Out of the three, hag is the one I rarely see. Deathslinger sometimes and legion kinda often. If I play for a good 3-4h sesh I usually see a legion game.

You know what makes the game even less fun? Players DC'ing when they verse a killer they don't like. I play a lot of spirit, and 4 out of the 6 games today had 2 people DC the moment they found out what killer they were playing against.
Yeah, stay in the game when it's a weak killer, but the moment they see a blight, nurse or spirit, then suddenly it's too much and instantly ruin the game for all the other players in the match. I could rant about this for ages, but it has made playing killer seriously not fun. If I want the survivors to actually stay in the game, I got to pick anything but those 3 killers. Weak sauce man.
Can't even play survivor, because the same thing happens with my "team"mates when it's a Blight, a Nurse, a Spirit or a Huntress. I think I've seen more people DC today than I have all week.
Yea I got three matches of 3v1 in a row today, one of them was spirit, the other two were freakin MYERS and TRAPPER and people still manage to babyrage on first down and dc. This is the most frustrating part of soloqueue.
-
Most of the time I just forget lol. I'm not a fan of map offerings either, I just use them if I'm getting an annoying map more than 3 times in a row
-
Yea, seems you guys are not facing competent killers yet. But its a fact playing with a good SWF is the easiest way to play this game if you compare it to soloqueue or killer.

Very outdated mechanic imo, should just have an X amount of coldown after you hit the cap, so you can stalk again later if needed.

Ah yes, I suppose I am a snowflake for literally throwing up at the sight of a spider. How dare I not wish to projectile vomit whenever I face this killer. What a snowflake.
I meant the devs being snowflakes for not adding it. If you throw up cause u see a spider in game tho ur kinda a snowflake, sry to say. Maybe don't play horror games

Unlikely.
There would be 5 'This Is Not Fine People Have Arachnophobia Be Better BHVR' thinkpieces penned on Kotaku within the day.
Well its a horror game, and theres a clown already. And the entity kinda is a spider already so I hope they don't be snowflakes about it and make the spider killer anyway :)

I don't like her for a few reasons:
- She's a stealthy hit and run killer. I don't like playing against that playstyle but it's manageable at the moment because of CoH.
- Her passive phasing (never liked it on Spirit either).
- Her lunges feel like Freddy 2.0 (I know it's just because she's short).
Thats how I felt as well. Her passive phasing pretty much guarantees a free hit if the tile is short, can easily throw you off. Most of time shes weak m1 and can be looped fine, just not a fan of the "oh ok U found me in a bad spot out of nowhere, guess ur getting a free hit then" playstyle.

Yes, I'm brazilian and I can confirm chat filter is banning very random words, the other day it censored the word "honor" for me lmao

Ok heres my two cents. I personally like to play going for lots of chases and try to avoid tunneling and camping, but not every game you can get away with playing that nice. So here comes so general tips as killer and then some advice for billy.
Getting a good start: Survivors often spawn in gens a bit further from you, when you go in direction of a gen try looking aroud all the area so you don't miss a survivor trying to move/hide, pay attention to scratch marks and don't need to get too close to the gen as long as you listen to its progress. If you're using corrupt intervention, don't stick too long near the gens that are protected, you will probably find survivors by just coming back to the gens that were near you.
- When to tunnel(optional, can make you win the game tho):
- 1 - If you get a down at 5 gens, and some1 farms the guy, you can tunnel if you want to get a early DS out or get amazing pressure right off the bat, its up to you tho.
- 2 - If you made some mistakes and lost lots of gens, you might have to try a risky tunnel to get some1 out of the game fast, but if you get DS'ed or take too long to get the down, you might lose the game, its a gamble you have to keep in mind.
- 3 - If you have a mori and some1 is in death hook, since you don't need to pick up, you can just tunnel and mori.
When to camp(optional, can make you win the game tho):
- 1 - When you get 2 or more people in hooks close to each other or basement, or any scenario that can give you massive pressure.
- 2 - When you're not getting any chase/survivors are late for rescue > and the guy on hook is almost hitting second/third stage, you can try to stay around and secure it, that gives you pressure.
- 3 - If you get some1 in the basement as trapper, you can trap all entrances/window.
- 4 - If you get a hook in endgame and you want to try to secure a kill at least.
When to slug:
- When someone has DS or survivors are being extremely altruistic and sticking grouped for too long, especially if you are an instadown killer and/or have infectious fright. Slug can give you massive pressure if you can get away with it, be careful with 3-4 men slugs tho cause someone will probably have unbreakable and can turn the game. Gotta use your game sense to know when its worth trying to slug or not.
Billy:
- 1 - Billy is mostly fun when you're attempting curves, the first thing to do is to go to settings and set your "controller sensitivity" to 100%(even on PC, yes), because for some reason that changes how much you can do the initial curve turn with billy.
- 2 - If you wanna go for curves, you might need at least 1 engraving, otherwise its too easy for the survivor to react and dodge. A good place to start is a green engraving + the overheat addon.
- 3 - I don't recommend tuned carburattor because will make billy 110% mov speed instead of 115%.
- 4 - Watch GTVEL on twitch, hes a billy main and can give you rly good advices and you can learn a lot of billys potential by watching him or good billy mains. And you can learn which playstyle billy can get away with.
Your build:
Billy can usually get away with one or no gen slowdowns perks at all, because of his mobility + instadown he can get loads of pressure. But since you're having trouble, I would recommend trade Tinkerer for Pop Goes the Weasel, or shadowborn if you want. Pop synergizes well with barbecue and billy mobility, and rewards you for the downs you get. Other rly good perk for billy/bubba/myers is bamboozle, you can force pallets to be dropped or get a down rly quick if you use bamboozle well, don't be too predictable tho because the survivors will adapt once they know you have bamboozle.
Well, hope this helps a bit :D Keep practicing and most important, have fun in the process π

Fun topic, heres mine :D
I would put nurse higher if she didn't give me motion sickness :(
And I agree, nemesis is pretty based π

I would say on average itβs about two a web. Yellows pop up pretty frequently. Purples I usually only get four-ish purples in a web and then thereβs four addons and three offerings that can spawn. So 1/7 with four chances, they arenβt consistent at all.
Even with yellows I'm being quite unlucky, I have been getting more black wards than chillis lol, at least that helps

If I was looking at picking up this game for the first time, lets say becasue I like "the ring" or something. Think about how terrible it is having to grind up all those bloodpoints. Not to mention that the dlc for this game is mega expensive.
People who are playing the game now are playing becasue they like the gameplay.
is there even any progress being made to fix this?

In a very band-aidish and RNG dependent way, I think public matches are kinda balanced, as long as you're playing with a decent build(as killer) and as survivor the game is pretty relaxing, and if you're experienced you will win most of your games on both sides. The problem is, you can lose in such snowballish way that feels very frustrating and can feel awful, but the game is def in a better state than back when infinites were a thing.
For high level and competitive play, I think the balance is not even close to a good spot. Tournaments have loads of restrictions to make things somewhat balanced, and mostly consist of top tier killers, but if MAJORITY of the cast is not viable, and majority of the maps are banned, I don't consider the game in its "pure" state balanced for competitive play. But sure, if you're a god blight or nurse, you pretty much should fear no one and most of the sweaty public matches you lose will be on you, but with a bottom tier killer you're not playing the game on equal fields vs a rly good team, unless they're messing around and being ultra altruistic and throwing the game xD.
I can see the game getting quite repetitive tho, imo the meta of dbd is SUPER stale and would be nice if they spiced things up. And the AWFUL bloodpoint grind makes things even more stale and demotivating for lots of players, they need to address it afap if they wanna put the game in a healthier state.
-
B-but Sluzzy, I earned my Pops with sweat and blood! I thought I deserved it π₯
-
I mean... That would fix only a part of the problem anyway, theres still plenty of characters with good camping potential, people will just move to them if bubba gets nerfed. Pinky finger clown, Iri Head huntress, trickster, trapper with basement, billy, all good at camping too.
-
Same could be said for Billy btw

How very insightful.

It still can be done with instadown killers, but this is what happens: everything was iridescent except "chaser" emblem, because of the instadown. This was a 12 hook game, but since I only m1 once during the match my chaser emblem was silver. Still was enough to double pip because I went for loads of chases, kicked gens with pop and 4k'ed, so the other emblems compensated
-
@StarLost said:
It's not super hard, it's just tedious and requires you to sort of 'unplay' the game.
- You need to hit people a lot. Not necessarily down them, just lots of hit events. This means that killers who inflict a lot of strikes do well here (Hag, Nemesis, Cenobite) while instadown killers are much more difficult. Artist is also a little crap, because for some reason bird strikes do not count as 'hit events', or didn't last time I checked.
- Similarly, you need a lot of chases - preferably ending in a hit as fast as possible, gen damage and pallet hit events.
- You need a good amount of hook events - I think the most you need is 9 (you can maybe squeak a Ruthless with less, but it's rare on most killers). Meaning that you'll want to have sacrificed 2 survivors and have both others on death hook if you can manage it.
- Ash-Gold 1 is very easy, the rest can be a bit of a slog.
Now, if you are regularly 3-4king, it's a little more lenient. The major downside is people suiciding or DCing.
Wraith and Legion are great 'rankers' - their speed allows them to get rapid hit events with short chases. Myers, Billy, Bubba, Ghosty and Artist I've found to be really bad rankers.
These are good advices, remember to play focusing on the pip system, not on kills (if you get 4k's fast you probably won't rank up grade wise, only your mmr will raise). I find killer much faster to rank up than survivor, but you gotta have experience with killer. As survivor u can't always get enough chases/saves/gens because ur not always in control of these scenarios, making it slower to rank up IMO.

Also yes, the new TCM movie kind of sucked but if you just want some cool gory kills, you could do worse. The movie reminds me too much of Halloween Kills (in a bad way) where they have no idea what the character is or what to do with them. Leatherface could have been replaced with any killer and the movie would have been the exact same thing. He was there for name recognition and that's it.
Yea, theres no character development at all in that movie. And they tried to make Sally a copycat of laurie in the most cheap way possible π€£
