  • Just go over them like you did with your perks.

That's it. Just make sure the names aren't visible.

If you aren't near a single pallet or vault and a chainsaw killer gets up right beside you then no it's not bullsh*t you are way out of ######### position and you deserved to be downed

Oh, but I was. And they still held the chainsaw. All around the place.

They could have downed me 3 times over with the hammer but no.

Do not start with me on this. It will not end well for either of us.

  • It's not the killer that's the problem, it's how they're used.

Like, seriously. Rubbing against someone with a chainsaw is just unfair and unfun. And saying that I'm "out of position" is just bullsh*t. Holding a chainsaw for THAT LONG isn't any measure of skill or error.

Same goes for Hags who trap-camp. It's LAZY and dumb.

So, yeah. All killers are fair base, but certain add-ons and perk combinations just make them stupid to go against.

  • Well, the problem is that anyone above green ranks can make the game go pretty quickly.

That being said, I do prefer a drawn-out game.

Also, names. You need to cover them up. Rule of the forums and all that.

  • It's not that they don't have empathy. It's just really hard to show in this game.

And I'd say that killers are worse in the lacking of empathy debate, considering the amount of threads on here encouraging camping and tunnelling when they are in fact just dick moves and literally ruin games.

Not to mention that Empathy isn't that great of a perk. Bond is just better.

If I'm to be honest here, and based on my observations of this thread - You're the one who's taking things a bit too literal and assuming / jumping to conclusions that, despite other's saying that THEY like to play fairly/nice/wholesome, that you think they're saying "you play by my rules". I don't see this as the case at all. People play how they want, you can't really control that aside from what rules may exist.

I honestly feel like you're the one passing judgment on people way too quickly.

But overall, I think it's better to keep the "I'm nice until I feel like I've been wronged" mentality. That's my mentality while playing at least.

As both a killer and survivor, I'm generally wholesome until I feel like I've been wronged.

    That being said ...

As a killer: I don't camp, I don't tunnel, I don't smack people on hooks, I don't nod / BM - Unless I feel like the survivor was an ass to me.

As a survivor: I don't use flashlights at all, I never tbag, I never point at the killer, I don't even run "crutch perks" - Unless I feel I was wronged.

Why? Because "that's how everyone should play"?? No, absolutely not. It's because that's how I want to play and how I like to play.

I'm a very casual gamer who simply wants to have fun and enjoy myself. Being an Internet troll is not at all enjoyable to me.

Also, @PigMainClaudette if I ever see you as my killer, can I boop your snoot? <3

You can try, but I'm likely to boop back.

So you're not demanding it, but you'll call them toxic dicks if they don't play the way you want.

    Mutual respect, indeed.

Yeah. You don't be a dickhead to me, I'm not to you. You be an absolute tool to me, and you get called out for being a terrible person by ASKING WHY you're a terrible person.

When it comes to dealing with me, I reciprocate the respect shown to me. It's not hard to understand. Treat others how you wish to be treated and all that.

  • @Bovinity said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1288341#Comment_1288341

"Toxic" is demanding that others play the way you want. Again, how survivors don't understand this is mind-boggling to me.

There's literally no other game I can think of where this is SO pervasive. Where one group of players demands that another group plays the way THEY want, and the on top of that has the nerve to call THEM toxic if they don't abide.

And that's why I don't DEMAND anything. All I ever say to campers, tunnellers and all those other toxic types is "I wasn't a dick to you, so why are you one to me?" simply put, I don't show any signs of toxicity to anyone in game and all I expect is that people do the same.

It's called mutual respect and I wish that more people in this day and age used it.

  • @Bovinity said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1288296#Comment_1288296

    No. That's bull.

You DID play the game. You lost fast. "Did I play the game?" is not predicated on time spent in that game.

If I start a round of CS:GO and walk out in the open and get AWPed right away, I wasn't "stopped from playing the game", I just lost right away. Why is this concept so hard to understand for survivors? Killers are not under any obligation to go easy on you. It's not their job to "make it fun" for you. Nor is it yours to "make it fun" for them. (And when does a killer EVER ask for that, anyway?)

Seriously, just go play KYF if it's important to you guys to have long games with lots of "fun" or something.

Did I? I spent a lot of time looking with a camera, basically being a passive observer in a match for about a 10th of the time I spent searching for a game.

    How is THAT playing?

I say the same thing about getting spawn-peaked in Rainbow Six: Siege. You don't "play the game" if you're killed early off. That's how I see it, and that's how I will say it.

And I play both sides, so don't give me that crap about one side or the other. It's in my name for a reason. I never said that the killer's job is to make the game fun for survivors, only that being deleted super early is not playing the game, in the sense of there was very little time spent in game and even less interaction with other players in the game. Part of the reason I despise Hillbilly and people who rely on his saw. There is no chase, there is no interraction.

I've had better games with only one or two kills than a 4k. I don't care if the last one gets hatch.

Maybe both sides should also respect each other so that we can still have a consistent and less toxic playerbase, but hey. You do you.

  • Bit annoying that there wasn't really an option for BOTH/NEITHER preference on side, since I play both. If you can work out which survey data was mine, I did pick Survivor and the 3 I selected are Claudette, Yui and Kate.

For killers, I play Pig, Doctor and Legion.

Preference in playstyles could also add to the opinion of types of people drawn to the game. I prefer the stealth playstyle, rather than a confrontational runner or chase killer.

  • Kills aren't everything. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is more to this game than seeing 4 skulls on an end screen. Ever noticed in horror how killers tend to play with their victims and scare them before killing them? And before some genius mentions Jason or Myers, that's Slasher and that's a different genre. True HORROR characters don't kill immediately unless they're a mindless animal like the Xenomorph.

This is shown in the Emblem system too! Look at the medal for Malicious, which is based around HURTING survivors, not outright killing them. Or Gatekeeper that's all about forcing them off generators and stalling out the game.

'I deserve to play until I decide if I lose or not'. The motto of every entitled Survivor sniveling and whining for punishments to camping and slugging.

'It should be MY decision if I die! I totally would not decide to never lose, guys! It's balanced!'

    @Bovinity said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1288207#Comment_1288207

You weren't prevented from playing, you played and lost. Why is it so hard for survivors to understand this?

"vAlVe ######### a GuY oN tHe OtHeR tEaM sHoT mE, hE's KeEpInG mE fRoM pLaYiNg"

I know you think the game revolves solely around you, but there's a human on the other side of the game, too.

And to put it in perspective, waiting 20 minutes for a game only to be camped/tunnelled/mori'd and overall deleted within 2 minutes is not playing the game. Sitting on a hook for 80% of my time in a match is not playing the game. THAT is what I think @LetsPlayTogether was trying to say.

When I die, I want it to be because I was purely outplayed. Not because the killer didn't want to put in the slightest bit of effort.

  • People get annoyed by Doctor because he is DESIGNED to be annoying. And to be honest? It works great.

I even prefer going against Doctors because I find them easy enough to deal with, since he's a predictable killer.

  • Autodidact, Botany Knowledge, Self-Care, Empathy.

    Literally only heal.

Lithe, Dance With Me, Quick and Quiet, Windows of Opportunity/Resilience/Spine Chill.

Ninja vanish. Windows if you can't find vaults, Resilience of Spine Chill if you want faster vaults.

  • Yeah, uh. That thing you did on the final generator?

    More of that.

Early game you were spotted WAY TOO easily and traded out more than you should. Wait for them to full-on ditch the area THEN go for the save.

Spine Chill is also a pretty staple perk for a Blendette, especially when combined with Sprint Burst so you can just leave an area before the killer reaches you.

  • Darker clothes certainly help against killers, but it depends on their screen type.

I recently went to a high-def LED LCD tv, and Claudette's jacket went from brown to red-brown. Easier to spot. Like, a LOT easier to spot.

Also, a good set of headphones is fantastic at finding people like Jane since I can hear her from half a map away without Stridor and I've picked up in killer sounds that people in the room haven't on the TV.

  • I use a lot of crouch with Pig, so I don't need the M&A/Whispers combo.

I run BBq, Nurse's, Ruin and Surveillance.

  • Hillbilly, Bubba and Hag.

Hur hur chainsaw go brrrrrrrrr. And 99% of the time, imma be camped by a Hag.

  • @Dead_by_Gadfly said:

Thats simply not true. And im pretty sure you know its not true

Camping promotes gen-rushing, and everyone tells survivors to do generators if the killer is camping.

What @Deadman316 should have said is that there would be LESS gen-rushing if killers didn't camp.

  • Honestly though, why 6? Will there also be an 8th generator that now spawns so that killers can't just camp 2 generators and be guaranteed a free 4k? Aren't SWAT SWF Hit-squads just going to power through this anyway? How will gen-protector killers (SUCH AS MYSELF!) react to having to protect another generator?

These are all questions that have to be asked when proposing an idea like this.

There's nothing that can truly be done about gen-rushing. I've even fell victim to it as a survivor, playing in solo. Generators pop quickly and I go "OH SH*T! I'd better go and get some Lightbringer emblem!" and do a generator myself and contribute to the problem, when I have more fun trying to stealth around killers.

As it stands, 5 generators is also a decent number, since it is 4 survivors who can do one each, then work on the last one together. There are also seven generators that spawn into a match, which is why we can have the infamous 3-gen to halt stupid teams. They also spread out the requirements for survivors to escape to across the whole map. If survivors have to do a 6th, and an 8th generator is added, it'd be easy to ignore an entire quarter of the map, making killers such as Hag and Trapper virtually useless, since that's where their strength lies. Survivors will just make it so that they have two in one corner, and one on the other side of the map, not unlike they do now but it will be even harder for them to control and navigate.

This won't be a buff to killers, it'll be a further increase to the power of a fully coordinated SWF squad compared to solo as well as high-mobility killers to low-mobility and trap killers.

  • All killers have the same lunge and if @DelsKibara is on Xbox, I'll even devote a whole day to proving they're all the same.

I also love how all of these threads are about FREDDY's lunge, yet there are killers like Pig or Hag who could also be considered to have ridiculous lunge ranges.

  • Teammates feeding Myers, then getting murdered by him from a nanosecond of stalk.

  • Hatch is a necessary evil and it also gives way to one of the greatest elements within horror to create fear: Hope. When hope is gone, there can be no fear. Only dread.

Also, under the old system of 1+Living Survivors complete generators for hatch with no closing it, if my team has only one generator or even zero with me nowhere near completing enough to open it, then all I'm really going to do is just give myself up, or just hide for as long as possible. There is no point in doing generators then. At least the current system gives me a reason to move about, and if the killer closes the hatch, I have the gates to go for.

  • For it to be considered a viable perk, then it needs to have dead survivors affect it too. As it stands, it's more if a psychological effect than a mechanical one. I don't like to stay injured, so I hate seeing those red little skulls.

  • Well, this is why I say MOST killers only care about a 4k.

As a Survivor, as long as I played well, I don't care if I died. As a Killer, I'm generally fine with a 2k and don't care about a 3k with hatch.

While I tend to follow the emblem system to gage how well I did in a match, I don't need a set of skulls or running stick people to make me feel good about my performance.

  • For me personally, it comes from paying lots of money to sit in a hook for ages which is NOT WHAT I PAYED FOR. So yeah, if I get camped, I'mm going to be mad.

  • Well, here's my top 3. Bit of a surprising bunch.

Pig - Hex: Ruin, Surveillance, A Nurse's Calling and BBq & Chilli.

Preferred add-ons are John's Medical File, Combat Straps and/or Video Tape.

Doctor - Hex: Ruin, Surveillance, Whispers, Distressing.

Preferred add-ons are Calm and Order.

Legion - Monitor & Abuse, BBq & Chilli, Hex: Ruin, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt

Preferred add-ons are increased Killer Instinct detection and Feral Frenzy duration.

I personally would rather not have the game reach that point if I could as a Killer.

Because that means they're close to winning, and if I haven't killed anyone by then I'm not performing well.

Personally, and I know this is just me personally, my best games tend to end with 5 or 4 generators remaining. Not because I am dominating (Dominating just basically means the other side loses without effort from my end), but because they spent all game under my thumb by going for hook saves, going for slugged saves, feeling unsafe around generators, etc etc.

If I did lose with 5 or 4 gens remaining though whenever I play Survivor, I just say gg and move on to my next match. I admire a Killer that can keep pressure up to the point where no gens gets done. So, giving them props is just a given.

Eh. If I get a good Pig mojo going, then those generators didn't go by quickly and at that point I've spent 70% of my time crouched. That last generator that went off has also lead me to the last survivor (or second last, leading to endgame) and I've probably set up a 3-gen. I can also easily do this as Doctor, with his large amount of detection.

4/5 Gen wins are ok at times, but honestly just smashing a group doesn't feel that great after a while. I've even slowed down games and let the last one or two get a generator, just because they deserve a little something. And if someone has DC'd, leading to that outcome, the last person gets out. If anyone DC's then I let at least one person go. It's just not fair on the rest of them.

  • GG.

To which I normally reply "No, not really." and get called salty. I'm not wrong though, it wasn't a good game. It SUCKED on the survivor's side, and to be honest, they do feel pretty good as killer, but I actually prefer when they get down to 1 or 2 gens left to finish, and this is coming from a Pig who plays specifically for the stall.

  • Funny thing is that I find the Survivor ones easier to do largely, outside of some perk challenges or some Master challenges. Killer ones I can consistently get done, but they take longer and some of their Master challenges are WAY harder. "2 Kills in ECG with NoED" comes to mind because the game either A) Doesn't get anywhere NEAR that point and B) I absolutely despise the perk and refuse to use it. Same with 2 Kills in ECG challenge, because I never get there and if I do, then everyone's already going to escape.

I haven't attempted the Unrelenting one because I have better perks, and I cannot justify putting it into any of my current killer builds, haven't done half the Spirit ones because going back to Spirit after playing way more 115 killers takes me a few games to get used to again, no Huntress because console and aiming........

While I do hate that a lot of the Master challenges rely on teammates and their performance, some of them are also just brutal to get. Sometimes I contribute to the gen-rush issue, because I hear 2 gens pop together, a third one goes quickly as I'm still cleansing a second totem and go "DAMN IT! Now I have to do some generators for Lightbringer!" so there's no chance that I'll get the 4 Gens with Dark Sense challenge outside of the dreaded 4-man SWF. I also don't camp, but I'm also not the type of killer who runs into the opposite corner, and I do get moving to find other survivors so ones like "4 Kills in the Basement" Master are going to be a coordinated farm game that leads into the survivors graciously giving me their lives in exchange.

So yeah, I tend to clear through Survivor challenges easier than Killer, but I get the basic Killer challenges done faster per challenge. Knock down 10 survivors? Easy. I normally do about 15 in a match. Escape 4 times? Doable in a night, but depends on a lot more factors.

You can cancel their healing by running. Its been implemented extra for those situations. Usually its better to heal at a safe place. Healing under the hook is a death invite, unless you see the killer is chasing another survivor far away and unlikely to return. If you hear terrorradius while healing under the hook, you are already dead.

Btw im a selfcare user too, no need to justify it. Selfcare + Botany is a super efficient combo. Its all about when to heal and priorities.

I didn't know that you could cancel it in that way. And people tend to hate Self-Care. For a time one of my builds was Balanced Landing, Self-Care, Botany Knowledge and Decisive Strike so that I could run and heal back up after. It was pretty effectively actually.

  • @Weederick said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1278733#Comment_1278733

Why blame your teammate in that situation? You are the injured, you choose the place to heal. He's just following you as a healbot. Plan further ahead, how likely is the killer gonna come back. How far will he hear when he patrols back, how far is out of range for nurses calling. Is someone already getting chased, so we can heal under the hook. Or if it comes down to tunneling you, how can i waste the most time and where should i be healing so i can guarantee to make it to a loop.

You will slowly develop a "safe playstyle" this way and become unfavourable to tunnel. Some survivors are so obnoxiously distant at all times, its never worth starting a chase with them. They are usually kept for last and thus not beeing tunneled.

Ummmm, because they held me there by still healing? Why else would I blame them for NOT LETTING ME RUN AWAY. And I am talking about healing under hook mostly. I don't really find many killers who use Nurse's Calling.

Healing under hook is a pretty common strategy, as it's a point where both players know where each other is and it wastes less time. I still run Self-Care for moments where we are separated, though. And, yes, I don't like to stay injured even though my current build has Resilience. I just 99 the healing.

If the unhookers stealths after an unhook, he's basically killing his teammate. If you dont actively take the heat while you're fine, ofc your injured, screaming, bleeding, closer-to-sacrifice teammate is a good target. What do you expect there. If you want to stop tunneling, you have to learn to how to bait after an unhook. Act like a dumbass free hit, spread scratchmarks everywhere, be the first the killers sees, crouchwalk in his LoS and split in a different direction. You gotta act like a tasty snack for the killer, not disappear and complain in the bushes why the killer is tunneling the other guy.

    Yeah, I don't unhook unless it's 90% safe.

I'm talking more about the times where I'm the unlucky guy who gets targeted. It's the reason that I started running DS. There have also been times where a killer is closer than we expect, they're healing me, the killer returns and all of a sudden I'm back on the ground because my teammate can't take an audio hint. It comes back to a question I find myself asking a lot in this game, and that's "why should I be punished for something my idiot team did/didn't do?"

  • If your statement is true, then why does it take me 3 times as long to find a survivor game and why is there an overpopulation of green-ranked killers?

And my brothers wonder why I spent money on the black leather Pig skin...........

Yeah, these skins would look cool, but they'd never get used.

We have found the mythical 4Head that used Ruin for the Gatekeeper Emblem.

    Childish insult. Nice.

I actually use Ruin for it's power, not for an emblem. It works well for me with my gen-protector playstyle, and it also naturally combines well with Surveillance, a perk I've been using since I started playing back in Darkness Among Us. I chase someone off a generator, it regresses, I have now applied pressure and have information.

If you actually took 2 seconds to read a little deeper, then you'll see that my personal playstyle and how I enjoy the game align with the emblem ranking system. I prefer to just perform well, rather than have a series of skulls at the end of a match dictate how I play.

Killers dont have to ,,look harder" just because they see only one. This could lead to a potential loss of the survivor. Its not tunneling just because we only see this guy and didnt look harder.

Yes it is. But if that's how you want to justify it, then go ahead.

And I did say 9/10 times THEY DIDN'T LOOK. It could also be applied to other phrases such as "I couldn't be bothered", but the point is that you were close to a hook, meaning either they're getting farmed, or you're patrolling in the area or a high mobility killer coming back and saw me easily going "Easy target", rather than taking an extra 2 seconds to check the immediate area.

Runners get cocky. They make mistakes over time. Stealth players don't.

Slugging only has value if you can chain a chase. That's the problem with the whole stealthy-unhooker thing: you don't know where they are. Maybe if you're at 4-5 gens then sure, play nice, it's a dick move to kill someone off before the ball gets rolling although it's still understandable given the state of the game. My cuttoff is usually 2-3 gens, after that the kiddy gloves are off and I'm going to punish mistakes as best I can. If someone gets hooked twice in a minute then that sucks, but momentum is momentum and there's 3 people out there that could have been a team player and taken the heat. I do it all the time as survivor, but admitedly I also end up as the martyr half the time so I guess I understand why people dont trust their fellow solo's.

And I just have to say, if you are getting 10 hooks as anything but the strongest killers and strongest builds against decent survivors, you are extremely lucky. It's just basic maths at that point: assuming a very generous hook per minute, that's still a lot of gen time.

Pig main. I don't have to worry about a lot. RBT's basically remove a survivor from the game, and I don't get very high in terms of rank (hovering around green), but I have versed reds and purples before the latest reset. If one has an RBT, and another is slugged, I now have HUGE potential as I have two people to worry about. That's just how I play.

  • @MadLordJack said:

If the killer runs back to the unhook and sees the person just unhooked running away... You are of the opinion they should leave them and go search for the stealthing survivor? Because that is what happens in most of these cases: the unhookee runs away while the unhooker stealths away because they aren't moaning in pain and actually have that option. Or, they run in the opposite direction to the unhookee and you still don't see them first.

If the killer has to look for the unhooker, then they may as well not. It's a time-sink. Better for the unhooker to actively take the heat instead of attempting to stealth, because otherwise why even risk not finding someone when you have a chase right there? That's not even tunelling: there is no other option but give them a free escape. That applies to following scratch marks as well: there's no way of seeing who left what. Often you follow them and start seeing pools of blood, but the only options are to give them a free escape or take the chase.

And the game-ruining thing goes both ways: 12 hooks is impossible. Playing nice is impossible. You have to pressure people, and while it's nice to see someone take the heat for the teammate it's not the killers job to seek that teammate out. That's what we call a five-minute match.

SLUG them. And 12 hooks isn't impossible. Playing nice isn't impossible.

I manage it somehow. Well, maybe 10 hooks because I scare people with stealth.

  • Looking forward to it! I can get my YT/Streamer mate to play and SLAUGHTER HIM RELENTLESSLY.

Reading your posts and comments i belive you play both sides but survivor a bit more.

    Am i correct?

    About 80/20. Maybe less.

I don't play as much killer as I should to keep my rank up, but I really can't be committed to the BP investment for my favourite classes of add-ons. It's also a more stressful experience for me, since my 2 main killers are Pig and Doctor. 3rd would be Legion. I keep this game casual but I can still get pretty competitive. I also don't let my heavy playtime imbalance affect my judgement where possible.

It also helps that I have two brothers who play, use different killers and perks to me and we can bounce ideas. Even if they're wrong by saying that Ghostface is a better Pig.

  • Here's another interesting one for you all (if anybody bothers, since I'm somewhat aware of my reputation):

KILLS ARE NOT EVERYTHING. And with the emblem system in place, it's better to get Merciless Killer as Legion with only one kill, than to get a straight up 4k with an instant-down killer and get Brutal Killer. You are better off slowing down the game wherever possible and torturing survivors with a combination of small amounts of slugging, hit and run to keep everyone injured, kicking gens to activate regression and it is (at least for me) way more fun.

  • THEY are extremely entitled and up themselves for playing terribly and getting lucky with the hatch.

YOU are being extremely entitled by using the leniency and silver spoons line.

This is not the devs' fault. The hatch mechanic is designed so that there is hope for survivors who have had a bad game, and to not just guarantee death by being the last one standing. It was changed so the "hatch standoff" no longer occurred. It is FINE in it's current iteration. Yes, they are a terrible teammate and what they said to you is unacceptable, but they're trying to get under your skin and it's clearly worked.

I am in this forum daily and countless posts start with "I play both..." followed by a very one sided opinion. Usually in the vein that fits their avatar. From someone who often gives 1 sided opinions. It's not slick. I play both too, but I'm not kidding myself that I'm not a survivor main and my opinions are positioned as such. And the vast majority of ppl have a preference in the same way. But nice try. 👍

Wonder how I fit into that then, since I do play more survivor than killer, but have a name that encompasses both, with a killer avatar. I must be the exception then.

What? So if you use m2 on Billy you're garbage? Wow, guess using M1 on Billy is the new meta, thank you bud, no SWF will touch me now

Yeah, and how many did you get by holding your chainsaw directly next to their ass? Read my later posts.

There are SKILLFUL uses of the chainsaw, and then there's the way that is just "Chainsaw goes brrrrrrrrr".

If survivors are having a problem with being tunnelled then they should either get better at running or work on their stealth. If you are in a chase with the killer most of your games, there is no way you didn't learn something that could improve your chase. Sometimes you are found first and it sucks, but that is just luck. I highly doubt anyone could be eliminated from the game in less than 3-5 minutes unless your team had some hardcore hook farming going on in which case the blame is on your team. As far as the "I only saw you" part, that is exactly what happens. Why go look for someone and waste time when time is already against you and a survivor has run right towards you in your line of sight? I am not out to ruin anyone's game, but I will also not slug them and allow them to get back up unless I think they could have decisive. The job of the killer is to kill, not down the survivor and have them get back up because they were upset they died too fast. As far as my statement went, I said that you paid for the game and you should play it how you want. It had nothing to do with enjoyment originally. But yes, you should enjoy it. The problem is that everyone has different ideas of enjoyment. I enjoy being chased, I don't really care if I die as survivor. Others may not have the same view. While both sides paid for it, so did the other side and they have every right to play how they choose within the rules. Whether or not the other side chooses to deal with it is up to them.

I don't care if I die as a survivor, as long as I die WELL. And I've worked on both stealth AND running but sometimez you just don't get that chance.

I slug them not only to ensure I don't get hit by DS, but also because they aren't my target and it still applies pressure. Easy. They don't hate me, I still kill everyone.

And as I've said before, the names "Survivor" and "Killer" are misleading. Killers are more akin to torturers, and your main goal is protect your generators, rather than go kill-crazy. Survivors are victims, and their main goal is to live as long as they can. The idea that killers should only kill is both narrow-minded and outdated while the emblem system is in effect.

  • People get mad at me when they say GG and I point out how it really wasn't. I get called salty for it, but hey, they camped and tunnelled with an ebony mori, or any combination of those sort of things.

Unless it was a balanced, back-and-forth game with good struggle on either side, I don't bother with a GG. That being said, if I give a GG, it is because it was actually a good game, and I'll normally have a nice comment to go with it.

  • I disagree with the "I only saw you" part, because 9/10 times a killer says that, they didn't look hard enough and you were probably that close to that hook for a reason. Unless you are out to ruin someone's game then, just slug them and move on. It applies just as much pressure and is nowhere near as infuriating.

I can also understand it as a strategy to delete an OoO/Key user because that's just begging for it. But against a normal survivor, especially one who didn't bring an item? Didn't show any signs of toxicity such as teabagging? Any of that?

The person being tunnelled also payed for this game, and they should be given more than the first 30 seconds of a match to play the game they paid for too. That statement works BOTH ways. Neither side is a free game, and if I get camped/tunnelled enough, then I'm going to leave and let the devs know that it is entirely the reason.

  • What's dumb about the Kill ones is that he can TAP the stalk and kill me after harvesting enough Evil from my potato teammates. And I'll lose rank because he did it quickly. I feel like there should be a minimum stalk requirement before he can kill you.

And before anyone else mentions it, he may have got some of his power from me, but nowhere near enough to level up. I was able to dodge him for a good while and break line of sight easily.

  • I find Deathslinger to be fun, but aiming is a bit tricky. Spirit is very powerful, but going to a 110 killer, after playing 115's all day is tricky. Haven't played Plag, but it'd be a more boring version of Legion.

    And I'm an Xbox player.

  • NO. NO RULESET NO. 2 BASE.

It will force survivors onto generators, and that is the exact opposite of what you want. Having most survivors see the aura of the boxes draws them in like a moth to a flame, taking them away from healing, unhooking and doing generators. If a survivor works on a generator with an RBT, they are asking for death. If they flame you for tunnelling because of this, then tell them to remove the trap first.

On the subject of Pig, what add on combination is best for popping heads? So far I've been using Rule Set 2 and Tampered Timer, but Sketch and Gears seem like they'd be useful too. Would be cool to see heads pop more often in my Pig games.

Crate of Gears and Tampered Timer are the popular ones. Annointed Plan can also be very useful, as in the rarer one that DOESN'T give the bonus check time.
