Because killers don't use items.
I already told you, it could be an addon or offering. Stop pretending to be dumb.
-
Doesn't work, it can still blind you even if you're facing the other direction.

The instablind is easy to avoid due the sound of the firecracker when being dropped. I avoid the 95% of the firecrackers, also they can be used only once per trial.
So why doesn't killer get anything like this?
-
They could have done an addon or offering. And yes, insta-blind that can be popped mid-chase is very powerful.

Nurse and Spirit say hi
OoO ######### over Spirit especially because she can't see the survivor's aura while phasing.

Survivors have too many brokenly OP perks, DS is definitely one of them.

For intentional DCs, we've gone over it a couple times in the developer updates. We're working on a new system and expect to have it out at the same time as dedicated servers. Until then, we'll keep handing out bans to people who do it excessively with our current system.
For unintentional disconnects, we are currently looking into it. Unfortunately that's all I can tell you right now, it's impossible to say how close a bug is to being fixed, but it is a high priority.
That's months away though, you guys need to at least do something about killers losing BPs and wasting addons and offerings.
-
Every killer gets a lot of DC's.

The average DC rate vs Legion went down 40% after the gameplay update.
Oh cool so now it's only 60%!

I said this would happen and I got downvoted for it. Of course safe unhooks was going to make it too easy to gain stacks.

One problem with these statistics though is that if only one survivor dc's it pretty much screws over every other survivor in the team as well. Those are two or three survivors who didn't escape because someone dc'd, and that isn't representive of the game's balance.
And as far as I know, dc's seem to be quite common.
This is probably why they refuse to do anything about DC's. They can have it skew the stats and count DC's as "losing" so they can tell us that survivors aren't winning as easily as we think.

Incase you did not know peanuts said there working on it as its there top thing to fix. But all they can do at the moment is do ban waves until dedicated servers come. So again you have to wait until they add dedicated servers. That's all we can do at the moment.
"But all they can do at the moment is do ban waves until dedicated servers come"
That's blatantly untrue, there's nothing stopping them from implementing something now if the dedicated servers are still a few months away. If they actually wanted to, they could do it easily.

I know but you have to wait for dedicated servers.
Not good enough, DS's are absolutely ruining this game and have been for a while. Something needs to be done now. Devs have to stop pretending it isn't a problem.
-
I really wish they would do something about the DC problem, but they won't because it'll upset thier precious Twitch streamers.

@Visionmaker said:
tl;dr
There is a ban wave coming out.
Dedicated servers are coming within two-three months.
That's too long away.

Hello
We are reluctant at the moment at modifying her. First we have other killers who are higher in the list for modification/balance needs. Second thing, our stats shows that she is top killer (4K) at rank one. It seems that once you've mastered her, she can be extremely effective. She definitely has a high skill curve.
But wouldn't this data be skewed by the fact she's the newest killer and thus people wouldn't know how to deal with her for a period of time post-release?

I don’t see any blood on ghostface.
id at least think it would look like Myers cause you can actually see the blood
He does but like I said, only a tiny bit. It's like that for balance reasons.
-
It has has a small spot of blood on it for the same reason Michael Myers' does too, for balanced. The white mask prevents him from being too concealed with stealth.

Except the devs aren't ignoring it. Peanits already said it's their top priority and they've been working on it. We just need to be patient a little while longer till dedicated. We don't need threads like these
Sorry but three years of "We'll probs get around to it soon maybe lol" isn't good enough. Until I see proof that they're going to do something about it, their words are meaningless.
-
@snowflake102 said:
Just a side note this fourm is now closed and do not reply to this fourm thx:)
Well I think you're right to make this thread, DCing is an enormous issue with this game that continues to go ignored. For as long as the devs keep their ears blocked and eyes closed to it, people should be making threads in an attempt to get through to them.

@Mister_xD said:
first of all: nameshaming is forbidden on this forum, sorry.
now that we got this out of the way, this is not how you report players. you can eigther get a support ticket, send them evidence of misbehaviour and have them banned like that or use the ingame report function. using said ingame function will provide them with all the necessary chatlogs and endgame stats, however things like sandbagging will not be banned without video evidence.
for DCs, which i assume is your main problem here, there are no reports needed. reports for DCs will be discarded immediately, as they get automatically punished by an algorythm that auto bans you for Dcing too often.
lol no you don't, there is absolutely no punishment for DCing. That's why everyone does it and why it's such a huge problem.
-
Devs wont do #########, they're fine with the sort of behavior. Hell they practically glorify it by featuring DC'ing in their spotlight videos for a laugh.
-
It wouldn't be the same without Cote.
-
But if I do that they can just crawl out.
-
Problem with going for the unhooker is it's just as useless when they use Dead Hard and MoM, you can't down them anyway.

We brushed upon this in the recent May developer update. Right now our system for punishing disconnects is not ideal, but we are already in the planning phase for a new system that is expected to launch at the same time as dedicated servers this summer. Unfortunately this system will depend on dedicated servers to work, so until then, we are stuck with the current system. There is some good news on that front, though, another wave of DC bans has just started going out.
We know it's frustrating and all I can say is that we are working on it. It is our top priority at the moment.
All talk and no action as usual. You guys have no intention on ever fixing this.

Pallet spawns have not been changed recently. Each map has a minimum and maximum pallet count. It will try to space those pallets out as best it can by not spawning pallets within a certain radius of other pallets. If the minimum number of pallets has not been reached and there are no valid spaces left, it'll break the rules and spawn them wherever it can. This is why you'll sometimes end up with double pallets.
The silver lining is that if that does happen, you have the lowest number of pallets possible.
Why do you never respond to my threads about stuff like this? You keeps ignoring the issue of pallet hitboxes being too large for killers causing them to get stunned from far away and even around corners.
-
Survivors DC no matter what killer I play. It's like this for everyone, survivors just DC the very moment they get downed. Sometimes even immediately upon finding out who the killer is. Regardless there's no excuse.

Never heard of people only losing one side progress myself, so I honestly figured you only played Killer to only bring up that progression being loss. With such a grindy game, it's truly something to fear.
The grind is exactly why I'm annoyed. It wouldn't bother me so much if they allowed me to revert to how I was before, but support are super stingy with bloodpoints for some reason and they gave me far less than I had earned. They refuse to give any more.
-
@VexTheHex said:
Well if you weren't a one sided main, you'd lose your progress on Survivors as well. Your point really doesn't make sense here as the progress loss wouldn't care which side you played. It's easy to get paranoid when you main one side, it's showing here.
I've actually been playing more survivor recently than killer. I'm higher rank as survivor too.
-
Only killers have been targeted for me so far.
-
It's weird because the issue is that generators don't use texture filtering like everything else does. However on very specific maps, they do. It's been like this since beta and I have no idea why since giving them texture filtering wouldn't really impact performance.

@FireHazard said:
I feel like its getting worse as every day passes.
I don't remember it being this bad 3 months ago, not sure why its getting worse by the day.
People started DC'ing in direct response to Legion. Due to BHVR's survivor bias, their response was to nerf Legion instead of punishing DC's. Now that survivors know they can get killers nerfed by rage-quitting, they've begun to do this a lot more.
-
@KaoMinerva said:
Bro, they won't buff legion or make him a threat. They've stated this several times. I liked legion, but he's dead now. Let's PRAY Freddy
They'll lower his movement after casting his ability, increase the time it takes for survivors to fall asleep, lower his aura reading, but give him 1% increase to move speed so it's totally not a nerf.
-
The devs DON'T punish DC'ing though, that's the problem. They just completely refuse to touch it.
-
@Peanits said:
Once you factor in the increased movement speed, you're actually catching up faster.
OLD: 3 * (4 - 2.7) = 3.9m gained during fatigue, 3.9 / 0.4 = 9.75 seconds
NEW: 4 * (4 - 2.7) = 5.2m gained during fatigue, 5.2 / 0.6 = 8.66 seconds
With the new base movement speed, you'll actually catch up faster than you would have before. The amount of time you save also increases the further away you are when Frenzy ends.
Man you guys really hate the idea of killers being fun don't you.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
If Nurse would have been released today, she would not see any Scratchmarks. She would have some form of Downside to her ability.
But well, you cannot ask for Killer Nerfs in this Forum.
Besides that, the Add-Ons need some Insight. Nurse does not need more than 2 Blinks and she does not need Omegablink. She is the best Killer without Add-Ons, even if others are using Add-Ons.
Fatigue is the downside to her ability. That and her low move speed, she's even slower than survivors.
-
I'm not calling him OP, I'm just saying it's particularly unfun to play against. I think Legion is simply a poorly designed killer who isn't fun to play as OR against.
-
He's just incredibly unfun to play against because his built-in wallhack has no real counterplay.
-

A lot of the things I'd really like to see are already happening, so I'll pick a simple one: Remove the cooldown on Windows of Opportunity.
A member of the DbD dev team wants more survivor buffs? I'm, shocked!
-
Survivor mains always try to convince me Dead Hard isn't good, and yet it's one of their most commonly used perks at every rank.
Really makes u think :O
-
Still has built-in wall hacks, so not much.
-
Too bad the devs hate killer and hate anyone who plays killer, so don't count on it.
-
Yeah I made a thread about this recently, I literally get hit from around corners.
-
How do you think killers have felt the past three years? Every match had survivors tbagging the exit gates or crouching around the map for as long as they please, with the killer having no means to do anything until the survivors decided it was enough.
At least for you, you only have to wait 3 minutes. Try being stuffed around for half an hour..
-
Well this system clearly doesn't work because it's not deterring people from Ding every match. They need to be more strict about it.
-
@tgrab said:
Works both ways, often as survivor you'll be across the pallet and you still get hit. :/
Yeah because you'll get hit, THEN drop the pallet a second after being downed. Poor you..
