I disagree. Unless that's at the forefront of your thinking throughout the match, you're gonna slip up and the hex will go down anyway. It's not good just to think about defending your hex either, because then you're not concentrating on the chase or other things going on. You can win games off of camping your hex, but you'll lose far more doing that.
If Ruin stays up for a over a minute and twenty seconds, that's a W.

You did work with the survivor though?
I don't follow. So you're telling me you played against an AFK Nea that hid in lockers the whole game while the other 3 survivors worked their ass off to win, and you gave the AFK Nea the hatch?
I don't think you understand lol

Why are people still using hexes? They're so bad. And people honestly believe they're still meta.
High mobility Killers get a lot of mileage out of them.
Much easier to defend Hexes when you down people fast and can fly over to them at a moments notice.

There is a difference between playing a game and telling someone to off themselves or whatever.
Yeah to say gg and then I move on.
Unless they were doing something toxic like letting me bleed-out, facecamping at 5 gens or something, in which case I ask the hard question.
Why :(
-
If my Survivor queues were less than 10 minutes, I would be less salty.
There's only so many facecamping Bubba's followed by Ruin, Undying, Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch using Blights I can take.

I will be hopping on my Xbox One when the new Chapter drops and I will be updating THE thread.
Just a heads up.

Nah, and I doubt the trend continues. We finally have a hype killer. People are still playing the PTB for what is literally just a basic m1 killer and a fanfic version of Yoichi. She is clearly going to sell quite well and as we head into anniversary, we are going to be trending upwards even more.
The doom and gloom around the game is nonsensical. They have not been making the best decisions, but at the end of the day, we still have plenty of steam left to compensate for that. Lol.
I doubt she sells well.
I haven't seen many people hyped for her or for the Survivor. Mostly I've seen people worried that she's way too weak.

The game is dying, but it's not close to dead.

Chain is easy to hit. It is extremely RNG based on chain spawns + pinhead position + survivor position at any given loop position. Add in that it has(for some extremely strange reason) a range that implies it is a mid range tool when it is most definitely not.
If pinheads chain was consistent in its value he would be significantly stronger but you can hit a survivor at roughly the same position in a loop and get totally different chain spawns and have them all instantly break vs chaining and slowing the entire duration.
console chain is pain

Chain itself is strong enough to kill plenty of palettes, it's just so ######### hard to hit.
It's not.
It has about the same slowdown as Clown's bottle but it takes way more skill to hit, like you said.
That's also assuming the Chains don't instantly break when they spawn and that they don't instantly break on the environment.

Its one stack per teleport yes, but that adds up. Its not like a Survivor is gonna stay on the same gen the entire game. And its not like you can't interrupt a gen being worked on without the teleport.
Its not like you waste too much time doing other things, she has a some what similar play style to Hag where you don't really want to commit to chases, you want to scare Survivors off gens and have a sort of hit n run playstyle. You delay the game as long as possible for them to gain condemned and only pick off those caught in bad situations which isn't hard thanks to her stealth.
Her teleport being 100 seconds absolutely needs to be brought down, I knew it was long but didn't know it was that long until some one else mentioned it earlier
A movement speed bonus would be nice as well
Getting lucky SEVEN times per match is ridiculous. If they keep that, they need a different way to gain Condemned stacks. It needs to be a threat, otherwise nobody will use the Tapes, ergo no game delay.
Hit-and-run is almost dead thanks to Circle of Healing. People heal far too fast to make that a real playstyle anymore. You would be delaying the game, but it would really be delaying the inevitable.
Yeah, 100 seconds is way way too much.
I just think the movement speed would help her in chase, which she desperately needs.
-
I actually agree with your sentiment and think you did a good job explaining it. As such, I'd like to ask some genuine questions from my notes that I took as I was watching your video.
Firstly, how do you explain the discrepancy in power between "healthy perks" and "unhealthy perks"?
Secondly, not a question. I agree that Killer perks should help more when the Killer is losing. I do not agree that they should do nothing when they are winning. You are playing well, ergo, you should be rewarded for it.
I'll make an example. Not saying this is balanced, just an example. Pop Goes the Weasel now does 50% gen damage upon your first hook, but if you have 6 hooks, it now only does 15% damage. It still helps you, but it's not overwhelmingly helping you.

Because every little aspect of her kit compliments it self and theres just so much about her that many people don't realize. She's kind of a jack of all trades since she kind of has a little bit of everything. Another thing I quite like is you can use the same mindgame as you did with Old Freddy where you could trick Survivors thanks to his flickering, she has this as well which lasts for a few seconds (idk the exact number) after Manifesting and it gives you feedback on when it happens, allowing you to play around it.
I don't think she's the best killer, but she's FAR from being any where near the worst
Here are my issues.
Her Condemned is very non-threatening. One stack PER teleport where the Survivor has to be within 16m of a TV is brutal when it has to be 7. If it were 2 per successful teleport and the Video Tape removed 3 stacks instead of 4. It's clearly meant as game-delay, but it just utterly fails to do so.
Her Teleport is also on way too long of a cooldown. It takes 100 seconds for a TV to turn back on after she teleports. Make it 30-45.
She needs a movement speed bonus while she's in her Ghost Mode. Nothing big, maybe 120-125%. That'll give her a better lunge so she has a BIT of anti-loop.
If she gets those changes, she's better to me.

Legion is a weird one for me,Legion has the potential to snowball like crazy, but also get dumpstered if survivors split up and dont adapt to that quick.
I've been playing a lot of Legion lately and for me personally he's mid tier.
He's fundamentally the worst.
He encourages Survivors to split up and only the worst of the worst don't. Not only that, he eats a longer stun than NURSE for a non-lethal power. He can't down anyone with his power either, so he has to play as a pure M1 Killer with no stealth or instant down potential.
Also, CoH exists.

oh the lord Otz has said the killer is C-tier? Must be true then
He focuses on condemned as if that's her sole goal to reach, it isn't. He also talks about how everything she does she's not great, the thing is every part of her compliments it self, theres risk in countering her map mobility and she can know where Survivors are for doing so, and her stealth makes it easy to catch Survivors off guard. If a Survivor plays really greedy then she punishes that HEAVILY. And there are some cases where some times being greedy is the correct play. Especially against her.
I have nothing against Otz, but this isn't your argument as to why she's bad, its his
I disagree with Otz.
I think she's D-tier.
Better than Legion and Console Trickster.

I also called Pinhead as being weak on PTB. I was also right.
I did also call Deathslinger weak during PTB. Fat miss on that one.

When you constantly buff killers and nerf survivors,
keep making new killers that are anti loop,
making perks that block all generators,
create maps that are just straight hallways,
keep incentivizing tunneling and camping,
rarely change any survivor perks in a stale meta,
Somehow make holding W meta,
don't fix window and pallet vaults,
making basic functions not work (spamming space bar 5 times and nothing happening),
slowing down generator speeds,
you lose players.
The last global Killer buff was the Hatch nerf.
Corrupt is an old perk and isn't a problem.
RPD is a very Survivor-sided map. However, it's miserable for everyone.
Agreed. If they nerfed Survivors so that we tunneling/camping wasn't necessary (not that everyone does it because it's necessary) then I would be much happier.
Sort of agree. They need to nerf the meta on both sides.
Agreed.
This is usually a ping issue. Not always, but usually.
I have never seen this. Check your PC/keyboard.
Gen speeds have never been changed.
The game is losing players for a multitude of reasons. It would seem that it's skewed towards more Killers leaving, but I dislike focusing on one aspect alone. MMR is massively unpopular, the game is stale and very unfun for both sides and there have been some very...questionable and very public mistakes recently. Anniversary needs to be very very good else we might actually be in trouble.
-
I tried to quit once but couldn't do it because I still thought the game could reach it's potential.
I just play with my friends now. We got meme'd by a really good Nemesis, so they wanted to run a KYF with a 4th, so I ran about 15 Nemesis games so that they could practice.
-
It shouldn't be a thing. It's a shame too because it's ruining some actually well-designed Pig add-ons for the majority of players because some dumbasses want to exploit them.
Can't believe I agree with Sluzzy.

It's just that when you lose in DBD, there's few redeeming qualities and oftentimes, there was nothing you could've done.

I miss the emblem days. At least you didn't play against 9 Blights in 10 matches, watching how easily he 12 hooks the entire team while the number 3 is just staring at you besides the gen icon.

I disagree with you on Torment Creek, the only thing it has going for killers is the gens in the corn dead zones, but if those are done, the entire map is pretty safe to navigate, the main building is also really nasty with that one window that I don't think is ever blocked.
The window is god if the Killer never breaks the door.

How isn't it bad?
It's horribly balanced
-
Downing people is the best slowdown when used in conjunction with other slowdown perks.
If you were to not use any slowdown perks, but down people extremely fast, you'd likely have a similar game to if you ran 4 slowdown's but didn't spread pressure out and had long chases.
You need to do both.
-
There's no good way to fix facecamping.
Every solution either involves re-designing basic game mechanics or unfairly punishes Killers.

Just like any killer, you don't want to overcommit to strong loops, but I wouldn't say she's uniquely bad at them. The fact she can transition to phase and out without loss of speed makes her mindgame already better at weak tiles, and you can take extra time to get a down if you need to, knowing you can just to to a gen in progress
She has no chase power.
She's worse than everyone except Legion at getting downs it seems.

I'm using her base perks and sloppy butcher (a great COH detergent on a killer who can just instantly be behind you). She definitely isn't that handicapped. I get the general killer frustration, I've had it in periods too, but I'm telling you this killer will be fine over time as people actually play with her kit. After all, this is a killer we've really been wanting for a while of you look at it from a certain perspective, a killer who isn't simply anti-loop but can contest a 4v1 as well as cut hold W short.
It just means making clever decisions with her power and yes, making a proper build will be key in higher ranks, but that's always the case, even with the top killers.
It seems like if you even attempt to play loops you lose.
-
Agree, stop the MMR.

No, I think she moves normal speed. But I think her Manifest and Project might be faster than Wraith's uncloak, and I think she doesn't have nearly as much cooldown on her Project as Freddy does on his teleport. (The wiki doesn't have the exact numbers yet though so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.)
Would it break her if she did?
-
@dugman said:
- She’s kind of like a cross between Wraith and Freddy with a touch of Pig’s boxes mixed in.
- She’s normally Undetectable and sporadically invisible, but can Manifest to become visible kind of like Wraith uncloaking. She can also Unmanifest to phase back out like Wraith. (I don’t know how the cloak and uncloak times compare to Wraith)
- Additionally she can Project through any turned on television on the map which instantly Manifests her and gives her a speed boost
- Survivors who are within 16 meters when she Projects from a TV gain the Condemned status which gives them a timer that has up to 7 stacks on it. Every time they’re in range of a Projection it adds a stack. If the stacks build to 7, then she sees the survivor’s killer instinct for a bit and if she downs them she can instantly kill them.
- Survivors can turn off the TV sets to slow her down, but doing so increases their Condemned stacks by 1 and gives them a tape. While they have the tape they can keep going around turning off TVs temporarily but gaining stacks
- There is one TV that they see in a special highlight that if they have the tape they can use it on that TV and it removes 4 stacks from their timer.
- Finally they passively gain 1 stack every 30 seconds when not in chase. (Some people are saying this happens if you have a tape, or it could be when you have the Condemned status, I’m not exactly sure.)
So basically she’s a stealth killer who wants to teleport around and move around Undetectably to get hits in before survivors can get to loops for safety. And she wants to keep teleporting and harassing to build up those Condemned stacks to force survivors to take time away from gens to not be killable.
I have no idea how good or bad she is in terms of effectiveness, but her animations are pretty sweet! 🙂 She’s one of the best animated killers probably in terms of how she interacts with survivors and props.
Does she get a speed boost while "cloaked"?
-
Allow me to preface this by saying two things. One, I'm on mobile, so forgive any formatting errors. Two, I haven't seen any gameplay and it's hard to make a good judgement without it.
I don't feel that any of the Killer perks are outstanding. I think the Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage is the best out of the three. The others are too situational/don't give enough of a bonus to be worth it.
Sadako's power seems interesting. I've heard that Condemned doesn't really do anything though. I've also heard that all of her animations are super good, like Pinhead.
I enjoy the fact that Yoichi literally just has Empathy 2, a straight upgrade to Empathy, but still bad. His Boon perk sounds good, not as good as CoH, but good. 2% seems low, but I imagine if it were any higher than we would have another CoH situation. Parental Guidance is just bad, imo.
So far, my favorite thing out of this update is Stretched Res apparently being fixed.
