He's one of my favorite killers, though sadly I doubt his license will ever return. I feel so bad for all the new players who can't play as him ๐ฅ
-
I actually used to BM all the time, tea-bagging, flashlight clicking, hitting on hook, etc. I'd even send stupid little messages after the match like your classic "GG EZ" and stuff.
That was around maybe seven years ago now? I stopped after I realized that I was acting like a child and making people's days worse for no reason, and I suggest everyone who still BM's does the same.
-
No, but I'd expect the worse
-
Congrats! Getting any P100 is never easy, especially Unknown!
-
I'd be down! Though I also don't think you can truly call it old DbD without all the broken nonsense on both sides

If you arent agaist idea of blight needing some adjustments than this patch isnt that worst excet nerfs to addons (ghostfaces etc.) there isnt anything negative here I would say which is good but dam some buffs are like nothing ghostface, doctor.
I didn't say that it was bad, I said it was empty. Like there's very few changes, and even fewer that warrant any kind of testing.
-
It took me like over a year to get my first P100, how do people move this fast ๐ญ
-
This might be one of the emptiest PTB's I've ever seen
-
Yeah, personally I'm really disappointed that Legion was just straight up removed. It was my hope that 2v8 would eventually become permanent and that every killer (besides maybe some licensed ones who were being difficult) would be added.
I feel like 2v8 has become stagnant. The devs know that most of the community still loves it, so they no longer really try to significantly shake things up. Hearing now from Behavior themselves that they won't bother integrating every original character because they don't feel like it leaves a very poor taste in my mouth, especially since I tend to enjoy the less popular killers.
I used to adore 2v8, but nowadays my enthusiasm for it is at an all-time low. The first iteration of it is somehow still the best version.
-
I genuinely have no idea why this is so downvoted. Vigil is 100% overtuned and in need of a nerf. It should not affect killers' abilities at the very least. Just because there are also OP perks on the killer's side does not give Vigil and the exhaustion perks it buffs a free pass.
Ideally we should be dealing with all of these busted perks across the board so that people stop getting carried by them and actually have to use some modicum of skill to win.
-
I think a big problem with Doctor is the fact that survivors can press the vault button as they're running up to the pallet/window. This effectively means that from your perspective, you can shock a survivor before they start the vaulting animation, yet they will still vault over anyways because them running was actually apart of the animation.
This is rarely a problem for other killers, but it feels horrible for Doctor, especially when latency is factored in. I think the simplest fix would just be to have his shock cancel the vault unless the survivor has reached the point in the animation where they are actively touching the interactable.
-
I have no idea why it doesn't already work like this.
-
I'll be completely honest, for me Sprint Burst almost singly-handedly ruins 2v8. It's already infuriating enough in normal 1v4, but having to deal with a buffed version of it is absolutely tiring.

Hi! Hope everyone is doing fine.
Considering the huge success of Myers rework, its time to rework other less played killer too!
Since there are some people who HATES the Knight, i think its time to please them: REWORK THE KNIGHT
Guardia Compania: The Knight can summon his guards to aid him in combat, making him a great menace to every survivor in trial.
Hold the power button to charge up and press the attack button to go forward, damaging any survivor in the path.
(Its going forward, not dash!)
The Knight can use three skills with separate cooldowns:
Carnifex Strike: You can go forward with strength, breaking any pallet or breakable wall you make contact (ends the power if breaks anything)
Assassin Strike: You can go forward with speed, vault over any dropped pallet or window (ends the power if vaults anything)
Jailer Strike: You can go forward with dexterity, giving killer instinct on any survivor up to 14m close while going forward (ends the power after going forward).
Secondary Power:
Compania Presence: 7 standarts will spawn through the map. Hold the secondary power button to teleport to the standard. 30s cooldown
Addons:
Dried Horsemeat: increase going forward distance by 2%Battle Axe Head: decrease the cooldown after hitting a survivor with the Carnifex Strike by 2%
Cold Steel Manacles: decrease the cooldown after hitting a survivor with the Jailer Strike by 2%
Knight's Contract: Decrease the cooldown of every guard strike after kicking a generator. NO RECHARGE time
Did you like my unique idea for a Knight rework? Leave your comments!
(Its April 1st joke guys)
Congratulations, you actually started ragebaiting me because I forgot what day it was ๐

I don't have much experience with Twins so I can't offer much, but the content creators Lynxi and Pixel Bush (former Twins main) both have lots of guides and advice on how to play them.

I did 5000 hours on Switch (docked) before cross progression became available and went to PS5.
Damn, congrats! It just seems to me though that Behavior (probably with no help from Nintendo) treat the Switch version of the game like an afterthought.
-
To be honest, I don't know how anyone plays this game on the Switch. Seems kind of like a nightmare to me.

We know BHVR hyperfocuses on making changes based on their own stats. Whether or not Blight needs changes doesn't matter if BHVR doesn't register it as a problem because their own stats says he is fine.
While that is true, I feel like even Behavior has to know by now how strong Blight is. I think the real reason they don't give him any significant nerfs is because then it would just be Nurse in S tier, which would then even further highlight how strong SWF's can be. Nerfing Blight would cause a chain reaction that would invoke many more balance changes across the board, which would be a lot of work for Behavior that they don't feel like doing.

Regardless, to say that Fast Track isn't broken is crazy.
That's not what I'm saying though. I do think it should be toned down, but I also think the devs are going to hold off on doing that until they can gather more data, because that's what they love to do.

We shouldn't be balancing a killer around what 1 player has accomplished with them. BHVR put out their stats last week and Blight wasn't even in the top 5 killers for Kill Rate in both High MMR and Broad MMR. This is very likely why blight gets passed over for changes. He's simply not overperforming according to their own stats.
Stats aren't everything though, in fact they can often be misleading. Everyone knows that Nurse has been the strongest killer in the game (or at least tied with Blight) for years, and yet she has a low kill rate because many new players try her and don't understand how her power works. The same can be said with Blight. That's not an excuse to leave these characters in their current state. No killer should be able to win nearly 2,000 matches in a row, even if they're hard to master.

There are always new players ready to not want to wait for the shards farming and get the DLC directly
That can basically be applied to every original survivor who's perks are buffed though. I do think the devs are guilty of adding overpowered abilities and perks to the game to boost sales of new chapters only to nerf them later, but this isn't a new chapter, they're just adjusting something that has already been in the game for years.
-
Yun-Jin is a free character that has been in the game for five years. I don't think they are concerned about her sales.
-
It is absolutely ridiculous that someone can win that many matches in a row. It frustrates me to no end that the devs continue to make balance changes to other killers while completely ignoring Blight and Nurse.

Goddamn you might just be right. DBD was very stressful when I first started. Now, I switch off the stress parts of my brain as much as I can and keep a good mental.
Wraith is the killer I never get shaken on, even if I'm being ground into paste by every pallet on the map, bagged, flashed, DS'd, head-on'd and every other thing a survivor can do. I got my bell. It bongs. It drowns out the mental warfare.
Maybe that lack of stress is the draw. That's pretty much exactly how I feel as well! There's just something about Wraith and the other killers similar to him that makes it so much easier to focus while playing as them. I get this sense of confidence that I otherwise don't have.
When play Oni, Deathslinger, or Vecna for instance, sometimes I get frustrated because I'm misplaying their powers - which loses me the match. But with Wraith, or Legion, or Trapper, they don't really have powers to misplay in that sense. Obviously you can make mistakes, but for the most part whenever I lose as them it's because either I made a wrong prediction about how the survivors were going to play, or I just get an incredibly well prepared team that you simply need an A or S tier killer to beat. (But that honestly doesn't happen very often)
-
It's such a shame how Myers was basically left alone since his addition to the game only to get saddled with this awful rework just months before he was removed. I used to play him all the time, but nowadays almost never. I can't help but think it's because the devs wanted to drive up sales right before he left. Either way, they turned one of the oldest and most iconic characters in the game into big Chucky ๐

Hello! Welcome to Dead by Daylight! ๐ Is there anything you'd like to know in particular?

I'd consider myself 'bad' by community standards but average by actual wider playerbase standards. I understand loops, I can pull off a mindgame, I can zone and have some level of macro sense. I approach discussion on this forum with the perspective of the average player instead of comp/high-level, because it's the only perspective I have.
I'm good at Wraith, which isn't saying much because apparently everyone is good at Wraith. I've gotten to a point where I can commit chases and see very fast downs/hooks with him, no hit and run/sloppy butcher required to win. I get my pressure almost exclusively through downs/hooks. This tells me I have a solid grasp on the most basic way to play killer, as I'm not just w-ing down baby survivors on repeat. I am seeing p100 survivors with legitimate skill in my lobbies now, and they don't thrash me like they used to. Not even doing anything cheesy with silent clapper/map offerings.
Most other killers, bar a couple left to unlock, I've given a fair amount of time to. I resonate with their kit more in terms of playstyle (see: Spirit), but for some reason, I'm just not really getting anywhere. I've hit a plateau where using their power almost feels like a detriment to my performance, but remain quite able to close out a M1 chase.
It keeps steering me back to Wraith as he embodies what I succeed with best, but I worry. I know Wraith isn't considered S-tier, but is there a crutch-element to using him? Am I stilting myself?Or am I truly a Wraith main, trapped in the closet?
Seems to me like you might just enjoy the M1 killers who rely more on mindgames and macro knowledge rather than sheer mechanical skill.
That's how I've always been. Throughout my years playing DbD I just gravitated more towards that kind of playstyle - I found the "challenge" (since many M1 killers are seen as weak by the community) enjoyable and I liked excelling in the 1v4 instead of brute forcing chases in the 1v1.
Ultimately what matters is if you're having fun! If playing Wraith makes you happy then bing-bong to your heart's content ๐

I've been hoping for a Resident Evil 7/8 chapter since before the first one was even announced. I don't know if we'll ever get one though ๐

Goth girl and Golden child who else, I hope they will be worth it.

Best way to play killer before was to slap endgame perks plus some chase and ingfo perks (not bound to gens like nowhere to hide) and try to get kill before endgame so you could destroy rest with that endgame build because blood gens were done in like 30-45 seconds when two people did one so all you had to do was as survivor 4 blood gens ( took like max 60 seconds but average time was like around 40 seconds) and one normal gen.
Not surprised, just a little disappointed ๐
-
Oh wow a new Sable skin! She really needed a new one soon!
-
Houndmaster needs many things, an add-on pass definitely being one of them. Basically all of them are either bugged, useless, or both.

i nicknamed Armin "Simple Jack" bscause once you see it you can't unsee it...
Damn they really do look like ๐คฃ
Like why did they give his skin to Felix? I know Dwight got the Eren skin but I feel like he fits Armin more
-
I have a couple:
- Instead of getting the actual characters from Attack on Titan, it's just the preexisting survivors cosplaying them. "Armin" especially looks awful
- Kenaki is wearing the wrong outfit by default
- Myers' model looks nothing like how he did in the first Halloween movie
- As far as I know, Freddy's carrying animation is still bugged after years
- It's still not possible to change menu backgrounds or music
- Older killers share many animations while newer ones do not
- Certain killers like Deathslinger and Houndmaster still have not had any add-on passes
- There is very little variation in survivor body types
- Michonne and Rick's voices
- Community skins are often missing certain design elements when they are eventually added to the game. (i.e. Fear of Reminiscence, Winter Warrior, Never Stop Slashing)
-
I actually quite like Houndmaster. I would definitely play her more if she wasn't completely neglected

his rework isnโt awful
He actually had Lethality now, he can smash pallets in a chase, insta down and get long range downs like nothing AND kill people on death hook without having to down??
heโs incredibleI don't hate every aspect of it, like the add-on reworks, but the core of his changes being the addition of Slaughtering Strike (a recycled and unthematic ability) is what I and so many others dislike. He's certainly stronger than before, but creativity should always come before strength in my opinion.
-
It especially sucks that he got that awful rework right before he's going to leave the game. He was left basically unchanged for almost a decade, and then like two months before he gets removed is when Behavior decides to change him? ๐ญ
-
Thanks for the warning! God, some people are sick
-
Honestly? Maybe Ghoul. Each layer of his terror radius sounds both menacing and reminiscent of music from the anime.
My least favorite would probably be Hags. It's not terrible by any means, but the chase is very repetitive.
-
2% mathematically does absolutely nothing, what are they smoking?
-
No, I miss it too ๐
-
Huh, it's usually on killer when I play

It's actually baffling to me that there aren't more Re skins and characters. There's sooooo much left from the franchise that they could use.

Absolutely!
There's a je ne sais quoi missing from the descriptions these days. I used to always go through and read the little lore tidbits that came with new cosmetics but I rarely do these days. Only for characters I'm particularly invested in. Even then, they don't quite land the same, as you say. Although exactly what's off about them I'm not sure. The tone I think? They almost feel like they exist sort of as jusitifications for the gaudy cosmetics. It's like the developers are aware the concepts of some of these fits are getting a bit silly so they try and reel it back in with a gritty flavour text, but it doesn't quite work.
Like "Rin lost everything, and in her last moments she swore revenge on her murderous father" doesn't really feel tonally appropriate for a cosmetic where she's made of stained glass and has purple spikes everywhere lol. It's a little goofy.
It's still better than the era of this though I suppose๐คฃ
"Without his armor he could be stabbed."
