When I saw survivors stuck there, I downed them, picked them up (sometimes getting stuck myself, which required attacking while carrying to free myself), and then let them wiggle free. I'd then walk away and patrol gens as if it hadn't happened.
I did the same. The point is, neither you or I had any obligation to do so. It was a free choice. Same for the survivors. They have no obligation to stop wiggling until the killer figures out a way to hook them. If they do, more power to them. But if they don't, they're not really abusing an exploit. They're not causing the bug that makes it impossible to hook. They're simply wiggling, which is an intended mechanic.
-
99 however many gens are left possibly as far away as possible from the hatch. Then pop them one by one and hide, testing with each one if the killer closes the hatch and comes for you. Almost suicide? Yes. But not really holding the game hostage.

Legion put Freddy in deep wound. Darn kiddos should be taught a lesson.

No. It's like saying killers who hooked survivors who were stuck in the hill bug were abusing an exploit. They weren't. Not bannable.
-
It cancels if your health state changes before the heal is completed.
In your example, you would remain in the dying state.

Uninstalling right now.

M1 killers are killers whose powers can't help them in chase, and can therefore rely solely on their ability to chase normally, swinging through pallets (pressing M1) and hoping for the survivors to not fix gens/loop efficiently.
The following killers
- the Trapper
- the Wraith
- the Hillbilly
- the Nurse
- the Shape
- the Doctor
- the Cannibal
- the Nightmare
- the Pig
- the Clown
- the Legion
- the Plague
- the Ghost
- the Demogorgon
- the Deathslinger
- the Executioner
- the Blight
are considered to be M1 killers, because their powers are either useless in a chase against a competent survivor (e.g. Wraith, Doctor, Pig, Demogorgon), or non consistent enough (e.g. Clown, Nurse, Hillbilly, Cannibal, Deathslinger).
This is gonna fly over a few heads, but I really enjoyed it!
-
It's a killer buff. Same with DS, now it stuns you only for a couple of seconds before you can move again.

People have been saying Killer just stunned like from pallet...not the 5 seconds it used to be...
Yes, there's a video in the bug report section.

It's comedy gold at this point.

Emblems are separated from bloodpoints.
-
DS, BT, Exhaustion, Iron Will and a med-kit.
Arguably, BT isn't that great in solo Q, but I'm liking it lately.
It's a build that implies that you're comfortable being chased, although that doesn't mean being cocky aggressive.
If you want to prioritize stealth: SB, Fixated, Spine Chill and Calm Spirit with med-kit or a healing perk (yeah, Calm Spirit is the superior stealth perk, not Iron Will).

Can anyone verify that this platform can spawn a hook on top? I've played well over 100 games on dead dawg saloon and never saw a hook up top of that platform... Plus as the generator completes parts of the floor drop out which logistically doesn't leave room for a hook let alone enough room to navigate a hook or unhook to my recollection.
@ThatOneGuy: Where/how was this hook positioned exactly?
Trying to get a rough picture in my head. Because the report may need to be a map glitch report.
Also if all other gens are done, technically your objective is to escape. There are 7 gens...
It can spawn a hook up there. I hooked people there. I've only seen it spawn near the side of the staircase.
-
You never see it because it's very hard to pull off and it gets you killed most of the time. It's usually done during the chain blink window.

I personally have never had a problem revealing Ghost Face after I seeked for information how it works. So here's the info for you and everyone else having problems with it:
- The Ghost Face has to be in the middle area of your screen BOTH horizontally AND vertically, the area is about 30 percent of your screen in size
- You have to see over 30 percent of his body to be able to reveal him, seeing his mask when he leans behind cover isn't enough
- If your character's model is in the way when you try to reveal him, it won't work.
Also try and ask for a friend to help in KYF and learn the camera gimmicks to get him in the right part of the screen. Hope this helps.
Well, you're the exception. Yes, do try it in KYF and you'll see very clearly that that's all good in theory, except it doesn't work as intended in practice.
Also, sure you have to look at him with the center of your screen, but your model counts as a LoS blocker. And guess what's in the center of your screen...
Yeah, probably someone at BHVR didn't think this one through.
-
No. It's simply terrible game design.

Good. Now, make a thread about camping. That seems to be misunderstood, too.
It is NOT camping if I'm circling the hook. It's called 'patrolling'.
There, you're welcome.

Perfectly reasonable suggestion.

You are viewing the survivors as a single unit. When in reality not many people think this way. Do you honestly believe the 2 survivors that escaped are thinking "oh darn, we drew because 2 of us died"? Hell no, they are thinking they won, they beat the killer.
And why do you care what they think? The game gives killer and survivors their respective objective and tells you that the balance (tie condition) is 2k2e. Care about your objectives.
-
I used Detective's Hunch and a a green map with add-ons for hatch and exit gates. Detective's Hunch procs will add totems to the map regardless even without a red twine if it's a green map.
For the rest, I ran meta perks of preference and after finishing the gens we got a 2-man escape.
If your issue is that you cleanse totems but end up dying because solo q lovely experience, then I suggest you run Left Behind, then Detective's Hunch or Small Game, and finally a key or Plunderer's to try to plunder one.
Good luck.
-
My survivor queues are pretty fast, regardless of crossplay.
-
I usually skip keys because I don't care about using a mori and having a 5 min match. However, I often don't pay attention in the lobby and I end up in the trial anyway.
If I burn a pudding/streamers/cake, I usually dodge teams with thousands of hours. However, in return I play only for bp (but not farm) and I usually let everyone go, unless it backfires badly and they're a good team who's stomping me.
Outside of these cases, I really don't care and I take everything.
-
From the comments I suppose some of you aren't familiar with dbd tournaments.
Unless there's some weird rule that says BPs are the win condition, then the gameplay is always similar.
Survivors split up and they don't greed anything in a chase, not even god pallets. Killers get that one hook after 3/4 gens and they set the tent next to it.
This is not solo q where good loopers try to be efficient because they can't count on their rando teammates being able to last more than 15 seconds in a chase without wasting half the pallets on the map, or being capable to finish a gen in less than 5 minutes instead of hiding in a corner.
Same for killers. They're just not gonna give up pressuring the hook when gens are flying.
Dbd is a casual party game. This is why tournaments are boring as hell, because the game isn't balanced to be competitive and that's what optimal strategies look like currently.
-
They should definitely be general perks and the teachables reworked to do something else.
Welcome to bhvr.

But i hear the phasing when they do not use this addon. this is why it's so weird for me that i don't hear it when they equip it.
Phasing sound is non-directional and audible only outside of TR, regardless of add-ons.
By default, it has a range (24m?) from Spirit's ethereal (invisible) form.
Prayer beads make it so that the phasing sound is heard map-wide instead, but still outside only of TR.
-
It's not against DbD rules. It's against Twitch rules if you stream as well.
-
It's still very common, because effectively his camping has been buffed. Now he can double smack you through BT.
I find it funny, because in the trailer BHVR showed a basement Bubba trying to hold a chainsaw and going in a forced tantrum, as if that showed that finally facecamping Bubba was a thing of the past. Hilarious.
-
Spine chill is fine as it is. If you've issues with it, keep the gen at the edge of your field of view when walking up to it. Spine chill won't trigger.
As for stalking, if survivors have half a brain, you won't be able to do it from close up without them noticing you, regardless of spine chill.
-
Yes. The only activation condition is that there's an alive survivor within range. That's it. Anything else won't affect it.
-
For one, corrupt+pop is superior to old ruin and, even if it takes up two slots, it's actually worth its weight.
Secondly, I only use the combo on some killers and mostly as insurance against bad map rng. Most of the time I even forget I have pop.
-
Nea.
-
I knew ranks were broken the moment I got to rank 1 on both sides.
-
What do you expect them to do exactly? To stand in the open and go for a stroll holding your hand?
Their objective is to repair the gens and escape. This rant is as illogical as survivors complaining that killers kill.
-
4 god pallets back-to-back. Time to become a survivor main.
-
Because that would be free torment or free hit or free slowdown.
When PH approaches survivors they would have to run away and get tormented, crouch and get hit or simply wait for the trail to go away, but they last long enough that PH would set them up again before that.
-
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
Doesn't it leave if your too close to it? That kills face camping. Then the PH has to make an informed guess as to where it is and book it halfway across the map. I don't think thats worth counter DS and BT. Especially since it leaves gens wide open.
His ranged attack reaches further than the detection area for the cage relocation, which is 5m. So, he can simply hold POTD just outside that and there's nothing that can be done except dead harding (and possibly ending up exhausted on the floor), because it can't be bodyblocked and BT/DS don't proc on cages.
Also, the cage is not always across the map. Geometrically, if the down happens in the middle, the cage can't spawn very far. The informed guess? Yes, you're indeed correct. It's an informed guess. Not unfailable, but not that hard to pull off either after a few hours of caging and getting a sense for the spawns.
We might not call it facecamping because he's not literally face-to-face. Call it 6m camping if you prefer.

You still miss the comparison.
Spirit requires you to read and predict.
Mix up characters require you to read and predict.
There is nothing here about hacking or spamming fireballs.
Spirit can only be doing so much, the fact you can't see her or know exactly what she's doing shouldn't matter. If there are only 2 paths she can take to reach your location and you take this 3rd path away from her then you just beat every option she had at the same time. She is not infallible.
Spirit is a reactive killer, not a predictive killer. She requires tracking, not reading.

Pallets and windows are still very strong against Spirit. Even with stridor, she has to guess which side you will be on. Against Nurse, your best friend is structures and LOS breakers, which force her to have to make wild guesses.
BTW, I'm not saying all killers should literally have their power, but other killers should have ways to make running/looping less effective.
Spirit doesn't have to guess the side, it's very easy to hear. Survivors also make a sound when slow vaulting, even uninjured.
-
Yes, they all stack together.
The clause in We'll Make It description means that We'll Make It doesn't stack with itself. I.e. you do 2 unhooks in short succession, you won't get another stack for the second unhook. It will simply reset the timer.
However, We'll Make It will stack with anything else.

Mmr is turned off though
But it's not going away. They'll go through with it, you might as well get used to the fact that ranks and pips will be totally worthless.
-
The emblem system is meaningless with mmr. The devs literally stated that they're gonna leave ranks just for bragging rights.
You can happily stop caring about pips and their inconsistencies.
-
Range followed by trail duration if you want to get them tormented as much as possible.
Power duration and recharge are ok but kinda unnecessary. The power bar duration is already plenty by default and refills quickly as it is. I've really never run out when in a chase.

That must be deathzone pale rose 8 pallets in total and not enough place to spawn pallets making the game put one next to the other one just too reach the 8 base pallets on a map
This is the correct explanation. Although, admittedly, I don't know what's the default minimum number of pallets on pale rose.
In general, when you see a double pallet, it means that the maze tiles mostly or all spawned as t/l walls.

Ok, if that is your definition of fair then all killers should quit. Also, BHVR can implement these changes, whether or not they do is on them, but it would massively improve the game.
It's not my definition. It's the rules' definition. 3rd party programs are banned if they provide an unfair advantage. Voice chat is openly (the devs stated this openly) allowed. Therefore, for the purpose of the definition, they're not unfair.
And bvhr can't implement these changes. They can't even ban for communication abuse if the console messaging is used.
You saying they can do anything about it has no source except yourself.

R1 pc killer. I get survivors from a mix of platforms.

No, anti-cheat software can detect applications and processes running on the computer if given permission. So skype, Discord, Ventrillo, etc. can be detected and asked to be shut down. As for consoles, I don't know the specifics of their TOS. But I am sure DBD can pipe any audio from XBOX live parties into proximity chat, thus not limiting Party Chat but also not giving an unfair advantage.
All these voice chat softwares are legit and can be used outside of gaming. Blocking them would create major issues and EAC is never gonna do that. Dbd would become the laughing stock of the gaming community for even thinking about something like that.
Regarding console chat, bhvr has absolutely no saying or authority over that and it's entirely managed by their respective platforms.
As for the unfair advantage, it's a non-argument. Voice chat is openly allowed. If it's legal then it's also fair game.

No, they need to implement proximity chat and make outside chat platforms a bannable offense for cheating.
Not happening. Impossible to enforce from a technical standpoint and it would also break the tos of consoles.
