To preface, I am not a spirit player.
I'm wondering why you're looking to switch NC with Discordance when you already have Surveillance? You have two decent tracking perks in BBQ and Surveillance, and Discordance is similar to Surveillance. Maybe consider keeping NC and looking at whether Surveillance or Discordance would be a better fit for you.
-
Not to be rude, but you're gonna have to change your play style. Same thing happens with GF. BT won't get touched any time soon. Don't loop near the basement if you're already injured. If it keeps happening on other hooks, you're gonna have to bring something like DS or DH. If you play with someone, have them body-block. Or you could force a body-block onto the other person (wouldn't recommend it but it's possible).

Players who exploited a bug that made it literally impossible to play the game =/= legion players. Legion, Spirit, Hag are my go-to killers and I certainly didn't feel attacked when that message popped up in-game.
There was a sudden influx of people playing Legion with those add-ons, miraculously. And we all know why.
Everyone else exploiting things for quicker games like legion's bugs are alright then? Some people run it because they don't know and it's a part of their standard build. Easy fix? How about turning the add-ons off or taking them out instead of banning your players. Not all of those bans were entirely justified.

Clown players didn't get repercussions for using Pinky finger when they only needed to be intoxicated to become exposed for over a month and PWYF is also bugged to be way stronger than it should be, in a similar vain to Wake Up!; let's not make this about developer bias when it's clearly not.
The only ones getting repercussions are legion players. Devs have shown to be legion-biased.

As someone who suffers from motion sickness, I would be perfectly happy with a toggle option. If others are enjoying the addition, than I don't want to ruin it. It would be fair for both parties.

Someone put it best, most killers show clear signs of "kicked puppy" disease, but if killers are the ones doing and starting all this toxic behavior then why are they showing signs of a disorder only found in animals that have no control over their fate? But hey to each their own opinion
Look up 'learned helplessness'. Killers are conditioned to be this way and it's unhealthy and quite disgusting.

There isnt. When killers were abusing the tinkerer bug and sloppy butcher Wraith bug- nobody got banned (and if i remember correctly, survivors were asking for bans.) but yeah. There sure is a double standard.
It's just the legion standard.

I can't believe devs would ban anyone for just using specific addons. That would reach sky level of ridiculousness and stupidity
First time legion came out, even though the devs could have prevented it from happening using multiple ways. I just managed to miss that because I was learning them without add-ons at the time.
-
If you want to be really safe, don't play legion until this gets fixed. You might get hit by a ban-wave by accident.

Totems and NOED/Hexes are their way of trying for a second objective. To see if it may be feasible in the future, which is why they are loosely based on survival.

This just blew my mind.

If you want a competitive experience, he would be more heartache than someone like Billy/Nurse/Spirit.
If for fun, than you're fine if he already fits your playstyle. I was worried about the legion changes when they happened. Because I play for fun and their style is my preference, it didn't bother me and I still play them. It depends on your attitude. Only you can make it worth your money.

It is a great boon being able to keep track of a marked survivor as they start to believe they are safe stalking does this perfectly but they want to remove the ability to stalk that survivor because as it is it keeps the survivor exposed, im ok with them removing the ability to keep survs exposed but don't take away my ability to track them with my stalk
I wonder if they could make a way for you to track without continuing to expose them? Since they wanted to merge Killer Instinct into his design, this should be plausible.
-
@HatCreature I would love if the devs looked at console separately if it is something like latency. It's made Nurse more of a joke on console and near impossible for some to play, so I wouldn't mind if they tweaked her just on console to account for that fact. If the same is happening for Ghostface, then rip him if they don't wise up that the PC experience isn't the same for us console users.
-
@Boss Bad games wouldn't be as bad if you got the next one quick and were matched right. I literally booted up Overwatch last night after a year without playing it just to goof off with some friends. It was a nice break from DbD. We were so bad it was hilarious.
That's how I feel with literally all of my legion matches. It was so not worth it most games. Back when MoM was stupidly broken, there was a person who had that, DS, BT, and something else along with a flashlight. They were in a duo who had an insta-heal. Only time I ever purposefully tunneled. They were misfortunate enough to fall by basement. God they were salty afterwards. DC'd when I caught them the third time. One of the few I replied to. Basically being like, you're mad at yourself for losing to a legion. Still piped.
-
@Masantonio I think you have me confused for someone else. Go outside and be free instead of stalking internet strangers. xD

To check for gen. The second floor that he was in is where Gen usually spawn.
Really? I have never had it spawn in there. Usually in the room on the other side or on the roof. Normally, a totem has been in there.

And what about the inbetween on this end 2 profits where you still get tunneled but not picked up and can’t use DS though?
Have you considered not using DS? Like seriously considered this or are you just so adamant to use it even when it wastes a slot for you?
-
@Boss I got you. Always diffuse a potential argument with a good laugh. Everyone wins. :D
You were too busy beating down on yourself while being frustrated to see it as just venting. It wasn't harmful or anything. In fact, I hope you feel better now.
-
My question is, why did you go so far into that room? To check for a totem? You wouldn't need to be that far in.
-
And because it was a legion, the rest of us legion players will be hit with the ban hammer. Everything is legion's fault if they are so much as suspected to be involved.

Maybe if you read it a little slower you would understand. When the decisive strike timer activates after being unhooked you have like 50 - 60 seconds to get away and heal. If you go down then decisive strike activates and it can be used when the killer picks you up. But most times im looping the killer for like 30 seconds and then go down and the killer leaves me there for like 20 seconds and then picks me up. And by that time the decisive strike timer is done and can’t be used because the killer hasn’t “picked me up” during the timer. He had waited hen extra 20 second season for DS to go away. It shouldn’t be when the killer picks you up it should activate when he downs you instead.
Why so aggressive? The first sentence is like word vomit.
I know how DS works mate, I just didn't understand the issue you're having. Pick something else than. You don't have to play with it. Killers will counter it, because they are allowed to have counterplay. Oh no, I should just pick something else to run from the plethora of perks available to me. I don't even know how it would work on the ground, nor would I care to find out.
-
@Boss Don't feel bad mate. :O You're just venting. It was frustrating when that first started happening to me. Here, have a cookie. I just made them. Or if you have any sort of allergies, I can provide some alternative. Whatever you want. :P
-
I reread this like 20 times and I still don't get what's being said.
-
@Masantonio God damn it. Stop stalking me. xD
I will say that I have kept one particularly salty voice message and a few written ones. I had one where a rank 13 killer messaged me and tried to flex on me before calling me a "sweaty killer main" and blocking me. My friends and I had a good laugh at that one.

You also lose the ability to stalk your marked survivor
I haven't played him. Can someone tell me their experience concerning this part of his ability?
-
Don't rank up (not a problem with some killers). People get super sweaty. Pretty chill in greens and even purple. I suggest finding the killer you enjoy the most and having a playstyle you love. Play the game for you and you'll have fun. Set realistic goals for fun. Especially with people still learning, you can play lazy. Have a good laugh if you or the survivor make a mistake. Don't fall for people baiting you to chase them. Let them follow you and adopt them after the game. Oh, and keep messages/end-game chat off. If there's salt, don't pay it any attention.
Good luck mate. :P
-
Oh my god, yes please. I had that as a kid, such a throw-back. They would be wasting an opportunity to use nostalgia as a business tactic if they don't do this.
-
Like a rebellious teen, Legion fits nowhere. xD
I'd say mid-tier, high if played extremely well otherwise on the lower side. Easy points when you struggle on those malicious/chaser emblems since they do the work for you, but suffers the trade-off towards Gatekeeper with inconsistent pressure. You have to be sweaty if you want to get those pesky survivors off your gens. No time for laziness here.

I envy you. My wait has always been atrocious (solo or swf) and now it's increased. Killer waiting use to be instant and is now around 1-2 minutes (before I gave up because of the stun VFX). There's only so many mobile games I can play and social media I can check before it gets old.

@HatCreature said:
They're taking his best add-ons, the ones that increase Stalk Rate and nerfing it and then they're increasing the detection range while in a chase.
So your best add-ons are now ######### because they can't help you as much and people can break you out even easier than before. I already get knocked out of Stealth behind a wall, I get knocked out of stealth BEHIND COVER, so making it even easier to break me out sounds ludicrous.
What they say is for consistency I see as them dictating how we should be playing. Right now you can Expose people in a chase but the Devs don't like that so they're forcing players to play they want us to play, with leaning. I get that it's to promote the lean because it's faster but there's a difference between promoting and forcing. Pig is the exact same way, the Devs want us to use the Ambush to surprise people but it's super loud and gives you away at the wrong moment, it sucks. Players found that silly so we don't use the Ambush, we found our own way to play. They are taking that decision away from us little by little with these tiny adjustments.
Ghostface is in a good place, reducing his best add-ons and making it easier to break you out is not ''consistency'' it's tweaking a Killer so it's harder to play them and forcing a specific playstyle taking away our choice. You could say it increases the skillcap of the Killer meaning if you get good you'll be rewarded but that's false because they're still making him less effective. ''Here kill this guy with this spoon, if you can do it you're the most badass killer in the world, but remember you have to slit his throat with it'' The dude looks at his wooden spoon and though he agrees that it'll be a triumph it really does suck he has to do it this way, it would be a lot easier to stab it in his eye and spin it like a corkscrew.
From a survivor standpoint, I agree with breaking him out. Also a console user. Wondering if maybe latency is making that bug worse for us? Like I'm breaking him and he ducks behind a wall but I still get it on him even when he isn't in the sweet spot (and I had a huge delay there)? And I mean that's pretty ######### and feels dirty. I've also had the standing out in the open and looking at him but he doesn't break thing and been insta-downed. Like he would be so much fun to play against if he just worked right on both sides. Aiming is easy, it's just that it doesn't register right consistently.
I'm not sure how I feel about the hotfix, but it has been giving me legion ptsd. I think the numbers should always be re-evaluated after seeing how it plays out in practice. The FOV thing isn't necessary if they fixed the consistency issue. I forget the other details.

yet when the Leion Mend bug was found, devs made public post stating: "we will use internal data to see who runs it and ban them no need to report them"
double standard anyone?
At least let us legion players sign an extra contract since we get the 'special' treatment. Just because you don't like legion doesn't mean you should punish the players. (I know some/most of those were justified)

just because someone hides in the basement locker while the rest of team dies doesnt mean the person should escape.
hatch should be something that takes skill, not letting your team die while you crouch against the wall which is what most do.
Killers dont expect 4k every game, but survivors surely expect to escape thats for sure.
Not to mention hatch opens even if they dont do a single generator now LUL
People use to evade around before with two gens and not touch one.
Why are you concerned with that random Nea hiding in the basement? If you care to watch the game for the killer build, just leave it on and do something else. If you aren't, then move on to the next game. I'd like to know how you know what I'm doing 24/7 in a match. Just because gens aren't popping doesn't mean I'm not getting chased/cleansing/saving/going to a gen/actually on a gen but was just chased(or saved).

@Masantonio I mean, I was the same growing up.
But you could still go out and play with sticks or something. xD
-
Since when does a "stealthy" killer have some sounds in stealth mode that the survivors know where they come from?
All "stealth" killers have some sort of noise to alert survivors. I find Myer's heavy breathing pretty telling. Pig's roar with charge time is weak enough to get away without sprint burst since you can hear the direction it comes from. Wraith can still be seen if you can't hear his stomping (how he does that with small feet is a mystery). Stealth just isn't a good mechanic in general for DbD. You're just noticing it in the killers because it's so obvious.

I would like to have one generator repaired, maybe give survivors a buff so they can repair faster and then the hatch can spawn. If you are playing one of the slower killers chances are very high the survivor escapes while you are checking the other gate. I know you are not supposed to get a 4k always, but I think it's just a little bit unfair on the killer side to make escaping so easy for the last survivor. Even though I have to say that I find that pretty useful if I play survivor to be able to escape right away without doing anything.
Depending on door rng, it's more likely killer-favored. People are complaining about how they spawn the same side of the map. Unless it's a big map, you can pressure the survivor off the gate before it fully opens as a slower killer. Only thing that needs looking at is door rng. And god forbid the hatch spawns right in front of a door.

It's very helpful for solos. If your team was lackluster and you had two gens to do solo, you pretty much just gave up and accepted death. Same case if it was just one. It still isn't a buff towards survivors since the Killer can still find and close it. Then it just goes down to door spawns and evading while still being speedy.

Thank you for fueling my nightmares. xD
