@Poweas To a lot of players the second spot on the tier list is up for debate. I think it’s obviously Spirit but I wouldn’t really argue with somebody who puts Billy there.

At base, I’d say Sprit and Hag are slightly better than Billy, but at their absolute strongest Billy is no match for Spirit OR Hag. Their strongest add-ons easily destroy anything Billy can do.

@MegMain98 even their bases are better than a Billy with addons. It's actually insane. I wouldn't be surprised if Hag gets a slight nerf and Spirit gets a slight nerf.

Obviously, they shouldn't since they're amazing. But they might?

  • @miaasma said:

    you're both wrong lol

    billy can curve at loops

you've never seen a good billy apparently

@miaasma good survivors can 180 it and avoid it :PPPP

    @Poweas

The way I chase, it affected me.

M1 for injured, m2 to chase after their cries.

@Masantonio oh ok, you play differently to me. I just phase anyway, get like 7 seconds chases if sounds weren't bugged.

Billy is loopable . And with no addons he cant do much no matter how good he is. Hag is more about skill and strategy.

@Slayer considering your PFP, didn't expect you to understand. A vote up from me for that, and I rarely give them out so be honoured :P

  • @BloodMoneyMerc lol, you must be unexperienced if you haven't faced a good Hag yet XDDDDD she leaves Billy for dead.

Spirit is dead against iron will which is a meta perk by the way

@Slayer lol with unbugged sounds, Iron will is a joke. Billy is a meme anyways in comparison to Spirit. He's better than most other killers and SLIGHTLY worse than Hag, but not Spirit level.

  • @AetherBytes you spoke wise words... (Quick I'll hide you while they try to chase you down with pitchforks) :P

  • @Awakey said:

HELL. YES. SPIRIT GANG, REJOICE! FOR WE HAVE OUR POWER BACK!

@Masantonio MoM did like nothing to Spirit, just saying. She still chased faster than a Nurse even with MoM being everywhere :P

  • Why are the sounds still dodgy? Cmon dude, It's been 6 months and stuff are still quiet. Some maps are great, others... not so much.

  • @MegMain98 the range addons are ridiculous. I hate them to play and play against. It breaks her. Plus with Surveillance and a brain, she can get to generators with almost no warning, something her base can't do without Monitor and Abuse.

  • Also @NuclearBurrito I like the perk a lot in general, I always play it.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/530431#Comment_530431

@Poweas Why STBLF on a plague? The benefit you get when using it on an injured target is very small. And since it doesn't effect corrupt you don't get much use out of it when they cleanse either.

Same thing applies to expose perks.

@NuclearBurrito that's literally if you catch 4 in a dead zone. The cooldown is really helpful to mow them down quicker. It's more helpful on Spirit, but definitely has uses on the Plague too.

  • @TreemanXD Ok, tell me how it is. I personally got bored of how easy it was. But you might enjoy it idk.

  • @Peanits can you shed some light as to why BHVR doesn't support these players?

  • @TreemanXD level her, try it, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Thanatophobia is very underrated in general, I used it as Spirit for a while with Sloppy butcher, and healing took over 40 seconds so they tried to group up which made them vulnerable to my Nurses calling and STBFL combo. And if they tried to keep it, I'd catch them on the gens. It was literally OP. STBFL let me injure everyone in seconds too.

It can be quite broken sometimes when used correctly. On Plague and Legion though, it's truly something else.

  • @TreemanXD she hears you through vomiting, and you still get stomped. :P I run Spine chill too, and just saying, it's not impossible for a Plague to do that. I do it myself.

  • Annabelle creation lol.

  • @TreemanXD But against a good Plague, you're screwed with the 12.8 seconds lost. With perks like Surveillance and STBFL, she can very efficiently snowball you. It'd get boring winning so easily, but it is a fix.

  • SWF keep the game alive. It's needed.

  • @MegMain98 said:

@lunaticlifter @Poweas Nurse needs absolutely nothing to completely destroy survivors. She can go in without add-ons and perks and still kill everyone. She is just super good at ending chases quickly. If you’re good at Nurse then you need nothing.

Nurse is the ONLY killer than needs nothing against a good group. No other killer can do that, not Spirit, not Hag, not Billy. It doesn’t matter how good the survivors are, if the Nurse is really good she will always win.

With the other top tier killers like Spirit, Hag, and Billy you still don’t need OP add-ons. At the VERY most you’d need green add-ons. I don’t even use add-ons with Hag unless I’m doing a specific build.

I personally can’t play Nurse because I’m bad at her. The only time I did somewhat decent was when I was running the two long blink range add-ons.

@MegMain98 yeah I agree, she's that OP. I'm totally hoping to see her addons nerfed and not her power, since she's good.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/530397#Comment_530397

@Poweas At the beginning of the match sure.

But as the trial went on? With no one healing from fountains? No access to Corrupt Purge without the use of add-ons?

Mid-tier at best. Reminder that Vile Purge was only useful against survivors that weren't sick to begin with, even back than.

@Mc_Harty to be honest, if you want to pressure survivors into cleansing, you just have to run Thanatophobia, I'm shocked so much people haven't noticed that. They can suffer 12.8 seconds, which is huge btw, or cleanse.

I'm so shocked nobody notices it.

  • Change your keybinds.

  • @Mc_Harty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/530387#Comment_530387

@Poweas Honestly, Plague was never top tier. People just thought that because survivors were often cleansing in the PTB. I always found her mid-tier at her best, even back then.

@Mc_Harty she was definitely top tier. With that speed while vomiting, she was moving at normal speed, and had her power ready to start. Nothing like now. She was undoubtedly a top tier.

  • @Mc_Harty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/530365#Comment_530365

@Poweas People complained about Plague not being 'infectious' enough on the PTB which resulted in her getting changed. Freddies was a ######### mistake releasing a new killer with free weekend players.

But with Ghostface imagine this scenario.

    • You release on killer on the beta that everyone agrees was crap.
    • You buff said killer to perform better on the PTB due to overwhelming negative reaction.
    • You then make a poll asking your player base if their satisfied with the changes.
    • Then all of a sudden you nerf him, despite over 80% of your community liking the buffs to him.

You'll forgive me if I find that too stupid, even for BHVRs sake.

@Mc_Harty Plague was also nerfed, a lot. Now she's not top tier anymore. Despite her minor buffs, in the end it was a huge nerf.

But who knows, they might nerf him. This is BHVR.

  • @lunaticlifter said:

@Poweas another example, i tried her without ruin against a decent team, i made some mistakes, but played overall good.. close victory and didn't even deserve the 4th k as he was too altruistic

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckKGsotOREY&t=459s

@lunaticlifter yeah you messed up when you hooked the David. I would have slugged him, and pressured the last gen. Let ace pick him up, teleport back, and down both of them.

But, not using Ruin takes a lot of practice. It isn't something you can stop using instantly. You become reliant on it and forget how difficult it can be without Ruin. Try to not use it for a month and tell me if you get used to life without Ruin on my wall.

  • I like him, but he's not my style. I prefer the highest skill cap killers.

    @Mc_Harty said:

Why is it that people think he'll be nerfed after everyone unanimously agreed he was garbage before?

Everything Ghostface does, Myers does better.

@Mc_Harty Freddy and Plague are the reasons why everyone are expecting a FAT nerf.

Myers is better, but Ghostface is fresh content and fun so they like him, plus his mori is quite awesome.

  • @Tsulan said:

@all the people that downvoted my hatch removal proposal. Is there a similar mechanic for killers that I didn't knew? One that rewards utterly bad killers with 7000bp?

But survivors deserve that escape, right? Like when one of the last 2 survivors doesn't do anything but search for the hatch and then camp it.

@Tsulan NOED :p you get 7000 BPs from the kills (before you all murder me, I promise I am not a NOED hater. It's far too powerful for me to talk smack about it)

  • @lunaticlifter I face them every game lol at rank 4-3, Nurse is that strong that she can STILL defeat them. And my current build is actually kind of weird. No BBQ or Ruin. I run Shadowborn, A Nurses calling, Sloppy butcher and Thanatophobia. I can dominate easily with this.

Nurse is one of those who can stomp a sweaty SWF without perks and addons.

  • God no, imagine a Hag jumping down and speeding towards you XD, that would be terrifying. Lol.@Theluckyboi

  • I agree, good idea tbh. It would work. The walking speed is a bit much, 3 m/s is insane and would butcher Spirit if they have Iron will.

  • About Nurse, on PC I play her without addons nowadays at high ranks, it's like once every fortnight.

She's not ruin reliant, it's a bit much on her considering her power. But, if you struggle with genrush, it's completely understandable for you to use it. Hag, Billy or Spirit aren't ruin reliant either in case u wanted to know.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't mean this to reflect negatively toward any streamers, but the top ones tend to lose perspective and forget that most of us don't play the game for a living or have 3k plus hours. Most opinions that streamers like ScottJund, Zubat, etc., give should come with a "results not typical" disclaimer. The most ridiculous one I hear is that Spirit doesn't need add-ons. That just sets a discouraging expectation for people who aren't optimal all the time. Again, I'm not claiming that they're deliberately misleading or even wrong, it's just that their opinions need to be taken with a grain of salt and context.

@edgarpoop I play at rank 4 without addons, what are you talking about. I win like 90% of my matches. She doesn't have room for errors, but she's definitely good without addons. The most ridiculous one I've ever heard is that Billy doesn't need addons lol. He can rarely get a flick without them, he's a faster Leatherface without them.

  • And before you say she can only apply pressure with her range addons, that's not true, she has enough room to apply pressure at base.

  • Hag>>>>>>Nurse>>>>>>>>>Billy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Spirit.

Hag has much better pressure than Nurse (@ me if you want to discuss) and it's rather obvious. Billy has decent pressure to, but not as much, and Spirit has a lot less pressure but better chasing than Nurse to compensate.

  • @TimeyWimey said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/528454#Comment_528454

Basically because those ones are killers that have higher mobility and/ or stop looping, which survivors really hate. The reason for nurse being hated to play as is probably because she is able to constantly stun herself

@TimeyWimey it's not because she counters looping, it's her addons. All 3 of the killer have some of the most tedious to face addons in the game. I personally like playing against her, but then again, I run Spine chill which lets me juke her a lot easier.

And she's the most hated to play because she's boring as hell. No clue what you're on about. Everyone finds her rather boring.

  • Yeah, I play Spirit at rank 4 (trying to learn Billy depipped me from rank 2 :C ) and I face SWF all the time. It's a good challenge, I tend to win but when I lose I love it, and try to learn from it.

I'm all for these serious high ranks. Btw, only sad thing is, that I get memers like once every 4 months :C. It's sad because meme games are my favourite.

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

The Ghost Face should be here and at S tier tbh.

    "HHHHHHHHHHHH"

@Bbbrian2013 he shouldn't, he sounds like a creep.

  • @lunaticlifter said:

@Poweas i'd like it, especially with the higher sensitivity.. but still fps are the only reason i don't play nurse as much as before, i don't use omegablinks anymore, they are far too op, that's why i run ruin and play with no add ons..we'll see tomorrow if they improved the game

@lunaticlifter I don't play her much anymore either, but because she's boring to me. I don't run omegablink or addons either anymore, since they are obviously so broken it's insane.

I never run Ruin though either, since she's so OP, I can win perkless. Obviously I use perks though :P

  • @MegMain98 said:

@gantes Even if sounds properly worked Spirit would never be as good as Nurse. She is better than Billy (in my opinion) but Nurse will most likely always remain the #1 because she doesn’t have to respect pallets and has INSANE map pressure and chase potential.

@MegMain98 the closest to Nurse if not for flashlights is probably Hag. Better map pressure and equal chase potential. :P But flashlights make Hag suffer to 3rd.

  • @miaasma said:

    @Poweas

well her snowballing is directly related to her map control imo

she applies more hook pressure than any other killer. even if you don't trap hooks (i don't) people will waste time crouching to get unhooks

she's good in chases but trapping loops doesn't necessarily get you downs, it just potentially forces survivors into compromising positions if done correctly. people who know to run away when you trap a loop will keep you running for a while unless you manage to zone them into an area you already have traps in

i think she overshadows billy against good players

@miaasma her web gets her downs. If your trapping is good, you don't need to place any.

Also just trapping loops is just ONE style as Hag. I trap routes, and chase just as well. She has various different playstyles. Not all Hags care about loops. A route Hag can easily apply healing pressure with Thanatophobia since people always run into your traps constantly.

A chokepoint Hag can easily apply map pressure.

But yeah, she's strong in chases. Same as Nurse in speed.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/528606#Comment_528606

hag has counterplay, let her trap the loop while you run to the next tile. a good hag is extremely strong but she has at least a modicum of counterplay no matter how much of a slog she is to play against. hag's main strength is her map control and ability to apply pressure, while spirit excels in chases and suffers with regards to map control

it seems you agree that spirit doesn't have much counterplay outside of perks. what made you take such issue with my posts further back?

@miaasma Hags main strength is her snowball. Best of all killers. Her pressure and control are also the best of all the killers, but not what makes her shine so much.

Hag also has joint chasing with Nurse.

She's like best in 3 more strengths as well, it's why she completely overshadows Billy.

  • @NMCKE let's delete the evidence! :P

  • @GrootDude said:

@NMCKE a conversation you and Poweas had.

@TreemanXD sort of strange how you read through others conversations 😜

  • Yeah, can't say I agree. The downside to DS is that it's somewhat difficult to activate (it's reliant on the killer) and it's also a one time use as @Paladin_Goo said.

  • @TreemanXD I juke Nurses for way too long for them to afford to let me go, so I get camped. We have a laugh anyway, they nod, and we joke about it in aftergame chat <3

Then again, I might just be wrecking them because I'm rank 12.

I don't get camped much, but this is definitely an exception when it's too much.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/528527#Comment_528527

.... No. Even killers with mindgames have some way of applying pressure to survivors. See spirit as an example, her power allows her to both catch survivors off guard and catch up to them. Even killer without that kind of speed that just have instadowns (Myers) have some kind of bonus that makes the chase easier (his vault speed increase.) Having no red stain just make unsafe loops even unsafer, but does nothing for safe loops. They even increased the timer on his power due to the realization that even after he marks you, if the survivor is smart enough to place themselves close to a loop they'll loop you there and make sure to run out your timer so they aren't instadowned. This tweak is simply to help him ensure downs as many other killers have the tools or mechanics to help them ensure downs other then just "instant down" and the only killer that doesn't have any other buff other then insta downs is the worst killer in the game (leatherface)

That's not to say mindgames do nothing for him and that his stealth isin't incredibly powerful, because in a way it is. But it's also map dependant, and doesn't actively help him in the chase like other top tier charecters can.

My only real proposition is to give him a 5% pallet breaking bonus upon marking a target, stackable up to 20% upon all targets marked. The most the average player will be able to get is likely the 5-10% boost due to the marks wearing off and it's unlikely for the killer to be Able to stalk 4 people at once.

@Maelstrom10 ok that could work. Also while quoting you, I noticed you have like 20 alt accounts, what is that about? @Maelstrom1313

1 … 24 25 26 27 28 … 108
