If you want to play comp or have a survivor who gets a lot of skins, get Ace.
If you're a RE gamer as well you could get Leon/Chris/Carlos :)
Though I have to say I love most David gamers, they play well and who the f doesn't like David?
-
the entitlement is off the charts
-
Can happen or they also might be on smurf accounts.
-
Ngl it started with the Ruin/Undying nerf and Legion being a chronic mending simulator. Every patch since has caused the game to go downhill.
Wesker did some damage control but then they went on a 3-gening killer trip added Knight, Hostage merchant trash, and so on. They've nerfed some of the most basic survivors actions into the ground, and let's not forget how utterly bugged this game has become.
Apparently, it's normal now for deadlocked gens to get hit by both pain res and jolt over and over again. And you'll still have killers tunneling in those matches lol.

there’s only 4, they are easily avoided, and they’re only relevant when you’re on their ass already.
you’re pretending like they were everywhere, like Larry’s EMP’s. They really weren’t.

If you want to run it, great, go for it! Have fun! ^^

No.
-
I mean why waste a perkslot? They could make just-unhooked survivors lose collision with others. The end.
-
Since Billy stopped flying, that's when all our dreams died.
Edit: Also when they took away Jerryl. They took away the snitch horse only to come back with Knight, SM, and whatshisface.
-
Did you see them do anything about Knight or Hostage Merchant?
Also, there are some playing Singularity, and those few are quite good at playing it.
-
Unless it's game-breaking it won't get killswitched.
-
This also happens with Ruin and Deadlock
-
No, but if I'm playing during the day there are some maps where I can't see ######### on. Even if I have my curtains closed like a hermit they're still too dark.
-
Probably some subliminal messaging hidden in one frame of the game that has brainwashed me to keep playing this silly game which I both simultaneously love and hate :)
On the real though, all of the RE characters.
-
It might be an idea to apply blindness to other teammates, when healthy. That you literally cannot see them until the status effect has run its course, you should of course be able to still hear them though. Comparable to perks that cause you not to see any downed survivors, but now healthy ones are included.
Though that might be too OP against SoloQ.
-
Mother's Dwelling because it's too big. Ormand deserves a mention as well.

I got matched up against this player again??? WHY?! Seriously f this game.

NGl I liked my Killer games a heck of a lot more back when DH was meta. With DH you could at least bait it out, mind-game or try to use it to your advantage and worst case scenario eat it.
But with so many speed and endurance effects in play now, it's just chase from one pallet to the next while survivors hold W. So it's go for gen-jockeys. Because usually you can't even mind-game survivors, most of them just run from one pallet to the next.
It's true though, in SoloQ, usually die more often because of my teammates not doing much or downright sandbagging, or on my 1st hook after having looped the killer for several gens/get face-camped to death.
To give you an example of the type of teammates in SoloQ: last night I had a game where 1 teammate got grabbed off a gen, and suddenly they gave up, I looped the killer for a LONG time and zero gens popped, after 15 min I just went to the killer. While on hook, I saw my 2 other teammates just stand around and hide. Apparently they were just holding keys and would walk to the edges of the map not doing anything, just standing. For 20+ minutes... I reported them and moved on, but I feel horrible for that poor killer who had to sit through that BS.

what are those???

Grab right as the pallet was dropped? Which would cause the server to both recognise the grab and the pallet drop (thus negating the stun)?
He did get stunned but still got the grab 🤷

Yes, I did. Hence me saying ping OR SERVER.
That being said though, you can't really exclude ping as an option, even if you have good ping. While you don't know exactly what ping the killer has (except if it's past .... 140? Is that when the icon shows up?) it can still be high enough to cause such issues for ping sensitive killers - and Wekser is a very ping sensitive killer when it comes to his M2.
Course, pallets are historically buggy as well; there have been serveral instances where survivors/killers would get stuck in dropped pallets / were unable to drop an undropped pallet etc. - but most often even that seems to have been triggered by something ping/server related more often than not.
I mean I asked the killer player about it afterwards, their ping was between 30-40. We were both kinda stumped. The odd thing is that he got stunned but still had me inside of the pallet and was able to walk away while carrying me😅
I think it might be a Wesker thing, the same as how DH bugs out against him, or at least it used to not too long ago. Or indeed a pallet thing, I've noticed that vacuuming is happening again as well so who knows
-
@Halloulle said:
more than anything ping and how events get processed server side. Wesker gets quite some of those funny ones - but there's a lot of funny instances around pallets. One of my alltime favourites was getting the prompt to drop the pallet but getting downed before it happened... or so I thought. Half a second later the drop & stun went through, so my character got back up for the animation .... pallets in this game are weird. Don't overthink. Blame it on ping / servers and 9/10 times you're right.
Did you even read the post? I said it WASN'T ping related.
-
The number of posts asking for this goes back years, but the Devs for some reason never see these posts. They only see what they want to see I guess.

I mean, Blight and Nurse 100% deserve to be nerfed. Which is not happening somehow. Not at all for Blight and at least not in a good way for Nurse.
And if we look at Wesker for example - I think his powerlevel is good.
And now, since you want to buff other Killers... Please tell me how would you buff Trapper, the Killer who needs to pick up his power from the ground so that he is at the same powerlevel like Wesker.
I don't understand why Trapper can't also get his traps from lockers, it wouldn't necessarily buff him but you could play him way more efficiently. Besides you have lockers everywhere on the maps thanks to Dredge.

NOED is the only one here that makes any sense. No Way Out encourages killers to hook everyone once and rewards them accordingly. Blood Warden- killers have to hook someone for it to activate, it punishes those who want to t bag at exit gates and really isn’t that powerful.
I didn't say that they are strong. That said, they're all second-chance perks for the killer though, regardless of their conditions.
-
The same can be said about NOED, Blood Warden, and No Way Out, why is the killer being rewarded for not finishing their objective before 5 gens have popped or heck even when the gate has been opened? Why be rewarded by a perk that insta-downs survivors and rewards a killer who hasn't been doing so otherwise?
Both sides have those types of perks. If you want to remove or nerf one side then you have to do the same with the other side to keep it balanced.

Yeah you still need to provide video evidence and make a customer support ticket for cheating.
The new reporting feedback feature tells you if a report was acted on in-game, it doesn't change the reporting process itself.
Per the Game rules: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408586444308-What-actions-will-result-in-a-permanent-ban-
I'd still report a user advertising things like that in the game though, just in case.
Aah okay, good to know and will do. Thanks! ^^
-
Considering the Devs plan chapters months ahead, maybe they're going to add more maps to these new realms sometime in the future? I think the bigger issue is the BW clutter overall, and honestly, map-offerings are the least of our problems where the BW is concerned.
The number of useless add-ons, items, etc. you're forced to buy just to get the actual item or perk you want, makes zero sense. I wish they would add a "resell" option, so you could at least get your BP back for the things you didn't want to buy in the first place.
-
No, thanks.
They're fine as is. Also who even uses Lightborn?

This is different, because Sabotage is not a built-in counter to Trapper. The mentioned Killers have built-in counters in their Kit. It would be the same if the Survivors can find Metal Detectors against Trapper.
@Topic:
The thing is, counters make it possible that the Killer abilities are actually strong. Singularity and Alien would need to be much weaker if you cannot use EMPs or Turrets.
Wdym, you can undo GF's powers by just looking at him from behind a bush or literally anything, and it requires nothing time-consuming from the survivors either. My point is, countering a killer's power is nothing new.
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
Singularity with EMPs. Now Alien with flamethrowers. Looks like it is going to be a blast spending half your time getting your power taken away, just like it is with Singularity and EMPs.
I mean they already could by sabbo-ing Trapper's traps? How is it something new?

Yea. Literally had an ace with bond who ratted me out while i did 2 gens total on my own. And he didnt even move one bit when a nea was on hook. Saw him with kindred and i went for the save instead. I sure did report. Yet im sure killer will go unpunished because...its their job basically.
Yep, I wish I recorded my games then I would have SO much proof on both of those types of players. It's very frustrating.

I don't encounter it too often either. Sure here and there I get a few sus moments where I think that's what's going on but I don't like to accuse people without knowing. It's rare form me to have instances where I'm in situations where I'm saying "Yeah, I'm 100% sure that survivor is working with the killer".
IDK I just had my 3rd game in a row that it's happening. Might be an EU server thing?
-
The amount of games I had like this in the past couple of days has been astounding. Survivors either abusing Bond to point out other survivors who are actually trying to play. Or the killer who decides to work with survivors who tried to end themselves on hook, and targets the ones that are actually doing gens and trying to progress the game... lovely "community" we have.
-
I mean getting beat on hook beats getting chainsawed on hook by Bubsy/Billy's. But worse of all will forever be other survivors who "try" to unhook you and let go non-stop *shakes fist at Fengs*
Either way, as a killer I do it sometimes just to prevent myself from getting tinnitus, considering the Devs of this game have shown that they want their players to turn deaf :) 'More realistic screams' 'goes better with the hook timing' mhm, sure 🤡

I've tried a few round with the killer.
Basically half of my experience is that my power is being denied by survivor's counter measures.
The other half wasn't much more interesting : I don't really enjoy using the pods.
I think I dislike it more than The Twins and The Artist. (Because it's power can be denied so easily.)
I've gone against some Singularity gamers that placed their pods so well, and it was just as oppressive as a 3-gening SM. Aside from that they used their power really well in chase as well. So I think there certainly is a way to make him very strong, but perhaps you need more time to get used to him? Maybe play with his add-ons or other perks a bit?

Make a casual mode.
- No SWF
- No Nurse/Blight
- Heavy protection against tunneling, slugging, and camping
- Only brown items and addons
- No exhaustion or regression perks
- No map offerings allowed
- Fully anonymous where you load into the game immediately. No post game chat either.
I think it would work if done correctly.
The only way casual mode would work is if you losing or winning didn't count towards anything other than getting bloodpoints.
Because of the fact that now if you lose too many games in a row you get stuck in mmr-hell and get teammates that are all Blendettes or Dwights who hide in lockers. This forces you to try-hard and win, so that you get matched with people that are actually on your level as much as that's possible what with how sbmm works 😅
Either that or the "winning" objectives of this game need to change as a whole.

Because Monstrous Shrine is the perk that changes basement hooks into Scourge hooks, that's the point.
You're increasing your Scourge Hook resource, that costs something, in this case a perk slot.
Yes, and? I didn't ask you to describe MS to me. Also, its main objective is to accelerate the sacrificing process. What does that have to do with PR?
I'm asking to apply the basement hook aspect of it to PR, that's an entirely different thing.

You have to pass the locker to get the window vault prompt.
The same issue occurs at the top of Thompson House.
This ^
The same happens on Grim Pantry. No matter how you're running towards it you'll still jump into the locker instead of vaulting the window next to it.
-
@ThatRedPyramidThing said:
Has anyone else experienced a feeling of missing Hits that should have landed ever since the Nic Cage patch?
Or is it just in my head?
Yes, and not just at vaults but sometimes also at pallets. Where I'm aiming at the survivor and am literally on top of them but all of a sudden I get rotated and hit the pallet instead, like what??
On the survivor side, it's also a bit different if you have a pallet/vault close to one another, sometimes you get vacuumed to the other. Like let's say you wanted to drop a pallet, but instead vault the window that's close to it. And no, before this didn't happen. I know because I have played on those maps with that pallet/vault spawn many times.

I wasn’t trying to twist your words. Perhaps I misread and I apologize. It’s just that I am still concerned BHVR is still not fixing other issues that cause these things to happen.
I think high ping in general needs to be looked at because don’t get me wrong, I too find it very frustrating getting hit from a football field away.
You're all good. Sorry, I was a bit frustrated by my games back then 😅 But yes, high pings really need to be looked into, same as so many people getting DDOS-d.

Dont call it VPNing like its some crazy strat, their just avoiding ddos
Either you haven't been playing this game for long enough or not at times when this has happened. I remember back when old Haddonfield with its infinite loops still existed (around that time), people used VPN-ing for such strats a lot. Same as lag switching. Both of these issues became less prevalent after some of the changes BHVR started incorporating, but on EU servers this type of thing still happens. Don't get me wrong of course there are also people who just use VPN for their own safety.

Probably has something to do with this. This is what 3/5 of my games look like. Also for the record, the James teabagged hardcore at hatch after running across the entire map with MFT+Hope.
This is why you only see Blights/Nurses/Weskers/Spirits.
This might be the case where you have those types of survivors with such builds and for people playing the stronger killers, however, what I've noticed is that people forget how to counter the other killers. If someone is playing Demo then people all of a sudden don't know what to do lol.
Also, I see that you won regardless. So I guess you're in the right MMR/versing the right type of survivors. Except for the BM-ing James.

For add-ons, not likely for a few reasons.
- The data wouldn't be interesting or useful. Whereas perks have a roughly equal chance of being obtained - barring DLC/shrine requirements - add-ons have different chances to appear depending on their rarities. The top 10 would be full of low rarity but somewhat helpful add-ons that provide small improvements to your power.
- Killer popularity would heavily sway those stats. A somewhat popular add-on for the most popular Killer could easily outrank a very popular add-on for a lesser played Killer.
- Add-ons are unique to each Killer, so directly comparing them to one another in a single top 10 doesn't do much good. Meanwhile separate top 10s for each Killer is also out of the question when there's currently 32 Killers and counting (I sadly do not have enough time in the day to prepare all of those stats). But even if we did, going back to the first point, you would almost always see that the lower rarity add-ons are used more purely because they're easier to get.
I'm always down for more transparency, but it's not really worth the time it takes to gather all that data just to reveal that common things are common.
That's very understandable. I didn't know you had to (perhaps manually) gather the data on all the statistics, I thought it was always automated via the use of certain programs. That being said, there are certain Killers' add-ons that really need to be looked into but haven't been in a while. So it would've been really interesting to see some sort of data on a specific killer, Blight for example that uses Alch Ring and the number of games that are won vs the usage of other add-ons. But that might be way too much data to sift through. Thanks for your explanation though!
