I play by a rule I have made for myself during solos if the survivors manage to get down in 10 seconds I let them die. No point in saving a team that can't last 10 seconds when you can make a chase last a minute easily.

@KillermainBTWm8 what if it's a Spirit or Nurse who chased them? Does the rule differ?

  • @Mister_xD yeah they come into my face and I swing with STBFL. XD. I normally nod at them, they dc though :(

  • Why was he banned? :(

  • Hag, she's too much to handle :P

Especially if it has a cloak ability and you can hear it's iconic noises as it moves around the map

@DeadByMoonlight if it wasn't a direction sound, that'd keep me on edge as survivor. I'd legit love it.

  • @almondbutter to be honest, it's still a solid list. We seem to think pretty similarly lol. except for the Spirit and Billy thing.

  • Omg the Predators would be awesome. I'd totally love that! They'd be so scary.

  • My mom would just punch the legion honestly ;)

But MoM shouldn't deplete the frenzy that's just dumb.

  • That wouldn't work. At all. I'd just add a notification about the SWF so I can bring a mori, Nurse, and omegablink.

I'm still salty that one curbstomped my Spirit yesterday because the clicking distracted me XD.

  • I do respect your opinion (yes I did in the other thread too).

I don't know what to really say honestly, it comes down to your experiences. If you think Billy is better, then so be it. You might change your mind. I used to think he was better than Hag and Spirit both. Then I mained Hag and Spirit and the difference was blatantly obvious to me.

I can't really convince you otherwise, but I'll personally say, my list for the killers are:

    image.png

Obviously, we have different opinions though.

  • They're so inconsistent. Some maps like Lery's, they're OK but on maps like Yamaoka Estate or Coldwind farm hearing is literally impossible.

    in Sounds? Comment by Poweas
  • @Mister_xD I can't :P. I don't really main him, just that I have the skill to play him. Although I have been levelling him a lot recently, because I prestige him by accident. Ima just play him in the place of Hag for a bit. He's a lot of fun :P

  • @Mister_xD said:

    Trapper should be higher.

you said "if you play them very well", so we are talking about a really good Trapper here. These guys can end the game extremely fast...

@Mister_xD honestly, I don't doubt it. Good Trappers can dominate a team easily. I've done it a few times. Ever since you pointed out to me he can be good, I started learning him. I haven't played him in months but I definitely recognise his strength.

This I can agree with. While I am not to your "god" level, I find her great. Spirit on the other hand, no one is equal tier to the nurse. (Ok prayer beads spirit yes.) Hag's main problem is the reliance on traps to be triggered. If Billy wants to go somewhere, he will get there and he will get there fast. Yes, when conditions are right, hag beats Billy. If you are really that good, a skilled hag makes the conditions happen.

@thekiller490490 I'm not god level, I just got really good chasing and use Surveillance to 4 gen and snowball a team. But thanks!

I'm far from it XD, but also far from a pleb Spirit. But I agree with everything else you wrote. You seem to have a good understanding of the killers in general.

Why are you guys so set on proving me wrong every post? Jesus Christ

@almondbutter it's not that, we just don't agree with you overrating Billy.

I wouldn't say Hag is underrated, but definitely underused. A lot of people just don't know how to get the most out of her. Unlike Billy and Nurse who are relatively straightforward, Hags ability gives her a lot of possible tactics. I don't see many hag mains but I see a lot of people acknowledge her as top tier.

@ClogWench he forgot to list Hag as viable. Everyone always neglect her.

  • @Visionmaker said:

    Yes, yes... Don't self-care.

That way, I'll be able to hear your cries of pain and one-shot you.

@Visionmaker Iron will says hello .-.

  • Untrue, I play at high ranks without Ruin, I play Spirit and HAG. A killer who takes time to set up. I do fine.

  • You're mad about a Feng dropping pallets, I had a 'Survive' 'with' 'Fengs' '!' (Yeah they were called those names.) And they wouldn't drop a single pallet, they stomped me.

  • Next patch, they're going to give a new system I think.

I will become so godly with Spirit XD.

  • Freddy, remember me is quite good for endgame collapse after closing hatch. Bloodwarden is quite OP nowadays with NOED, Fire up is a meme unless u run Brutal Strength.

He's also getting a rework where he might become top tier.

  • I'd do it more like this,

    image.png

I consider Hag above Billy check my profile why, Spirit and Nurse in their own tier even above. Wraith is solid for me.

Pretty much, SS tier is untouchable once mastered- don't need addons. S tier are really good killers- also don't need addons.

A are high but need addons for the most part, except Huntress and Myers.

B can win, but mostly dependant on survivors. If Pig wasn't nerfed, she'd be S after Billy because of her endgame potential.

C take too much skill, can counter loops when literally perfected but have no map pressure.

    Leatherface is a meme.

Freddy is only B because he's a built in ruin.

  • Advice for anyone learning Spirit, a survivor will always spawn on either side of you right when you spawn. If there's a wall to your right, go to your left, if there's a wall to your left, go to your right. I abuse this to get a ridiculously quick first chase with Spirits phasing.

I have 2k hours, here's my tier list.

    1. Nurse
    2. Hillbilly
    3. Hag
    4. Spirit
    5. Shape
    6. Huntress
    7. Pig
    8. Clown
    9. Doctor
    10. Freddy
    11. Wraith
    12. Plague (Pre nerfs I would say she was better than Spirit)
    13. Legion
    14. Leatherface

@Salty_Pearl I'd swap Spirit and Billy around around and that's basically my tierlist :D

I agree for the most part. Honestly I think people put too much faith into Spirit. Sure, she can end chases in a couple of seconds, but Hillbilly has the capacity to end them before they even begin.

@almondbutter but against good survivors, who know what they're doing. He won't get a chance to instadown. Which makes Spirit>>>>>>>Billy.

  • @Tohmo said:

@Poweas I have more than just a couple hours with her lmao. I've just been playing her more consistently. I've been playing on and off since her release.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/473/2I4FZFKW8ATU.png

    clown moment

@almondbutter then you'd see how much better she is than Billy. You listed her cooldown after phasing as an issue which it isn't if you know how to maximise the effectiveness of your 5 seconds phase. I play her base too, and I do well. You don't even need to use the whole bar to get a hit. And the hit and phase tactic is ineffective.

Seriously, if you've been playing her so much, you'd definitely understand her by now. I think you've got more time playing than me, considering I only get about 2 hours total gametime per week (now though, it's like 7 hours because I got extra time).

Although, I got stomped as a SWF earlier which sucked. I got distracted by flashlights like a pleb and got wrecked. XD. That's the joy of Spirit though, if you mess up, you'll be punished and you'll easily lose, but if you're on top of everything, she can easily destroy a team. It's what makes her so fun.

But saying her cooldown makes her weaker than Billy is a REAL Clown moment XD.

@poweas spirit isn't that hard, i played ton of hours with her and nurse on my ps4.. you need good headphone, need to hear footsteps, look grass and scratchmarks if they fake directions, or try to cut/anticipate their next move. She's the best after the nurse, they are similiar in some aspects, you just require a full understanding of the game, not really that much of the character. I think nurse still require more time, at least on console, because of the slower sensitivity

@lunaticlifter I agree for console, on PC, Nurse is a meme in terms of skill. I came from XBOX to a PC with the major turning and FPS increase, I had Nurse nailed in 2 weeks. I've been maining Spirit since December 2018 I think and I'm still improving. She takes more skill on PC, but on Xbox or PS4 Nurse takes far more.

  • @Milo he wrote this though?

'As they are all so brave to stand 1 step away from the exit and taunt the killer why not change it to as long as Blood Warden is not active just standing in the Exit gate and not leaving speeds up the EGC.'

I thought he was referring to a Blood Warden change.

  • @Tohmo said:

I played Spirit a couple hours straight to see if she's really that good. She's good in chase, I find the hit then phase strategy to be her most effective. Though, she just can't keep up with Hillbilly's capability of ending chases before they even start. She has no instadown mechanics and her movement speed mechanics are limited and require cooldown. I'd put her at maybe 4 or 3 on my list now, but I feel she's getting overestimated. Keep in mind this is base spirit, no add-ons.

    @Tohmo said:

Spirit can 100% be looped. You can run out of power and then you're a 110% killer. Billy just proves more consistent to me as his power doesn't require cooldown and can be accessed at any time. Plus his 115%.

@almondbutter there ya go. That's where you're wrong. You said you played for a few hours right? Spirit takes MUCH longer to fully learn and understand, like I'm talking months. She takes more training to understand than Nurse does, and that's quite insane.

She doesn't need an instadown and if you had more skill with her, you'd literally be ending chases in 7 seconds as some god tier Spirits do. Hillbilly takes far less skill and is easier to understand.

You should try investing more time and then tell us. A couple of hours is nothing. And Hit and phase strat isn't effective, I personally phase, hit, get looped for 7 seconds (I normally have more than half the bar left) and phase and down. At most that's an 11 second chase. But I run Save the best for last and it's usually like 7 seconds.

  • Or use a map offering. But I'd play Spirit if you're stuck with it.

  • Play Spirit, she does best on that map. Easy tracking from the corn <3

Alright, I'm going to tell you a big secret that "They" don't want you to know.

There is no big conspiracy to "wither down one's mental state". All there is, is companies using tactics that work to sell things because many people just can't say no. They have no impulse control. They have no self-control. They don't think before making a choice. And then they blame "Them" for their own bad decisions, like they're victims of anything other than their own lack of discipline.

Do you know what I do when I see an item on sale? A 2-for-1 deal? A €9,99 item? Absolutely ######### nothing. I don't need nor want that item on sale. I don't care if it's a 2-for-1 deal because I either only need the one or don't need it at all. €9,99? Too expensive - most of the miscellaneous crap I buy costs less than half of that per unit, and even then I weigh the pros and cons.

You want to know what's actually ######### people over financially and they have no control over? The hyper-accumulation of wealth, which always leads to major economical catastrophes. Well, unless the governments get the stooges (that would be everyone who's not in the 1%, if you're keeping up) to pay for it. And they do, which just perpetuates the cycle.

People having no self-control, however, is their own fault. Stop blaming someone else for the decisions you make.

I'm fairly neutral in this Battle Pass discussion - I think it's stupid, but I don't really care one way or the other - but your attempts to shift the blame for the financial decisions that people make is absurd.

@Orion I completely agree. I think it's stupid but I DEFINITELY won't be pressured into buying it, that's a bit strange. Although, again, some people will be.

  • @PeenutsButt3r honestly, I just got used to tracking by blinking around. Just look one direction, and flick it last second if you think they're there. It's similar to Spirit where you face another direction, and phase to them.

Honestly, it just comes from experience.

  • @se05239 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/492986#Comment_492986

@Orion Goods themselves, maybe not, but whenever when something's on sale? 2 for one bargains? A price that's 9.99 instead of 10? You bet your arse its psychological.

And please don't be stupid with me, Orion. All people got a limit to how much they can resist before they fall victim to these things. That slow withering down of one's mental state, in order to make people open their wallets and spend.. Its sick.

@se05239 I can't understand this. I've never felt pushed to buy anything in this game, skins, this battle pass, anything. I don't think everyone has a limit. Although I agree this battle pass is to pressure people into buying.

  • Also @NMCKE I think extra blinks should increase the cooldown by 0.7 seconds only.

  • @se05239 @NMCKE is a pretty terrifying Nurse tbh. I think I've faced him once and got curbstomped.

But as feedback to the actual thread, Nurse's cooldown should be 5 seconds instead of 15. No point in making her Spirit since Spirit has 5 seconds to track the survivor but Nurse only has about 2 or 3. With a 5 second cooldown, she could be balanced.

  • My god, don't let it get to you. There's no need to buff a pretty strong perk. And that's from a killer main.

  • @Exerlin said:

@Poweas Yeah, but it might have been harder to program if it only affected the killer's hearing. If a survivor has iron will and the killer has stridor, the game does some simple math to figure out how loud that survivor is (100 - 100 + 50 = 50). If it worked the way it should work, the survivor's output would be 0%, and the devs would have to write new code that would allow the killer and only the killer to bypass that. This could have caused some issues in development since you were increasing the volume of a sound that didn't exist, and it might have required a complete rewrite of the code that handles the survivor's pain and breathing sounds.

@Exerlin aren't they reworking the sound next update to be double checked every update or something? Surely they could do this the update after, and if their system works, they get a slight buff to Stridor to make it less easy to detect and if they didn't mess up the new system, this probably wouldn't be an issue tbh.

  • @PigNRun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/492939#Comment_492939

Well, then you would be saying "Why does it not notify me the Killer is running Stridor even if Im running Iron Will?".

@PigNRun no I wouldn't, I wouldn't care much. It'd be a decent buff because now whenever I hear myself, I know one of their perks.

  • @Exerlin shouldn't it only affect the killers? It makes no sense for me to hear my grunting and the killer to hear nothing despite them running the perk?

  • @NMCKE said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/492790#Comment_492790

    @Poweas

That's all cool, sometimes you have to tunnel or camp. No worries, just play by your rules! :)

@NMCKE I used to play by survivor rules but I made a thread about something being toxic and scummy, check it out and after that thread, I gave up on survivor rules.

  • @NMCKE yeah I do pretty much all of that. Except I kill the last guy and only give hatch if they deserve it.

Obviously, as Spirit I follow completely different rules. I shamelessly tunnel, camp if exit gates are powered (although it's rare for me to get to gates) or I camp if I saw someone and try to find them and I rarely give hatch/exit gate.

Idk, I'm rusty as Nurse now, if I went into a game rn, I'd get curbstomped.

  • @Kiskashi honestly, I've faced a god tier Billy before. I've also faced a god tier Hag. I've played both at an excellent level (although, I'll admit I've lost my skill as both).

But I didn't mean to say Billy is bad, I meant to say he's good, but bad IN COMPARISON to Hag, Spirit and Nurse. He's viable, works well and can 4k just as well as the next killer. Just trash compared to the power of Hag.

Hi there, im a Spirit main who plays at Rank 1 without addons and get 4 kills almost every match (only 2 or 3 kills against full TOXIC CWFs, but i still get more points tho), here is my build if you are interested...

    Predator, Ruin, Nurses Calling, BBQ.

@Bug_Reporter same! But I use Surveillance, STBFL, BBQ and A Nurses calling. We seem to play similarly lol.

To answer the question though, for now, yes. When the sounds are finally fixed, it'll be useless in comparison to other perks.

Idk, it doesn't help me as Spirit it seems to hinder me tbh.

  • @Kiskashi said:

@Poweas That we can agree on, spirit and hag are definitely fun and viable. I’ll still be playing with under top tier, I don’t care too much about tiers because I don’t play competitively (with rank still meaning nothing) had a funny ninja doctor match on Lerys by complete chance last night, was very fun. Even clown can be fun every once in a while.

I’m also not a fan of billy personally, I can see the potential though and I’d definitely play a sneaky billy build if I ever learned him (decreased noise, M&A, tinkerer etc) but that doesn’t make him interesting to me. I’m personally excited for ghost.

@Kiskashi being completely honest, I don't like weaker killers generally. I am skilled with some of them and can 4k but I usually like the killers who I can always win as because I hate losing. Unless It's as Spirit or Hag that I lose, then I'm fine with it.

It's the reason I don't like Billy. He's not strong against proper survivors. At least Spirit, Hag and Nurse can still stomp them. Hag can take on SWF, just takes a hell of a lot of skill but it's doable. But Billy, he gets looped for decades. He's a noobstomper. Unless you're running addons, he's quite bad in comparison to the others. Still good but bad in comparison.

Those 3 are unloopable but Billy can be bullied for days. He's not as good as he gets credit for. Killers that were buffed like Hag and Spirit completely outshine him.

He can snowball decently, but still not a Hag/Myers tier snowballer.

Idk, Billy is not good at all. He's an M1 killer against good survivors and it's obvious. He can curve his saw but survivors with a brain could turn the other way and avoid it and STILL get to the pallet. With addons to increase his saws movespeed or instacharge or ridiculous turning or even his instacooldown, he's quite good though but still not as good as a base Spirit.

I play base Spirit at high ranks (usually around 3-2 because I don't go for rank 1 although rn I'm around rank 6 because I don't get much time to play) and I can stomp people without addons and with a build of BBQ, A Nurses Calling, Save the best for last and Surveillance. No ruin or anything.

Even as Hag, I play her base with A Nurses calling, Thanatophobia, Sloppy butcher and Save the best for last and I'll still do better than an instasaw Billy.

As Billy I used to be decent with him, I used Enduring, Spirit fury, Bamboozle and BBQ. With instasaw and instacooldown addon combo and I did much worse than Hag and Spirit. I used to 4k a lot, but I wasn't Hag or Spirit tier.

  • @NMCKE said:

    @Poweas

Yes, it's great on her but I try not to use it because it saves me a perk slot.

@NMCKE tbh,, Nurse doesn't require perk slots. She's THAT strong. I used to run Deerstalker, A Nurses calling (my only serious perk), Bitter murmur and Shadowborn. You can kind of meme around with the perks.

I still 4k'd effortlessly at rank 1 because of her insane pressure and strength.

  • Shadowborn is really good. Like ridiculously good on Nurse.

  • @Kiskashi you didn't offend me it was a compliment <3.

Also, I don't just play top tier killers, I just have the most fun with Hag and Spirit. That's it.

I find Billy annoying and boring. I just get looped.

1 … 31 32 33 34 35 … 108
