The thing though is, it would have to be a recolour, because even with the effort it takes to get there, it would be too much of a hassle for BHVR to make unique non-recolor outfits. Considering such little people have P100 and licensing would also make it difficult to add skins.
Re-color the Bloody Cosmetics into Iridescent Cosmetics.
It takes like 150,000,000 BP to get to P100, they could at least make us a cool looking skin
-
Considering how much work has gone into getting to P100, I do think a skin is a fair reward.
-
Well, Dark Theory is crazy OP.
So let's not do that one.

I am glad you are excited
I myself, am not excited for a worse Knight who feels like a cashgrab sex appeal skin machine.

Survivors: "Why do we only play against Nurse and Blight? I GUESS WE'LL NEVER KNOW."
Oh no, we all know why we see a lot of Blight and Wesker.
Good add-ons, fun power and strong.
I'm not saying that these Killers shouldn't be buffed, far from it. However, expecting to win against a team who is playing optimal while you yourself are not willing to play optimally is pretty silly.

See, that's just crazy to me. I think a lot of people here are just effected by recency bias.
You can pretty much pull any competitive multiplayer game out of your library, and you are guaranteed to NEVER get interactions like "ggs <3," "yeah that map with that killer is really hard, good luck next game", "you're so funny/cute, I'm glad we got to play together."
Hop on Ark, Rust, League of Legends, SMITE, DOTA, R6: Siege, Halo, Overwatch, hell even TF2 or L4D2 and you will be bombarded by screaming maniacs and toxic tryhards that are losing their mind over every little thing that goes wrong.
DbD is really chill compared to, like, every other competitive game out there. Are there bad experiences in DbD? Yeah, for sure. But it's so rare that I get maybe one toxic gamer every like, what, 20 games? 50 games?
The toxicity problem is blown completely out of proportion, because we're all forgetting just how horrible it is outside of sunshine land.
I've put 3K hours into TF2 and probably a similar amount into CoD. 2K into Overwatch and Siege.
I've never been called the amount of slurs I have in DBD.
I've never had a streamer witch hunt me in any other game.
I've never had people DDoS me repeatedly outside of DBD.
I've never had people put me on a list and make a group specifically made to boot me off outside of DBD.
I've never met people who are so genuinely toxic ALL THE TIME outside of DBD.
It's not all bad. For all the bad, there are some real gems in the community and I'm lucky to have met them.

idk what you guys are doing to get people mad at you, then. This game's community is sunshine and rainbow land compared to pretty much every other major multiplayer game.
This game is worse than any other game I've played, sans old CoD

As long as you have game sense, flashlights are a Killer item. Sort of like how Self-Care is a Killer perk.

I didn't misread anything. I restated what you said then asked you to stop using straw mans and then you conceded. Why you replied AGAIN is questionable. It could be because spend a VERY unhealthy amount of time on this forum daily and wanted to see your post number go up by one, which good for you I guess but there was no other reason for another reply except to be confrontational. Also, I don't think you know what bad faith means. Don't use words you don't know the meaning of.
POV: Continue to double-down.
Several people have pointed out where you misread. At this point, you're just insulting me since you have no actual argument, lol. Like I said, it's been fun but I'm not really interested in meaningless debate

Did you have proof of your claims? No? Then you are the one that think to be the keep per of the truth... As I said DEVS STATED THAT MMR EXISTS, so if you keep saying this, the options available are 2:
1 you are extremely biased towards one side
2 you are actually thinking that devs keep telling to us lies
"The devs have told us mmr is real"
"mmr is real, high mmr, as you mean it, is not."
How did I say anything untrue?
We do know about the soft cap. I think players start off at 1100. I THINK the soft cap is 1600, iirc. We also know that people can get matched BELOW their MMR.
For example, if the softcap is 1600, anybody over it can be matched with people in a certain radius under it. Meaning that not only is it easy to get to the soft-cap, you can also match with players who aren't at the cap yet.
This means that it is extremely inconsistent to get "high mmr" games. It functionally does not exist due to the matchmaker being set up to prioritize queue times over accuracy.

Alright so you concede that choosing a killer by itself is not enough to warrant deserving to lose. That's all. I do disagree with your new position but I don't have the time nor energy nor sheer will power it would take to go on because I'd probably have a stroke.
You literally misread what I wrote and then doubled-down.

What is it with the straw mans? I didn't mention perks at any point? I said nothing about running or not running perks...? Point out where I mentioned anything about perks. But anyways since you wanted to deflect what I said, I'm gonna say this again and will ad nauseam as needed. Choosing to play a killer doesn't mean you deserve to lose. It's an absurd and ludicrous position to have. But by all means, continue to show everyone how wrong I am, lol. But do it without using a straw man please, if your gonna use one, please no more replies
If you refuse to play optimally (by bringing meta perks, tunneling, camping, 3-genning etc) after knowingly handicapping yourself by picking a weak Killer (assuming you play against a squad of equal skill to your own who ARE playing optimally), you should expect to lose.
Holding any other position is frankly, ridiculous

"Without perks" who said anything about perks? You said simply if you chose to play a certain killer, you deserve to lose. That was your position. Unless your conceding now, that's an absurd and beyond terrible position. Nothing more, nothing less. Leave it at that.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong but using perks is generally considered part of optimal gameplay, right?
But by all means, continue to show everyone how wrong I am, lol.

Because by 'not addressing perks and strategies' you're putting yourself in a ridiculous position.
You're saying that the weakest killer, with no perks, should be able to brainlessly follow a survivor with no mind games and obtain kills at the same rate as everyone else (61% average). They don't even have to use their power, since that's a 'strategy'.
You see how luducrous that sounds, right?
If they did, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation.
I didn't think my original position was too crazy. If you play a weak Killer without perks into a strong team, you can expect to lose.

Untrue! you told us in your comment:
Guess I just shouldn't have tried to take the BT hit.
That IS an unsafe play. Sorry if you don't like that actions get you killed, but that's the way DbD is.
Indeed, I turn off my brain when I play Killer and I still win 95% of my games.
It's why I've started dabbling in comp
-
Just because you can't seem to win as Killer doesn't mean the rest of us are having trouble.
-
Why would I?
Very lackluster power. Very boring power. Probably my least favorite visual design in the whole game. Bad perks too

This response didn't properly address what I said. Choosing a killer isn't "handicapping" yourself. it's playing the game as the developers intended....saying otherwise is, like I said, completely absurd. You are free to play a killer without "deserving" to lose.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356431#Comment_3356431
This response sums it up perfectly
And you have repeatedly ignored me stating PERKS and STRATEGIES contribute heavily.
If you are going to play a weaker Killer, something you WILL have foreknowledge about, you will NEED to compensate for that if you are playing to win.
If you do not, you are not playing to win and therefore, you should lose against an equally skilled squad who IS playing to win.
Saying otherwise is completely ludicrous.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356061#Comment_3356061
Its not my problem that your teammates are making mistakes, I should not get punished for mistakes the other side does.
Guess I just shouldn't have tried to take the BT hit.
You made your choice. You got a free shield to escape and you use it to antagonize the Killer, and then you come complaining too? You should run away. Its not my problem if you want to do unsafe plays.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356069#Comment_3356069
This doesn't really always boil down to survivor mistakes though. It's not like survivors always have a choice about unhooking next to the killer.
Wrong, its always a choice and it IS a Survivor Mistake. Ask your Team-mates to stop making bad mistakes. If the Killer is Face-camping. do gens. The reason Camping is effective is because nobody does Gens. Plus you can even bring Reassurance if you feel you need more time. There is no way this is a Killer problem.
It is a very good thing you are not in charge of balance.
I also enjoy the insinuation that I'm a Survivor main. Very amusing.

So choosing to play one of the killers in the game means you deserve to lose now huh? I have no idea what mental gymnastics you have to do to come to that conclusion but wow is that absurd
If you bring just No Mither and Object of Obsession into Solo Q and play against a Midwich offering Nurse, you deserve to lose. You are handicapping yourself and you know it. You never expected to win that game, because you weren't playing seriously.
It's the same scenario here. You are knowingly stopping yourself from using strategies or perks that would help you compete. You obviously aren't playing to win. Why the hell should you be able to beat an optimal team who IS trying to win?

Perks and strategies only help so much. Every player is still limited by the killer they play. Some killers are so awful that even if a skilled player did use optimal perks and strats they would still be at a major disadvantage.
What is the point you are trying to make? There are bad killers? You guys are in agreement with each other.
Some Killers are that bad that yes, against some teams, there's truly nothing you can do.
However, that is a RARITY. You do not find matches like that very often. If you are a good Killer player, you can win the vast majority of your matches based simply off of perks and strategies. 99% of teams will not be able to effectively counter that.

@Emeal said:
No Thanks. I don't need no scuffed system preventing me from taking advantage of Survivor Mistakes.
I surely hope bHVR is wise enough to EVER indulge such ideas as they would only allow Survivors to do more things without the Killer having any impact on the game. Killers are a playable side, they are not cattle. We need to be able to make a choice and respond to what the Survivors do. Not have automatic systems in place that prevent us from responding.
How about Survivors don't unhook their team-mates next to the Killer.
How about Survivors actually try to escape from the Killer instead of trying to take a consequence free hit after being unhooked.
Survivors have so many options for tunnel retaliation when they are unhooked, but few want to use a Perk slot for it.
Its their choice, Their consequences. They just don't want to deal with it.
Yeah, pretty much everything you said is wrong except for that the system would be scuffed.
-
So....you are saying that in order to beat people playing optimally, you yourself must also play optimally?
Seems kinda like a no-brainer.
High MMR, by all accounts, isn't a real thing. The matchmaker just isn't set up to deliver consistent matches like that.

With casual people you can win even addonless i don't have troubles to admit this, but when aganist people that know how to play it's the inverse situation: most of the times even the strongest builds aren't enough to keep up the pace, you are forced only to use 2 killers, and since we were talking about HIGH mmr...
There is no such thing as high MMR.
It's not real, you'd probably do better in your matches if you didn't attribute your losses to "high mmr is unfair"

i can assure you that even if that was the case things won't change much (maybe instead of a single hook you'll get 3 or 4)... plus it's not normal being FORCED to play only 2 killers in order to have a chance aganist those groups... ffs we have a lot of killers, dbd is fun for the variety, if devs erase even this aspect of the game then they shouldn't ask themself why people won't ever consider playing killer
You can play pretty much any Killer and do fine with them.
Provided you actually try

it isn't that bad you say uh... try to play as a trapper aganist a well coordinated premade... it's impossible to get something done with your power unless you (how courious that everything will be reduced to the same 2 kind of gameplay in order to get something done) camp a hooked survivor and trap everything near the hook or tunnel to death someone (in this istance camping is a lot better since the trapper basekit is more suited for that kind of gameplay).
"It's bad playing a historically weak Killer who doesn't do well against SWF's into a 4-man SWF"
Uh....yeah, if you play a weak Killer into their worst-case scenario and refuse to use optimal tactics, you should lose. You are choosing to play Trapper. You are choosing not to tunnel. You are choosing not to camp.
This isn't a "Playing Killer at high MMR is terrible" this is, "I don't want to play optimally to win against other people who are also playing optimally."

@Tostapane said:
because this will convince killers at a certain mmr to leave once and for all the game, that's why... I'm talking for experience: playing killer at high mmr is MISERABLE, especially if you don't have the right killers (and most of the times i play with the weakest killers with mediocre addons so you can imagine what i must endure on a daily basis) and you are aganist sweaty SWF squads. If you are lucky aganist those squads you'll do only 3 hooks before all the gens wiil be completed. Sometimes you can get more hooks in the endgame, so if you look at the stats of hooks par game well, those aren't truthful regarding how it went a match... i can tell you a personal anedocte: once i was aganist a premade quite souspitious since they did all gens in so few time that i barely did a 2nd hook, but that match ended in a 4k due to the noed that i had and their excessive confidence/arrogance (for the stats i overperformed so killers need to be nerfed i guess /s)... all this teach us that stats aren't a thing that should be considered to be taken into balancing the game (or at least not a primary thing to consider) because you can play well your cards and win by camping a survivor that was catched before the last gen pop and keep downing the survivors, but again, these downs/hooks aren't made because of you, but because of their altruism (those groups usually want at all costs a 4 escape and this is their only weak point)
It really isn't that bad.
Also, high MMR isn't really a thing.

I feel your sentiment, and we'd have to add those Epic gamers to our list as well, if any of those accounts are legit. As far as I know just Steam users have access to PTBs. Everything they do apparently flows through Steam.
I also find it fustrating all of the Fog Whisperers are on PC, us consolers cannot even apply. It makes little sense to me the largest portion of the playerbase by far has so limited representation.
Indeed.

Well she's clearly not a traditional stealth killer, since her stealth is both limited to a zone that survivors can see and doesn't kick in immediately when she is in that zone, she's barely a area control killer since her drones are hilariously ineffective at being threatening, maybe she's meant to be a surveillance killer using claw traps and her radar? But even then her surveillance doesn't help her all that much since she can't keep tabs on survivors all the time, and even when she can it doesn't show her where they are if you have multiple drones or what they're doing
Honestly? I think her power isn't finished, that's the only explanation I will accept for why her power is the way it is
I do think she was pretty clearly rushed.

I would rather they stop supporting the game on last gen consoles, rather than keep taking our money for a game that is neglected and in such a poor state of performance and optimisation.
It’s unacceptable really, and as said many times, it’s not the hardware at fault when many more demanding and impressive games run great on the same hardware; it’s just the neglect of any attempt at improving things for last gen console players as we are not valued as customers despite them still happily taking our money and time.
They actually make things worse by neglecting optimisation to add new lighting and graphics to please PC players who can constantly upgrade hardware to keep up with the performance hits.
Hell they haven’t even added basic controller options like dead zone or acceleration which most games have as default, in the entire games history of many years. It’s sad really and very depressing.
Agreed.
They did the bare minimum to keep the game running (sometimes, it still didn't) so as a Console player, you should be especially incensed at the new chapter, imo. Blatant cash-grab that's all about looks.
Just imagining what Red Forest will run like is rough.

Recently, it's been getting more and more difficult to enjoy this game and to look over the glaring issues. The Console port of DBD has shown that the game is extremely poorly optimized, and performance will continue to get worse unless BHVR addresses the issues now.
I fear that soon, the game will become unplayable for us on current-gen Consoles. Resident Evil broke the game for a month, and it still hasn't fully recovered. What this shows is that the issue is built into the game itself, and will likely continue to worsen if it is not resolved. Likewise, we are seeing the return of bugs long thought patched, which makes me suspect that the entire code is starting to crumble under the weight of the game. I hope BHVR takes the time to do this correctly and fixes their game. If they do not, I fear we will soon lose the ability to play it at all.
Here are some videos demonstrating my points, please note that these were all taken PRIOR to the RE patch in June of 2021. These issues have been plaguing Console players since the game was ported in 2017. I doubt there will ever be an official confirmation from BHVR, but it is important that we do not let these issues go silently. The only thing we can do is continue to talk and spread awareness about them.
