Did everyone forget a few weeks ago when killers were spamming everything mangled status when it was bugged to slow down a bunch of other things?
Or when Oni was getting twice the blood he was supposed to for 6 months?

So you save them for swf games then?
If I bring them at all its usually in swf or for challenges. Or if a build depends on the item. Otherwise i tend to just hoard stuff.
-
In solo queue, mmr is such a crap shoot it feels like I have a high chance of wasting any good items I bring.
I also understand it's frustrating for killers to constantly go against teams stacked with a bunch of medkits and toolboxes every match so I try to give them a break. Maybe if more people did so, fewer killers would run black wards with full meta perks. Probably not....
-
Given how this killer is playing out, I think I understand why they rushed the Eruption nerf into this update. Imagine how much worse this would be with old Eruption...

This sadly wouldn't fly with a lot of the countries with more strikt laws regarding display of violence etc. (especially China with its ginormous market), but dayum! This would be the coolest thing and so much on character!!
Would be nice if devs didn't cater their censorship to the lowest common denominator of pearl-clutching.
How about we give her a t-pose mori in countries that censor games instead of applying the same restrictions in free countries?
-
CoH can be nuked at the same time they nuke the 3 gen stalemate meta for killers. CoH is the only thing that gives solo queue a chance vs killers like Knight/Skull Merchant camping a 3 gen from the start of a match.
For the record, I consider guaranteed 3 gen locations on certain maps and certain killer power designs more of an issue than the regression perks themselves after the Eruption nerf.
-
With all the complaining I thought she'd be hotter
-
I thought we were working toward eliminating the info gap between swf and solo queue and this widens it again. Also hurts killers in many cases not knowing which survivor screamed. Please revert.
-
He needs counterplay as well as some ability to counter survivors that involves skill expression for both sides. Very difficult to achieve in his current form.
My best suggestion: scrap the Scooby Doo ghost guards and give him a horse
-
Sure, and survivors can get a jump action for when I can see a bear trap on the floor in front of me. And a climb action for hills and short loops.
-
I wish this perk was stronger while having some anti-tunnel requirements. I would increase the timer to 60 seconds, show all survivor auras, and allow it to activate again at 8 hooks provided all 4 survivors are still alive and no one has been hooked twice in a row.
We need more carrot perks to reward killers playing for hooks.

The main counter is to apply Deep Wound. Applying Deep Wound without it being tied to your power can only be done if you have Endurance. So basically, tunnel a survivor off hook. Are you sure that's how you want people to adapt?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3358849#Comment_3358849
Yes. It rarely works. Entity save you if you're a killer whose lunge makes a distinct sound such as Freddy.
You're saying this as if killers don't already tunnel at every opportunity. Sorry that threat doesn't work when it already happens every match. Kind of reads like pre-6.1 when killers said they would stop camping and tunneling if only gens took longer and DS was nerfed.
And I don't normally run DH so I'm not being "adapted to" in your scenario.
-
1. Increase hook stage timers by 10-15 seconds.
This should have been done when gens were increased to 90 seconds. Does nothing but hurt killers that camp early game. If survivors are crouching around observing the hook, the killer can still justifiably patrol and lose nothing. If Bubba face camps someone, the survivors stand a much better chance of finishing the gens before the first death.
2. Buff / rework killer perks to reward spreading hooks.
Grim Embrace: increase it from 45 to 60 seconds, allow it to trigger again at 8 hooks if all survivors are still alive. Deactivates if you hook the same survivor twice in a row. Shows all survivor auras instead of just the obsession.
3. Buff / rework survivor anti-camp and anti-tunnel perks
DS: bring it back to 5 seconds
OTR: like someone suggested elsewhere, remove the Endurance part, but block injured cries, scratch marks, blood pools, and aura reading.
Camaraderie: let it trigger automatically or keep the teammate trigger stipulation but let it work on both hook states.
Reassurance: increase the range just enough that it can be triggered from above the basement. Right now if a killer is camping the basement stairs, there's no way to activate it.
4. Nerf / rework survivor perks that severely limit spreading pressure.
CoH would be a big one here. I'm not really sure how to fix it without making it useless unless they rework the boon mechanic entirely.
-
Being yeeted off a gen by an undetectable Wesker
-
The stairs leading up there are pretty narrow so the killer could probably block them and camp someone to death.
-
I do miss running other healing perks and not feeling useless as my teammates ignore me to self heal at the boon...
Would be nice if they could find a balance of not nerfing perks into oblivion though.

They mentioned that Eruption was done early due to the severe backlash the perk got, but that we should expect the REAL balance patch later.
I love how changing something after 8 months is early to BHVR LOL

Imo NTH should just be centered on the gen instead of the killer (like how it was when it was bugged) and then it’s fine.
But kicking a gen as a high mobility killer and then seeing survivors in a large radius around you while you’re quickly traversing the map is dumb. Every killer aura reading perk in the game is balanced imo except for this one.
Didn't realize it worked like that. That's actually insane given the radius.
-
Will these be available for shards later or do they count as "licensed"?
-
Play Legion, ez dead hard counter
-
Just turn your monitor off for half of the match to have the same experience.

I’ve tried telling them this. They don’t wanna listen. Despite the hug tech being the most recognizable thing a blight is going for.
Hint….. 1) LEAVE THE LOOP.
Even if you predict it correctly the Blight only uses 1 or 2 tokens so now you're just being rushed down in the open. Or, you predict it correctly and get hit anyway due to the bs demo size hitbox.

No one disagrees with that, but it makes blight way more fun. That's the argument, you missed it in your last 2 panels there. Or should you just remove bug that are objectively not that good even though they make the game more fun? Goodbye all survivor techs am I right?
The Blight mains protest too much. It's not about fun, it's about free hits at small tiles where you would have to chase normally or use 3-5 rushes to get a hit instead of exploiting a bug. It absolutely makes him needlessly stronger and more frustrating to try to counter.

When that bug is a pubstomping tech which is the objectively worse and less optimal way of using his power
Then why defend a bug that only serves to "pubstomp"?
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Wouldn't really call a 3v1 match a fair assesment tbh. That's not really a case of blight being too strong but your team abandoning you.
What do you think the most balanced killer is now then? Which killers powerlevel should be the standert?
Wesker

@HugTechLover said:

His hitbox is about the size of weskers UNLESS he attacks while flicking in either direction. His straight forward hitbox is probably the size of weskers pre buff.
Then fix it to be that size all the time. He doesn't need an Oni or Demo size hitbox. It looks wrong visually given the size of his weapon and greatly contributes to the frustration of playing against him.

@SunsetBlvdOrion said:
maybe its not a bug? you wont be screaming anymore when a 40 cm spike hits your lungs 😄 your breathing and voice just cuts off.
It cuts off before the..."spiking" though. Idk it feels off and there wasn't mention of it in the patch notes so I assumed it wasn't intended.

Ok, so let me ask you, how would YOU fix blight? What nerf would be enough to accomplish what you believe in while keeping him viable. What happened to billy should not happen to any killer.
A. Shrink his hitbox to Wesker's size. Getting hit by a cane when you're 90 degrees to the side (or visually more with latency) is infuriating.
B. Rework several add ons that massively increase his potential.
C. Fix the aforementioned bugs/techs that allow him to bypass loops where he would otherwise have to chase as a m1 killer.
Pick 2

Would be nice if they made her look more like her original silent hill model and less emaciated

What about his power his bugged, and what dev explicitly said it?
From your name, I think you know. And it was stated on stream by McClean that hug tech specifically (not all sliding off objects) was unintended. Mandy has confirmed the devs consider it a bug.
-
They tested something like this for survivors a couple years ago and then never implemented it for unexplained reasons. Really disappointing as it's quite immersion breaking running around in a pristine bright dress after having been slashed 12 times in a span of 10 minutes.
-
When the devs confirm his power is bugged but dont fix it for 2 years...
-
I thought it was just my keybinds being messed up, but can confirm, my favorite add on is bugged.

I never really get why people have this opinion of Billy, about that now he is "overnerfed" or a "meme killer"... I remember that before the rework, this forum was flooded of "pls nerf Billy already, he is too strong/opressive" threads.
And now that they indeed finally nerf him, people are like "why did you nerf Billy? he was fine before".
I just find it strange.
the only things that needed nerfs for Billy were the instasaw add ons. but they added the overheat mechanic, messed with his animations, and changed a bunch of other add ons.
-
No thanks, I'd rather not have that dumpster fire of a mechanic ruining games for the sake of something that might happen once every 200 matches or so.
-
Went against a Legion abusing this yesterday with Knock Out, Sloppy, and mending add ons. Hope this gets fixed soon
-
Might be a hot take but I consider Wesker the standard for a well balanced, fun but fair killer, like Billy before he was nerfed. Blight on the other hand...
-
The feedback from the finisher mori system was mostly universal dislike. Why are more resources being dumped into this?
-
I'm shocked they didn't give her a rip off copy of one of the new RE skins too

17% is actually not a small number. I use the new one but the option hurts nothing.
That's also after the adoption rate was massively boosted by giving an actual in-game advantage to the new system while it was "tested"

Are the new RE skins time gated too?
-
I've been saying for months it's not lack of information, but horrible matchmaking that screws solo queue.
-
Did you know you can run Nemesis and Rancor and mori an entire team of survivors without ever hooking anyone!? "INsAnE kiLlEr tEcH!"
Never mind the amount of absurdly specific circumstances involved. Killer OP

When I thought he was the worst Killer but decided to main him anyway and then found that he's actually good
I guess I just don't see the appeal of *drop guard at pallet->survivor runs to next pallet->repeat until the survivor is stuck in a corner tile->win*
-
At what point was Knight not boring..?
-
Can't wait for the cosmetics to be retroactively deemed seasonal and removed after the event.
-
Weird I remember when only "dead hard for distance was the problem". Squinting hard watching those goal posts moving off into the horizon.

The rush of the terror radius while I try and hide and hope he doesn't find me.
The developers made this a game of hide and seek. They STILL call it that, to this very day. But the community decided "Nah, we playing NASCAR now."
Being that teammate who hides every time they hear terror radius means the killer ends up chasing your teammates more. This means they accumulate hook states faster while you're quivering in the corner.
Hiding can have its uses depending on the situation and distribution of hook states, but if you're on first hook you should be aiming to be chased around mid game at least. Before everyone else is on death hook.

If you're bailing on 85% of your games, that's a you problem. And you're ruining the match for 4 other people every time. Not being nasty, but maybe...play something else for a bit? It doesn't sound like you're enjoying DbD right now.
Far, far too often 'not fun' means 'I might not win' from my experience - and even as an awful survivor, I've seen solo matches turn around pretty hard.
Nobody is forcing you to play. But endlessly quitting matches until you get one that you can win is...just dirty pool.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3319260#Comment_3319260
It's a cute combo, and I'm also someone that plays around with odd perk combinations (stealth Wesker is legitimately great). But...Merciless isn't that punishing if you fail it and it only triggers 5x a match. I'd love to use it more, but it's just on the weaker side.
Kobe Bryant (former NBA basketball player. Died a year or two ago in a freak helicopter crash) wore the number 4 most of his career.
