Literally nobody has ever said that killers are bots and they don’t deserve to have fun. Thanks for continuing to add to the stigma these forums already have about it being a cesspool for crying killer main players.
Having fun doesn’t mean generators aren't being completed. I play killer and I often win with 1 gen left. Should I start complaining that everyone is dead at 1 gen and not 5?
It’s very rare that an instance like the one described in OP happens unless you are overcomitting to your first chase and get bad map RNG. It happens, but when it does you have to look at the whole spectrum of things taking place. One of them being your own skill or lack there of. Map and perks play a part in it as well.
I dunno what games you've played previously but...I'm gonna come out and say, this isn't normal. You can call it crying or whatever you want but in normal games things that are as broken as what the op is talking about among the myriad of other things we have to deal with in this game. Isn't normal. It shouldn't feel normal. And there should be no reason to get at other players because the devs leave mechanics in that can cause people to think the game is one sided. The fact that its gotten to the point where someone would make the kind of post you're responding too says ENOUGH!

It has nothing to do with being nice. It is just the way that I'm used to playing and what has worked for me. But obviously it isn't working anymore so I changed it up. I don't believe that anyone owes me for playing the way I play, but I'm also sick of having game after game of getting every build snuffed out while people sit there smug at the end game
I look at it this way, if the devs wanted you to play fairly, they'd have balanced the game so that those ideals of not camping or tunneling work in your favor. But since they don't. Just consider it the devs way of saying that you need to do exactly that.
So if anyone complains about your camping, tunneling, unfair play, etc etc. Just say, "Devs made me do it". Problem solved.
Don't let people guilt trip you over it. Cause at this point, its the best way to play.
As a pig main my kit is set up where I would actually benefit from the survivor rule set. But honestly....######### em. Do what you wanna do.

Similar to Overwatch, I think that an endorsement system would reduce toxicity.
- Killers would be able to chose up to 2 survivors to give them +50% total BP each at the end of the match. It would be optional, if the killer feels like the whole team was toxic, he or she can keep his endorsements.
- As for survivors, they would be able to give the killer +25% BP each. Again, it's optional.
- At the end of the week, you get extra BP depending of the level of endorsement you have (the more endorsements you have, the higher is your level).
This would be a great idea, if the core reason why people were toxic to begin with wasn't present. If the mechanics of the game were more solid and less restrictive of skill, and the core gameplay loop was flawless. You wouldn't need to implement systems to reduce toxicity because being toxic becomes an afterthought.

Played Sifu alot on my break on DBD. Sifu basically discusses Wude which is the practice of letting an opponent know that you could defeat them handily, but allowing them to live as a mercy.
These are example Matches that I am having fun as a Killer

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/X8S1SDXZ97YA/image.png
Coming back from DBD from a long break (Pre SBMM I had a 80% Kill Rate as a Killer Main). My matches are me playing for 8 Hooks 4 Escape matches. I still play seriously after 8 hooks just slugging or farming (depends on the Survivor if they want to farm or loop).
My Recent match on all my Killer are all 8 Hooks 4 Escape and I haven't encountered any Sweat Squads recently which puts a smile on my face. These Matches are high fast paced no camping, always on a chase gameplay.
After 8 Hooks, I just Slug people then just chase another one which is more FUN I had since SBMM was introduced in September.
You might say "I consider winning to be the most fun in this game". WUDE comes at play here. After 8 Hooks I keep downing people and still play seriously when chasing Survivors. I essentially just let them live, on my mind I just think to myself "I could have Hooked/Killed/Sacrificed them <insert number of times you rekted them> times already". Thinking I could have killed this Nea or any of the four Survivors 15+ times already is a super win for me.
WUDE in DBD makes the game fun as you don't get cucked by BHVR's Bad SBMM and makes all 5 Players in a match Happy.
Still managed almost 30k....not bad.
You could have gotten 4ks though just sayin.....

Except it isn't, survivors still have to dedicate a perk slot to run it 🤡
Also a lot of survivors still like to use the other exhaustion perks available. Yes DH is strong, arguably the best exhaustion perk due to the invuln but at the same time there are ways to counter it and exhaustion in general.
There used to be decent ways to counter it. And I'm probably one of the most hard headed when it comes to countering, but even I had to concede the argument when people kept mentioning you can't counter its use for distance. Back in the day the old bait it out thing used to work pretty well, but now with all the hit validation and the ability to drop pallets from like 10 meters away. Theres not much you can do about it other than running with a few killers and perks that give exhaustion so the person can't use it in the first place.

no, it'd be worse and have less synergy.

I mean it gets to the point where theres so much free information given out they may as well throw away all the horror aesthetics and paint everything to look like Fall Guys colors. And the entire game become a paint by numbers MoBA style game. Cause thats where it looks like we're headed....

Bots and a ranked/unranked game mode was super exciting for me. Bots especially is like my number one things I'd kill for in this game. Having hud icons to see what teammates are doing would also be a godsend for solo queue and useful for 2-mans.
Everything else seemed like it was just standard stuff. I must have missed it or read over it quick, what was the endorsement thing you mentioned?
I bet my bottom dollar the grind fix will be prestige tokens where you perma unlock a perk forever. Best case scenario being you get 3 tokens per character so a prestige 3 character will have all their perks perma unlocked. Meaning when everyone is P3 the only perks you ever have to get is the standard ones. That would annihilate the grind for long term players and be super useful for newer players to keep perks they like. I doubt it'l be that generous but I'm confident it's gonna be prestige tokens of some kind.
I personally don't like the sheer amount of free information they keep dumping into the game. Takes away from the horror and element of surprise.
-
Bots in game, im not looking forward to. They can't even get zombie AI to function right and get proper pathing, theres no way they can fully code a killer to be worth facing in case of a DC, nor a survivor.

This exactly why i hate this perk so much. Because cleanse totems, give enough time to killer kill everyone. Or don't cleanse and get killed by NOED at end game. Ofcourse this is just one perk.
They have 3 more slots for anti-gen perks which will buy enough time for kill min 1 - 2 survivors.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2884581#Comment_2884581
Keep all locations at your mind? Travel all map again? Hope killer is not on you? Hope your solo teammates are doing same thing? 0 info how much totems cleansed? Need perk for this info while SWF has free info.
Totally fair and balanced.
....
Bruh...
You don't need to clear every single totem. You can clear 4 and leave 1. If noED pops you just insta delete the 1 and theres nothing you can do to stop it. Its one of the oldest and easiest perks to counter. Hell you don't even need to fully clear dull totems, you can get a handful and as soon as it pops (because its obvious it pops since you can see that you're exposed) you run over tag it, and thats it GG.

Yeah, you guys complaining about RNG have to realize that traps don't usually kill, and without some effort, might not even slow them down. It's like Ruin, you have to interfere with survivors to make it effective. They have plenty of time unless you waste it.
The RNG part is just....bad. I been playing pig for god knows how many hours, but her traps are a roll of the dice in the worst way possible. Its a mind game within itself. Because she has add ons like Ruleset no 2 that are counter intuitive to her power. The thing is you WANT the traps to stall people, you WANT people to struggle with those things on their head. But there is no interaction with the damn things. They already removed the ability to use any interesting perks that effect her box skill checks, action speed doesn't interact with it. Its just a survivor gets the thing on their head and they run around and tap 1 of the 4 boxes until it comes off. Thats it, its gone for the rest of the match and you no longer have to even think about the threat of facing pig because shes just a basic M1 killer after her traps are gone.
And no cap....it doesn't even feel good to get a headpop on pig with her current kit. Because in order to force those things, against solo queue survivors its because people didn't care and let the other survivors fall out plus you had to do something to divert, or run and tunnel the person who has the trap on their head. And then they die, and its not because they made a mistake. They did everything they could, they just got RNG'd to death. Survivors don't like it, and deep down most pig mains understand that they didn't do anything to really pressure that kill...(because duh...the timer stops when you're chasing that person you literally can't do anything to force a pop that way).
IMO RNG shouldn't be a thing in this game. It isn't present in any of the other killers kits, so why its still present in pigs is weird.

I also think its nice to have a system where you're incentivized to play it a bit more risky.
You could use the first search right away when your timer is halfway down, but then you'd use the only 100% refill on the timer that box has, and another survivor would have to resort to another. So the most efficient play, and also the riskiest, is to search a box as close to death as possible initially to save the value of the Jigsaw Boxes for your team.
That honestly just sounds fun to me.
Calculated risk vs reward gameplay....thats the ######### I like.

"Adding consistency" to this system for her is a net nerf. And the Pig has had enough nerfs and no buffs throughout her lifetime as a killer.
Her last significant buff was 2.5.0.
This system allows her power to be useful and act as a constant threat for survivors. And leaves room for buffs that doesn't have to dance around stupid RNG.
Not to mention that, your system would break itself with Bag of Gears + Crate Of Gears/Tampered Timer which is the deadly combination for Pig at the moment because it pretty much cheeses you during the RNG.
They nerfed BOG COG, you can't produce the no way out effect you could before with large scale maps. So that points not relevant anymore. And those add ons are....kinda meh atm.

@Shroompy said:

While I agree the RNG should be removed I don't think it should be that way, as it is now searching boxes can feel tense and you just hope it can be that next box or you're screwed
What I think it should be, is 10 boxes need to be searched spread across each Survivor, so maybe you'll get a 3/4/2/1, maybe 4/4/2/2, 1/3/3/3, etc. This way it adds a bit more consistency to her slow down
As for her ambush, no idea what they could do for that
Her ambush's biggest problem is sound quality. You lose the element of surprise if you're trying to use it for a first hit....which honestly. Most new players this is their first instinct, its just the game is counter intuitive in that aspect. If it were intuitive....well...the new players would be right in following their intuition to sneak up and rush people. Instead you have to do the counter intuitive thing and stand up as you're approaching people to mask the sound.

@Rezblaze said:
Condemned, I feel, is a far more SAW-like power than the Pig's power to be honest.
It forces you, in a way, to interact with it to save yourself from it, so you're always kinda playing with fire here. And, in my opinion, its way more fun to interact with a Killer's power when its a give-and-take system rather than pure chance.
With this said, I think we can make adjustments to the Pig's power so that it still fundamentally does the same thing as now, without relying completely on RNG:
- From now on, reverse beartraps applied by the Pig to survivors cannot be removed until the end of the match.
- Instead, whenever a Reverse Bear Trap is applied, it will automatically begin counting down.
Whenever a generator is completed, a chunk of the timer goes down, counting closer to death. To increase your timer, you must find a Jigsaw Box and interact with it. Every time you interact with a Jigsaw Box, it will refill your timer, but each time its used by you or another survivor, you can search it faster, but the time it gives you back is reduced after each search.
Initial Search: Full Time
Second Search: 80 Seconds
Third Search: 60 Seconds
Fourth Search: 30 Seconds
Fifth: 25 Seconds. Subsequent searches will only provide 25 seconds of time when a box is used up.
Each survivor can only search a box once every 30 seconds before it locks them out and they have to find a new box. This is to prevent cheesing and trolling and having people just using up boxes.
Once all generators are completed, survivors must go to one of the Jigsaw boxes to remove their beartrap. No RNG, just pick a box and use it and it removes the Bear Trap. Then they can escape.
I wouldn't touch any of the Pig's other powers, besides silencing her stealth (The sheath sound) and applying a Deep Wound on Ambush hits to incentivize using it more on initial engagements rather than just standing up.
Some addon changes would be necessary tho:
Utility Blades - Applies the Hemorrhage status effect to any injured survivor with a Reverse Bear Trap.
Face Mask - Applies the Blindness status effect to any injured survivor with a Reverse Bear Trap.
Slow Release Toxin - Applies the Exhausted status effect to any injured survivor with a Reverse Bear Trap.
Rusty Attachments - Applies the Mangled status effect to any injured survivor with a Reverse Bear Trap.
Rule Set No. 2 - Survivors in Reverse Bear Traps can only see the Aura of Jigsaw Boxes after completing a generator for 15 seconds.
Amanda's Secret - Whenever a Jigsaw Box is used, you see that survivor's aura for 6 seconds. Amanda can no longer see Jigsaw Box auras.
I feel like these changes would be more engaging for The Pig than a random chance guesswork.
This is actually a pretty damn good idea. As it keeps the threat present throughout the match. I was thinking sort of the same thing when Sadako came out. As far as the add ons go, this would give BHVR the opportunity to give her more interesting status effects from her traps and make playing against her feel more like a SAW movie. Giving the killer the option to punish people after interacting with boxes. For instance face mask could apply X amount: Time for blindness after a survivor interacts with a box. Or You could apply mangled after interacting with a box. Amanda's Secret is already one of her most trash add ons as it is. Your suggested change would inadvertently actually make it a viable pick because it would get constant interaction rather than just 1 or 2 uses out of a match in a given game.
In fact a lot of her status effects from traps, utility blades, slow release toxin, could be shifted into different interactions for instance you could have slow release toxin only give you exhausted for X seconds while interacting with a generator. Or have Utility Blades react when a survivor tries to heal themselves or another person.
This would also get rid of the false positive of Rule Set No. 2. <---As people fail to realize that by applying ruleset no. 2 you basically force all survivors to rush gens removing the actual benefit of having the gen pressure that you would think you would get, it does the opposite. The add on could probably get converted into something more useful and have Amandas Secret take up that same positional value during a game.
Not bad OP. Probably one of the best pig game ideas I've seen on these forums so far.
And a happy pig, is a sign of a healthy game.

Hate to say it but I've grown to expect it out of the people in this game. Post chat, steam profiles, etc. BHVR encourages it by proxy by allowing the role to be as trash as it is. They've taken the horror out of the game by lowering any risk you have as a survivor giving people more time than common sense and make jokes out of almost every licensed character to ever touch this game, ranks stats and elitism run rampant. Its not worth the risk of your mental health or happiness. Just stop playing..... people in this community victim blame people with epilepsy and all kinds of degenerate dooshbagery, the dooshbagery is then cultivated by BHVR's decisions and the community is a reflection of that. People piss whine and moan about rules that don't even exist anywhere in the games tutorials, help menu's etc. BHVR then double downs on the same BS further validating it. Just don't play it....sure stop by the forums every once and a while to check things out and see if they've dug themselves out of this cesspool but don't risk your life on this BS. But taken the balance goals and the published stats, the game is still tilted in favor of killers.
The goal is 50% kills, 50% escapes, but most killers have higher kill rates, don´t they?
I mean if you consider the up and down nature of MMR 1 match you get complete potatos, another match you get try hards, 1 match you get a team of survivors who literally throw and kill themselves on hook, another match you get a sweaty SSF. If you asked me from my own personal matches, I haven't had a 50/50 in months. Like an actual 2k, haven't seen it in literal months. Its either a complete 4k or a 1k/goose egg. Please ignore the game bleeding players caused by bad balance such as allowing SWF.
They don't have to remove it. But the thing is they don't offer an option to circumvent the problematic nature of it. Its like Bethesda leaving something broken in a game and then claiming its a "feature". Without giving you any way to patch and fix the bug if you don't like playing the buggy version of the game.

Imagine suggesting something that would kill the game instantly.
Removing people's ability to play with their friends would destroy this game.
I mean the alternative is, leave something in the game the devs have to now balance around and release imbalanced content because of it, and watch players slowly bleed out of this game due to attrition.
It reminds me of archeage and "ALTS" everybody knew how broken having multiple accounts all pooling their resources into 1 would be but every publisher kept it in the game anyway, to their own demise. Every event would be exploited by alts, every thing meant to level the playing field for 1 person got exploited by people multi boxing, every reward got nerfed because alts would end up with too much if you gave a good reward, grind was made exponential to account for alt character resource funneling. Items were made untradable because of alts, etc etc etc. Every version of the game except the Korean one (the one without alts) went down the drain because "MUH MONEY! We need those alt accounts to pay for "things and stuff"
I could write a book about how it slowly tore down the game. But we don't have that kinda time.
And in regards to archeage leaving in a slow rotting toxic mechanic. The game is now dead. A corpse. Cities are all empty, new players gone, old players either too invested to leave or begrudgingly continuing because one of their friends are still there. And its been through 2 publishers 1 of which went bankrupt and now no longer exists. It just goes to show you how leaving something in the game you know is problematic will result. Especially when no other options are given to circumvent said problem. This game is no different with its SWF catering. Its the elephant in the room everybody has to tip toe around because fear of "MUH FRIENDS, MUH MONEY". In the short term you get to make quick cash and have your friendlyness, in the long term the game bleeds players. Friendships move around, people move on to other things. And its easy to remember the problematic things in a game, its incredibly difficult to have the good parts of a game outshine the bad ones. So people bleed out. Content creators stop creating content. Things get stale and eventually die. I don't want DBD to die, but I've seen the writing on the wall enough times in games to see it coming from a mile away. Direction hasn't changed. People are more frustrated than having fun. It all adds up.
This games been down trending for the past 6 months after the release of one of the most anticipated licenses to ever hit this game. And the accumulation of problems has finally struck peoples limits. I been watching things like this play out for years, multiple games. Slow bleed is starting. Things need to change, and drastically.

No - If you are able to hit the same gen with PGTW, that's where the 40% value comes from.....If not, you have to 'split' the remaining 25% to a different gen.
Either way, every Scourge Hook pockets -40% in some form when they are run in tandem.
Ahhh I was gonna say thats a FAT epic combo.
Me personally I don't like wasting seconds on kicking gens, I'd probably run surge on top of that instead with Call of Brine. Maybe Tinker if I was really try harding on the gen regresison.

It's probably one of the best regression perks in the game at the moment.
People often combine it with PGTW (knocks 40% off a single gen at best....splits 40% of a gen if necessary) or Dead Man's Switch (the scream forces survivors off - Currently niche/played primarily on mobile killers as it only gets 'surprise' use against solos...SWF needs to be pushed off once the perk is known).
wait what? the regression auto triggers pgw?

Like all of them ever since grade reset ether afk of let you win are they purposely dropping MMR or is this game really THAT dead that people just give up before the game starts
Game is busted balance wise against people of equal competence. You could duplicate yourself 4 times playing against all 4 versions of yourself with a complete atomic equality of skill, and you're guaranteed to lose because of the raw amount of power creep in survivor games. And I wish I was making it up, but I say this as a killer main who plays survivor like a useless rat. And I win my survivor games at an INCREDIBLY higher rate than I do my killer games because I can just crutch perks that give me enough ways to escape so I don't have to learn how to loop or anything. On top of that I can just run straight to pallets camp them and drop them. You end up with enough time between every pallet from the time you drop it to the time you find another that you've wasted so much of the killers time the game is halfway over. And again...my survivor skill is TRAAAAAAAAAAASH.
My guess is most killers just don't wanna deal with the BS anymore. My Evolve Stage 2 senses are tingling again, I remember this phase of that A symmetrical game, this was right around the time the game died and they tried to recoup it with free to play a year or so after. And then it died permanently because they didn't fix the balance and couldn't rope in enough free to play dopes to make up for the increasing queue times.
I hope this game doesn't go down that timeline, but meh, my hopes about worth as much as a hole in a cup for a person dying of thirst.

Doctor is infinitely better than Onryo though. He has an anti-loop, a locator and a passive slowdown that actually works. The only thing that holds him back is the latency issues with his power and an overreliance on addons. If you wanted to use Doctor as a metric for balancing Onryo, she needs a gigantic honking buff to nearly every aspect of her kit.
To the second, I disagree - I think that all killers should be strong. Not Nurse or Blight level, but at least Demo level.
To me, Demogorgon is the gold standard of killer balance Not too strong, not too weak. And comparing Demo to Onryo is like comparing a Dodge Journey to a Dodge Nitro. One is a perfectly fine midrange van, one isn't.
Doctor is better than Onryo because his gameplay is just solid, functional, and fluid. He has a clear gameplay loop that is effective no matter what.
You walk around>shock people>reap the benefits of the shock>hit people.
His power is intuitive.
Onyro's power is not intuitive and 100% based on guess work unless you carry stacks of tracking perks. <----In which case you could have done that on any other killer making your decision to subsidize her power even more unintuitive.
They didn't give this chapter enough respect imo. They didn't even give her face something more akin to the movie.

The green addon which gives a survivor who completed a heal action one condemned as base kit.
The thing that makes her weak is the easy counter to her hit and run gameplay which is just to heal up really quick. Especially since CoH exists its even weaker and gives the Onryo barely any pressure. However if this addon would be baseline to her there would be a point to keep going with the hit and run gameplay cuz you can build up condemned and therefore pressure/slowdown which is imo a really cool mechanic and adds also some kind of strategic teamplay against her, with this you cannot just brain dead heal up every time against her with your team.
Thats actually a pretty good idea that would give her condemned an actual threat and give her a solid direction to go with for her gameplay. Which at the moment is what she's lacking. She has the skillset, but doesn't have the direction.
For example, you pick up say Myers, he has a clear direction in gameplay, you roll up stalk people build meter, stab them.
Pig: Crouch>stab people>cage them
Trapper: Run loops>set traps>hit
She needs a gameplay loop thats more clear than what she currently has. And theres parts of her kit that prohibit that.

I did not know you could bind it to mouse wheel why is that allowed it literally makes the item useless besides to bm
"Why is that allowed"
Pfff I dunno your guess is as good as mine. I mean theres people out there with disabilities who have issues with their hands in games and use the mouse wheel to function as a button. But in the scenario of DBD I think its more of an issue that flashlights aren't just shooting a texture that looks like a beam of light, instead the flashlights have near global illumination properties. So in a dark area you can use that function on the mouse wheel and turn the area into a disco light show. They could easily fix it by taking off the area illumination from flash lights and maybe changing the base color of flashlights away from white and into more of a burnt yellow/orange color. Other than removing the ability to bind your mousewheel. (which removing that bind may cause other issues for people who need that function, albeit its probably not really an issue for people who can barely use their hands because a lot of them have alternative input tools they can use to play video games, everything from buttons you can bite to large button pads, which IIRC aren't in the same key bind catalogue as a mouse wheel.) They did add in that automatic wiggle feature which I think helped out greatly for people with disabilities. So, eh...I kinda don't see a reason for the mouse wheel bind if we're being honest.

I would like to also add that I did blame BHVR for not implementing an anit-glare mechanic in flashlights and for not having a warning sign before but I won't grudge you for that.
That said, I'm only blaming the OP for the cousin's sake. Nothing to do with the game whatsoever. That's a whole 'nother story.
Why would you blame the OP when he clearly does not have epilepsy enough to know a trigger, in a game that claimed to have fixed said trigger over 2 years ago? Bro stop digging yourself into this hole, I've seen your posts this entire thread trying to defend your bad take just take the L, backpedal, move on and grow and learn. Sometimes you get things wrong my guy, that is life. Just take the L say my bad and keep it pushing yikes...
Your logic is like someone getting hit by a car because the city didn't put a stop sign on a 4 way street, and you blame the people involved in the crash cause "They should have known the risks OF DRIVING! ITS THEIR FAULT FOR LEAVING THE HOUSE" Like holy....

Encountering macro users in dbd is really rare(unless it's cheaters) i have only found 2 outside of matches that had cheaters in it also the game has no epilepsy warning
I just don't get why you're being so hostile towards him for being angry at the situation
Thats the thing though, you don't have to macro the flashlight to get it to do what happened to the op. You can simply bind it to the mousewheel and spin your mouse wheel. Why they allow those type of binds in a pvp game...I have no idea. But its BHVR we're talking about, foresight is 20/20.

As the sole individual who partook/started the very conversation, yes I did blame the OP and it was well-justified.
Look, "blaming", though I call it genuine criticism isn't always bad. In fact, I could've just glanced at the topic and could've just surfed away. I mean, who cares if some nobody's cousin on the internet dies from an epileptic seizure right? Doesn't affect me personally. It's just another death out of the 300 deaths that occur every year regarding epilepsy.
But I do care for the epileptic cousin. I do care about the incident. And what made me mad is that is was completely avoidable if the OP was caring enough to restrain his epileptic cousin from playing a game like DBD which has:
- Darker atmosphere than most games (which worsens the chances of preventing the seizure).
- Relies heavily on flashlights that shines the screen.
- And has no warning sign to begin with.
And the OP knowing, KNOWING all this as a veteran DBD player and also KNOWING his epileptic cousin is going into it without knowing the consequences is mind boggling for me.
What I'm trying to do is to let the OP know that what he did was wrong and that the same thing could happen to something that's NOT related to DBD if the people around him aren't looking out for him.
Pity Parties aside, this is an actual serious issue in regards to life or death situations. Grow up and put on a pair.
Bruh....this take is cooked.
Listen, I don't personally have epilepsy but this game went out of its way a while back ago to fix flashlight blinds so they weren't so bright and dropped the ball. Pointing the finger at the OP when BHVR tried dealing with this before doesn't make a lick of sense. You're cooked m8.

My cousin suffers from epilepsy and those ######### survivors gave my cousin an extreme seizure. Foam came out of his mouth and it scared the living crap out of me. Can we do something about this, BHVR, or is it too much to ask for a solution? Because you nearly killed him.
We been complaining about this for years, and BHVR always leaves it open. When I first got into the game the flashlight blind was insane. This was like 2018ish. Fast forward they tried putting this foggy smoke stuff up when you were blinded....BUT LEFT IN THE GIANT FLASH. Scroll forward to today and its the same thing.
It took them ages to even put in a color blind feature...

Im from EU and i think we all know what's happening in Ukraine atm.
We already have a flag charm (pride) so maybe we can have a Ukraine flag charm too to show our sympathy to Ukraine. I always wanted flag charms for every country so maybe this is the right moment to add them.
Please let me know what you think about this.
( I don't mean this in a hateful way towards Russia or anything like that and I know that many of them also support Ukraine. I just think this could be a really nice way to show our empathy and love towards Ukraine.)💙💛
Will we get a flag for when Libya was bombed, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Palestine or Sudan, or Syria? When muslims are killed do you wave flags in video games in support? Are there sanctions when muslim children are bombed from drones? Or does international conflict only matter when there is money at stake? Is there only shows of empathy when it is popular or does empathy only show up when people are afraid that they are next? Are the flags of all countries allowed or only countries recognized by political factions? Is Taiwans flag valid or does it not exist because the chinese government says they are invalid?
Or maybe...we should just play video games and leave the real world outside?

There's a lullaby? What is it?
I can't say I heard any lullaby while playing or watching others play, so genuinely curious if their audio is bad, or if I'm becoming more deaf than I thought...
You can literally hear her lullabye before anything else, its loud. The notification you get that she's using her power is even louder. On PTB she wasn't really sneaky or stealthy even in her invisible form because you could hear her coming and see her since it revealed her in 32 meters. And it was directional.

PTB is not currently active, it finished last Monday. So the first time you'll be able to test these changes is when the Chapter releases in March

She was obviously weak despite people saying "it's too early to judge her power".
NGL this is great news. Yall are still going to likely have to address her TV cooldowns being cut by SWF in the future but for now...eh, its alright.
Now....get us a Kayako skin that makes the gurgling sounds from the Grudge, and the two japanese horror sisters of Japan can terrorize DBD in full!

Imagine halo infection but with unkickable Victor's and survivors
Like have survivors have try to survive as long as they can for 3 rounds with each round having a timer and if they get downed by a Victor they become one and join the hoard
The reason why this idea popped into my mind is because whenever I go against twins I always have fun dodging Victor for as long as possible lol
You have the mind of a true Jigsaw antagonist. I approve of things like this.

They're a multi-millionaire company, if they wanted to remove perk tiers, they can definitely achieve it so the excuse of ''well the programming is difficult...'' or whatever is nonsense to me.
They simply will not do it because it lessens the grind in this game, and thus, the amount of money they will make people will play the game less. They do not actually care for our experience in this game, merely for their wallets.
That's why.
While I do agree that "Coding is hard" thing is kind of a meh statement to make, especially considering a lot of other studios and games....don't really...have that issue? I mean having a decent team of coders and scripters is like the first thing you want for a game design team, and 9 times out of 10 they'll try to make their jobs easier not, more difficult when handling code.
Same token though I don't agree with the "Less grind=Less money" because people will play the game less.
No....In fact, I'd argue there are at least 100 better reasons to not play this game than simply "Oh I finally have all the perks unlocked". <---Thats literally never happened. If anything shorting the grind increases peoples desire to play the game because they can experiment with more things, play more characters, switch roles, switch survivors etc.
When a player looks up at available perks for a killer and goes...."Ah, I don't have this perk yet...so I can't run this build" <---Thats 1000 times more off putting and a reason to not play the game, especially when they then realize the amount of time they're going to have to spend unlocking said thing "Welp time to log off ######### that grind"...Compared to "Oh man I unlocked everything!" <---This statement is more likely to be followed by "I'm gonna go crazy on these survivors/killers with these new perks" as in....making people want to play the game more.
Here's hoping their solution is actually fool proof for the long term and the short term. Same time I don't expect miracles overnight, not at their speed. (Side note @Peanits I really hope you guys are focused on making your jobs easier and more streamlined overall to diminish the need for large sweeping course corrections. Cause I know you guys knew this was gonna happen.... somebody 3-4 years ago had to have went "Yo...this....if we keep expanding like this the BP needed is gonna be insane.")

@SuzuKR said:
When will people stop making me have to post this explanation from Peanits over these stupid complaints?
One, flat hatchet hitboxes DO NOT WORK.
Two, survivor hitboxes are not individualized to every single part of each survivor's body because that takes an enormous amount of computing power, and BHVR does not have the power that companies like EA do.
Three, survivor hitboxes are not individualized to every single part of each survivor's body because that would give a competitive advantage to smaller characters which is stupid.
Four, latency is literally unavoidable.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/N8NAGEGQXJX3/screenshot-20200930-232331.jpg
Not a hitbox problem, the guy already cleared the turn before she threw the hatchet.
His ping is likely between 140-600 hella bad lag looking at it from just the video. And if he's Russian and playing against anyone from EU or SEA his ping is gonna be through the god damn roof.
