Yeah sure. It's now 4 seconds per blink.
Finally nurse is balanced!

Hope you guys are researching nurse..theres a lot of posts about her and I know many would love to know what's going on in your guys' minds...I feel she wasnt left in a good state
Agree 100%. Look at her pickrate, and you'll see the problem

Survivors hear intenstity of heartbeat (unless it's a ghostface) , partially see red light moving , can hear swing of weapon during lunge , spirit in her phase doesn't give you a jackshit .
At least she is standing still, so you know the mindgame is coming, whether she is faking it or really phasing
-
Btw does wearing frost eye as spirit gives away when she is phasing? I asked this in other posts, but no one reply

You still can see red light through walls? Just curious
-
So i think the conclusion is, versing spirit is a mindgame that looks like guessing. Because you cannot say it's guessing when prediction and analysis comes into play for both sides. So you're playing a mindgame, but feels like guessing because the odds you win the mindgame is skew towards spirit
IMO it should be like this, because she still has other 3 survivors to take care. If she and survivor has equal odds of winning the chase, then she is not going to win the game because the game goes really fast
-
@arslaN said:
I wouldn't say going against someone who literally gives you no feedback on what they are doing is a mindgame. In fact, both sides aren't really "mindgaming" that much.
Spirit mostly reacts to what survivors are doing like moving the grass, scratch marks, grunts of pain, breathing, footsteps etc. and the actual mindgaming isn't that much.
Survivors have 0 information on what she is doing and they mostly just guess. That's not to say you can't do anything against her and you can definitely predict some things but I wouldn't say it's a mindgame.
So moonwalking as m1 killer at some walls when survivors cannot see the killer is not mindgame too? The information you get is 0 too

We're in a chase. I throw down a pallet, and you remain motionless near the pallet. I have literally no way to know what you are doing. You might be coming around to hit me. You may just be standing there. I have no information about where you are.
I get what you're saying, in the sense that you can theoretically learn how a given Spirit plays. But it starts out as a guessing game no matter what (since you have no way of knowing during your first chase), and the Spirit player can just switch up what they do, and so then it's still a guessing game.
When spirit starts chasing you, she doesn't know what you will do too. So it goes both ways
Actually, the subtle indication about she is phasing or not has mindgame potential. Because spirit does not know whether you notice it or not. She might mindgame herself with this in mind.
-
@LordGlint said:
Pretty sure the 176% movement speed it gives would still be a good reason to use the power, lol.
So you only use her power for travelling the maps? If her power doesn't grant her any advantage during chase, like legion ff on already deep wound survivors, why use it?
-
@Pleebean said:
Lol "The moment you start thinking it's a mindgame" is such a dumb argument.
Is waking up and wondering what you'll have for breakfast a mindgame too? What about deciding to ######### on hook after getting hooked by a spirit, is that a mindgame too?
You misunderstood my post i guess, or you didn't read the whole post
-
@Rydog said:
A mindgame implies both sides have information to base their decisions on. Spirit gives little to no information about what she's doing, so it's as good as a guess, whether you should jump over the pallet or not while she's motionless.
I just used Prayer Beads for the first time earlier today, after playing Spirit for months. And hoo boy, does it ever make the situation about a thousand times worse. That add-on is super-BS.
Actually, you have information, which is how the spirit plays in the game, and base on your experience of versing spirit, you can make prediction.
Spirit also lose some information when using power too. If you're not injured, most of the time spirit won't know where you are either. So it's both ways, spirit needs prediction and experience
This has already make the situation a mindgame

Salty people would just end up camping and tunneling the SWF players. Don't think it'd be a very good system. Some killer players overrate SWF way too much. Most of them are just as bad if not worse then solo players. Just lose to the power squads and eat the noobies up.
If SWF are messing around, then it's fine. We all can still have a good game
But if SWF goes into tryhard mode, it's not fine. How is one-sided game fun?

She wasn't that hard to control when using 5 blinks add on, even if you were new at this game.
How is she unfun and uncomfortable to play as when she still function the same? All you have to do now is be more patient with your blinks if you are always replying on using multiple blinks.
She still function the same as ever, so your reasoning for complaining about her makes no sense. Just because she is hard to use, doesn't mean she is unfun. It means you are just not good at using her unlike other players. Why don't you take your time and properly learn her instead of always wanting to constantly blink all the time?
Why should the nurse be able to move that fast when she is capable of ignoring all defences against suriviors? This isn't a complaint, it is just you wanting her to be like how you want her to play as.
Moreover, why would the devs monitor her still? There's plenty of gameplay out there to show the new nurse is srill capable of easily getting 3k all games if you know how to use her.
Everyone agreed those add-ons need to go. So what are you talking about?
And you sound like you don't play nurse at all, and only experience her when playing survivors
Of course from survivor perspective, she is still the same, but we're talking about killer perspective here. You should not apply survivor perspective to killer perspective
-
She got legion treatment. Look at how they look at legion, left in the corner...

Because more people have to deal with playing against Spirit than playing AS Doc. If you dont like Doc, you have the choice of picking someone else, but people playing AGAINST Spirit dont have the choice of picking another opponent, bar DC of course.
At this rate, survivors' complains will all get changes before killer's complain..
-
Yeah, why spirit gets change before doc's buff? I though devs promise after nurse change, doc is the next

I cant blame them tho, both amulet and beads are broken.
I assume that last time you endured it the whole game, and endured the post game chat after they bullied you
But when you want to bully them back, they just escape through dc and said it's not fun. This is not healthy. If you hate it, at least finish the game and move on, not dc immediately.
And i guess these matches are included in devs statistics, and they came out with a conclusion of "not fun" or "overperforming"
-
Sadly, devs are not gonna answer to any posts about nurse
They didn't respond to any feedback during nurse PTB, so they don't, and will not respond in future too
Nurse is officially another legion
-
"If a killer can kill, he deserves nerf", from survivor mains
It's a joke
-
Crying and whining is better method for asking something than with civilized method
Devs proved it.
-
If you don't whin, devs will do nothing.
Look at solo buff and weaker killer buff, people asks devs nicely and in civilized way to buff them, but nothing is done by devs
Look at nurse and spirit, or instaheal and initial MoM, they proved that enough whining can force devs to do things. It's called "feedback"
Not that i approve these whining though, but sadly it's true

Because if you were a bad nurse player that had to use omega blinks to secure your hits, or basically take 4 or more blinks to land a hit I would say you were.
Again I am talking about red ranks right now, now brown - purple. There were a LOT of really bad nurse players who just abused how strong nurse was to get to red ranks, and without her really strong addons they would not have gotten there at all.
we only want base kit revert, not those add-ons. Your statements are only justify add-ons nerf, not base kit. i'm pretty sure people are happy that those add-ons are gone, including those who abuse it
-
Hotfix: Now legion has cardiac problem. After using feral frenzy, he gets cardiac arrest and die instantly

If we're talking base-kit, than no. If you add add-ons and perks into the mix and a sprinkle of skill than it depends on the Killer mains that use those Killers to make them viable.
That doesn't really solve the issue though if most Killers are add-on reliant or perk reliant to be viable... so buffing base-kit would help a lot, and even some map changes could improve things greatly.
Being forced to run certain perks and add-ons on killer in order to compete on red rank is not fun. Running the exact same build every game is not fun, just like versing 10 spirits in a row.
So yeah, base-kit buff is needed badly

If they want to take it that way. I just find the overreaction on the forums ridiculous when it comes to nurse. A lot of bad nurses got weeded out and are complaining because they cannot rely on their omega blink nurse to carry them through a game. If you are a good nurse, you will still play well and perform well.
Why do you talk like every nurse players that are bad currently were relying on omega blink?
-
@FireHazard said:

If you can utilize the right perk combos and add-ons than you can be viable at Red Ranks with said Killer. I do it with Wraith, Pig, I've even done it with pre-rework Freddy!
If we're talking base-kit than no, but I wasn't talking about base-kit.
Being strong and being viable are two different things yes, but they sometimes do go hand and hand. For one, nobody at low ranks who plays Spirit is playing her to be viable... they're playing her because she's strong and the "SS Tier" Killer. You don't need Spirit to be viable at low ranks... yet a fair bit of people are playing her because of that reason.
And yes, she's one of the most viable killers at Red Ranks... that's kind of why they should idk... buff the other low tiers?
It's good we see eye and eye on that main point at least.
Also, about Freddys dream snares
Dropping the pallet early will not stop him from downing you... you can loop around the pallet all you want, but if he can drop snares to shorten the loop or force you to sit at the pallet and vault it over and over, than that's not a "counter-play..." that's a dead end.
Snares have no cooldown, they have no draw backs, they don't really have a counter except leaving the loop when he drops them... but than he can just follow you after doing that... and than the snare is left there for the next person to be hit by it and be downed.
Not everyone is going to drop the pallet early or leave the loop when he's using his dream snares though. And if they do, they'll still get downed regardless.
but
This isn't why I made this post, to talk about his power, so we'll leave it at that (I hope.)
Wait a minute.. his snares are worthless if you are not in dream..
So i guess not falling asleep is a counterplay

60 seconds is probably around the same time, if not quicker than any other killer could accomplish the same feat (except spirit) due to pallet loops. So with that in mind she is pretty balanced, especially considering you can't run in a straight line forever, AND considering that video proof is based off of the survivor running when nurse is 32 meters away which is definitely not always the case.
That just comes to the point where gen is too fast
-
@DevourOfSalt said:

-
@Zoldyar said:

It also doesn't change the fact a killer can't just use add ons. Not only that but if you wait for 2 blinks to charge you can get to a surivior running in a straight line with 4 blinks. Including that with perks to dodge or go further it would take 1 or 2 more extra blinks. So if we are saying it will take 6 blinks it would take the killer 15 seconds to catch and knock them down. Do I need to explain how quick that time is compare to how long it takes to do a gen? That's if the killer doesnt use add on.
Lol, you need 2 hits to down survivors without perks, you know.. so the time you need is at least double or more, because good survivors can make her miss her blink.
So when it gets extended to 40 - 50 sec, and plus bringing survivors to hooks, 50 - 60 sec is already gone, and this is still not include the time nurse finds survivors at the start. If all things are calculated, by the time you find and chase another survivors, 3 gens are done
-
Let's hope they don't further nerf her after PTB
-

Not really, she still moves at 176% speed at base, add sounds and scratch marks into the mix and you're still not likely to get away. Lets not forget you have to walk unless you want to run into her (for a free hit) so you don't leave scratch marks, so you're only at 56% speed. So in total she has 120% speed on you (that's almost default Billy speed advantage with chainsaw while she can go in any direction freely), while she can hear your footsteps, breathing, and if you're injured you're screwed. No we don't "throw iron will into the mix" because
A) perks aren't counterplay against killers. We shouldn't have to run perks good against 1 or 2 of 17 killers because they're unbalanced.
B) Stridor says hi
C) You still hear footsteps even in the worse case scenario
D) Scratch marks and moving grass lead her near you, into sound range. At the worst back onto the survivor.
Knowing she's phasing alone won't do too much, we also need something else. She either needs omnisound so she can't tell direction, loss of scratch marks, an indication of where she's at for the survivors, or something else. The community has given plenty of alternatives. She won't be garbage, she will be fairer. Spirit problems, in the simplest terms, is she gives the survivors no info while she gets a boatload and a speed boost, on a low cooldown, with no downsides besides losing the body of the survivor in a game where sound and scratch marks matters more.
Her clues are too subtle. Tiny shards glowing on her body is not good enough when skins, lighting, LOS, and the survivor looking where they're going for 2 seconds can get in the way. Footsteps are not good enough if they're so light you need to be on a rainy map and without chase music to hear them. She needs changes.
her power has cooldown you know..

So i was made aware by @Omans that i should use double blinks. I had tested it the same day, i dont know how but i got it wrong. Maybe i was too shocked about single blinks however this is the result i am still not really satisfied with the results but it looks better than single.
However you would only have to juke her all 3 double blinks, you can waste alot more time with an exhaustion perk and ofc after being hit. A chase like this can actually make it for quite along time.
doesn't change the fact that survivors can waste a lot of time by just running straight line
and it doesn't include any exhaustion perks like dead hard, sprint burst, etc. In real match you are going to have a hard time chasing these survivors
-

so the fact that I can 2-4k against coordinated rank 1-4 survivors with killers such as huntress, doctor, wraith, hag, freddy, and ghostface somewhat consistently (with a few horrible rounds here or there that only result in 0-1k) makes them doodoo or unreliable?
I mean... we aren't supposed to get 4k everytime, the average should be closer to 2k, which I'm pretty sure my average is closer to 2k in red/ 3k in purple and easily 4k in yellow/green. (guess it would be something like 3.6-3.7 as a rough estimate)
I'm glad they didn't nerf spirit into the ground and I'm a little sad about how hard they nerfed nurse... but most killers don't need buffs.
some very much do, especially poor amanda... but I'm pretty happy with where most killers are.
kills should no be used for balance. survivors can suicide on hook

A mindgame is something you do to outsmart someone, it's not running in a straight line after someone and leaving them with no way to tell what you're doing. You can't really expect the survivor to not be close to the killer unless you give them a way to always maintain distance from the killer, which is tricky when the killer can turn invisible and catch back up at 7.2m/s.
This is off-topic...
But survivors running in a straight line when versing current nurse while she have a hard time to catch up is survivors outsmart her?
Please revisit her

@HatCreature said:
Guys all that was changed was her add-ons being nerfed, how is this counterplay and how will that help Survivors?
I can see the no collision helping as both players will be 100% in the guessing game, that helps.
The window thing feels too much as that in itself was a mind game and it was super creepy when you saw her actually vault so I'm sad that's changing, that felt too much.
So instead of just giving her no collision they gutted several add-ons why?
Now when you use Prayer Beads the person right in front of you knows you're phasing....Frank's Mix Tape all over again.
I usually play without add-ons, so that's fine
But i agree that i'm sad the unique vault animation is gone. It was a good mindgame place, and not a lot of windows can be used for mindgames.
