I run it on Doctor to know if my Static Blast will get value. Not a fan of it overall and I'll most likely swap it off when I get something better.

Can't think of lore at the moment, but here are some perks based on some things that I can do.
Learnt From Experience: [The best way to learn something is to get out there and do it. Repeatedly.] Each time you hit a Great result on a skill check, you gain an extra 1% progression. This ability can stack up to 5/10/15 times.
Pass Without Trace: [Despite your hulking frame, you have a tendency to move rather quietly and unnoticed] While standing still or crouching, your breathing and grunts of pain are reduced by 25/50/75% and the killer cannot read your aura while within 10m of you.
Full Force: [Years of martial arts training has taught you how to get the most out of every strike] Whenever you stun the killer, they are stunned for an additional 1/2/3 seconds. This perk has a 30 second cooldown.
I've been doing martial arts for about 10 years at time of post, but having me literally fight a killer and kick Trapper's knee in a direction it was not designed to go wouldn't exactly work within Dead by Daylight, so using the fact that I know how to use my large frame to hit really hard should be a bit easier to balance.
Despite being 6'6", I'm also actually pretty quiet when sneaking up behind someone and just waiting for them to notice, which doesn't happen very often. And survivors don't have a lot of perks that cancel Aura Readings, when Undetectable is handed out to killers like aura reading perks are to survivors.
I'm also a natural problem solver, so having a perk that increased my ability to do things over time for doing them repeatedly seemed appropriate. If you saw some of my early Warhammer 40k miniatures compared to the ones I make now, and also take into account that it is all basically self-taught, with occasional suggestions from others, it really shows.

Since when does camping give you a 4k?
When survivors hurtle themselves in one at a time, or they don't completely gen-rush you and try to get the hooked one.
It was more of a general stab at killers who prioritise kills and ONLY play for kills, even if it means taking literally all the fun out of the game.
-
This is weird.
First I shave slightly and everybody at work tells me it looks amazing and now this.
Normally I just get comments about my height and questioned on if I play basketball. 6'6" isn't THAT impressive and no. I prefer my karate and kickboxing.

i dont camp but i dont care for pips or bloodpoints. When i play killer, i play to kill them and theres nothing wrong with it.
To a degree, I do too and there's nothing wrong with playing an honest game for kills. It's when kills only matter and you go put of your way to ruin the experience of others just for a kill that I take issue.
Slugging is a good example. 1 on hook, 1 in the dirt? Perfectly fine and tactical. 4 down? That's taking it too far.

Yes it is timer based but if I'm not mistaken it has an upper limit of where you can get with it. and also that 1 kill pushing it to 9 hooks transforms the bronze into a silver, if I were you I would have led with that point.
Point is that for a majority of ranks, you CAN pip without kills. It isn't exactly simple, but doable.

What rank are you? red ranks can't pip if nobody dies and gens get done.
Actual rank? Or the one shown on screen? I've kinda neglected killer lately in favour of other games, and I'm barely maintaining my survivor rank as is.

Oh yeah, when I was thinking how the highest devout you could get was bronze with 8 hooks I wasnt even thinking of the fact you're basically ######### in gatekeeper too if everyone is going to survive.
Gatekeeper is also timer based, so if you stall long enough, you should still get a good emblem.
It is all largely theoretical, but I have double-pipped in games off a single kill at lower ranks.

Well, my opponents don't seem to care about my fun when I'm playing killer, thanks to ######### MM I get demolished then called a racial slur for my trouble by four other players. I think it's about time both parties have a clear and updated discussion on the honor codes killers must follow when playing the game or perhaps discuss changes to the game, I think that works better than the constant shaming in the forums. Your issue is with the unclear and weird winning conditions in the game, not killers.
Close, but no. MY issue is with the community's perception of a win and value in certain actions.
Part of an ill-defined win condition, but not the whole issue.

For some people, yes. I've always been more of the type to follow the pip system as a judgement of how well I did.
I couldn't care less if I died, as long as I played well. It's about HOW not IF.

Each killer has a canonical height, but for the sake of gameplay, they all have in game heights determined by their size category.

Clearly you are doing something that warrants a big fat facecamp. Blendette?
Yeah, because face-camping is SOOOOOO much fun.
When I play killer, I prefer to think of it as being a hunter. I prefer the hunt, I prefer the chase, I find the kill to be a reward for doing repeatedly well on a chase.
I expect nothing from this game, so take your entitlement and shove it somewhere else.

1 how do you 'easily pip without a single kill?
2 why even bother bringing up if you can pip a different way when facecamping is actively going to hurt your chance of pipping?
1) Play Legion for starters. Slow the game as much as possible, and get 8 hooks with 2 on each survivor.
2) There are SO MANY killers who focus more on kills than actually playing the game of pips.

Console players seem way more eager to do the crouchy-crouchy-clicky-clicky after they perform any action at all, which is kind of weird. Other than that, they're really bad at 360s and don't look behind themselves very often.
I do notice they tend to run DS/unbreakable more often, but not so often that it's rampant or anything.
Flashlights are obnoxious to use on Xbox for me, and there seems to be quite a few tunnellers and sluggers. Call them "necessary evils" at this point.

Yeah, it's a nightmare but ThEiR job Is To KiLl. People can easily pip without a single kill, but those 4 skulls at the end screen are apparently more important than actual fun.

I just feel like prestige is pretty useless. Sure, it's supposed to boost rarer items on the Bloodweb, but to grind through 150 Webs is a grind and then some. I only did it the once for the trophy and after that, everyone just stayed at base 50.
Ironically for some killers, the rarer add-ons are just pure garbage.

Console gamers are super casual sitting on the couch without headphones etc.
PC gamers are in front of the monitor sweating their butts off 😳
Yeah, I have headphones because they are such a life saver and you can't use party chat without them.
But it is way more casual. Most console gamers have the mindset of "it's just a game." and I also tend to take things slowly and more deliberate because of how slow something like turning is.
That being said, I still feed off the energy of the other players. Had a Ghostface last night who tried to tunnel me early, so I ran like there was no tomorrow, bodyblocked a Myers halfway across the Asylum to prevent him tunnelling a friend in the endgame and ran a Wraith in all of ECG to avoid being hit to spite him.
-
Hyped? I've always been cautiously optimistic. The only ones that I have been hyped for are Oni and Pyramid Head, but then again I started in Darkness Among Us.
I've also heard rumours that the PTB version of the Blight is outdated. From what I've seen of him from others, he looks like he was designed closer to what DbD originally was. Not that his power's bad, but it seems so outdated compared to everything else we have.
-
She annoys me to no end. Majority of Hag players use her as a glorified camper, and there is no argument of "defensive killer" that you can bring about her that will make me feel any different.
Occasionally when you get the rare Hag that doesn't place 5 traps directly at my feet, she can be pretty good for a jumpscare, provided you also aren't using something like a scroll-wheel or macro to teleport and hit instantly, cancelling any noises the trap may make.
Yes this happened to me, no it hasn't happened before now as I'm on Xbox. No I do not know how PC controls work and I don't care.

"can we get a kill your teammate by vote option or something?"
Do you have any idea how a 3 man SWF could easily exploit this if they are a bunch of pricks who only care about themselves? This in itself would create an awful change for Solo's
Experienced that WAY too much in solo Siege. Plz no.

They'll allow that option about 6 months after it release. Just enough time for people to cave and start playing anew.
Well the Series X is already confirmed to have no launch exclusives from what I've been told so there's no point in rushing into it.

If I can retain all of my progress and DLC's, then I'm cool with moving over to the series X after prices lower and some new games come out for it.

If you know how to play her, Pig is legitimately the best counter to the "second chance meta" and deserves some buffs.

I know, and a long time ago I played survivor just to know my enemy you know. Just to understand that psychological part so I can play better against them.
A lot of toxicity is not good at all but hey, I always know I performed well when I got a ruthless/merciless and people want me to die in the end game chat :DDDD, and they call me "tunneler and camper".
When that happens, you played well HAHAHAH (of course, if you got a brutal killer or less maybe what they are saying is real).
Funny thing is that as a decent Pig player, I can easily disprove ANY of those claims of tunnelling and camping by pointing out that anyone with an RBT got slugged at worst, and only if I ran into them much later.
But, yeah. Playing both sides does help out by getting into the mindset of both types of players and gives you a better understanding of the game.
-
@sad_killer_main said:

I know that this game is toxic as hell in that respect, and that we need to fix it, but hey, it's part of the fun.
I ######### on them, and they ######### on me.
Yeah, this game is Survivors vs. Killers at it's core, but we also NEED each other. And that is part of the reason that I play both.
Without one side, we cannot have the other. Cooperation and not tearing at each other's throats is somehow better for us and for the game's health.
-
Well, I don't really run them all together, usually only Ruin or Pop. But for Ruin on Pig, it's a case of I need SOME stall until I can get my RBT's going.

Exactly. Playing her optimally means no tunneling, so no d's. So no d's, plus the slowdown, plus ambush at loops...Whats not to like lmao
AND PEOPLE SAY THAT NOT TUNNELLING IS INEFFICIENT!
Oh, man. We need more good Pig players to appear so that they can completely shake up the meta.

I play her to slow down the game and ambush at loops. Never lost a game with her. You want to ignore trapped people. They aren't doing gens.
Oh, I am well aware and I spread that message everywhere.
Her stall is unparalleled and is the biggest draw to her as a character for me. One advantage of this stall as well that I see is that I never get hit by DS because of how I swap targets and slow the game so much.

That’s sort of a silly argument considering PC players purposefully picked the PC in order NOT to have to use a controller... you act like this is some intrinsic thing people are born with: a controller attached to some people’s hands and a keyboard mouse on others.
You chose to play this game on a controller.
Im in no way saying we should treat anyone poorly. Only that you picked the use of a controller. Not someone else.
How is it a silly argument and implying that people are "born" with one or the other when all I am doing is daring PC elitists to put their money where their mouth is and prove they're better with literally the same hardware?
If these PC "gods" are so good, then they obviously don't NEED m&kb, right? It is literally a "put up, or shut up" challenge to them.
I've had quite a few PC players rave about m&kb, and say stupid things like X rank is equivelant of Y rank on PC. Like to see how well THEY do in my position.

I've seen more PC hate on console than the reverse, I am aware that there are PC players who do indeed use controllers, and I said the ELITISTS as they are usually the type to shun the humble controller.

Sitting and holding M1 5 times is more interesting then finding parts to repair a phone, car, and boat, while also having to make it to the police. How is that not more interesting then holding a single button for over a minute?
Like I said earlier, I never get to that point. And with DbS's generators, I only care about them when a skill-check appears.

You didn't get my point, someone's already been downed at the exit gates, if another surv starts healing them you cannot pick them up. Hit their friend and it's a free escape for both of them, which just happened to me 2 minutes ago.
Point still remains the same. If you do it fast enough, the one healing will run out and you can get your grab, worst happens and you get both down of they decide to tank or you get a trade.
-
Benevolence is a shared emblem, and depending on how well the killer did, they may not have enough to get a pip.
Just run at them and force them out.
-
Killers underestimate the power of hope and its effect on survivors.
If you kill the 3rd survivor, then the last one is basically guaranteed to start RUNNING to find the hatch. They leave scratch marks. They make noise. They panic. When people panic, they make mistakes.
Survivors (or at least console players from my experience) are particularly cautious during this hatch hunt, and are unlikely to do much if they catch a whiff of the killer. Know this and travel with confidence. Either you will find the hatch and force gates, or the survivor gets lucky and escapes.
Heed my words and learn, fellow killers. Hope is the most powerful element within fear, and without it only dread remains. When there is dread, there is no fun. Give survivors hope, then snatch it away when they reach out for it.
-
Sounds like you need a bit more life into your commentary, as you sound a little bit flat. It's a problem that a lot of people new to Youtube and streaming have. Myself included.

Because of the way a lot of pigs play
- You get downed once

- Pig follows you around just enough to zone you away from the boxes so as to waste away the timer
- Die because a timer ran out
And if thats not the case, then you end up getting ######### over not picking the right box, now you've wasted 5 minutes of your teams time and might still die, especially if you bump into the pig again.
Nobody in their right mind is calling pig OP, she's just annoying how people choose to play her.
It actually pains me to see that this is the experience that you guys have against my beloved Piggy. Ironically that's also the worst way to play her.
Unfortunately I don't have any recorded gameplay of how I play Pig, but if I did then I would link that for you.

I have used a controller and my game play dropped dramatically.. The problem between PC and Console gamers aside from the 30 vs 60+ fps is that PC players are able to do a lot more control wise, than a controller user can. We have macros for struggling, we can moonwalk, we can 360 and it's a lot easier to run while looking behind us in chase.
Some PC players just fail to realize that console gamers have to play with a completely different mindset, due to their limitations. The main thing i've seen when it comes to console players is that they're a lot more "careful"? They tend to crouch around the map more than PC players would and when a killer is around, they are hesitant to rush in to try and go for a save.
Yeah, console has always been more deliberate because we can't just flick a mouse everywhere. Amount of control is debatable because PC can in essence be limited to 8 cardinal directions, where as a joystick has full omni-directional control. Console killers can also still moonwalk, but again flicking a mouse for aim.
Frames can be easy enough to deal with, and they have honestly never been that much of a game-changer for me except for atrocious lag spikes that can be attributed more to the Australian NBN than a console limitation.
If you practice a bit more with a controller, the gap in skill from learning the new control scheme should lessen at worst or disappear outright. My only singular complaint with using a controller is that on Xbox there are so many actions that are mapped to the right bumper, or RB, and it's really annoying when I want to heal someone under a pallet and accidentally throw it down because I was still moving for half a second.
-
Like: The game.
Dislike: A good portion of the community.
I get that there is the competitive element, but we are all playing the same game, so I don't see why people devote their entire playtime to screwing over every other player. This game is already hard enough for BOTH sides before you add face-camping, hardcore tunnelling, 4-man slugging, Decisive Strike abuse, 2nd chance perk stacking, SWF hit-squads and total gen-rushing.
-
This has been a long-standing thing for years. Using a controller and using a mouse & keyboard are completely different skill-sets.
One thing that I would like to see these PC elitists do is actually pick up a controller, plug it into their PC's and see how well THEY do.
I've been playing console for 18 years, and I've never seen so much prejudice towards console users. I mean, we're all gamers and we have enough sh*t to deal with externally. I don't see why we now need to divide OURSELVES further.

that's just noob problems. It's quite easy to escape in F13. I'm also literally laughing that you think generators are somehow more compelling Nathan a variety of interesting, multi-faceted objectives and escape methods.
Ah, yes the inevitable "just git gud".
It's not that one objective is better than the other, it's more of a feeling that one of the objectives is in my control.
Also the fact that there is very little to no chance for recovery in F13, but there is in Dead by Daylight. I can go to second stage hook on my first one, and being the first one hooked early on and still escape. In F13, I'm found and I die. Might be because I generally played the stealthy one. I think it was AJ, considering my proficiency with Claudette.
