I wouldn't be opposed to this, but mostly because it could be funny when the killer is memeing. xD
I also want an emote for survivors, where they make a heart with their arms (or at least hands). I see no way this could be used for BM-ing, or would detract from gameplay. It could only add more wholesomeness and good vibes to the matches.
Any kind of positive emote would be wonderful especially with how much fun the community has with bardic and one two three four

Honestly i'd die laughing seeing hill billy etc crouching at me
I'm for it. -

They removed his stupid scamper.
He can still do it on windows. It's just worse on pallets, if survivor knows about it.
Change was enough I don't consider him instant surrender, but I definetly have him still on first spot for most annoying killer to play against.
Literally this, he is just really not fun to play against, I don't care if he is strong like Wesker or the like just make him fun to play against.

Last stand being an exhaustion perk would be ludicrous, and having bada boom explode near the vault why? To punish the killer for countering it? Otherwise yeah a lot of survivor perks need major touch ups.
You'd still have to earn it regarding last stand and it being exhastion means they can't run other things it'd be like head on, there is no reason not to try these things on a PTB. There is a lot of risk going for a stun as it is (really easy to punish unlike head on)
Bada Bada Boom blowing up near the vault gives value for killers like nurse and blight or the first who will try to play around a vault. As it is rn it only counters killers who need to vault (this is going to be more an issue with the diminishing returns if it nerfs vault speed builds). So its basically bringing the perk into less of a niche.
These were just random ideas, not the solution. -
Yet Wesker a killer who wasn't really struggling and a good place for balance gets coming out of power reduction, why?

Completely irrelevant to this discussion but what more do you ppl complaining about ghoul here want? the vault is gone, the exploits are gone, the autoaim is gone. I see you all complaining a lot but there's genuinely been a lot of good changes to this killer.
For him to be fun to play against, I want you to sit down and play multiple matches against him and tell me it's "Fun".
The hyper mobility is the issue paired with the stupid anti loop he has, none of these "Changes" affect those who are good at him, it only came after those who are bad at killer. -

Behavior needs to remove the ability for the Ghoul to jump over pallets and windows using its power, just like they did with Chucky. It’s ridiculous to take free hits because of that stupid mechanic.
The fact they just are very very very slowly doing it instead of testing it with a group of experienced people or getting community opinions on what they hate facing about them is wild.
Like how do they not realise hyper mobility is really strong in most pvp games, it's not even a DBD exclusive thing -
Probably axe CD related, which they need to be careful with
Or Axe radius, or maybe door travel is faster? -
I'd like to try this idea honestly, it could be a good way to do it.
But there is one issue, high mobility like Ghoul exists and with the right build like floods of rage could easily just hunt down said survivor anyways. -
that would be nice
More QoL changes for Houndmaster would be wonderful, I love playing against her -
I wouldn't mind sacrificing the projectile cd into m1 (coz its atrociously fast) for better controls on the head form honestly.

Your monetization scheme has always been weak, I say that as a "whale". I've probably spent $1000 in League of Legends on skins and while I'm a bit shamed to say so, it was over a period of 10 years and I was happy to support the game.
For DBD? I'd like to give you my money but it's hard. I'll keep this concise though. When you release new survivors who have voice lines, better polish, better modelling, better everything - it begs the question of why would I ever bother getting a skin for the older survivors?
You have to see the dilemma right? Why would I buy some old jank legendary killer/survivor skin when the MiNa exists? A concrete example is blight. I could just buy the Resident Evil Birkin skin and get new voice lines or spend almost the same on an ascendant one with no new voices.
Why would I buy skins for my old mains (Yui, Zarina, Mikaela, Claudette) when new survivors like Vee and Tae have voicelines and way better polish?
I'd love to buy the Saga Anderson skin but it has no voices and it sucks.
I know some fellow DBD'ers will say "But I adore character X,Y,Z and that's good enough for me" - Ok that's great but I am talking about my own experiences and as a paying customer.
Yeah I feel like they need to do some quality passes over old survivors, I'm still waiting on the silent hill characters to be given love, when stranger things recieved updates when it came out after SH and they cant say they dont have a good relationship with Konami
Coz they've done NUMEROUS collabs with them
it's upsetting -

Still, not really a good showing once again. You are listening way too much to the loud people, the Perk is already falling off and used less, simply because it is still not good (or at least not as good as the more popular Survivor Perks).
It is not that I care about Fast Track at all, I tested it and I dont think it is worth bringing. But it is always concerning to see how fast changes happen when people complain loud enough instead of waiting before things have settled down.
Yet they won't deal with Ghoul at all despite a high usage rate and high performance, all the changes up to this point have been so minimal and more bug fixes rather than making them fun to go against.
Actually infuriating at times. -
Nostromo is a map I was really excited for, then it came out and its one of my most hated maps lol

I hope there's more perk updates aside from just Fast Track. With diminishing returns now seems like the perfect time to buff a few things that have historically only been used in stacking. (Hope, Overcharge, etc.)
Yeah this, you can't really introduce a system that basically kills a lot of niche perks and not buff any of them lol
-
I'm just worried healing builds are going to be super dead this update bar the one perk.
but it's good to know regardless lol thanks for the charts, I really hope they are maybe converting them to flat increases and then applying the diminishing returns. -

Huntress is only good against sprintburst if they run in open area which makes her able to take that shot but if survivor has brain to keep track of both killers he wont do this if he can avoid run in open not to mention doging with sprintburst is super easy you can even bait oni and other fast killers near small objects. Huntress isnt bad but on tall loops she is super bad and she suffers from mobility issue due to her speed plus many maps have lot of line of sight blockers which makes her sniping terrible and very hard unless you get aura.
To second thing no offence but playing with friend and comparing it to playing alone with random is totaly off because in duo you have more info and can help each other when needed but playing alone is way harder and untiliable compare to being duo which makes some killers more playable (in duo with friend) compare to using them alone.
I think everyone in 2v8 is way more chill than in any other mode due to its none so competitive nature but if you playing alone and dont play killer you main like trapper or else than its not worth it with other killers, being in duo thats different story especisly when you have coms and comunicate between each other than even combos like slinger+ghostface are viable due to information teaming because of comunication.
Stats arent so reliable in 2v8 due to no mmr there so you can get potatoes more against you but ones you get good looper with sprintburst and especialy few of them which do gens zhan having killer with mobility (especialy when all killers with mobility in 2v8 have catching up potencial which is very helpfull even oni when powered) is night and day change.
No offence taken, that's the point I was trying to make is some killers thrive better when working with another person. It's like complaining about survivor Solo Q, yeah some stuff is more viable alone etc. So yes I agree with you
But like, I don't expect to win when I play a team mode solo, coz my co-killer could be very inexperienced for all I know and that would be unfair to them. Plus if I wanted to play alone I'd play 1v4 -

DBD 2026 is obnoxious, but for nothing you list. You come across as a viewer who regurgitates the same dime-a-dozen nonsense from the numerous killer-main streamers who dominate any discussion about this game and turned it into the mess it is today.
I'm not sure that's entirely true, sure I also don't agree with some of their opinions but considering we've had countless nerfs to both killer and survivor or systems scrapped (remember the original finisher mori system)
I think it's safe to say they do cater to both sides, also if they listened to killer mains Fast Track and Hyperfocus/Stake out would be deleted
Edit: Nvm Fast Track is getting Tweaked so that point is out the window LMAO -

I just want to state for the record I have never seen someone that complains about camping and tunneling also be good at the killer role. Every singular person that has commented "I can 4k without tunneling/slugging/camping" I will always click their profile(reddit, insta, twitter, tiktok, whatever) out of curiosity. Sometimes they are youtubers or streamers.
If they are one, amazing, now I can see how they play since maybe I can learn a thing or two about killer, makes sense right? I've sat there and watched their killer gameplay and they are awful at killer and do the most obvious mistakes. They will play TL walls/shack incorrectly, not hide their red stains in chase, eat every single pallet stun, lose most of their 50/50s, get spun out occasionally, and ive even seen them chase survivors around a tall rock for a solid 20 WHOLE seconds.
To this day I STILL have not run into a person that says they can 4k without tunneling/slugging/camping also be good at killer.
Furitive chase/Friends til the end I love for going for new targets over and over, zooming with stealth and haste is so nice.
4king without doing the usual is possible, I just don't win EVERY game coz that's not what I aim to do lol
and usually I let people go anyways when I get the 3k, so I guess I don't count, I've been really enjoying Trickster and I'm super excited to return to Unknown with the buffs -
Maybe DM one of the community managers? IDK if thats possible

@Abbzy said:
Only worth killers to play as in 2v8 are those with good mobility, catching up to survivor power and some antiloop the rest is just not worth playing especialy when sprintburst on command is very liked by many survivors with short cooldown and maps are super huge with lot of safety so only killers that are woth playing are wesker, oni, blight, nurse, billy, wraith, spirit and dracula because they all have some solid power with mobility or antiloop compare to killers with very good antiloop like deadslinger and chucky they get hits fast too but they down have mobility or trapper/ ghostface are map dependent and can be easily countered in 2v8 or nemi who is super slow with tiering up his mutation and in combination with sprintburst and pallets repair his power which needs 3 hits to down isnt that great even as breaking tool.
Other killers tahn these with mobility arent worth using or are super undebuffed for this mode like slinger, pyramidhead and if I or most people have to waith 20-30+ minutes than I will run killer that is worth it not just goon around with trapper and get totaly slaped by survivors and making my teammate game even harder than it is.
Like it or not these are facts and what makes them facts is why you see many of the killers I mention and killers that arent that good you will see at minimun like pyramidhead.
I disagree I really enjoy Huntress in 2v8 lol its works wonders against the sprint burst users. If the Deathslinger buffs help his range/reel speed , he is gonna be a lot better too potentially. I'd also love Trickster but will have to wait a while for that (I love playing ranged killers lol)
I think what a lot of people struggle to get their heads around is how much easier it is when you play with a friend you're actually communicating with, its so much fun and the snowball can happen so quick.
People just need to chill the heck out and realise they wont win every match lol, that's okay when that happens. I get its more frustrating coz you're in a 15m queue, but thats just it, you probably don't have the experience in the mode yet to make such statements.
When the stats site works again I'll show my performance, I've not done so bad on Huntress at all -
You can hear wraiths bell globally
You can see Ghostfaces status on the hud
You can see the portraits are darker when Skully is in play same goes for Sadako
You can see Sadako and Pigs interactables and Springtraps!
Myers is huge it's not hard to see him at all and you hear the jingles
idk pressing tab and seeing what you are up against isnt going to make a huge difference lol -

I'm not against the idea of diminishing returns necessarily, like you mentioned with clown. I think it'd be great if they had more liberation designing perks, and not having to worry about a specific killer. However, I do believe a gen slowdown for killer is the most enjoyable META all around. By giving killers rewards to extend how much time they have to play the game all while leaving chases interesting. If our meta starts revolving around anti-loop it's going to become a whole less interesting
That's fair, the issue is are they actually doing it the way we are talking or are they just applying the diminishing returns then sloppily and slowly changing values later.
I do have faith and I'd rather see change than stagnation, but I'm so used to good changes taking years to finally surface, hopefully this is the start of a new era for BHVR.
Last solid huge meta shake up was 4 years ago nearly, I'd like it to not take so long to make meaningful changes especially with consultants now.
As for Anti-loop we kind of already have that (before this patch) where the S-tiers have super strong anti loop powers and then they have the liberty of using gen regression also so you get the worst of both worlds. It's why I dislike Blight/Nurse so heavily.
On the other hand Dissolution+Blood favor on Ghoul, dissolution on Krasue is misery so you may be right -
I'm gonna have to disagree with this, I think having strong options in both categories will be fine, diminishing returns doesnt mean at all that chase perks will be weaker, because they COULD buff them to compensate for that and make them enticing as options on their own.
To me it sounds like they want to make these perks strong on their own but be around at their current effectiveness when paired together as the idea develops.
Meanwhile killers who have haste like clown basekit, will get hit harder so they can't overstack said options. I don't think anything will be "Braindead" the consultants will keep them informed. -
especially considering some monitors have them built in lmao
-
Yeah I've had a few instances when I run straight at a vault and it turns into a medium.
-
I just hope this is the start to deal with all the High Mobility killers who are problematic
Wesker and HillBilly should be the standard -
@MechWarrior3 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/466001/wesker-has-ghoul-problem
That looks like a ping issue ngl, cause wesker does not have that type of range at all after vaulting with his power.
I don't think it is, it's simpler than that, if you are near the pallet when he vaults, he basically hits you even if you leave if that makes sense. Gives the illusion of range
So the hit was decided earlier on in the interaction is what I see, giving the survivor time to leave before the interaction ends -
it's the only cleanse option in the game, we have no items or perks which give us the ability to cleanse other than vigil. (syringe is the exception but I'm on about debuffs in general)
Considering it can no longer stack with itself it's not really an issue.
Considering the alternatives, this is probably the best option, otherwise you might get insta cleanses and that would suck even more. -
Yeah I've seen this a few times luckily I never stay by a pallet when he vaults it but, my friends have been hit a few times and shown me clips

the killer in question has a power that can down survivor even through walls unlike ghoul but I’m not suprised that you think like that since you have an history of “slightly” biased opinion in this forum
I wouldn't say they are bias when they are talking about how it feels to go against a lot of these killers, its part of the puzzle thats needed to make a fun killer
So stop with that lmao -

Or, that is what BHVR is quoted as having said in this recent IGN interview.
If that is the case, then why do we have:
- Basekit BT off hook
- A gen kick limit
- Anticamp
As clearly these are ways to prevent or de-incentivize a certain playstyle, right? The difference is you can still play that way, those just affect the balance of it lol

I know people like to say this but no one ever asks for it. He just needs adjustments to not be powerful and easy. But the longer he's detestable, the worse the sentiment will get, and it's been a year. People are only just getting over Clown being overtuned for a few weeks and that was awhile ago.
And SM isn't the same. Her power is just bad and unenjoyable. Ghoul could be fine with tuning.
Literally this, they've let this problem fester for over a year and now you have those who cling to him and those who hate him, and it's encouraging a really toxic environment overall socially.
You should never condition this in your community, whether intentional or not because it's going to take longer and longer to recover from this. -
@UnicornMedal said:
It's in the eye of the beholder.
I love a casual match where we all farm points, but it's rare to see that anymore. It's more often that you have a Killer that will hard tunnel 2 people out and force the remaining 2 to finish all the gens by themselves and I don't participate in that. For one, starting the trial that sweaty makes me distrust you. Secondly, I don't want to help someone that ensured two of the people in my team weren't able to play.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4069037#Comment_4069037
The big caveat being that a "normal" trial is a camp/tunnel/slug fest right out of the gate because there are no systems to prevent it like we were told there would be.
Exactly, if I ever see a killer get banned for trying to be friendly this games community is cooked lmfao
I don't want to ever see that even considered unless its clearly keeping someone in a match hostage!
Also @Skeleton23 you can't be slugged for 30 minutes, plus you can also abandon if slugged multiple times. -

Balance aside, then, are you going to address any of the quality of life going up against this character?
Specifically the grab attack feels absolutely terrible to go against. Having the killer be 20m away off screen, and your survivor stops dead for at least a full second has me slamming the controls thinking I'm about to DC.
It's completely jarring to lose all control of your character like that. Knowing also that this is effectively a ranged ability with auto aim, is like if having huntress hatchets stunned you automatically for no reason. Worse, since huntress you have to actually aim.
It feels like absolute ass to go against that. Mobility isn't an issue, but why does this need to remove player autonomy like this also?
Yeah I wish they'd make them FEEL better to go against.
Like I want them to keep playing against the killer and tell me it's okay, sure they have consultants but that's not going to be the be all and end all.
The amount of creators who outright despise him, or just players in general yet they keep ignoring the main problems that make them so horrible to go against.
PLEASE don't make this go on for more and more years like you did with Blight, show us that you at least learnt from this. -
Honestly it can't be as bad as people seeing no mither broken in lobby, that's the worst case scenario or invocations being done.
it can't get worse than that and even then people don't even act that harshly to those, they just try and play and maybe the be mean in end game, its rare I see a hard rage quit outside of the normal conditions. -

They nerfed Haywire because it was broken on Singularity. Not to mention how many perks have been nerfed due to how they work with Nurse or Blight over the years?
Yeah I don't really like that kind of balancing lol
-
I love the play while you wait because I play both roles and having the option for 1v4, coz the queues are like 4 minutes even when 2v8 isn't up at times of the day. So this is really welcome
-
Yeah I'm hopeful it will be, it's a great way to learn the game and introduce new players.
They also seem to be focusing on it as the "Fun mode"
While people might get upset over the queues, there is potential it could bring a lot more players into the game and queues could improve over time. -
I'm wondering regarding gen regression if the perks get nerfed from the moment they are locked in rather than when they are in use?
Hopefully diminishing returns are communicated well enough to the player so you know when something isnt working -
I think the biggest nerf to them was the multi hit passives being changed when the player self mends.
They dumb multi hit thing did nothing to buff them IMO and it's just annoying seeing Legions try go for that over and over.
I love the stealth addons and information ones on them and I miss being able to apply debuffs from the 2nd hit onwards, I feel like with the fatigue reduction and the addons we have now, going back to 2nd hit status application was better for pressure. Coz SWF's are just going to mend each other.
This killer needs a rework, they are weak and yet they ruin most events which were unique (Lights out and 2v8). I love the idea of of the stabby stabby, but maybe playing more into their hit and run without information built in base kit would be healthier, that way you could maybe make them apply a mark and get haste like BFF as their main mechanic.
I used to play them a lot but I've really disliked them ever since the combo hits to get a down rework coz the addons bar the stealth ones (sunglasses and ruler) are boring. -
This would be a lot of fun, especially if they get Maggie to voice her

But how do you determine if a killer is overperforming? In the recent stats we got, blight was not in top 5 kill rates in either bracket.
What I'd really love is for them to realise that mobility is really really strong especially if its mobility that can be used to harm a player.
Ghouls ability to just return to hook and remove endurance is one of those things, much like Blight is able to just do the same, or Nurse.
While the changes put forward today help with this a little, Maybe Ghouls power shouldn't be able to work on Endurance? Kind of Like Snug on Houndmaster grabbing -
@Mandy said:
Ghoul is not in a position right now where he's overperforming - we've also made adjustments and bug fixes to a few things, we don't feel he's in the position where a hard nerf is warranted at this time, the revault is now even easier to do, so it should make more counterplay against the Ghoul.
Fair enough I do agree with the adjustments being good, but have you played against dissolution using Ghoul? it kind of removes said counterplay. This is also really strong on Krasue also, there is still some interactions with this killer that can be really oppressive and these pain points are definately worth exploring.
I'm against nerfing a perk because of a killer, Ghoul's free hit basically makes this really easy to get value out of, pair that with the vault tech being one of the main counterplays, we have an issue -
I definately think Ghoul needs to be looked at next, no one likes facing against them even was mentioned on the stream today lol chat was not wanting them in 2v8
