I would say no. Right now, if a Meghead goes down by the basement, I can look at her and say, "That's your fault. You shouldn't have gone down near the basement. You could have gone anywhere in the map, but you went near the basement."
By comparison, if there's two basements, you're sorta' boned no matter what on some maps- especially if the killer has agitation or something. Then it's less because you messed up and more because you're always within reach of a basement.

Then why not buff it?
Because not everything can be the best, and I'd also hazard to say that not everything should be the best. Even if Head On was really powerful, you'd still be bound to the placement of lockers. Some maps (like Shelter Woods) do not have many opportunities to use Head On in the first place. But in the end, is it better to make it really good and annoying, or leave it where it is, where nobody can get upset by it?
For what it's worth, I don't really think it's weak. It's a decent perk, but if you're just trying as hard as possible to win, there are more practical options.

The gods have spoken head on is not a good perk.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I mean, I use it every single game. It's probably the most fun perk in the game, but I feel safe saying that it's not the best choice. If you just want to win, it's probably not for you.
But I also wouldn't have it any other way. I can Head On a killer and run away laughing like an idiot without getting facecamped for it. And when I get Head On'd as a killer, I just have to sit there thinking "You rascal" since it's only a slight inconvenience and they're opting to use that over a more powerful perk.
It's rather have it be a little weak and really fun than powerful and annoying.
-
Post-game bloodpoint bonuses are added together before multiplying, they are not multiplied sequentially. So if you were to have four stacks of BBQ and a Gateau, you would have a total of 203% extra bloodpoints (for a total of 303% BP).
This is also why running a BPS during a bloodhunt gives you three times the points, not four times.
-
Strictly speaking, no. It's an exhaustion perk, so you always need to consider how much you could be doing with another exhaustion perk. You could probably do more with a well timed Dead Hard.
But that aside, it's fun, and it's a good way to extend on tiles like jungle gyms. The scratch marks will cause enough confusion for it to activate, and then you can get your distance back once you stun the killer. I wouldn't say it's terrible, but it's also not your best option for an exhaustion perk by any means.

So, @Peanits said in another thread that its currently not a thing.
Is this in the works? Any update on LF and Freddy? Why haven't I seen a single update on where these two killers are for Switch version?
Cross-progression is not in the works at the moment.
We would like to have Leatherface and Freddy in the Switch version. When we negotiated for the rights to use them in 2017, the Switch version did not exist (nor was it planned). Since they're not our characters, we would need to get permission to use them on the Switch first. We can't give an ETA here, there's no telling how long this can take (or how fast it can be), but we would like to bring them back.

I thought undetectable would be a buff to stealth killer, to counter OoO. Tho, as it seems, it won't change anything.
I believe you're confusing undetectable and oblivious. Undetectable prevents aura reading.
-
Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. The Legion's ability basically revolves around vaulting pallets. While you're in frenzy, it's almost as if the pallet isn't there. If the pallet breaks, you more or less lose a big part of what makes them special and instead have a flashy pallet breaking animation.
The Demogorgon, on the other hand, can't vault a pallet. They still need to break it. Shred still has a pretty lengthy cooldown when breaking a pallet, so having it break pallets by default is a pretty small change.

Is it intended on Ghostface? It makes the trial mostly pointless from a killer perspective. It's solidly anti-fun.
Technically speaking, it's working as intended. Though Ghost Face will be receiving Undetectable later on which will prevent that.
-
Sorta', not really.
Yes, you can avoid losing stacks like the Demogorgon.
But no, it's not as easy to get a follow up hit like it is on the Demogorgon.
With the Demogorgon, you can often hit them with STBFL and then go for a shred a few seconds later to get a fast down. You can't do that with an ambush. Huntress, on the other hand, gets a faster cooldown with hatchets anyway, and moving at 4.4m/s means that you ideally don't want to chase without hatchets.
-
This is intended. Object of Obsession stops showing the aura while you are within the killer's terror radius. Since they are oblivious, they are not in the terror radius, so OoO is meant to activate. Likewise, Borrowed Time also won't activate since you are not inside the terror radius as long as you're asleep.
Using the Sheep Block or Unicorn Block will hard counter this, if you want. Any time they trigger a snare or a dream pallet, they get Blindness and can't read your aura anymore. You could even run Third Seal if you really want.

If you reply to the ticket saying that your issue is resolved, the next time an agent sees it, they'll know your issue is resolved and close the ticket for you.

Someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Your ticket goes into a queue, and once your ticket gets to the front of the line, you should receive a response.

What rank are you peanits and what killer do you like playing the most sorry if this is off topic
Haven't played killer since the last reset, but I usually hovering around in red ranks. I play a variety of killers, lately a lot of Huntress.
-
I have ages ago. The good teams never really care about it anyway, and the not so good teams usually aren't a problem. You get used to not having it after a while.
-
It would make me a big sad on some maps like the Hawkins lab. Get caught up top and you're guaranteed to take damage. The only way out of that would be to get to the bottom of the stairs before the killer shows up, and that's just not an option. You'd have to be 200% immersed to survive that.
But more importantly, it would probably just feel stale. Going upstairs is basically out of the question, you would only ever run the ground floor loops.

I really like the bloody splashes on prestiging, but I feel it's a bummer you can only wear blood on default outfits. Is it possible to add blood as a texture effect instead of actual outfits?
I mean if it's possible to apply these bloody splashes on all outfits like a switch: Blood Splashes [ON] [OFF]
?
It wouldn't be, no. The blood isn't just an overlay, it needs to be applied manually to each outfit. It would take far too much time to add it to every cosmetic.
-
We would like to avoid adding bonuses to prestige. Prestige is meant to be an optional extra for people with a lot of time on their hands, not something you need to do if you want to stay competitive. If you have loads of time and want something else to do, prestige is there for you. If you don't have a much time to play but just want to get the perks, you can completely ignore it without falling behind.

That's okay- we know what it's like to be sitting there waiting for a response. People typically don't contact support just to have a conversation, it's because something's not working and you need us to fix it. I totally get why it can be frustrating.

It's okay, you don't have to lie to me.
-
It varies depending on what type of ticket you submit and how many other tickets are in the queue at the time. A report would go to the ACMs, for example, while most other tickets will go to the actual support staff.
It isn't quite 24/7; we have people answering tickets around the world at different times, but it's not live support. Your ticket goes into a queue and get answered once any older tickets have been dealt with.

This, I cannot answer just yet. We'll spill the beans when the beans are ready. Nobody wants cold beans.

The Spirit's hitbox is the exact same as other killers. As with any lunge, if you Dead Hard before they start attacking, you're probably going to get hit anyway. If you're using Dead Hard to dodge a hit, you need to time it carefully.
-
It's a part of the archives, which is currently planned to release with the next mid-chapter update. They're still on the way.

I would strongly recommend joining the official Dead by Daylight Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/deadbydaylight
There's looking for group channels there where you can find some people to play with. You should be able to find some people who would love to show you around.

I would be fine if that was the answer...to much work to do RIGHT NOW but instead of that we get...no comment at all. I still dont see how providing blacks bars on the side would give me or anyone a unfair advantage.
It's not that we aren't looking, it's just that we cannot possibly respond to every post. There's far too much going on for that.
Ultrawide support is on the to-do list, but we don't have any ETA. It would likely have to be pillarboxed since extending the FOV to cover the entire screen would give you a clear advantage over a typical 16:9 screen. Other changes will take priority over this, however, since only a small number of people are using ultrawide monitors. When we have to decide between a feature that would benefit everybody and a feature that would benefit a few people, we would rather focus on the thing that improves the game for everyone.
That's not to say it won't ever happen, but there's things we'd rather focus on for the time being.

It's partially because Pig has reached meme level. Trapper's power gets messed up (more than once in almost nauseating ways) with practically every other update and nearly nobody brings it up.
That said there must be something different; Trapper's problems are usually the result of bugs and they get fixed. AFAIK most of the Pig changes have been intentional and/or haven't been reverted.
This latest one is a bug. Her carry speed was faster than it was supposed to be, and the camera shake is a bug that popped up with the hotfix today.

Not possible because the outfit isn't on the other platforms and because there's no way to transfer progress/outfits to other platforms.

Hey Peanits, can you confirm something for us please? I can't get the Ornate Trapper mask on the PC, was that a timed exclusive or is it a bug? I bought the game almost a year before that mask came out but didn't unlock it on the PC as I did it on the PS4 but now I can't claim it on the PC as there is no button.
I put it in Bug Reports but no one has seen it yet according to my ''BHVR read'' counter.
It should still be available in the store (for free). If you aren't able to get it, you should contact support.

I love how no one thought about a killer that throws a hook to reel in survivors for a hit.
Like Jacob Goodnight? I thought about that way back in 2016. Not sure how it could work in-game.
I've watched a lot of horror movies. See No Evil is pretty decent, even if it is a little cheesy and predictable.

@Snapshot said:
But the thing is you want to catch the survivor and not just get the pallet dropped to start the chase over again :(
This is true, that would be the ideal scenario. But fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), hitting the survivor every time is not a guaranteed thing. You gotta' work for it.

And what about the matchmaking? Do you think lvl 5 survivor with a rank 15 friend could do anything against a rank 5 killer? do you think that a solo survivor that see this in the lobby will play the game knowing this or will lobby dodge? Because I think this 2 people won't find a lobby to play
While I do understand how that would be frustrating for a new player, this is something that is consistent with others games. If I were to play Overwatch with my friends who play it all the time, the game is going to pair me with players of their skill level, not mine.
Unfortunately the way it previously worked could be (and was, frequently) abused to pick on new killers. The lowest ranked survivor would host the group to intentionally get paired against an new killer so they could bully them. Both situations are pretty much the same; they both end in a new player having a bad time. The difference is that you have the choice to play with your new friend while you're rank 1, and you also have the ability to protect them. You can help them survive and teach them things as they play. A new killer is alone- they don't have anyone to help them out when they mess up or tell them what they should be doing.
-
It should be possible, much like the Hillbilly. Granted, the window to actually pull off the stun is fairly small. Odds are you'll either get hit or they'll break the pallet before it stuns them.
-
I, for one, would love to have a rad skateboarding killer.
Or I guess one that uses fire. Maybe pours out gas wherever they want, then lights it to block certain areas. Running through gas would burn you and eventually down you if you don't stay out of it for a while. Could maybe have the gas be limited and have an ability to siphon more from generators, regressing them in the process.
Just something I think would be neat. Totally not a real thing.

But they see you when you go around the corner? And you can still fast vault it when you just walk at a certain distance waiting for the killer's action...
If they wait until they can see you, vault after then and then vault back. This will put you inside the shack with them by the door. They'll turn around and run back the other way, but you'll be close enough at this point to make vaulting the window into the shack a medium vault (easy hit for you). Their only option will be to use the shack pallet.

So breaking pallets with Shred is slower than normally. I can't believe that this was an ultra rare add-on first. And now some people call it "OP" because it's in his base kit.
There's more to it that just time taken to break a pallet. Before, lunging towards a survivor that's running through a pallet meant that you would be stunned (either by the pallet or by bumping into it with shred). You would need to recover from that before you can kick it.
With this, you can be more aggressive with shred. If they do toss down a pallet, you'll break it (you won't have to deal with the cooldown and then break it.
Basically it's not meant to be a faster pallet break, but you can end a loop quicker and force them to drop a pallet quicker.
-
We'll have to check it out and see what's going on. Which platform are you guys playing on?

I don't know why the thumbnail doesn't work... So its just a grey screen before you click on it.
If you originally linked to the video when it was private, it'll just appear as a blank grey since it couldn't get the video at the time. Once you made it public, everyone is able to click on it and watch the video, it's only the thumbnail that's missing.

The day one patch should be available now. If you're still not able to play, please let us know.
-
-
Line of sight. Basically if they can't see you, they don't know where you are, so you can change direction to make them mess up.
-
I don't have data at hand to back this up just yet, but it's likely because of this change:
Adjusted the matchmaking logic so that Survive With Friends groups are matched using the highest rank of all players in the group (instead of the average). The 3.2.0 patch introduced an issue that caused Survive With Friends group matchmaking to be skewed towards Rank 20, which is also fixed with this change. With that in mind, people who are playing with friends of mix ranks will be matched with the highest ranked player in the lobby, increasing the pool of players the higher you go in rank.

@Peanits If you could bring this issue up at the next meeting it would be greatly appreciated.
I wouldn't call this a serious issue. People losing all of their progress or an exploit that's being abused to ruin loads of games is a serious issue. This would fall under minor quality of life changes more than anything.

This is the kind of tech support we need in these trying times.
Also, no PC, just Xbox And switch.
I'm confused as to how you're playing your XBOX at McDonald's, but I won't judge your creativity. You should be able to substitute the laptop with your XBOX. Just keep in mind you'll need some way to power it- maybe a UPS or something along those lines. Odds are there's not going to be electrical sockets in the stalls (it'd be against the safety code), and having a cord coming out of the stall would definitely tip somebody off. Gas generators are out of the question too. They're too noisy and produce fumes (not the kind you would normally expect in a McDonald's bathroom).

Releasing the hotfix AND the switch version tomorrow? My McDonald's WiFi is already sweating...
Hide your laptop in a bathroom stall at one of the McDonald's so it can update, then take your Switch to another McDonald's so you can play. Nobody's going to check the stall, they'll just assume it's occupied. You just need to find one that has proper stalls rather than a single room.
