how bad is The Third Seal? i generally never see it
Yeah, it's not typically very common. Blindness doesn't usually do that much unless you heavy slug.
It's rare that I encounter it, though when I do it's normally a Twins, Oni, or Wraith (for some reason?) running a full hex build and playing like their life's on the line. Not what I would call fun to go against 😅
Blindness in general just needs a rework in my opinion.
-
I've mained a few killers over the years, like Freddy, Legion, and Myers, though I've always been sort of a general player.
Though recently there seams to be one word echoing throughout my head on repeat:
S.T.A.R.S…
-
Sprint Burst for sure. By far the laziest perk in the entire game yet also one of the strongest.
As for survivor, maybe Third Seal? I pretty much only play solo-que so getting a killer who runs that and slugs the whole game isn't exactly fun.
-
Genuinely surprised this didn't happen. Then again they still haven't given Joey and Susie their own default outfits yet either.
-
I think it's honestly kind of ridiculous that with how much Behavior loves this game mode they still haven't added a majority of killers yet.
-
Dream blunt rotation:
Very wholesome though I wish the community interacted with each other more like this (:
-
I hope so. The current badges are nice but I feel like we need something more.
-
I had no idea certain countries weren't allowed to enter. That sucks!
While I'm sure it's something to do with international law and is probably out of Behavior's hands, you have my sympathies regardless

He created one of the most iconic horror villains of all time. I hope Ringu and Sadako continue to live on not just in DbD but in the creative/public space forever.

Vader fits more into DBD than Nick Cage, Lara Croft, and Castlevania. BHVR has let plenty of non-horror franchises into the game. Make me understand the sudden gate keeping.
There is no way you just said Star Wars belongs in DbD over Castlevania - The series about fighting Count Dracula and his hordes of demons, monsters, and undead.
I for one was also was against Tomb Raider being added, but I believe the Vader "gate keeping" is because Star Wars is a far bigger IP that is not connected to the horror genre in the slightest. It sometimes has mature elements of course, but in my opinion more people need to learn that maturity does not equal horror.
-
Wraith is not in need of a nerf. Body blocking is one of the very few chase tools he has, and you can use it to your advantage if you know that's what he's planning to do.
-
I would be severely disappointed if Vader ever gets added.
-
I was a P100 Freddy main up until his most recent rework. While it definitely made him stronger, in terms of creativity and fun it felt like a side-grade at best.
Before his snares were like traps and you actually had to know how to set them up correctly around loops to get the full value from them, now it's just a boring projectile that can be shot through walls. Additionally his teleports' much shorter cooldown incentivized faking and mind games. The only improvement was to his dream pallets, as using them like remote bombs that you can coerce survivors towards is actually inspired and in-character. (Though it is incredibly stupid that Freddy can now be stunned by his own fake pallets, which was previously a bug that I assume the devs didn't know how to fix so they just made it a "feature".)
Don't get me wrong, while I did genuinely enjoy playing Freddy, part of me also mained him because I hoped that Behavior's promised rework would return him to a state much closer to that of his original release, with some modern updates and improvements. Specifically, I was really hoping that he would have an ability similar to the upcoming Grimoire killer or the Void, where his dream world would function as an actual separate part of the map that survivors would be trapped in.
Instead, this rework proved to me that either Behavior, the license holders, or both, don't really care about making Freddy Kruger actually feel like Freddy Kruger, and despite him being my only character to ever reach P100 my motivation to play him his has basically dropped to zero.
-
I have no idea why Ghostface is effectively barred from using his power near someone he's already hooked, and yet plenty of other, stronger killers, get to use theirs. Please just remove this.
-
Don't know why the devs are still so stingy with bloodpoints in the big 26
-
I don't know how people defend this killer. She's been S-tier basically since she released and still has no meaningful form of counterplay other than to just hope the Nurse you're going against isn't good. She's not event that difficult to play either - definitely not the hardest in the game.
-
They finally fixed her lobby animation after like a year which broke multiple of her add-on's. Make it make sense 😂

An avoid offering would actually be so nice.
A Swampless life would be a step towards Nirvana. At this point we will literally never get the Swamp rework. So much for the realm beyond

BHVR have admitted they can't even put most of the game's Killers into 2V8. It will remain popular so long as it's a limited time mode but let's be realistic about its future, 2V8 has already come to the end of the road. So long as new players are still joining the game it will have a player base, but to everyone else it will begin to feel stale before too long. Killer is more popular because it's a novel experience to team up with another Killer and I think that's probably the main appeal for most who enjoy it.
I don't even think it's true to say it lacks the sweat of 1V4. After all, you double the top tier Killers and you double the sweat (especially if they're both competent with their Killer and/or a KWF on comms). I've had some 2V8 trials be the biggest one-sided Survivor/Killer stomps of my DBD career.
I will never get over the fact that Behavior put Legion in 2v8, and then just decided to remove him forever instead of actually finding a way to make him enjoyable. They were also mystified by the thought of Dredge/Trickster/Huntress interacting with lockers together, which I think shows where their heads are at. I've just resolved myself that my main will never be added.

They don't really bother me

i want to choose my words carefully because I don't want to make it seem I'm calling her ugly but her base outfit seems to me like they couldn't make up their mind if they wanted a cultist or a sexy survivor and just went half and half.
her cult outfit should be default. I'll die on that hill. again, I'm not calling her a paper bagger I think its cool she does something different and caters to other people. rock on to everyone who likes the shaved head or the mullet. it's just the clothes.
I actually really like Taurie, but she reminds me of Skull Merchant in that I think her base outfit kind of sucks. It looks like she's wearing pajamas or a bad halloween costume instead of the uniform of an ancient and powerful cult. I 100% agree that her purple cult cosmetic should've been her default.
-
Good, now lets move on to nerfing the rest of the meta perks across both sides so that people actually have to use their brain to play.
Oh, and btw, the perk is still good, just not absurdly busted anymore
-
Naughty Bear vs Eren is literally the Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby meme
-
As someone who actually likes playing Trapper and is a huge fan of AoT… I'm still not going to buy this. A $15 legendary skin that comes with nothing new other than a janky looking menu animation is laughable. Hell, they actually removed his spawning-in animation from mobile 😂

You're saying the majority of survivors aren't good while blaming the game for killers doing bad. Do you not see the hypocrisy in that? "Killer lost, it's the game's fault; survivor lost, it's their fault." I've seen great players of every killer, and I've seen people who do well with anyone. Stop blaming the game for your loses.
I think what I'm saying makes perfect sense, you just don't want to listen to it. And by the way, I win a majority of my games, which is saying something because I primarily play weaker killers without gen regression. I flat out should not be able to do that, but I can because most of the survivors that I'm going against aren't playing very well. Behavior needs to actually implement advanced tutorials and strategy guides so that more people understand what they're doing, and then buff the weaker killers so they can compete against competent survivors.

So, if survivors win it's because the game is catered to them. If they lose, it's just because majority of them don't know how to play. Does killer skill factor in at all? CCs have turned this community's brains to mush
"So, if survivors win it's because the game is catered to them. If they lose, it's just because majority of them don't know how to play."
Uhh, yeah, that's literally what I said. The majority of survivor players are not outstanding at this game, which is why even the weakest killers like Skull Merchant, Ghostface, or Trapper are still able to hold a fairly decent kill rate. Yet the moment any of these killers who are B-tier or lower go against a team that actually knows what they're doing, they don't stand a chance.
And yes, obviously killer's have to have skill to win. What kind of question is that? If you're not good at a certain killer then you're going to struggle even against below average survivors. The problem is that it doesn't matter how good you are at playing a specific killer, because for the majority of the roster there's really not much you can do against genuinely good survivors who aren't holding back. Only the A-tiers can somewhat hold their own, and basically only Blight and Nurse have a shot at actually winning.
And by the way, my brain is not "mush" because you reside in an echo chamber and I have a different opinion than you. Smh, grow up
-
It would be really fun, but at the same time I think this game would genuinely just explode if Behavior tried to implement it. Like it can barely handle a normal update, let alone VR

I've got a decent amount of hours in the game but never gave any attention to the lore. With seeing some dbd-reels I'm getting an itch to start reading into them. Any chapters/characters in particular you'd recommend to start with?
I'm just gonna trust what Bixel Bush says and suggest Twins or Plague, though reading about whoever your main is would also be a pretty good start!
-
My STBFL and Help Wanted combo was just too strong apparently, guess I'll have to switch to Pain Res and Grim Embrace 🤷

YES i was talking about the community skins they’ve added. But I don’t want my characters are skins i want them to actually be a chapter. Thank you for liking it tho as it took a while to figure out everything. If I knew how to make my own game I would but I don’t so i really hope dbd looks at this cause it would be a dream come true.
Dang, well I really don't want to seem like a debby downer, but I don't think Behavior is allowed to add actual characters to the game unless it's a big license. If you want to do more with these characters though, have you considering writing about them? That's what I've done sometimes
-
I don't understand why the new voice lines also caused Steve and Nancy's screams, grunts, and other affects to be revoiced. Don't the Walking Dead survivors have separate voice actors between their speaking lines and screaming? I miss the Steagull…😥
-
I had no idea they decreased the chance to 20%! I've noticed map offerings weren't working, but I thought it was a bug. What is the point in having them at 20%? They're basically completely useless now.
I've been saying for awhile now that map offerings need to be inversed - as in they should prevent you from going to a specific realm. That would actually give you a reason to collect them, because you could just burn a Nostromo or Toba offering every game 😂

I played when the game first released… as a killer the survivors hardly ever got away free. That’s what the basement is for. You balance it by adding a few more permanent hooks.
You clearly weren’t playing in the beginning, you’re supposed to wiggle free when someone sabotages the hooks etc which is why the mechanic was in the game from the beginning. This made teamwork a core part of the game instead of every survivor out for themselves. The game is boring now… TOO MANY hooks and the basement is not used how it should be. Whiners who couldn’t play to the original mechanic caused this.
On your point about the basement, the only time killers use the basement is when they knock someone close to or inside the building with the basement. They never use it as intended because of the changes that have been made. The balancing is way off now because of all of the changes. The killers used to go down there when they couldn’t hook outside as originally intended. You’re clearly a late game player who is used to the new mechanics which have ruined the game. And yes I want permanent hook sabo back but balance it.. like having a certain amount of hooks that can be permanently sabo’d and once that number is hit. The following ones that are sabo’d respawn.
I want the game to be FUN again and for the core mechanics to still be in play like the basement… not the state that it is in now
"You're clearly a late game player who is used to the new mechanics which have ruined the game"
I've been playing this game since 2018, so try again.
Have you stopped to consider that the mechanics you are talking about were removed for a reason? They were actively making the game worse and holding it back. Game design changes over time.
The fact that you think bringing back permanent hook sabo and that basement isn't one of the most powerful tools in the killer's arsenal tells me that you have no understanding of the way the game is currently balanced. I suggest you put in some more hours or watch some informational videos before you blindly call for outdated and senseless mechanics from 2016 to be reimplemented.

I'm skeptical. stacking is already meme tier, and I don't see superior anatomy or xenos vault addon being buffed in any meaningful way to reach current values without just escalating power levels
Yeah, I can't help but feel as though this is going to have the opposite effect of increasing the amount of meta perks being run, not the opposite.
-
I haven't actively been making a list, but man have I seen a ton of Nostromo, Toba, and Mother's Dwelling. The latter I don't mind that much, but the two former? Yuck
-
Honestly, fairly sweaty for me. I primarily play killer, and basically every match is survivors all bringing the strongest meta perks in the game while I'm out here rocking no gen regression.
I've also been trying to play more survivor though, but damn is it rough getting tunneled out by John Ghoul running full slowdown. I really think perks need to be nerfed across the board.
-
Yes, I have noticed an uptick in this sort of content. While I think some of it is definitely over the top, I feel like it's a pretty common consensus right that survivor is in a very strong state.
Yet despite this, killers still have a pretty good kill rate because the majority of survivors simply don't know what they're doing. Behavior looks at this data and thinks "hmm, survivors must be struggling, lets give them buffs", despite survivors already being strong provided they understand how the game works. They've been doing this for awhile now, which is what has led to all this frustration.
-
Wow, I really like all the attention to detail that was shown! I'd love to have a killer in the game who is visually fighting for control over the Entity! The power is simplistic but seems like it'd be fun for both sides, though I can't really comment how strong it would be without seeing how it would function in an actual match.
Unfortunately, I'm not really sure what you mean with your last sentence. There's never been a killer or survivor created by the community before. The closest thing we have to that is the Grimoire, but even then it hasn't released yet and the devs created the options that the community could pick from. Unless you were referring to the community skins, in which case you could certainly present Isabelle and The Proxy, but sadly they would have to be skins for preexisting characters.
-
Either of these definitely need to happen imo. Vigil is an extremely unhealthy perk, and it was honestly fine before it got buffed.
-
Do you want survivors to just to get away for free? When the killer picks you up, you are supposed to be hooked. Wiggling free is not meant to happen unless the killer misplays and tries to take you too far or your team actively intervenes with things like sabo and body blocking.
And what is this about wanting permanent hook breaking back? That was removed for a reason. It made the game boring and frustrating for both sides and never should have been implemented in the first place.
Lastly, no, basement is not pointless, and killers still use it. Getting even one hook in basement can be enough to turn a match around, especially for certain killers who can pressure it easily.
-
Literally everything about Sable, lol. She was made with the sole purpose of selling skins, and that's it. Like, literally just take one look at idle animation. No one stands like that. She's just accentuating her hips and sticking her butt out in an extremely uncomfortable way, and it bothers me to no end.

thank you so much. Im about to post my killer concept to go along with it as well :)
Ohhhh, nice! Could you tag me so that I could see it?
-
You shouldn't be scared to show your work, I think it's really good! We definitely need more survivors who are just regular people, it feels like we haven't gotten that many recently.
-
Going from the blood moon back to the normal game felt like getting hit with a brick. There needs to be some sort of permanent multiplier.

Where'd all the personality go? This looks like a spreadsheet 😭

The Hange skin for Zarina is the best one, imo. The Mikasa/Annie ones are okay, and the rest outside of the Armored Titan just range from meh to bad.
Of course even as a big AoT fan I have always thought it was a weird fit for a collab overall.
Yeah, it definitely caught me off guard when they added it. Then again, Behavior hasn't really cared about maintaining any sort of horror atmosphere for a long time now.

no joke I think I've seen the Simple Jack skin for Felix twice, I think that has to genuinely be the runner up for worst skin in the game.
Whyyyyyyyyy did they use his season 4 design? I know people have different opinions, but imo Armin looks sooooo much better in the previous seasons
-
The AoT collab in general was such a disappointment to me.
The music is good don't get me wrong, but the skins themselves are really underwhelming. I hate how they're just cosplays of the AoT characters, not the actual real characters. Some like Mikassa and Annie look pretty decent, but then you have others like Levi and Armin who just look terrible. Then of course you have the killer skins which don't come with any new animations, voice lines, sound effects, or mori's.
Either we should have gotten actual legendary skins of the AoT characters, or if they wanted to stick to just cosplays then there's no excuse not to add more of the cast.
To your point, it is pretty funny seeing the Attack Titan walking around setting up bear traps, though I actually do like playing Trapper. Unfortunately I'm almost certainly not going to buy this skin if it doesn't come with any of the things I listed above.
