Yes it can happen here's my example.
Guess my body was server side body was left in front of the killer lmao.
Wowww. I'd be pissed tbh
Here's hoping they fix it fast and that you both have better luck, I haven't seen anything like that yet but when I do I'll be done for the night for sure lol
-
Open Handed, Plunderers, Up The Ante, Kindred (Helps the team and open Handed makes it OP on certain maps)
This is my loot build. I think the perks are fine, I get a key every other game.

My guess is the killer is lagging like mad since seems like it is in the video. Probably already registered two hits on you but visually it doesn't look like it.
Either that or hacks.
If it's possible to register two hits without looking like it on the survivor side something needs to be fixed ASAP

I dunno how the fight goes but I'll tell you they all end up doing generators for eternity like the rest of us

Alright, so now that I know that you're not discussing in good faith, I am finished discussing it with you.
I'm about 7 comments ahead of you bud lol

Are you going to continue the discussion by responding to the question I posed, or are we done here? To me, it seems like you have long since stopped discussing in good faith, so it makes little difference to me.
Hey ditto! That we can agree on. Also that it's normal gameplay (;

so you dont have any reasoning and you want continue trolling? ok
let me just go record "going against my ethics and suiciding" to prove an internet troll wrong by timing it out suuuuuuper specifically despite the fact that the amount of time is negligible and is not the point of the thread
I will bet all the money your parents have saved for your college fund that I can DC faster than you can suicide on hook, even with an extra 8 seconds

My sentence is grammatically correct. If you want me to rephrase it:
"Why does the fact that you believe that it is normal gameplay mean that I agree with you?"
Oh I see now, you were leading off of my previous comment.
You ask a lot of questions you know?
-
Don't mind me. I just like bothering TAG ;)

I asked you where you got the idea that I agreed that it was normal gameplay from, and you responded with "From the fact that it's normal gameplay?" I think you are the one who misinterpreted what I said, not the other way around.
No I mean actually reread that. I dunno if you had a stroke or what
Why does my belief?

suicide is not normal gameplay
I want you to explain in what way it IS normal gameplay since youre so adamant about it
I'm still waiting on your statistical data for the average time difference between hooking and pressing a button
Was it 8 seconds you said?
-
@TAG said:

Why does your belief that it is suddenly mean that I agree with you?
What? Reread that

@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818342#Comment_1818342
I never said I agreed that it was normal gameplay. Where are you getting that from?
From the fact that it's normal gameplay?
-
@TAG said:

I did say it's not normal gameplay. Right here:
However, I would still not call it normal gameplay.
Ahh see a simple mistake, don't beat yourself up. It's normal gameplay, I'm glad we could come to an agreeable conclusion.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818329#Comment_1818329
I didn't say that it's not normal gameplay when compared to hitting the leave button. I said it's not normal gameplay. Please refrain from refuting something I did not say.
So you did say it's not normal gameplay? Cause it is
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818322#Comment_1818322
Okay, so we agree that it is not normal gameplay and therefore is not okay.
No it's definitely normal gameplay when compared to hitting the leave button. We can agree to disagree?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818319#Comment_1818319
Yes, it is more normal gameplay than pressing a button. However, I would still not call it normal gameplay.
Well that's that.
How's the weather where you are? We got snowed in here
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818310#Comment_1818310
I would not call intentionally killing yourself on the hook early in the game "normal gameplay" much like how I would not call intentionally dropping all the pallets ASAP "normal gameplay."
I would call it more normal gameplay than pressing a button, eh?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818295#Comment_1818295
Oh, I absolutely acknowledge that. I just don't think that the fact that it happens through gameplay means that it is okay. For example, throwing down pallets is a natural thing that can happen through gameplay, but you can still get in trouble for griefing if you intentionally deplete your team's entire supply of pallets just to screw your team over.
Well in my opinion, if it happens through normal gameplay then it is okay.

your argument is the statistical equivalent of a 4th grader saying "no Im righterer!"
its the same thing and the difference in time is on average about 8 seconds
Wow lmao hey lil buddy since you brought up statistics, can I see the data you're using to figure out the average time difference is 8 seconds?
Shame
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818283#Comment_1818283
So the differences are negligible, then? Because both scenarios result in a player ejecting themself from the game early and completely screwing over their teammates?
Sure. But one is through gameplay and one is a button, can you not acknowledge that?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818274#Comment_1818274
What makes them different in terms of consequences?
The time it takes to press a button and the time it takes to get on a hook and die?

You just said it, the menu and the hook.

Did not answer my question.
The other person said that you can't force someone to stay in the match if they don't want to. So I ask: Then why enforce DC penalties?
Because leaving by pressing a button isn't okay, but dying through gameplay is. I shouldn't have to simplify things for the sake of your question
-
@EuphoricBliss35 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818255#Comment_1818255
Essentially, they are. Killer gets a survivor removed with little to no effort.
They're not. One is a button, one requires gameplay. The game can't look at every hook and be like "Ehhh he meant to do that" but pressing a button is pressing a button
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1818233#Comment_1818233
Then why enforce DC penalties?
Hitting the leave button and playing your way to death are NOT the same thing

A hook is gone if someone suicides, so there's that

I guess its redundant but I could care less what you think I am, I main killer nor do I need your validation.
All I said was that I was taking a break from the FORUMS. Mostly because I don't feel the need to be here currently. I only came back one more time before my break because I was frustrated.
I think killer mains complain more than survivors (despite 4 years of constant nerfs lol).
I think I am Azame. You can comment sure but I can also ignore your comment and never reply. Same as anyone else and vice versa.
"I can also ignore your comment and never reply"
NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

Yes I do definitely believe the killer side is easy in pubs. Outside of that (tournaments) its genuinely hard I should know. Also read the whole thing since I can tell you seem to have a slight killer bias and don't understand my frustrations.
I was referring to leaving the forums, not the game itself. I am a killer main after all and enjoy that side more than survivor. I don't care about killers killing me once again read the post or don't comment.
Yeah I'm not sticking around for all the killer mains who really think killer is hard outside of tournaments. You guys complain way too much for my liking.
"All these terrible killers who think they are good because of these unfair hits really makes me angry." You are a survivor main, there is no changing my mind. (See how that works? How redundant)
It doesn't matter whether you were talking about the game, forums, or your local Walmart. If you say you're leaving and then come back, you took it personally somewhere.
Yes, killer mains definitely complain too much. I'm glad we could discuss this on a thread with survivor complaints
Also, who do you think you are? I could comment the weather and you couldn't stop me. Don't post if you don't want comments like mine.

Hit validation I made a mistake. I never said killers weren't fine. I'm also not taking it personally. Did you read like my first two paragraphs and comment?
Yes I did and it reads as you being a salty survivor, calling being the killer (The 1 in a 4v1) easy.
If saying you're going to leave and then saying "I'm back because I'm frustrated, here is why I hate everything" isn't taking it personally then I don't know what is
You know what, you said you would switch to killer and we need more killers so I take it back, stick around! (:
-
Hot validation.. Is that like Twitter verified?
Killers are fine, take a break and when you return quit taking it personally when the KILLER KILLS YOU
-
After a couple months go by and there's some real gameplay to watch

Ching Chong.
Your opinion is wrong.

You know something? When playing as a killer, in real life I barely make any noise with my headphones on, I'm listening for footsteps etc.
But it NEVER fails to get a smug chuckle out of me when a survivor DCs, that's when I do a little laugh. Is it toxic? I dunno, or care.
What I'm saying is, killers love DCs, and you're only hurting your team when you do it. So if that's the goal (Hurting your team) then by all means. I've done it and it's okay. Everyone play how they want.

I have been slowly losing my sanity to dead by daylight recently. We have had bugs that make the game irritating but truthfully nothing has been more frustrating than just general things already meant to be in the game. I have for hours been trying to get the 8 gens with pop goes the weasel challenge done but I have been gen rushed to holy hell every time I try. There are some single trials every tome that are frustrating beyond belief to unlock and they truthfully need to stop. The grind is enough already and it's just life consuming and mentally draining to have to imagine trying to beat people to gens for great skill checks in a single trial or get multiple specific hooks in a single trial or this and that in a single trial. Key words "in a single trial". We should just be able to play the ######### game and try to enjoy it while getting stuff unlocked without the added chaos of having to need it done right there in that trial. Some are easy and others are just a rage inducers regardless the side you play. Aside from this I have had to as I'm sure many have out there endure the horrific double window vault locations specifically the terrible 4 window vault area in a Macmillan map where two sets of double vault windows spawn and in between them is a small rock pallet loop. I got ran an entire game to 1 gen trying to get someone down. I get bamboozle is a perk but I shouldn't have to run it just to defend against something like that as a killer. I mean damn you're one person against 4 and almost every damn time it's a survive with friends and you're just screwed because they will always have your location, where you're going and what you're deciding to do. Another bad match tonight was a tremendously awful scream match at the backwater swamp where I was run by a zarina at the long log in front of the boat. I got ran endlessly by that area and what was worse was I couldn't see scratch marks half the time or they looked like they disappeared because the grass in that map is so dark and hard to navigate it's easy to go blind. I never screamed so much profanity more than I have today especially with after every time I got ran trying to do a challenge mind you I have to constantly read gg ez or something that's toxic towards me basically being bad at the game. I have had amazing matches and played greatly before but these challenges we get and the loops in the maps right now are just too much to bear at times. I have disconnected multiple times today and the other thing I can say needs to go is the penalty for leaving. I have broken down so many times just because I didn't wanna have a timer say no you can't play for this amount of time that gets bigger the more you do it. I have watched many streams to say I can't believe there isn't a better system for us to get what we need said to the devs than a stupid q&a that barely gets real good questions. I'm tired of seeing what are you doing for this killer and this survivor and is there a rework of this perk or that perk. I just want some one from behaviour to read this and answer this question. Will you just stop doing nerfs and buffs for awhile and really look at the issues the game has. The unfair advantages that each side has, and more so the unfairness to killers that has been shown. If you guys wanted to change up moris you could've made it to where all survivors need to all be 1st hooked before every survivor can be moried and kept the ivory the same. That way killers would have to leave tunneling behind and pressure the other survivors in game if they want to be able to get the mori on everyone activated. Theres so many things i can spout out that should be changed because the game is toxic to itself and thus toxic to me the player and im increasingly starting to be unable to handle it after supporting the game for so long. I know this has crap comments written all over it but I have no regret venting this and will be working on a list of things that actually will fix the game we are all playing not just a list of this and that for people to complain about but something that gets read and possibly gets a conversation going about making the game that's loveable and incredibly hateable just simply good and fair to a point where it's just great and there's fairness finally with balance. If anything I at least want to see the devs put an end to single trial challenges and I hope many do too.
Hey man, you don't have to prove anything to anyone. I bet you have had a ton of good games, we all have, same with bad ones.
I completely agree they should make challenges continuous instead of per trial. Forget the wall of text and the rant, you make a good point.

I've only tried it a few times as well

Have you seen the forums? Lmao

You know what, same.
I don't even do flashlight saves often so I just shrugged it off earlier but I tried, got the "Killer blind" and nothing happened. Just walked off and hooked my buddy

Dead by Daylight has been around for a few years now, everyone is a pro or they watch a YouTube video and know how to act like pros
It is hard being a new anything in a game with years on it
