Well, considering the majority of high rank survivors are bad and average players it's possible to stay at high ranks with any killer if you're good enough.

On a serious note i'm 100% sure it's a bug related to WGLF.Something certain needs to happen and then you get the 100% increase for actions like vaulting
Already happened to 1 of my friends

Is there a good reason why Cheryl's cosmetics that portray her are linked as a set? Why can't we mix and match her hair styles outside of the legendary Lisa and Cybil skins? Especially with her Christmas sweater coming out I'd like some agency over how she looks.
I guess it might be licensing issues on konamis part.

Another one of the Twins perks bites the dust 😞
It's now a bad tracking perk that will help the survivors more than the killer
Inb4 nerf to oppression that only makes it only activate if all the gens are done
To be fair,
It wouldn't be BHVR if they wouldn't nerf perks that are already trash

So I want to start off and say you cant complain about keys not being nerfed when it isnt just a number change and mori is. The nerf will come in due time so let's give the devs time.
To start before the nerf people were down with the nerf to mori despite never using them. If you ask any killer main here they will say they rarely use moris. But now that it's been nerfed why are these same killer mains complaining about it being "useless".
I seriously cant understand how we people are getting angry about an objectively broken thing getting nerfed, and claiming bias. It doesnt look good and atleast on my experience I can say killers are more whiny and it kinda shows but let's ignore that for now and think about this.
What if keys were to be nerfed first and moris left under the guise of "moris are rarely used". Guarenteed any complaint from a survivor is shut down because everyone knows survivors are the oppressors and killers are the oppressed.
That's just speculation but I'd say its accurate for what it is.
Nah,man
The devs showed their survivor bias yet again. It's always killer nerf over and over again.Very disapointed in the devs. How am i gonna win now against SWF deathsquads with their keys and haddonfield offerings i face every game.
Enjoy your queue times filthy survivor mains !1!1!1111!!

Really? I can never seem to hear footsteps, even when I use headphones. Injured sounds go in and out and seem omnidirectional; if I can't see blood I can't track injured survivors.
If the survivors is injured,on an indoor map, swamp or red forest then it's easy to track them.
Reworked maps however are harder to track the sounds because the stupid grass on them make 0 sounds >:(

Hello
Victor cannot be kicked or interacted with (except than the Survivor inside the locker) while he is on the locker. It is also full 10 sec. lower than this, is a bug. Yes we counted the 3sec wake up of the killer when we decided on the 10 sec. It might feel as a conservative value but its a new feature and was not on the PTB so we do not know how this feature will really affect the gameplay yet. If it requires a buff, we will readjust.
Also, Victor locker check was never approached as a sure grab, so its totally ok that the Survivor can still escape under certain conditions. If Survivor would know that its a 100% bad outcome, they would simply not use the locker.
Thank you very much for the feedback .You should be more often on this forum :)
When i was using Charlotte to grab the survivor out of the locker victor was blocking i noticed that red glow on him and assumed that you would be able to kick him because that is usually the indicator that you can.

I don't see it that way, no pun intended.
It's not fun to look at for me, and others, I'm sure.
And not everyone plays with the best sound set up, and swings godly while blind.
It's too situation for me to call it beneficial.
You don't need a fancy 300€+ headset to track their sounds while being blinded. My headset is like 20€ and i can still hear them most of the time.
You also don't have to swing at them.Just track their sounds and hit them as soon as you can confirm their position.

You don't see "haha I'll blind you every pallet break" as taunting?
You may not be thinking that, but I don't see why a killer would think otherwise.
Saying you're not bothered is normalizing your experience, and well, killer players vary. Your experience isn't always the way others experience things. They vary. Some might not be playing all that optimally, some are bothered by being blinded continuously.
I'm going to be blunt, there's too many ways to show an image that doesn't reflect the truth for me to be interested in it as proof.
It's definitely different than a killer downing people. Flashlights aren't necessary. At all. They aren't base kit, and a survivor could never use a flashlight ever, and be successful.
Saying the same about a killer and their power is hardly a comparable argument.
Getting blinded at pallets is actually beneficial because you can still track them with sounds and essentially get a free hit if you hear them well enough

Also, other survivors seem to be able to kick victor while he's blocking the locker

Have you tried to play at different times?
In my region you are more likely to face good players if you play very very early in the morning and with crossplay turned off.

How do you meet an average player on red ranks, tell me pls. Cause all i face on red ranks is 2 gens poping while i may get 2 hooks, if mindgames work on loops.
Are you sure?
Because from what i've seen after like 3 years of playing on red ranks is that the majority of players in high ranks is pretty bad or average at the game.
Very good survivors are pretty rare to see in my experience.

Why would anyone like playing against mories? It's not fun for survivors to get tunneled immediately after getting unhooked once and leave the game with like 3000 points.

Wow i can count how many moris you would face, whats your point?
Death squads are incredibly rare and don't justify the existence of an overpowered offering.
I would argue that most people used moris not to counter those death squads but solely to stomp average players or else i would not have seen so many first hook mories with 5 or 4 gens.

This was just such a scummy move on the dev's part. You could have put this in the ptb so people would know about the change in advance. But you intentionally didn't because you knew we'd burn through these things with the key-gate issue we are dealing with in the game right now.
So that everyone spams their mories like there's no tomorrow?
I'd rather not

How about map offerings, how do we balance them? Cause i sure know that there are 4 survs and each can have a map offering while going against one offering of the killer. In addition how many moris can one have at a specific moment?
Now i dont like moris cause you cant really pip with them to get to higher ranks, but one thing for sure is that right now all i will do is wait for key change because God forbid you get swf with OoO and key who know what they are doing(which they always are on red ranks)
How many key + OoO death squads do you face though.
I can count them on one hand...
After several thousand hours of gameplay :]

Every one talks about this "Problem Mori" game but how many times did it actually happen? I've been playing this game for a year and a half and think I only saw a game or two where the killer Moried everyone in a first few min. I feel like it was I thing we all feared but it never really happened.
The killer doesn't have to mori everyone immediately to make the match awful.
Just tunneling and removing the first person they've found (like killers with moris ALWAYS do) and thus turning it in a 3 vs 1 early on already made it near impossible to win as survivor
-
@MythMage said:
As a fellow Killer main, I 100% agree. I feel like mori's should be purely for a more interesting death than the Entity stabbing you like some weird horror hentai.
I'm not even upset about them not nerfing keys at the same time. I'm really not bothered by keys too much. Survivors who escape with a key, at least to me, essentially say one or more of the following:
"I concede. We can't beat you, so we'll just use a key and escape"
"I want to be an ######### but don't have the skill to do so"
"I could escape out the exit gates, but I want extra BP" (these guys are fine. I respect them)
"I care more about the bold "Escaped" words on the screen than enjoying the game"
Same,
it may suck when survivor "ouplay" you with a key,but it's sooo incredibly rare that i couldn't care less.
I see more people playing plague, billy, demo or hag as survivor than key escapes and that says a lot lol

*Best thing BHVR could have ever done.
They were essentially free wins that carried a LOT of killer that used them.
It may be weaker but it's still decent to avoid DS after their second hook,flashlight/pallet saves and situation where you can find another hook near you.

Fair. I thought that was poorly worded. But that DS argument is baseless. Any good survivor will now just use DS on the first hook every time because it is guaranteed value since you know they can't Mori you.
How will survivors force their DS on you though?
If they try to get your attention then ignore them like we always do with those clicky clicky survivors

Yeah but it's not like they were going to know you had hoarder. I feel like that was the perks entire strength, making them waste time searching chests for lousy items.
Now they search chests for good items? That's not wasting their time. Why would you ever bring it? There's much better tracking perks to use.
Hmm,your first point makes sense i agree.
I guess it's just another perk that encourages a different kind of tracking that adds a little slowdown for survivors. Some people just don't want to run the same perks over and over again,so i guess that's fine.

A nerf i would suggest blood orbs should have a limited time: this should allow for oni to absorb blood orbs as soon as it is available.
Oni Mains are not afraid of missing hits because they literally get their powers everywhere.
Oni only gets his power if you allow him.
Faster healing perks and medkits counter him.
Also, playing super safe in the beginning is super important.Once he gets that first hit in and gets his power he's able to snowball.
Delaying that gives him less chances to snowball.
It's similiar to Myers if you will

4.4.0 Patch Notes Addendum:
- Technical Flashlight Rework and optimization
- Updated Flashlight VFX and animations
- Added audio feedback when using the Flashlight against Killers.
OK, shouldn't affect me much, but this is good. Very good.
Features
- Increased default Flashlight accuracy back to normal
Good. I can tell people were ticked off about this.
- Appraisal now only allows Survivors to rummage through the same chest once
IMO, this isn't needed, but I see why they did it. Will wait and see how this plays out.
- Ebony and Ivory Memento Moris now require the targeted survivor to have been hooked twice
About damn time. Will make those mori dailies a bit harder on Killers I don't play (I already feel bad about them), but this is overall a great change.
- Victor can now search lockers, if a Survivor is found inside, the player will be send back to control Charlotte while Victor will block the Survivor in the locker for up to 10 sec.
So they finally put this in. Nice. Only problem: 10 seconds ain't enough. That's less time than the Exposed effect from Iron Maiden. Looks like that's gonna be a must pick on the Twins.
Content
- Hoarder: Increased the distance at which Survivor locations are revealed from 24/36/48 meters to 32/48/64 meters
OK, minor buff. This perk is still worthless, but it's a nice buff. Glad that it isn't getting the Gearhead/Coup De Grace treatment.
- Hoarder: Removed the stipulation that it decreases the rarity of items found in chests
Aaaaaaand I take that back. What the hell, BHVR? At the very least if you're going to do this, make the items gained out of chests have like 50% of its base charges or something. Why in the hell would anyone run this now? It was a nice little casual perk that had its uses, but now it's almost as bad as Distressing. I'm incredibly disappointed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that allowed Victor to pounce on Survivors inside lockers
- Fixed an issue where Victor was misaligned during the Twins mori
- Fixed an issue where Victor was misaligned in the lobby for The Twins
- Fixed an issue that caused Victor to get stuck in the ground when released at certain locations.
- Fixed an issue that caused Victor to appear to fall through the ground from survivor's perspectives when released.
- Fixed an issue that may prevent releasing Victor after being stunned during the release interaction.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the screen to remain black after manually changing from Victor to Charlotte.
- Fixed an issue that caused the blinding effect to carry over when switching from Victor to Charlotte.
- Fixed an issue that caused the animation to continue when cancelling the Twins mori.
- Fixed an issue that caused Victor to remain on a survivor killed by the end game collapse.
- Fixed an issue that caused Victor to see blocked generator auras red instead of white.
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Twins power to become unusable under poor network conditions.
- Fixed an issue that allowed survivors to crawl out of the exit gate after being hit while having Victor on their back.
- Fixed an issue that caused survivors to bounce when destroying Victor when standing on obstacles.
So, they fixed most of the Twin's bugs. Good, very good. Excellent job BHVR. I also read the thing talking about why they pushed this patch through, and I understand. 300K BP is not enough, and you really should have delayed the release, but I understand why you did it. Thank you for telling us the "why", BHVR.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Oni not to absorb blood orbs during his successful hit animation.
Nice. Love to you Oni mains out there. Hope to see more of you now <3
- Fixed an issue that caused the FOV of the Legion not to increase while running during Feral Frenzy.
Nothing here about Legion except this one. Will have to test, but I think they are still bugged. Oh well.
I think the hoarder change is really good, because people are now more willing to search through the chests which you can capitalize on
-
I think 15 or 20 seconds would have been better
-
I'm not gonna think that everyone will be using keys now honestly, vecause we don't even know when the key changes will come.

And before I read through the comments about how bhvr only releasing cosmetics instead of fixing bugs, the design team and the bug fixing team are COMPLETELY different. Be mad on the bugs if you want, but you have to admit that the cosmetics and characters, as always, look pretty dope.

None, none should be added
What's the point of adding something like this to a game where survivors are trying to survive or endlessly get killed?
Why do people always must do something like this into a game, when it doesn't matter, because of the games setting?
There's not even a stable foundation of a lore for this game, and BHVR hasn't followed their own lore more than half the time whenever they change something in their game or add something.
Games like dead by daylight or literally any other games that are similar to this in terms of multiplayer, are there to play and to have fun, not to worry about the sexuality of a character, cause characters in these types of games don't matter, they are just characters you can play as.
And they certainly don't matter in a game where theses survivors are endlessly trying to survive or are endlessly getting killed in many ways.
As for the rest of the thread
"We want to feel connected to a character" is the most single overused bad excuse ever to be thrown around for trying to add something not needed. And it just doesn't makes sense either for this game, because if your trying to connect with a character in this game, your saying as well you are constantly trying to survive or endlessly dying IRL. Which you aren't.
Well, why shouldn't LGBT characters be added in the game if we already have characters that are confirmed to be in straight relationships?
It might not matter to you but there are people that just want characters they can relate to.I see nothing wrong with that
-
@EvilJoshy said:
If they were to add a LGBTQ character to dbd. I can guarantee you there will be people who get upset when that character gets killed. If they didn't want bad things to happen to this person maybe they shouldn't have wanted them added to a horror game?
There were also people that thought leatherface having a black mask is racist.
Some people will always be extra drama.
But that shouldn't be a reason against adding a LGBT character.
-
@MiniPixels said:
I honestly feel like confirming that a character identifies in "x" way goes completely against what the devs have said about wanting to make characters that people can relate to, obviously if it's a licensed figure then that's a different story, but defining that a character is straight or gay then makes them less relatable to a lot of people, the ambiguity of not knowing what a character defines themselves as or what their sexuality is lets people use their imagination, most players aren't going to see a survivor and choose them because in the lore they're "x", they'll choose them because they like the way they look, or the cosmetics they wear. I'm all for a character that has "girl" clothing on a guy or vice versa but confirming their sexuality accomplishes nothing, it just makes it harder for people to relate to the character. I think representation is very important, but the media needs to wake up and realize that rubbing it in peoples faces is what creates the hate for the community in the first place.
Yeah, but what about characters like legion (frank and susie),nurse or felix?
Those were more or less confirmed to be in a straight relationship in their lore, but nobody complained about it being "rubbed in their face".
So at that point why shouldn't we have some LGBT characters in the game so people could relate to them? Most people don't read the lore so they wouldn't be affected anyway.

Ash, Jeff, and Jane are all overweight. But the reason why you don't see any survivors who weigh more than them is because all survivors have the same hitbox. So anyone with more girth would cause issues as their model would extend beyond the default survivor hitbox. You'd have hits that don't actualy count as hits, as while the weapon hitbox contacted the model, it techincally missed the survivor's hitbox.
Another issue is that all male and female survivors share the same animations of their respective genders in-game. A fat or obese survivor would probably have to have slightly changed animations for it to look okay. Which is extra work.
Ash doesn't really look like he's overweight at all

It sounds like a good idea, but the only thing it would do is actually add to the staleness in the game because now people will not only min max their killer side but their survivor side as well.
