  • Cyberpunk '77: Phantom Liberty just got released with Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, I mean, what more do you need really?

Resident Evil also released Seperate Ways.

Peope are back to school/uni/work and might not play. DBD will be fine, it always is.

  • I'd say John Wick, but I don't think the Entity would survive him.

Wednesday from Adam's family, or the Hand would be nice lol. Tiniest survivor on par with Victor 🤣

  • Distortion is my ride or die.

  • My first survivor was Meg (because of her perks and being one of the OG ones). This might sound odd, but her movements feel a lot more smoother to me than that of any other character.

I also play a lot of Jill, Leon, and Los. But Los feels SO bulky and weird lol, whereas Leon doesn't as much. Carlos feels like you're moving a block 💀 in comparison to how smooth walking, running, vaulting with Meg/Jill feels. IDK, does that make sense? You can compare it to how certain vehicles are in GTA, some are smooth as hell and others are horrendous and have you smashing the cheatcodes against the cops ya'know.

I play both roles equally. I'm entitled to have an opinion regarding both roles.

Killer and survivor mmr are vastly different from one another though. You have a lot of control over your games as killer, whereas as a survivor you're dependent on three others, be it 3 randoms or not. So while survivor might seem ez mode, that's certainly not the case in soloq or always the case regardless of who you're playing it with.

However, it is very true that survivors are wasting a heck of a lot less time on doing any other side objectives but doing the gens, which makes them pop a lot faster than before. So in a sense, it seems like gens are going faster, but in actuality, they're not. It's just if you chase the wrong survivor and you don't have any strats or perks to fall back on, in case u want a 4k, then you have a problem.

  • @HexHerbz said:

Has anyone else notice how fast the gens seem to be at the min ? I'm struggling to win with meme builds which was never the issue before, I even tried gen defence perks and the gens seem to quick even with those builds on. I know its irrelevant but I've been playing for 5 years and its never felt this bad before. Love to know your thoughts?

Is it a specific killer you're playing as or just in general?

I usually have that issue with Nemesis if I try any fun build without any gen-related perks. I don't have that, however, with Ghosty because of his insta-down.

  • I look forward to the anti-camping mechanicz though I do think it will probably incentivise tunneling more lol.

As for Boring Merchant, I couldn't care less if I never saw her again. The Dredge can do to her as he did to Maurice. Good riddance, and stay away, unkike that damn snitch horse.

We keep shack pallet for the next game.

    This ^

Jokes aside though, shack pallet can be very strong in mid-to-late game scenarios. Especially when all other pallets have been dropped already. But to throw a game and grieve someone because of that is just childish. Unless you're injured and about to die, I wouldn't personally drop any pallet. But greed them for late-game. That's excluding scenarios against insta-downing killers like Michael/Ghosty etc.

When jolt was released, it caused survivors on gens to scream. At some point early on it was removed and never stated in the patch notes. As far as I'm concerned, it's a longstanding bug that was finally fixed as the devs have yet to state whether jolt is intended to cause survivors scream or not.

I'm pretty sure I saw a Dev within the last month state that blocked gens are meant to still take damage from instant effects, they are just immune to regression.

That wasn't the case with Jolt for a long while though, maybe they removed that effect because of old PR. In it's current description is says this:

    jolt desc.png

Nothing is stated about survivors screaming and letting go of gens. As for Deadlock, the gens are regressing.

Edit: on the wiki page it says that with patch 7.0.0 Jolt got buffed with the whole screaming thing, but if you look up the patch notes of 7.0.0 nothing is said about Jolt. So WTH is it?

  • We'll see once the PTB drops. Also both Plague and Artist can be very strong killers, so that doesn't sound too bad to me.

  • Maybe just wait out the PTB first, play it, try out the new mechanics, and then give constructive criticism? IDK just an idea 🤷

I for one, love that she is becoming more chase-based from the sounds of it. Considering that is the most fun aspect of the game and not staring at gens repeatedly. Unless they put a picture of Michael on the gens, then I wouldn't mind the staring.

Just pointing out a flaw in your argument you're acting like the tiny hitbox isn't a thing when in fact it's tiny and its funny how you use Nemesis as an example when its known that her hitbox is smaller and shorter than his lol

heck the big reason why a lot of xeno players hit shots like that now is due to the ability to drag the tail with the camera which is something a lot of console players can't do really well I've seen a lot of clips on Twitter where xeno straight up misses survivors up close and if it was as big as you claim wouldn't happen

Edit to include links to some clips

    https://twitter.com/cyndalavosion/status/1702387108533641520?t=w7Y4Fcpo8vJvWq2_juMOsg&s=19

    https://twitter.com/demoxdog/status/1702396754765697212?t=0R4grUU4YAASAFv7HG3gEA&s=19

I used Nemesis as an example because the OP literally talked about him? Maybe learn to read first, and respond second.

As for console players, they're not the majority, so none of the buffs/nerfs should be based around them. They make the choice to play this game on console knowing fully well that they MIGHT not play it as optimally as other platforms. The hitbox isn't tiny, get your proof first, then come talk nonsense afterwards. Or maybe spare us both the time and get skilled at playing Xeno or just not play it at all if all you're going to do is whine about a bug that got fixed and a minor nerf.

Now tell me if those xeno players are console players or pc players because at this point console xeno's aren't even going to try those plays until they get godly with their aim lol

I will for sure tell you because I keep a record of every single gamer I go up against and I write down what they play on, how dusty it is, what gaming chair they have, what they had for breakfast and so on. There is ofc no possibility of people on consoles being good as well, my bad 🙄

  • Sounds like skill issue to me.

Nemesis doesn't have that much of a difficult hitbox, you just need to practice it and get a feeling for it. I've gone against Xeno gamers who have hit me from above these:

    RPD.png

And around corners. So you cannot convince me that his hitbox is "tiny" or very difficult. Nor is it THAT punishing, missing a hit has down for literally every killer.

  • DBD is like a roach or the Nokia 3310. It won't die, despite everything that goes wrong with it.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

It was a bugfix AND a nerf which happened at the same time. The cooldown movement speed before was supposed to be 2m/s, sometimes the bug made it 4.6m/s. Now the bug is fixed AND the speed was reduced to 1.2m/s (rightfully so imo, as the previous speed wasn't punishing enough for missing). Two separate things happened here.

It's still negligible. Xeno has the most BS hitboxes since Wesker, but his at least didn't hit you over most tiles, wheras Xeno's do. So if people are already tripping over themselves just because of the speed change... who has skill issues then?

This post has been one of the most dramatic posts in a while. Do you guys need a wave-shaped couch to faux-faint on? An Oscar for Best Dramatic performance?

  • How is fixing a bug equal to Xeno getting nerfed? At this point, some of you guys are just using words you don't know the definitions of.

Every single killer has a cooldown after missing an attack, no one should be an exception to it.

Tail goes up to attack on the first screenshot, dude starts dodging on the 2nd SC as indicated by the head starting to turn.

If after 2 weeks of xeno being in DBD you still don't grasp that the tail going up + the whoosh sound IS the cue, then you have undeniable skill issue.

All in all don't be blatantly lying to spin a narrative that isn't true.

God forbid people having actual lives outside of this game and not knowing the ins and outs of every killer that has been released in just two weeks. How dare people not know them thoroughly by then? Undeniable skill issue indeed. Give me forking break.😑

It’s no fun walking around the map, and finding zero survivors, because they are all excessively hiding, and they are dodging all the tracking perks the killer brought to that game.

It’s no fun walking from generator to generator, finding zero survivors, because they are all pre leaving generators when their visual terror radius lights up.

Calm spirit literally stops the survivor from alerting crows.

that's assuming everyone is using it. No one is using Calm Spirit

  • @OneAutmLeaf said:

Im talking about Distorion and Calm Spirit,

    Distortion counters all aura perks

which would be fine but the fact you get max stacks at the begining of the match makes it kinda to strong rework could be like

start with 0 stacks and gain stacks the same way you normally do.

having 4 free stacks at the start is very unfair, that would be like getting play with your food stacks just for loading into the match instead of working for them just dosent make sense.

    Calm Spirit

    literally counters Doctors Entire kit

but ontop of distortion hiding auras calm spirit negates screams so it makes perks like

Face the Darkness and Ultimate Weapon a waste of a perk slot, Im fine with there being some good stealth perks but survivors should at least have to work to get value from them, why is it a common theme that killers need to work to get value from there perks but survivors just get value for having them.

I get this is supposed to be a party game and all but that dosent mean the killers need to constantly fight tooth and nail or sweat there butts off just to have a good time either.

You know what counters all of them? Literally watching the crows on the maps. ISTG the number of times I've found Blendetets, comp Ace's and Urban Evading Nea's by just watching for crows that fly away or fly back towards an area has been so frikkin sweet *evil laughter* zero perks needed for that ^^ gotta love the snitch crows <3

Exactly this, I find so far that facing the xeno tends to be a game of ongoing chases and spread damage, there is very little down time while the killer just guards a hook or guards a 3 gen.

It's kinda refreshing, you gotta attribute some of that to a strong chase mechanic. Everyone moans about uninteresting play but when they get interesting play they want it nerfed because you can't just braindead you way through pre-drop pallets against it.

    This community baffles me sometimes.

It reeks of typical mob think, where no one really knows what they want but if they get it they'll hate it because they don't know what they want and are angry about it.

I want his tail not to reach me around a dang corner or when I'm so far away that I could be on the Moon and it is STILL being able to reach me. How about that, hm?

Chase and so on and is all fun and games but BS hits remain BS hits.

    In this thread, yes.

FoV-Slider comes at the end of the year of Q1 2024, IF BHVR manages it.

EGC-Mori was just TESTING, it was never intended to directly install it after the PTB. In an AMA 3 months ago, the devs confirmed that Basekit Unbreakable and EGC-Mori wont come.

3-Genning is in the works, as they already did with massive nerfs to Call of Brine (125% instead of 200%), Eruption (no more Incapacitated-Effect) and some maps are adjusted.

Look at you being able to read Mandy's one comment. Good job Glen Coco. BHVR has said that things are "in the works" for years. You haven't played this long enough to know. SO stop wasting my time.

Can we get an alternative to Nemesis and his zombies already? You guys have said before that you didn’t want to hinder a killer or make a power base work with flashlights or other items such as burning wraith with flashlight or getting rid of the hag traps. But you left nemesis out of the equation with his zombies. Could we get a way to distract the zombies without using resources??

You can distract them, by literally getting their attention and leading them away. Costs you no resources, but time, like all other interactions do e.g. removing hags traps, undoing Trapper's traps etc.

  • And you have all of them? Lmao

  • They'll probably add it in 6 years. Like they were going to do something about IDK face-camping? EGC Mori? 3-gens?

Will end game chat ever be implemented for consoles? Just seems kinda odd to have cross-platform play but no way to talk to one another.

You're truly better off without. Trust.

  • Wesker, first and foremost because he is from Resident Evil. Second, he is one of the most well-balanced killers in the game. He is strong but not overbearing, he is great in chase, and both his passive and active powers are good.

Ghostface: I love his franchise (wish we had Gale/Sydney, but alas the license is just his mask). His insta-down ability is pretty good, and out of most of the killer roster, his brown add-ons are my favourite, they're actually really good AND useful. He is okay-ish in chase/as an M1-killer nothing to write home about, but I like him regardless. Also he has some very nice skins, on which I spent way too much money on :) and probably will do so again.

  • No one with experience is saying that he is S-tier.

What it is though is going scott-free without any reprimands when it misses an M2. It doesn't have proper audio cues, unlike literally the entire killer roster. It can get a tail hit on all loops over every type of wall/debris. It can even hit you from around corners, even when not injured.

WHeras with huntress/Nemi those all differ and have conditions, Xeno has none.

  • @Chomperka said:

Yes, that is an accurate display of it being Wesker's fault and not the gamer behind said killer who does it 🤡 or the Ash standing there next to him as well. Nope, all on Wesker.

  • @Emoba said:

Yeah, no. I'll take Wesker over Xeno any day.

Same, at least he doesn't have BS hits all over a pallet or around corners (???) like how is that even possible that it's able to hit around a corner when you're not even injured?

  • In most games 250 hours would be a lot, but in DBD it's kinda beginners' hours. I'm between 2.5-3k hours and will still sometimes walk into walls 💀

There will be games where I can loop the killer for 3+ gens and games where I can't loop for longer than 1 minute. I can mindgame most Nurses, but give me Billy and I'm dead lol. I think the more active you are the more game-sense you'll get. Also it really depends on which killers you face more often, because that gives you more experience playing against them and also who your teammates are.

  • I had a teammate do this to all survivors, then one of them dc-d and got replaced by the bot and they kept even griefing the bot. It really shows the state of some of the people who play this game.

  • The amount of killers I had tunnel me out because of this challenge was both laughable and pathetic.

  • They're still bugged. Had a match against them and Charlotte can't hit or down anyone, only Victor can attack/down. This was on Steam.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/390510/ultimate-weapon-movement-killers

We should not be making balance decisions on perks because of nurse and blight. They are their own problem and shouldn't cause perks to get nerfed. The base killer needs changes.

Yet BHVR has time and time again nerfed perks or other killers instead of touching Nurse and Blight, for some reason they're allergic to changing anything about them.

The perk should have a longer cooldown, 30s is a joke for high-mobility killers.

  • Agreed. Going against a Nurse with all aura-reading perks and this perk was just too much. At that point as a killer you're just on cruise control.

  • "have been a non stop baby cage for the typical Survivor mains to cry, scream and throw all their toys all over the place because of the Xenomorph.."

If every single one of those gamers who have stated such things are "baby survivors" and you're finding yourself having issues going against them, because of some hypothetical nerfs your mind has created, then that's a skill issue on your side.

The Devs have repeatedly stated that they change (be it buff or nerf) around statistics AND what they want from their game. Meaning how they want their game to be. Not how the players want it to be per se.

Unless it's a special case like Nurse, bc nerfing her would make her literally Unplayable.

Lol. Like I said, skill issue. And that's coming from someone who plays both sides equally and not a hypocritical, presumptuous Killer main, crying about hypothetical scenarios.

  • MMR is loosey-goosey at best. Despite that, it doesn't correlate with P100 players. Prestiged survivors do not equal skill. Now a prestiged killers might, but even THEN it's questionable. It could also just mean someone played during an event, got a shitton of BP, and spent it all on 1 character.

  • The only thing that's truly BS is the difference between male and female characters in their vaults. Like really BHVR? What type of person coded that one in? JFC.

  • @LeFennecFox said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/390051/dbd-is-turning-from-good-to-bad

The perks only suck in solo queue and you have to think of it like the killer just spent a decent bit of time because of bad rng chasing someone and now your down means nothing because you have one perk that makes it nearly impossible to hook you.

That and also you might go against the type of killers who think that by taking a hit to get a sabo or Breakout active you're "throwing" the match and thus will slug everyone until you all bleed out. Those were fun matches against sweaty Blights!!! Not like there was an archive challenge with sabo or anything, nope, just survivors hellbent on throwing games :)

  • @mikewelk said:

I've seen lots of commotion about Xeno being a fair killer so this should be a easy question to answer.

Pyramid Head has a similar ability but he has a sound cue AND a whole animation before he's able to release his ability. Nemesis can't injure people with his tentacle unless they're infected beforehand and this also has a animation and a sound cue. Huntress also has a sound cue and animation when she brings her hatchets out. Deathslinger also has a sound cue and animation. Remote Flame Turrets can be scattered around the entire map but Xenos will always be in Crawling Mode 24/7 due to how weak the turrets are. The ability has no cooldown. The ability can guarantee a hit for any animation-locking action. The Crawling Mode allows easy mind-games and when a survivor loses one, it's a guaranteed hit with the ability (lose/lose). The Crawling Mode recovers way too fast for how much turrets it is worth. The ability can go over smaller loops rendering them useless. The ability makes destroying pallets unnecessary. The ability can hit over pallets. The ability can hit over vaults. A person did the math calculations that proved you literally need to predict the attack because you won't be able to react in time.

A common argument I can predict is about hitbox. That's irrelevant. Realistically, no one will get 50ms ping or less every game thanks to the terrible servers. Absurd hits are bound to hit no matter the hitbox.

Give Xeno mains more time to practice their tail attacks and your opinions will change, especially once they stop falling for vault/pallet baits. The argument that Xeno has only been out a couple of days doesn't diminish their potential for a high skill ceiling. For the meantime, please show me your perspective on this situation. I'm not implying that the ability needs to be nerfed to the ground before anyone calls me a survivor main, but the least BHVR could do is add a cooldown.

Just give it a few weeks. They all come out the gate too powerful, BS hitboxes, and so on and so forth, and after the hype has died down a bit they get nerfed into the ground or to a normal degree. Same as they did with Wesker. But first, they need to make enough money on their license :)

  • A lot of these perks would be fine if they didn't all stack. But it's a matter of time before they nerf MFT into the ground as well.

Like our old friend Dead Hard.

That statement is true for high MMR matchmaking as well. But if it makes you happy, I can say "70% of the roster" instead, so it's not an exaggerated number.

    there is no high mmr.

  • I'm getting this still, after every single match on both sides. I verified game files and so on, but nothing helped.

  • Tunneling gamers will tunnel regardless of how old or new/good or bad a killer is. It's a moot point.

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3530288#Comment_3530288

Why do you think that's the case? The feature should be only about hiding that number to fellow teammates/killer before the match starts. You can even show it after the match if all you care about that. It's just about reducing lobby dodging by both killers (survivors have high prestige) and survivors (teammates have low prestige). It's not about charms or skins or anything else

I didn't see the line about being able to see it after the match, was scan-reading it. P100-ing still makes no sense to me regardless of ######### it does. Though it doesn't correlate with the skills of survivors.

Everybody has a different reason for their commitment to a character. I just love my main's character design, lore, fashion and collecting items on her. I couldn't care less to have a P100 as a "show-off".

    kay? good for you?

  • If they implement it the whole concept of 'prestiging' would lose its meaning and appeal. Why would anyone P100 any character then? Considering the fact that you're not getting anything skins/charm-related out of P100-ing anyway.

  • @Xernoton said:

I believe it was Mandy, who clarified that a while ago.

It was stated that there is something in the works to fix the 3 gen issue but it was not meant to affect 3 gens that were caused by the survivors themselves.

I agree 100% that holding a 3 gen from start to finish should not be an effective strategy. It's probably the least fun way to play this game and it takes 0 effort.

However, over the last couple of weeks gens have been flying. Some of my matches yesterday didn't even last 4 minutes. And as you can guess, the survivors did rush themselves into 3 gens quite a few times. Had I tried to defend them I might have stood a chance but I decided against it.

But I digress. My point is, that when gen speeds and efficiency are at a high, then it doesn't make sense to punish the killer for something that the survivors messed up themselves. Meaning, natural 3 gens should not be affected by whatever feature it is that you are working on.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526778#Comment_3526778

It's funny because you couldn't be further from the truth. I don't run gen regress in 90% of my killer matches and I don't focus on 3 gens. If I would, than I'd lose a lot more with my most used loadout.

But it is a nerf. Just as the anti camping mechanic is a nerf. I'm not saying it's bad that these aspects of the game are changed but this will impact the balance of the game and force further buffs to killers.

There should be buffs to certain killers, especially the average M1-killers. But that's a different topic.

  • @Tsulan said:

The amount of survivors that accidentally 3 genned themselfes during the weekend was really astonishing. Like cool, you finished 4 gens while i only got 2 hooks. Now the last 3 gens are all next to each other *claps slowly*

This is different. Also, DBD was free to play this weekend. So those were just a lot of new survivors trying to play the game.

I'm speaking on the fact that this has been going on since Knight was released. It's a very easy strat because of how their kit is set up + how the layout of certain maps is.

I don't have an issue with a killer 3-gening when it happens naturally, what I do have an issue with is the rise in gamers that start the game with a build to do that from the get-go. I even went against a Blight ffs that was doing that, A BLIGHT? Why would you as a high-mobility, with one of the best anti-looping powers, feel the need to go for 3-genning?? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

    @[Deleted User] said:

I see a lot "just be proactive and break the 3 gen" takes. This works in low level play or when the killer isn't actively trying to 3 gen.

But it's opposite of how you would attack a 3 gen in high level play when the killer is playing for a hard 3 gen and won't leave it. You need to clear out all the other gens to give yourself space to W away from the 3 gen without friendly fire. And you need all 4 survivors patiently picking away at it. You're not going to break a hard 3 gen because one survivor has Deja Vu. You're talking about a completely different scenario.

Genuinely the only one who understands the actual problem.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

I have broken many 3 gens. Oh the audacity...

Not with a knight or skull merchant. Because I never even see them.

Saw exactly 1 sm. She didn't 3 gen.

I feel like every time it happens each of the 4 survivors comes here and creates a post. So it looks like it happens more than it actually does. Cause if it's this rampant, why am I not seeing it at all?

Good for you go buy a cake and celebrate it.

I've had this happen for months on end, as stated if you had actually read the post since Knight came out. This happens a lot in Soloq, and there isn't much to be done about it.

Yet we see people complaining about it. BHVR themselves said they do not want to punish killers for the survivors' mistakes but here we are with another post that demands 3 gens get nerfed.

lmao calling it a nerf, seems like you're the type of gamer that needs a 3 gen in order to win. Got it.

  • so uhmm... can Michael be added to that as well? He is a new survivor *whistles innocently* 😗
