The problem with SWF is that it completely invalidates some killer perks like Knockout; and it gives the survivors a few extra perks for free like a pseudo-Kindred.
Even the casual SWF groups tell each other where the killer is, what killer they are going against, whether or not the killer is camping, etc. That extra information drastically speeds up the survivor's game plan because they can now make decisions immediately without having to do the extra information gathering required by a team of solo survivors. Now do they always use that extra information to its greatest potential? No. No they often do not. But that doesn't mean that extra information isn't there or that it is a fair advantage over solo players.

I believe you get rituals for the side you play less more.
i play more killer and get mostly killer dailies.
i think the pool might have more killer dailies in it.

I’m just surprised they didn’t make a change like:
- GF’s power now applies the deep wounds effect rather than the exposed effect.
I know it’s a joke, but applying deep wounds instead of exposed would be a buff. I’m assuming you meant deep wounds when the marked survivor is hit.

increasing the width hit radius for killer since playing survivor it looks wide and playing killer it just looks like a small swing. Also why does everyone keep complaining about camping, tunneling, slugging. It's all part of a killers strategy to down and kill survivors.
People complain because it’s not fun to get camped, tunneled, or slugged.
Complaining is not a problem as long as you ask the devs to properly fix things. The main problem right now is some people want killer nerfs without equally large killer buffs. This would be very bad.

As a new mode no; but I would support a new setting in the options menu.

Female legions have male voice until first pallet stun.
-
Looping doesn’t need to go. It just needs to be unsafe. If every single pallet was an unsafe pallet except the shack pallet; then good killers would be able to get more hits and spend less time breaking pallets.
The problem with cow tree for example is that it can take 40+ seconds to make them drop the pallet and in all that time you will not be able to mind game a hit.
-
The virtual currency lets them get around listing each item as individual dlc. It also lets them hand it out.
-
I expect a freaking hotfix.

The cosmetics and the licensed characters are the only things people can't get via grinding. Without any discounts, the base game + licensed characters are $55 on steam only. For a game that is 3 years old and frequently DOES go on sale, usually at a heavy discount. Ongoing sales from the base game and older DLC are probably a small minority of the money they make off of the game now-a-days. Most of the money probably comes from newer dlcs and Auric Cells.
With that being stated, BHVR is not a charity. If you want them to keep supporting the game, they need to make a big enough profit for it to be worth it to them. Cosmetics are a relatively harmless way for them to continue to monetize a 3 year old game while continuing to offer every original DLC character for free. Because I guarantee you the cheaper people who have been playing for 3 years can easily just save up 9K or 18K blood shards for each quarterly release without breaking a sweat; so even the value of brand new dlc is mostly in the real money exclusive cosmetics.
At the end of the day, not being able to have every killer and survivor costume is not going to hurt you. And it keeps the game running. So them selling cosmetic DLC is fine.
As for the cosmetic dlc pricing, the other reality of the situation is that they need to also make a profit off of DLC; and some costumes like the Hallowed Blight ones probably cost a crap ton to make. The price tag is absolutely fair for some of the best costumes; but as stated I personally believe the pallet swaps should be considerably cheaper.
-
Shelter Woods is one of the maps with the fewest windows, and even with recent buffs to pallets there it still is below average on the number of pallets on the map. It's a very odd case where survivors basically have very few places to run to with large dead zones. Even then, it's still not that killer sided because of how freaking big it is and how many trees they've added recently.

The best survivor perks are...... I'm not gonna tell you our secrets, silly survivor you thought it was that easy?
I play both sides.
-
Just had a Doctor lobby with 3 Neas and a Dwight. Surprise Twist: The Dwight was the only good player on their team who could do gens through madness plus unnerving presence plus overcharge lol.
-
I do not believe Distressing is that good on any killer (even the Doctor) without more add-ons to back it up.
For the Doctor specifically, their madness build up goes down quite a bit the farther away from you they are, so the extra 8m does very very little once they are in Tier 1 Madness.
-
This is mostly just me spitballing instead of actual suggestions. I want to know whether people think these would be balanced.
-
Alternatively:
Survivors use We're Gonna Live Forever, No One Left Behind, Prove Thyself, and Deja Vu.
Killers use Beast of Prey, Distressing, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, and BBQ.
-------
There people get all the bps, and each side gets exactly 1 useful perk lol.
-
@Andreyu44 said:
No one would play it,tbh.
People would play it just because they'd be on an "even" playing field with everyone else. And you underestimate how salty people are about various perks on both sides. I could easily see at least an initial "Yay now I don't have to deal with X" wave of people trying it out. Not sure how long that would last though.
-
They are doing some sort of test like this soon I think?
It's going to be interesting whether survivors or killers not named Nurse will get more benefit out of the exchange.
Obviously Nurse benefits the most lol. But as Survivor I can get to rank 1 without perks or items; so it's more of a question of how much do killers lose in their 4 perks vs survivors lose in their combined 16 perks. Not sure tbh.

thats already happened ,been happening for years.everytime they f up a killer bam.
I more meant that at some point all those survivors temporarily playing killer won't be able to stand it anymore. There's a reason the killer population is usually lower than it is currently.
-
At some point people will stop playing killer lol

Any hope to extend the event and fix the cakes for survivors?
Plz god no don’t extend the event. Anything but that.
-
@Peanits said:
Unfortunately that's not really something we can "fix" outright. In this case, the reason why you're finding lobbies instantly as survivor but not as killer is because there are a lot of people trying to play killer right now- so many that there aren't enough survivors to fill all of their lobbies. Even if the matchmaking was 100% perfect, we can't fill lobbies if there's not enough people to fill them.
This is something we're going to try to keep in mind going forward, though. Certain things do tend to cause people to play one side over the other, so we could try to plan things in a way that balances that out a bit more.
Any plans to reduce the grind any time soon so people stop spamming killer so much during events? I would honestly take a flat out survivor bp buff at the current rate for queuing.
-
Make killers confident they’d can probably get another down even with the doors open and no NOED. Camping would drop off overnight.
-
Watch then introduce the cankers; but bp; as a second objective.

Was it ever about arguments?
I'm guessing you weren't here for the outrage when BHVR changed the emblems for killers to lose points for camping.
Why would killers be upset about this?
-
Killer pips should go back to the victory cube. Survivors should pip via a combination of chaser, unbroken, and number of gens done by the time you died. Basically current system with pseudo shared lightbringer and no benevolence

I can do the same argument to you.
I am Rank 2 on both sides,btw
Not rank 1 survivor?

They are not going to increase gen time or hook time.

@gantes said:
At least I think applying pressure and going after multiple people is more fun for everyone than just slugging and roflstomping a game. Just as going for saves and being chased is more fun than just holding M1 all game long for survivor.
The pipping system may be bad but at least it enforces gameplay more fun than strictly the win conditions of the game.
It doesn’t encourage anything other than apathy on the killer end of things.

I'll back up Grootdude on this. I've had an easier time pipping with legion than I do as survivor. Know the scoring events and play how it wants you too. Isn't hard with a game-stalling build and good pressure awareness.
That was a joke lol.
That being said I can easily get to rank 1 perkless as survivor. As killer, I would be impressed to hear a non nurse or spirit got to rank 1 without perks or add ons.

Ok, how about this. The devs want the game to be fun and a killer steamrolling to a 4k in 3 minutes with 5 gens up is not fun for any survivor, the largest portion of the playerbase.
So the solution is to continue letting everyone steamroll every single game because they’ll never rank up? Seems bad design
-
Spirit has better chases but Billy has better mobility. With best add ons Spirit is 2nd best no contest. Without add ons it kind of depends on the map.
-
Because survivor is easier.
-
Being blunt; it’s been a week. How long until the hotfix releases?
-
I play a lot of survivor and I don’t find the joke that funny. It would be really nice to have close games against more killers than Hillbilly, Nurse, and Spirit.
-
Blame the survivors gen rushing like mad. Also blame BHVR for releasing another bad killer.

Why are we in 2018/2019 just now complaining about generator speed when its been the same. Did this just go by unnoticed for however long? Or just finally decided to complain about it because we were lacking in things to complain about?
People have been complaining for three years. The answer always is they want to do something less boring than holding M1 longer.

I honestly thought it was common knowledge that just because you paid for something it can be changed if needed when it's a balance issue in a multiplayer game.
Just imagine if for some obscure reason it wasn't allowed, guess we'd still have DS 1.0 with everyone getting insta-DS obsession or not 😄
DS almost killed the game entirely. That’s how that ended up getting nerfed.
-
The most broken update ever had Michael Myers with Hillbilly’s Chainsaw.
-
I have a solution: git gud and don’t get caught.
-
The things they’ve touched have been for balance changes or due to engine updates. I see no problem with it.
-
She would be able to use her power every 30 seconds, but it affects all survivors on the map for 60 seconds. Seems odd.
