  • They already do come with dancing emotes, slightly bare bones but still...

In order to see them, bring a blood warden and enjoy the dancing.

He does smirk, just contrast isn't as high as in the old one and default expression isn't as overdone as if some 12 yo kid posed a model in a gmod.

Old models had high contrasts on them, new ones are smoother both in texture settings and models.

Pop is stronger then surge. I use Pop, Ruin, Survillence,BBQ.

I did anyways..It was bugged recently..So no clue if it's fixed yet. But I do love survillence so much.

Surge is passive, pop is proactive.

Sometimes kicking a gen is a waste of the time you could put onto pressuring others. Even if pop eats that 25% off, these 15-20 seconds you spent on going there and kicking the gen could be spent better.

Sometimes you need to try weird things, such as kot kicking gens, to see if it is as impactful as you always thought.

  • There are 3 anti totem perks and 1 item....

That's a lot in your book?

If anything we need more perks like that.

  • Okay build that suits Legion. Not much more than that, quite the "basic #########" type of a deal.

    Should work nicely.

Good for them, doesn’t mean I can’t believe that standing still at the hook as Bubba shouldn’t be allowed. There is a massive difference between camping and standing still at the hook.

    It is exactly the same.

You could argue it is a facecamping, even though it isn't possible anymore since introduction of "rotary hooks".

There is also proxy camping (soft camping) and hard camping. But if you don't like subcategories for camping, standing at the hook or nearby of a hooked person is nothing more but just camping.

That's literally the gaming definition of camping...

I hope you realise how condescending you’re coming across. There’s not a dictionary definition of ‘taking the game hostage’, I can believe facecamping Bubba counts for it, you don’t have to.

This has nothing to do w entitlement or feeling that I deserve to escape. There’s a problem in a game where I depip because a LF chases me for five gens, then facecamps me. There’s many simple solutions to fix this, and change it so that at worst the killer can proxy you, and not facecamp. Idc about proxying, but a game that doesn’t punish someone for standing still is just silly.

Devs already stated what it is in one of their ancient twitch streams. So it is You who is skewing its definition.

I also already told you what it is in my first post. You seem just too stubborn to try to understand it.

  • 2nd best then 3rd.

2nd even nice it feels like "Yep, that's the jacket Claudette mains would run" so I lean more towards 3rd.

Preventing survivors from being saved and getting altruism points which are crucial to pipping at red ranks is absolutely taking the game hostage. Not talking about proxy camping, but full on face camping with Bubba shouldn’t be allowed, there’s no reason for it and it creates a toxic community.

You can do well in a chase, and still get downed. Bubba shreds through pallets quickly, even if you greed, he takes no skill to play and if you run him around for five gens, there will barely be any pallets in endgame.

You still don't understand what taking the game hostage is.

That's like calling a killer tunneler and face camper because he is still on the same map as you after you were unhooked.

Sucks to be camped, killer wants to kill you and that's it. Let 3 others escape as you buy the time.

I think you feel extreme entitled to things that sometimes may be out of your grasp and you start blaming others or accusing the falsely.

Why are you doing that? What's the point? Are you trying to imitate Sluzzy?

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

I’ll never understand how facecamping (not proxy camping) with Bubba isn’t taking the game hostage. It really shouldn’t be allowed, because 99% of Bubba players commit to one person for the entire game, then facecamp them after being run around. The game is punishing survivors for doing well in a chase.

You don't understand what "taking the game hostage" is...

It is ANYTHING but what you said. If player whose actions are limited or completely hindered due to actions of another player can finish the game in one way or another without a requirement to forcefully terminate a game by using esc-> leave game or alt +f4, they are not being taken hostage.

Even if sacrifice time would take 30 minutes to complete and you had Bubba camping you for that amount of time, it still wouldn't be the case. As long as at some point game ends by itself (sacrifice, bleed out timer, EGC timer), there is no hostage situation at all.

    Stop it.

If you are doing well in a chase you are not going to get downed.

  • I did it with pig and trickster.

Just used agitation on them and Brough survivors into basement if I was in a range of it. Nothing more.

No need to camp it either, agitation gives you such a massive range you can bring them halfway across the map.

  • @sulaiman said:

If those were multipliers, the same principle would be used for everything else. Can you imagine stacking slowdown perks that way?

Uhm, that's how they worked back in the day, up to negatives...

If you stacked enough gen repair slowdowns in 2016, survivors would start damaging the gens instead of repairing them...

But back then you had to use Billy's chainsaw addons and keep downing peeps with it multiple times.

  • It took a long time. My first prestige character (p3) was a nurse, then worked on a Nea, finally rushed Trapper to p3.

It took many late night hours of grinding while using the last week of doubled BP gain to finish it.

On top of very slow BP gains and only offerings gave bonus points and they were laughable, best was +75% in that category and back it bonus covered it cost just barely, progressing the blood web took ages to deplete 1 million of BP (almost an hour). It was also more extensive and multiple perks per blood web weren't a thing. Most levels 1-10 didn't have any perks in them either and were of the size of current lvl 25-35.

    It was a bad grind.

    Was it worth it?

Hmm, I haven't used a legacy skin since early 2017...

  • I don't think he is that bad, I have a lot more of a success with him than say Clown or Legion (PC).

He is actually quite fun to play as too.

What I've noticed, he actually has the fastest TTK out of all ranged killers as long as all knives hit, yes beats huntress too, but as I said only in a situation where all knives hit and you already have knife throwing speed at winded up.

He is just weak on high wall loop, decimate on open field and low walls, even more than huntress (barely any punishment on missed hits). He is also utter ######### on interior maps (press F when you see Lery's).

Sure, you won't snowball as hard with him as with huntress, but he holds his ground.

He is just an alternative to her.

The buffs I would like on him:

    1) The trick shot being base kit (1 ricochet)

    2) Laceration decay being 1 point per 10 seconds off the chase while not sprinting AND a 3 second activation mending like ability that removes 1 laceration every 0.5 second. So he has a reason to use it as a semi slowdown ability. (1st point removed after 3.5 seconds)

    Seems logical

  • If you want to save against basement Bubba and you know he is on top of the stairs and you are sure one or two of you will go down, do this simple trick that doctors would hate me for telling you.

Both of you jump into a locker.

He can only take one of you out while the other one runs away.

You can also use it to flashlight save or head on.

Don't be a rank 19 Meghead and unhook with BT in a basement thinking you did a 200 iq play against a killer with a speedy AoE damaging ability... Ugh.

  • Around 2k, as I haven't bought any dlc in a long time and bought last few killers and survivors with shards instead.

  • I will just play as business as usual and not care about it that much.

It is easy to get anyway.

  • I already suggested before about prestiging.

    So:

    P0 - Nothing changes.

    P1 - Nothing changes.

P2 - All perks on the bloodweb start as tier 2 instead of tier 1.

P3 - All perks on the bloodweb start as tier 3 instead of tier 1.

Going for prestige would cut the grind in the long time at the cost of the initial bulk of BPs investment.

Killers can still see the survs, their items, their profiles and their ping and can easily dodge lobby’s and it makes even griefing really easy.

if you are so afraid of key being Franklins. Or just Tunnel them. You know, a base mechanic for every killer that can make a match for the surv super fun.

this has nothing to do with ‚survivors spend more money‘ or ‚devs are survivor sided‘.

    Good suggestion, very valuable.

Counter to Franklin's = drop the item manually, it won't be highlited by Franklin's and it won't disappear EVER.

If they find the hatch, they just pick the key and they head there.

There is no counter play to keys especially. If it involves swf on comms (it will be picked up after a sacricie).

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Honestly I dont mind it, trapper was completely different. I will say the effects shouldn't stack (two flashlights make it faster) no matter the flashlights or how many should adjust the time to do it. I can burn wraith often but yet to burn a nurse... I dont understand how you burn a nurse, blinded them mid blink but no burn 😂

If you use a flashlight on her, she cannot begin charging her blink, so she cannot use her power.

To burn a nurse, you must literally start flashing at her when she blinks once and before she begins charging her next blink. That's the window for nurse burn.

If she began charging, you won't burn her and she will be able to use her power even if you use the torch on her. Even if you manage to time it right, she can still move and probably hit you if she blinked nearby.

So yea, burn mechanic is almost as useless as it sounds and you won't find any practical use of it beside BMing someone for a mere 10 seconds, the battery life of a flashlight.

No, because that seems bizarre to me. If I didn't swear before, why would I do it now that it's "not allowed"?

That's funny, because that way of thinking caught my attention.

I've seen similar way of someone arguing when they stated if violence wasn't a crime he would keep hurting other people. And the exact same argument with religion, if it wasn't a sin, they would do nasty stuff.

I guess rules override some people's sense of morality due to a potential punishment.

Personally, nothing has changed in how I act in the chat if at all.

  • It's been worse. As a killer (rank 1) you could reliably go against rank 18-20 survivors back in the day if you knew how to do it (helped some old content creators to get their "montage materials" quite easily).

They are planning on changing the matchmaking soon(ish) once again.

It probably won't do much either, so dont get your hopes up.

Just bear with it. A positive side effect is if you play against more "skilled" opponent you will learn the game quicker... But at what cost.

Just to make it easier on your psyche, perk wise, perk less survivors have much higher chances of surviving against good killers than a perkless killer against good survivors.

  • The lightburn is fine, honestly.

It adds something, more interactions between killer and survivor.

Burning a decent wraith is quite impossible if just completely impossible, it is extremely easy to dodge it by side stepping and making them miss their beam, hiding behind obstacles, circling around the survivor.

Keep in mind, if they try to burn you they do not gain any distance at all, you can dodge until they stop, you are semi hidden, you circled/dodged them long enough so you will uncloak faster than they can burn you.

Burning a nurse is extremely hard too and quite useless if you are the survivor who is being chased, as you will die on the next blink due to lack of distance gained. It requires two survivors to be semi valuable action, but said 2nd survivor literally needs to chase the killer who is blinking and catch them between blinks and not get downed soon after.

It is fine. More interactions are welcome, as long as they are not as devastating like old trap saboing.

If you think it is unfair, broken or unfun mechanic, please, try to elaborate why, as I don't really see the issue with it.

  • All that aside, but it always baffled me how they extremely over value how much blood points are worth it.

"Oh, the car you bought doesn't work? In the time we fix it, here, have this wiper to remind you of how fun it would be to drive a car."

  • Yes, it is good, just remember the farther away they are the more time they have to dodge the wave and many survivors already do catch on on what you are trying to do.

    How?

You get 3 lit totems, 1 is undying and the other 2 are haunted.

No matter what hex totem they cleanse, it will and shall always be undying first and the next hex they cleanse will be haunted.

And since undying is gone, haunted won't spwan anymore.

So how do you manage to get haunted ground 2 times then? 😉🤔

If they do cleanse haunted totems first (yes, even if undying is present, hexes have specific totems still), it triggers haunted first, then triggers the undying effect and respaesn haunted grounds once again to be broken. It has only 33% chance to fail each game.

It would be OP though. Same if it applied to med kits because of the needle/suture add ons. Tokens would be gained far too quickly. 5 Autodidact tokens is very powerful when healing teammates.

But MaIn StReAm StRiMmUrS say it is bad and hurts your team more than it helps them.

It just costs you 2 bad skillcheck to make it the same as vanilla and at 5 stacks it is super good. Still, it is a gamble due to rng nature of skillcheck.

Had a game recently where I've got 4 stacks on a single heal, less than 2 minutes into the game.

Actually, the more slowdowns killer uses to make healing longer the stronger autididact is.

The negative effect on low token count actually allows you to get more tokens in a single heal, so... Yeah.

All I have to say is that dbd challenges are too much of a challenge like I just want bps can I get something easier

    Yes, don't do them.

No one forces you, they are off the main path to complete the tome.

This challenge is nothing compared to the last plague's one, it is a walk in the park, extremely easy to do with right perks. Can be tricky if you are on 100% base game with no dlcs, but... It is not the main path and can be done by using survivor perks instead (ds, for the people).

I don't see any issues with it.

  • First of all, as mamy said, let's state it.

Detective's Hunch is the best anti totem perk, hands down. It blows any other one, including counterfofce, out of the water.

The major thing going for Counterforce is quicker cleansing and even faster the more totems you do. Even if it didn't have any aura reading it would still be a worthwhile perk to run if you know totem spawns.

Same thing with BBQ, most people run it for the points not the aura.

  • Fun Fact:

Sprint Burst wasn't an exhaustion perk back then, neither was Balanced Landing.

So technically, even for the veterans, SB or BL is a valid choice, as exhaustion perk became a thing since 1.5.0 AFAIK.

Thank You and best regards from the Ministry of Useless Facts.

  • @SilentHillOnDvD said:

Love playing trickster and having to hit survivors 8 times to injure them. You put 7 knives in a survivor at shack? Well you either commit or let the laceration decay with no effort on the survivors part. The only loop trickster is good at is low wall loops and that's actually sad

Yes, he is actually extremely oppressive on low wall loops, you are guaranteed to lose a health state on these and if you don't trade that hp state for a chance to travel to a high wall loop, you will get downed.

On top of that, as been said before, him having LOS on you usually means constant laceration increase.

In a case of a DS or Huntress, his downtime is minimal in case of misses and in pair with Huntress' successful hits.

He doesn't have such potential as Huntress but he is indeed much stronger than people believe he is.

But surely, he isn't a material for top sweaty anti swf buster nor will win any tournaments.

  • Come and get them, Europe 5pm - 9pm.

  • But if the killer has psychic powers to read the future, they would see the scoreboard and dodge the lobby.

  • I do find higher percentage of "potato survivors" to be coming from the crossplay.

Doesn't mean that all are awful and bad at the game, it is just more commonly for me to see bad plays from them rather than PC.

But Megheads exist on all platforms.

I had many teammates from cross platform sources that were doing an amazing job.

the issue is that the time invested isn't worth it. you're overestimating the number of knives you can reliably land at that window.

Never said it will be quick. The amount of knives depends on the distance, their dodging and your aim. At worst you will get 2 knives on each length, so 4 per loop.

If you can't land these, we'll, drop the chase and find someone else. If they all run to that building, make sure they run through you first, so you get at least one hit long before they reach it.

Of course it is all theoretical situations and in practice it works differently. Just remember to never prolong chases that aren't worth it as a killer.

  • Well, as Trickster you can just slowly down them, by throwing few odd knives here and there, I don't see that much of an issue with him there.

Other than that, the window is annoying but not many survivors seem to abuse it to THAT extend.

That's the all info about rewards we had.

Yes, they are as bad as you can see... 250k bps x2, a laughable amount that you can get in around 2 or 3 hours of casual killer gameplay with BBQ and offerings.

  • Unless you are the last survivor or all others are slugged/hooked. Why in hell would you try to kobe (get your 4%), especially if the killer is actually CAMPING YOU!?

Looping doesn't exist in that scenario because every killer is too powerful, so mindgames dont either. And I don't know what you mean by "juking", to be perfectly honest it sounds like you're talking about little movements to make the killers job slightly harder that in reality don't do a thing.

By juking he means actually losing the killer in chase rather than prolonging it until:

    1) You get downed.

    2) You escape the trial.

  • @LegionOfDumb said:

Healing speeds stack until they reach 100%

    They stack over that number.

There are just diminishing results due to how the math works in dbd.

Back in 2016 it was as simple as possible, with current perks you could probably heal self in just 2 or 3 seconds.

  • IMHO, he is fine.

People seem to overuse his power for some dumb reason. Increasing his tiers isn't as important either, they are just a bonus, especially t3, which increases his power range by 20%. Sure, it is just 6 meters instead of 5, but can come in handy.

The thing is survivor being infected makes them vulnerable to his m2, which allows him to punish vaults, pallet plays and some wonky small walls. It is on a very quick cast, thus leaving very small dodging window for the survivor. Trying to aim his ability as with PH is silly. Other than that m1 is the way, as STBFL works really nicely on him.

Him.being able to quickly use his power also gives him built in zoning capability just by existing, just like Deathslinger but not as oppressive and cheap.

When compared to the plague, his m2 on a survivor without contamination is like Plague's vile puke, but instead of inflicting broken status it makes them vulnerable to ranged attacks (short, but still). Vaccinating is also limited and not as "helpful" to survivors, as it doesn't fully heal them back (at least it didn't heal me).

This makes him actually more of a threat in chase than plague that is denied her corrupted puke.

Zombies also provide quite a bit of information and in their current state can snowball you with a bit of rng.

I think he is fine, some small tweaks could be made (i.e. anti blue balling him, just like with a plague), his addons are a mixed bag, as always, some more rare ones are utter useless crap outclassed by an empty slot.

    So, duhhhhg.

  • Any player who do chooses to play her instantly loses any respect from me.

I don't feel bad if some Meghead uses Haddonfield on her anymore, I want her experience to be as miserable as it is for the survivor's who has to verse her.

I despise EVERYTHING about spirit, be it her gameplay, her looks and her sounds. Her unbalanced state, spilled a pure form of hatred that soaked all whole image of The Spirit making me hate ANYTHING regarding her.

  • Self Care is perfectly fine.

SC takes 32 sec to heal, buffed by botany (24 sec) and by desperate measures (28/25/22/20 sec), can be paired with resilience and stacked combined into ultimate self healing of sc+dm+bk+resilience, but diminishing returns make it an overkill, either botany or desperate measures is enough.

It is actually more efficient to use SC once you are safe than to look for a teammate to heal while avoiding a killer that may be a stealthy one. Even if someone else heals you, it takes 32 seconds off the “potential survivor manpower" as both survivors could make 16 charges of progress in that time on 2 separate generators.

SC is fine. It is a good perk to keep pressure on the killer in somewhat indirect way.

Running to the corner of the map for 15 seconds, hiding behind a Z wall and self caring is not a good idea nor efficient one.

  • I played them 4 days ago, for the first time ever.

Did my adept on them (got Hawkins by rng). Didn't camp or overly slug, just downed someone and went for another survivor to hang Victor onto. They were potatoes tough.

Will have to try and get that achievement where I need to down them with my little son... I MEANT BROTHER!!! Still hanging to survivors when I down then.
