Saloon. I always have problems on Saloon, I dont even know why.
Its not like I never escape or never 4K on those Maps, but it feels like I have to put more efford in either of those than on any other Map.
It's probably the unsafe pallets for survivor and for killer the stupid breakable walls. I also do very well as both sides, but that map is unfun. It's genrush while someone puts up a 15 second chase, or waste time breaking walls, get genrushed then sweat for the 4k. Not fun.

Dead Dawg Saloon, ######### that map.

Toughest for the squad is actually doctor by far because I like to hide
With a close second being mike
Trappers give trouble if we do are second team loadout because we don't run info perks
Nurse and spirt plague are junk because those are our main killers
Interesting, I'd challenge you to a KYF if I fixed my PC's issues and was as good as Spirit as I used to be (I don't even compare to that level anymore). Well, have fun with your squad I guess! Please don't hurt the killers, they are precious.

If you think that SWF makes bad players good, you are wrong. Most SWFs are not that good, and most are indeed just friends playing together. Real SWF-Squads exist in VERY low numbers.
But I guess you are one of those who plays against SWF-Squads EVERY game.
Yeah, most people just wanna have fun lol. I remember one time as Oni I got head on stunned into the hatch, the amount of skill and planning that took was astonishing (no sarcasm, the Bill made it completely convincing, I wouldn't have thought the Dwight was there in 1 million years). That was a SWF (2 man) who just wanted to have fun.
-
One time a Claudette dropped on me while I was in The Game (map), gave me a heart attack, and I was a Myers lol. Messaged her after and she said she got scared too.

Set them up against someone who's good at Oni, Spirit, Freddy, Billy or Nurse and you'd all die in seconds, trust me.
Forgot Huntress and Myers, they can be very good. Hag don't work against SWF so I don't include her.

But it was a rank 4 freddy who got me.

2+ gen chases. Anything less and I have room to improve. If up against a new killer or someone still learning the killer, I don't count it.
EDIT: If the killer gives the chase up, it doesn't count.

Hard to tell if this is a "humble" brag or he's doing a convoluted post about how SWF is so powerful you can go half a year with no perks and not die once...
Don't take him seriously lol, even if this was true, bet they're facing rank 20 killers constantly.

For survivor, definitely pallet teleportation nerf and insteaheal nerf. And I loved the medium vault buff, a while ago where they updated the animation and made it faster. The other buff I loved was the recent vaulting buff, it's fair now, and I'm not getting hit from a map away now, and as a Lithe gamer, it's a HUGE buff to Lithe.
For killer, the Hag buffs brought me a lot of happiness, and a new killer to main. I played her a little before the buffs, but only with addons for range and The Game map to secure a win, after the buff, I didn't need addons or any kind of map, it was and still is great. For nerfs, definitely Legion, I hated him back then.

Honestly I just want Rin's Dad because I was kinda pissed it was The Oni instead when the Cursed Legacy was revealed. Course that was my fault for hyping it up to be Rin's Dad with the hints that it will be someone from the Yamaoka Family. Or maybe Rin's father can be a legendary skin for the Oni, who knows?
Perhaps.

It does, I abuse it against them.

@DelsKibara said:
I just realized that means we could get Spirit's Father.
Rin's Dad confirmed 2020 guys. Definitely, it's not the Oni this time.
He'd have to be a new character tbh, since he was desperate and broken, not filled with revenge and rage like Rin was. So it's unlikely he'd have the Yamaokas haunting ability, probably would make a cool new character.

I just hate wasting pallets so I greed them, plus Resilience + Spine chill excuse my mistakes if there's a nearby vault.

Yeah playing risky is really fun as survivor. Ofc it doesn't work always but it's still worth a try just for the laughs
Playing save all the time made it boring to me so I do a lot crazy stuff. And it's an awesome feeling when it works
Yeah, I'm gradually changing my playstyle. It's ironic because I greed a lot of pallets, yet I don't have the balls to do all these other tricks.

The Doctor will always be my enemy! I don't like to face him at all! I like to play as him tho, easy 3-4k.
I have all the killers, but I don't play them all and there are some I still have not played, so based on the killers I have played... I don't like to play the Hag because the last time I played her, I sweat my butt off for the 4k and it was a very stressful game and I think I am just scarred now haha.
I find it kind of odd how he can spam his shock now with that one addon.
-
My brother, said the Sidemen played it and it looked fun. He was correct, didn't expect to love it as much as I do though, actually thought it was trash by looking at it, but after we played one game, I was hooked. Now, I'm quite a lot better than my brother ironically, and when we play together, we both have a laugh, trying to get a friend to buy it (he will when it's on sale) so we can SWF and I can teach him.
Once crossplay comes, I'll probably bash with my bro and friend, but this time, my bro wont be next to me, and he'll actually be able to play when I am. Will be pretty lit.
My main motivation that still keeps me here is to hone my skill as survivor and have fun but also improve my skill as killer (most the killers I play are not that hard for me to learn).

Yeah this loops is really strong when known how to use it. And there is only 1 way as killer to counter loop it to have chance catching them fast. And the key word is "chance". As a slow killer you probably have to take all 3 loops till its blocked
I know how to prevent the mindgame that Ardetha seems to enjoy, and probably can play it properly, it's just that I'm super careful with it and the tractor loop, so I usually just use my Lithe to leave the whole area. But yeah, maybe I should start using it, I haven't bothered with these dropdown loops since Balanced got butchered, I find them too risky for me. My mates does all these risky plays that pay off, like hiding behind a barrel, window techs and whatnot and I gotta admit, it makes the game look more fun than playing it careful like me, plus they can REALLY pay off in distance.

I'm not sure if you're joking but the Demogorgon isn't male nor female; it's gender less.
I call her a female because I'm weird and no amount of proof will stop me from calling her a female.

@DwightOP said:
I think he is talking about the little truck loop? In that case is overestimating the stumble impact from that hight. It really isn't that much compared to myers roof drop hight. The stumble is there, but minimal enough to create a loop there. Balanced landing has no effect on it (whole exhausted).
Ty, didn't know since I barely use that loop myself, pretty strong for a loop then though.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Balanced landing gives a landing bonus and speed boost when active. While exhausted, makes the survivors not grunt as loud during the landing.
That's actually pretty good, it still has a passive (reduced noise) and can be used for mindgames. Too bad it's too situational... If only they added more dropdowns on most maps, then I'd probably run it.
-
@YaiPa said:
lmao, the guy clearly has balanced landing, he gets the sprint burst, which means he's not exhausted, then he didn't get the stagger effect. He even says it in the video...
I think he was talking about after the guy jumped from the truck, you couldn't hear him and he seemed to recover faster. @DwightOP clarified it though.

Clown strikes me as a person who struggled with weight their whole life. I don't believe he was ever athletic...
Honestly, my older brother used to resemble the clown in physique and now he's lost so much weight that you could never tell that he used to look the way he did, unless you personally knew him or see a picture. If he can change THAT much, I don't doubt that the Clown could change too.

@Crowman said:
Right now the most annoying killers for me to face is Hag. Mostly because I've started to see more hags recently and it seems like my teammates when playing solo don't understand how to play against her.
Huntress and Deathslinger are also up there. Huntress due to hatchets having huge hitboxes. Deathslinger because I find there's not much warning to quick scopes and his small terror radius.
I don't really have a killer I hate playing, but I have several I just don't really play much.
Yeah, my teammates can't even figure her out either lol. I still be a dick and disarm her traps to hinder her though, since that IS her only counterplay without a flashlight. If people knew how simple it is, she wouldn't feel so strong.

@MusicNerd_TC said:
Most annoying killer to play for me is Myers, he used to be my favourite killer, but he is so outdated now and needs a rework/buff.
I hate playing against leather face as most of the time, when you get hooked you might as well suicide, because he is going to camp. I don't suicide though.
Tbh, if Myers had either infinite stalking at base (followed by a rework to some of his addons like Tombstone piece) or had much faster stalking at base, he'd be less addon reliant, and still great. I'm leaning more to the much faster stalking at base though, since his EW1 is really hard to get out of atm, and with trees being so plentiful now, it's not very hard to waste his time. Plus, that'd also let him get more EW3's.
Another 2 ideas that'd do a lot would just be to let him have EW3 for 90 seconds (bit busted imo) or rework his EW2 to give him some sort of mobility to make it worthwhile, since he spends most the game in EW2.
-
I guess that's the horrible thing of this game, certain killers just can't keep up. You're probably not doing anything wrong, you're new and definitely shouldn't be at rank 8, no offence. Pig is a killer that can't keep up with genrush, even though she's designed to delay the game. I can't help you much with advice, aside from slug? But Pig SUCKS for slugging. Sorry man, you don't deserve such a bad experience.

It doesn't matter either way, I have no idea who he is and wouldn't change my loadout just to trigger one person, that's just silly.
People are weird sometimes. I had a game as Spirit last month, first game back (but I was rank 8 since I bashed Oni a lot), and someone accused me of being on a smurf account and being bad? I stomped his team btw, so idek how I was 'bad' to him, or how I am this completely different person he mistook me for. When I demanded an explanation he just left lol.

I was for the first kill because it was one of my dailies (all killer dailies, FML). The chat just made me shrug. Dude was very self-centered, acting like I knew he'd been mori'd 4 times before and only took DH to trigger him personally.
Lol, he's probably lying about being mori'd 4 times before. Highly doubt he's that unlucky.

The unsafe pallets for survivors and being forced to break the walls for killer SUCKS. Not to mention that even if you do break the walls, there's that other window loop which is hella OP. That map was horribly designed.

I would ABUSE the anti Dead Dawg Saloon offerings, I hate that map with a passion, sucks for both sides.

By way of contrast though her isolation in such a remote area could suggest any number of things.
After all, she was alone, raising a child in a desolate and dangerous area. One that she herself obviously wasn't fully equipped to survive in.
To me that reeks of someone desperate - but whether to hide, to start a new life, or simply just someone with no other options we just can't know.
True, it'd be interesting. Do legendary skins have their own lore? We could really learn a lot about these interesting side characters.

Omg I forgot he's called Nightmare in the game! 🤣🤣🤣 But yeah, Myers can be a beast if you're good at red stain mindgames.

Spirit, Nightmare, Nurse, Hillbilly, Oni, Huntress, and even Ghostface and Doctor are all solidly viable at red ranks. Borrowed Time isn't supposed to be used in the killer's face, though.
If this was intentional, why was it removed? Did the devs actually say this was intentional at all?
Believe so, but I won't find the patch notes since it'd take too long. 99% sure it was written in the actual patch notes though.

She could work.
We don't know much about her really, except that, for whatever reason, she was a single mother trying to eke out a living in the Russian wilderness. There's nothing indicate she was any nicer or wiser than her daughter turned out and even so those traits wouldn't really keep her from being a Killer.
As a whole, I quite like the idea of lore-based Legendary Outfits. It could be cool to see.
I personally think she is just by the way she was in the lore, and her knowing some songs and having a daughter indicates that she had interacted with humans before, in which she may have inherited some morality.

You shouldn't try to save against a camper anyway. The fact that it's even a thing survivors consider is just proof of how little the killers actually matter. If the killer is somewhere, you should want to be somewhere else.
EDIT: Also, no such thing as an unfair grab, barring latency. The killer is there and grabbing is a thing they can do. You decided to take a risky action, that's all.
Borrowed time is designed for saving against campers. This mechanic was designed to make Borrowed time unhooks easier because people used to let go a few seconds ago but STILL get grabbed.
Anyways, it's not something I do myself, I just hold M1, open the gates and don't look back. But it was intentionally made to help against campers for those unhooks and prevent unfair grabs, so I'm curious as to why it was removed.
-
@TheRockstarKnight said:
A lean and muscular Clown with the chiseled physique of a track athlete?
I don't know how I feel about that.
I dunno, it'd be interesting. We could also get one of the Trapper's dad, Huntress' mum, or the Wraith's boss, Azarov. Although I can't see the Huntress' mum working since I believe she wasn't evil and was wiser than Anna. Idk, it'd be interesting for legendary skin ideas though.
-
The tapping one was intentional to prevent unfair grabs. I'm VERY curious as to why THAT was removed, it's just going to make saving against camping way too difficult. (If that's the one you mean)

No, good Hag players don't use their traps to camp, but honestly find me a good Hag player on Xbox, within the Aus Sydney servers. They're more rare than non-hatch escapes against a Forever Freddy.

That’s how decent Hags play, watch a really good Hag. They are precise with their web of traps, smart about when to chase and when not to, willing to give up early gens to set up late pressure.
I can play Hag and 4K against ransoms and solos but I am far from a good Hag, Those ones can wipe the floor with coordinated SWF even with flashlights
I used to be at that lvl, can confirm. Now though... I'm a shadow of my former self, a poser... 🤣🤣🤣

@hagling said:
I've noticed with less popular killers people tend to play them in a sorta scummy way because they feel like they don't have a choice, for example I find that a lot of hags I face will trap a single hook multiple times thinking that's the best way to use her power.. when they're actually just wasting time. a reckless survivor only needs 1 trap to trigger, a competent survivor will crouch over all of them because hook traps are very very predictable.
similarly a lot of casual pig players will take the 'easy' route and patrol jigsaw boxes instead of gens to secure a hook from a probably still wounded survivor, which is neither the nicest nor most efficient way to play her ime. like others have said I think that's where the bias comes from, but even when I see piggy playing like that? I don't internalize it to mean pig as a killer is innately a tunneler, just like hag isn't innately a camper, so I don't judge the next one I see. ig people are just babies sometimes.
I'd love to see more piggies.
That's just bad Hags lol. Good Hags don't need that move, they'll win easily. If people get to learn the less popular killers, they'll realise they're actually better than they think, like what happened with Wraith. Me and @Boss called it right after his buffs that he was good, but it took people a LONG time to realise that.
-
I never cleanse, I hate when teammates do, then I try to overload the fountains and force her power out, then hopefully they'll take a hint.
They don't.
But as Plauge, I don't play her, but I'd definitely want the Corrupt Purge often. That mode makes her a Huntress that is 110% MS when charging her hatchets which sprays around the area, essentially being unavoidable if you're good with it. Maybe it's just your playstyle though.
