It's too easy they never learn the basic's to face against moderately good Survivor. It's too easy they never learn the most of the basics of the game. It's too easy they don't learn the loops. It's too easy they don't learn map layouts. It's too easy they don't remember Survivor perks. It's too easy they don't remember window spawns. It's too easy they don't know to mindgame.
It's too easy they have a poor opinion on changes needed in the game.
While experienced Killers that took the time to learn the game, ignore things like the forums because they know that if they don't speak up nothing will change to actually balance the game (balancing the game would make it harder for them) - since all the players that don't understand the actual game will keep providing poor information on the forums not understanding that they still need to learn the basics of the game. These Killers Camp and Tunnel in higher ranks, and ruin the game for everyone. Making all the players leave, and the matchmaking is so bad even new Survivors face them - making them leave too. This leaves BHVR with a problem not keeping players that want to play this game.

I wish they handled this more like what fortnite did with the skull trooper, they gave a special variation to the og's who had it first and let everyone else enjoy the skins normally.
Them taking it away just feels like taking candy from a baby.

I wish the idea of legion being multiple people played more into their power.

Is it because you aren't competent enough in your own skills that you just want out as fast as possible because you aren't able to have an interesting match? Or is it because you want to flex your 2 inches by going "He he, gen go vroom"
I honestly don't understand the point of just making a match as short as possible. Like can you be any more boring of a player? Make interesting plays and have good chases. You're all complaining about how boring it is to hold one button the whole game but you sure seem content to do it anyways, make up your minds.
Because the goal of the survivors is to do gens and get out...? Why would they actively not try to win?

This isn't bait, I'm genuinely curious.
I know the onslaught of reasonings why Deathslinger is no fun to face (to the point of people calling for his removal from the game), and I'm sitting here
'But huntress is WORSE in thise regard'.
Hear me out.
- Yes, Huntress has her humming, but here actual TR is the same as Caleb's, meaning she can benefit from M&A the same and it boils down to survivors looking around. The humming doesn't actually tell you that much about how close she is.
- Yes, Huntress has to charge up her hatches, but in the end it comes down to how good the player can aim. Just like with Deathslinger. She can fake her attacks just the same. Insta-shoots require training, so the 'shoot from the hip' people claim is so common with Deathslinger isn't that common at all (it's likely that a lot of red ranks also play FPS on a regular basis, which, however, will affect their Huntress gameplay as well)
- Iri addons: Deathslinger has to hit within a very narrow margin for the iri coin to allow insta-down, which again comes down to the players abilities, not the design. The iri heads reduce the number of hatchets to 1 (3 with belt) but again, it comes down to the players abilities. you see the head played much more often than the coin. The different hitboxes between the hatchets and the speargun also play into this.
- Huntress has more addons that mess with survivor's healing than Deathslinger, slowing them down quite a bit.
- Huntress' main perks are more powerful than Deathslinger's. Even if just in theory. BoP is great for people good at chases, TI is good when that's your plan, and Lullaby... speaks for itself. DMS only works with the obsession (It wouldn't be broken if it'd work with every survivors) Retri is only worthwhile with another Hex, and Gearhead requires two hits before it progs once before you have to get hits in. Huntress (also due to the lullaby and the hatchet range (though, again, requires an experience player) has more map pressure through lullaby alone, while Caleb has a lot of perks that require him to continuously move around the map without a guaranteed payoff. If we just compare their own perks.
In conclusion:
At bottom line every argument brought up against Deathslinger can be brought up against Huntress too, yet the only beef people seem to have with her is the Iri Head, while Deathslinger can't do anything right.
Why?
Ds' main problem imo is that no matter where he is if he can see you he can hit you, even through windows (with the only exception being used pallets and barriers you can see over) and it is almost instant with no warning.
Huntress on the other hand with her charge up time and audible warning gives you enough time to prepare for a hatchet and shes punished if she doesn't use it.
Deathslinger can just ads and un-ads with no punishment and his ads is so fast that the argument of adopting a different playstyle doesnt work because most of the time if he sees you your getting pulled in. Aka not very much counter play.

I thought I made it clear that it’s not to be expected that survivors will randomly run about trying to find teammates. Just in instances where a survivor has a medkit, self Care, or are already near teammates, healing won’t be delayed.
Ok but I would do that with old thanatophobia anyway, if someone is already there why wouldn't you heal them? I thought the point was to want to try to get to the survivors that are injured to remove the penalty. Not do what the same thing I already do.

Not really weaker. the extra healing time just got shifted to the gens. it's not really a nerf or a buff it's more of a sidegrade, unless you value the extra totem slowdown then it's a buff.
Problem with that is that you bassicly bring forever freddy back if you increase the percentage to much.
They just need to make it that it can't stack with other slowdown effects and then they can make it more powerfull
Yeah I agree actually, making it not stack with other perks and then give a little more boost to the percentage would probably be the way to go.

@TheClownIsKing said:
My eyes are bleeding from seeing all the “tHaNa WaS nErFeD!!” claims.
Has everybody forgotten that Thana is DESIGNED around encouraging/tricking survivors into healing more frequently?!
We need to go back to understand Nurse, and all 3 of her perks. As absurdly powerful as Blinks are, its indisputable that Nurse will have a much easier time hitting stationary targets with Blinks rather than moving targets.
Enter Stridor & A Nurses Calling. Stridor to better triangulate where a survivor is hiding behind obstructions, and A Nurses Calling for a ridiculously easy Blink target. And now for a way to greatly incentivise survivors to actually prioritise healing so that Nurse can set up those easier Blink targets. Thanatophobia. The global debuff was never meant to be oppressive enough that it’s purpose was to directly slow down gens. It was just meant to be enough of a nuisance to survivors that they heal to get rid of it. It’s through more regular healing that game stall for the killer is achieved through this perk, and shorter chases when used in conjunction with A Nurses Calling.
The problem with the devs having stubbornly stuck with this idea of Thana have a global debuff is that it backed them into a corner by having to be very conservative with the percentages. The higher that number gets, the less likely Thana is going to achieve its intended outcome: getting survivors healing, and the killer more frequently catching survivors out in a compromised position. Killers, you can’t have one perk have increased percentages to slow gens down longer AND keep survivors injured longer at no additional compromise, other than simply equipping this ONE perk and doing something you’re already going to be doing anyway: injuring survivors. That just goes to show you don’t care about balance at all. If you want to commit your strategy to keeping survivors injured in conjunction with Thana’s other debuffs, you need to compromise more perk slots to that with either Coulrophobia, Sloppy, or Forced Penance. Deal with it!
This recent change to Thana in regards to gen slow down is redundant. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5% per survivor, 10%, or 15%. Survivors are not meant to just be putting up with the debuff, except where they simply have no choice to because they’re not near teammates and cannot heal themselves. What DOES matter is that healing (where immediately available to injured survivors) will be way more attractive now that they’re aware Thana has no direct healing debuff. It’s your job as killer to CAPITALISE on this behaviour, and adjust your load out and strategy accordingly.
If your using Thana as a gen slow down perk, you’re playing the game wrong.
Just so I get my facts straight thanatophobia got a 1% increase in addition to removing it from effecting healing at all right?
Im not going to actively search for my teammates to heal them instead of gens when the penalty is 5% instead of 4%. A 1% increase just isn't enough incentive to do that.
The penalty should be like 7-8% and then maybe Ill start using empathy more. Until then thanatophobia just got weaker.

Oh wait, you're friends would agree with you? whoa.
Hmmm trying to get the devs attention by setting the title of this to something completely irrelevant to what you're talking about, great way for the devs to see it.
Even if they somehow managed to view this most of the people on this post disagree with your points or don't agree with the way they were stated. So I'm sorry Mr. Keyboard Warrior ( or should I say phone since you are complaining about pc players) but I don't see the devs listening to you.

Oh my god you just said a mouse is a small advantage? How are there people like this?
The difference is one person is using their ENTIRE HAND to manipulate an object meanwhile the person on the console is using their thumb,
hmmmmm. I wonder how many tasks the average human could outperform another human in while using only their thumb while the other person is free to use their entire hand. SPOILER ALERT. None.
"the frames are and issue but thats on the devs" I tried to decipher what that means even though my native language is English. I think I got it. Hmmm its almost like this post IS criticizing the devs. Yeaahhh?
So you disagreed with me when I said they should bring out KBM support on console because it would "benefit pc" yet here you say that it is a large advantage, I sense hypocrisy
Also I thinks it's very obvious what "the frames are an issue but that's on the devs" means, it means you need to find some way to get the devs attention with your issues, not the twenty people that this post reached

So re learn the entire game so we can BENEFIT PC players? What? We bought the game for console. What about our lesser playerbase when crossplay is turned off?
MKB support is really going to help when PC has vastly better visuals. Totally levels it out.
Wow didn't know that learn five buttons on a mouse and keyboard, you don't have to "relearn the entire game" and that doesn't benefit pc players in the slightest, if anything keyboard and mouse support would be great for console because the amount of control you have over your movements compared to controller. My console friends would agree with me.
As for the visuals, don't play on crossplay if you feel someone having slightly better looking grass than you ruins the gameplay. Im sorry you'll have to sacrifice playing with your friends that have different consoles but the devs have never said anything about adding the ability to choose which platforms to play with (which again, would kill pc matchmaking even more) so I don't think it's ever going to happen
-
@Liruliniel said:
So what about the clear advantage that low graphics on PC lets you see the red stain through the wall as a survivor? How is this fair for console players who don't also have this option? How about the massive issues with frame rates that console players have?
Maybe on the x-series or the ps5 behavior will finally give that frame rate boost
Then again they probably will just implement the new graphics and make the game run at a solid 2 frames, buyin a pc is a better choice in my mind anyway
-
@ASurvkillivorer said:
But its TOTALLY not an advantage when PS4, Xbox, and switch players are forced to play PC Huntresses and Nurses if they want to play with each other. What an absolute JOKE. Is this really what you guys had in mind when you did crossplay? To completely ruin the experience of someone just playing solo survivor?
BHVR isn't serious about crossplay. Its just a boon to their PC players at the expense of everybody else.
Oh and someone will surely be like u cAn tUrn It oFf. No you can't. Not without losing the ability to play with another consoles playerbase and a portion of my own consoles playerbase I previously had access to. SO thanks for that BHVR.
So what your asking is to add a system where you can choose what platforms to opt out of playing with so everyone on console can turn pc off and kill the already non-existent matchmaking there? Maybe you should be asking for console keyboard and mouse support instead.

Keep in mind i had kindred.

I'm a PC killer main and it's funny because for me, usually "god tier" killer are boring to me. Nurse, hillbilly and that stuff.
But I've been trying cross play and I can easily beat 4 console survivors with almost every killer in the game.
This is not something about killers being sweaty, is about the differences between console and PC. You just can't compare both platforms unless you are like a really god survivor on console. PC will always have advantages.
Also, I don't need to have mercy for console players because they have the option of "turning off cross play". If they left that on, then that's not my problem.
Since I guess you are a survivor console player, I will explain to you how it is the average killer main on PC.
We usually don't play to get a 4k, but to get a merciless/ruthless killer, peak performance. This means, that we will usually have no mercy in any situation just to get our best scoring possible.
We always play using our brain, map control, map pressure, and logic everytime. This means, we won't take into account survivor's feelings.
But of course, at the end of the game, I will say gg to those who played fair and showed skill.
And we will show no respect to those who acted cocky or showing no respect towards us.
As simple as this.
I completely agree with this but its the same for pc survivors too, unless it's a god console killer I absolutely destroyed them and same for me playing killer

My argument is for paying for perks not character so why Should I argue with base characters when theres no overlap with the ones I mentioned and on top of that I have more experience with DLC characters.
Because to get the characters your saying work best with specific perks also need to be bought, I thought this was about a paywall for people who don't want to buy things. You come across as though everyone has access to the dlc characters like demo and PH which doesn't make any sense if you're trying to argue that people need specific perks for them. The people who would mainly argue this point wouldn't want perks for these killers because they most likely don't have them. All's I'm saying is it would strengthen your argument if you focussed on what all the dlc perks that make base killers better are.
-
I think there just needs to be restrictions on ds
-
@Hi_Hello_Gooday said:
Licensed DLC Characters are locked behind paywalls and this is fine since stronger alternatives are available through purchase with in game shards for killers and survivors themselves are essentially just skins. The real problem at play here is those characters perks. Decisive strike is a full 60 seconds of invulnerability for any survivor off of a hook, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Barbecue and Chili doubles the speed at which you can level up characters and is one of the best information perks in the game, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Save The Best For Last Demogorgen's best perk, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Surveillance a huge bonus for any Pyramid Head player, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Make your choice one of the best perk additions for the Wraith and Freddy, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Of course you can win without any of these perks but that's not the issue, no pay to win game lets you buy automatic wins, they let you buy advantages which these perks clearly are. Now you may say that the shrine of secrets is the answer to my problem but it is nothing but a faulty bandage on a gaping wound. Decisive Strike has shown up 11 times on the shrine, Barbecue and Chili has shown up 4 times, Save The Best For Last 10, Surveillance 4, Make Your Choice 5, and I wont go on to mention how some of the DLC perks from as old as Demogorgen haven't even been listed in the shrine yet. You ask players who do not wish to pay for killers or survivors they don't want to wait for an unlisted amount of time till their perks are purchasable with shards, this is the same thing Battlefront 2 did. Make players grind for months for the chance to get the more powerful tools while others can just pay to get it immediately. All perks should be purchasable for Iridescent Shards and shouldn't be locked behind a pay/wait wall.
Demo and freddy are dlc characters anyway, you'd still have to pay to get them and thus the 15 perks that come along with them. Maybe argue more about the base characters and this would make more sense.

Even if I get locked out for 15 minutes, an hour, whatever, my life doesn't depend on a game. I'm not gonna come here and cry because I can't play my game for FIFTEEN minutes. Its really annoying how just about everytime that someone says " Hey we need to buff this or nerf that," they never say how. If you're gonna say that something should happen atleast present your ideas too, don't just say "do something" because nobody really knows what you want and if something is done about it people probably still complain because the change isn't what they really wanted. So I just had a 3 player SwF, all running Object of Obsession bring an offering to go to Midwich Elementary School. From the moment they spawned they just ran around to stay on the opposite corner of the map to me the WHOLE match.
The random was the only person I could actively chase so they suicided very early after realising that their team were not playing the game properly. I had to run around in circles for about 15 minutes to get two of them to kill themselves on hook while the final guy got hatch.
They got really toxic because I was playing infinite tier 3 Myers (Which I was only playing to use up items before prestige) but had I not randomly done this: they would have wasted even more of my time.
I understand Survive with Friends can be advantageous and a lot of fun but when you & your friend's idea of "fun" is abusing a questionably designed map and a very broken perk to waste the time of other random players and actively ignoring standard objectives, I think they are going just a bit too far. Surely playing the game for the sole purpose of wasting people's time and making them angry should not be okay.
They just told me to keep crying, stop playing broken toxic killers, stop playing solo and get a life. Said that they couldn't be banned for just playing the game (though they arguably weren't).
After 1100+ hours in this game trust me, I'm almost used to people being very uncivil and absurdly hateful at times. But surely doing all of this must be some kind of bannable offense (Even if it is just temporary). It's really unhealthy for people to "play" like this and not have any form of consequences.
Your fun should NEVER be just trying to ruin other people's fun.
Do I report these players? Have they actually broken any rules set out by the developers? Clearly something needs to be done because as long as they keep getting Mary's Letter offerings they can keep doing this to people.

It's not so much that the killer can't be switched out. It's..
A) Survivors can still last second switch, which has been an ongoing issue for YEARS, but they decide to lock killers.
B) There are cheats (that don't require the use of cheat programs, cause this info is literally in a text log file) that allow survivors to see who the killer is before the match starts. The only way to combat this was to switch, last second, as a killer, cause survivors would come up with the optimal kit to render that killers power useless. BHVR said they fixed this, but they half assed it like most things they tend to do. So until this is fixed, locking killers can't be a thing.
The only reason for the lock is to benefit killers so they can get to learn new characters and get better with them. There is no point to locking survivors because the skill level doesn't change with different killers. As for cheating software, I've literally never heard of that until this post

SoloQ survivor main as well. Honestly I think an ingame proximity chat could be pretty cool, like survivors could talk to each other and the killer can hear it too but cant talk back. Then you could also make perks centered around it

@D_Orien said:
Still to this day, there's no survivor perks that try and counter slugging and face camping. So I've created my own.
PERK: LAST CHANCE
Description: If a killer after hooking you stays within 5 metres of you for 10/8/6 seconds, this perk activates.
You can unhook yourself or be unhooked and are fully healed with a sprint burst to boot. Your second hook will instead count as your first hook. So it takes 4 hooks to sacrifice you.
-----------
PERK: ALL TOGETHER (Anti-Slug)
When you and two other survivors are downed, this perk activates.
You can instantly heal yourself to the injured the state and this action applies to the other survivors (so when you heal yourself, they too are healed).
-----------
Now, Decisive Strike is the anti-tunnelling perk but it needs a huge buff, because stunning the killer for 3 seconds doesn't matter when you'll still quickly be downed afterwards. It's buff should be that after using perk, the killer is stunned for 6/8/10 seconds and is blinded for the duration. The timer to use it should pause when in a chase and when downed so a killer can't just wait for it to end.
Im a survivor main and this is ridiculous. Its like asking for any skill and team competency required to win be removed from survivor and make killers unplayable.
