I'm sorry, but I don't think mentally pressuring people to act "well" by our moral code is a very healthy thing to do, specially in a game like dbd
-
run off the record and made for this bro, almost you´ll never have any problems with tunneling anymore! trust me, i also combine it with lithe and bloodrush (ik it´s overkill)

No, they're supposed to be strong. That's why killers have been getting robbed on all these iri reworks. They've all been made terrible and gimmicky.
yeah yeah
-
iridescent addons in general are supposed to be more gimmicks considering like, 80% of them, but i would love to see reworks for hers because iri hatchet is horrendously boring
-
He's almost the same but slightly better, knight is not that strong
-
hot take: leverage was better before (if you get quick downs with idk, powered oni, hillbilly or blight)

now you can't say that, without giving details of what build you run?
I run botany knowledge with empathic connection and that one Jane perk (even before the buffs), I think it's called solidarity, for my 4th perk i use we'll make it, desperate measures or some information perk, but I was just joking, I don't really think i make much difference at all

Yeah but you can't play against Killer bots, earn BP, achievements/trophies, complete tome challenges, dailies, or play Events.
I see
-
@DNet89 said:
Probably a hot take but why don't we just separate both sides and play against random bots around each players skill level. Then everyone can play the way they want to play. But still make it where the bots still bring the same stuff the other side might bring like WoO and Pain res keep the percents of perk usage and character usage the same for balance reasons. And with bots everyone wins more often. We can get rid of the toxicity and everyone won't sweat as much. But like I said a Hot Take for sure.
i mean, we have custom matches

Blight was objectively bad during like the first week when people didn't know how to actually play him and to hug-tech/flick. And I'll admit that his FOV was ######### due to it coinciding with his height. Not to mention how clunky collision was. But as soon as all that was fixed folks started to dominate with him pretty quickly. Which took 6 months /at most/.
🤔

Nothing is in a particular order besides steve, i think he´s the best survivor in the game perk wise, babysitter is a really good anti tunnel perk to help your teammates AND gives you a little bit of info, Camaraderie is basically reasurance but for youself (and have more range), not exactly super good in solo Q, but in SWF it´s one of the best perk imo, second wind is kinda wathever but still works well
in my list if 1 survivor have like, 2 really bad perks and 1 god mega blaster giga supreme perk i´ll put it high up
feng and renato ar eon S because of lithe, bloodrush and background player
in my opinion, jill have always been S tier, counterforce is situational but it shreds through any hex build, i always liked resurgence (it was my main perk even when it had only 50% healing progress) and it´s also one of the best anti tunnel/time saver of the game, blast mine is… i mean, it´s blast mine
-
i´m not a comp player, but from my experience it is something like that

I don’t see why it couldn’t trigger while on Hook, but for everything else: Not with Killer Aura reveal: Makes cleansing Totems much safer, healing safer, every action more than 4s safer, and also gaining constant aura pings while not necessarily actively looking for such information.
Far, far too many cases of passively gaining information over a decent area while already in the process of performing “time efficient” actions.
Information is important, and shouldn’t be handwaived away simply because it isn’t as immediately interesting.
I see your point, but they could make more adjustments to balance the constant value you know?
-
@Jay_Whyask said:
They should make it take 2 seconds.
It's more efficient than giving the perk a new effect.
I like your idea though, it outclasses Dark Sense, which means the design team would need to buff or rework that perk too.
I think decreasing the cooldown is kinda risky because it would kill some mind games from the killer side, but they could test it
And I honestly forgot dark sense was a thing lol

Up!

Yes, basically the same thing, but I honestly think seeing the skins is fine, they could just hide the items or something like that

Unfortunately the internet allowed people to freely be disrespectful, the amount of death threats people make, the amount of people who call other people "idiots, imbeciles" (to not say other words) for simply making some mistakes in a video game... the best we can do is acting positive, because we don't know if the people in the other side of the screen actually needs help

I understand the thinking behind your statement, but the finisher mori isn't just an animation, it's a reward. Any playstyle a killer can use to get a 4k will get them the reward, and tunneling out a weak link in the early game will help get that for them. Proxy camping hooks or running back to unhooks is encouraged by it. Slugging for a 4k is encouraged by the system.
Also, there is some agency taken from survivors by the finisher mori since they go from having a very small chance to wiggle free to a zero percent chance. An animation on its own isn't equivalent to those things.
since the hook regeneration, the possibility so wiggle out is basically zero, so it doesn´t make much difference
-
100% is still a lot, and you can stack it, the perk is still better than before because you don´t need to build up stacks

Reverted The Skull Merchant's movement speed when Inspecting her Radar to 4.6 m/s.
This is whatever. Probably for the better.
The Skull Merchant sees scan lines from her Drones at all times. (NEW)
The Skull Merchant sees the aura of scan lines when Inspecting her Radar within 32 meters of the
Drone(s). (NEW)I don't get what seeing scan lines at all times entails if it's not seeing them through walls as well. Were there instances where Merchant did not see scan lines?
Machine Learning:
Decreased the duration of the effect once activated to 35/40/45 seconds. (was 40/50/60 seconds)Didn't need the nerf.
Predator:
Decreased the duration of the aura reveal to 4 seconds. (was 6 seconds)I'm not convinced this needed a nerf. It's a good perk sure, but it's only really broken on Nurse, who herself needs nerfs instead.
Zanshin Tactics:
Decreased the duration of the aura reveal to 3/4/5 seconds. (was 6/7/8 seconds)I do think this perk is a little cheap, but I also think perks like this need to be strong in order to justify spending slots on them over one of the various good slowdown perks. So I don't think this nerf is warranted either.
Distortion:
Decreased the requirement to regain a token to 15 seconds in chase. (was 30 seconds)An alright compensation for the 2-token nerf, as well as the fact that survivors now cannot just stealth indefinitely but need killer interaction to gain tokens.
Inner Focus:
Now only triggers from health state loss caused by the Killer.Silly they'd even spend time nerfing awful perks like this when they seemingly don't have time to buff the numerous other ones.
We're Gonna Live Forever:
Revert the heal speed increase to 100%. (was 150%)150% was definitely overtuned, especially since it stacks with med-kits. This is alright.
Fixed an issue that caused Killers to be able to unleash a Captured Haunt and perform a basic attack in quick succession.
A bit ridiculous that this was possible in the first place. Getting close to someone and instantly downing them is one thing, but it could also be used to instantly down an unhooked survivor again.
Fixed an issue that caused the Dark Lord's Hellfire charge SFX to be too low.
This might make it a tad more possible to play around. I hope the "general optimization pass to fix issues that caused multiple SFX to be missing" also pertains stuff such as Huntress, Wesker, Nemesis, hell, at times even Leatherface to not play the audio of readying their abilities.
Fixed an issue that caused the Wraith to be unable to move or attack after doing certain interactions when using the Serpent - Soot add-on.
This is nice.
The post uncloak movement speed is missing when destroying a Breakable Wall or Pallet, or damaging a Generator with The Wraith's "The Serpent - soot" addon
…This isn't nice. It hasn't worked properly in a long time. As an avid Wraith player and enjoyer of his diverse add-ons, this has long been a grievance of mine. To now address it as a known issue but not fix it is only rubbing salt into the wound.
Added Hooks spawners on the second floor of the Father Campbell's Chapel
I think generally BHVR should be much more concerned with the "reverse basement" that elevated hooks can constitute than… Boil Over working one time in a hundred matches? I'm not sure what drives them to have hooks in buildings like this. The one on Thompson House is particularly problematic.
Tentatively fixed the issue where players would face desync if they played the game on Low settings.
Good to hear. Now to see whether it actually is fixed…
I don't get what seeing scan lines at all times entails if it's not seeing them through walls as well. Were there instances where Merchant did not see scan lines?
She couldn't see scan lines further than 16 meters away
-
i absolutely loved the Adriana Changes, she´s still almost the same as before, but being able to see my scan lines again is just soooooo delicious 💗, and no more 4.4 makes me actually want use the radar (i need to stop overreacting to changes that much)

nah it's not just you. i'm getting some weird stuttering too that's unexplainable

The event is not that killer sided imo, the grenades are fun (and very useful for me), void portals are still insanely strong to make chases longer, the void itself have some good loops... I really don't mind the two Tap thing because It happens like, once in a while

i´m almost sure they fixed a very old bug where you would vault the limit of the limit of a vault, look down and turn around (or something crazy like that, but it was very very easy to do even on consoles)
you could literally save the slice and dice for later, like a nurse blink (or something like that, i don´t remember exactly)

Same. We already have enough of them and in my opinion Hillbilly and Oni are the only ones with a good design.
Wesker? Blight? Chucky?
Terrible.
We also shouldn't get more M2 zoning killers like Pyramid Head, but that is a topic for another time.
I miss the "creative" design we had before, I know it's hard to do it, but man, where are our Pig-like killers?

This seems to be what survivors want. They want every killer to be exactly the same with basically no variation; some sort of binary dash attack they can dodge and then claim that as skill. Any killer that is different, or has some sort of innate slowdown so they can't just loop or work on gens, gets labeled as "boring" or "unfun" or some other variation of that and then gets cried about until BHVR nerfs them into the garbage bin.
On point, pinhead for me (for example) is one of the most fun killers to face, even In solo q, i love the box itself, but I fear that they'll nerf it into the ground in a few patches considering his high kill rate
-
I just hope they don't turn her Into another hillbilly with extra steps like half of the characters in the game (yes, i'm talking about all the run forwards in high speed to injury survivor type killers)

I honestly feel the survivor lobbie should be hidden too, I don't understand why even in 2v8 you also do this. wouldn't it be better for the community to hide everyones? Lobby shopping is getting really bad recently, especially during the later hours.Anon mode, problem solved

When they collected feedback about maps, the most 2 common complains were map size and this god window. Have no idea why they decided to leave it here.
I wish they were more quick with maps, just little changes instead of full reworks, the first version of borgo was one of my favorite maps (don't laught pls) it would benefit a lot from some tweaks here and there but look what happened to him now..

A breakable wall to make it less good would be good. Although its a great Trap location for other Killers.
I got owned so bad by that gabriel/Kate on the main building that it literally attacked my anxiety haha my bad, but I do prefer your idea, I play a lot of trapper and skull merchant and I always put 2 drones/traps around it (and always work really well), a breakable door would help both trap killers and melee range killers

Flicks are kinda unheard of with a controller
i mean, on controller it´s possible to do some 30 degree flicks as nemesis, and 45 ones as pyramid head, but i think they could just increase his turn cap or something like that, the only reason i don´t play oni is because i know a random pc player will always perform better than me, because the killer is literally stronger in MnK :/
-
They should add 180 flick to consoles instead of removing it from pc, imo
-
i like your ideas but i think people underestimate how powerful his m2 is, the counterplay is literally break line of sight and pray for him to miss you (if he even tries to attack you instead of faking it) and i honestly don´t think this is problematic beecause the killer also have to make guesses to hit long range m2´s
Misty Day, Remains of Judgement = While using Rites of Judgement, Survivors within 8 meters of your position have their Aura revealed to you, but your Aura is also revealed to them. (rework)
this addon would possibly be one of the strongest addons in the game since 2016 (for killers) (8 meters is the range of his basekit m2) but besides that one i really really liked the addons
Irrelevant gameplay

Exploiting bugs =/= skill expression
Just because some bugs got fancy names like "hug tech" doesn't change the fact that they were bugs and thus needed to be fixed.
i kinda disagree, doomfist from overwatch for example is literally a bug mess, but the bugs are what made the character fun, the amount of places you can use to slide with your punch and gain height, the amount of movement techs to escape a lost team fight etc…
i think bhvr should embrace the bugs and work them out to be part of the kit, making balance changes obviously, just like they did with the knight, guard distraction was an insane bug that made knight guards almost useless if they were alone, but they added an effect, made balance changes and called it a day, same with guard replacement, they re-introduced the bug to his kit, made balance changes and boom, he´s more fun now
and even before, distracting guards was skill expression, you´re showing that you know how the character works
