Idk how to format this but this seemed best.
Mindbreaker might also work as a soft-counter to gentapping. If you have an exhaustion perk and tap a gen to stop regression you might not get to use your exhaustion perk. A very soft counter though as walking for 3 seconds even if a chase isn't very difficult and only works for gens under 50%.
Inner Strength was made due to complaints of noed so people would have an incentive to do totems.
I'm interested how useful Fixated will be against Spirit.
BT>Babysitter.
Better Together can help your teammates avoid the gen you're working on while they're being chased and you'll know if you should go for a save when your teammate gets downed.
-
Eh, it would either be meaningless or it would be op. The perk also afflicts the survivor with a 3 second exhaustion debuff which would mean that every generator under 50% would have a slowed down repair speed.

That is so, so situational. And not situational as in "This perk only works on certain maps" but "This perk only works on very specific locations on some maps while survivors are using certain perks not used often in a way that's easy to counter already". No perk should be that situational. And if they are, they should be better at handling the situation. I almost never have to search lockers mid-chase, so why would I ever run this? And once people realize you have it, they just wont enter lockers. So it will only work once per survivor (if the incredibly rare situation comes up), and if they are on comms, it will only work once total. Very weak.
Most bad perks are situational. Doesn't mean we need to make lockers useless in a match just because of one perk. I agree the perk isn't good but this isn't the right way to buff it.
-
The idea of the perk isn't to make locker hiding useless for survivors, but incetivize locker searching as killer. Iron maiden helps when there are 2 lockers and you have to make a 50/50. When you check the first locker, the survivor jumps out and suffers from exposed and with the additional 50% search speed, it makes it possible to catch that survivors afterwards and down them in one hit.
It also helps counter Head On and people who avoid BBQ aura with lockers.
-
This would honestly just be really, really annoying to play against as a killer. Stuns are a pretty big thing and can really hurt the killer so it's not wise to just throw them onto just any perk.
-
If we ever want to have perk diversity in this game the devs would need to take a look at most and least used perks of a time period (maybe 3 months?) and tweak those to be either better or worse. I know some perks just can not be changed or it would completely destroy it's purpose (like iron will, you can't reduce the percentages and keep the perk viable and it would need a rework instead).
I'm not saying the current meta perks are overpowered but they are so much better than the average perk that it's not even a competition.
-
I'd say it doesn't apply. We can't really know since these kinds of auto-healing effects haven't been in the game before.
-
Don't need to be so rude. Was just asking a simple question.

Oblivious is a survivor status effect, so yes.
Yeah, I was just curious if it was like Noed where it isn't revealed straight away. Could already think of perk ideas for it but they could still work but just be less effective as the survivors know whats happening.

Meant it like: When the killer goes for u, just jump in a locker. He grabs you, DS. He walks away, free Healz. Needs three perk slots tho, so more likely i would go Lithe, Q&Q, Dance with me.
You don't get a free heal as Second Wind deactivates the moment you go down.

@Janick said:
A Stealth killer who goes into Undetectable does not give Oblivious to Survivors, there are two totally different effects. Oblivious is applied by certain instances, like touching the Demogorgon Portal, not by the killer being Undetectable.
The killer doesnt know either if Survivors are actually affected by Oblivious.
Hope that clarifies your issues...
Do survivors still know if they're oblivious or not?

Well designed perks give them reason to stick around!
BBQ is no longer reliable for detecting if people are nearby as lockers hide auras.

Mind if I use that but change the wording to "just do the bones and no noed"?
Nothing wrong with either perk.
-
I can't wait for people to stack surge with huntress' lullaby and get that fat 28% regression on all generators withing 32m.

If you're not exhausted, you'll still get the three seconds of exhaustion. It can be handy on stealth killers when you're facing people with Sprint Burst. With other exhaustion perks, they'll still need to stop sprinting for at least three seconds before they can use their perk in that chase as well.
Thanks for confirming. Will be very helpful on all stealth killers.
Also, great anti-camping perks on both survivors, all perks from both sides sound super fun. <3

Even better. 8 seconds isn't just 200% efficient compared to just healing, but since it's just you that makes it 400% efficient.
And it's synergy with Q&Q means you can use it mid chase sometimes if you manage to break LoS
Also true, I was just comparing it to a medkit which takes only 16 seconds alone. If you compare it to self care it's 400% faster.
-
They probably didn't announce it on purpose. Mostly likely next week or after that.

arguably a worse version of pharmacy
Only 3 chests around the map vs 5 totems. Also you're getting a 100% faster heal+you're breaking totems for noed (or hex perks in general). On top of that, you can't be seen with Nurse's Calling.
Unless you're specifically looking to gather medkits, I would use Inner Strength 100% of the time over pharmacy.
-
This perk in general.
Just a better self-care if you ask me.

Some people don't have lecture comprehension. I agree, they're good. What i'm saying is they're not High rank material (mostly).
Of course these perks will be outshadowed by all the current meta perks. The killer perks might be useful in some builds (Surge can probably stand on it's own feet).
-
I think at least 6 or 7 perks were good. I didn't expect any less from a licensed chapter.

I guess. I’d compare it more to Freddy however in the ability to teleport around the map, since Demo can’t use his method of transport for instadown. And I imagine it’ll be typically more stealthy than chainsawing.
I will agree he seems weaker than Billy, but their powers aren’t comparable
Ah, yes I forgot about Freddy, that is a better comparison.

How is the demogorgon’s powers at all like Billy?
Both potentially have huge map pressure because of fast transport but one just has to set it up beforehand and it can get saboed.
-
At least 2 of the perks seemed alright to me. Don't know which dev stream you watched.
How about we also wait for the ptb before we start shitting on a new killer?
-
We'll have to wait for the ptb to judge fully but so far it's not looking that great.

Next week or the week after that most likely. I'm betting next week but I guess we'll have to see.
-
Well you just got lucky as they announced another slowdown perk for the demogorgon. Enjoy!
-
So far, eh, just seems like a worse version of billy.
Have to wait for the ptb.
-
I'd say 7 out of the 9 perks are at least good. 1 was decent, 1 bad.

No, it doesn't count as DC, as I know, because a game gets cancelled.
DCs in the loading screen do count, however I am uncertain if ones in the offering screen do.

Iron Will.

Does anyone have a clip of this happening?

Lol I see no difference. I bearly see any Quentin or Ash even tho they are skins. I actually think that people would play more different character than now. You are not missing anything, you're getting more. Nearly every character/killer has atleast one good perk.
Yes, you barely see any now. How much will you see of them afterwards?
It wouldn't feel like you're losing anything now but when that 5th perk slot could be 1 more meta perk, very few people will continue playing other survivors.
I'd rather see diversity in survivors rather than only see 4 Megs in a single game.
-
In the end, tying perks to certain characters would mean people would only play a few characters from the entire roster. People would never play anything else but survivors with at least 1 meta perk (David, Meg, Laurie, etc)
It would become very rare to see someone play as, say, Quentin or Ash for example.
Survivors need to stay as skins. It's already almost too much that some are louder while injured than others.
-
Yes, calm spirit counters all screams.
-
Bad, just bad.

@PolarBear my bad I didn’t add enough context into it. When you get paired up with random strangers with no form of communication it makes it hard to be a “team”. I’ll be the only one doing objectives and the other 3 are off running around or sneaking around and they caught just like that and you do everything you can to try and heal your “teammates”, unhook them, and try to do gems by yourself and I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s possible for one person to do all 5 generators by themselves, take out totems, and try to babysit their teammates. That’s what I usually have to do, and I get rewarded with death by default. I will even be in chases with the killers a couple times after helping the kids I have to babysit and successfully get away like 5 times. They can’t kill me the whole game, so they have to wait til the very end til the timer goes off but they’ll get rewarded when I die by default. for doing nothing. All they have to do is walk from gate to gate back and forth a couple times until the timer goes out and boom rewarded. I can think of ways for it to favor both sides. Maybe make it so that the time to open a gate is increased while the timer is going off. It could still go either way the killer could still get them but it makes it just a little easier to get away. and also I have no idea why the killer should have the advantage. 1. I’ve never heard of a horror movie where the main character didn’t get away. The survivor is well supposed to survive. A killer just killing everyone in the movie and being triumphant in the end just doesn’t make sense to me. Realistically the survivors would ban together to try and take out the killer, but the game isn’t realistic. Realistically the survivors would find things to stack up and climb over the wall. Also, the game is literally called a SURVIVAL game the SURVIVORS are the main characters and they should be favored more not ######### on.
If your teammates aren't doing anything then maybe you should try to focus on ranking up rather than surviving. If your teammates aren't good at being chased and get downed, you could try and take the heat and let them do gens. If you just sit on gens all game while your teammates get pummeled by the killer and wonder why your teammates are dead and you haven't been hooked once, it's your own fault.
And the game is asymmetrical, there is only 1 killer and 4 survivors. In what world should the survivors be favored? If 1 survivor can beat a killer in a 1 on 1 then the game has not point. Why even bother playing when you have to play 4 times as good as the survivors you're facing?
I don't have most of these problems in my survivor games and I play mostly solo. Sometimes matchmaking can be tough and I get teammates that don't know how to do this or that and we lose.

20k players loss makes a huge difference. May had 70,000 players at its peak, but this month it dropped down to 27,000 player that's not 20k man that's 50,000 player gone.
This here, is the chart of dbd playernumbers from May, see anything special there?
Peak numbers don't mean anything at all.
-
The game hasn't been losing players. The average number of players has rarely dropped below 20k in the past year. I don't know what you're on about.
Most likely this dlc will boost player numbers like every other dlc but those player numbers will fall back down to 20k like it always does.
-
The egc is not a perfect solution but it is far preferable to what we had before. There will never be a perfect solution which will satisfy both survivors and killers alike.
How I see it is that dbd is an asymmetrical game and the killer should have the advantage.
Also, how did the killer do bad if they killed all your other teammates? How did you do good as a survivors if you couldn't finish the generators?
-
Have you thought this maybe just might be your teammates fault for unhooking when the killer is close? Just maybe?
-
"We will never make a non-humanoid killer."
Corrected it for you.
-
You're not supposed to be able to wiggle off on your own (not without flip flop at least). Wiggling is only there so the killer can't carry you to the basement every time you get downed.

Every killer could easily counter MoM, especially Trapper, Wraith, Doctor... Only Huntress, Billy and Nurse had hard times against that perk, but nerfing it for such a SMALL percentage in the roster it's pathetic.
Low tier bait.

Unless they decide their own OG DLC could be for free (as they did with the Huntress DLC)
New dlc, yeah. Old dlc though, don't think so.
-
Without rank reset queues would be terrible in low ranks. People would eventually hit red ranks and never drop out (unless done intentionally).
-
What he said ^
-
There is no way any license holder will give the green light for giving out their characters for free. I also doubt BHVR will give any dlc for free on PC, they'd have to compensate the people who paid for the dlc and you know damn well what those people will ask for.
(It's legacy)
-
I'm all for colorblind options but tweaking blood color is something I'm a bit afraid about. If it becomes something that's easily discernible for people without colorblindness it can give a huge advantage.
