Dead Hard was perfectly balanced, so should be other exhaustion perks, that currently cause problems to weaker side while being pointless to stronger side. My idea is:
After being unhooked, exhaustion perks activate and can be used. This would include:
→ Sprint burst, can now be used by ability button
→ Dramaturgy
→ Lithe
→ head On
After unhooking survivor you can unlock single use on those perks:
→ Smash Hit
→ Balanced Landing
Every perk is deactivated once used untill reactivated again.
this would be a great suggestion….if we actually got the anti-changes.
the most realistic thing they could ask for, is for sprint-burst to be nerfed, everything else is just a weaker and more situational version of it, but worse.
if they also disable all gen-regression perks whenever someone gets tunneled out early, i wouldnt mind either. -

As the title says. If the last generator is done, or even if the exit gates are open, give killer the ability to surrender. I am so sick of having to sit here and wait while survivors sit at the exit t-bagging over and over; waiting till the last second to leave.
killers arent held hostage if the last gen is done. so i dont really get it.

Dear Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to sincerely address a situation concerning my friend’s account in Dead by Daylight. In the past, he made a serious mistake by using unauthorized methods to obtain in-game items. He fully acknowledges that this was wrong and takes complete responsibility for his actions. Since then, he has stopped entirely and deeply regrets his decision.
He genuinely values the game and the community, and over time he has invested a significant amount of money in official DLC characters and content. Most importantly, he understands that fair play is essential to maintaining a healthy and competitive environment for everyone.
If possible, he is more than willing to voluntarily relinquish any items that were obtained improperly and comply with any corrective measures you deem appropriate. He respectfully asks whether there might be an opportunity for leniency, given that he has ceased all violations and is committed to playing fairly moving forward.
He truly hopes to continue supporting and enjoying Dead by Daylight as a legitimate member of the community.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Phawin Puntuleng - HomlessHiggsfrom what i have heard, this is almost always a permament ban without an appeal if thats how he got banned.

bloody coils would feel like too much of a punishment for having smart survivors find and disable his traps, only for him to just renable it or have it be auto-enabled.
but i wouldnt mind if he had all his traps and aura to his traps. -

The Nemesis need more zombies in 1vs4. His contamination should do more than giving suvivors the occassional cough.
the only reason why he even got more zombies, is because he didnt really get much of an upgrade in 2v8.
so it made sense to double the zombies he had for the double of survivors.
it doesnt really make much sense to turn him intro a micro-knight with a m2-chase killer.
unless you wanna add a basekit way to get rid of them without a flashlight or stun and in trade you give nemesis a bit of xp for his tiers. its not really fun to play as or against.
even in 2v8 you are forced to deal with the 4 zombies on one gen and its really annoying, especially because the stun duration is way too short with 4 zombies around. -

Been playing the myers rework the past few days and im at the point where im getting really frustrated with the amount of pallets. Considering he has a strong pallet break power, the fact survivors never seem to run out and can drop 3+ pallets before going down is very frustrating and makes it feel like this rework was to compensate for the increase in pallets rather than increasing his lethality.
Really frustrating. I was really hoping myers could be a decent basic killer but he feels pretty similar to how he did before.its just so funny to read how people dont like myers for some reason.
either people hate him because hes "impossible to loop" even though you can just chain tiles and get away with it most of the time.
or you hate him because he still takes ages to get power and you still take ages to really get his downs.
i like him because he does stalk and dash in the original movies. he doesnt just stalk 90% and then suddenly kill you with no resistance, thats lame. -

Well, i am constantly seeing the more different killers in my matches. TBH, the most common killer in my matches tend to be Wraith and Ghostface, which are two of the weakest in 2v8. Is very hard to get the same killers in a row, even the S tiers.
This mode don't have MMR, so its completely random who we match. So we don't have the argument that "in high MMR its only Nurse and Blight" as have in the 1v4.
More killers = more diversity. People don't just play S tiers, they like to change who the play. A lot of players is going for Chucky, even though he is not the strongest right now.
They really should add 3 killers for every iteration of 2v8, helping with the killer diversity.
it does have mmr, just like all other events.
while it doesnt effect your mmr whenever you win or lose compared to normal queue.
it does take your mmr into account whenever you get matched. (i:e if you have high mmr or are just a beginner)
this could also just be a region thing, i almost never seen a ghostface, rarely wraiths, just the same 4 high-tier slop. -

I had alot more killers just dodging lobbies when i played in swfs than i ever did randomly getting queued with a cheater.
So you had more killers dodge you because you used external software to gain in-game advantage (i.e. discord) than you encountered players who use external software to gain in-game advantage?
SWF mains are now siding with cheaters out of spite towards killers, the logical conclusion of DbD's community.
why pattern recignition doesnt work (or whatever else you think to dodge cheater lobbies)
is apperently defending cheaters while also spewing trash about how swf is cheating, lmao.
this take never gets old, especially considering bhvr already adressed this and said its not cheating. just like any other game.
but, you can stay in denial and keep pretending like you are oppressed over nothing. -
@Junylar said:
So you want to remove the last resort players have to avoid cheaters? Good idea.
Cheaters will always get into your games, you cant avoid it, any tool you think you can use, can be used against the killer or taken advantage of.
Dodging anon-mode?, make a ######### username.
Dodging based on profile?, private profile with a random pfp or play on console/epic.
The list goes on.
I had alot more killers just dodging lobbies when i played in swfs than i ever did randomly getting queued with a cheater.

From time to time I try to bring this topic to the light.
I think the biggest problem is that the actual number of gens is tracked and not the progress.
What do I mean?
Well if you play in an orginized group of Survivors over Discord or something like that it is highly possible to just not finish your gen as long as it is not in danger. So you got a 99% gen and all the others which are at another progression level still archive the bonus repair speed while in Soloque when the gen would have poped the extra gen speed would have vanished.
The bonus is too small to be really abused unless you have one dead or many on death hook, which by that point snowballs to a lost.
(Its like 2% per hookstage lead / death vs gens done (-6%)
Having a swf be able to communicate and actually abuse to this degree is extremely rare, i want to abuse and have fun with this, but no one really want to do it besides the braindead insta-heal strat.
This also isnt foolproof.
Because killers can kick any regress at insane rates, so you always need someone checking or hovering, which wastes more time and macro that you could've gained from "leaving gens at 99 and gain comeback precentages".
I havent seen anyone really even attempt to use or abused this in a way, from streamers, cc or anyone else in LFG servers.
Would love to see it though and see if its actually worth doing or not.
-
1. Its supposed to be survivor sided because otherwise no one would queue in 2v8 and fully gain the bp bonus.
2. Guide, the genrush class, got killed off and reworked to be a troll class, so you dont have actual genrusher be able to rush gens.
3. The new class made people who didnt care about doing gens, have a dedicated class for these people, making people close to never do gens anyway and alot less than it was before.
You got your nerfs, they cant hold your hand and force a win every game if the team is simply better than you by design or matchmaking.

@OrangeBear said:
Green Tonic is just too strong for survivor. On top of the torchbearer class being added… the ability to deny and even undo hooks can be miserable to deal with.
Also i dont get why killer classes were overall nerfed and made less synergistic. Shouldn't teammwork between killers be encouraged? Whats the point of mode entirely otherwiseI can answer the last one.
The reason why legion and guide got killed off.
Was because it was really unhealthy for the game.
I dont know why you cant just remotely support eachother like shadow did or og wraith class synergy did at one point.
But getting double teamed is one of the top reasons why survivors dont like playing 2v8. You cant really loop or counter 2 killers unless they are both really bad
So it feels awful, same happened to guide and legion.

??????
This makes no sense. As survivor i'm tired of going against the same killers all over again. Queue times are astronomical either way. They have been even when new there wasn't any new killer added. And play while you wait helps a lot with the longer queue times. If they gave back the 400% i believe queue times would be much better than they currently are. I don't know why BHVR is so stingy with Bloodpoints incentives. The least they can do is add more killers so people still have interest in playing both sides or this mode will be just another 1v4 queue destroyer.
The variety isnt going to get better if they add more killers.
This was clear the moment they expanded from 5 og killers to blight, spirit and slinger.
Now everyone is just playing oni, blight, wesker. Or maybe spirit and nurse.
Now they added 16 killers and its the same 3 killer, which wont improve unless everyone is s-tier or they force the variety on them by limiting killer options.
I can also say the same with survivor, but no one cares.
-
@Haening said:
Wesker is objectively one of the better designed killers, he has a simple yet effective power that does not render loops completely useless and gives him enough room for map control, though...
Since the last nerfs that he received, he suffers from an useless passive slowdown that survivors do not seem to bother anymore. I suggest that the infection from the hook should stay at a decent rate (20% would be ideal) but 1% is honestly ridiculous considering that the slow is only 4%.
I also suggest to make his slow 6%, as 4% is not enough to pressure survivors into vaccine.
i wouldnt mind if he had faster infection and more of a slowdown (10%) when fully infected.
i also wish they did more off the hook-anti tunneling changes for all killers so its not just a select few who are dragged down from power-creep.
because kaneki still can bite people off hook, get power and easily dominate. -
@NekoTorvic said:
Devs, please I beg you, PLEASE if hillbilly or Blight, or any killer whose power requires open spaces is in the lobby, PLEASE make it impossible to get indoor maps.
In regular queue, it is tolerable to have a killer's power not be the best in certain maps. It's not ideal, but it's part of the randomness of DBD and it's okay. In 2v8 THOUGH?! PLEAAASE I BEG OF YOU have these maps not be a thing for killers whose WHOLE power is moving.30 minutes in queue just to get an indoor map feels so incredibly frustrating that it is hard to put into words. It's not even fun in a "don't care about it too much about it" kinda way. That's how I approach 2v8 in general. The problem is the whole power is dysfunctional in indoor maps. There is no fun to be had because I can't use the one thing I queued to play as the killer for…HIS POWER.
Please, either pick a few killers who just don't function in indoor maps and remove those maps from their pool, or make them extremely rare for those killers, or just let the killers switch character once per match. OR for killers like Blight and Billy, reduce their collision hitbox so it's easier to slide past things and into doorways… give blight back his hug tech for 2v8. Just anything to make indoor makes not feel like I just a massive waste of time.
My first 2v8 of the day. It just completely soured my mood, because it's not like i can stomach it and just move next. There is no next because the queue is so long.
I recognize I am very frustrated as I say this, but I cannot be the only one, and I think that this frustration is at least a little bit justified. I don't intend to be rude, I hope I am not being rude, but I want to communicate emphatically just how immensely frustrating this is.you are playing blight, the 2nd best killer in the game. oni has it alot worse because ,
he cant turn and dash consistently while blight can with every bump.
if you want shorter killer queues, have more people play survivor. -
@Xray said:
I'm suprised both killers arent already in the mode, Unknown should be easy to implement. Dredge might be a bit tougher to add as you would have to worry about locker spawns on bigger maps, and some 1v4 maps have iffy spawns for him to begin with. As for buffs for them, i'm just spittballing here but Dredge being able to teleport to any locker without a range limit or a massive range limit at least. As for unknown maybe have his projectile have a increased radius or something idk, point is i feel like these two should come in as the next duo added as they arent as a much a migraine compared to Plague and Singularity.
do you guys enjoy the killer queues?,
do you guys enjoy the mode being intentionally survivor sided?,
i dont mind if you want your killer to be in 2v8,
but we are in no position to add more killers on 2v8 without it making it worse for everyone involved. -

I'm curious what everyone's preferred class is, and why.
In half my matches, I'm the only GuIde, and the class feels really under-appreciated. Not only can I summon players to key gens but I can stick my blastmine on a nearby gen to either summon more people to that one or to keep an eye on it to get a read on killer location when they kick it. Or I can wiretap a middle one with minimal progress that the killers are unlikely to bother kicking. I've had a number of matches where all the gens left are on one side except one and I can get the survivors to help me with that last, isolated gen. It's more macro to me than something like Medic or Escapist.
i just like scout, its useful in most situations.
help your teammate?, reveal aura.
no idea what to do?, repair a pallet.
getting chased?, get aura reading for yourself!.
i love the rework scout got, genuinely the most unique class from 2v8 that cant be replicated for 1v4. -
yes, and it lasts for like 30s.(?)
and its gone, forever, it doesnt regenrate.
even better if you get the cage-tonic, for a dual haste with ur killer mate for 30s.
and it does make a massive difference, especially on high mobility killer like oni or wraith. -
@Fixthisgamebad said:
I feel like playing as survivor in 2v8 is just filling bars and useing SB. there are too many tools like insta heals SB recovering pallets blastmine, flashes plus like 30 pallets and free hook removal it gets a bit too free. the only reason I be playing it is cause of the bloodpoints, but its so boring lmao when everything is free.
its not fun when you dont have to have any skill to win, however playing killer is just as boring because you wont lose because of skill but how efficent survivors are at popping gens one chase or loop can pop 2 gens before a single down. but then again the are games where 6ks and 8ks occur but its more due to the survivors being ######### than the skill of the killers lowk. its a casuel mode so im happy its leaving soon but i hope the next one is actually good
Almost no one is doing insta-heals because medic is boring and requires heavy coperation.
Dont ask me why they made it on command. I dont like it either.
I didnt want guide to be gutted to be a troll class, the killer mains complained about genspeed and then reworked it.
The tonic can also buff killer, idk why everyone pretends like only survivors can use them. You can use it too, with your team and get rid of it.
Its not supposed to be killer sided, if you wanna torture yourself, to go 1v4. Theres plenty of sweats there.
Playing 1v4 barely requires any skill to win besides "run better perks/killer".

So I understand why certain killers might not be added to 2 v 8. Could be a licensing issue or it can be difficult to have too many killers that add new gameplay elements ie freddy, xeno, etc. However there are so many killers that I truly can't think of a reason why they wouldn't be in. Like in what universe would hag, dredge or unknown be considered unfair in a mode like that. Why do you think the roster is so limited?
You are getting 2 new killers almost every iteration. (Besides one time and this time with just chucky)
Meanwhile survivors got barely anything besides a smoke-bomb which got nerfed,
class reworks which made them worse,
tonics that can also buff killers.
And now a new throwing class after like a year while you guys got new killers Which is 10x better than what survivors ever got in this mode besides the 1st class rework.
Genuinely dont understand the greed behind this.

How is it greed? We are far past the time for refunds. Money is not what's stopping changes.
Because he has been bugged for 9 months and refused to killswitch him.
But when streetwise was a bug or fog-vials were bugged, it got switched or nerfed to the ground. (Same year this happened)
But kaneki got neither, people happily abused a BUG for 9 month until they fixed it.
Not balance issue, Several BUGS.

Ah no, If we are going to go down the individual perks I will bring up a lot of perks that were outright unfair towards killers that lasted for years and were outright abused until they were finally changed.
Iron Will was not trash for the majority of it's life. Basically two chapters and it was reverted. It is effectively the same now as it was on release and, for a brief time, much stronger when it was a multiplier instead of additive.
Fog viles were nerfed after a PTB. How many killers were nerfed before release? How many killers are nerfed soon after release? It's a meme that BHVR waits until everyone bought the chapter then nerfs the killer and/or their perks.
Distortion was not gutted. Maybe your threshold of gutted is different than mine. Even though I do believe the nerf was unnecessary.
Ghoul is probably the first killer that BHVR didn't take an axe to with so much outcry from survivors. I think the license holder has something to do with it. But someday that may change but Ghoul is an exception to the rule.
They gave him several changes throughout the months, they just refuse to killswitch or rebalance him like they did vecna dnd.
This isnt a liecensing issue. Its just greed.

Killers are FORCED to stay in matches they've clearly lost. They arent FORCED to stay hostage or wait out 4 minutes.
You can move, you arent slugged on the floor unable to do anything.
Why is it, so hard to differanciate the two things?.
All Survivor slugged : cant do ######### with perks (which is why you surrender
Killers, are close to never hold in a losing game with no way to fight back or end the game.
If you cant understand that, then you havent played both sides enough.

I’d like to start a discussion about communication in Dead by Daylight.
Some people suggest adding full voice comms. I don’t agree with that. Full map-wide communication would fundamentally change balance and likely overbuff coordinated teams.
However, I do think the game would benefit from proximity voice chat.
Why proximity instead of full comms?
1️⃣ It helps solo queue without breaking balance
Communication would only be possible when survivors are physically near each other. That reduces the solo queue information gap without giving global awareness.2️⃣ It fits the horror theme
Survivors close together can whisper. Survivors across the map shouldn’t communicate telepathically. Proximity chat is more immersive and realistic than full comms.3️⃣ Killers should hear it too
If survivors talk near the killer, the killer hears them. That adds risk and strategy. Communication becomes a tradeoff, not a free advantage.4️⃣ It increases tension instead of reducing it
Hearing survivors panic nearby or trying to stay quiet to avoid detection would enhance the horror atmosphere rather than remove it.5️⃣ It doesn’t replace Discord
Coordinated SWFs will still use Discord. But most matches aren’t coordinated. Casual solo players shouldn’t have to join external voice platforms just to have basic teamwork.Right now, the gap between coordinated teams and solo queue creates inconsistent balance. Proximity chat could narrow that gap without overcorrecting.
Curious to hear both killer and survivor perspectives.
Why would i do that instead of just going to discord on coms....
Its like saying : "okay we will buff trapper but leave blight unchanged" people will keep playing blight

Basically every possible pallet spawn has a pallet now. So if you want to play, pick something that can ignore pallets…
Just small example:https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QH0Q5U7JYM4P/pallets.png
Yet :
coldwind has barely any pallets (check for yourself, any variant and its just 8-12 pallets max and 8 of them are useless fillers)
Sm macmillian map got nerfed for no reason.
Hawkins got nerfed, even though the map was already strong for killer due to having no window, no god pallet, being an indoor map, upstairs being useless and now main, the only consistent thing being nerfed.
Midwich's "god pallet by the stairs" randomly got removed. I havent seen it spawn once whenever i played since the ST update.

Unless somebody is running an extremely fast killer like blight or ghoul, who can kick a gen and zip right after a survivor, I'm struggling to justify running gen kick perks. Which is a shame, because I use to get a lot of value out of perks like eruption and overcharge. Especially overcharge. I definitely feel like I'm at an mmr level where survivors could hit skill checks blind folded, so stuff like merciless storm, overcharge and oppression are much risked to run.
I often have survivors prerun on me, the second they hear a terror radius they're off into Narnia somewhere. So I often come across generators with survivors gone. (Doesnt help that i play slower killers.) So it is awfully tempting to bring a perk that let's me get value out of kicking it. I've tried nowhere to hide, but I never found it all that useful against "good hiders."
Right now I'm leaning more toward surge. No kick but still a gen explosion. But it's not as good on certain maps and survivors will run you away from working generators when they know you have it. Plus you can only regress a gen so many times, and you could end up wasting all your events on a gen fairly early if survivors keep going down next to it.
Would you say chase or hook perks are a better investment than slow down for an m1 killer?
Turn back the clock makes these perks alot more viable now thanks to the remote kick after every kick and its insane how much value you can get out of it.

New to 2v8, the Torchbearer class equips Survivors with Flashlights and Flash Grenades, helping them to go for stuns, reveal Killers, and empower injured Survivors with Endurance.
Now that you've had a day to check out this new class, how are you liking it so far? Hit us with your feedback below so we can bring it to the team!
As predicted.
People have been throwing games just to try and do 15 saves. With this class
This doesnt JUST hurt survivors, this also hurts killers too.
Why? :
Because killers are being annoyed by several survivors hovering to save, so they have to face it and most likely get away with it aswell since you cant really counter it if they die on a pallet. Or dont and still get pallet stunned.
And you might ask : why doesnt your duo killer just protect you?.
Because they either cant, since theres 2 paths to a pallet saves, which they usually cant deny. Or
Because they will lose in alot of amount of pressure, if they just split up and hunted down more survivors.
It also doesnt really seem creative or what everyone ask for, a boon class. So it feels like you guys dont really want survivors to have anything special. (Even though it would help killer queues and make survivor more fun).
It just feels like another 1v4 idea thrown into 2v8, which wasnt needed,
If people really wanted to, they could just find a flashlight, play escapist and have the same results WITH a on command speed boost.
So overall, the only way this benefit anyone, were flashlight savers, who will do anything to do that one thing but waste less time to set up for a save.
But this addition actually hurt more than it did good, similar when legion got added.
Genuinely hope they rework this class to force survivors to work on gens, because i know they will never do them. Just like in 1v4.

Is Merchant in a good place today? When they did gut Merchant was it in the view of the killer or the survivor?
i can also name things that survivors have been gutted.
iron will used to be trash until its buff to 100%. for years and much longer than sm has been gutted for.
fog-vials got gutted and havent recovered for 6 months. (and arent garantied to be buffed unlike sm)
distortion has been gutted for over a year and it hasnt recovered. (no garantie to be ever changed)
these problems didnt take 2 years to adress. everytime killer has a slight whiff of a problem, it got immediately nerfed, gutted or reworked within months.
meanwhile we are still waiting for ghoul to be even rebalanced. even after his numberous bugs that he didnt get killswitched for. in 9 months. -

Again survivors should be forced to stay in the game until at least 3 survivors are actually dead.
If they leave before that no BP and abandonment penalty.
If Killers have to ride out the game till the very end so should they.
Instead of downvoting explain why you disagree.
All four are down, just wait until 3 are dead then you can abandon as theres no hope for a come back.
For Killer though exit gates open all survivors are standing there waiting….but Killer has to come run them out, because survivors by and large like to act like immature children and wiggle there butts at the killer. If the killer leaves he gets an abandonment PENALTY and no bp.
Yet Survivors can go WAAA we got outplayed abandon collect bp and suffer no penalty. Why?thats one way to defend toxic 4 man bleedouts.
great idea to force survivors to stay in a match they already lost which no chance to comeback or a reason to continue playing.
no one takes you seriously because its common sense that wasting time without a way to move forward, shouldnt be a thing. -

Survivors have been convinced that giving up of any inconvenience is virtuous and will eventually get the Devs to pander to their demands.
Go back before dedicated servers when the killer hosted the match. When a killer felt like they were being clowned on or thing weren't going their way, they would DC or pull the plug. For those not around back then, this wasn't viewed in a good light to survivors. Not to say it was a virtuous thing, that was bad sportsmanship then as is DCing or giving up today.
it took 2 years to get merchant the gutting. if it was really pandering to survivors, it wouldnt take 2 years to bother to act.
kaneki is the most hated killer in 9 months and he barely got the same treatment, heck, he got to get away with alot of "bug exploits" when he should have been killswitch just like streetwise.
they rather kill-off fog-vials because killers complained about it than fix the issues kaneki had in 9 months. (he's still not fully bugless after the 9.4.2 patch.) -

It's really funny seeing how you seemingly don't see the irony in what you said.
On one hand it's
which got reverted due to killers mains whining that they cant get easy games anymore….even though those low tier killers would've been more compensated overtime with more changes…
But then you mention
then killers like kaneki who are left unchanged and "bugged" for months on end.
Those "whiney killers" know how bhvr operates and don't believe in the promise of buffing low tier killer in any reasonable timeframe.
As someone who hasn't played for years now, I gather from the forums that the current kill rate is on average +/- 5% around the targeted 60% threshold. And that is with the ability to tunnel and camp.
I can only imagine how much that metric would tank (since many player DO fall back on those strategies and might be carried by them) and how long it would take for this forum to be filled with complaints about survivor queue times or missing killer variety.
Such a massive invasive influence on player agency has to be thoroughly planned and tested so as not to destroy the game. Something similar happened or still happens for example in wow now with their addon Exodus that was immensely back paddled because they are unable to fully compensate.
the irony being that killers have a safety net, since if they plument below 60%, they will likely get buffed.
"Those "whiney killers" know how bhvr operates and don't believe in the promise of buffing low tier killer in any reasonable timeframe."
is just plain wrong.
if survivors get trashed on by a highly oppresive killer, bhvr doesnt have a safety ruling in place to prevent it.
(kaneki existance proved that)
so, overall those low tier killers would've gotten more buffs than high tier killers,
they already did it in the first ptb iteration of it by not giving these buffs to high mobility killers.
so saying "they wont buff low-tier killers" is just wrong, because they do,
not as much as they should, but trapper and pig got buffed.
freddy got a rework even though he was statistically an above avarage killrate.
its been 9 months and kaneki is still as miserable to play against as he has been since on release even with his numerous bug fixes and small slap of the wrist changes he got. -
as much as i would love for hatch to just spawn after a minute of the last survivor standing so killers cant just brainlessly 4k slug with zero effort. bhvr caters to them, they dont care, if they did. we would have alot more of qol,
but we dont,
because they dont care and we are simply the minority.
fog-vials being gutted 2 weeks into release and kaneki still being s-tier for 9 months (or at the bare minimum doing a killswtitch) should tell you enough who they cater to. -

Most of the time whene playing, there are so many survivors, and even killers who just give up. From the killer side its usually met with a DC, but on the survivor side what they do is give up, or even troll their team for the rest of the game. It happens more when playing a strong killer, but even then it happens with every one. They don't rq, they don't stay till endgame chat to get angry, they just go afk and give up. It ruins the match for everyone involved even if one guy does it. It makes me very sad. What made this happen more often?
:(
the biggest catalyst right now would be that they promised to shake up the game and fix the tunneling and slugging issue.
which got reverted due to killers mains whining that they cant get easy games anymore….even though those low tier killers would've been more compensated overtime with more changes…
on top of the survivor soloq nerfs, perk nerfs, 90% perks released last year being useless or not fun to use overall (just look at fog-vials)
then killers like kaneki who are left unchanged and "bugged" for months on end.
soloq still being miserable with close to no improvements,
this is what you get. its like i keep hurting on you on purpose and promise to give you money for enduring the pain and then i keep hurting you, over and over. you would be tilted too. -
Spirit seems fine at 4.4m/s
The first seem fine at 4.4m/s
Dont ask me why hag is 4.4
Ranged killers usually are 4.4.

What i did was very Simple and not hard to set up.
Step 1: pick a Survivor or Killer and remove ur perks, Addons/Items and Offerings. Bring nothing
Step 2 : remove all Expectations and focus on ur Instincts and Game experience.
Step 3 : play with this for about a month.
The reason i play this way is that im not relying on anything im not expecting anything. Im focused on my skills with what I can find.
Trust me you will improve in ur games. It will take time to get used to so give it some time.
Everyone else is still using perks.
Why would i handicap myself and get severely punished for not using perks? (Slugging or tunneling)

Always the same killers, always the same strategy, always the same perks/loadout, always the same maps, always the same layout, always the same survivors.
Where is the variety? It's so boring seeing the same thing over and over again.
Let me tell you this way.
There is a variety of guns you can use, but there is an rpg you can use with no consequence.
It works as intended, a massive aoe oneshot weapon.
The others get easily overshadowed, pistols, smgs, shotguns, machine guns, snipers, ecr.
People will stick to the rpg because its easy and effective.

[FAN CHAPTER CONCEPT] THE STATIC - SLENDERMAN & THE LOST LOVERSOverview:
This concept introduces The Slenderman as a psychological horror Killer who distorts reality, making Survivors question their own eyes. The Chapter also features two Survivors (a couple) and a dense, atmospheric forest map.NEW KILLER: THE SILHOUETTE (Slenderman)
Killer Power: STATIC INTERFERENCE
The Silhouette does not just hunt; he breaks the mind.- Passive - The Gaze: When a Survivor looks at The Silhouette or is within his Terror Radius for too long, their "Static Meter" builds up.
- Stage 1 (Paranoia): The Survivor begins to see static hallucinations of The Silhouette standing in the distance. These fake killers have a Terror Radius but vanish upon approach.
- Stage 2 (Reality Distortion): The most dangerous stage. Survivors start seeing Fake Pallets and Fake Windows.
- Example: A Survivor runs to a pallet to loop, but as they try to throw it, it dissolves into static smoke (similar to Freddy’s dream pallets but as a base mechanic).
- Example: A window appears open, but it is actually a solid wall.
- Special Interaction (The 8 Pages): To cleanse the Static, Survivors must find and collect "Pages" scattered around the map (like Pinhead’s box). Collecting pages leaves them vulnerable but clears the visual distortion.
Iridescent Add-on Idea: "Torn Photo"
- When a Survivor is hooked, they are sent to "The Void" (visual effect).
- If another Survivor rescues them, the rescuer suffers from the Broken status effect for 60 seconds OR the generator with the most progress explodes and regresses by 15%.
Mori: Irreversible Gaze
The Silhouette lifts the Survivor with shadow tendrils (without touching them). He turns them around to face him. The camera zooms into his blank face as the player's screen explodes with violent static and high-pitched noise. The Survivor’s eyes turn black/hollow, and they collapse lifelessly as their body fades into dark mist.NEW MAP: OAKSIDE PARK (Abandoned Zone)
A dense, foggy forest that combines the atmosphere of Red Forest and Shelter Woods.
- Landmarks:
- The Restroom Shack: A faithful recreation of the graffiti-covered brick building from the original game (contains the Basement).
- The Ranger Station: A 2-story building with a lookout tower and glass windows.
- Generator Mechanic: Generators are hidden deep within bushes and trees. They have no lights or flickering static lights, making them extremely hard to find, forcing Survivors to explore and risk exposure.
NEW SURVIVORS: THE LOST LOVERS (Liam & Sophia)
Two modern hikers/campers equipped with GoPros and tactical gear. They came looking for adventure but found a nightmare.
- Theme: Tragic Romance. Their perks focus on synergy and the desperation to save each other.
- Teamwork Perks:
- Heartstring: When your partner (or the Obsession) is injured, your repair speed increases.
- Don't Leave Me: When within 8 meters of another Survivor, healing speeds are boosted.
Why this fits DbD:
This concept shifts the meta from "Looping" to "Trust Issues." Survivors won't be able to trust the loops they see, bringing true horror back to the game.Im pretty sure when we had a feedback survey about which liecense we want to dbd as a killer.
Slenderman was ABOVE tokyo ghoul....yet he didnt get in.
Its cooked

The system itself is a good idea but the fact that you can't do/use it until a couple short seconds away from death in a game that was an awful experience due to the killer being extremely toxic in their game play (camping, slug baiting, lobby slugging, etc) is out right laughable. We can't control who we queue against, obviously, but I've had the misfortune a number of times (3 times recently within the last 3 or 4 days) where I match with the same killer that made a previous game awful for such reasons, and what does the system do to me for leaving early before that joke of an abandon button shows up? Match suspends me. Why should we have to knowingly suffer through a killer that is going to make the experience of that match less fun than getting teeth pulled? It's mind boggling that as survivors we get punished for not wanting to spend an entire game in a lobby with a person playing killer that is being an outright ass hat. This is what is killing the game on both sides. No respect for other players. Nothing going on upstairs except for 'win. only win. any cost'. Seems like more often than not behavior has 0 clue what we really want or are willing to put the effort into doing it right the first time.
It did solve the pointless 4k slugging.
But killers easily have found a way around it.
This is such a issue for 2v1 slugging because the killer gets rewarded for playing like an #########.

Ghoul on his own is already an extremely poorly designed killer but everyone already knows that (except the devs apparently?) Regardless you can make him even more ridiculous with the new perk, secret project, which makes the killer undetectable for 30 seconds anytime a gen has been blocked.
Ghoul has an iri addon called yamori’s mask that makes survivors scream after hooking in enraged mode. Basically the ghoul can combo this addon with dead man’s switch and secret project to get 30 seconds undetectable after every hook, since the addon will interrupt gens and proc DMS which will in turn proc secret project.
Something needs to happen about this. This is one of the most unfair combos I’ve seen.Ghoul is just bs in general so im not suprised

100% ghoul will get nerfed more and sooner than blight the golden child of DBD and nurse will get either nerf or rework before blight will get nerfed or touched by devs, trapper will be b-tier after rework and many other things will happen, blight is fun character i have to give them that but he should be 110 speed and loose like 2 tokens when he breaks pallet and he would be perfect, strong and fun while being harder killer to play.
Personaly Im shocked that the literally flash of DBD is still 115% speed but what surprise it took them 2 years to remove hug tech from him (he still is strong by comp players he is top number 1 killer in the game) and his busted addons like og compound 33 or alchemy ring while killers like ghoul got nerf in 1-2 months, dracula, chucky, krasue (I dont denny some of them were strong as hell but nothing compare to blight who is still king of DBD).
We huffed that copium for ghoul for 9 months and for nurse for 9 years.
Im just sticking to killer, less stress, less bs, more control, my mistakes. More wins.

EDIT: POSTED IT TOO SOON, LOL
Me and my friends did an experiment on running 4 toolboxes with BNPs. On 10 matches, we got like 8 with killers doing 1 or 2 hooks only, or only 2 of those getting a kill.
Why toolboxes still exist like this?
EDIT2: Toolboxes are the most commons currently for winstreaks. Even casual with 4 toolboxes can pressure experienced killers with ease.they rather whine and ######### about fog-vials and medkits.
if anything they did this to themselves. -

Sure, 20 seconds might be exagerated for most situations, but i've literally seen videos of people timing their gen speeds with all the possible toolbox + perk combos go for 15 seconds(with a literal timer on screen). For fairness sake, sure toss that aside as an outlier because it's literally all the best toolbox addons and perks combined, but to just say it isn't possible is disingenuous.
in an AVARAGE GAME you dont get this ######### as much as people whine that they do.
i only had a group play flip flop power struggle, bgp, flashlight ONCE in anni, never again in my 2k hour journey.
but people claim they get these bullies quads every 4 matches, (they dont, they just want to nerf and complain for easier games) -
@MechWarrior3 said:
His cooldowns are way too fast. I dodged 4 of his dashes and of course he still has another one. His power also comes back up SO fast. If you are not at a pallet or have any type of distance (Which is hard to do against him) you are just dead.
they already nerfed him like 3-5 times.
at that point people gave up, delusionally defend him because "he takes skill bumping into walls" or because they need another free2play killer that can get to 2k+ winstreaks.
we have better chances at ghoul getting nerfed than blight. -

Ok, what should be done, then? Because 20 second gens are not a fun time.
Gens dont pop in 20s, literally impossible for that to happen.
Nerf toolboxes, nerf hyperfocus. Thats all you really need.
Because at that point if gens fly after these nerfs, its a skill issue. Gens will fly if get looped.

1.) Watch Mr_TatorHead and get better - https://www.youtube.com/@Mr _TatorHead
2.) Stop clinging to made-up cope concepts.
3.) Accept that the game can be over 4 minutes from the start, most of the killer roster cannot 12-hook inside of 4 minutes, and there's no time to gauge the skill of a team before it's too late.
You would either complain how sweaty survivors are if you did get what you want, complain about swfs or complain how this also makes majority of the low tiers unplayable if they did that.
Long ass guide videos just to play a single map can go on for hours, which, again, is unreasonable to ask for when killers dont even need 100hrs ingame to consistently win with their powers. (Not to mention how often they rework and change maps)
-
By your logic any complains you have for killer is invalid because "its just a made up concept" like genrushing or abusing impossible to win against certian perk combos
-
for the people, 2nd wind. / plot-twist, deliverance / hyperfocus, stake out / sprint-burst vigil / 1234, bardic.
Killers wouldnt get buffed either because all it really is, is just a skill issue or a made up concept.

Tunneling has a natural defense, it's called looping. You already have basekit anti-camp, anti-loop, lots of perks to help you, windows and pallets everywhere etc etc. The devs have WAY better stuff they should be working on instead of something that has natural counters. Some killers have to tunnel just to keep it fair after all the free-rides survivors are getting now.
What you need for said defense :
Meanwhile killers dont need 1200+ hours to tunnel. Noir do they need to bring perks just to counter something they can do basekit.
