out over the laceration undoing the "chase".
I love darkness revealed for that, so I can find my next chase if I really need to reload mid chase or between chases, though it doesnt alwaaaays work
-
The laceration timer increase is great and ripper braces buff is wonderful, I'm really happy with these changes
I do feel however I still need to run some kind of anti loop like bamboozle, but its a start -
Yeah solo Q is misery, the hex builds and the like are really annoying to go against particularly.
Maybe I should take the advice here and just play the main mode haha
I want to play killer but the queue is so oversaturated during the day -

Just because you're not seeing it, doesn't mean the rest of us aren't. Hyperfocus has absolutely surged in popularity recently. It's the 29th most used Survivor perk in the game as per Nightlight. It also boasts one of the highest escape rates of any perk. If you filter by escape rate and then discount perks with low sample sizes (I discounted anything less than 100, but even that is generous), Hyperfocus sits at #14.
I don't understand the preoccupation this forum has with downplaying how strong certain Survivor perks are.
these are 3 seperate matches, the duration gives that way no?
edit: Oh wait no I see it on the date, do you get this from click on the survivors? -

It is honestly ridiculous that it is possible that someone can ruin almost 6k games for the other side while only losing 3 times. And those 6k games in the most toxic and sweaty way.

I'm so sick of them pretending it doesn't exist -
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
High Killer winstreaks are more of a statement of this game's poor MMR system than of a Killer's individual strength. Even weaker Killers like Onryo and Trapper have been used to go on decent winstreaks.
I disagree strongly, someone would have beat him eventually even if the MMR was "poor", it's definately a show of how terribly balanced high mobility is in this game, especially high mobility + Pallet break + 115
-
I'd love more emotes to give context to situations. I feel the community would love them, can't really say no at this point when we have overglorified emotes as perks, right?
-
I feel like the addon that gave haste based on hits could even have been made baseline to reward good play as them, or into the style system gradually bringing you to 115 in some way.
So it's not just 115 ranged killer, something that you can earn if playing really well, anything really.
Also the addons in general are really bad (some are really good tho), I basically have to run bamboozle or haste to stand a chance and it limits my builds. Some loops are just too good. -

All of these themes are great. I especially love the bassline for the MiNA theme. Be cool if they could rework this one into a dedicated terror radius / chase theme for her (not that I'd ever be likely to hear it. I've yet to see this cosmetic out in the wild).
MiNA's theme comes pretty close to knocking my beloved Legion theme off the top spot as the best in the game.
its clearly possible coz it partially plays when main event is used, if only

Twins might be an issue if literally anybody played them. Over a thousand hours in the game and i can count the number of twins games I've had on one hand. Kind if a problem in of itself, to have dead killers that you never see anyone play.
But yh weird amount of players still lobby dodge. Less than they used to though, i rememeber when they used to show players prestiges and killers would dodge any high prestige survs they saw.
Big thing not mentioned is how bad the game is for new players, particularly survivor soloq. Game has no decent tutorial and newer surv players just get constantly stomped and tunneled out via convenience. Newer players need more support
I mention them as I have encountered a few of them recently again and it's just annoying if you didn't bring perks to deal with the situation it's just a slow miserable match, that or everyone just runs at her for some reason and the match is over coz no one wants to play with her (I try to play normally).
Lobby dodging is frustrating because you can clearly tell people get filled in who are clearly out of their depth, like only a couple hundred hours or the like, or the other extreme. Its usually always after a dodge.
yeah its atrocious for new players, they can't rely on content creators to do the heavy lifting for them forever. It's part the reason I'm asking everyone their opinion, because so much of the mentioned drives people away for the forseeable future who are more casual. There needs to be more room for error and time to learn -

I would like to Submit Ghoul as the next killer for the immediate list his core design is simply not good for the health of this game.
Yes please and if not him Blight lol
Tired of both of them -
Maybe they can look at fixing Rick and Darryl's voices and also fixing the terrible perks and I'd trust them with more

Satchel is only really useful when using the power to bodyblock in chase, and the leap distance change doesn't increase his mobility, it only makes it so you can pull yourself from further away.
With how momentum works, the distance is the same in the end.
I'll take your word for it, I can't really say I have any clue how to balance them, I just would love to have fun playing against them. I'm not even looking to win

Pain Res, Jagged Compass, Grim Embrace, Bamboozle. Ripper Brace, Trick Pouch
Bamboozle, Darkness Revealed, No Way Out, Iron Maiden. Ripper Brace, Melodious Murder. I opt to not use Ultimate Weapon because i feel like it gives survivors too much of a warning.
Barbecue, Lethal, Bamboozle, Fire Up + Ripper Brace is fun but if survivors are average at doing gens they will probably do them too fast
Also bamboozle is a near must have imo. It was for me when he was 4.4m/s before. He's a killer that needs to commit to chases sometimes due to low speed and large detection radius but some loops just have windows that are too strong. This is especially noticable the lower style rank you are. The laceration decay is also bugged and too short in some areas.
ik they're not very unique but truth be told trickster isn't a killer that works well with a lot of perks. A lot of perks give you info that only killers with mobility or stealth can respond to or have a basic attack requirement and trickster has none of these.
There's also the viral one that uses Iri Photo Card + Secret Project. I really don't like this combo and i am hoping that they nerf this add-on asap as well as buffs in other areas.
Theres also hex builds which i also dont really like in general but it's a nuclear option when a killer doesn't really have much else to useYeah I find it really odd they didn't even think to bake haste into the style ranks even, or ripper brace baseline
I also havn't really tried gen regression yet much, it would probably help <3
Oh I didnt think about that combo re the iri card, that's gross
Thanks for sharing -
Hopefully they revert things, coz I don't understand what this update set out to do, he feels even worse getting grabbed by this patch and he can still grab through pallets all its achieved is it doesnt hurt you know
