This is a PvP game. Yes I'm trying to win. There's nothing wrong with trying to win in a PvP game.

I'm not trying to "rip the guts out of the game". I'm wanting this character to be as good as he can be, for actually winning games. Yes this is a valid viewpoint.

I'm using this killer because I'm attracted to Trickster's sound and abilities, so I think I'll quit DBD when those things disappear. It's not just a game where you aim to win, but a game where you can enjoy the best experience. If you're just aiming for victory, I think you should just play another game or use a wraith that isn't interesting at all. What I see as a problem with the current Trickster is that the ``feel-good experience'' has decreased because the knife posting speed has become slower.

Well, I Just played against my first Trickster since the rework. If his blades are to stay the way they are, then he needs to be nerfed to 4.4 again. I feel like it was a big mistake to buff both his speed and his knives.

Old Trickster didn't have much counter play to begin with, but now he has absolutely none.

I used to play the odd Trickster Killer game, but now I'll never be playing him again. He's just so utterly miserable to face. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets more DCs than The Skull Merchant now.

What part of Trickster's knife is strengthened?

I hope I heard it wrong.

When playing Trickster, I often see Survivors get so focused on dodging knives that they crash into objects, walls, etc., but I think they're just in a hurry because they don't know how to chase. Masu.

You wouldn't know it just by playing against him once.LAMO

  • I think if you are injured with 8 knives, you can throw 4 knives per second.

If there are 6 knives, 3 knives will be thrown in 1 second.

I don't think it should be slower than this.

I think BHVR is probably thinking that they can do something with the main event.

In the first place, it is activated after the main event is injured and distanced, so unless you add the main event extension add-on, not only will it be worthless, but the cooldown time will be too long, and the survivors will go somewhere during that time. .

  • It takes longer to injure a Survivor with a knife than before.

Also, using a knife slows down your legs, so you won't be able to feel how fast you are moving.

I no longer feel the benefits of using a knife.

You might be able to feel the speed if you don't use a knife at all.

However, in such a place, it is just an incompetent M1 killer.

I am faced with a dilemma.

  • In the first place, I was in favor of a rework that strengthened Trickster, but

The rework done by BHVR was a bit strange, so

I'm just saying that the previous version was better than that. Please don't get me wrong.

The majority of the complaints are people just wanting the reworked to be reverted. That's not a valid option. We had current Trickster long enough to know he wasn't a good fit for the game.

And visual and audio bugs aren't feedback... they're bug reports.

NO. Please don't get me wrong. The current Trickster is weak with poor power levels, so I'm just saying that the previous version was better.

Also, there were too many add-ons that were no longer useful.

  • @Shrimplover said:

Trickster is better than his worst, but The best time was when I was injured by the previous 6 knives.

I think Trickster is getting weaker overall.

  • Trickster is better than his worst, but The best time was when I was injured by the previous 6 knives.

  • I think it would be better if Memento Blade was also included in the base kit.

Also, the add-on that allows the knife to penetrate doesn't have much use at present, so

Penetrates objects within 8 meters and deals 0.5 damage. What do you think?

Memento blade is by no means an overpowered add-on.

So please don't make it less effective or more rare.

Trickster has unique and interesting add-ons to use, such as knives that pierce, ricochet, and shatter.

However, they are all very rare and difficult for many players to use casually.

    I think so too.

  • @Shrimplover said:

I don't really use combo add-ons, so I don't really care about them.

Penetration addons are pretty much useless for survivors where I live.

They are working so hard to run the generator that they don't stick to other people's backs and cover for them in the first place.

I would like to see more add-ons that give severe bleeding, undetectability, inability to take action, and fatigue, rather than add-ons related to the main event.

Yes i would agree with that.

I think there are too many main event duration add-ons.

Waiting for You Watch is probably the best one, the worst ones are the new combo extend add-ons. The goal of those add-ons is to increase your main event duration but you may as well just use Tequila Moonrock and Inferno Wires for that.

So, i would like to see Fizz Spin Soda and Ji-Woon's autograph reworked.

The duration extend (Inferno Wires and Tequila Moonrock) also feels inferior to the increase main event duration on blade hit which are Lucky Blade and Waiting for you Watch add-ons.

The duration add-ons are better though if line of sight is not plentiful or your accuracy is low but i think there only needs to be one for that (i would keep inferno wires). Because if you combine them both you get a 12-15 second main event and i don't feel like anyone really needs that.

Death Throes Compilation and Diamond Cufflinks feel very similar and i think the Diamond Cufflinks are better despite being lower rarity.

The 2 add-ons i think i find most useful are Memento Blades and Iridescent Photo Card. Memento blades are probably too good for a common add-on.

Now i will make an attempt of suggesting changes to some of the add-ons. Keep in mind i am just a player and i can't test these things and i do not have designer's intution so i don't expect these to be good ideas but i think it's better than me to instead of saying "Just rework them" to try and do it my self as well.

Memento Blades : Decreased throw rate bonus back to 5%, now Very Rare Rarity from Common

Ji-Woon's Autograph : New Effect : Decreases the cooldown before you can throw blades after a main event by 1.25 seconds

Tequila Moonrock : New Effect : Manually ending Main Event replenishes blades up to a maximum of 20 blades. Does not exceed the maximum carrying capacity.

Lucky Blade : New Effect : Time to enter throw state decreased by 0.1 seconds

Fizz-Spin Soda : New Effect : Time to exit throw state decreased by 0.25 seconds

Cut Thru U Single : Rarity changed to Common from Very Rare (It feels like every time you use this add-on, survivors stop bodyblocking for each other. Making it common rarity makes it more likely that it will see use and have an effect)

Death Throes Compilation : New Effect : Putting a survivor into the dying state with Main Event causes all other survivor to scream and reveal their location. Downing a survivor automatically ends Main Event. OR Downing a survivor with Main Event causes all dropped pallets in a 24 meter radius to break.

Everyone has different ways of using add-ons, so I'd like you to hear this as my personal opinion. If this content is implemented, ・Ji-Woon's Autograph ・Lucky Blade ・Fizz-Spin Soda ・Cut Thru U Single I feel like I don't use it much.

Hmm. I think most of the changes are good, but aren't his add-ons too weak?

Compared to Huntress, I feel like there are more add-ons that can't be used.

In particular, the performance of Trickster's ultra-rare add-on is such that it has no use and makes you think it's a joke.

Edited sound source → If you take down a healthy survivor with just the knife, the knife will be reloaded.

Photo card → Reduce laceration gauge to 5

How is this kind of performance?

  • Even if I write here, the comment will be deleted without permission, so it feels pointless.

  • Default knife throwing speed is too slow.

Hello, I never thought I would be this disgruntled enough by a change in DBD to make a post but here I am. I'm a relatively newer player to DBD. I only started playing last year around this time and have recently taken breaks here and there but still engage in a lot of DBD content. I've come to really love this game despite never playing anything like it before and the chapter I really grew to love was the All-Kill chapter in general. I main both characters from it and while I play mostly survivor, I love hopping onto killer to play my other main (he was the first killer I picked up despite knowing how difficult he'd be on controller).

Now I just want to ask, what did Trickster do to piss off the Entity?

I can't speak to the logistics since I never pay close attention to any of that. Though I will say that Main Event is kind of a joke now. It feels like more of a sideshow and I'd rather have the original 30 blade activation ME instead of what we have now. However enough people have pointed out the RevertTrickster doc that two Trickster mains wrote up. Personally, I can say that Trickster was better before the rework. I don't understand who this rework was for: current Trickster mains or potential Trickster mains? No one really asked for Trickster to be changed. I saw far more people cry for Twins, Myers, Freddy, etc.

You are clearly listening to the wrong people. Please understand Trickster is for a niche set of players. Mass appeal does NOT work. Listen to the people who main him, who appreciate his character both gameplay and lore-wise. It feels like you listen to those who don't care or outright hate Trickster which I feel is a lot of major content creators and the community at large.

Not to mention this rework being thrown into the Chucky PTB felt like a slap in the face. I don't mind Chucky at all and think it is really cool what you did with him (And Tiff) but it really brought to my attention that BHVR really cares more for license content. The contrast between Chucky and Trickster couldn't be more stark. I understand license = bigger revenue but seeing Chucky handled with so much care and attention while Trickster is handled so sloppily is not a great look.

Personally, I would have loved more QoL stuff for Trickster like more voice lines which are bugged currently or even a map or a rework of his perks (how come NONE of his perks or even add-ons cause the survivor to scream, isn't that his whole shtick?). His charm has been lost or maybe the team working on his gameplay and perks never truly had an understanding for his character and personality. It's a shame because looking as a new player to DBD it seemed like All-Kill had a lot of effort put into it in the beginning: from the animated teasers, to the phone calls where we can hear Yun-Jin and Trickster speak to each other (that no one seems to know about for some reason), to the behind the scenes stuff on the music and lore.

I don't get it. Where did that drive go? Even his map got scrapped and seems unlikely to be released ever. It also seems like you all forgot about the K-pop aspect of a K-POP chapter. Cosmetic-wise both Yun-Jin and Trickster have been lacking in K-pop inspired or Korean streetwear inspired clothes (even DBD mobile has more K-pop inspired fits than the core game). Like the Neon Nights collection and Yun-Jin's fit in that. How hard is it to reference Korean fashion? I heard parts of the Korean community are not happy with most of the the All-Kill duo's fashion. Look at the leading ladies and gentlemen in K-pop for inspiration. I know cosmetics is not the point of the post but I feel so frustrated over the handling of this chapter in general in the present day that I couldn't wait for another survey to dump my thoughts there. Anyways, the creativity and vision lacking in such simple things as this is disappointing especially seeing how the actual K-pop industry has a plethora of inspiration to draw from.

Consequently, I want to end with that I do appreciate the space in my life DBD has now taken up and I applaud the team for doing their best to improve the game constantly even when/if they miss the mark. But this rework? This was not it and made me really rethink my stance on BHVR as a company. It's unfortunate because even if Trickster is reverted it probably won't be for another year. I still want to play and enjoy him but I'm not sure and it makes me feel so sad honestly. Trickster isn't Demo or Bubba or Billy who the general playerbase loves, he is NICHE and changes, buffs, QoL, etc. should appeal to the people who play him and love to verse him. I have seen enough of this community to come to that conclusion because people who hate Trickster will never like him no matter what you do. Sorry for the long post and I highly doubt anyone will read from start to finish but it feels nice to give my thoughts in a cathartic way. Thank you.

This is the opinion of a controller player.

  • Bhvr is making 4.6 too much of a nerf indulgence.

  • Even if I use a knife, I'm weak,

The main event is also weak.

    Weak even when hit,

Additionally, the add-ons are also weak.

    Everything is too weak.

  • It's scary how Bhvr seems satisfied with just fixing Memento Blade.

I think Trickster should receive basic performance enhancements.

  • @FreeKnives said:

Because of the hype and Youtubers sensationalizing PTB Trickster, people who just picked up Trickster and are in low MMR are suggesting more nerfs... So many people who have never touched Trickster, are calling for more nerfs.... Twitter is a buzz with misinformation once more... And I bet anything BHVR will listen to them. Not the people who actually play Trickster. This update has killed this character. There is no rewarding feeling for playing him like 4.4 Trickster had...

Trickster is so misunderstood by people who dont play him, and BHVR refuses to listen to people who have mastered him. I just cant. I havent been this disappointed in a game company since EA dropped the ball on Battlefront 2.

The worst thing about these youtubers is that in order to increase their viewership, they make a fuss about something even though it's not even a problem, stirring up anxiety and conflict among their viewers.

Moreover, since they take no responsibility at all, they are nothing but evil.

To begin with, Trickstar wasn't very strong at the time of PTB except for ultra rare add-ons.

Once Plague's vomit comes into contact with you, you will be injured and can only recover from the spring. Why does Trista's knife return to empty health in 10 seconds? Moreover, if you don't hit the 8 slow speed balls, you won't get hurt.

It feels strange to me that even if you struggle with 7 knives, you will return to a healthy survivor 10 seconds later without receiving any debuffs.

Also, the current main event is pretty much garbage, so it's not worth saving up for the main event.

Bhvr should have returned the money they had made from the Trickster costume back to him.

If you're going to weaken the trickster this much,

I would also like a refund.

Did you actually intend to weaken the Trickster from the beginning?

Even though the usage rate and kill rate are originally low.

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

the 4.6 ms is in my opinion problematic. Ranged killers are balanced around the fact that they can injure survivors from a distance, so having a ranged killer with 4.6 ms makes trickster really unfun to play against. On short wall loops, he still just downs you with blades with little to no counterplay and on the previously somewhat safe high wall loops he just chases like a normal m1 killer to force a quick pallet drop and hit the survivor with blades while they're moving to the next tile.

I think artists and nurses are stronger.

  • As it turns out, this new trickster is stronger without a knife. His abilities have been nerfed to such a level that I can no longer understand why he carries a knife.

He became just an incompetent killer.
