If anyone did, they probably had to sign an NDA. If they leaked anything, they'd be sued to death.

The Cannibal excels at putting multiple survivors in the dying state at the same time, but only if they're clustered together. Survivors are only clustered together in one of three situations: while working on generators, while sandbagging each other, and while going for an unhook.
If survivors are on a generator when the killer approaches, they disperse, each going in their own direction. No multiple chainsaw hits are possible.
If survivors are sandbagging each other, you don't need the chainsaw to put them in the dying state. The chainsaw is irrelevant.
Survivors going for an unhook is the only situation that a killer can actually force out of these three, and thus the one you're most likely to encounter. It's no different from the Trapper herding survivors into proverbial mine fields or the Clown forcing them away from strong loops. If there's a problem, it's a design problem, not a player problem.

Survivors: Do you always camp?
Tell me about it. Long before the EGC, I had a survivor attempt a basement rescue after the gates were open (not just powered). I managed to catch the unhooked, but the unhooker got away. The unhooked accused me of "camping".

I personally wouldn't have camped, I would have kept patrolling the gens and go for that bbq survivor. But it's situational tho, if I noticed they are really good loopers, probably have insta heals and MoM maybe I would proximity camp. Tbf, I don't play much Bubba and never use NOED. I'm using Nurse and Billy all time, so it's "easier" to leave the basement and go for someone else and still 3k or 4k that match
Except I wasn't "camping" on purpose. I was searching the area around the basement for the Claudette with No Mither I'd seen trying to heal one of the survivors I put down and knew was still around.

Playing as killer I play the same way as you. Well, I can't kill anyone (although I had a mori and it's my daily ritual). More than 20.000BP for all, everyone have fun, they said sometimes to me that was the best game they played in years. Sure I depip more than pip, but I play to enjoy, not to make some survivors have a bad day.
I play to kill and usually get 20k+ as well, unless the survivors don't play well (as was the case in my OP).
-
My current SWF mate and I noticeably break the game's balance, and there's just two of us. When one of us dies, we can inform the other one about everything the other survivors are doing (assuming any remain, obviously). It's almost like stream sniping, except you do it to every single survivor.

It's only 3 sec lesser with wake up. Nobody uses this perk. And I agree, End Game is fine now ... for killers
4 seconds is enough to make survivors question just how useful healing is, so surely 3 seconds must make a big difference.

if it happened to me. i always make sure that my teammates are repairing generators.
but anyway. it looks like we have a facecamping expert over here
Indeed. Since you're not, however, let me enlighten you.
Face camping was an exploit wherein a killer could stand in the area that allowed survivors to unhook, thereby making it mechanically impossible to unhook. This was removed with the introduction of "swivel hooks", which make it possible to unhook from all sides.
It came back a few months ago in the form of a hitbox issue that allowed killers to physically enter the hooked survivor's hitbox, which blocked the "unhook" prompt, but that was eventually fixed as well. It would've been fixed sooner, however, if not for people misusing the term "face camping", which made the issue fly under the radar.
Now hard camping, which is what we currently have, can be the right tactical decision in a variety of situations, like the one in your first screenshot. It keeps multiple survivors off generators while one or more slowly die.

Don't know to answer you if you don't understand what I said previously (bad english, I know).
" What's unfair about a 1v1 in an asymmetrical game being in the power role's favor?"
Well, do you think if killer make 4k every game is fair? Yes, I know you want to make 4k and if you can you want our houses and possessions, but this is a game and all of us want to have fun.
Not going to answer you more in this post, it's impossible we agree
We're talking about a 1v1 situation in a game that's supposedly balanced around a 4v1. Your bad attempts at dodging the issue only make your argument weaker.

i just wanna know what's " fun " in this play style?
Personally, I enjoy seeing survivors running or crouching around the hook, then blaming me for taking advantage of their bad plays.

Well, they can change the game so if you hook 1 survivor, all of them became hooked. Is an asymmetrical game so is fair too
Why aren't you answering the question?

@prayer_survivor said:

Yes, it's an asymmetrical game, but in this game you have to kill 4 survivors, not 3 survivors and have 99% chance of killing the 4th in 1v1 EGC.
Please answer the question. What's unfair about a 1v1 in an asymmetrical game being in the power role's favor?

You shouldn't be saying that because "Toxicity" is subjective.
Toxicity that breaks the rules.

I'd say you can't know they are still in the area. They could have ducked into a locker. That said I don't think you can be blamed really. When killers camp half the time it's because of a survivor. Not to say there aren't times those they camp just because. But I've noticed as a survivor I recognize more when a killer is just a camper and when they know someone is nearby.
There were no lockers within walking distance (no scratch marks, therefore the Claudette couldn't have gotten far) except in the basement itself and directly above it. If she'd gone into a locker, I would've either heard it or seen scratch marks.

You're going to get salt as a killer from time to time no matter what you do. I think the question that you are actually trying to ask here is "do I deserve the salt?". In this case the answer is no. But if salty survivors bother you then the best option is to skip the end game chat.
No, the question I'm trying to ask is the one I asked. I already know I don't deserve the salt and I already know I'm going to get salt as a killer no matter what I do.

I honestly already do that. But I'm used to reporting systems to never achieve to anything so I'm kinda being aloof about it knowing that it will probably not change anything.
Well, we know for a fact that this reporting system accomplishes something. Maybe if some people didn't have that attitude, people like the ones I describe in my OP would be banned much more quickly.
A report system can only ever be as good as the number of (real) reports its users make. If you don't report, that's a guarantee that nothing will be done.

Oof, comparing some political psychos to some degenerates in a game? Get your fact straight: They're wrong but no need to start a witch-hunt because some people cannot accept the fact they will lose time to time.
No comparison, and no witch hunt. I'm giving you an example of how ignoring an issue won't make it go away. I'm also not naming names, just advising you to report people who break the rules and spread toxicity so the game can be better for everyone.
-
@NurseMainBTW said:

Boy no need to tell me that. You know it's coming where there's 3+ SWF, you just get used to it after a while :(
Which doesn't mean you shouldn't report them. Report toxicity everywhere you can. It will make the game better for the rest of us.

You did the right thing, I also ask the survivors behaving like this in the post-game chat the very same questions, the results is as predictable as ever.
However, I ask a favor of you: Don't open threads like this, they fuel hate which is a thing we should all try to not to encourage.
Ignoring the issue isn't going to make it go away, just look at the Nazis in the USA. The existence of people like this needs to be pointed out, so more people report them, so they get banned, so we can have a better game for everyone who isn't like this.
-
@CallMeSpidey said:
Having the confidence of killing them all, you could have left.
More points for you as well, more hooks, more points. It's what I do as Nurse.
But that's just me.
It's not about confidence, it's about the correct tactical decision. In that instance, I was keeping not one, not two, but three survivors occupied, while two of them were dying.

Well I would say you are most definitely not in the wrong here.
If you know 100% there's a survivor around and you're searching for them it's not considered camping but if you haven't found that survivor in that amount of time you probably should have walked off a little further but not too far just incase that random survivor does save them, you could get back in time to cut them off a still down atleast two of them.
Some people are always going to be salty even though they played terrible and won't admit their mistakes.
That's what I started doing when I couldn't find her. Then I found her.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
Strategically speaking, making sure the 2 survivors in the basement die is the smart thing to do. That is assuming that killing all the survivors is your goal. If you want to earn maximum bloodpoints then letting them get off the hook is the smart thing to do. Realistically, you should easily get one of them right back on the hook anyway. Let the survivors play musical hooks until one or more of them die. You'll still win, but you'll get more bloodpoints this way. Either way, you aren't doing anything wrong. You can straight up face camp if you want. It's not against the rules.
Face camping is an exploit that was removed. Pretty sure exploiting is against the rules.
Putting that aside, I'm not asking what the alternatives are, I'm asking what survivors expect a killer to do in that situation.
-
The animation is ######### awesome and you should learn to enjoy it, even if you lost. Survivors had no problem crawling away from a killer who didn't have Deerstalker and dying without the cool animation for years, so why is it a problem now, all of a sudden?

Some people are under the delusion that playing violent video games makes one violent. Sometimes, those people who are objectively wrong about the things they believe get involved in politics, which is always bad for the sane people.
I'd like to hear their explanation for why now is the most peaceful time in human history, despite the advent (and propagation) of supposedly violent video games.

"Whether the devs will openly admit it or not. then game collapse as it is was something created to deal with a few fringe issues of late game Dead by daylight."
Starts off pretending to know why the developers did something, essentially calls them liars for not corroborating his story, and pretends it was "a few fringe issues of late game", as opposed to the reality that those issues happened nearly every single trial.

Fuera rollos --> ME LA PELA
Colorin colorado --> PIN PAN PUN
Estridor --> Aliento
Escalofriante --> Desasosiego
Chungo --> FAJADOR
Luz extinta --> LUZ QUE AGONIZA
Dunno what the first one is.
I assume the second one is Pop Goes The Weasel?
The third is just dumb. Estridor is the correct translation.
I'm not sure how you'd translate Spine Chill, but I guess the second option is acceptable.
Dunno what this one is.
And that's just wrong both ways. Sounds more like a survivor perk to boost flashlights.

No to make one perk work, to kill us. You can only hide behind a gen against these perks
Iron Maiden only works once you come out of the locker, not when you go into one. Thus, you can wait until the killer is chasing someone else before you come out of the locker.
You can also be away when the survivor gets downed and only approach when they're getting hooked.
Keep in mind, however, there is no strategy that works 100% of the time.

Can you post the text here?

The Nightmare is underrated. I've recently had the privilege of seeing what a proper Nightmare can do, and it definitely made me change my mind about him.
-
Too true. That happened to me when I was playing SWF with a few people and I literally screamed. Fortunately, I have extremely sharp reflexes, so I was able to get off the gen as soon as I heard the terror radius, but I still got hit.
-
Dude, if the killer is taking ALL those perks just to make ONE perk work, I'd laugh. That's not so much "meta" as it is a joke build.
-
@Peanits Sorry, unrelated to the thread, but did you check the comment I left on your profile?
-
@Pizzaman said:

@Mochan said:
Too many killers can't deal with "second chance" perks. You guys are hilarious.
It's just a game. Keep playing it and maybe one day you'll get good at it.
I get downed by killers a lot, I don't complain how unfair things are and killers need nerfs blah blah blah.
You want hell? Try being a stealth player in this game. It's so hard every killer is packing tons of detection perks and abilities. It's a nightmare. That's not even counting killers like The Nightmare who you can't even see, so it's almost impossible to stealth them. You don't see me asking for nerfs to BBQ or NC or Doctor or whatever.
I'm a stealth player. When the killer catches someone and is going to hook them, I hop in the nearest locker, wait for the hook, count to 4, then leave the locker. Boom, BBQ countered.
I bring Premonition so I know which direction the killer is coming from, make sure I'm out of their line of sight, then go around them while they're wasting their time looking for me where I'm not and damaging my generator. Or I just jump into a locker out of their line of sight. Premonition works on every single killer except the Shape at Evil Within 1.
For the Shape, I just keep an eye out for the fluorescent white mask. For the Doctor, I get in a locker. Lockers are amazing because nobody searches them.
Does this work all the time? Obviously not, but the same can be said of every single strategy in existence.
