However, Spine Chill and Fixated is anti-spirit, you don't even need Iron Will if you play everything right because you won't be getting hit when she can't find you. :)
It's been said many times, but perks shouldn't be the mechanic to counter a killer. Also, many people play survivor for the fun chases, and hardly anyone enjoys vs spirit. If I had to vs spirit or Nurse every match I would just stop playing survivor.

It's not the Killer's job to make sure you have fun, it's their job to sacrifice you, and I'd say Spirit does a damn good job of that.
The same can be said for killer.. It's not the survivors job to make sure you have fun. There job is to escape?
With your silly mentality 4 ppl hop into queue to ensure you have a great killer experience. 10/10

I'm a weeb and like the Japanese aesthetic. I'm only like that cause I've gotten alot of sexist comments due to my name and profile pic tbh
Ah, I see. Well spirit is not fine in my opinion as it doesn't take much effort to track with sound. It might be harder for some people, but tracking sound isn't hard in my opinion. I don't mind spirit when used on swf because of coordination, but when she is used on solo players it's too easy of a match. Sound tracking has always been a stable in many games and people that are somewhat decent at it will destroy people too easily with her. There is a reason why she is so popular and considered S tier right next to Nurse, and Nurse is getting touched already, so can we really say she is fine? Maybe in a perfect world where my teammates where all top tier survivors she would be fine, but this is a very rng game and my teammates are all potatoes 9/10 times. It's to be expected as well because most competitive players are playing other games for the most part.

Not a Spirit main :) more of a Huntress/Hag
You're cute. Why the spirit profile pic then? <3
-
I agree, this perk is way too strong when in a swf party. It should be disabled from use when in a party at the very least. When it's a solo player it is debatable, but there is no debating the swf advanatage.
-
Says every spirit main.
-
All you see in red ranks really is Spirit, Nurse, freddy, Billy, and the occasional huntress mains. You're lucky to see anything else.

Sounds like you have a bad connection. This is probably the same way every survivor has felt playing in your games, but now, dedicated server punish you instead of them. If you're on wifi, swap to ethernet, should help a lot. Haven't experienced any issues myself at a rock solid 80 ping.
mhmmm. I would get matched with people in the middle of nowhere sometimes, and we weren't playing the same game it seems. Now they get to feel what the survivors felt.
-
At the very least there needs to be an option to launch a playground mode without people in your lobby, so people can learn the maps if they are new. Currently we are putting new players versus 3k hour players for choosing to play with friends, and they have no means of learning certain maps or the perks they are running. They are basically thrown into the lions den with no clue of how to not get instantly downed, and people wonder why they run toolboxes every game and sit on gens.

I'm just tired of going "That should not have hit me." every time the very barest corner of a dropping pallet gets anywhere near me.
Well that's all connection I think. The same can be said about pallet stun landing all the while a hit delays on the survivor still goes through, or fast vaulting a window but getting hit from a reach that shouldn't have landed.
-
That would help certain m1 killers, but at the same time make other killers broken. I don't want to get into which ones, if you play this game on both sides you would know which ones.

They help survivors more because are the one that spends more money in the game. Every time a new skill comes out you will see at least 2 survivors in your lobby with that skin. At the same time, they try to give the minimum they can to keep killers in the game.
Imagine thinking they do the bare minimum to keep killers in the game in 2019.

No, there is no consensus. A few cryhards on the forum do not a consensus make.
Why are you still pinging me, lol. My views aren't based on what others in this forum or videos find strong. I don't think engineers toolbox stacked with a Bran new part is balanced either, but at least you have the option to dodge a lobby if you see a toolboxes in ppls hand.
My views are for both sides to rid of the dumb #########, but you can think I'm only here for one side. I want both sides to have fun, but you can label me a cryhard and think what ever you want. I'm done here.

Exactly, where I was with you at this point. Hence the "sure bud"
At the end of the day time will tell, but this one is kinda obvious and agreed upon by most people. Including spirit mains that have biased towards it, lol.
There's always that chance they leave it alone, but it's only gonna hurt their game and not me. I still put most my time into games with a real competitive scene. This is just a side chick.

Salty over what? The absolute failure of survivor mains to stop any pro killer changes and survivor nerfs over the last few years? Or reading the endless go nowhere rants and spiels calling for nerfs that are inevitably discarded in the waste bin of history?
Im interested in what exactly I should be salty over. Your complaining? You lot complain regardless and if you ever succeeded in getting the viable killers nerfed you'd still take the next killer in terms of threat and complain over that.
Thankfully the devs have come to terms with it and all but ignore it. The game is a lot better because of it too.
Yeah, sure bud. If you think some of these addons are not gonna be looked into your kidding yourself. It's only a matter of time. Games aren't balanced around some potato that can't do well with gen grabber spirit.

you missed the point, that was an exaggeration lol
I know that but it's an extremely high exaggeration. Not to mention a majority of the pallets now are unsafe, and can be blood lusted/mind-gamed without much effort.
I recommend you use spirit fury, enduring and hold down the W key because people exaggerate numbers close to what they experience, and this is out of the realm of norm.
Also, I agree viable killers need to exist, but people like to pretend certain addons are balanced because of what ever reasons. And as it stand most people that play spirit run said broken addons.

let's just quietly forget all the examples of possible mind games and perk builds that could counter her, and be ignorant to the fact that viable killers need to exist. Having 50 pallets slammed on your face gets old fast.

50 pallets he says. They all must be safe pallets in your eyes as well, I bet. Lol

If you were really as good as you claim you'd only use m1 to down a survivor but only after cycling through each survivor with an m1 attack while running no perks and refusing to use your power.
You wouldn't be bothering with these mediocre displays of skill. Powers are for noobs. Addons are for noobs. Perks are for noobs.
Get absurded son-son. I'm bout this life.
Seems like your salty for sure. If you dropping games with the likes of Gen grabber spirit on a regular basis you might as well uninstall. Or for the very least don't put in your silly comments in about what is balanced.

I'm telling you, all these people complaining must be in the middle of nowhere. I have had zero issues today at all in California.
I live in the west coast as well, so if the devs by any chance read these comments they at least know those servers working ok.
Some people have complained about Nurse not working properly or something, but I'm watching Tru3talent play Nurse just fine right now, and he's from EU.

I took a few hits like this, it wasn't 2 sec, but they for sure shouldn't have landed. I'm not seeing the issues some of these people posted in videos, but the servers definitely have problems.
-
I didn't have issues nowhere near this. There were a few sketchy hits over pallets, but nothing out of the norm. You guys are all probably extremely far from the servers.
I played over 10+ matches np
-
They seem alright so far to me, but I have noticed a few sketchy hits at pallets that shouldn't have landed. Overall those hits would of landed on their host regardless. At least I'm not seeing 150-200 ping lobbies now.

Awwww poor thing. Go play some spirit and feel good about yourself. You'll get over it.

No, it's not. You lost that match by 3 gen yourself. At that point try to find a key and the hatch or run into the killer.

i am a rank 1 spirit and i can't get enough of her, i adore her, i main her, i prefer her over nurse, and i think spirit is harder than nurse, and it is easier for survivors to survive the spirit because if as i spirit i ######### up, i am a 110% killer until i have my power back, if i dont hit survivors first, using my power is really hard, i can hit them, but more often then not i won't, if they are injured and they don't have iron will or a realaly big window, it's rip, but at least i have to give the first hit, unlike nurse, i don't have do, if you don't use speed add-ons, she isn't that good, if you don't use stridor, hearing can be slightly difficult, she is balanced in everyway, i don't see you, i can only hear you and see where you went, that's it, why are you complaining so much? i am blind!
spirit is simply perfect and i LOVE to play against her, even when it's a godlike spirit like me, i enjoy it, being mind game or mind game a spirit is rewarding and it save you and your team time.
spirit should never be changed, she is perfect, she is balanced, she's in the right place, a really high tier killer that require skills, we are allowed to have strong killers, and you should learn to counter instead of crying and disconnecting
Nobody is impressed at people who hit rank 1 on spirit bud. It's legit the equivalent of running a 4 man Squad sweat team with Meta perks to rank 1 on survivor. Nobody is impressed by that either.

@PGJSF said:
Yes she is, but no one will ever admit it.
They are defending it because they are biased killer mains who want tools to destroy 4 man SWF on comms. It's really that simple. They tell everyone to git gud all the while playing the easiest killers in the game.
These killers require a learning curve but so does cooking a dam egg. Sad part about it is there is actually people in the world who can't cook basic #########, but it doesn't make the process hard.
They play spirit because they find the other killers hard to play, it's that simple. They want their best choice to win not nerfed because they want to keep their crutch.

Anything the survivors run...the killer can run something stronger. If you suspect a squad who might be good and have the meta perks with insta-heals, all you have to do is put on double purple add-on Spirit, Omega Blink Nurse, or Iridescent Head Huntress all with an Ebony Mori and you won’t lose. I never ever complain about what survivors run because I know I can make my game easy and run equal BS on the killer side and the game would be fair. I don’t get the purpose of saying survivors run broken BS when the killer can run BS that is even more broken is their favor.
I won’t deny that insta-heals are stupidly strong, but so are ebony moris. It’s a trade-off.
Nurse and Spirit at BASE can still destroy most survivors. Especially Nurse.
You don’t know exactly what players are running but you have a slight indication of what they are running. 4 toolboxes? 4 med-kits? 4 flashlights? Did they all join together? You can always switch to a stronger killer and an ebony without them knowing who to prepare for while YOU know what to prepare for.
Players tend to forget that if the killer WANTS to win, it’s pretty damn easy to equip the add-ons, perks, or offerings to do so.
Basically this, but people don't seem to understand playing Nurse or spirit isn't hard.
*Playing Nurse or spirit = 2/3 man SWF meta perks
*Playing Nurse or spirit with their best addons= 4man SWF meta perk sweat comm team
Very simple to understand for the killer biased mains.
Running into any of these in solo queue is more than likely an instant loss unless you are blessed by RNG gods to have above average competent teammates.
-
Yeah, cuz every spirit totally isn't gonna run prayer beads. Kappa

Exactly, and the same applies to second hook stage. I get they want immersion, but my dam keyboard is more important. Pressing those keys isn't had and sometimes you just die on second hook stage due to a lag spikes anyways if the killers got bad internet. I'm all for an automatic struggle on both, I don't need no killers pity either, if they want to let one go they will do so regardless of this implementation.
This will also stop people from just dying on hook to derank.

Yeah, but I’m also not trying to have to work extra hard every game because all of a sudden I’m forced to have to play at a competitive level with no incentive to even go through all that stress.
It’s not about getting good. Or learning tiles. Like I said I’m Rank 1 survivor so I know how to react. It’s about all the things Red Rank killers deal with and how the game just immediately becomes unfun due to it.
Both sides have to deal with some extremes that they find unfun, and everyone has different opinions. Being a Rank 1 survivor doesn't mean you instantly have the skillset to be a rank 1 killer as well. You can RNG your way to rank 1 survivor with somewhat average looping if you manage to avoid spirit and nurse mains in general because you have 3 other teammates. I can't count how many rank 1 survivors I've seen now that drop in the first 20 sec of a chase, so rank means nothing to me really, due to my experience of holding other rank 1s hand in solo queue.
Also both sides become less fun when people stop playing for fun and take the game too serious. This instantly happens at red ranks for the most part, as it becomes harder for the killer to get a 4k, and the survivor to run around any competent Rank 1 killer for extended periods of time all while still escaping.
Anyways, that's just my opinion of course. I recommend a break.

It has had a negative impact. I tried bringing friends in with the stranger things chapter. And things where going well until this update. Now they are likely never to return unless its changed to be more fair for all players not just low ranked killers.
Since the blood hunt ended, I'm sure they will see their numbers dropping. Tons of people were playing because of the bloodhunt mainly despite the issues. Anyone who wanted BP quickly was on killer, lets be honest.
Those who queued during BH on survivor, bless your souls. ty

Got ya.
I've actually been unhooked by a teammate in the basement before and killer was proxy camping entire time waiting, so I hop in a locker and he proceeds to count to 60 sec. Totally not tunneling tho, right? They don't understand the perk.

Nomen est Omen?
In the 3year anniversary Stream they mentioned about changing the Killer Ranks so that there is a ranking between each Killer and not all of the Killers. This would be really cool, because then someone who is not that good with a certain Killer, can play this Killer in a more relaxed environment. Someone can be a really good Spirit, but a not so good Hag, but will not get stomped when playing a Killer they are not familiar with.
Furthermore, people who are playing weaker Killers but are not dedicating themselves to those weaker Killers, will not rank up as high as people who only play that one Killer, meaning that the latter will match Survivors which are at a higher Rank than those who are only playing a Killer casually.
I agree with him on his previous comment, but idk about the separate ranking thing. It sounds cool, but once you are experience enough with one M1 killer it isn't that hard to pick up a new one. As long as those who rank up one M1 killer to rank 1 start off at like 10 on a fresh one I see no major issue, but 20 is pushing it, lol.

And that paragraph is how it should be, which many people don't seem to understand. They say "I can't 12 hook 4k these really strong, good survivors with my legion! IMBA!" It's like...of course you can't? The thing is, every killer has the potential (yes, every killer) to at least tie even the best SWF teams (if that killer is one of the best too), and plays well in that game.
Unfortunately this ranking system has squewed many killer's views of what a win and a loss is. Yes, some of the lower tier killers could use some maintenence, but acting like killers are getting hard bullied is a flat out lie. The best killers are able to perform against the best survivors. Period. One of the streamers I would recommend you people watch is Sal-gu. Go watch him handle those big bad skilled SWF groups.
All the doom and gloom from unskilled killer players is getting so old.
This guy gets it.
I've personally always thought certain killers should just be tied to certain maps personally. Some struggle mainly because of maps they are placed in.
-
You find Red ranks to suck because it the point in the game where you need to finally learn map tiles, and how to run them so you don't get looped forever. You can reach Rank 1 on a majority of killers, but the most common are Spirit, Nurse, huntress because you don't have to learn anything but the killer for the most part.
You can get rank 1 on Ghostface, freddy, Wraith, Legion, but you just have to work harder. Freddy and Ghostface are way easier than the other two tho.
-
Solo survivor is how you get good at the game because 9/10 times your team is ######### and an average killer you loop for a while will kill all of you. If you can't find the hatch of course.
-
I've seen multiple rank 1's get instantly downed by none top tier viable killers on a daily basis.
Red ranks at rank 1 have a huge spectrum from straight dodoo to very good looper, and I always see the dodoo. We also got to keep in mind that at the highest level of play we are extremely greedy with pallets. I will take the hook more often than not to save a really good pallet.
People cry out about imbalance for a number of reasons, but SWF is among the top contributors. They feel only a select few of things are viable because they lost horribly a few times versus a full sweat squad on comms. Also, they thing they are the greatest killer in the game when they are far from it.
-
It's a 3rd party software to see who the killer is before the match starts. Many people just block certain killers, and proceed to never join their lobbies again. I personally don't use it as I feel I shouldn't have to use such a thing to get a decent experience.
This is why some of us probably end up in the sweatiest of lobbies tho. A ton of others people have just blocked them.
-
Is this a really late April fools joke? I don't even think people who run MLEB get that kinda experience consistently. I don't use it and just run into the biggest sweat spirits, nurses, or proxy campers on a regular basis. It's come to a point where I only see like 4 different killers 90 percent of the time. It's either Spirit, nurse, freddy, huntress, and getting one of the last two is a blessing.
And when you do get one of those last two they are likely Twitch streamer sweats with like 3k hours, so dam right I'm sitting on a Gen. I want no part of that Lag huntress hitbox hitting me around corners. I'm sorry TTVS

The Emblem System right now:
As Survivor: If you are too good, you depip.
As Killer: If you are too good, you depip.
Yes it could also be, that the otherside just is bad that match, but still you would depip without grinding for some points or toying with your opponent...what is a tad toxic imo.
The Emblem System also don't account for alternative playstyles and meme-builds that work by tackling other aspects of the game.
My best advice, enjoy your free derank and have fun with easier games and faster queue times.
Wrong, as killer you can play spirit or Nurse and at the minimum black pip. Somewhat accurate tho. I don't give a crap about rank at this point, but all I face at where I am is spirits.

That's a personal issue. Deviousness doesn't help a killer pip either. Both sides have their crosses to bear.
A personal issue? Lol, so biased. Playing spirit is a guaranteed black pip at worst for the killer, and so is Nurse.
So survivors are suppose to just play stealthy all game because of one killers extreme chase potential and accept it. All the while already getting less BP per match on average than killers do. Just accept it and play like a big bish even tho you got to win chases and interact with the killer to PIP. What a fucken joke LOL
10/10 not biased I need to just git Gud

Try stealth. Spirit doesn't have any detection that isn't a perk and every perk can be countered.
You have no entitlement to safety, to a guaranteed successful counter, or an easy game.
Stating the devs killed stealth because you know that's the answer you are going to get doesn't mean anything. It is your counter and it's the only one you're going to get. Pallets work on Spirit, as do vaults so no nerfs are coming.
The problem with stealth is it doesn't do anything for the survivor to Pip. Nor can you really stealth all game versus any competent killer. A full stealth squad game would earn both sides nothing.
-
The major issue here lies in people's differences to what is hard. Some people find spirit to be high skillcap and some of us don't because we are all different. Some of us can land every hex skill-check and some of us can't. Some of us can hear people without stridor very easily and some of us can't. Some of us can hear footsteps and some of us can't. Some of us can afford a headset and some of us can't. LOL, ya'll get the point.
I'ts very well known in the community that she is top tier with less of a skill-cap than most killers. If you don't see it than I don't know what to tell ya. It's the reason why she is picked so much in every rank of play.

Remove her from the game entirely. It's a handicap mode for killers just like fighting games. It should just be removed.
