  • I've noticed that things are opposite what many thought it would be. Console survivors seem to be total potato (I've had nearly 30 matches vs 3+ console survivors in a match and all were 4ks.) The console survivors seem to rely too much on 360s and selfcare. I'm playing at red ranks and these survivors are red rank as well - I honestly thought they were greens or worse during the matches, so I started going easy.)

Console killers seem to have one leg up on PC survivors that I've seen. Poor framerates make timing loops, pallet drops, and vaults very difficult. I played about a dozen survivor matches with 8 vs console killers. The first few were ugly. I got hit through walls and solid objects. The killer seemed to be phasing around the map. You think you have time for one more loop, then he pops in nearly in front of you and smacks you. Or he swings on the other side of a wall and hits you. I figured out why the console players 360 so much though. I started employing it and the console killers struggled a lot against it. I made a Doc miss 8 times in a row. It is pure stupidity.

I don't think we can really measure the skills of each set due to optimization issues. It is completely game changing for both. I turned off cross-play. We'll see how bad wait times are now. If they are close to the old 10 minute wait times, even 15 minutes, I'm good. If not, I'll quit playing for a while until they figure this stupidity out.

Pretty good job so far BHVR.

  • What I've noticed:

    As Killer: 30 matches

    • 26 4k matches (I count carrying the last survivor to the hatch as a 4k for this purpose) with at least 2 gens left in all. These matches had at least 3 console survivors in each. They were total potatoes. The worst rank was rank 8 with most being red rank. I'm rank 2 now. These guys do not do gens. They Urban Evade and Selfcare constantly. Dumb move vs Trapper and Pig.
    • 2 matches with 4 PC survivors - both were very good SWFs. Though they were fun matches, I admit to losing both as all 4 escaped each time. To my credit, they were all on death hook and I let the last one go in one of them. Gens were flying off shelves like toilet paper in a pandemic!
    • 2 Matches with primarily console survivors where 2 escaped.

Overall findings - Console players rely too much on 360s, which don't work well vs PC killers due to optimization. They tend to run more Selfcare, DS and Urban Evasion. Selfcare makes you the killer's best friend (you are off selfcaring while I down another survivor. By the time you are healed, I hit you again. You are not on a gen - thank you for that). DS is great if you are facing a tunneling killer, but I prefer to seek and destroy the next in line. I got DS'ed only one time in all of those games. Overall, I grew bored as heck facing so many potatoes. I thank them for the BP, but I prefer to be challenged. The only fun matches I had were vs those two SWF.....Gawd help me! I actually was happy to see an SWF!!!! Oh, then there is a disappearing bug. I have had several console survivors literally vanish in front of me. Just POOF! Gone.

    As survivor:

12 matches (I don't like playing solo que as it is - this was even worse!!!!)

    • The Selfcare/Urban Evade survivor teammates from console were about as useful as a football bat.
    • 8 Matches vs Console killers - pure nightmare. They are yo-yos on my screen. They seem to glitch back and forth. Timing pallet drops or vaults is very hard due to their frames being so low. I got hit through more walls and solid objects than ever before. I had a huntress hit me from 30 meters while I was hiding behind a T-Wall. Literally through the wall. We were not in chase, just BAM! WTH?! I think a lot of the console killers are thinking that PC survivors can't loop well, but in reality, it is a huge problem timing your loops when the killer is phasing throughout the map. One second he is roughly 16 meters away, then you get smacked!

Overall findings - Some of the console survivors broke the mold and played well. I saw why they 360 so much. The console killers really struggled vs the 360. I started using it when I'd see a phasing yo-yo killer chasing me and it worked really well. I was able to make that poor Doc miss 8 times in a row! That's a new record! I never got more than 2 in a row before - I'm not very good with 360s. The console killers were very difficult due to timing issues. Before figuring out to just 360, I struggled on loops because I could not tell if he was in swinging distance or not.

In short, I turned off cross play. It is a disaster.

  • No, no, hell no. The only saving grace about this cross play disaster is you don't have to hear the whining and bs from the other players. The harassment that goes on in the console community is legendary and has no place here in the PC realm. Granted, I'd just turn off the chat screen, but that could cause problems on the survivor side. I've ignored pre-game chat before because it was immature and sexist only to have those same survivors teabag around the hook I'm on. Why? Because I ignored their pre-game chat.

This is an absolutely horrible idea and should never be implemented.

  • First and foremost, you are not garbage and nobody should make you feel like you are. How long have you been playing killer? How many perks do you currently have access to? These are important factors. When I started playing killer, I got destroyed constantly. I started running NOED just to get some kills. A killer main who played survivor in one of my matches had a very constructive conversation with me after a match one day and I decided to change some things. One, I dropped the crutch (darn you NOED for hobbling me!), two, I stopped worrying about winning and losing. I started focusing on what exactly survivors were doing and what mistakes I was making. I'd film my matches and run them alongside well-known streamer's matches (Otzdarva mostly) in order to best identify what mistakes I was making. I did this casually over a few weeks. I started noticing a difference. I was getting a lot better. I got whipped quite a few times, but I improved.

That said, you are at a handicap in a way going against higher fps players. I'm sorry, but this cross-play is an absolute disaster. For PC killers, we are facing absolute potato survivors from consoles who think Urban Evasion and Selfcare are winning routes. I have never gotten bored getting constant 4ks until this weekend. I turned off cross-play, but have not tested the wait times. I don't know what to tell you as far as the optimization difference goes. BHVR should never have done this until they optimized console play. It was foolish and many on these forums tried to say so. BHVR is infamous at ignoring advice, even when it is sound, so we should not be surprised.

Keep your head up and don't concern yourself with the opinions of those who would act so brave behind a keyboard. Most of them have horrible lives and are just too afraid to make changes, so they lash out where they know they can't be touched.

  • I had an Adam do the same! I could hear him breathing and moaning, but he vanished from sight. He was right in front of me and vanished. Never seen anything like it.

He was on console, I am PC.

  • @sulaiman said:

10 points for using a stereotype as argument, but i have to substract points for this post because you didn´t bring a single real argument, just a claim, while mathematicaly its the same anyway.

Obsession with healing is what the killer wants. Take it from a killer main. The survivors that give me fits are the ones who hit gens while wounded and heal when the opportunity arises, not seeking it out. I love when you run self care because you are going to be spending all that extra time in a safe spot healing while I'm downing another and hooking. Zero gen progress from you. By the time you are healed, my attention is back on you again. That means you jave done zero towards the objective for nearly 2 minutes and find your self needing to heal again.

The rough games have survivors wounded, hitting a gen, then when they come across a survivor, they heal. That means I got minimal respite from gen progression from them.

If you are running self care, you are my best friend. I just keep hitting you and moving to the next. I'll save you for later, you are no threat to my gens.

  • I'm 30 killer matches in with all but 2 being at least 3 console survivors. Out of those matches, I had 26 4k matches and 2 3k. The console survivors were total potatoes.

Console killers are very glitchy and hit through walls. Only had 10 survivor matches with 6 console killers. All 6 had the killer hitting through walls and from far away. FPS is a real issue there.

I disabled crossplay and won't look back.

  • Thank you. I'd rather a 30 minute wait than this glitchy crap.

  • I'm pretty much done with this game until they either optimize consoles so the killers are not yo-yo's all over the map, or they discontinue this disaster. I'm tired of matches with console potatoes in my lobby. I feel like I'm destroying green rank solo groups on PC, that is the closest feeling to those matches.

I would rather wait 10 minutes for my match than have boring matches non-stop.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Because PS4 survivors were experiencing high wait times before the implementation. PC killers as well.

Cross play was the obvious solution to this.

I will gladly go back to long wait times as killer to get these console survivors out of my lobbies. They are potatoes for the most part. They play like little ballerinas with their try-hard 360s that don't work. I have felt like I'm playing green ranks all day now. No choice to opt out on PC that I see of.

  • Well, I don't believe in absolutes, but thus far, console survivors have been absolute potato groups at red ranks for me. They don't know how to mind game for anything so far.

On the survivor side, I've noted that console killers are easy to decipher as soon as chase starts. They yo-yo back and forth, making it very hard to tell their range and time jukes, DH, or windows/vaults. I've been hit through so many walls it is not funny.

The console is not optimized. I think it is actually helping console killers and hurting console survivors. Weird, I thought it would be different. All I know is; I'm pretty much bored with killing console survivors and tired of getting hit through walls by console killers. At this point, I'm likely to take a break. This game went to pure ######### after this crossplay crap.

  • So, if you don't record your matches and you face a hacker, the Devs do nothing. lol So, if you were hacking and they don't have video, you are good to go.

This dev teams just continues to impress me.

  • I found 3 survivors like this. I had to down them, then pick each up and drop them. (Not taking such a BS freebie hook on that, I have more respect for myself.) I found one stuck there again later. I played survivor and got stuck there going for a totem. Of course, I got downed and hooked - lol Nice guys finish last eh?

  • Stream sniping is not bannable. If they want to stream and advertise, you can watch it. I prefer not too, as it is distracting, but some do.

  • My experience is very much the opposite. They need to optimize console before they do this crap.

    As Killer

Console survivors have been potato. They think a 360 can work, they don't mind game well and they don't focus on gens. I have had to take my foot off the pedal on almost all my matches because I don't really care to destroy these groups...and they are red ranks?! Seriously.....

    As survivor

The game is nearly not playable as a solo survivor. Most of the console killers are completely buggy in that they seem to yo-yo around and make it nearly impossible to time loops because they hit you through walls worse than ever before. I got hit by a hatchet from 30 meters out through a wall. I was not being chased, he just threw it and it hit me. I was like #########?! Don't even get me going on playing console Docs. They are pure nightmare. Every time they shock they seem to leap forward 3-5 meters. It's due to their frame rates. They are not optimized and PC is, so they are lagging all over the map and hitting through walls.

Add that to the stupid hill bug right now, where people get stuck at the bottom of a hill and you have a a major headache of a game.

There is no way I'll touch survivor unless I am in SWF now. As for killer....I'm finding it boring. They need to turn this crap off.

  • I had 11 matches vs console survivors last night. They were all squash matches. The lowest rank was a rank 7, the rest were all red rank. I'm rank 2. Tell me again how console players are so good? Do I think all console players are like the 40 or so I saw last night? No. I hope there are much better ones. But these guys spent too much time running around doing nothing, trying to rely on 360s and having no clue how to mind game. Not like I was running strong killers either. I had Trapper and Pig for most of the night.

  • Huntress, not even close. I like Deathslinger and he is unique, but he would not stand a chance vs Huntress. She would snipe him from across the map - lol

  • If I'm being honest, I was blown away at how bad most of the console survivors were. No, I'm not trying to be provocative or mean. I kept thinking I was being matched against rank 15s. I started taking the foot off the pedal. I stood mid-field on 4 matches and let them get a few gens done before finishing them. Out of 11 matches, there were 7 where I had everyone on death hook by the time 1 gen was done. Don't get me wrong, it was nice not hearing gens popping off like the 4th of July, but I felt dirty destroying these teams. Then I get to post game and see they are all red rank console survivors?! WTH?! You meet the occasional boosted survivor....20% of the time on PC, but there were less than 5 times I got in a chase where I felt I needed to focus and mind game some.

Keep in mind, I was running Trapper, Pig, Hag. Not like I had Nurse/Spirit/Billy out....Though I only gave one hatch, I did play very laid back and let them get some gens done. It just seems console survivors are used to being able to 360 and loop killers and therefore don't focus as hard on gens. They constantly tried to 360, every-single-match. It was shooting fish in a barrel. They did not mind game as much, instead trying to rely on a 360 or a timed Dead Hard...which most PC killers know to wait for.

Is it the frame rate issue for console killers that creates a false sense of security for console survivors? I feel bad for PC solo survivors right now. It has to be frustrating. I saw someone say that PC survivors will bang away a gen and let you stage 2.....yeah, it's sometimes the right thing to do. Especially facing a forever Freddy who is tunneling or a Stridor Spirit. You get the gen done, put pressure on the killer, then go for rescue. It is all situational.

  • I've seen a ton of clear framerate issues on the survivor side of things. I've faced nothing but console survivors last night. They are all glitchy little creatures bouncing around the screen. I have top-tier net speed and have no problems when facing pc players. I have no problems in any other game. It is only console survivors.

They try to 360 so much! What is wrong with these guys? Easy hits constantly. That and the moonwalking...wth is going on? They moonwalk up to a pallet and get smacked. Then they glitch away only to be smacked again.

No wonder console killers struggle. If they have this same framerate issue, they would struggle to hit survivors who are 360'ing as much as these ducks do.

  • I don't know that "friendly killer" is the right term. I'm more of a "sportsmanship" type player though. I don't enter into matches feeling like I have to destroy the other side in order to prove anything. I just enter in the hopes of having some fun, making lots of BP and maybe having one of those weird, funny DbD moments occur. I don't try-hard because I don't give a care about wins/losses.

    Some examples:

Last night I find 2 survivors stuck at the base of a hill. I goof around with them for a couple seconds while they teabagged like little hungry ducklings. So, I downed them, picked one up and let her wiggle free. I walked off and downed the Adam. Why? It absolutely sucks to get stuck in a game map and then you can't defend yourself. You get downed, hooked, tunneled, out. No fun. So, I let them go. The poor Nea got stuck again later in the same game. I shook my head at her, downed her, and moved on. I still 4k'd, but I did not have to get sweaty to do it. These were all red rank players, so it's not like they were incompetent. Just bad luck.

On another match, I had this Nea that was very good at mind games. I had everyone on death hook, but her and I started goofing off at the killer shack. She evaded me with a nice window juke, so I sat at the window hitting it. She kept crouching up to the window looking up at me and turning circles. It was just a funny moment. Ultimately, 2 died, 2 escaped - I wasted time goofing off, but it was worth it. We had some great laughs after the match and I added a few people to friends list.

I don't play to be friendly as a killer. I just play with a mindset of being fair, and trying to understand that it is living people on the other side. Some are jerks, some are cool. I ignore the jerks and enjoy meeting the cool ones. It's called empathy, not the perk, the actual skill. I can empathize with people and how much a situation may suck. I try to do that no matter what I'm doing.

Don't get me wrong, if we were engaged in a competition that mattered, or where money was on the line, or the welfare of my family....I will seek and destroy without hesitation. I did it in the military, as a law enforcement officer, and in my current career. But this is a GAME. It is not worth having the seek and destroy mentality. It is just for fun and relaxation.

  • @OBX said:

Frame rate is horrid. It why pc killers will see so many console survivors doing 360. Us console killers can’t visually track a survivor during a 360 due to the frames and console survivors abuse that.

This explains the groups of potato red rank console survivors I've been play against. They keep trying to 360 and loop like a drunken sloth. I kept thinking I was matched vs green ranks only to see red rank console survivors.

At least post game chat is quiet.

  • Though the matches are usually tough, I run Trapper and Pig with a dash of Doc and Hag. I don't like running Nurse or Spirit and never developed a taste for Billy. Red rank play is pretty tense with those 2, but fun.

How is doing your objective being a prick? Or do you mean the using a flashlight for points at the end?

Jesus christ you people need to grow up. Not exploiting someone is great, and fair. But then blaming them for doing their job, and saying "this is the thanks I get for showing mercy?" ######### out of here.

You let them go. Period. They did their gens. Period. They used a flashlight.

    And THATS TOXIC?

So, I assume you find absolutely nothing a survivor or killer does to be in any way "prick" behavior? Face camp from the start, all good. 4 Man SWF focused on harassing the killer until they are bored and then hitting gens...all good. Players using bugs in the game to "survive" (looking at you hook tec), all good again? You say other's need to grow up when all you are doing is trying to validate what is otherwise widely viewed as toxic behavior in the game. Who needs to grow up here?

You literally jumped into a conversation where two people were discussing trying to play the game as if it was a game. Trying to treat other players as if they were a living person, and how sometimes behavior of others makes it difficult. You felt you needed to jump in and villainize those people and then say THEY need to grow up?

Please, go stare at the mirror in the bathroom until you understand how off base you are here. No need for any further discussion here. You are clearly incapable of grasping an adult conversation about not taking a GAME too seriously. (Read the conversations before you rant about us taking the game seriously...our conversation was literally about not taking it seriously.)

    "Toxic crackhead" for hooking someone?

Dude, THIS is why the forums are a battleground. Because everyone wants to make everyone else look like a total #########.

The killer didnt get them stuck. The killers job is to hook and kill them.

So maybe if you mean "by not taking advantage of a situation and doing your job in game", then sure.

What are you talking about? We are talking about showing a tad of sportsmanship to real people. The OP took it easy on a survivor hosed by a game bug and the survivor acted like a prick in return. We discussed instances of both sides being azzholes.

You seriously need to chill and take a step back. This is a meaningless game, not a life or death bloodbath. The discussion you inserted yourself into was about trying to act like a decent person and still getting treated like crap. You obviously don't get it.

  • The sarcasm is deep in this thread.

yes, that is something to consider but I’ve had instances where I was playing friendly and still got “bullied” I guess you can say. I was playing Wraith yesterday and remained invisible just to chill out and have an odd but friendly game, yet and still I got flashlight burned and teabagged. There are some people who can respect a friendly killer and some who just can’t turn off the jerk button.

As have I, but I often let it roll off my back. I'd rather stay me than become them.

Don't get me wrong, when it counts, I can be a very harsh competitor. DbD is nowhere near important enough for me to let that side out. It's a silly party game, not losing any sleep over it.

Nea is swedish, David is english, Jeff is canadian, Ace is Argentinian.

The color of the skin doesn't matter, the country their are from is. I'm glad devs created survivors that aren't all americans like it was at the beginning ( the four original are americans )

As for killer you forgot Hag and Trapper who are both people of color.

You are right on Hag. I did forget her. Trapper, on the other hand, is not a person of color. MacMillan is Scottish though he is from US.

I believe Plague/Adiris would be either something along the lines of Greek or Middle Eastern given the fact that shes from (or around) Babylon.

    Agreed

  • Wait, has anyone even looked up population ratios? This game is pretty on par here.

18 characters with 8 people of color. Considering whites make up around 70%.

I'm honestly not concerned with the race of the character, just want goo lore and perks.

    Asian

    Jake, Yui, Feng

    Black

    Tapp, Claudette, Adam

    Hispanic

    Jane

    Arabic

    Zarin

    White

Dwight, Meg, Nea, Bill, Quentin, David, Jeff, Nancy, Ash, Ace, Lori

Killers may be less diverse. Off the top of my head, there are only the following: Doc, Wraith, Spirit, Oni, one of Legion, Plague....perhaps, she could be anything. Oh, and demogorgan......he's one of a kind.

  • @Unicorn said:

Your objective is to kill, not to have mercy.

Perhaps if there was something more riding on it than my confidence, I would be the no mercy type. For now, it's a game and I prefer to remember there are other people on the other side. You never know when you change someone's horrible day into a good one by not being a toxic crackhead. No sweat off my back.

  • That was pretty low of him. Me, I'd have stayed and given you a kill. I've done lots of times.

Rarely ever get the return favor though whenever I show mercy. Had a guy start in my TR and found him immediately. I shook my head and slashed at the open map. He proceeded to try and body block and flashlight blind me every time I went for a hook. I thought he might have WGLF or MoM. No, just being annoying.

He complained that I camped him after the match. His buddy tried for the hook and then looped the hook for his entire second stage. I admit, I could have cut the loop short, but I figured I'd let his buddy be dumb.

Unsurprisingly those killers iv seen dc have(relatively few but red rank killers dont usually dc for me) are shockingly rank 18 + with 1 perk slot for spies from the shadows.

Let me get this straight you'd rather a system where people prematurely kill themselves or throw ,ruining the game for others instead of just flat out avoiding the ######### show? No one is saying you HAVE to dodge on swf. Hell it could help, if I knew a 2 man was in lobby I could lose the sweat build but 4 man with toolkits? That a meta game 4 sure.

Lobby dodging was an absolute nightmare back before SWF. Survivors would dodge lobbies just to get in matches together. You could sit for an hour in a lobby.

It would be the same. Killers would dodge then survivors would circumnavigate by dodging in solo que

It would be an absolute nightmare. Not worth it just to spare a few sensitive players their ego being hurt.

Seriously, I just ran 7 matches as Pig. 2 were very good SWF who had 3 gens down before first hook. I 4k'd in one and 2 k the other. Were the matches a little frustrating, sure, but also challenging. No sweat off my back. I mostly play lower tier killers like Trapper, Pig and Doc

  • Though I saw all the nightmares by others, I have to admit that most of my games were pretty appropriate. I had a few anomalies with rank 20's here and there, but 90% were red rank players, or obviously skilled purple/green.

They have something in there slightly working. Unfortunately, it is clearly messed up. Hopefully they can fix it, because the ranking system just does not work. So many horrible red rank players, and lots of highly skilled players who intentionally avoid ranking up.

Maybe you are right, but once the build is a bit modified, maybe pop, infectious, and less basement heavy maybe it's really possible to isolate survivors in just 1 area of the map

Isolation is a tactic used by many. I main Trapper and also run Hag. Trapper is all about isolating areas of the map. I set up for chases in an area with relatively good access to 4 or 5 gens and trap the hell out of it.

The focus is not on a hook camp or a basement camp though. My problem with camping as the overall strategy is that it is weak, lazy, and unimaginative. Camping is a tool to use at key times. Got one hooked with one slugged and 2 injured. The slug and hook are literally dead center of 4 gens I can monitor within 3 seconds of each other. I can pressure gens and ebb away the life of 2 survivors by staying in that area or run off to the isolated gen in the back. Nope, time to proxy camp.

I see those who set up to camp as 1 of 3 types. We are talking those who intend to camp from the first hook on.

    1. Toxic jerks who just want to annoy people

    2. Seriously low skilled players who just don't get it

    3. Lazy players who just want to scrape ez bp together.

I will Caveat that by saying there are some key basement builds for several killers, but most require set up and some level of skill to get it going. Most are not designed as camping builds though.

  • First of all, this is a long run strategy by Bubba mains for as long as he's been in the game. Nothing original or new. Protect immediate guns near the basement, run either TI or DH mixed with IG, Agi, and Ruin/NOED. You created nothing new. It is one of the many shithead play styles that pushed me into being a killer main around 3 years ago.

It does not work vs good players. You can claim it does, but smart players will run you long enough to Crack that 2-3 gen security field near the basement and then blast gens far apart. Forces Bubba to have to travel the map and lose pressure.

You also leave out skilled loopers who are more than capable of buying enough time.

Your setup works vs lower skilled players. Ruin is doing nothing for you. You are not doing anything beyond a toxic play style and taking pleasure in annoying others.

Can't wait for school to start again and occupy some of your time.

Your right instead they just kill themselves on hook when it's a killer they don't like.

Suprise people dont want to play a game as a killer to be bullied into a corner by people with quite literally 100x the amount of hours they have. Iv seen killers with one perk against 4 rank 1s. Swf changes the game - comms , they dont need many perks because of mics, very little loss of efficiency as you know who's being chased , who's on gen and who's doing totems, know when to block or not. Etc etc. But Devs can make more money off swfs so screw killer that's been evident for awhile now.

Killers DC, or go afk in the corner all the time.

It is why I disagree with punishment for afk or hook suicide. Players should have the right to throw a match. But not avoid the match outright. Of every 10 swf I run into, 1.5 are the super annoying ones, while 5 of 10 are the highly gen focused teams. Of the highly gen focused teams, 1 or 2 are so good that I'm lucky to get 2 kills.

If I avoided every SWF due to 10% of my matches, that would destroy que times for me. Bad for the game all around.

  • Understandable, and as a killer who plays occasional survivor, I agree with you.

Keep that in mind when you are completely out playing a killer who is trying to avoid camping and tunneling. Though there is nothing against the rules about either, it sucks when you are trying to not be a prick only to get constantly body blocked by the BT or blinded when you are already going to lose.

...do all koreans look a specific certain way?

Like, does it need to be overly stereotyped for him to "be" korean?

    Foh with that.

Koreans have very distinct features. What, you think all Asians look alike? lol Seriously, Korean people are very distinct features. I guess I've just been around so many people of Korean, Chinese and Japanese heritage that I notice it easily compared to others.

  • Triggered, sensitive, insecure players will avoid them. It would be no different than letting survivors know what killer they are facing, even if you locked their current build in. They'd see they are facing Spirit and leave lobby. WTH is the point of that? Punished for playing a killer, or punished for playing a GAME with friends?

Stop with this silliness. I face SWF non-stop and though it can get frustrating at times, most suck horribly and try so hard to be a top-tier streamer while turning out to be a rotten potato. There is way too much crying about SWF on this forum. Yes, comms give an advantage, but I'd rather see them buff solo survivor and killers as opposed to letting us know when there is an SWF or nerfing SWF.

Just had a SWF that stacked the purple lips and one of the green ones so heading in I’m assuming slippery meat build... I down the first pretty quick and stand in front of her she proceeds to immediately try and does escape on the third try I smack her down and she DCs.

Rest of the game went pretty korma but she stuck around to call me trash in endgame. I was right they had Slippery and DS/unbreakable.

Sorry, I don’t face camp but this is clearly the time. I’m not obligated to give you a free unhook, and no I don’t have to respect the 4% it’s no longer 4%

This may be the dumbest reason to camp I've ever heard. I see stacked luck all the time. People crack me up because they don't realize their luck caps out before you get the full benefit of the 2nd lips offering. Considering there is an achievement for kobe'ing 100 times, I don't sweat it. The offering gives me info.

    1. They are likely an SWF.

    2. They won't be swarming the hook if they are trying to max out kobe chances

    3. I'll need to quickly get to the next gen because they won't break off early to unhook.

    4. I need to pay attention to where I'm hooking people. Either I bait them into hitting a gen right in front of them; one that will likely push them into a three gen or one I can approach from multiple directions outside of LoS. Or, I need to hook them far from gens.

    5. Chances are at least 2 will enter 2nd stage quickly, so pay attention to early death hook contenders.

All of this is valuable info that benefits me way more than their kobe does. I main rather weak killers, Trapper and Pig, and even I won't stress over this type of setup.

If you are camping due to those offerings, you are very insecure in your abilities as killer. I suggest you take a step back and try and evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in order to become more comfortable.

  • Daily.

Sometimes, if I just want to see a particular one, I'll bring one and use it on the last hook or end game. Ebony Mori is the most OP thing in this game and I don't care to use them.

Keys don't bother me. I've seen three keys last week with only one being used after closing the hatch to trigger EGC. Keys are strong, but are a shadow compared to EM.

Would like to see keys reworked to only allow one person per key.

  • I hate when you get the whole "..camping is a legit strategy.." type of argument. It could not be further from the truth.

    1. Camping as a tool in the toolbox at specific times is absolutely a tactic that can and should be used. I've had a few times where it was a crucial moment in a match where one is lugged by the hook, one on the hook. 1 Gen left, 2 unharmed survivors nearby as well as a gen at 80% and the nearest hook is near max carry distance. No, I'm not going to leave that area just yet. Make them sweat, let his gen drop to 10%, keep my eye on both survivors trying to sneak up....that is the smart move.
    2. Getting my first survivor down and hooking them is not the time to camp. That is the absolute dumbest thing I can do. I leave at least 2 survivors to work gens while one scopes out my patter. By the time they get that one survivor off the hook, 2 more gens are done and I'm standing there looking incompetent. Half-way decent survivors will smoke someone who hard camps from the first hook on. I'll have to rely on NOED to get another kill. That is purely a crap killer with no skill. Not a legit strategy. That killer will never get better either. They'll rank up due to low-skill solo groups, but then get slaughtered at higher ranks and cry about survivors being too strong...for the wrong reasons, thus drowning out the legit issues with strong SWFs...(I could rant more there).
    3. Camping a "toxic" survivor only gives them joy most of the time. I did it back in the day and eventually realized I was letting them under my skin, which is exactly what they wanted. Hooking their butt and then destroying the whole team was much more rewarding because I could watch them cry in post-game chat about how EZ it was...even though I 4k'd with 3 gens left and they all got less than 10k bp.

Camping as a whole-game strategy is pure stupid and guarantees you will never get better. Camping at strategic moments is a tool to be used as needed.

  • Though I agree with you, I would like to point out one monkey wrench in the analysis of the current MMR system.

Depip'ers. There is a significant number of players who intentionally avoid ranking up so they can play in "easier" pools of players. I've seen survivors and killers who openly do this. Whether it is a player who runs Bubba here and there to score some toxic kills by face camping/basement camping after rank reset; only to stop once they hit rank 13. Or survivors who have smurf accounts (killers too) in order to torture newbie killers.

There are many that I know the steam profiles of who I have seen complaining about MMR matching on the steam forums. They cry and whine about being paired vs red rank killers/survivors, but fail to acknowledge that the MMR is doing exactly what it should be doing in their case. They are better than the newbie pool they refuse to leave. Thus MMR is pushing them into a harder arena, and they hate it.

That does not discredit your points, you have lots of valid ones. I just want to make sure these scummy players (yes, they are scummy for feeding on low-skill players new to the game) are not left out of the equation.

I think survivors getting slashed or hooked is far more...sexual than killers getting stunned. Worst offenders here would be Claudette, David and sexy Jane.

Couple days a go I was over at a friends place. I was the first to get up (all were hammered) and I had my laptop with me so I figured why not grind on the archives a bit. One after another woke up from all the "sensual screaming", thinking I was onto some really hard porn!

Edit: Imagine someone getting off sounding like clown getting stunned xD

My wife laughs at Jane. Says she is an incel's dream. She sounds like she's having sex with everything she does. Cleanse a totem, sounds like she's having sex. Get hit and howling all over the map..sounds like rough sex. Hooked, sounds like she's having sex again. Man, someone was working some things out when they recorded those sounds. lol Hope they got it all taken care of.

    Pig.

A majority of her addons revolve around her RBT and whether or not they have an real value in game depends on luck. Trap status effects don't do anything if they get off immediately.

And Rule set 2 is trash tier.

I'd agree with this. Pig is one of my main killers and her addons are pure luck/rng-based. I often run without addons because many don't work with specific builds. Her end-game build is a joke now that her traps mean nothing if you put them on post 5th gen. Only her most powerful addons have an impact on games. Most of her addons are too dependent on her RBTs, which are very very suspect due to rng. I'd like to see a few tweaks to her addons. Honestly, I'm not that dissatisfied with her overall power package, just the addons. Sure, I'd love to see the rng tweaked a bit, but not so that heads start popping left and right. Maybe make the traps so they can't be removed until activated? Or give her a couple more traps as her base kit. 5 Traps are not very much when at least 2 are removed within seconds in every match.

Would love to see an addon that causes a box to malfunction, making you not able to use it for 30 seconds. Waste a bit more time.

  • I've never heard an orgasm that sounded like the Doc when he's stunned. That just made him even creepier. Maybe Huntress....but not many others. Trapper sounds like he got punched in the gut. Piggy sounds like the Pillsbury Doughboy got squeezed instead of poked. GF sounds like someone is letting air out of a tire.

Honestly, I'm not sure where you are getting this idea from. Who the heck have you been around when they orgasm? You are watching some sick porn bro. Stop it, get some help. lol

  • Personally, I don't think it is either. I am always aware of the possibility of DS. My play style makes me rarely run into it though. I am usually already in another chase by the time the other person is off the hook. If they come and try to body block, I slug em and keep going with the other chase. That's now 3 people off of a gen - the one being chased, the one slugged, and the one coming to heal them (barring unbreakable).

I get DS'ed here and there, but usually due to downing someone right at the end of the DS timer and not paying attention. DS is most frustrating near the end of the game when you have 2 people left. You have not tunneled all game, so their DS is still viable. You are trying to protect that last hook and eat a DS for your efforts.

Want to fix DS from being as weaponized as it is? Simple: When the last gen is done, DS deactivates. If the survivor hops in the locker, DS deactivates. Problem solved.

To be fair for the most part the guys r quieter than the girls

Not even close. I can hear Bill, Jake, Jeff, and Tapp from across the map. The only female of their octave is Jane, who sounds like a wounded warthog. I think Jeff and Jake are still louder though. Ace is the only real quiet male. Maybe Quinten as well. I don't see many of him so I don't remember his noise level.

Seriously, I will hear most of the men, especially Bill, Jake and Jeff from two killer shacks away. I will often have to stop and listen to hear Feng, Claud, Kate, Meg or Nea. Jane, her Jeff and Jake have a practical loud speaker they cry into.
