Happened to me again as well. I thought changing graphics to medium fixed it but it happened again. Banned for 24hrs... can't even take part in the bloodhunt.

Absolutely not.
The Entity would have to change him too much to the point where he wouldn't even be John Kramer anymore.
I also think that if they did think John Kramer would fit to be a killer they would have done it in the first chapter.
I think if we did get another Saw killer it would be Mark Hoffman but he would also fit as a legendary outfit for The Pig (Amanda).

I highly doubt it. I think this is just promotion for Saw X.
I also think John Kramer would never be a killer in DBD anyways because his character just doesn't fit.
The only saw content i see coming is a Mark Hoffman legendary outfit for The Pig.

Most likely they are compiling the data and will come to a decision. Similar thing happened with MMR where they removed grades from the end screen (which eventually got replaced with the prestige)
I'd be very surprised if they decide to keep it in... i don't see any way how it positively improves the experiences for anyone.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of your game files? And updating your windows and drivers.
Also support can take a long time. I think one ticket i sent took over 3 weeks for a response before.

I am still receiving DC penalties for this too.
Please don't close this and say it's a technical issue. I've seen dozens of people online talk about this issue. I've been troubleshooting for weeks. I've contacted support and their advice did not work and i am now waiting on a further response.
EDIT : Also i would like to add, three survivors disconnected this match as well. 2 of them at the start, another one mid match and then i got disconnected shortly after. So that just shows even more it's not a user side issue.
PLEASE investigate this issue further. Because of the DC Penalty it can make the game unplayable.

It happened to me today as Singularity right after I switched to a biopod, and suddenly realized I did not have a prompt to exit it. Though this is my first time experiencing this since the update, the same thing has been happening regularly in my matches since around January of 2023 and I have been receiving disconnect penalties for it which force me to stop playing the game. The error usually coincides with a change of health or hook states, using a killer power, performing an interaction, etc. Anything the server has to validate I suppose.
I hope the fact that this new error message specifies it is an issue with the dedicated servers will help BHVR to quickly resolve it. Please acknowledge this report, it's been an endlessly frustrating issue that has repeatedly prevented me from enjoying a game I've purchased content for. Video of one experience below, several other examples in the comments.

I start by loading into DBD without any other games or apps running, I choose to play as either survivor or killer and load into a match without any issues. My latency is usually around 40-50 ms and I never have issues with my internet, I will play the match as I normally do, usually I am kicked while doing actions such as working on gens or attempting to vault in chase, it doesn't matter what point of the match it is or how long the match lasts. Sometimes when I am kicked there is no warning at all, while other times I will see other players running straight into walls or I will be unable to do any actions until I am kicked. I am always kicked to the endgame screen with a disconnected from host pop up, in the endgame screen it tells me that the killer has also disconnected from the match and I am able to see all of their perks, the killer is not disconnected as when I play with friends they are able to finish the match as usual. I click out of the error message and click back to go back to my lobby, I have never been kicked from my own lobby just the match itself. Whenever this happens I can check my latency and it does not change, if I am in an Xbox party with friends I do not get kicked from that party and they can hear me as it is happening, I will often tell them I am being kicked before it happens which I would not be able to do if this was an internet issue.
I have found this happens more often when I sit in my lobby too long without readying up or when I switch to a different character, which makes it really hard if I am waiting for friends to join or I want to upgrade in my blood web. Even knowing this and avoiding doing those actions, I will still get kicked from matches and receive higher and higher penalties. I genuinely believe this is a server issue and not a personal internet issue.
I ask that someone at least tries to look into this, as I would hate to no longer be able to play on my account I have spent money and worked hard on. I am willing to give more information as needed.
Below is a clip of what happens while I am being kicked, as you can see I checked my latency in game and it seems to be fine. After the video ends the loading screen finishes and I am put in the end game screen with a “Disconnected from host” error. I can also see the killers username, prestige, and all of the perks they are running.

Exactly. Every time i have an issue with this game and devs are not responding to people about it i start to regret being so invested in it. It's like i care about this game so much and sometimes it feels like the devs don't at all and that feels really bad.

I think devs already said they tried adding this to the game but they didn't like it for whatever reason.
Personally i am not really bothered by it as long as the killer has the ability to open it themselves.
The door opening animation is also underestimated and it has gotten me kills and gotten me killed before. Although i've noticed on the last two maps the doors open very fast which is strange.

Me too. It feels like they are being so avoidant about the issue. I have tried to get Mandy's attention and she has not responded to me at all but has responded to other posts. It feels really bad especially considering how much time and money i have invested in this game.

Proof? Sorry but this is kind of a big deal if it's true. I feel like it's much more likely that servers are just crashing at the worst times.
I think servers are having a lot of issues right now. Me personally i've getting kicked from matches and getting dc penalties for it as well as bad ping in matches. BHVR seriously needs to sort them out.

Nah making the entity a killer i think would ruin the entity. It is supposed to be an elusive being - fear is in the unknown after all.

I don't think we're collectively having a bad internet day in unison LOL... I was the Killer and had the bad ping icon too.
Yeah i've had moments of bad ping too. I really wish devs would take the servers down for maintenance or something...

I believe that can appear on one of the macmillan maps (during halloween event) but i haven't seen it since they changed that realm. As for what they all mean together i have no clue.

I won't keep reporting each time but it happened again with the "Dedicated Server is not responding" message. 6hr penalty now... the problem has not been resolved at all for me.

Happened to me again, 1hr matchmaking ban :( Different message this time though but it's definitely still not my internet because steam was still online when this happened.

I could always see the prestiges in the lobby, it only applied for some people.
But i do hope in a future they are going to remove it.

Sorry to say but it's not fixed...
Just got out of a match on borgo. 3 people turned into bots at the start of it and i disconnected from dedicated server again towards the end. 30 minute penalty...

Yeah lol... 😬can't be for sure until i play an entire day without getting it i think.
And whilst i am still talking about it i am happy it might have been fixed but i'm still pretty frustrated and the complete lack of communication around it. It got to the point where i feel like BHVR were completely ignoring it. I replied to their tweets i participated in loads of threads here and i tried to get Mandy's attention and i got nothing. It felt bad considering the problem makes the game pretty much unplayable since the DC penalty could get too high.
That's all sorry if i derailed this thread...

I don't agree with removing the matchmaking ban because this game has so many characters, perks and maps that could appear in a match and if there was no DC penalty people would dc very frequently because the match wouldn't be to their liking.
The server not responding error is really bad and it shouldn't give you a DC penalty but i think it's not possible for the game to tell if the disconnected server is at fault, it disconnected from you or it's the player that disconnected from the server.
They just really need to fix the dedicated server not responding problem. It hasn't been acknowledged and it's becoming increasingly concerning.

Survivors : Dwight, Jake, Feng, Yui, James and Maria, Yun-Jin, Haddie, Renato, Nicolas.
Killers : Trapper (honestly, naughty bear got me into him), Wraith, Myers, Cannibal, Legion, Trickster, Dredge, Mastermind, Xenomorph
When it comes to survivors i like their characters and cosmetics and when it comes to renato i like his menu music and i like nicolas cage voicelines.
When it comes to killers i enjoy the more traditional killers. So nurse is kind of the far end of the traditional scale, trapper is probably at the start and i enjoy killers that lean more towards the lower end.

I've tried loads of things on my end including official troubleshooting and nothing is working. I can't keep playing the game at this rate otherwise the matchmaking ban is gonna become too high.

Yes i know BHVR developed it but it was not published by them, it was published by 505 games. DBD used to be not published by BHVR but they bought the publishing rights after some time. So idk if they actually own the publishing rights to it or they had to get permission from someone in which case they'd probably have to make it auric cell exclusive.

Yep i've been having this issue for a week i think. I've been searching on the internet about it and sadly it seems like some people have had this issue since january and they have been unable to fix it. The only fix i heard that worked for people regardless of their platform... was to buy a new router. Not a great solution.
Personally i've tried a few things, i think flushing the DNS Resolver cache (it's doing the ipconfig thing in command prompt, the internat has plenty of easy guides on how to do this) helps and also i updated my graphics drivers (i know it's a network error but it seems to have helped)
By the way it's definitely not a character specific issue because it's happened to me in a variety of situations as both roles. It's seems random.
