Yep, do you have any idea what should I use instead of Tinkerer? I tried Thana and it was okay I guess, now I'm testing Brutal Strength.
Any perks that lowers your TR is not a good perk (unless it's the addon that increases TR when Static Blast is ready but lowers it when Static Blast is on cooldown)

They Said the stats we saw on kill rates included dc but the ones they use themselves are far from useless as they can see them without that.
I am not separating the platforms I am saying we do not know how many play on others so to get a metric is not possible. Its like asking 300 peolple in the street how many prefer burgers over hot dogs and stating it as fact for a country from the results of one city.
As I said they did show stats but then people do not believe them. Again take this post as an example of what happens when they release a stat and state lithe is used more than DS which is an easy one to get. They are basically damned if they do and damned if they dont as it does not fit into what some want to believe.
Fair enough
-
The dev's themselves called their own stats useless
This thread only seeks to improve and show what we want to see
Why does it matter the platform... to split the players into their platform for what? To say that PC players do this and PS players do this etc...?
Since the dev's have all the stats then show us every so often... like R6 Siege does every season
If they do show stats then dont also say that those stats are not good and dont read into them
-
Getting a gen grap as doc and seeing their teammates trying to run away is soooooo satisfying
Also sneaking on survivors as Wraith and ring his bell once then seeing the survivor Srint Burst away only to crouch walk back is hilarious
-
Yea... I am usually the survivor who dies on first hook...
Also I am a survivor whom tries to get the save (without bringing the killer with me)
But I won't save if: the killer pitched a tent and has a campfire going, there's another survivor nearby, or if I have a gen almost done
-
Still though... 8m more of repair sounds isn't to be slept on
Play it right and you'll hear a gen being worked on and be able to interrupt the progress sooner
-
And in my 700 hours of experience I would say to kindly keep those comments to yourself
Why does it matter at (Bad Word) all
-
1) it's MM that's nonexistent
2) ranks dont really matter as they only show how much players have played in a month
3) it's been happening for years now

Players who play killer, how do you feel about people giving advice at the end game chat?
Lets for a moment pretend that you and I played a match together and regardless to how it ended I gave you tips on how I felt you could play better, would you be upset with that?
I only ask because I had a match with a nurse that ended pretty badly because she decided to focus on me only and that ended up costing her the match. When I brought this up to them, I was told that they "didn't ask for my opinion" and that it's "rude to give advice to those who aren't asking for it."
It wasn't like "Get gud scrub stop chasing me loser" but more "I think you would do better with nurse if you didn't chase someone for too long and instead switch targets when you know you aren't able to down a survivor." It wasn't said out of malice or hatred but simply because I enjoy helping good killers improve.
From my point of view, when I play as killer, I love being given tips and advice because it lets me know what I'm doing wrong and what I could be doing in order to improve.
What do you guys think? Do you find it toxic or rude?
I'd be all for it
I can only see what's in front of me and how I played but having another players perspective on how the match went would be great

See that's the thing I like about Surge. The less I have to keep track of and do so that I can focus on the survivors, the better. But pop gives you more regression obviously.
Yea... Regression rates need to be adjusted to match the current game
-

I really like surge or pop; I don't like relying on ruin and with surge I don't have to walk up to the generator and do the thing.
EDIT: Describe 'a plan'?
If you don't want to use Ruin then a plan is not relying on kicking gens for the aura but to use the extra 8m of repair sounds
Honestly the same can be said for pop and overcharge...
Also Surge breaks gens within 32m of you downing a survivor with a basic attack
-
Depends on what you're running with it
Surge, Ruin, Pop
Also the extra 8m of repair sounds are good and all but to get full advantage of it is to have a plan
If the devs increased base regression, Surveillance would be better
-
Pig:
MYC, Surveillance are good to have
Hangman's Trick isn't worth much
She has stealth, Power to stall out matches (if used right)
I'd say she's strong in the right hands and a good killer to learn
-
Taking notes on one match was hard... 99 more to do
Player stats would be good
But take it with a gain (or two) of salt when the stats aren't what you wanted
-
Expand the ranks
10-1 for each color
Limit MM to colors (including SWF's)
-
There's the general stats: Perks, killers, maps, kills, gens completed
Then there's specific ones like: the times of the first chase, first hit/down/hook, first gen completed, heals, unhooks
(trying to get all players involved so some stats can be done by survivor players)
With cross play enabled platform shouldn't matter (only to the player on the platform) we are all players of this game
The more players get their own stats the devs (might) make adjustments to their stat tracking or release more (like R6 Siege)
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Stats are generally taking over all ranks and all regions and platforms.
They do however also take rank into account at times for say rank 20-15 and ranks 5-1 to see if there is any difference.
Regions and platforms well you're one may see higher usage of some perks than others. This is why personal stats don't really show anything.
Say in one day over 100 matches you play in that time 1 million different players joined the game. Now only 30k are on your platform and region. Play 100 games you see as killer only 400 survivors out of those numbers. This means you will not see the other 999,599 players or only see 0.04%. Its a minute figure to go by.
But if multiple players did get their own stats then the numbers would be a hell of a lot bigger and cover more of the playerbase
With the way the game is now the stats I want to see are relevant enough to be gathered and shown
-
@EvilJoshy said:
However the devs get their information I would like to see a filter option. If you screened this data by red ranks only, I will guarantee DS is used more than lithe.
Then do it yourself.... No one says you can't get your own stats
Plus I use lithe over DS in the lower ranks cause I do have DS teachable yet (don't play that much survivor to begin with)

If they want, they can give it all to me and my habit of over-analysis. I'll take it as a challenge while I paint more of my way-too-many 40k miniatures!
lol.... I have been wanting to gather my own stats in the game for awhile
But then apathy takes over
Also if some of us do get our own stats we then can compare and contrast them and come up with new ideas (maybe)
-
Times that (doesn't need to be accurate... recording then watching would be best though)
First chase started (if you are not the first survivor to start a chase then say when your first chase was)
First hit
First down
First hook
First gen completion
Then total numbers for
Hooks
Hits/downs
Unhooks
Heals (pickups are included)
I will do one of mine for an example soon and post it somewhere here

I'm at a loss for words. She's considered one of the weakest killers in the game, and people find her toxic? I know that trap tunnellers are an issue, but still.
That's.....
Wow.
Yea... I had a chuckle with them
Oh had DC's when trap was about to kill

100 each still isn't anything to write home about.
You can record every single game you ever played in the last 4 years and it will still pale in comparison to the whole thing
Fair enough
But it would be better then saying what the dev's did
"Heres some stats... but dont read into them... they suck"

I have been told to "get COVID-19" twice playing my pig

Oh lol I thought you were dead serious, I'm not young and can't tell if being serious or not.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674580#Comment_1674580
That actually makes sense, in my region I usually see DS/unbreakable at least twice or thrice per match, I might start doing an experiment.
50 matches as the killer and 50 as survivor to see the most used perks on both sides.
You'd have to do 100 each... to be fair
I'm also thinking of doing something to this effect but with specific stats to record... and I'm starting with games that I put on YouTube (get the easy ones done first)
-
I didn't watch the video but I can guess the match went like...
All four survivors spawned near a gen used BNP to get the first gen done then made mistakes to allow the killer to get them relying on their perks to bail them out
Right or wrong?
-
Good for you to adapting to the game
May you find good luck

As soon as possible. It's being worked on, and it's a priority.
Boop
Also can I suggest expanding ranks and separating them from the color
10-1 in each color
and Black pips at 6 at all colors, one pip at 10 and 2 at 15
put limits on the color for MM and SWF
-
Playing a survivor match
I don't remember how the match ended but grouped up with the survivors and chatted about the game and other things
Eventually they asked about Whispers... So we went to a custom match and had one of them use Whispers to show them how it works
At the end one of them asked if I had GF... To which I said no and they gifted him to me
P.S.
I got a 4k first match playing as him
-
Playing the same game for 4 years will do that to any game
Even if the game has changed it's still the same at it's core

Anyone else have this problem? You go against a really good survivor team and they do gens quickly and efficiently. They finish all the gens and you know your not gonna win the game at all so you head straight to gates and open so the survivors can leave and you can finish the match quickly. But instead they sit their and t-bag until you get close to them or the EGC timer starts to run out.
Why do they do that I've completely given up but you still want to waste my time by t-baging I don't get it. (I didn't even tunnel, camp, or slug all game.)
I go against survivor who try to blind me has they leave.... like no you had your chance for that and failed
When I play survivor I do it once (not any more then once)... like to show (and probably not taken this way) respect to a killer who tried... or I let the entity get me
-
But that's an easy problem to solve... Maybe hard to implement
Expand the ranks and separate them... 10-1 in each color
Limit MM to the colors (brown with brown to red with red)
Also adjustments will have to be made to pips and emblems (I have a few ideas for that if necessary)
-
It's usually not, but there're outliers...
Being camped/ tunneled... Dying on first hook... First hook Mori
All gens done but seeing no survivors... being looped till it's too late (I have this happen to me when I try something different)
I personally think that if I have to camp/tunnel it wasn't a good game for anyone (so hopefully I don't get hate for it)
-
Sure why not
-
I think you could've handled it better...
I have had a similar experience but I was the killer
The conversation started the same as yours... but I explained what the match was from my POV and we can to understand each other
-
Not as well as you might think
-
Relying on obvious visual cues rather then the not so obvious ones
Like Scream Bubbles, Missed skillchecks
Other then Blood trails, fading scratch marks, Crows flying away in the distance, dark clothes, Moving grass and corn stalks
My comment is more nitpicky so you can chose to ignore it... hahaha
-
You're welcome
-
I tend to think it's fair...
1) To use it the survivor has to be injured... either staying injured or using DH as a back up
2) The distance gained is minimal compared to the other Exhaustion perks (except for Head-On)
3) Gives the survivor/killer interaction more skill rather then loop 3x drop pallet move on (or window)
4) Allows pathing to be unique rather then doing the same things at every loop
-
Honestly..... like 1-5 matches are either camped or tunneled... hardcore like
Other matches are either my own mistakes or teammates leaving me to be bled dry
The rest are not as bad in the camping/tunneling way for me but my teammates getting that
-
Funny... I had a thread just like this
-
Good job
Did you burn a luck offering IRL for that match?
-
I have a few killers I play to "not try" with
Do Invis Wraith:
Stay cloaked but fake coming out
Hit survivors whom miss skillchecks and whom hide
TOTH/Discordance/Whispers/ Nurse's Calling... I think that's what I came up with
And speed or uncloaking/ Bone Clapper... for addons
-
I always assumed it only worked on repair skillchecks...
I used to use it with old ruin on Pig
I might find a way to use it again
-
Fair enough

Yeah. I mean it's good and all us trying to think of solutions or whatever being a salty survivor or an annoyed killer but at the end of the day match making is bad for everyone. It's more then bad it's appalling. So first things first let's keep telling the devs we deserve a better system. I agree with your ideas swf should only be allowed between the same rank colour.
Thanks
-
I play on console so telling whom ever "GG" is hard to do... but I think most games I have are Good Games in one way, shape, or form
-
Cool... so far so good...
hahahaha
-
So it's been 6 months...
Has anyone thoughts changes or is it the same?
-
I like this idea
Rather then wait for a level up it would feel more fluid and give all players Shards to use how they see fit
-
Dwight is apart of the archives
And survivors want gens done asap
I do see it used but not every match (maybe 1 in 5)
