If we need tier scales we can make it have a 128/192/256 range ig?
god we should just remove perk tiers
Perks only really scale up to 128m, as that's basically the entire map except in a few super niche circumstances (like corner to corner Mother's Dwelling or something). It'd be like 64/96/128 like Discordance or Empathy.

what's the point of a the reply?
what kinda of answer oh screw it, engaging with players in this forums sometimes feels so annoying sorry for replying, Christ
and the point was either buffed or not people will tunnel but i guess that's too hard to understand.
That's not a reason to buff tunneling though.

Exposed causes basic attacks to put survivors into the Dying State.
Endurance prevents survivors from going into the Dying State.
-
Old Freddy.
That and soloq improvements.

That’s a good point on Ruin, it would probably either need a cooldown or only activate when a killer damages a gen directly (or have an explicit Ruin exception).
Maybe. If it only activated on a killer directly damaging a gen that'd just be what Alert does without pallets. It'd probably be alright without a cooldown, or even just a short one (like 10 seconds or something).
-
I think it would benefit from showing the progress of the generator through it's Aura, similar to addons like All-Seeing Spirit or Fuming Mix Tape. It's not much, but it'd be neat.
I agree that the 3 gen skill check requirement is kind of annoying (especially if RNG isn't in your favour), and I think it only exists because the developers needed something to scale across perk tiers. If they don't want to remove it completely then I think making it so a great skill check instantly activates the perk would be nice.
Showing the killer's aura for a few seconds when a generator starts regressing is an interesting idea, and would give the perk a lot more utility without treading on Alert too much. I like it. It'd make it INSANE against Ruin though.

Honestly Dance With Me could also use this same treatment. Only removing scratch marks for a small window is simply not that useful by itself.
Either that, or halving the cooldown.
-
Honestly, I think a Boiler Room map in the Springwood realm could be super cool.
-
They probably have those options so reports with those reasons are automatically sent to the trash without a human needing to read them.
-
I still think there should be an option to make the Flashlight beam itself invisible to yourself. This would keep flashlights untouched gameplay wise and probably do a better job at preventing flashlights from triggering photosensitivity
-
Considering that We're Gonna Live Forever actually had to be nerfed from it's release version because it gave too many bloodpoints (and that was only 200%), I find that pretty unlikely.
-
Adding blood and grunts of pain to the effect (it feels pretty useless when injured at the moment), and maybe increasing the duration slightly would go a LONG way.

Man I'm struggling with it. T.T I'm just not good at playing her. For some reason, I tend to miss with her weapon a lot.
You just gotta keep teleporting around, I'd recommend BBQ if you have it, or any similar aura reading perks so you know which TVs to teleport to.

Hey, Trapper mains. Stop using your traps.
I'd say it's more akin to asking Myers players to stop spamming Tombstone Piece every game honestly.

If you add -novid to your launch options you automatically skip the game trailer every time you launch the game.

You should also realize there is a trophy for condemning, what, like, 30 people? It's hard to get too.
It's apply condemned to survivors 30 times. Not that hard honestly.

Lol at asking for nerfs to the worst killer in the game
Asking for a nerf to one specific addon combo*
There's a difference. Sadako needs basekit buffs but Iri Tape and Ring Drawing really aren't ok.

Iridescent Tape is a nuts addon to be honest, I can imagine it'd get looked at
whenif she ever gets a balance pass. -
Shoutout to Neil for composing the soundtrack, it's really a classic.

I'd bring back Old Freddy.

I really like the Finisher Mori changes, I just don't want them to replace the current offerings. They can coexist.

Fun fact! You don’t need the player’s SteamID/gamertag! It is optional when making reports.
Just last week I reported an anonymous Nea, and got them banned.
This. You just need to make an in-game report and provide your own CloudID to support.

They always were.

One of the most upsetting things to me is that the DBD team knows that you still can't upload video evidence to the official reporting form and they know this! They won't fix it though... they e-mailed me saying I have to publicly upload my video evidence to YouTube and then they'll look over it. Are you serious? They really don't care about cheaters otherwise they would make it easier to report them.
If you use the chatbot on the support website you can directly upload videos under 50MB that way.
-
If a survivor held Victor for 2 minutes, that's literally the player's fault. You can recall him after 30 seconds.

I think thats why they couldn't do it on console either. They have recently played with as well. So it might not be so anomyous after all.
I think the reason they pulled it from console is because it was overriding platform features.

I had a buff idea a little while ago, which would give it more opportunities to activate reliably.
@ReverseVelocity said:
Currently, Corrective Action doesn't see a lot of use. I have a buff idea that'd make the perk a lot better at it's job, while not changing it's identity too much.
Corrective Action
You quickly analyse problems and correct others' work when they make a mistake.
You start the Trial with 1/2/3 Token(s) and gain a Token each time you succeed at a Great Skill Check, up to a maximum of 5 Tokens.
Whenever a Survivor within 16 meters of you fails any skill check, 1 token is consumed and their failed Skill Check becomes a good Skill Check.
Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.
There are 2 changes in this idea:
First, Corrective Action now applies to survivors near you, eliminating the need to be performing a cooperative action with another survivor to use the perk. For example, if a survivor is healing you and misses a skill check, it will be transformed into a good one. Furthermore, it will help combat "Phantom Skill Checks", when a survivor lets go of a generator.
Secondly, Corrective Action now applies to any Skill Check, not just regular ones. This means perks such as Oppression, Overcharge and Merciless Storm will now be countered by the perk.
These changes would make the perk a lot less situational, and give a lot more opportunities for it to activate.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on these ideas, and any other changes you'd make to the perk.
-
I agree with the range increase, it really needs to be 128m. However, I don't really think the extra effects on pick up would make the perk worth it.
I think it should reveal the killer's aura whenever they're within 16 meters of a Dying Survivor, kind of like Kindred. It'd give you some decent information even if you're not able to pick up the survivor yourself.
-
You mean Coxcombed Clapper? It's a pretty good addon but I don't think it needs nerfs at all.
If you're struggling against it, make sure you pay extra attention for his Shimmer and listen out for his Snarls, those aren't suppressed by Silent Bell. If you're extra attentive you'll be able to hear the quiet burning sound he makes as he uncloaks.
-
I already offered them a packet of Cheese and Onion Crisps for Old Freddy, they don't accept food it seems :(
-
Legion's Terror Radius was 24m because they were a 4.4m/s killer before their (first) rework.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I actually think the reworked ebony mori is straight up unhealthy. Since you need to kill all 4 survivors and end with a mori to get 20k BP, that just directly encourages slugging for the 4k to get it even if it's going to be a lot more difficult now since survivors can pick themselves up.
And if you don't get it? Well you just wasted 5k BP on an ultra-rare offering.
Yeah, that's a pretty good point. Plus it offers less points than Party Streamers will lol.
-
I don't think it's a good idea in general.
-
You don't need a Steam ID to report anymore, only your own Cloud ID and an in-game report.

I honestly don't get why BHVR seems to think the current Mori system and the "new" Mori system were mutually exclusive to one another.
They can co-exist just fine, why remove one?
Yeah, my point exactly.

Where is the information coming from? I'm late to the party and can't find any announcements.
Bring the trial to a gruesome end with a Finishing Mori. A hint of each Killer’s character shines through with their Mori, whether that’s The Trickster’s showmanship or The Hag’s… questionable diet. The only way to see these animations currently is to use a Memento Mori offering or equip one of only a few select Perks,…Here you go.
-
It also means that survivors get unlimited self-pickups for some reason.
-
@Kaitsja said:
Foresight dictates that, despite it being seen as a QoL change, killers would just go for slug builds. Honestly, neither are good changes but there has to be some give and take.
idk they can keep their QoL changes if it comes bundled with Unbreakable base kit LMAO.

@Thusly_Boned said:

But more people would play just for downs (and not hooks). Slugging would explode as a strat.
It wouldn't really make it any more effective, though.
-
@Thusly_Boned said:
Because if you don't allow survs to pick themselves up, you could just put all four of them on the ground and the game would be over. "Slugging for 4K" would take on a whole new meaning.
I don't care for slugging for 4K, and killers bleeding everyone out is even worse, but 45 seconds is too short. It should be a minute at least.
Overall, this all seems a like a lot of disruption to accommodate what is really a pretty insignificant mechanic (finishing moris) that no one really asked for.
"you could just put all four of them on the ground and the game would be over."
That's how the game works currently, a finisher mori doesn't change that.

Yes, it's very pog. Anything that makes the game more chill is fine by me.
We don't really need basekit Unbreakable, though.
-
@BenOfMilam said:
The two changes are largely unrelated. Neither one justifies the other, as they address separate issues.
Finisher mori's address the long and painstaking process of hooking one of the slugged survivors, waiting for them to try to kobe, then looking for the next one and doing the same thing, repeat two more times. Basekit Unbreakable addresses getting slugged for four minutes, for no discernable reason by a BM'ing killer.
Both are good changes, imo.
The auto-mori already addressed getting slugged for four minutes though, you can't bleed out the entire team anymore.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Seriously, we just asked for an option to bleed ourselves out faster. Slugging is a perfectly normal and valid killer strategy at certain points of the game. Just that no one wanted to lay on the ground for up to four minutes because of some salty or toxic killer.
Yeah, adding basekit self pickups just deletes any pressure you can get from slugging, since there's really no incentive for a teammate to come pick them up.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
The only thing I’m happy about is that it addresses slugging for the 4k. That was long overdue. Outside of that, this system needs some work. 45 seconds isn’t long enough and certain perks/items will create lose-lose scenarios for the killer and will have a ripple effect on several other mechanics.
For example, even if I were to sabo save someone right now and force the killer to drop, the killer still gets some pressure out of the fact that someone still has to stop what they’re doing and go pick that survivor up. Now they can just continue their gen uninterrupted because their teammate no longer needs their help.
I don’t think it’s impossible to make this work, but I am a bit concerned about it in its current state.
Slugging for the 4k is lame, but the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced this is a terrible idea.
-
Body is 1 character too short.

@JackFrostMan said:
I mean, they kinda did the whole "no touching" thing with Sadako's weapon just being her going "BOO! JAPANESE!" and Pinhead's M1 being a weapon that appears out of the void. Same with carrying, I think.
Yeah, Sadako never touches the survivors. That was one of the specifications the license specifically asked for IIRC.
-
Yeah, I think 45s will end up being too short.
