  • I would say it's likely to happen, but probably not any time soon.

i feel obliged to point out i dont condone going next or promote "negative gameplay" because its against forum rules….however i do think the warning in pre match lobby is nice, it gives people the choice to ready up or leave the lobby if they are not happy with it. better than just doing it in the match with no warning imo.

Oh no, I will just not notice terror radius and keep working on gen… happens to best of us

Uk for me, the frequency of the killer appearing in my survivor matches does seem less frequent the past couple days but as soon as people see its krasue, they instantly give up/go next/DC. people even say in pre match lobby chat they will go next if its krasue and everyone in the lobbies usually reply with "fair" "based" "same" or "understandable"

people even say in pre match lobby chat they will go next if its krasue

I will have to start doing this and probably include Ghoul…

  • Yeah, I am not even close getting any of them to 10…

I dislike quest system a lot, definetly downgrade for me compare to challenges. Less interesting, worse rewards, more grind.

I dislike that you now have to rely so heavily on dailies to max out your rift. The milestones used to give 10 scaling up to 100 fragments per tier, 38 levels total. Now they give 17 total if you even manage to max them out, making you rely heavily on the dailies to complete the rift. It's a big difference for players that don't want to play every single day but instead play the game in bursts at a time, it feels pretty FOMO to make the dailies so crucial to level up.

The improved dailies are welcome, but they nerfed both the fragment gain and requirements to the milestones so hard that completing the rift at your own pace feels impossible, especially with how harsh the new requirements are for the milestones. The only reason I was able to get to max tier is by ensuring I played every single day to get the overimportant dailies in, otherwise I probably wouldn't make it.

I'm really hoping they both fix the milestone requirements to be more reasonable and make the rift fragment rewards scale properly with these milestones next rift.

Also needing to complete every single weekly challenge to get the final weekly challenge reward is frustrating, though I managed.

    100% agree

I have finished all quests and event quests, but failed to finish rift simply because I usually can play only over weekends, but longer sessions. Issue is this approach was just heavily nerfed and you are forced to doing daily quests.

A build up would be nicer, I do agree.

Though if it were to build up, that begs the question if the auto-aim would be important or not considering the time sink to infect. Personally, I'd rather not keep the auto aim because from my small tests there's some interesting interactions with the environment you can do with the spray, but it would also depend on how quick a slow infection like Plague could work balance wise with other changes alongside it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4009048#Comment_4009048

I've found some counterplay, but it does depend on the loops and what you have available, as well as what the killer is running. It's mainly finding loops the head form has trouble managing even with the lunge, i.e. specific pallet loops that chain to windows to force them to break the pallet and leave head form, which isn't often but it can happen.

While it can vault pallets, it's can't vault windows as fast. And once I realized it can hit over small walls, I'd keep an eye for when it tries to attack over them and move accordingly (which is another thing I don't think should be a thing.)

What really irks me though are the mushrooms. Those should either be a slow-to-use and instant effect like the nemesis vaccines, or instant and takes a moment to cleanse, not both.

It's mainly finding loops the head form has trouble managing even with the lunge, i.e. specific pallet loops that chain to windows to force them to break the pallet and leave head form, which isn't often but it can happen.

I would guess most of them are if she knows correct way of looping it.
She is able to ignore dropped pallet in shack and it can't really be much stronger than that.

Sure, there might be some specific setup, but that's either going to be like 1, or 0 per map, so not really viable imo.
Issue is all of those are useless as soon she brings Bamboozle/Dissolution, then you really have nothing to do.

  • I wish they actually used consultants, because I refuse to believe they showed this to anyone competent in DBD.
People even on PTB were saying she is very strong with few limitations and they just removed her limitations…

  • So if you want to win you just have to be become one of best SWF in the world. Sounds balanced…

  • I would kinda like his current system, but he definetly needs buffs.

    • stalk range feels bad imo
    • I don't like you are so slow in T1 again
    • T2 seems kinda irrelevant
    • T3 is very slow, which means pallet break is weak when survivors can just stun you

I think his current form is rather weak and his power doesn't really justify all the information it gives to survivors.

It also seems like we have Oni situation again and Slaughtering Strike has way higher control on M&K. I can easily 180 at any point of the animation.

  • She is definetly salvageable, but right now simply super overtuned without really viable counterplay.

That can be mostly fixed with number changes tho.

  • If you don't want to sweat, then just go for 8 hooks and let them leave, or at least two of them.

8 hooks are kinda nice when you can see hook stages, I was always lazy to remember who I hooked…

    Yeah, let's talk about MFT.

While I'll admit this "got past the PTB" like the original person you quoted mentioned, the history and surrounding information about MFT is really not a good look.

It launched, and was around for about 6 months before getting gutted. During those 6 months, players screamed at the devs to change it. The most common complaints were:

    A) "effectively free, permanent haste breaks the game"

    B) "haste stacking is too strong, MFT+hope is broken".

So the devs listened, and nerfed the perk completely out of the meta. And since that patch, both of those main reasons have been proven to be complete lies and manipulation:

Haste was given to SM, trickster got a base kit 5%, and clown haste was buffed. And these were more than 3% haste values, defended by most of the same people. So 3% haste demonstrably doesn't "break the game".

Haste stacking was given it's own update to revamp and remove stacking across the board. All because the devs listened to feedback that haste stacking was "broken". Then, once they announced that it was universally being removed, people screamed again and asked them to keep it. So, apparently hate stacking doesn't break the game either.

So, essentially, a loud part of the community didn't like MFT, made up reasons to get it nerfed, was successful in getting the devs to listen, and then they screamed again at the devs for actually listened to what they said (haste is broken, stacking is broken), instead of listening to what they meant (please nerf MFT, I'll say anything to get it deleted).

So 3% haste demonstrably doesn't "break the game".

So you really think Haste has same impact on survivors and killers?

Let's see higher numbers. Do you think 10% on killer has same impact on the game as 10% on survivor? Not even close

It's amazing MFT defenders still exist…

  • Do we have Oni situation again?

I can easily do 180 and doesn't matter if it is start or end of the dash…

  • Why is it that whenever survivors get slightly strong perks or mechanics, they never make it past the PTB

    Wanna talk about MFT?

I have no idea. If I had, I would make Youtube videos about my matches.

But people complained about Huntress, and now they are fine. People complained about Bubba, and now they are fine. They even complained about Pig. Players always complain when a new killer enters the stage that needs a new playstyle to go up against.

It's not like those killers are exactly same as when they were released, they didn't get fixed simply by time. Especially Pig…

For some issues, there simply doesn't exist new playstyle.

  • If you mean broken as demolished, then yes.
If you mean broken as over powered, then lol…

  • @Milkymalk said:

I believe people just need to play against her differently from what they are used to. It was the same for Huntress when she came out, everyone was "a RANGED killer?" and whining all day about how unfair that is. Now she is considered one of the most fun and balanced killers and leader of any #played statistics.

I believe people just need to play against her differently from what they are used to.

    How?
What exactly can solo survivor do against her?

  • I don't believe this would really help, it would just make it worse.

You really want to see players writing essay of what they don't like instead of working on gen?
And voice chat will definetly get used to insulting other players instead of call outs , or just turned off permanently.

If you want something that would help, then I would go for chat wheel, so you can tell predefined messages quickly.

  • Unless they changed it, it doesn't

You are not capable of understanding what's written in patch notes without testing it for several days?
Kinda sad… Well, I don't have issue doing it

You claim this, but have no evidence to support it.

So list of what is worse and even showing you why shred is not big deal is not an argument and explaining it too.
But claiming he has shred, so he is better, while your own video doesn't back it up is supposed to be valid…

No, a list does not much convincing do. Its your opinion and I get you want to be heard, but I don't share it.
No, showing a specific example of standing still does not do that either.
No, that video was not supposed to show the usefulness of the Shred. It was to substantiate my experience.

Would it help you to see me get value from Shreds? Why?

You claim this, but have no evidence to support it.

Well, if you can treat personal experience as an "argument", so can I.
I love theory crafting and I am rarely wrong, so don't really have need to validate my predictions for multiple days just to stay at the same outcome.
If multiple people were having opposite experience, then I would go and validate my opinion more to see what's going on and either change my opinion on the topic, or find things to back up my view, but so far you are the only one who thinks otherwise in this case, so I don't have need to do it.

But don't worry devs also have an issue with theory crafting, so you are not alone :)

Would it help you to see me get value from Shreds?

Well, you claimed it as main reason, why he is supposed to be stronger than before, so it's supposed to be such a big deal that it overshadows all the nerfs he got, so I would kinda expect to see it to be used and get results...

  • He is definetly worse and he feels weaker than on PTB, because he was nerfed before getting live.

Not exactly I already provided arguments for that, but you guys just dismissed them because you don't think its useful.
Which isnt an argument. Other than that we already discussed how none of us will have any tangible evidence for one way or the other, only BHVR will get closest to that. And then I got the other guy to admit he wont even play it, I think you also managed to do that.

So I don't know why you are asking for evidence you should know I cant give you or repeat arguments you already dismissed.

You never stand under pallet waiting for what killer is going to do?

Against Wraith maybe when its safe, but no I run around to gain distance.
I'm not going to let a bad connection ruin my games.

Ignoring list of why he is worse I see.

    Im not ignoring your list,
I just don't see how valid in any way it could be if you have admitted to not having spent barely any time on him.

Kinda funny, when you have such a good stealth, yet you had to play with Unforseen…

I use a randomizer website to pick my perks. I didn't HAD to play with it.

I just don't see how valid in any way it could be if you have admitted to not having spent barely any time on him.

You are not capable of understanding what's written in patch notes without testing it for serveral days?
Kinda sad… Well, I don't have issue doing it.

Against Wraith maybe when its safe, but no I run around to gain distance.

If I am not injured, I have no reason to drop the pallet. Game even gives me sound to know when he is ready to dash.
at worst he will M1 and that's very good for me.

    Which isnt an argument.

So list of what is worse and even showing you why shred is not big deal is not an argument and explaining it too.

You said it yourself, its big trends that count. how do we get to big trends? when enough people add to the stats to create a big trend. looking at the big picture you have to take into account all players which would include my stats as an indicator. if people were saying they are now getting 3 or 4k easier than before then they would also be taken into account.

Unfortunately just making a list of thing you heard is not really what it takes to gather a big trend.
You got the part right about listening to what the Community says, but then you cross reference that with stats and survey data.

Could also just be everyone is kicking and screaming about it right now, and that it will be adopted in time.
I am definitely adopting Myers right now. How could you account for that with your lil study? Trick Question, You cant.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4007355#Comment_4007355

Ill grant you, when everyone stands perfectly still like would not happen in normal gameplay then yes, its easy to counter. Idk why you would think that would be a convincing argument, but yeah we can grant that…

    Whats next?

when everyone stands perfectly still like would not happen in normal gameplay

You never stand under pallet waiting for what killer is going to do?

Ignoring list of why he is worse I see. Well as positive you said basically pallet shred and stealth on command.
Kinda funny, when you have such a good stealth, yet you had to play with Unforseen…
What's even better, do you know how many pallets you managed to destroy with your shred in that video? 1 and it was already predropped
You say it makes him better, but survivors can easily react to it and stun you from it, if they are at least decent. It's just terrible compare to any other pallet destroying power.

I said I have not spend hours on him, because I find his rework to be failure. I have played old Myers quite a lot.

Wow, so strong and definetly not easy to ignore as survivor.

    While:

    • you are slower in T1
    • stalk has limited range
    • you can't instantly pop T3
    • you overall use it way slower, so harder to mindgame than with M1
    • Weaker addons
    • you can't stalk in T2 (kinda useless unless survivors are injured)
    • your instadown attack has cooldown
    • you are not M1 killer anymore, so less perk options
    • when stalk meter is full you are forced into T2, which has higher TR than before
    • you also have higher TR when you are in T3
    • survivors got back notifications about your stalking progress
  • Holy Otz, what the hell is this…

I know console can have an issue with aiming, but this is little bit too much, don't you think?

  • @Abbzy said:

Tbh its not that easy to hit you have to hit it directly or sim at something but the splahes arent that guarantee as hit because if survivor keeps running he can doge it compleatly. The splash is very depended on eviroment too, her problematic part is head form not the splashes.

She can also spam it as crazy and direct hits are enough, this is just too much.

Speed of M1 after this is 100% an issue, she is able to infect and M1 you when you vault, that's just too much.
If you want to make it this easy to hit, then it you should be punished way more for missing.

  • His iri addon worked like this even with just 2 orbs, no?

I mean the change in reality didn't change much for Oni.

The idea of giving him more blood orbs was mostly, because of anti-slugging feature. Oni and Twins are by far most affected by it.
I don't think 3 more orbs for hook would be anywhere near enough with how much worse he would be, if antislugging went live.

  • He can do basically 180 (more of a curve than flick), but I have to say I no longer really respect Oni's and find him more boring overall.

Thing is before when Oni managed to flick on me, it was something similar to when Billy curve and just something I would respect.
It's so easy to do on current Oni.

It feels usually nice to use, but it is slightly weaker (slower) and your range is also smaller. But I was quite good at old flicks, so it is kinda downgrade for me.

I mean, you act like you know, yet fail to back up your claims and try to cover it as skill issue.

You say his pallet breaking makes him good, yet his pallet breaking is worst from all killer powers in DBD.
Even his stealth is worse than before rework.

I don't need hundreds of games to figure out what is worse and what is better about him. And in my opinion there are more things worse than better.

Myers was not that strong killer to begin with, so I fail to see why would you need to nerf multiple aspects of his kit to balance few buffs.

True, I always try to play by rule of not using things I don't want to play against.

That's why I also did not play in past with MFT, or COH. I hated to play against it…
I just simply do same with killers and their addons.

  • Best buff for him would be, if maps had actually good hitboxes. He would be way better, if you did not have to work with invisible walls.

Also fix his iron sight on skins, basically only default skin for gun works properly and shoots where it shows. Rest of them aim higher than you shoot.

  • For my sake? Pinhead

For sake of others? Ghoul, Krasue

    ability to shred pallets

… but you can be stunned-

    Undetectable on Command

    has limited value

I'm beginning to think you might just be bad at playing new Myers if that is your assessment. In your hands perhaps.
or just super unserious about playing new Myers, Ill leave you to your defiance then jeez.

Or I just have better reactions than you and I can stun him from his power, it's just lunge speed…
If you compare it with other killers who can destroy pallets, he is way slower than Demo, Blight, or Billy, which makes it way easier to stun him instead of letting him destroy pallet.
Unlike Bubba he can't really fake his movement to get you drop the pallet, he is forced to go forward.

I doubt you even played him tho.

I have definetly not spend hours on new Myers, because I don't find it fun, but Scott did and I consider Scott to be at least decent killer player. Can't say that about you.

Well, by looking at his changes I would say he is objectively worse

There is no way you can determine objectivity from that, none of us could.
BHVR could by looking at the stats when they stabilize. Even if you think stats mean less.

So tell me why is his current version stronger. You for sure have some reasoning behind it and I would like to know.

Ok, his Undetectable on Command, ability to shred pallets is a huge reason he is better in my opinion. less time wasted elsewhere is more time to make a play that matters. But I thought this should be obvious from the changes.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4006677#Comment_4006677

we can only go on our own experiences and so far im seeing very few people say myers has been buffed.
but a lot saying its a nerf,

Like I explained to Pet, postulating the objectivity regarding these changes is meaningless, but both individual experiences can be true at the same time. Depending on what MMR we would be at the changes could affect us both positively and negatively.

It also depends on how much you go looking for other opinions, there are people who have been having good experiences with Myers and they have said so. I see such messages on critical posts of the Rework on Reddit all the time, getting disliked into oblivion ofc. I usually don't care what the Community says, because often they are wrong and I'm not supposed to be the arbiter of that.

what do you have to realistically demonstrate myers has been buffed?

Well stats is what you would need, which none of us have.
I don't even have gameplay recorded of Old Myers, so I cant demonstrate differences either.

whats your experience been like against or as myers?

My experience has been quite a lot of 4Ks until I faced people who play better and then it slowed down, now its 2Ks on average.
Against Myers, my solo Q team mates was rolled in dough, deep fried and eaten whole, but that's not really different from normal gameplay before this patch.

    https://youtu.be/6DFYJWAnHvk

I did record a few of my games, it will demonstrate my experience at least.
But it will take time to get really good at that Slaughtering Strike.

There is no way you can determine objectivity from that, none of us could.

But you can determinate he is definetly stronger?

ability to shred pallets is a huge reason he is better in my opinion

Ability to shred pallets might be good in theory, the issue is he is quite slow in it, so it's not that difficult to just stun him instead.

    his Undetectable on Command

That has limited value and not really that better to previous version anyway. It was easy for him to create TR 6m…

If this is all you can come up with, then he is definetly worse.

This part of your comment is kind of the issue isnt it,
how are we to know that you didnt face Myers's who didnt know what to do? Are you gonna asses that for us?

Nah I agree, there isn't much that can be said and BHVR looking at the stats will show where people are struggling.

You cant figure out how Myers is stronger with his new changes and you are looking for advice on how to use them?

Well, by looking at his changes I would say he is objectively worse, but you claim he is definetly stronger, so I expect you see something I don't.

So tell me why is his current version stronger. You for sure have some reasoning behind it and I would like to know.

They were doing exactly this for several years and that's how pig was nerfed multiple times and Nurse was claimed to be fine.
That's how several addons got nerfed (Demo, Nemesis), when all other addons were useless.

Looking at spreadsheed is not a good way to balance. They should look at stats, but it should not be primary tool. I believe players feedback is more important.

Its intended. This with the Off the Record nerf. This wasnt supposed to be an anti-tunnel update…this was secretly a pro-tunnel update all along. Oh boi oh boi did these devs sure bamboozle us.

As killer i also like it because I dont tunnel and often let ppl live so this helps me remember who i should not hook. But lets be real…its gonna be mostly for tunneling.

its gonna be mostly for tunneling.

I mean, it's useless for hard tunneling.

It can be used in end game to find survivor who is dead on hook, but that's not always going to be tunneling.

  • or movement speed… Kinda sucks you can easily stun him, so pallet break is useless.

First, you need to remove the animation when switching to Slaughtering Strike. Get rid of it. It was unnecessary and makes his power nearly useless by giving everyone time to set up a pallet stun.

No thanks, one of the main reasons Old Myers sucked was the 99 gameplay.
Here in Modern Dead by Daylight we give Survivors a chance to gain some distance or a fair warning before giving the Killer such a Powerful Tool as Slaughtering Strike.

Please BHVR DO NOT remove the Cooldown it isnt fair to new people to find an undetectable Killer and then boom instantly dead. The average player does not want to play against that.

Second, you need to remove the cooldown to Slaughtering Strike. It already has an induction, it doesn't also need a cooldown.

Absolutely not, with a little practise you can easily hit Survivors very fast with Slaughtering Strike. Having no cooldown would make Killers who master this skill insufferable.

Here is what BHVR should do instead of doing changes this soon, Look at the statistics not only at Player Feelings.
Myers is definitely stronger than before and way more action-packed. Loads more actions or progress per min.

    How is he exactly stronger?

Look at the statistics not only at Player Feelings.

You are really suggesting stats balancing… Lol

  • Shape nerfed, so he is weaker than before while Krasue being buffed to S trier…

Bam has been a staple in general for most killers for a long time, dont think it or Dissolution should get nerfed (If they do nerf Bam… that backlash is gonna be worse than the OTR backlash they are getting)

same applies to Dissolution, which i do think is an underrated perk.

Krasue literally just takes away two of her "Biggest" weaknesses in chase with these two perks, because everything else is disgusting on her rn (Apparently the blood from her spit attack is a homing attack????)

She just needs nerfs rn, and i wouldnt be surprised if they push out a quick nerf or two for the first bugfix patch, with the follow up being where she gets the most changes.

(If they do nerf Bam… that backlash is gonna be worse than the OTR backlash they are getting)

If Bamboozle gets nerfed, because of Ghoul and Krause, then I will get very annoyed…

  • Sounds reasonable to me…
I have no idea how can anyone defend her.

  • She does not really struggle that much from bodyblocks imo. I wouldn't say more than M1 killers.

Look at Legion if you want to see how strong bodyblock counterplay looks like.

It would be worse if mushrooms instantly cleansed, but they don't, so it's not like survivors can keep doing it.
