Dying Light is practically a survivor perk
-
She needs quality of life improvements to be made more appealing. Maybe traps hinder you or something. Also maybe get rid of the trap range add-ons because they actually make it harder to get hits.
-
Most likely will be fixed in the next update coming in January, unfortunately.
At least small game can help you find totems. Not ideal but better than nothing if it's a perk you struggle with.
For the record i do think it should be kill switched until then personally

Thanks y'all for sharing your thoughts not just on Memento Blade but the other Add-ons - and Trickster in general.
Thank you for being so receptive to feedback! It is very commendable and appreciated.
-
I disagree with all of this to be honest. A lot of this is reverts and those changes happened for good reasons.
To start off with
4.6m/s, 16 terror radius w/ 24 lullaby
This is not a fair change and is out of line with the rest of killers. Only killer in the game that is 4.6m/s and has a 16 meter terror radius is The Shape in Evil Within 2 and he only has a basic attack.
99 blades, 2 second reload speed
Also unfair. Trickster having 44 blades at the moment works because it allows survivor to make him run out of blade forcing him to drop chase. This pretty much just trivialises the reload mechanic and you may as well make it unlimited at that point which would be too much.
- Main Event has a 30 second expiry window when the power gauge is full.
This is how it currently is
(Revert the ramp up of movement speed and throwing rate)
This mechanic got removed because it wasn't healthy for the game when line of sight gets broken frequently. This mechanic was for when you catch a survivor out in the open. But if that doesn't happen then the movement speed decrease was just a disadvantage which it was.
Sorry but i just don't understand or see how any of these changes are good. Lots of is bringing back problems that they already fixed and adding advantages nobody is asking for.
I also do not see how this allows for more skill expression either. A lot of these changes are just restrictions and this does the exact opposite.

Calm Spirit and being in a locker will both prevent the scream. Being in the locker will prevent the obsession from changing altogether. Also, because the perk targets a random survivor, if that random survivor is in a locker, then the perk will not PROC. Please update this thread if it happens again. Thank you!
Oh ok as this is most likely what happened then. It was on the game map so plenty of lockers.

Pyramid Head as he does not have eyes 👍
-
Yeah i agree i've always felt like her model has looked off and i do think the large eyes are a big reason for that.
Maybe they did try smaller eyes at one point but then they became too difficult to see in game. I feel like Nancy's model has this problem.
But yeah i do honestly feel like it could be better.
-
Yeah i'm getting sick of how fast gens are going now.
Using 2-3 gen perks, survivors have 0 gen speed perks but it still feels like generators are going unbelievably fast.
I'm playing trickster and my chase times are pretty short but it's just not enough.
It seems like getting a 4k is not a goal that you achieve frequently anymore but the game is more about how many can you kill in a match.
That's probably how it should be but it's going to be hard to get used to
-
Yes, since MMR change generators feel too fast.
My prediction is that in the next mid chapter they are going to make Grim Embrace meta.
It's the only gen perk getting an update, and it has the popular 4 token first hook system. So it encourages you to not tunnel for a reward. Problem is reward has always been too low. Also obsession aura reveal wouldn't have an effect if the 4th survivor you hook is the obsession.
So i am guessing they will increase the duration to either 80, 90 or 120. Then make it reveal all survivor auras.
-
Hawkins is my favorite too. The atmosphere is great. I like that it's underground because it makes you feel isolated.
-
I think this event is probably the least time consuming event they have released. Personally i just use the snowskulls to hit snowmen to get points and maybe reveal a survivor. You can do it at the same time as doing other stuff.
Since the MMR change i personally do not have any time to waste as killer but i think this is how it should be. If the game is ever too easy for you then it's too hard for the survivors. Ideally both sides should feel challenged.

@Raconteurminator My issue with Trickster, ever since the first tweaks and that carries over into current Trickster's state of play, is that the Devs saw Survivors issue vs him and thought "He needs to have less Blades" the throw speed is the issue imo. It's like I touched on in my rant, it's almost like Survivors have less input in the chases vs Trickster now. If they do manage to avoid his Blades (which good players will learn to do or are already doing) then they get about 5-10 seconds longer in a chase. When imo they should have more stuff available to them in order to hold their own against the onslaught of Blades. Getting the balance between Trickster being able to be a huge threat in chase while Survivors knowing there are things they can do to manipulate a chase on their end too, outside of the simple: wiggle side to side, hesitation at corners and gaps, crouching at small tiles every step or so etc. I'm aware my gripe with Trickster is a heavy bias from my vision of what the killer could be, but I also think that the point that Trickster has been gutted from the standpoint of "they traded his fun uniqueness for a Basic version of 1v1 strength" still holds merit.
@OrangeBear nah I haven't, I played the previous iteration and was actually unaware of Trickster adjustments this patch. I'll play as him and see if that changes anything about what I think about him from the as and vs perspective. Just for my own state of mind in this conversation, what is your build for Trickster, mine centre around detection and minimising time wastes with reloads and rotating pressure (Knock Out, Iron Maiden, Ultimate Weapon and Darkness Revealed atm)
@Vanishlord fair enough lol Trickster was definitely one of those chapters that really kept me drawn to dbd, so seeing all the different things that have happened to him makes it hard for me not to wish for bigger and better things with him lol
I use Corrupt Intervention, Pain res, Agitation, Dead Man's Switch. The add-ons i use most, the ones i think are the best. Memento Blades and Waiting for You Watch. But i use a lot of add-ons. Caged Heart Shoes, Diamond Cufflinks, Bloody Boa, Melodious Murder, Trick Blades. I think the only ones that are not worth using ever are the ones that increase the combo duration. There's no point of Running these over Tequila Moonrock because it effectively does the same thing but better.

Very lucky. I have sworn never to main him until he gets changed as to not to ruin the game for other survivors. I feel bad for his old mains though as they have had their favourite killer ruined.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3611055#Comment_3611055
No problem I enjoy a good rant myself and going on rants.
Most trickster mains are also happy with where he is now. (7.4.2, make sure you are reading feedback after December 12th)
7.4.0 was bad because throw rate was so low to the point survivors were disrespecting your power frequently.
Laceration decay back to 10 was also bad because it meant long ranged hits weren't being rewarded
Main event felt pretty underwhelming.
All of this has been addressed with 7.4.2.
The only two real nerfs trickster received comparing 7.3.2 and 7.4.2 are 2 extra laceration hits and 32 meter terror radius.
There will be people that don't think the trade off was worth but i would be surprised if these people are not the minority.
Recoil was not fun, being 4.4m/s at high walls was not fun. Getting main event 0-2 times a game was not fun.
I personally don't miss old trickster at all.
I also doubt he is that bad to play against anymore. He runs out ammo faster than ever. 32 meter terror radius and still with a 40 meter lullaby. Plenty of survivors are still escaping me too. His power is only a chase tool. No mobility, no map pressure etc. There's plenty of worse killers. I actually think huntress is worse just because they can injure you from extremely far away and the hitbox regularly feels unfair.
I don't think he should or will get changed anytime soon.

You know you can improve the game and introduce new DLCs as well right?!
This is not the concept of DBD 2.
if DBD were to copy overwatch it would mean the game would stop getting content for years whilst they rebuild the game from the ground up. Overwatch 2 didn't get re-made but the engine was different so they couldn't add overwatch 2 content to overwatch 1 so it meant overwatch 1 was "frozen" for years.
Dead By Daylight already does improve the game and introduce DLCs and im saying they should keep doing that and not do anything like what overwatch did because it wasn't a good thing
-
It allows you to track a survivor in a chase when they are constantly breaking line of sight. I think Mirror Shard is good.
Glass fragment is bad though because it's EW1 only. At absolute maximum you get 5 uses out of it for a 3 second aura reveal. (this is assuming you perfectly stalk a survivor for 1 second, 5 times in evil within 1)
Reflective fragment is only worse than mirror shard and they don't stack.
-
I agree.
Personally i would just change the cooldown from 60 to 44. Because the cooldown is effectively 76 seconds because of the 16 duration, the cooldown only starts afterwards. Or they could just make the cooldown start immediately, either way same effect.
I think your design idea is interesting but i feel like it could be abusable with mad grit and i think you could spam the 10 second linger in some rare scenarios. I just feel like it could get out of control.

DBD’s simplicity is inherently why it has been so successful.
Conceptually, it is very easy to grasp. Mechanically, it has a low barrier for entry.
In that respect, there is absolutely nothing wrong with DBD’s simplicity.
I think I’ve seen you mention chess on here once before. It is curious to note chess’ popularity, given it’s age, it’s simplicity, and it’s “lack of innovation.”
It seems there is something to be said about games as a service, and the expectations that follow.
“Innovation” and “Simplicity” don’t need to be mutually exclusive. A good design can be both.
….and now I’ve lost my train of thought. Sorry, lol, I don’t know what happened but my mind has gone completely blank while writing this. I’m certain I was building towards a coherent thought, so I’ll send this through.
I do apologize if this reply turns out to be nonsensical jargon. 😅😭
I agree you with you simplicity is important when it comes to an asymmetrical game especially.
DBD formula is the only one that has worked to the point where Identity V asked for permission to copy mechanics.
Asymmetrical design is fragile so i can understand why the devs want to be careful about making changes to the gameplay. If they change up the forumla too much it could become like the other asymmetrical games... dead.
@ Topic
I do think the video is reasonable though.
But i just can't blame the devs so much for their responses. The responses are disappointing but that's how it has to be sometimes with developer to player communication. They can't lie and silence is even more frustrating.
Unfortunately though it seems like this video has sent a lot of players into a rage with the game. People declaring that they quit, that otzdarva quits and that the devs don't care about anything and only what makes them money.
Otzdarva never communicated these things this is just how some people seem to have interpreted the video. I think people are getting too irrational about it.
He just said he is going to stop making the videos where he complains about particular issues and the suggestion videos because they don't lead to anything. Also winstreaks because of MMR and cheaters (and honestly i don't think winstreaks should be possible anyways)
I do admit it is disappointing that devs don't seem to directly implement suggestions that everyone likes. But i have to understand that the devs have a different picture and understanding of the game and they probably know best.
So my overall thoughts are that i think otzdarva's video is reasonable but i think the interpretation that the game needs some sort of revolution is irrational and i don't agree with it.

I am guessing whenever Stranger Things chapter 2 happens. They will probably update the first one at the same time just like what they did with Project W. I bet this chapter is going to happen some point next year.

Also i forgot to mention. I haven't played against this new trickster because i am not getting matched against him.

I was always one of those Trickster players that loved the way he was in initial release. The recoil was awful and Main Event was borderline useless, but I loved the amount of Blades he had and the fact Survivors needed to loop every tile slightly differently in order to withstand the barrage he rained upon them.
Then they changed him to reduce his amount of Blades but increased number values for Main Event and damage output.
Now they have made his Main Event very spam-able, but all of the thrill of seeing Survivors duck and weave is gone because the recoil is gone too, so Survivors now drop very quickly in loops that they could have used for at least 5 or so seconds longer if they didn't dodge and weave enough. On top of that, it almost feels like you aren't encouraged to actually use his power much either. The low amount of Blades and the slow throw rate almost make it seem like the Devs want Survivors to be able to drag you to strong(ish) tiles and eat a Basic before the blades come out, which is contrary to what all Trickster players have ingrained into their muscle memory. Before we would always "spam" until the first hit and then try to close the distance with a Basic or keep spamming if need be.
Ultimately it feels like they removed all style and flexing with Trickster. It isn't worth trying to hit sly shots through gaps because you run out of Blades a lot by doing so, and the Laceration timer goes away so quickly that the only add-ons worth using are Laceration time extension. Which, surprise surprise, makes it so trying to use ricochet or piercing Blades, the add-ons that drastically alter the Trickster experience, are not gonna be seen or desired anymore.
Very disappointed by the way they have essentially gutted him. The Devs speak like they understand what Trickster players want but then you realise they think we just want quick damage with little effort via throw speed. And then after seeing how god awful of an experience that is as Survivor they change him to make him throw slower but Main Event be slightly more threatening. No, what Trickster players want is to know we can try to throw Blades in multiple different ways in a chase without fear of being crippled by missing one too many due to running out of Blades or Laceration decaying. If Trickster had 99 Blades, Survivors needed 8 Blades to be damaged and Laceration started to decay after 15 seconds of no Blades hitting them at 1 Blade every 2 seconds (so it would take 28 seconds at most of them not being hit by a Blade in order for Laceration expire), Then they could even make it where being healed accelerates Laceration decay too in order to add more depth to chase manipulation on the Survivor side, I would see that and think "yeah, this is a fun Trickster. Maintaining strength but also not feeling like he is gonna get you at every tile and there isn't a damn thing you can do aside from maybe avoid a couple of the Blades by crouching and hesitating your rotation.
This is a very long rant lol and I apologise for that @Vanishlord
I might make a post detailing my dream Trickster, but we'll see if I get around to it, since the Devs probably are done touching Trickster for a good few years now. This is most likely how our K-Pop star will remain sadly
Did you play trickster after 7.4.2? They buffed him majorly. Increased throw rate to 3.33 from 3, laceration decay reverted to 15 from 10, main event throw rate doubled and duration increased by 1 second. They also buffed memento blades add-on in 7.4.1. It now increases your throw rate by 10% it's really good.
I did think that 7.4.0 trickster was awful but right now i really like playing as him.
-
After 7.4.2 i am actually very happy with the trickster changes.
He finally feels like a threat and his past frustrations are gone.
I got into the game because of the all-kill chapter but always found trickster to be too weak and frustrating but now he finally feels like a competent killer.
From playing as him i don't think he's too strong. Some survivors are definitely better at playing against him than others.
His add-ons could use some improvements but i think for the most part, at this point in time, he doesn't need any changes.
-
Pretty much the same for me. I am using my best loadouts possible on Trickster, Legion, Xenomorph. I think my average hook count is probably 5 in the couple hours i have been playing today.
I am playing my absolute best it's not enough to stop all the gens from being done.
I'm honestly okay with it though because i think the games should be close. Before this MMR change too many of games were too easy and then i got the rare game that felt impossible.
The problem is though loadout variety has taken a nose dive. There is no wiggle room to use anything but the best things. The game is going to get boring with no variety.
Can the developers really balance this out? I think it will be extremely difficult.
I think they have three options :
- Work on balancing all loadout options. This would take a hell of a lot of time and work.
- Increase the skill range of the matchmaking. This would mean the skill difference between players in the match would be larger which would allow the better players to not have to play as hard. Essentially this would be reverting the MMR change.
- Remove SBMM and go to having no matchmaking at all or go back to ranked based matchamking OR a new type of matchmaking.
I believe they are going to attempt to do the first one.

I strongly disagree. DBD was a surprise hit. The game will not die anytime soon. It needs to be improved in any way possible. The best way to do so is to make a new improved version from the ground up. It would be the same game, just with improved coding, better visuals and so on. You just import your old safe file into the new one.
I still feel the same way i think people will move onto other games if DBD stops getting content to keep it relevant. Chapter DLCs are what most people care about not game stability.
-
I'm guessing people probably want the game to be remade so that it has less bugs performs better and looks better.
Personally i think it wouldn't be worth it because it would take years.
DBD would lose it's relevancy in that time and who knows what licensing issues they would have.
Overwatch 2 was never a remake of overwatch 1. It IS overwatch 1 just updated. Overwatch 2 was a cover up to relaunch their monetization systems. They updated the entire game to support something no player wanted (the new monetization)
Dead By Daylight is better off updating itself slowly as it goes as long. You don't need to relaunch the game to make core updates. Fortnite upgraded to unreal engine 5 at some point they didn't start calling it Fortnite 2.
They should just keep Dead By Daylight going until it dies in my opinion that's what would be best for both BHVR and the players.

It's 2nd best killer perk (corrupt is no.1 imo) right now for sure as long as you pair it up with Agitation and/or maybe monstrous shrine if you plan to use basement regularly
-
Gen perks are never going away sadly. They need to be removed entirely if the meta is to be truly changed and i think it's far too late for this. It'd be too much work and to make it even exhaustion perks and gen speed perks would have to be removed to, even more work. It's impossible.
This is just how Dead By Daylight is. It starts out with what are essentially novelty perks and then it becomes objective centered perks (generators and chase/gen boost)
-
Gonna be honest, chucky is starting to feel weak.
His stealth is unreliable because hidey ho duration is so short. This is making me feel like the need to run the iridescent amulet and also run an additional stealth perk to make up it.
People are getting good at avoiding slice and dice. Pretty much never getting scamper chain hits anymore. Btw i was NOT doing 180s. I don't want to throw my mouse across the room.
Scamper under pallet rarely feels useful, and this makes me feel the need to run hard hat.
I hope that he becomes 4.5m/s or 4.6m/s OR his terror radius gets reduced to 24m, and/or hidey ho mode duration gets increased.
I'm not sure how i would change scamper because it's a volatile ability. I just find it a bit underwhelming. I do find it useful to scamper through windows though but most pallet loops it seems like survivor can still go through. I tried athletic shoes and it didn't really help unfortunately.

Everyone has different ways of using add-ons, so I'd like you to hear this as my personal opinion. If this content is implemented, ・Ji-Woon's Autograph ・Lucky Blade ・Fizz-Spin Soda ・Cut Thru U Single I feel like I don't use it much.
That's true add-ons are customisations for powers after all.
But i have to ask why use the combo add-ons over the duration ones? They just seem straight up worse to me.
-
Strongly disagree.
It protects people from being streamsniped and just in general being harassed and targeted.
Yes it protects cheaters and toxic people in chat too but you don't need to know their names. You can report them and BHVR will be able to deal with them the same way as non anonymous mode users.
You do need to know a players name to target and harass them though so anonymous mode is fit for it's purpose.

Thanks all. Glad to hear that for several of you The Trickster feels better after the most recent changes. For those who think he feels in a pretty good spot - is it accurate to say that the biggest pain point / concern is his Add-ons? Specifically that Memento Blades feels like a must-have and/or that the others are too weak to provide much variety?
For those who feel The Trickster still isn't quite how you would want him - I saw a few comments about 8 knives vs. 6 knives, notably around the ammo capacity staying the same even though more knives are needed. I just want to make sure - did I miss any major context around that?
Yes i would agree with that.
I think there are too many main event duration add-ons.
Waiting for You Watch is probably the best one, the worst ones are the new combo extend add-ons. The goal of those add-ons is to increase your main event duration but you may as well just use Tequila Moonrock and Inferno Wires for that.
So, i would like to see Fizz Spin Soda and Ji-Woon's autograph reworked.
The duration extend (Inferno Wires and Tequila Moonrock) also feels inferior to the increase main event duration on blade hit which are Lucky Blade and Waiting for you Watch add-ons.
The duration add-ons are better though if line of sight is not plentiful or your accuracy is low but i think there only needs to be one for that (i would keep inferno wires). Because if you combine them both you get a 12-15 second main event and i don't feel like anyone really needs that.
Death Throes Compilation and Diamond Cufflinks feel very similar and i think the Diamond Cufflinks are better despite being lower rarity.
The 2 add-ons i think i find most useful are Memento Blades and Iridescent Photo Card. Memento blades are probably too good for a common add-on.
Now i will make an attempt of suggesting changes to some of the add-ons. Keep in mind i am just a player and i can't test these things and i do not have designer's intution so i don't expect these to be good ideas but i think it's better than me to instead of saying "Just rework them" to try and do it my self as well.
Memento Blades : Decreased throw rate bonus back to 5%, now Very Rare Rarity from Common
Ji-Woon's Autograph : New Effect : Decreases the cooldown before you can throw blades after a main event by 1.25 seconds
Tequila Moonrock : New Effect : Manually ending Main Event replenishes blades up to a maximum of 20 blades. Does not exceed the maximum carrying capacity.
Lucky Blade : New Effect : Time to enter throw state decreased by 0.1 seconds
Fizz-Spin Soda : New Effect : Time to exit throw state decreased by 0.25 seconds
Cut Thru U Single : Rarity changed to Common from Very Rare (It feels like every time you use this add-on, survivors stop bodyblocking for each other. Making it common rarity makes it more likely that it will see use and have an effect)
Death Throes Compilation : New Effect : Putting a survivor into the dying state with Main Event causes all other survivor to scream and reveal their location. Downing a survivor automatically ends Main Event. OR Downing a survivor with Main Event causes all dropped pallets in a 24 meter radius to break.

And yeah I assume most people that really want cross progression would be fine having to buy the characters again if it meant they kept prestige levels, perks, items and cosmetics.
Oh, right. I did the same answers as you and didn't get it. It's an enigma i suppose
-
I would honestly still use cross progression if i had to re-buy all the characters.
The main thing i want is the perks and MMR. Because MMR takes forever to calibrate and this takes longer with no perks and the game is boring with no perks.

-
I really don't think they need an overhaul, the prices have always been the same. It's clearly been working, because they said they are increasing production of cosmetics at the start of the year. They wouldn't do that if they weren't selling. There is a demand for more skins.
I would of course like them to be cheaper but i am still happy to buy cosmetics at the price they are currently. Yes the value doesn't make sense when you compare it with chapter DLCs but you can compare the prices of everything in the world and a lot of things don't add up.
There's games that are super cheap and have a loads of content and then there's games that have single digit hour amount of content and they are full price. The runtime of movies is much shorter than the average length of a video game but tickets are still similarly priced. Ordering pizza is extremely expensive compared to how much it costs to actually make or just buying a frozen one.
Truth is things will be priced at whatever the seller thinks it's worth and/or whatever they think is most profitable but still low enough to still be bought and make a profit. People can charge whatever they want for anything. There isn't exactly any rules to the price of things. Only norms, trends, expectations, logic and apparently Business Intelligence which i've heard is relevant to online gaming but i don't really know much about.
Not saying i think the prices are justified, because i think they are not. I just think they work. People still buy them, BHVR continues to be happy to make more of them and have been since the store started like 5 or 6 years ago

No one mentioned Gearhead still? Really? One of the most underrated perks right now.
It needs an audio notification, too easy to miss.
-
Apparently Lightborn. People seem to think this perk is unnecessary and i think otherwise because...
Avoiding flashlight saves is becoming damn near impossible since they buffed background player coupled with the buff they did to flashlights with the knight chapter. Background player also improved the usability of Flashbang.
You also can't avoid being blinded when breaking pallets and vaulting. Yes, you can hear the survivor, but not only do they know this and can use it to mislead you, light footed was added which silences your footsteps when healthy.
They also buffed blast mine significantly (120 second duration) you cannot avoid the blind of this normally so lightborn helps with that and it reveals the culprit, allowing you to serve justice!
I'd rather not push myself so hard and just use lightborn so i can focus on other things other than dealing with blind tools.
-
The only changes that i dislike that they've done since may 2021 (when i started playing)
Is the nerfs to Hex : Ruin and Hex : Thrill of the Hunt.
Ruin is just garbage now i regret every single time i go into a trial with it.
Thrill of the Hunt lost it's notification when a survivor started cleansing a totem. This perk was great for hex builds because it allowed you to defend totems. It doesn't notify you anymore and only increases cleansing/blessing speed which doesn't really help if you don't have the information to interrupt it anyway.
-
Think of the monetization in this game like a Santa sack with spikes inside of it.
Think of your arm as your wallet/purse
At the top of the sack you have the game and the chapter DLCs. Underneath that, is the cosmetics. The legendary ones are at the bottom.
The deeper the sack goes the more spikes there are. More money will spill out of your wallet/purse.
The deeper you go for dbd content the more expensive it's going to get. The cosmetics are "premium" content and the chapter DLCs are what i think are the "essentials".
So why is it more expensive? I think it's because really invested and dedicated players are going to get these legendary cosmetics because they want even more out of dead by daylight even if it's actual value is disproportionate to the "essentials".
BHVR scores big and the invested players feel even more invested in the game than before, their wallet/purse is turning into shreds!
But hey, that's just a theory.
Personally i still feel happy with the cosmetics that i buy because i am just that invested in the game. I feel like it's worth it even though i know logicially, the price doesn't match up with the value of what you're getting compared to what else is on sale. But perhaps the value lies in how you feel about the cosmetics. Yes it makes no sense how you can buy a survivor at 500 but maria is at 1485 but if you really like maria as a character then maybe that justifies the price, just for you. Yes it's not a "logical" purchase but if playing as maria will make you happy, parting with 1485 could be worth it.

My favourite one is hide and seek.
Least favourite is probably... "bumrush"
Sounds like a game mode that encapsulates everything people hate about the killer experience and cranks it up to 11.
Overall i think it's a solid list of ideas.

Yes i did have a problem with playing this game a lot a few months ago even when i did not want to just because i felt like i should be playing because i liked the game. I liked the game so i was getting mad when i wasn't enjoying it.
I have a bit of a different perspective now and i only play the game if i feel like it's worth playing. Every now and then i like to get my DBD fix.
I've been playing a lot less but at least once every 2 days i think. But more importantly i am enjoying the game much more and i am more appreciative of it.
I suggest being kind to yourself and doing what you want to do and not do what you think you should do.
I think there is things that people want to do and then there's they want to do because of what will happen if they don't do it.
Playing a game could fall into the 2nd one because of FOMO.
In my experience though playing a game only because of FOMO leads to burnout quick.
I enjoy games the most when i want to play it and then the limited time things serve as an additional incentive and not the main reason.
Nowadays fomo is not the only thing that makes me play games because fomo usually involves limited time rewards but if i don't want to play at that time then those rewards are not going to be any good anyways. Because those rewards most likely don't solve the reason why i am not playing in the first place.
I hope reading my thoughts may help you a little with this.

Yeah personally i didn't like how condemned felt so irrelevant originally so i love the new rework version. They said in the Q&A that they want to bring her back to her original a bit more but still improve stuff like condemned so i feel like they are going in the right direction i just have to wait to see if the execution is good.
