All the time we spend leveling up our favorite characters and it's just a slap in the face.

I can't play my main without lobby dodging until a Killer with Lethal Pursuer joins and tunnels me out.

I just played as one of my lower prestige Survivors and the Killer just went for the P100 in the lobby. I even tried to take a protection hit, but the killer just ignored me running in his face and tunneled out the P100.

This is really beyond annoying at this point. Why are these not hidden until the end screen? What is the reason?

It either scares Killers away or forces them to laser focus on you. There is no in between.

I was tunneled out of a few matches Last week where I brought a Terrormisu and the Killers would take me out and then Farm with the other 3.

Has anyone heard from the Devs how their test went several months ago?

My issue with the perks is the amount of power they give the killer when their conditions are met. I know they are conditional, but the point I am making is the amount of power they grant the killer is way too much. This is why people complained about NOED so much and why they made changes to it. Survivors were sick of losing to a killer who gained insane power once the exit gates were powered all because a dull totem was left uncleansed. Survivors recognize situations where the killer's power difference jumps too far and makes the game feel entirely in the killer's favor.

Survivors have nothing on the same level as this. The perks we do have that could give us somewhat of an advantage are insanely conditional like Soul Guard. I tried using that perk for a few days and never once was able to get any use out of it. Why don't survivors have a perk that gives them the ability to block something accessible to the killer for a duration once their objective conditions are met? You could argue it would be too much power, but that is the same argument I'm making for these perks. The whole situation is not balanced. There are too many God tier killer perks and loadouts in this game that completely demoralize survivors. The only chance you have against many of them is a well coordinated and experienced SWF team. That is why so many people prefer SWF too. Solo que is far too risky to deal with these situations.

Hook sabo doesn't offer the same level of power as Remember Me and NWO. It also does nothing for the last survivor especially against these 2 perks.

hook sabos gives a lot of value, and it can you know, remove one hook from the map, if you take a hit the other survivor will not give him no way out, pain res, pop, any scourge, barbecue etc, can save you team mate

so NWO and RM are bad because the last survivor can´t escape even if he lost the hatch game?

    Yes.

Let me know when survivors are given a perk that allows them to block all hooks for the killer for 60 seconds, then I will be Ok with Remember Me and NWO.

hooking all 4 survivors while you try to tunnel one of them is not easy for more than half of the killers and pretty inconsistent because if the survivors play in a opressive way just eating those gens you´ll need to speedrun every chase, and the survivors can just hide after activating no way out, do you prefer a 30 seconds gate or corrupt + pain res + pop + dead mans?

Blessing a Dull Totem activates Boon: Illusionist.

If the killer is within 38 meter range of the blessed totem, the killers aura reading ability becomes twisted and shows the aura of every survivor twice. One aura is the aura of the survivor, the other one is a decoy, randomly placed around the map.

I hope i explained this perk in a understandable way.

    What do you think?

amazing idea but i think 38 meters radius is too much

They are too powerful and give too much reward for the killer. The activation requirement for both of these perks is also not that difficult to achieve. When 2 perks can prevent you from opening the exit gates entirely then they are overpowered. I cannot even think of a situation where the last survivor could even open an exit gate with these 2 perks active. That is not balance and it is not fair. Survivors have no incentive to try against this much power. Also, going the entire match without a functional perk is no excuse for this. Killers already have several overpowered perks that function more as an additional power than an added benefit. There should never be a situation where the last survivor is left with quite literally no way out. The power gap between survivors and killers in this game is too wide.

Survivors have nothing that gives them this level of power. There is no build a survivor can put together that gives them this much leverage or control in the end game as these 2 perks alone do They are too powerful together. Both of them need to be redesigned and until that happens these perks should not be allowed to be used together.

The activation requirement for both of these perks is also not that difficult to achieve.

So hooking every survivor once at the same time you tunnel the obsession out using only 2 perks before the end game (potential DS, MoM and potential good player) is easy?

And 4 seconds are doing nothing against m2 killers, they will catch you pretty fast again. Every second you make distance will help you, so 5 seconds matter for those killers.

Before you ask me what about m1 killers, yes i know they are exists. But most of games i am seeing Chucky, Nurse, Xeno, Wesker, Blight etc. So anti-tunnel perks need to be balanced against popular and strong killer, not weak killers.

If somehow they make killer lose power for 10 seconds, even 3 seconds DS will be fine. But if they keep everything same as the current DS 4 seconds won't change the fact perk is still garbage.

Before you ask me what about m1 killers, yes i know they are exists. But most of games i am seeing Chucky, Nurse, Xeno, Wesker, Blight etc. So anti-tunnel perks need to be balanced against popular and strong killer, not weak killers.

i have better one: the weak killers should be balanced to not be weak, and the ultra strong killers should be balanced to not be ultra strong, but well, they´ll change huntress for some reason

  • the teamwork perks are for a double survi vor chapter and needs to fit the character too, renato and thalita are basically BFF so it makes sense, power of two and the scratch mark one are a bit weak alone, but stronger together, you and your friend can run away super fast without leaving scratch marks

I mean we have to test this out if it actually does, but at the absolute minimum, all gens are 4 time locked for 30 seconds plus the 40 seconds on top of that. That is already broken.

In worst case scenario it works as i think it does. 12 seconds for Grim embrace and another 30 seconds for Dead Mans Switch since it is still running. For sure on all of those who were not on a gen during Grim Embrace.

No matter what, the game is bascially locked for an absolute minimum of over 2 minutes. No progress at all. And after that, the usual insanity with UW, Painres and DMS begins.

i think the generators block for 30 seconds when the GE activates no? i don´t think ultimate weapon is needed, maybe corrupt intervention will be a better perk for the meta

  • @xEa said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3635596#Comment_3635596

It is not op that you can basically perma block every gen for the entire game when people do not run calm spirit? And if they have, they might find a short window just to get pain res'd?

but ultimate weapon literally does nothing, the gens already block without the survivor even stop touching it, it´s indeed overtuned, any low tier killer (B or less) can lose with any type of build, the question is, can you lose as nurse with this build? (impossible challenge)

It is really a pity. There have been suggestions for new game modes on the forums in the past, but why did they choose this mode, which is the most boring? We have already experienced this mode with Dredge and it is not interesting. Also, the fact that it's dark means it's not suitable for streaming, and it won't be exciting for streaming.

    - 5v5 -

    • Two teams of 4 Survivors and 1 Killer face off to control the Generators

    • Capture the Generators by moving Generator progress towards you team’s side in a tug of war gameplay

    - 2v8 Party -

    • 2 Killers against 8 Survivors

    • Hooks are removed, but Cages of Atonement prevail

    - Hide and Seek -

    • No Generators

    • No Hooks, only Moris when downed

    • Stay alive for 5 minutes to escape through the exit gates

    • Auras are revealed every couple of seconds

    - Tag -

    • A random Survivor is picked to be the Killer

    • Down a player to swap roles

    • Survivor 5 minutes and Escape

    - Zombie Tag -

    • A random Survivor is picked to be the Killer

    • Down a player to swap roles

    • Once a Survivor turns to a Killer, they cannot turn back

    • Keep playing until only one Survivor remains

    - Swapped Perspective -

    • Killers plays in third person, while Survivors play in first person.

    - Deceivers -

    • Survivors work together to complete tasks before one or more “Deceiver” can kill everyone without being discovered

    • Played in rounds with voting in between

    - Disgustingly Scary -

    • The Fog is thicker and shrouded in darkness

    - Luck of the Draw -

    • Start the game with randomized Perks and Items

    - Giant -

    • Sizes are altered! Killers are turned into giants, while Survivors become tiny

    - Bumrush -

    • More Generators spawn on the map

    • Everyone moves at double speed

    • Survivors have 3 lives from which they revive after a 20-second timer

    - VIP -

    • When the Obsession is killed, everyone dies

    • Only the Obsession can open the gates for everyoneurvey to FINALLY get some alternatives to the stagnant, old and boring gameplay we have been used to for 7 very long years now.

Additionally, BHVR has said in the past that splitting the matching mode could split people up and slow down matching, and that they have no plans to split the matching mode into two: casual mode and ranked mode. However, now that the number of active users of DBD is decreasing, why do we divide the mode into two? If this is possible, it would be better to create an unranked mode and a ranked mode for a limited time, and give titles to the top players in the ranked mode, which would increase motivation.

they want to try something not that big like 2v8 to see how the matchmaking feels and if players actually want to play anything besides the classic 5 gens vs 12 hooks

  • i play on ps4 and i honestly can see it without any problems, do you play in idk, a room with a window? the light can make harder to see

The condemn lock on is literally useless now, 4 permanent stacks in a death on hook survivor, well really cool but it is NOTHING, just bring a memento mori and it will have a better effect than this, the tape does literally anything, it actually buffs survivors because 1 tv will be turned off and you can also turn of other tvs if you want, no downside, the condemn only applies to survivors 16 next to a TV if it´s ON, in bigger maps you will almost NEVER condemn any survivor with a working brain, and you also have a 10 seconds cooldown to use your condemn? so you can somehow waste a teleport? ok you can travel the map in 1 second but why?? the survivor can just grab a tape and be immune to her power for 70 seconds because the condemn doesn´t work in Off TVs (or 45 seconds i don´t remember correctly)

pls, you can keep the limit of permanent stacks but increase the amount of stacks, the anti-teleport spam is not needed because spamming your teleport everytime just hurts you, because you´re mostly stacking players without a tape, and bring back the ´´if you get hit with a tape, something bad happens´´ or even that old passive condemn, something to make the survivor actually have a reason to put the tape in another TV

bhvr don´t need to colect data, she looks so weak, it´s like ´´hmm i´ll make nemesis need to hit survivors 5 times now, i´ll collect data to see if it´s horrendous or not good luck nemesis players´´ just no

This one gives you almost infinite oblivious. With the inner heal you could still chase a survivor, down them, hook them, and sacrifice them to the entity. It didn't break the game. It just made it unbalanced, not "game breaking". We are talking about balance. So many survivors are running around with their heads cut off looking for the totem giving a huge unbalanced advantage to the killer while still having no terror radius for them. Players that are unaware of the bug and only know about the perk from it's description are expecting to see an aura so they won't look as hard for it around every corner.

I agreed with inner healing being kill switched. People are bringing this perk because it's bugged. Knowing they can exploit it just like people did with inner healing. On paper finding a totem sounds easy, but there have been a lot of games where I"m running around and I have no idea where it's at. And bringing a perk to counter a bug in the game is not the answer. You shouldn't have to waste a perk slot for it and not everyone has said perk that is behind a pay wall.

    ok

save the best and "stabiffle" are actually the same amount of syllables so they'd take the same amount of time to say

I personally now call it "stabiffle" when playing on voice chat with others so it's not confused for "save" as in "go get the hook save", since that has actually happened before and that mistake cost us the game lmao

The Inner Healing bug where you could use it more than once wasn't a game breaking. That got killed switched right away as soon as the devs found out about it. It didn't crash the game, didn't make anyone invisible, didn't make the survivor unable to be downed and hooked, etc. So why was that kill switched? Is it because it made the game unbalanced? I agreed it needed to be kill switched. Not being able to see your hex aura and there being no terror radius because you can't find your hex is unbalanced. I've had so many games with Plaything back to back that I stopped playing survivor and will only play killer because that bugged perk is too OP right now. There is a reason they added the ability to see the aura of that hex when you're close to it. Why was Inner Healing kill switched right away and not this one? It's the inconsistency for me.

it gives you almost infinite heals, so yes, it was ´´game breaking´´

  • Nemesis, Michael Myers and Skull merchant, yes, skull merchant

I lowkey miss the DS + UB + BT + exhaustion perk meta. Why? Because it left nearly no room for gen rushing perks. Also, if you didn't tunnel, camp, or slug you frequently invalidated 75% of the survivor perks in the lobby. I planned to play that way anyway, so getting an indirect reward for it was nice.

the problem is, DH, DS and BT wasn´t anti tunnel and anti camp perks, but chase perks, in the past BT was terror radius based and DS activate aat the start of the match

I have been involved in way to many discussions around this so it is only fair that i stick with that standard. Those i said are basically 1 to 1 quotes.

EDIT: Killer mains defend the 60% killrate. The reason why it is "fair" for them is because killer is supposed to be the scary monster and therefore they should win more often.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3632153#Comment_3632153

That is also not neccessary true. Again, i can only say what i remember, but it was pretty even. Also Trapper or Pig had high winrate on top level. I am aware that nightlight is not accurate, but it is close enough for reference. There the winrates speak the same language.

About top MMR on specific killer. From what seems to be logical to me is that high winrate = high MMR. Therefore, when Trapper on high MMR has lets say 60% winrate and Nurse has 60% winrate, they play against the same kaliber of survivors.

oh no not the ´´via statistics, trapper and nurse are at the same level´´

    jokes aside

those graphics means literally nothing, because every single person in this world ignore the fact that survivors and killers are not npcs, they´re human beings, human beings with mental problems, human beings that can sometimes be exhausted, that just give up on hook just because he died in a chase, or dc after 1 gen pop before the 3k, human beings that makes mistakes, you can´t use graphics and statistics for something that is almost NEVER consistent, you need to know why the graphic looks like that

that´s why you see something like ´´28% of the mario kart players are bad because [...]´´ and not ´´28% of the mario kart players are bad´´

and no, horrendous survivors can have a high mmr by just bringing full stack and lasting more than 40 seconds in chase, that´s one of the reasons why killers like trapper, wraith etc have a good killrate/winrate, and you see a lot of meg-level players as your team mates, because the survivors are bad or not even bad, sometimes they´re ´´not good enough´´, they are so comfortable because ´´Uh i can do my objective 10% faster now it´s a free gg´´, and because of that they´ll make mistakes

and then we have killers like the nurse, or maybe the huntress with iri head using midwitch map offering + 400 aura reading perks to ´´cheese´´ a win against the survivors i´ve mentioned before

It's a vicious cycle, bad players will always face each other, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, but at some point they will face a player who is more experienced in the game and they will lose, then they will complain

and cmon, perkless and addonless blight is not even that strong, if a SWF team wants to break that streak they´ll break it

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

We know this perk is on the road map, so it will be changed. We don't know what BHVR is planning but how you would change it?

    Me personally;

I'd do it work for both hook states and make it 5 seconds again. This would reduce tunnelling for sure because right now DS is joke level perk for killers.

they shouldn´t buff DS like that, jus make it 4 or 5 seconds, perks are not the best way to ´´fix´´ something, especially a paid one

Hyperfocus is just used in Genbuilds and needs top notched recation time to be good. Renato had only Background Player to be useful. Gabriel just had Made for this, and now its trash too. Nic has no good perk at all. Ellen has no good perks at all. Anti-Facecamp just made proxy camping more fluently, didnt made much of an impact. Old Borgo was trash for everyone. Toba is also not a good map. New BNP was a nerf. anti-3gen is just another workaround that mostlikely does not much on its issue. GoJ wasnt even changed much at all. And Vittorio has just fogwise, thats niche.

hyperfocus and reassurance are super strong what are you talking about man, yes, i was talking about background player, troubleshooter anss scavenger are really good, and mft is not even bad now, it´s just not super OP like before, you can still get the endurance and its a really good anti tunnel, plot twist and dramaturgy are insanely good, but it looks goofy so you probably don´t notice it (scene partner is ok), lucky star is decent, trap is really good if you´re in a dead zone or need to make a lot of distance (like the new alan wake perk) and lightfooted is not bad, it´s decent and works well in the firsst step of a chase

anti face camp is indeed a good thing, it makes proxy camping harder too, old borgo was really good for survivors, not that strong but not weak, toba has a lot of random trash and some really good loops if you know how to run them, not that strong but not weak, new BNP is not just a nerf, it´s a rework, and the 10% you remove from the gen can´t be regressed like the old bnp, new anti 3 gen is not that good? it literally removes the 3gen holding, how is it not good? and goj changed a lot, the main building is even stronger now

i don´t think i said that vittorio have strong perks, i said that they´re good and i liked them, you should stop using only meta stuff (or something like that) and try to use the potential of other perks friend :)

and this is not an ´´us vs them´´, the game is in a really good state now btw

1 … 12 13 14 15 16 … 18
