  • Why chase another Survivor when healing is the way it is (med kits, Botany Knowledge... etc)

Why kick Gens given that doing so doesn't get a lot value

Why hook other Survivors when Gens can be done within 56 seconds with 2 Survivors on a Gen

  • OK... so let's say they do nerf the Nurse

What's next... Spirit, Blight, Perks, basekit

  • Then have players complain that the game is boring... cool

  • It would be better if base Gen regression was increased but that's just me...

  • I agree... I've said this many times before

.25 charges per second of regression is laughable at this time in game

Increasing it to .50 charges per second and making changes to regression perks would help

Taking away the instant regression (cause it's to small)

  • There are Killer Powers that make those Killers faster so knowing is half the battle

yea Survivors have the ability to be faster then 115% but that's only for so long and if the Survivor is using the perk

Also it matters what's around within those 8 seconds

I'm agreeing. I think the perk is in a much better state now. It's still very strong as adding 30 seconds is not an insignificant amount and it's a perk a hook. As long as you keep rescuing people from hooks you can buy the team a lot of time even just by yourself. It's just you have to actually make trades instead of just keeping the teammate on the hook which as somehow who plays solo survivor I was not looking forward to the situation where I'm stuck on hook because my teammates just keep reassurance while never doing anything.

Ok... cool cause I wasn't sure LOL

  • If toxicity stopped things from being in the game.... We wouldn't have the game we do now (cause it would've died a long time ago)

It's a good idea so yes let it be in the game

Yes I know that this game has toxicity issues but we need to solve some of that ourselves... by either not becoming toxic or avoiding toxic players (I would say ignoring it but sometimes that doesn't work)

  • "Honestly that's why I found the ptb variant to be unhealthy. A perk that rewarded survivors for keeping a survivor on the hook isn't a good design. Now it buys survivors time to make a save or at the very least trade and they get more value out of the perk if they prevent survivors from going into their next state on the same hook.

At the end of the day if 1-3 minutes of extra time in total per a survivor isn't enough to finish gens and get saves, then the survivors should be dying."

    @Crowman

So do agree with what I said or am I missing something???

Cause I had the same thought process... but then again I didn't play it only read the change

  • They didn't have to... what other Killer could use LP, AA and Starstruck to that effect

  • They just made it work once per hook... to stop one Survivor being on hook all match

"scare Facecampers".... lol I would've been terrified as a Solo Survivor not as the facecamper

  • They should've already done that since they were going to decrease the time for blade wiping

    🤷‍♂️

  • I just didn't want to pay 50,000 BP to be able to continue getting things... I don't like that feature

But yes the nodes being cheaper is good

  • I've only DC'd once

And that was due to frustration

    But since then I haven't DC'd

  • I would like to see that

  • Just to see how I do playing the harder Killers

  • There's no need to take such measures

They need to increase base regression from .25 to .50 and fixing the regression perks around that

To give more value to kicking gens rather then changing everything else

  • Or you could Gen tap... to stop the regression then just wait till someone goes down

You know paying attention to how the Killer plays... That's not a Solo nor SWF favored... it's gamesense favored

  • Well I run Iron Maiden to reload faster

I can't remember what other perks I have on him

  • Well... here goes nothing

Coding isn't BHVR's strong point so a lot of this can't happen until they recode the game

He said grim embrace actives again so when you hook 4 different survivor gens get blocked for 60s and if you do it again gens get blocked another 60s.

Oh ok... Thanks for telling me

The buffs here also counts what the perks are, for example Grim Embrace has both effects, the actual in-game and my buff. This is the case for all the other perks here, including Solidarity. I guess I should have explained it better

Well That kinda changes some things...

Hangman's Trick... can have both the aura reading and have Sabotage take longer (The revert I was talking about)

All of the others do indeed sound better then I first thought

  • Or... you could just increase the base Gen regression to allow more Killers to actually get value out of kicking gens (even without regression perks)

    and fixing Maps

Why do people think the solution to Camping and Tunneling has to do with the act itself

  • Territorial Imperative: I do like this

Hangman's Trick: Just revert it to what it was before

    Overwhelming Presence: Fair enough

Gearhead: Revert it back to what it was before

Hex: Crowd Control: The Hex is gone... that's the end of the perk (though it would be nice to see residual effects applied to Hexes)

    Hoarder: Makes sense

Grim Embraced: That looks like a nerf (by the time you get 8 Hooks game's already over)

Beast Of Pray: Leave it where it is (no sense in adding more to it (especially regression)

Bloodhound: Is good where it is (simple and effective)

Zanshin Tactics: Maybe... I'm not sure about that

  • Why is STBFL so high but Brutal Strength is so low

And why is Pig so low... her Kill rate is high

  • On the other hand

Players have complained about: Time it takes to get a match, The Skill of the other players, and lag

So It'll be hard to change all of that

  • If they reverted the 10 extra charges on Gens

And they could just buff Dying Light... so doing that could work

Nurse can also just M1, she doesn't just have her Blinks :/ There have been many times where a Nurse was able to just walk to a survivor and M1 them, sure it's rarer, but doesn't mean she can't do it. She even has an addon for it!

And Nemesis can M1 as well... so

You brought up two vary different Killers for what reason now....

Nurse only has her Blinks and M1....

Nemesis has his M1, Tentacle and Zombies

Do I need to go into other Killers... Cause I will

  • Damn... I haven't played in like 6-7 months so all of that just scares me

On top of the perk changes... now the bloodweb and prestige have all changed... oh boy

i think that simplicity is better, just 3% per hook, with no obsession shenanigans, no buffs to survivors, just a simple, easy to use and easy to understand perk

I mean yes it is better... but giving the state of the game having really specialized perks are going to be coming in soon

  • I think Dying Light should work like this

The Obsession starts out with 0% heal but get 11% per Hook on other people and remove 11% if the Obsession is Hooked (the lowest is 0% and the highest is 33%)

The slowdown could be 6% per hook with a maximum of 6 stacks (36% slower Gen speeds) could be less seems that Gens now take longer to complete... and maybe remove 2-3 Stacks for Hooking the Obsession

  • Well for me it would've been easier to increase the base Gen regression then change all of the regression perks around that then to add 10 charges onto Gen completion

Why do Killers run 2 or more Gen regression perks... cause the base is so low

it takes a minute and a half (without Gen repair boosts and only one Survivor on the Gen) and 5-6 minutes to completely regress the Gen (with Perks)

Why do Killer Camp and Tunnel:

Cause the progression is 1 charge per second and regression is .25 charges per second

And Map spawns are what they are... they aren't balanced for both sides (maybe a few are but that's the point)

  • They have a bit of both going on right now and people don't like it

Prestige icons for Unranked (Quick Play)... And Grades (or Ranks) for Ranked -Cause that makes more sense-

Also It'll make the stat collection a bit better to make balancing a bit easier (IMO)

The sweat lords will do what they do... but if they go into Unranked then they won't get much rewards for playing... but we do need them so it's not all bad

Plus if they did make the split then MMR will play a bigger role in the game and that's kinda bad right now... but can be adjusted based on what they see... For Unranked you won't see it as obviously as Ranked

Also if they did do it then they can tighten up all of the MMR stuff

Yes it may split the playerbase but it'll recoverin the long run cause of the split... plus players can try out certain builds in Unranked gather information then take that into Ranked

  • I'm a Generalist... but I haven't played in like 6-7 months

    Solo Queue as Survivor

Stakeout, BT, Kindred, (and I think Botany Knowledge)

And on Killer (M1 Killers per say)

STBFL, Sloppy, Corrupt, (and either Discordance, BBQ or Call Of Brine)

Huntress: Iron Maiden, Discordance, Corrupt, (I can't remember the last perk)

  • It's funny that Survivor players were saying the same thing about: the Healing, Permanently broken Hooks and Looping

But it's more likely that is due to the low base Gen regression... and 4-5 (6) minute complete regression (minus Pop and PR... but I will assume that it'll be the same)

Right now it's better to remove a Survivor as quickly as possible (just like Survivors want to finish the first Gen as soon as possible)

There is no one way (or right way) to get rid of Tunneling... sorry to say

But maybe if the devs try out increasing base Gen regression (while reverting the other base kit changes and changing the regression perks) we might see a small change to how the game is played

I just wanna talk about point 7. If Iron Will is gonna be an exhaustion perk, it should at least be 100% at that point. I think that is a fair trade-off.

It's not an Exhaustion perk though

but running it while Exhausted should be what it is... it shouldn't be 100%

But you won t have instant downs on allready strong anty loop powers. Imagine that nemesis tentacle can instant down with starstruck.

Those two are vary different Killers... to say the least

Nurse only has her Blinks... so try another Killer

Imagine that using the Tentacle caused the Nemesis to go into fatigue every time you use it... and you have to press a button to retract the Tentacle after the fatigue

  • It is one thing to say (in general) that Survivors are frustrated when it's Killers as well... so players are frustrated would've been a better title (then explain what you mean)

MM is screwy to say the least, Maps are just as bad (for both sides), Perks are what they are, playstyles are what they are

  • 1) Camping is caused by either quick saves... and not much to do: Braking Pallets won't be that useful (IMO), Kicking Gens won't get much value, Trying to find a Survivor may just lead to a Save by a Survivor whom was close to the Hook

    2) Legion was nerfed due to Thana being nerfed... players need to realize that every Killer has different ways to play against them

    3) New gamemodes may be a good idea but the Devs are afraid of "splitting the playerbase"

    4) Why this perk out of all of the other ones?

    5) Honestly I read another idea for tunneling that I like better... I can't remember what it was though

    6) Read 5... and find another way

    7) No leave Iron Will where it is... either play get used to it or don't use an Exhaustion Perk with Iron Will

  • A lot of us are aware of the available Killers

    But:

Predator has their own game... if I remember right

Xenomorphs... would be hard to code in game

Candyman may be on the way... But I don't know when

I don't know about the rest so I can not say

I gotcha, I just thought it'd be a good discussion to get ideas flowing.

Oh (bad word) I didn't get the notification that you had answered me

Well let me further explain what I mean

Say you are playing the Killer you like well.... by all means get them at least to P3 (if not more) so you have addons and offerings to use while you work on other Killers

    1) Find what perks you would want (which at this point is all of them... LOL) and get the Killer to P3 as well... I would start with the perks you want first then go from there

    2) If you like more then one Killer then again get them up to P3 (no more then that... unless you want to get more addons and offerings)... but as you get more prestige you do kinds need to think of how you are spending your BP

    3) Save at least 250,000 to 500,000 BP as an emergency... cause you never know what might happen (also save all of your Survivor Puddings until you figure out how to play the Killer and what perks you want)

ALL OF THIS IS BASED ON THE BP CAP THAT I REMEMBER (1,000,000)... I don't know if that has changed

    TL;DR

    1) Find a Killer to play... get them to P3 while saving all of your Survivor Puddings (and Bloody Party Streamers)

    2) Figure out what perks you want... then get those Killers up to P3 (without worrying about addons and offerings) and of course if you like more then one Killer then repeat the process on the ones you like first

    3) Save at least 250,000 to 500,000 BP

  • When they have time to do it

New Licensed chapter... which includes a Map (and an updated Map)

    The Perk changes

Not saying that they are lazy... just pointing out all they have done recently

  • I'd say getting more basekit changes would help... but it's Killer basekit that I am talking about

    1) Revert the 10 extra charges per Gen... makes it better for new(er) players

    2) Increase the base Gen regression to .50... that should (theoretically) lower Camping enough -cause giving Killer players more use out of base regression means less regression perks are being used and gives more reward to spending time to kick Gens

Then perks can be next... cause why not

    1) Change all of the regression perks to fit the new base regression... also it'll allow more to be done to regression perks

    2) Revert the stun time on DS... cause that was necessary

    Then Maps...

Change how: Pallets, Long walls, LT walls and Deadzones are figured in the algorithm

I would say Killer Powers but that may be to much at this point... but yes those as well

  • I wouldn't mind that to be honest

But then people will say "add another Gen to do"

  • I can see that having Blink attacks count as special attacks

but with the way the game is changing special attacks will activate perks as well

  • Depends on how you play... your strengths and weaknesses

  • I would love that... especially for Solo Queue

I know that certain players will dodge but it's their decision

  • It's funny that the game has so many similar perks and yet they don't do anything to older perks but make new ones

  • I haven't prestiged any Survivor so am I that bad...

I've prestiged 5 Killers once so am I that bad

Prestige doesn't matter... all it shows is how much BP you spent on a specific Survivor/Killer

1 … 41 42 43 44 45 … 108
