Pretty much, they can go with mori cut the game in half, use broken killers and you depip, 4 players having a lame game because 1 decided to have ¨fun¨ at the expense of others.

Whats fun? camping and tunneling? this blood hunt event is terrible, all the tryhards taking the game hostage so nobody get points, and then they complain about dc´s.

Game is too killer oriented, they even have BBQ and bonus points, survs are having hard times to get points, and in red ranks if the killer chases you the whole game and you cant do gens its a depip even if you escape.

Yup. But, tons of people still think that they game is only catered to survivors, which is funny. Playing survivor right now is a huge waste of time when you can play killer and have control over the match and BP gain. Your only real hinder is people that Dc.

Also, hitting rank 1 is easier than before as you get a ton of fresh yellow, green, purple survivors to bully, but you know?? game is survivor oriented.

I heard that the game in 2016 was meant to be hide & seek, while today its about the chase & loop.

Hide & seek is something I prefer more as a survivor, staying a small space and Killer walks pass but not seeing you. Though I understand its super boring in Killer perspective because barely see survivor to slice them, which is Killer's main gameplay.

I find myself running at the killer and being in his terror radius just because of the way this game is designed for Blood point gain. Bold, escape, distraction, but when you crouch or flashlight at the killer to chase you, I'm labeled a toxic survivor because of my play style. Kinda funny, right?

Basically the killer doesn't even need to be a good tracker with an average headset, or run tracking perks because the game ensure you run at him.

This game is so great in some aspects, but such a let down in others. I haven't even been playing much this BP event because of the matchmaking. I play killer I feel bad for the potato in my lobby running in a straight line or hiding in a locker without quick and quiet, and I play survivor and than they are on my team. 10/10 they never loop more than 5 sec, but are matched with 1-4 killers. I don't want them in my lobby on either side.

Doing gens and the exit are not your whole objective. Your full objective is to do gens, help/assist others, and get out. You are missing the help/assist others completely, and it is 50% of your overall objective, as it covers healing, body blocking, distracting the killer, and evading the killer. All you did was evade the killer, and you weren’t very successful at that.

It is this misunderstanding that makes survivors think they are entitled to things that they haven’t earned. Play the game correctly, and you will be rewarded. Play the game as you have, and you’ll be added to the list of survivors who believe that they are entitled to a win every match.

LOL, seems like you don't understand the post. If he were to run at the killer and give them free hits because he's bad that would made the killer entitled to make us play a certain way to pip, right? Even when some of these average killers catch someone we have to compete with 3 others for the unhook, all the while the killer is Proxy camping.

How is he suppose to get heal and distraction points when the killer is just terrible, or the survivor who is being chased doesn't even need healing? I've actually had matches where I had to run at the killer and force them to chase me.. Does that make the killer entitled in your view? I have to give them chances because they were unable to play their current picked killer well?

Please think logically from both sides before commenting. Both sides have major problems.

  • Funniest part about all of this is if the killer is too good, trolling with mori, or your teammates are bad, you are likely to depip as well. Basically, the survivor needs to hope the killer is above average and not sweating with beads/ try hard addons to make up for lack of skill.

The survivor needs to have all sorts of circumstances that need to happen, but the killer just needs a few to play out correctly. There are a few things out of his control like DC, but for the most part he is in control of his PIPS.

The main reason survivors Gen rush is because that truly is the only objective. It's not a survivors job to go couch infron of the killer then proceed to be called a Toxic T-bagger. The killer is suppose to find the survivor and there are plenty of perks to aid in that regard.

For example, when ever I face a wraith, clown or w/e killer, I'm sitting on that gen at the same pace as if it's a Omega Nurse or Bead spirit. Why do I have to hold the killers hand? I already got to hold 3 other survivors hands while I play. You think every unhook is safe? and every survivors unhook on me is a smart play?

It's so rare to get those circumstances where you get a team that plays smart versus for example a spirit/nurse. I've beaten Omega nurses and bead spirits many times only because the RNG graces were on my side for that match. Don't get me wrong the ratio is way in favor of the killer, but it's possible in a few matches, and we take what we can get.

Funny thing is I've depip from playing an Omega Nurse who couldn't find anyone on the map. I don't even think they found anyone the entire match. I had a full closet, corner hugging team ready to troll this Nurse, and not give them any chases. The depip was worth the time invested sitting behind objects, but that match took way too long. This was in Springwood.

Also, a killer is in control of how fast a 4k happens, so don't blame a depip on that. Multiple times I could of ended a game super early, but I let people wiggle. Don't pretend like your not in control of the match.

This is unnecessary and uncalled for.

OP was just saying killers get more BP than survivors because survivors hardly get everything, especially when WGLF requires you to be altruistic. Not everyone can be altruistic, sometimes you're the teams gen-jockey or runner. Getting a combination of 4 unhooks and protection hits is absurd because you're talking about getting 4 unhooks when survivors only have 8 hooks before they start getting sacrificed.

Protection hits aren't any better, there's a reason why Mettle of Man is near impossible to activate.

I remember someone saying you should get a token after cleansing a totem, completing a generator, safely unhooking survivor, and healing a survivor FOR THE FIRST TIME. :)

This would help, and I can say this, I never seen a survivor get the sum of 32K from all categories Bloodpoints in my 1000+ hours, so this should definitely say something.

I'm pretty sure the OP knew I was trolling, but I can point that out for ya. I know there are tons in these forums who will come out with some bullshit point that they need more BP for w/e reason, just getting them ready for DBD logic. Look, just scroll up we got a winner spirit main. We all know spirit definitely is handicapped to oblivion like nurse with no addons. I need me my beads because matches are very hard with no addons.

  • brah, you need to tell your yellow survivor buds to get good. Just look at this as punishment for being a toxic survivor main.

This happens at red ranks too. It's another get gud survivor main for me.

  • @Jeffcomet said:

feel like some people are missing the point that i don't want it to be easy for me or my friends i just don't want them to get destroyed by a red rank killer as i also don't want to destroy a rank 20 killer both extremes are bad

Brah, people in here miss very obvious points, it's actually sad. I'ts gotten to the point I've stopped trying to reason with people and just troll in these forums. There's people in here actually loving the change and defending it like it's the best thing that's happened in 3 years since release.

I feel you man, but we got to keep in mind a lot of people in here are probably kids and have very narrow perspectives. As long as the changes work for them it's a "get GUD, bro" lol

You will never rid of it. Don't even bother trying.

That's why I told you not to mention killers :)

Your topic holds more than enough substance without accounting killers into the equation.

Survivors need many more bps that's UNDISPUTABLE

Yeah, you tell them not to use a reference point. I don't know how they don't realize these are the killer Forums. They are just TOXIC, and never learn these survivors.

  • @RakimSockem said:

Playing Killer during Double BP is a joke (in the sense that it's too easy). You don't even have to change you're build because BBQ is already meta. At most, you might see a few more killers running Thrill of the Hunt for the extra BP. So you have killers going around running what they always run and getting between 100k-200k per match NOT farming.

And the you have the survivor side where you have to waste a slot running We're Gonna Farm Forever for stacks you may not even get, Prove Thyself, AND escape cakes/party streamers and HOPING you don't get tunneled or camped by some ######### looking to ruin your day and leave with like 60k.

I'm not asking for anything to happen to the amount of BP killers get. What I need is a boost to the amount of BP survivors can get OR to make the survivor bloodpoint boosting perks more useful in the same way that BBQ is one of the most powerful perks in the game AND gives double BP. Or just add bloodpoint boosting effects to more survivor perks.

As it stands right now, survivors can get extra BP from WGLF, Prove Thyself, and offerings.

Killer can get extra BP from BBQ, Beast of Prey, Thrill, Distressing, Offerings, AND their add ons (300% boost for no teleport Hag, 100% for terror radius Wraith, speed limiters for the chainsaw killers). You can run upwards of 300k a match running all those things. Freaking insane.

NAH,NAH!!! forget you silly survivor main. This is called DEAD BY DAYLIGHT! You will not live forever, and the lucky one of you who gets that unhook will meet MAKE YOUR CHOICE, and be next on the hook. I'll make sure of it because I hate survivors and all they stand for. They are all toxic and you can't change my mind that the game is made for you and all your survivor friends.

I'll see you in matchmaking, bye.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

as for bloodpoints, survivors already got buffed by the amount of bloodpoints they get.

as for gameplay. all what survivors need is a secondary objective

Another objective you say? Do you realize not every team is a SWF? It's already easy enough to 4k, but sure let's make it easier.

Let's pretend like we don't have Make your choice gamers making the 4k much easier on spirit as well. Let's keep up the great work, and ensure the lobbies are dead of survivors. It's DEAD BY DAYLIGHT anyways, not survive by Daylight, am I right? silly survivors.

I can't wait for the day we rid of those silly people and we can finally fight eachother

Like the movie Freddy vs Jason. Am I right???

  • Make the game cross play so these Ps4 red ranks can meet real sweat. I would like them to meet Nurse and Huntress and hold rank 1 here solo queueing.

From what I hear seems like you guys need cross-play already. I've heard a lot of complaining about queue times on Ps4 in here. I wish you guys luck.

  • @TruEternity said:

So, I don’t actually think that, but with the opinion a lot of people hold, it seems that way. Let me explain. I’ve just recently come back from a 10 month break, so my rank is pretty low (just got to 8 as killer a few days ago). Thing is, I was rank 1 on both sides for quite a while before I quit, so I was used to the high rank meta.

Why do I mention this? Because of the matchmaking changes. It makes killer far too easy outside of the dreaded 4-man rank 1 swf. I know it’s not the overly popular option among killer mains (at least here it seems), but it’s not that hard at high ranks. I’d say 1 out of 5 games are those super sweaty try hard high ranks who just want to end games in 3 minutes. Even at rank 1, there are large variations in skill. The difference between a 500 hour rank 1 and a 1500 hour rank 1 is noticeable.

This brings me to my point finally. The matchmaking changes do not benefit skilled killers at all. I get that was kinda the point, but most players here (at least by contents of their post egos) shouldn’t care. That rank 19 new player who’s never got a 4K shouldn’t affect you if you’re good. It seems to me most people who are happy about these changes are just awful at the game, so why are we catering to bad killers? It now makes more killer game boring. Why? You either get full try hard games, or games where it’s stupidly boring to kill someone. Honestly, if I’m rank 1 killer, I should never play a survivor below purple ranks, and even then, it’s easy. I don’t care if there’s two rank 1’s in a swf, I don’t want to face incompotent survivors, swf or not.

Now, I know this will make people scream that I’m survivor biased, I’m not. These changes mean nothing to me, I can stil get pips and bp, regardless if I survive the trial.

Tl;dr: Everyone here is actually bad at the game, and just like to whine over stupid things.

They are awful at the game, but they don't care to improve so they blame others for their misfortune, as long as it benefits them. It's the way of the world, and it happens even outside video games, sadly. As long as the change keep them happy, they will defend it, and I don't really blame them at this point. I don't like the change, but I'll deal with their SWF in my survivor, and killer lobbies till the Devs see the statistics of how its hurting them more than helping.

When I first started playing I got introduced to the 4 man SWF flashlight sweat team just like everyone else, but I learned how to adapt, look at a wall, look up, bait the pick up, slug more of their team,.. Like is that really that hard? looking at a wall... It took a google search to learn the counter plays for ######### sake. If any of you ######### killers reading this just run lightborn, because what I laid out right here probably still too hard to understand.

The same applies to every dam tile of wall on the maps to ensure hits and better mind game. Like if you can't even get to red with freaking google and youtube, and all the dam meta builds holding your hand for ######### sake, I don't know if you ever will get there. I'm sorry If I sound like a douche bag, but I'm tired of all the crying and the inability to adapt.

I wish you all the best, and please use google search if your not past rank 8 on killer after at minimum 200 hours, and that's being generous with time.

  • Gen rush is only a problem when vs bad killers and SWF with toolboxes, and brand new parts that are also efficient at looping. Toolboxes shouldn't even be a thing, nor should brand new parts in my opinion.

I urge you to play a ton of solo queue survivor right now during this BP event and let me know your escape ratio at red ranks 1-3 at minimum. If we balance this game around coordinated SWF beating ######### killers solo queue will continue to suffer.

If your losing with spirit, nurse, billy, with dying light and Ruin right now you aren't that good to begging with. I hit rank 1 on killer before I did on my survivor and I play my survivor it more, lol

Maybe I'm unlucky to run into all the spirits and nurses/ billy players, but solo queue can be a struggle and you have a very biased perspective if you aren't playing both at the same level. The toxic Gen rush SWF sweat teams happen, but not as much as people like to portray here on the forums.

  • @Jeffcomet said:

I am extremely upset with the new update causing swf to play against killers of the highest rank in your party. I think this is a very bad change causing me to not be able to play with my friends AT ALL. i was even starting to get some of them into the game and them wanting me to teach them now i can't cause i am red rank and all the killers have a heyday killing them leaving me useless cause i have nothing to work with. They can't ever get better at the game cause they die too quickly and i can only get them to play if its with me. i hope a change can be found to make all happy.

It's not only affecting you from playing with your friends, but solo queue at red ranks in general. I get yellow and greens in every lobby I join and you can see this trend with some streamers as well having to leave a majority of lobbies because they know what will happen. Anyone with any sense knows a rank 1 killer should not have yellows in his lobby, but some people don't get that sadly.

  • My stance has always been that both systems were #########, I've said this many times before on these forums, and why. Don't pretend like you haven't spoken to me before on these forums. I remember your stubborn stand points from before.

Anyways, the new implementation is worse than the last one as it's destroying red rank lobbies for both killer and survivors. They are forced to destroy these noobs that have no idea what they are doing because they are trying to play with friends. It's become extremely easier to 4k at red ranks because of it.... Lobbies are faster but survivors solo queueing are forced to deal with it and killers have no idea if a noob is in their lobby.

I've delt with the older system that tried to pool average, it was by far better in my opinion. A rank 10 should be able to deal with a 20 and a 5 for example. If he can't deal with that he will never learn how to improve. No rank 15-20 or person his level is gonna loop efficiently to show them what to avoid chasing, and what to commit too. I get you want to have a fun experience, but dealing with some SWF sometimes was part of the learning curve, at least for me. Create early pressure, and find the weakest link if possible quickly to get people off gens. Learn counter looping, mindgames, moon-walking if you want to commit a chase to the strongest person on the SWF, don't sit there and complain after chasing them and getting outplayed and refusing to find the weaker links in the team.

Some of the strongest teams at red ranks aren't even SWF, they are just rank 1s who are efficient without comms. As you can see happening right now, any decent rank 1 is destroying these SWF, and just feels bad, lol.

Mark my words if this system is kept people will stop playing this game. It's basically anti-playing with friends atm. That's all this game had going for it for some people. We can't forget it takes 4 survivors and one killer. One killer to launch a lobby, one killer to perform in his match. If he is hard stuck at what ever rank, he is just stuck because of refusing to accept it might not just be his performance.

At red ranks I got to rely on a level 20 to not make a stupid play because it's not a one man effort, it's a team effort. I get some SWF are toxic at some levels, but you can't just throw them to red ranks as punishment, lol. Not all SWF are toxic and some are just suffering because they want to play with friends.

  • I haven't played CS-go in ages to tell ya, but any system that doesn't pool on average to try it's best to balance both sides is a ######### system. In league for example you can have a chanllenger queue with a Diamond, and the system tries it's best to pool the other team with same. It tries it's best to have the discrepancy to be as small as possible.

Also, the Cs-go system is contrary to what you are trying to defend. If it truly is that way there than they for example are not letting rank 1s queue with 10s. So you agree that rank 10-20s shouldn't be in red rank lobbies right?

" That's a them problem" But it really isn't just a them problem.. You really are interesting to try and reason with. They affect anyone in red ranks solo qeueing, so it becomes my problem as well.

Why don't you just say as long as the system doesn't affect you, it's fine... Honestly you ignore a lot of very obvious points.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/716203#Comment_716203

All the more reason why the weak link should train in low ranks first to avoid holding back the team when they do decide to go SWF, no?

I've said this many times in these forums " No amount of training will help some people" Forever 10-20, and they will always get rekt when they try to play with friends.

The problem with that for some of us is that they are in our solo queue lobbies as well..

I for example am forced to play with these people or wait another 5 min trying to find nothing but red ranks. one red rank 1 can bring his 20 and ruin the entire match lol

It might not be affecting you, but it's hurting Red ranks

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/716189#Comment_716189

I mean, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'll gladly own up to that. For what it's worth, a game like Rocket League skews towards the highest ranked player if the gap in rank is wide. Not a hard "highest-rank" but it is closer to that than to a flat average.

I don't play rocket league and no serious person that wants a career in E-sport does, but if they have a different system, good for them.

CS-go, league, Dota, COD, and so on have an mmr type system which tries it's best to make sure the team is as even as possible. The thing with DBD is that a rank 1 killer only has to rely on his performance and in DBD it's a team effort. One weak link basically decides the match. If you can't understand that, im sorry.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/715894#Comment_715894

From what I've heard other people say, other games have friend groups matched based on the highest ranked member.

That's not how it works in competitive games which ya'll seem to think this is.. Take league of legends or any E-sport game and it pools average MMR.

    Nice try tho

  • It's not about taking the game seriously, it just gets old. If anything they are taking the game way too serious by running the most try hard build??

Did you ever think about that lul

  • Nurse with ruin and mori, and was checking peoples profiles before match starts because got forbid he has to play a SWF. Can we please get a block person from ever joining in the same lobby again? I don't mind trying hard but the amount of tunnel and hook camp sweat is insane when your already playing high mobility killers. These people just do it to be toxic at this point.

I won 9 out of 10 matches, the match that I lost was with billy who I suck with.

    btw, game number ten.

It's really dependent on the map and how optimal the survivors are. As you found out if the team isn't optimal they get destroyed Ruin or not. Of course it also takes still from your part, but I'm talking about equal skill level on both parts, so please don't take it as me trying to take credit from ya. I think it's cool when people try different things and don't run meta builds.

@Regionlock then we'll have mass complaints because skilled players deranked and unskilled killers are getting long wait times or destroyed because they ranked up to easy.

Killers from mid ranks to high will get the brunt of this and that will drive another round of survivor nerfs. The best yet will be no lobbies for killers and it'll flip again.

SMH they need casual mode because this is just baaaaaad.

It's way too easy to rank up as killer right now so killers who where never that good must be loving this change. If you play survivor solo queue you are likely to get the biggest potatoes dying to the killer who approves of these changes because he doesn't want to learn map tiles or how to mind game, he just wants to press W key.

It's actually a struggle to find a lobby on survivor right now.

  • @Kralle said:

There arent any SWF in the picture above. Every person joined in a few seconds after eachother.

I was the first one with my rank 4. It is fine with the rank 5 killer. But come on, rank 18 without any SWF? Lul.

There is no way that wasn't a SWF. There is sometimes a slight delay in join time between players to the killer. It also could of been two separate groups. That level 2 could of been with the 18 and the 4 could of been with the 9 for example.

And I'm with you btw, I'm just saying it's working as intended. I think it's silly as well.

Guess the matchmaking is still broken when it comes to rainbow match up. Wasnt this fixed?

That was the fix. It's working as intended..

They were matched with you because of the level 2 and 4. At low purples it's very common to face rank 1 survivors sometimes, so that seems normal, as it's suppose to look for a killer for the highest rank in the party of SWF. Queues seem faster now, but the matches are also much easier, as you can just kill the potato in the group and make it a 3v1.

Ranks 1-4 are also getting these exact rainbows.

Or maybe it's just a way for the Rank 20 to improve so that they stand a better chance when they pair up with their rank 1 friends.

And yes, de-ranking is bad. I would report the de-ranker for deliberately de-ranking.

and this one wasn't? I'm confused as the only reason I mentioned it was because of your double standard, but proceed to live in your bubble.

  • I knew this would happen, a majority of my games are people just running into me to get one hooked. At this rate purple rank killers can finally reach red ranks cuz they don't got to learn anything about the dam game. Gj

  • It depends on your build, but head on can be useful if your running DS or quick and quiet to meme some killers. Just make sure you spread your scrath marks around and don't make it too obvious.

If you run in with DS, you can basically force the killer to eat your DS or get hit by a Head on if he gets close enough as well. Basically saving your DS for another hook, but any competent killer will fake you at the locker, so this rarely happens.

  • Because it hurts a HUGE portion of the playerbase. The queue times are long on both sides now, and people who aren't that good at the game will refuse to play with some friends because they are red rank. That affects me personally and many other who play this game.

No matter how much they try they will always get steamrolled by red rank killers. This started as a chill casual friendly game, but people want to make it out to seem E-sport.

If you want true balance their needs to be a casual mode where people can play with their friends, and not have to worry about a sweaty match versus a Nurse or spirit. I don't even have fun myself at red ranks because that's the majority of what I see.

Are you against a ranking system where people are actually awarded for their rank?

Are you against a casual mode where all levels of play can queue?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/713338#Comment_713338

If those friends who are of a lower Rank work to improve themselves, then the impact this has on the group lessens considerably. If they choose to go into the high ranks by joining a friend at high ranks, then they should understand what they are signing up for.

Other thread if you want to continue discussing. it's turned into spam here at this point " the they should know what they sign up for" isn't a fix.

  • This just flipped the script on people trying to play with friends. This just benefits one smaller group of people who justify it by saying " they know what they sign up for at least"

Queue times are longer for obvious reasons and these people who think flipping the script on survivor was a fix are delusional. Both system were broken at least before one queue time didn't take forever.

A true ranking system with incentives is the only real fix. There needs to be a casual mode because this is a casual game. People are delusional to think it has any sort of balance.

New players playing on their own ranks, however, could end up learning properly. That is the part you are not really addressing. If they cannot properly improve this way and would end up being not very good players, then it wouldn't matter too much what ranks they ended up facing with SWF, would it?

I do address it, but you can't pretend like there isn't a huge playerbase that only plays with friends. This is why the queue times are insane on both sides now.

I get your point, but you refuse to understand how much it hurts people who have friends and aren't sitting all day in killer Queue. Just look at the multiple people in this thread struggling to find matches now. It's w/e tho this is going nowhere and we are just spamming this thread at this point.

If they keep practicing and working their way up the ranks, they can eventually prepare themselves for the higher ranks. That's how ranking systems work.

I know how a ranking system works, lol. The roles just switched for people trying to play with friends. And no amount of time will help some people get better. This change won't help those killers struggling to get to red ranks, and those new players playing with red rank friends will learn very little.

I've been playing this game for less time than most and reached red ranks with no problem on both sides. As mean as it might sound, some people have their limits and no side should be forced to deal with it. This is why I keep mentioning a different ranking system, but w/e, I give up on this topic.

That was referring to low-rank Survivors playing against other low-rank Survivors as opposed to jumping all the way into the deep end by grouping up with a high-rank Survivor. They have the choice as to how they want to approach it. A Killer would not have that choice because they don't get to choose if they play against a SWF group with one or more high-rank Survivors. That decision is thrust upon them.

No level 10-20 gameplay will prepare them for the sweat Nurse, spirit at red ranks. They will just get instantly downed and be turned off by the game. The same way some killers were turned off by SWF, but killer queue times have always been long. Now both are long.

Like I said before some killers will never be good and some survivors will never be good. That's why there needs to be a casual mode to mess around in.

It takes one killer to launch a lobby and four survivors at the end of the day. People want to play with friends and this change is gonna hurt more than help as you can clearly see by some of the posts in here.

Or maybe it's just a way for the Rank 20 to improve so that they stand a better chance when they pair up with their rank 1 friends.

And yes, de-ranking is bad. I would report the de-ranker for deliberately de-ranking.

They are reviewing my post, but here we go again with the double standard.

Dude nobody knows when you are de-ranking to play with your friends or you are just de-ranking, and frankly nobody cares. If you DC at any point besides during endgame its annoying as you ruined my game to allow your friends to play with people their rank.

It sucks that you can't play with your friends, but you shouldn't be able to ruin the killer's game and think its okay because you just want to play with your friends. Even if you don't do that plenty of others do, which there can be nothing done that issue ( besides what they are currently doing ) because they just want to "play with their friends."

Clearly you care enough to comment, and people do care because they are in here saying they would report it.

I'm not in here justifying it, but I do understand why people will do it. That's all I'm saying.

    After getting what?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/713177#Comment_713177

"The killer could of used facing the higher rank to become better too for when he got to red ranks."

You don't see the double standard in saying that?

What don't you understand? I said that only because of your double standard. ROFL

This is why I said the only possible fix would be another ranking system with incentives.

I'm done talking to you dude, lol

You don't get it and you keep showing your bias which is fine. The killer could of used facing the higher rank to become better too for when he got to red ranks. I and plenty others had to deal with it, but you are just looking at one side which is understandable.

We can just agree to disagree at this point.

Look at this guy above me just wants to play with his friends Kartastisk.. Some of our friends will never be good at this game no matter how hard they try, lol.

The same way some killers will never be good at killer, even with these changes. Ya'll do you tho, report those de-rankers.

  • That's just giving the giant middle finger to anyone trying to play with friends? But, somehow de-ranking is bad because you want your friends to enjoy the game? you people would report the guy de-ranking for trying to give their friends a better experience when they log on.. ROFL

The only real fix would be to make two separate systems. One for ranking with incentives and another for casual BP grind. The current one is total ######### and just screws over one side to benefit the other. You guys can defend this all you want, but it's getting backlash for good reason.

No, god damnit, not again. We are not nerfing Freddy again because of a garbage nitpick to his kit. The snares, as Raccoon said, take time to arm and asleep survivors are well aware of where they are, they're not OP and you have to make sure you can place them properly on top of all this. And unlike Clown's slowdown, survivors can avoid snares the entire game no matter how hard Freddy tries to get them to run over them. A well-aimed bottle from the worst clown player imaginable can still lead to slowing survivors down, whereas a well-placed trap from the best Fredster alive is still up to the survivors to run over, making the snare useless if avoided. Plus his lunge? He's a short little goblin, his range just looks longer than normal because of his height.

ROFL, They do make a point tho. Your point is kinda not that great, as it's super spammy for bloodlust reliant gamers around loops. This is why freddy had become so popular even in red ranks because it's strong A tier at least.

  • @NoMitherPlayer said:

You all are wrong. Or almost. They didn't solve the problem. They inverted it. Survivors with Rank 1 were facing rank 20. That's bs. But now, rank 20 survivors are facing rank 1 killers. That's the same bs but inverted!!! If there is a rank 1 and 20 for example= Rank 10 killer. That's just logic am I wrong?! Come on dbd

Some people don't realize, or ignore it now because it benefits them. All these newer players will see now is spirit, huntress, nurse when they play with rank 1s-4 for the most part.

The sweat at red ranks is so hard that they will be turned off by the game. There was no shortage of killers in queue before, this change just flipped to the other side, now both have insane queue times.

  • I'm sick of playing nurse and Spirit every other game and dealing with crazy addons which really aren't that hard to get. Let's complain about everything together.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/87216/status-update-dedicated-servers

    Fall 2019.

DbD is a competitive game actually.

And yes it is better to hurt the 3. Those 3 could just not play with a rank 1 friend to get a killer at their rank.

With the old system the killers didn't have that choice.

DbD Switch has dedicated servers right now even.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/90514/f-a-q-nintendo-switch-release-known-issues/p1?new=1

That's a Nintendo switch link, lol.

The killer did have a choice, it's the same choice the survivor has now. Just don't play because the matchmaking is #########. The roles just switched is all, nothing was fixed.

It ain't the Killer who would be reporting someone for repeatedly first-hooking themselves. :P All it takes is a couple of Survivors reporting their "teammate" for unsportsmanlike conduct or griefing for the devs to take a look, and if they notice a sudden trend of the rank tanking in a short amount of time, they can probably put two and two together.

Lol, alright buddy I'll let you keep believing what you want. I ran into plenty of ######### red ranks before this recent patch that got one hooked. By your logic, I should report them because he might be a deranker, and not just bad at the game, or is having a bad game.

Let me consistently false report because that's healthy. Ya'll dreamers out here for real.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/712546#Comment_712546

They are, however, ruining the game for their teammates by consistently one-hooking themselves with the express intent of de-ranking, which can easily be a punishable offense.

But it's really not punishable unless you make it extremely obvious every-game. Not to mention they hardly ban people for DC right now, what makes you think they will ban people for one hooking or playing like crap?

On average how many killers do you think would care to write a report about a guy who made it easy to get caught? Like cmon, lets nod kid ourselves here.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/712485#Comment_712485

Let's punish people who deliberately one-hook repeatedly with the purpose of de-ranking. You think it will be hard for devs to tell who is consistently letting themselves be first-hooked on purpose?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/712523#Comment_712523

This doesn't need to be an e-sports game for this change to be good. :P

You do realize that they are not exploiting by one hooking themselves right? You can report them all you want, but it's not an exploit to play the game like your not good, or just want to mess around.

    They're coming before 2020.

I am aware dcing isn't the only way i even addressed that in my post. Deranking by throwing/playing bad will only annoy other survivors it won't hurt the killer at all.

It will change a lot but not immediately.

Servers need to release to handle dcing and the survivor community will slowly gather against people who derank intentionally by other means since no one will want to play with those people.

Where is this confirmation? Link us

Also, it's ok now because the DC and derankers will hurt survivor now by your logic. It's better to hurt three people than the one killer.

None of the implementations were good. This isn't an E-sport game, and people need to stop pretending it is. We all had to deal with SWF lobbies when we first started playing killer. It is painful to faced SWF, but when you do chase that rank 1 you could learn a lot about how to play killer more efficiently. You'll learn nothing by catching potatoes on your way to red rank.

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/712457#Comment_712457

DCing will go down when they implement the dc queue penalty after servers come.

If people want to throw a ton of games to derank i doubt killers will complain. Easy wins it just hurts the survivors you're with.

Eventually survivors will be in a corner where they can't dc because their timer gets too long and they hate eachother because they could throw to derank.

You do realize those servers ain't coming anytime soon and DC isn't the only way to derank. You can just ensure you get one hooked everygame and be just as efficient with no timer.

I personally don't mind the change but I'm not gonna pretend like it's gonna change much.
